I hope you learn how to let go of a love that won’t love you back.
I hope you learn how to let go of the stories you tell yourself, of the ways in which you have let all that has hurt you, all that has bruised your soul, convince you that you needed to settle for less than what your heart desired.

Well all I can say is it's a bugger when you have to travel 9 miles for a cup of coffee because the powerlines are down AGAIN!

I know the nadja is technically still married to polly's dad, but has she thought about dating again? Finding a nice monster to settle down with?

a teaser of Settle, please?
“Oh,” Zig spoke up, nudging you as you tucked into a namba patty, “Someone asked me some questions about you.”
You raised a brow, glancing at him.
“Me?”
He nodded, “No clue who it was— but when they finished asking, they headed off toward Jabba’s old place.”
Al and Pozz went quiet, then, looking between you and Zig. It was no secret that Fett was back, that Bib Fortuna was gone. You couldn’t imagine who it was that was asking Zig questions, if not Fett.
“What did they wanna know?” You asked.
“Where you were, if you’re still taking bounties—how many of us are here.”
“What’d you tell them?”
“They’d have to ask you themselves.”
“This person give you a name?”
“Shand.”
Your eyes lifted to where Andesse was standing in the doorway, drying her hands. You nodded a little bit, turning back to your plate and cutting off a piece of the patty for Ezzie as her hands grabbed for it. You were trying not to be concerned, but—well, Jabba’s old place couldn’t be anything but bad news.
Send me an ask with the title that most intrigues you and I’ll post a little snippet of it or tell you something about it.

It's time, it's time for Supper!
We're calm, we're calm, we're settling.
Look at us settle calmly.

Yes, thank you, exactly. Settle. Because otherwise you're just gonna get older and harder, and more alone. And you're gonna do everything you can to fill that hole, with friends, and your career, and meaningless sex, but the hole doesn't get filled. And one day, you're gonna look around and you're gonna realize that everybody loves you...but nobody likes you. And that is the loneliest feeling in the world.

Don’t settle. Don’t finish crappy books. If you don’t like the menu, leave the restaurant. If you’re not on the right path, get off it.

The truth is, when you settle for an almost, you settle for almosts in every single aspect of a relationship.
Almost happy. Almost valued. Almost chosen.
Yes, the connection holds weight, there is depth there, but it will always exist on the surface of what your soul craves. When you settle for an almost, you’re left waiting to receive the kind of love you have been giving someone all along, you’re holding out for something real, and pointed, and full, to grow from so much uncertainty. But you deserve more than that.
You deserve certainty.

tw// body shaming
I remember one of my exes used to make fun of my small boobs, calling me flat, calling them baseball sized, comparing me to my friends, etc. and when is ask him to stop he’d laugh and say “I’m just joking - you know I still love them, right?” I thought that was love.
My boyfriend now comments on my instagram photos “Wtf you’re so cute 😍😍😍” “I can’t believe i’m dating you whaaat” not a mean or derogatory word has come out of his mouth. If i ask him to stop something, he does. He listens. Now I know what love is.
But the trauma still lingers, my self esteem was shattered. I make flat jokes about myself, and every time I say something like that it just makes me feel bad. I see the pain on my bf’s face now when he sees me do this to myself. It’s been two years since I got out of that relationship.
Ladies, gentlemen, and gentlethems, know your worth. Don’t settle for what you think the best option is. Not being in a relationship is better than being in an abusive one. And, for god’s sake, look out for the red flags. Whatever happens in that relationship will stay with you.

Settle
Wonder Woman: I will settle this argument right now. I will decide this argument. After I have settled it, we can all settle down for a quiet evening. We can rest and have a quiet night.
