Dears, I have entered the hate train after watching another movie with the lovely western representation of Slavs and I despise this stereotypical/ hyper-s**ualised portrayal of, male and female, with all my heart and rotten soul.
I am from a Slavic country and my name is not Svetlana nor Olga and my brother’s name is not Dimitry. I don't know anyone from the mafia, I don't consume alcohol and I don’t steal so you don’t need to hide your gold and tires, I won´t put them in my plastic bag nor will I steal your husband.
Ps: Russia is not the only Slavic Country. The Slavic countries cannot be thrown into one pot. There are cultural, lingual, religious, mythological and other differences. Each country is different and unique.

My Western, mostly American and Anglo-Saxon friends: Halloween
My Celtic friends: Samhain
Me, a Slav: DZIADY
But seriously, I really recommend you to read about Dziady (or the Forefathers’ Eve, as that’s how it is sometimes translated into English). It is traditionally celebrated in Belarus, Ukraine, Baltic countries, and some parts of Poland as well. Similarly to Celtic Samhain, it is also believed that during Dziady our ancestors come back to the world of the living. As the descendants, we are obligated to welcome them properly, commemorate them, and learn from whatever advice they may have for us. It's really cool, Adam Mickiewicz, the national poet of Poland, Lithuania and Belarus, even wrote a drama inspired by this feast!

Why do Slavs try to separate themselves from their whiteness so bad lmfaoo y'all are white as hell why deny it
Let me answer your question, pal
Because slavs aren't western white!
We look white, yes. Although not always, for example, my dad is more dark-skinned and honestly looks mixed and my grandpa had REALLY dark skin as for a white person and I come from a line of pure Slavic blood. Culturally and historically, we have nothing to do with what you see as "whiteness"
Are western white people discriminated against (based on ethnicity ofc)? No! Well, Slavs are!
let's take a look at Jessica from Ohio, Olivia from London, and Zuzanna from Mazowieckie. All are white, we'll see so many differences in how they were raised, how they act, and how they treat their family, culture, and history.
So, Slavs are technically white but not really, we do not fit into your definition of white.

Now I'm imagining some hypothetical reddit guy proudly proclaiming that he's stopped consuming exploitative Russian porn in favour of exploitative Ukrainian porn as solidarity. He has to exist somewhere.

hannibal 2013 is like "what if james wilson house md got to be house's therapist. and also had to resort to actually killing people to feel guilty and fulfilled instead of just being an oncologist. and also was explicitly canonically slavic. what then.

well...um...god!! It took me 23 hours and 52 minutes to draw this! what the fuck is this!? It felt like it was a maximum of 10 hours, but here it is!!! Ahem....okay, it doesn't matter. This is a trade with my Ukrainian friend, yes, she herself is shocked that I have these. The art depicts my Natasha, if you are my reader, you are already familiar with her, and next to her is the humanization of Ukraine from just this friend. I redesigned her character a little because she wasn't finished yet. Yes, yes, yes, this inscription on the ribbons of her wreath is my brilliant idea!! (I hope I won’t be imprisoned for such jokes and similar dirty tricks)
Later I will probably publish her drawing, if she finishes it at all, and, of course, if she doesn’t mind. she unfortunately, it’s not on the tumblr, and I’m not sure that it will appear😶😶😶

tales from the sportsbook! context under the break
this person was a regular, in that he was barely of age but never had ID and kept coming in with minors. a sportsbook is a casino. you are not allowed to do that. i kicked him out whenever he wasn’t alone.
“kur ne me boli” is basically our “i do not give a singular fuck”. but you are also directly calling to the existence of your penis when you say it.
so i was kicking him out, he’s making all these excuses, as they do… and he looks super surprised when i say this and looks at my crotch?? like he makes a big dramatic show of looking at my dick and then being amused about it. like damn, what is your problem.

everytime i look at how people compare the way russian citizens are treated in light of the russian invasion of ukraine and the way israeli people and jews are treated after oct 7th and it just.... you know, as a person who belongs to all of these cultures, it always feels extremely disingenuous to me and very untruthful

On the way to Bagrinovsky castle // part 1.
These are photos from my trip to the Belarusian village of Bagrinovo. According to an old legend, a certain, very wealthy pan long ago, running away from the advance of enemy troops, dug a tunnel from his castle directly to the ancient town of Drutsk, which was about ten kilometers away. And the castle of this pan, according to legend, was located in Bagrinovo. This historical «fact» is so ingrained in the minds of local residents that even young people still call the big quarry opposite Bagrinovsky cemetery a «castle». On the «castle», for example, you can always find noble mushrooms, also on the «castle» cheerful companies like to gather with guitars around the campfire, hiding in the «castle walls» from the reproachful gaze of fellow villagers.
In addition to the tunnel, pan distinguished himself in the memory of local villagers by the fact that before leaving his land, he hid seven golden statues in the ground, which still interest the minds of treasure seekers and adventurers. One day, armed with a metal detector, a team consisting of residents of the village of Bagrinovo and the neighboring village of Volkovichi went in search of the treasure. Between Bagrinovo and the present agro-town of Drutsk near the village of Reuchye, they found an abandoned and almost collapsed chapel. It was interesting not only her age, but also her remote position from the human eye and underground passages that went deep underground. Unfortunately, due to the location of the ruins and the lack of special equipment, it was not possible to explore these passages.
