i have a request. out of the BNHA boys who would put up the biggest fight before (most to least) allowing their alpha to take care of them when they are sick.

Hmm, let's see~

LEAST RESISTANCE:

Denki - gives the least resistance by far. Not only is he fine with you looking after him, he relishes in it, demands it even. Loves to be babied when he's sick. He's the type to demand cuddles with grabby hands and only accept medicine when he's bribed with kisses.

Todoroki - He is surprised that you want to take care of him in such a way, but he won't stop you, and then he realises that it's the best feeling in the world to have someone look after him when he's sick. He takes any care you dish out without a single complaint. He always says thank you. After some time, he'll start to slowly make requests about food or back scratches, that's how you know he truly trusts you.

Shinsou - Shinsou also expects and quite likes being looked after by you, but he's lower down because he's so grumpy and he won't admit it. He comes down with a deadly frown, wrapped in a blanket, nose red, and you know he's sick. He wants to be cuddled up with you more than anything, but omg he's so grumpy if you try to move or make him do something other than sleeping it off or cuddling.

Kirishima - He's so very grateful to you for looking after him, he just... finds it hard to let someone else take care of him without giving anything back. He resists things that involve you going out of your way. For example, if you guys already have orange juice in the kitchen, he's happy for you to pour him a glass, but if you would have to go to the supermarket to get it, he insists he doesn't need it.

Mic - He plays up his sickness at first, begging and pouting for you to look after him, but when you actually turn all your attention towards fussing over him, he gets shy and immediately backtracks. He says that he's fine and needs to get to work, he has three jobs after all and he hates letting people down! But he will give in and be a shy, blushy baby as you take care of him, if you insist.

Midoriya - He wants to like being taken care of so, so badly, but it feels so wrong to him. He feels like he's faking it, even if he can't stand up without vomiting or he can't open his eyes because of the migraine. He feels like he's lying for attention even though he isn't. He also hates taking days off of work because he always imagines someone needing his help and not getting it because he was too weak to fight a sickness. He will need to be wrestled into bed and supervised at all times. He's good at taking medicine though!

Bakugou - I'm not sick! Those are words you will hear over and over again with Bakugou. Ultimately he's afraid of weakness and being seen as weak. He has a 'rational' explanation for every symptom he has and the explanation of 'he's sick' is not on the list. He will fight you about it and when he knows he's losing, he'll lock himself away to sulk about it and pine from a distance. He will let you cook for him, that's allowed, but no babying him unless he's literally delirious with a fever. (The longer you've been in a relationship with him, the better he is though.)

Aizawa - He will admit to being sick, because he's grumpy and likes to complain about everything, but that absolutely does not mean that he lets you take care of him. No, he insists that if he takes a break now, he'll only be screwing over his future self, so he continues his routine as normal, refusing to see that he's obviously making himself sicker. The best you can do is help from the sidelines: packing him a lunch so he actually eats, picking up his medicine so he doesn't just decide he doesn't need it because he can't be bothered, turning off his alarm and calling him out sick from his hero work without his permission, that kind of thing.

Hawks - Hawks gets a little weird when he's sick. If Bakugou is scared of being weak, then Hawks is terrified of it, truly and deeply frightened by the concept. He will lie through his teeth about being sick. Nope, he's fine! And he has no idea what you're talking about! He gets quite defensive actually. He feels like he'll be punished for being weak, or you'll leave him if you realise how weak he is, or someone will take advantage of him if they know he's sick. There are all these anxieties floating around. He looks haggard and stressed, and he only makes himself sicker. The best case scenario is to come up with a lie for his agency to keep him at home, and then just take care of him without explicitly stating that you're taking care of him. Good luck...

Update: Felt awful at work after my day off.

Went to the ER and turned out I have a sinus infection. I’ve still been drawing bit by bit and I’ve been feeling good about it, but this makes since why I haven’t been having much energy.

I’m sick.

also, one thing nice that’s happened to me lately is that I went on a trip to Italy and tried a lot of new foods and drinks!! it may not seem that significant on the surface level, but I’ve been really struggling with food issues lately and I’ve always been terrified of trying new things, so I’m incredibly proud of myself for how brave I’ve been <3 I even found some new things that I actually enjoy, which is incredibly rare for me!!

I truly hope that you feel better soon, and I wish you the best. But more importantly I humbly ask that you take good care of yourself even if you aren’t feeling well, and that you eat well <33 I am manifesting piles of your favorite safe foods on your plate 🙏

A few medical headcanons.

The only known way to contain the Twins and their mayhem is to put them on a boat, as they both suffer from seasickness. They discovered this on an overseas deployment and are extremely annoyed about it. Robin feels it more intensely than Cherry, try as she might to push through it. [They must roll a con save upon boarding a water-going vessel. The DC varies according to roughness of water and weather conditions.]

All Skullduggans are surprisingly short on battle scars and war wounds. As nobles, they typically have access to a healer, and if they aren't able to reach one in time they're probably going to keep fighting to the death. With that said, the Marquis has two notable marks. Firstly, their nose was clearly broken at some point in the past -- it happened during a common brawl, when military healers weren't on hand, and by the time they realised they probably ought to get it looked at, the common healer's magic could only remove the pain.

The second is a scar on the little finger of their right hand. They like to tell people it was from an enemy's sword, or an assassin's dagger, or various other stories, but once again the truth is rather more mundane. They dropped a glass and, in an attempt to catch it, ended up slicing across the middle of the finger with the edge of a shard, nearly severing it. They no longer have much feeling in that finger. It doesn't bother them, they can still hold a sword, and it's been that way long enough that their brain has learned to compensate, so they no longer notice it in most situations. [They roll certain sleight-of-hand checks with disadvantage.]

My headcanon is that the chance of a scar after healing magic depends on time since the wound was inflicted and the skill of the healer. Injured on one turn, cleric casts Cure Wounds during the same round: no scar. Out of spell slots and have to wait until after a rest/no healer on hand during or after the fight: scar. There's also more chance of a scar if the healer is inexperienced or distracted (for example, in the middle of a hectic, busy battle). Basically, rule of cool.

I went to the doctor a few days ago to get something for acid reflux & to get a referral to see a gastroenterologist. While I was at my doctor appt she asked me if I wanted to get tested for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) which is a bad bacteria in the stomach. Me having IBS figured I should get tested for it as I’m already prone to stomach upset. Well it turns out I do have H pylori, yay! Apparently it’s common & can come from unclean water/ice. I’m on three different medications for it.

lighting a candle on my altar for Apollon and Asklepios as i’ve been very sick for two weeks (i’m suspecting a bacterial infection) and have to go to urgent care tomorrow because my primary care doctor is a) closed on sundays and b) an hour away even if they were open. i’ve prayed to Them for my health and a quick recovery once i get treatment for whatever this is. praying when sick always brings me comfort because even when i’m feeling horrible and my body is weak, i feel a level of calm when i pray that helps at least mentally break through my ick. any extra prayers from y’all are also welcome, i need all the help i can get rn because my finals are coming up…
