Realistic Scara Reverse Isekai Headcanons

In my Scara brainrot era

Reverse isekai AU, except realistic

Author's Note: I was really thinking about this one for a few days and then stumbled upon quite a few reverse isekai Scara fics, and yes, they were all really good, but personally I think realistically, things would go a lot differently. A bit self-indulgent so I’m using my workplace (hostess at a nice restaurant) for the main setting/ place of employment in these headcanons. Also, because while I was brainstorming, I couldn’t really think of a better natural way for Scaramouche to make an appearance that doesn’t involve him falling out of the sky or just appearing out of nowhere.

Imagine walking into work through the front door, maybe you’re a few minutes late, but definitely arriving right in the middle of this whole ordeal of a strangely dressed man with a large hat arguing with your coworkers.

As the genshin fan you are, you could obviously tell the man was dressed as Scaramouche (in his wanderer era)

Finding it a little out of place for someone to be visiting a nice restaurant dressed in such a way you assumed that maybe he was coming back from a con nearby you didn’t know about.

But oh, his cosplay looks really good, almost like the character really stepped out of the game (little do you know) so of course you must compliment him! “Oh! Sir! I really like your Scaramouche cosplay!”

What a mistake that was, you’re lucky he’s the wanderer now.

He’d probably jolt over to facing you with his signature glare painting his face, how did you know who he was? How did you know his old name? didn’t he erase his existence from Irminsul? Were you working for Dottore and the fatui? And what did you mean buy cosplay?

Luckily, he refrains himself from using violence to question you on the spot, “How does a pathetic mortal like you know my name?” would be his first question

Of course, you’d be met with an irritated sign when you tilt your head to the side in confusion, followed by your puzzled expression at his behavior.

“Forget it, I just need to buy some food what food can I get in this shabby little place for under 500 mora” for some reason ever since he woke up here, he’s been hungry?

Well of course he’s hungry, living puppets don’t exactly exist here meaning Scaramouche has become a human now!

At this point you’d probably start looking for hidden cameras or wondering if this guy is just really committed to being in character. “Sorry sir, but mora isn’t a real form of money, I can let you look at the menu if you’d like to see our prices.”

Scaramouche was not amused and neither were you, the both of you probably went back and forth at each other for a solid 5 minutes before you asked him to step outside as he was disturbing customers, so now you stand outside with Scaramouche still trying to get it through to him that he should really stop trying to act so in character and that although his acting skills were very convincing, you knew better and knew there was no way a fictional character could be real(or so you thought)

You probably thought this man might be crazy, maybe he has some sort of unresolved mental problems? Where did he even come from; he didn’t even seem to have any mode of transportation with him? You were super close to getting your coworkers to call the police since nothing you were saying was getting through to the strange man infront of you.

You might also act with caution, if this man really thought he was Scaramouche, knowing the former harbinger’s personality he could be quite dangerous.

Scaramouche however is probably the one thinking you’re quite stupid, he got you to play along and answer some of his questions and through your explanations he found out he's in a different world from his own and that here, he’s actually a character from a game (how ridiculous)

He also found out he has now become a mere human here(yay he has a heart now)and that his vision is pretty much useless here (that could really become a problem) followed by the realization this world seems to have a lot of pointless laws, what do you mean he needs a birth certificate? Social security number? He can’t just wander around and can’t even survive here without money?!

Scaramouche really doesn’t want to deal with the authorities here, he’s realized quite fast that this world is nowhere close to being like Teyvat and since he can’t even just survive by wandering around and exploring, he didn't feel like getting into trouble just yet, especially before he has his situation properly figured out.

Now instead of you trying to explain the situation to Scaramouche, he’s the one having to explain himself to you, the real question is how does he convince you that he’s none other than the former 6th harbinger and not some crazy person dressed like him?

After a lengthy conversation he finally manages to somewhat convince you he’s actually Scaramouche. You’d have to bring him back inside and buy the poor guy food, he hasn’t eaten since he ended up in your world and has no money, you’d have to think of something to tell your manager and coworkers about the situation and coming up with an excuse for him. Poor you realizing you still haven’t even been clocked in this whole time

You’d also have to take him home with you like a lost homeless kitten, if you live at home good luck explaining everything to your family without them thinking that YOU are now the crazy one.

Good luck living with this man too, he’s a menace

Not to mention if you’re a student you’d probably be taking him to school with you, he’d have a lot of trouble surviving here without at the very least a high school diploma.

Was super happy to find out he has fans here (although questions the sanity of a few of them at times)

If you thought he was bad at home, he's an even bigger menace at school. Despite his snarky and rude remarks you somehow managed to become close friends with him! You’re also the only friend he’s got “Why would I bother to put in the effort to entertain these pathetic people” is what he’d tell you

He’d mumble out a “thank you” so quietly you almost missed it but despite his usual behavior he was grateful to you for letting him stay with you and not abandoning him like the rest even though you should’ve been the one thanking him for giving you the opportunity to house someone as great as him.

if you can’t cook she definitely tests out tutorials on you and asks for your advice on how to explain stuff

and if you can cook she definitely asks you to participate in friendly cooking competitions or challenges with her (her food is always better but she’s a sweetheart about it)

in my soul she has a hyperfixation on toy production so despite her young age her reviews are lowkey mad informative and oddly insightful

especially favors puzzle games and those fake pet toys (i had one of a cat growing up and i loved mr whiskers with my heart and soul)

tries to edit her videos herself, but eventually her big sibling (you) edits them while she watches and makes suggestions

you manage the ‘business’ side of the channel, like helping decide which toys to review and where to get them and manage any sponsorships and explain what those mean (she picks it up real fast though)

i imagine teucer also has a two review channel so the two would become friends while reader & childe are jokingly in a rivalry (or at least reader takes it as a joke, child is very 50/50)

Aether (romantic or platonic)

wholesome travel blogger who people keep trying to beat in subscriber count before deciding to become his friend

i imagine the abyss is like a company that tried to sponsor aether but he refused because the company was against his morals, and like the fauti are another company that has the same situation going on

enjoys showing people the best places to go in different countries and how to save lots of money while doing so

paimon is definitely his younger sister or like close enough friend that they’re basically siblings who goes with him and is really good with languages so she helps aether out

didn’t really have a set house anywhere and would just edit in hotel rooms or friends’ houses until he formed the youtube group 5wirl and they live together in a big house

people were worried about what his content would be during quarantine so he switched to making content with 5wirl and playing variety games while also still making content about how he plans his next destinations and stuff

definitely plays geoguesser he’s been everywhere he’s a god at it

literally collabs with everyone he’s so friendly, being with him would be a bit frustrating because at least before 5wirl you’re always going to be moving around but he treats you like royalty

it’s a little different of a format, basically heizou does research of unsolved cases and presents his theories while kazuha does research on solved cases and heizou tries to figure out who the culprit was

likes to play music games as well, i headcannon that he has perfect pitch so he likes to do perfect pitch tests on stream (he has ‘beef’ with venti because they both have perfect pitch and do perfect pitch contests on stream and shit)

very aesthetic instagram, he occasionally collabs with aether to do some travel style stuff every once in a while to take a break as to not get burnt out from just doing the same content style

does solo content on the shared channel with heizou where he plays survival style games and shows off his fencing skills

kazuha has a fucked up sleep schedule but it wouldn’t affect you since he’s always mindful of his volume

tomo used to be the channel editor until he decided to go to film school and didn’t have anymore time so kazuha & heizou take turns editing with your aid

likes to play animal crossing on stream with you or team survival games like raft and always makes sure that if only one of you can survive it’s going to be you

1/2 of shared channel with kazuha, it was originally his idea and he brought it up to kazuha because they were friends in highschool and thought at the very least it’d be a nice way to reconnect

when kazuha is on break for solo content he likes to play murder mystery games or invites you, xiao & venti (since heizou & aether are out filming travel content) to play clue with him. does he always win? yes. but it’s still really fun since venti likes to get very into his assigned persona/character and you do the same :)

also likes to do quizzes on the internet of like reading facial/body language and is INSANELY good at it

gets easily distracted from researching unsolved cases so you always help him stay focused and do research and he’s eternally grateful for that

doesn’t particularly enjoy playing jackbox games or any group variety stuff unless it’s with you & anyone from 5wirl

doesn’t really collab with sara but the two are friends and hang out at cons

always ropes you into acting in videos with kazuha that give people tips to remain safe in any sort of situation and not get taken advantage of

kaeya (romantic or platonic)

when not doing drunk streams with venti and occasionally rosaria he’s a fashion youtuber 100%

loves roasting subscriber outfits and also covers the history of trends

lovingly makes fun of his friends’ fashion sense but it’s all in good fun

makes sure whenever you go with him to cons y’all are the best dressed

the knights of favonius are a talent/management agency and aether is called an honorary knight because while he’s not part of the agency he does collab with a lot of their members

most stylish and lowkey youtuber merch

claims to be diluc’s brother, no one believes him and think he only says that so dawn winery can sponsor him and send him wine

usually has a good sleep schedule, but all his drunk streams are always at like 2 am so good luck with dealing with his hangover

the morning after drunk streams are always hell for the both of you

I genuinely think ayato would be very in favor of keeping your relationship a secret, at least for a little while. He knows being in the public eye can be… overwhelming for many, himself included, and he wouldn’t dare push that onto you. He just wants… everything in its place for lack of a better term, before you announce you’re dating.

Though despite the fact he literally suggested you keep your relationship a secret… he’ll openly flirt, and tease with you in public. All the time. I’m front of people. Important people. And then also thoma and ayaka, but they don’t care (ayaka will 100% tease her brother though!)

Definitely has thought to himself “don’t hold their hand, the leader of the kujou clan is right there. Don’t do it.” Because I do believe ayato has his… clingy moments. Listen he just wants to love, and he often times shows that live through small gestures like holding your hand. If he does hold your hand out of habit though, he’ll play it off as nothing, a… friendly gesture if you will.

So much affection in private, oh my god. Imagine this, you come home late at night after a long day of meetings and surprisingly ayato is finished with his work, waiting for you in your shared room reading a book. Instantly he will pull you under the covers with him and just… lay there. You won’t move for a while unfortunately.

Likes having your presence just..: near him. At all times. It he can’t kiss you on your boba date (which looks like a simple, friendly outing to many) then he’ll have you near him at least throughout the rest of your day.

Kazuha doesn’t… get it… really. Why do you want to hide your relationship? I mean yes it’s nice having this sorta “secret” between the two of you… alright. He’ll agree.

He honestly has a very easy time with this. He’s not a huge fan of pda, opting for mostly a kiss on the cheek, the back of your hand, or just holding your hand (if you were open about your relationship that is), so he’s just kinda… hanging out.

I like to headcanon that a lot of people like kazuha. He’s an attractive guy, and is easy to get along with, so many people either casually strike up conversation with him, which could lead to flirting depending on the person. He has almost said “oh this is my s/o” every time.

Writes you into a lot of his poems, and when he publishes them everyone’s like “yo??? Who’s this beautiful person the author is talking about???” Obviously it’s you. It’s a silent way for kazuha to say publicly that he loves you without anyone knowing.

Talks about you to his closest friends. They’re the only ones that know, and they’re sworn to secrecy, and they don’t ever stop hearing about you. KAZUHA HAS TO SHOW HIS LOVE SOMEHOW OKAY LET THE MAN HAVE THIS.

For some information to make your job easier, I am an ESTP and a Scorpio—also bisexual with a penchant for ladies!

Personality-wise, it's a bit tricky to explain. To new people, I come off as polite but cold. Especially if they are older than me, I mean them no harm, truly!

However, for my friends and loved ones, I do a complete 180! I love to shower them with affection, may it be gifts, words, actions, or anything! (I am also quite playful, chatty, and witty!)

I also love to have light-hearted banter. (Though, I do tend to find sarcasm flying over my head, so... oops?) Helping people is also something I enjoy doing, especially if it is something I am good at. (Which is usually just editing people’s essays or helping them out in English in general.)

As for hobbies, I don’t think I have that many. Reading and writing are my main hobbies. But, at the core of it, I enjoy creating and sharing my stories with people. Thus making me a fan of any medium that can do that, i.e., art, acting, or hell, even clay sculptures!

I don’t want to go too deep, so I’ll keep this as short and sweet as possible. I have trouble with my self-esteem, and how I cope is to internalize it and hide it from others. This causes me to not speak up about my emotions, instead bottling them up. Thus resulting in building a steady amount of resentment until it explodes.

However, my anger is usually quite short and only really lasts for a few hours at worst, so I usually take a day off or two to collect my thoughts. After that, I do go apologize to the persona and try to make up!

(Fair warning I’ve only seen the anime and the anime isn’t finished yet so if i may be writing Kana a bit surface level here i apologize)

You and Kana are that cute rivals to lovers trope. Ever since you were young you two have been competing to reach the top of the industry to share your talent and passions with the world.

You met as two child actors auditioning for the same role when you were 2 or 3 years old. Two up and coming actors going for the same role of course led to some conflict of course.

Kana was confident that she would get the role over you due to being a “child acting prodigy”. You just nodded your head and went along with whatever she was saying (it wasn’t a huge film so there weren’t a lot of other girls auditioning so you two had a lot of time to spend together during the process). Apparently, she didn’t like that you seemed to be ignoring her ravings and deemed it a (one sided) competition between you two to prove a point.

To her dismay however, when it was your turn to audition you caused everyone’s jaws (including her’s) to drop and the directors immediately chose you without a second thought. From that day on a fire was lit with in Kana that one day she would surpass you and now you were rivals. You on the other hand didn’t think your performance was that great and didn’t understand why Kana was so determined to compete with you.

Years passed, you and Kana were moving up from child actors to rising stars. As you and Kana got more roles your self-esteem started to get in the way. You couldn’t help but compare yourself to her and her success. You didn’t understand what she saw in you worthy of deeming you a rival when she was so blindingly brilliant. But instead of making you feel worse about yourself, it made you determined to be better; to be worthy of being her rival.

You two finally met face to face again when you got into Yoto High’s performing arts program, and your rivalry was burning as intensely as ever. You two met up on the roof one day after class to catch up after the last few years. Despite having spent so long apart it wasn’t awkward at all, on the contrary it was full of laughs and fond memories. However, when you two were about to leave you talked about your resolve to not lose to the other (because dramatic).

When it was time for the biggest production of the year you both auditioned for the same part just like all those years ago. However, this time was different, this time she got the lead; and you were her love interest…

Despite the awkwardness you two were determined to stick to your parts. So, you two started to spend more time after school to make your performance as a couple more believable, going on “dates”, holding hands, and flirting. Although as time went on whenever you practiced particular flirtatious lines or holding each other intimately, it started to get hard and harder to tell whether the feelings were real or just acting…

When the night of the play finally arrived, you two performed amazingly. The two were so moved by your (powerful homosexual energy) realistic performance and (sexual tension) moving emotions you brought the audience to tears. And when you reached the kiss scene; you, Kana, and the audience all knew that that kiss was real. You got a standing ovation for your performance.

After the performance you and Kana pronounced your feelings for each other. That you would be each other’s forever rival and no one could ever compare.

You and Kana become such a sweet couple that it rots the teeth. You hold hands, have fancy dinner dates, cuddle in the park, cover each other in kisses, and and have gift giving wars.

When Kana joins the new B Komichi you support her every part of the way and try to help them get new members and advertise. You decided to stay an actress, but you used your connections to help get B Komichi some attention. When Kana was feeling insecure about being the front woman of the group, you reassured her that she was perfect for the role. She does the same for you whenever you’re feeling insecure about getting the lead in a film or show (which has been happening a lot because you’re that good).

Of course the paparazzi eats that up and stalks your relationship like crazy, but because you’re both famous people are a lot more supportive of it (cause the world is fucked up like that).

All and all you guys are cute and perfect for each other. You pick each other up and encourage one another to grow and be better performers and people.

Wow I got really carried away with this one. This ended up being heavily based on Revue Starlight (Maya Tendo x Claudine Saijo in episode 10 specifically good show highly recommend). I hope you like it I had a lot of fun with this one and I'm really proud of it.

Runners Up: no one because I like this pairing it's perfect.

First fic review ever, I read a kinda popoular chiscara fanfic, here's my take on it!

Scara fucks Dottore (it isn’t as bad as you think), No Beta We Die Like La Signora (Fuck You Genshin Impact)

Plot:

“I’m convinced he thinks you two are flirting.” “He’d have to be an idiot to think that,” Scaramouche replies, appalled by the thought. And then it hits him like a freight train. Childe is an idiot.

In which Scaramouche has the misfortune of being college roommates with his arch-nemesis.

Positive points: the banter between Scara and Childe is really nice to read, funny, with witty remarks, the build up is done fairly nice, I can’t argue with that; scara has other friends in the fics and their relationship is handled in a funny way, I’ve found myself laughing many times, kazuscara friendship is really cute, the spicy part was overall nicely written.

Negative points: sometimes the register is too colloquial for my likings, scara’s friends look like they have nothing to talk about beside the main couple, there are many innuendos even when not needed, it felt unrealistic at some points, like when Scara jerks off and talks out loud a lot just so that Childe can catch him red handed, plus I’m not a fan of the daddy kink sorry guys, and the love declaration at the end feels a bit out of place.

Silly quotes:

Childe wasn’t just a pain in his ass, he was the pain in his ass—no innuendo implied.

“You’re gonna worry me sick, aren’t you?”

“I never asked you to worry,” Scaramouche says and the bite is weaker than usual, but he has nothing else to say.

“Right, my bad, let me just turn off my emotions really quick.”

“So, does this mean I can call you Kuni-chan?”

“There are other ways to ask me to punch you in the face.”

“Could you even reach?”

“Wanna bet?”

“So, let me get this straight,” Gorou pinches the bridge of his nose.

“That’ll be hard for you,” Childe jokes.

So, it wasn’t a facade then.

Childe really is stupid and he’s been stupid since a very young age.

Would recommend? depends on what you like. All in all it’s a fun ride that’s not too long, some parts are a bit cringe or unnecessary, while others are there just for plot reason, and even if I didn’t personally liked the smut part, if you find it appealing, go check it out.

It’s not hypocritical to like Wanderer but not the rest of the harbingers, you’d know that if you knew my reasons instead of just assuming them. Arle is a cult leader and child abuser, Signora’s only done everything she’s done because she was weak and couldn’t cope with the same grief everyone else in Teyvat was feeling without becoming a terrorist, Dottore is annoying and he preformed those experiments on Collei, Childe is just really fucking obnoxious with how he acts like he’s friends with the traveler after all he’s done. I like Wanderer because he reminds me of an oc I have. I don’t even like him romantically.

So yeah, assumptions, on top of strawmans, on top of second grade insults, real solid argument you have there, bud.

I have no reason to care that you think I’m boring. hey! I've just read you're post about genshin being a escape mechanism and if it's alright if like to request a version with Thoma if not that's chill. btw its really neat to read a take where they are self aware in that way

A/N: also thoma might be a little ooc

ever since Thomas leak, you had been hyped for the release of the character, first off; male wife energy and second off; he’s a cool guy and gets too much hate from the NPC’s in game! and also you really liked his design ever since it’s been leaked, and was looking forward to any Thomas updates, let’s just say this started a new found obsession, but unknowingly a self-aware obsession was also made, but from behind the screen

as a student it was stressful to prepare for exams, you often took your mind off of it by playing genshin, infact thoma was probably the whole reason you joined genshin! you were lucky Thomas was a 4 star! that way you could get him more easily, while wishing on hu tao’s his banner, you luckily got him! under a few ten pulls.

after that you immediately started building him with all your savings, excited that you got your favorite character! his playstyle was fun to play, and you really enjoyed using thoma, maybe using him like all the time when your on genshin?? you were just a huge fan, and it’s not like your hyperfixation would impact anybody right? wrong. Meanwhile, suspicious.. things were happening a few days after you got thoma.

when I say that I mean non-existing voice Lines? lines that your friends swore up to heaven until earth that they didn’t exist, but you simply didn’t mind them! it started getting, well.. a bit extreme after that, such as bosses already defeated, (one time you logged in genshin to fight the pyro hypostasis and... it was already defeated?. Is mihoyo playing a trick on you?) getting extra primogems when you swore you didn’t have that many last time you were on..

and the freakiest thing was that, whenever you were AFK and thoma was there.. creepy voice lines such as ‘why did you leave me hanging? please don’t do that again!’ or.. ‘your room looks really nice! did you decorate it yourself?’ its as if he could see you.. after that you didnt dare to open genshin for a few days, a certain person was not quite happy about that.

he would revive himself, when you swore he was dead last second?! you tried contacting mihoyo.. but they said they never heard about this glitch and couldn’t do anything about it, atleast something along the lines of that.. you were starting to get freaked out, which made you consider buying a new phone and starting all over because you didn’t wanna deal with any creepy stalkers you already have one and he’s ready to pounce.

you were hesitant, hesitant to open genshin, but once you have, your fate will be sealed, and you can’t do anything about it, too bad. As they say: curiosity killed the cat

”you want to escape reality? Then please! come with me, it’ll be so much better, dont you think?”

Streamer!Scaramouche [2]

thanks for all the support in the first part! i wrote a second part where scaramouche plays genshin + the reader comes in (i tried to make it as gender neutral as possible, so let me know if there’s something off!). you’re a close friend of scaramouche and also a voice actor!

i had been planning this since i wrote the first part, but because i was busy and uninspired i couldn’t finish it. but here it is and it’s actually pretty long (over 5k words...)! i hope you guys will like this!! obviously he’s a little nicer than he is in game but,,, for the sake of the plot + it being a modern au, it had to be done sjnfdskjf

He was selected to play the beta for genshin because of his popularity and tbh he really wanted to play it

The game hadn’t really caught his eye all that much when he first heard about it but he saw how everyone online went crazy over it (plus other streamers who also were selected to play it in early access kept talking about it) and he became more curious to know what it would be like and if it’d live to everyone’s expectations

However he couldn’t really play it until it was officially released because he had a very busy schedule, and when he saw other streams of people playing it he was,,, lowkey jealous because it did look fun

When it was finally released and the game finished downloading and installing, he went live right away

And since so many people were looking forward to seeing him play plus the game was getting so popular so fast, that stream of when he first played hit his biggest milestone of live viewers ever

ANYWAYS skip forward to further into the game

when it comes to the gacha,,,

we’ve established that this boy is loaded. he won’t hesitate to throw some big amounts of money at the game to get every single character and weapon he wants and get their constellations to the max

i feel like he’d make little bets (and it works as a way to thank the chat for the support) like “if i get (insert newest character) in the first 50 pulls, i will gift 50 subs”

he’d be SOOOOOOO LUCKY it’d make everyone who doesn’t play think that it must be very easy to get the 5 stars or that the drop rate must be very high,,,

so in the end he’d have to gift the subs and it’d be funny to see the chat go absolutely crazy because everyone is commenting at the same time trying to see if they got lucky too and got the sub

but the chat goes so fast that they can’t even see their own comment after they send it sNDJGDJSK

he’d end up turning subs mode on for a while because it goes crazy

and that’s when he’d see people going “I GOT THE SUB-” all excited and he can’t help but chuckle and congratulate them for being one of the lucky ones

probably another game he can use to play with some subs once in a while! they could play co-op and when he’s a very high level he’d go to the worlds of some of his subs with lower level to help them with whatever they need

SO, LITTLE SKIP HERE

this is where i want the reader to slide into the picture

you’d be a voice actor, and also you have been a friend of his for a very long time

he met you even before he started streaming and you were always so supportive of him, as he was of every and each of your dreams

in fact, he would have invited you over more than once to stream with him

people don’t say anything bc they’re afraid of scaramouche banning them (it’s happened before) + they understand it can be disrespectful... but…

some people lowkey ship you two a little bit,,,,,, you didn’t hear it from me. scaramouche don’t ban me----

so one day he’s making another livestream playing genshin (sponsored by mihoyo to promote the newest update and event) and they’re going to release a new character

AND he has told everyone that you are the voice actor of the new character, who will be introduced in the event and is also getting their own banner

so everyone is very curious of what they’ll be like, if scaramouche will try to get them (obviously he will, he has every single character…. the amount of money he has put into the game…. just thinking of it gives me the heebie-jeebies)

could he even,,, main them,,,,

spoiler: he won’t because he’ll stay honest till the end (and no hard feelings) but there are other characters that he has built up to the max just like them and still work better with the way he plays but he’ll still find a chance to use them often

he didn’t know anything of what the character you voiced would be like because you wanted to keep it a surprise and he knew his audience would enjoy seeing his first reactions

I think the character you voice in the game would have the role that Scaramouche has in the actual game, and their design would be fairly similar (maybe similar color palette) to the design fans made for him as a genshin character (the one i mentioned that he uses for popup notifs of subscriptions and all!)

needless to say he’d absolutely love their personality and the charisma you showed in their lines

of course when he finally gets them he shows everything about them including all their voice lines and he compliments y/n’s voice acting… that was the first time people suspected that....

mayhaps… scaramouche….

has feelings for you....

it’s in the soft gaze in his eyes,,, the gentle smile on his lips,,, his soft voice when saying “I think this one is my favorite line of theirs”

and just how BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL his laugh sounds when someone comments he should invite you and ask you to do that voiceline live for him and everyone else

he’d jokingly reach for his phone and be like “should i call them? i could”

(but he wouldn’t because he doesn’t want to disturb you, you may be busy, considering you still hadn’t replied to the messages he sent to you before he started the stream a few hours ago)

if anyone dares be mean to you saying you got the chance to voice act for genshin just bc of scaramouche

or implies that he did something to get you there he’ll get quite mad even tho he won’t speak up about it (he might if enough people say it)

people can see something shift in his gaze,,,, and he bans them permanently right away

it’d be kinda funny when he does those “reading unban requests” streams and he goes past immediately rejecting people who said those kind of stuff, not even reading the apologies JSNKJFNDSJKGNSDK

some people say he’s too strict about it but literally his stream his rules. people who don’t like him should just not watch him

and people who like him should NOT speak badly about you or doubt your talent and effort, which is what brought you that opportunity in the first place

one day he’d be streaming playing the game, he had been using your character and gathering materials to get their last ascension

and at one point he’d grab his phone and look at the screen for a second before putting it back down and saying he had planned something else for tonight besides playing genshin for a while

then, the doorbell would ring (before he could even close the game-) and it’d be heard from his setup room so people in the chat heard it and they’re all like???

it’s definitely not takeout because scaramouche never orders takeout when he’s on his own, he usually cooks for himself and just orders it when he’s with friends and they all feel like eating something different

actually, offtopic, but i have a feeling he’d be very responsible when it comes to food and like he’d cook himself proper meals all perfectly balanced and all- he could afford having someone cook for him but his house = his privacy and personal space so he’d rather do it himself

it’s like, past 10pm, so no way it would be a package or mail at that time

and then he says “we have a visitor tonight”

and then the chat goes crazy saying “CHILDE” “HARBINGERS” but mostly “Y/N!??!?/PLEASE LET IT BE Y/N”

AND IT WAS YOU!!!!

and omg you brought takeout--------

it had been a while since they had seen you in scaramouche’s stream and you didn’t have your own channel (even though there were many people who encouraged you to open one)

SO everyone was very excited

i feel like scaramouche wouldn’t be the biggest fan of eating on camera so you guys would put the food away so that you can eat it later on your own without an audience

and you two would just spend a while talking to the chat, watching videos

AND reviewing fanart and fanmade content together!! it’d be so cute especially fanarts of the two of you together, little animatics or comics of funny clips or memes from his streams of you two,,,

someone made a little felt plushie of the genshin character you voiced and the way you COOED because it was SO cute

only those who were truly paying attention were able to notice the soft smile on scaramouche’s lips and the way he looked at you as you gushed over how cute the little plushie is and how talented the person who made it is!!

also you’d tell him you saw signora make a stream where she talked to some of her fans on discord individually to give them advice on their life/problems (nothing too serious) and it was very funny and you wanted to do that with him someday

and he’s like “that… could be a huge mess. people could say some crazy stuff” and you’re like “NO but i talked to her about it and she said she got her mods to talk to them first and approve them before they moved them up to the channel where she was to talk to her”

and he’s like “still…….. what if people lie and then when they get to talk to us they say something-”

and you’re like “BOY!!!! DO YOU NOT TRUST YOUR FANS *GASP*” and everyone in the chat is also going “GASP” “HE DOESN’T TRUST US…” “IS THIS YOUR IDOL…..?” “SAY SORRY” (all good fun, obviously he’d love to talk to everyone if he could make sure there won’t be anything disrespectful said)

SO!!!!! you two say you’ll plan to do something like that soon and everyone is very excited, they can already tell it’ll be both super cute and hilarious

before he ends the stream, you two watch some videos together

some are about some upcoming videogames and he talks about them and what he knows and explaining things to you... he is.. so knowledgeable…

the way you look at him as he goes into a little rant about it… cinematic parallels with the way he looked at you before

ONCE AGAIN, people aren’t blind. they notice. but they keep it to themselves bc scary scara (the way i had to resist overusing this one joke with his name-)

so the stream ends and you two walk out of the setup room to go to his living room and eat the takeout you brought while watching something on tv

he apologises because the food is cold now, but you brush it off saying it’s ok, you had missed being on his streams and you two can just heat up the food again

he doesn’t look at you in the eyes as he mutters that you know you can join his streams whenever, and instead just says it as he makes his way to the kitchen to heat the food

you join him in the kitchen soon after and tell him you also bought something for dessert and put it in the fridge already before

and honestly he didn’t know how much he wanted to eat that dessert until it was in his fridge, so he can’t stop himself from sighing and saying “god, i love you”

there’s silence for a second, right as the microwave beeps as it finished heating the food

it feels eternal to him, but you immediately started laughing and said jokingly “of course you do! you’re welcome!”

he’s happy you took it as a joke because that’s not how he planned to confess (he didn’t plan to confess anytime soon in the first place) but at the same time ?? he’s lowkey offended inside because? you took it as a joke?? is it so unrealistic that you wouldn’t even think that he meant it romantically?

it’s at that moment that he realises that if he didn’t want to confess before, now he does.

he wouldn’t want anyone to know about how he let that slip because he’s sure no one in you two’s friend group even knows he likes you

but you,,, actually,,,,, were actually caught off guard too because scaramouche wasn’t precisely one for words of affection and he showed his care for everyone with his actions

in fact, you had never heard him say those words before but well- it was kinda nice- if only he meant it as you feel it- but he couldn’t, right? who’d confess their feelings so casually while looking at a dessert in the fridge with desire-------

that night, it gets pretty late and to be honest he’s a little too tired to drive you home as he usually would, so he asks if you’d like to sleep over

it wouldn’t be your first time doing so, not even the first time you stayed unplanned, and he had a couple guest rooms that you could use so you accepted

also, staying for longer meant you could keep watching some more of that series with him without worrying about it getting late

or,,,

“actually” you said in a low voice, almost a whisper, since it was getting late and you two had been in complete silence while watching the series “i lowkey still wanted to stream some more”

he scoffs but then lets out a short chuckle, replying in the same volume

“it’s past 2am, who’s going to watch me stream now?”

“i would” have mercy for his poor heart- “but i’d be the streamer too this time so it doesn’t count”

“what even would we do”

“can we play that co-op game you played with childe? it was so much fun”

had you not brought it up, he wouldn’t have offered that ever because? if he had recently played it with childe he didn’t want to stream it again and make it feel repetitive for his audience

(jokes on him because when genshin came out they put up with it being the only thing he streamed for over a week. they’d rewatch any game if it’s you two playing it)

but to be honest, he didn’t really want to stream anymore that day and just wanted to be with you, just you and no one else

he got up from the couch and walked towards the hallway, making you look up to him in confusion for a second, but then started getting excited knowing this meant he was going to let you play it with him

“i don’t really feel like streaming anymore today, but we can still play it. let’s go”

the next day, you two wake up around the same time and make breakfast together

scaramouche i feel is not very talkative in the mornings

in fact, i feel like he’s just not the most talkative in general. he’s more the type to listen, but it’s different during his streams because he’s doing what he loves and talking about what he loves

and when it comes to you and he talks more it’s because he’s talking to who he loves----

before you’re going to leave and you’re standing at the door about to say goodbye to him, he suddenly speaks up before you can

“do you want to go somewhere tomorrow?”

you raise your eyebrows in curiosity from the sudden request, but then smile at him and nod

“yeah sure! what do you have in min-”

“it’s a date” he said, interrupting you, which was weird enough of him (since he would never interrupt you), but his words were even weirder-

“h-huh?” you felt the heat rising to your cheeks, and scaramouche just repeated his words

on the outside, he looked so casual and just, confident- bUT INSIDE he was actually panicking a little bit

but just a little bit.

After a moment, you smiled at him again, this time somewhat more shily but also excited for your date!

“I look forward to it”

Just with that, you two knew you had made the first step

You weren’t just friends anymore

You two had hung out on your own many times before, in fact and as it was mentioned before, you two had even slept over at his house or yours many times before

but it had all always been purely platonic, and you guys had never even questioned that aspect of it even after realising you had romantic feelings for each other

he’d spend the rest of the day thinking of what you could do the next day, as if he hadn’t been brainstorming for ideas all night either

i feel like he hasn’t gone in many (if not any--) dates before

solely because he has never been interested in romance plus he had never liked someone or at least, not as much as he liked you

and even when he found out he felt something for you, he just always told himself he was okay with how things were, because he’d never experienced anything beyond friendship and didn’t feel the need to try and maybe ruin the friendship

SO he didn’t have many ideas of what a good date could be

he definitely didn’t want a cliché corny date, but he really didn’t have any idea of what was good enough for a date

(and if for future dates you want something he’d consider a “”cliché corny date”” he’d do it for you and actually enjoy it)

the last thing he wanted was to have to ask you what you could do for your date

1- because he didn’t want to show you any side of him that didn’t look like he always has everything under control and he’s always composed (as if you wouldn’t want to see every side of him, even his most vulnerable sides- you’d have to work on that with him when you two become official)

2- he… kind of wanted to surprise you…..

but it really got to the point where he really didn’t know what you’d like the most (or what he’d like the most too) and what he wanted most over anything else is to not disappoint you in you two’s first date

SO he finally texted you asking if there was anything special you wanted to do (and therefore indirectly admitting he……….. just really wanted to ask you out. so much he did it without thinking of what he’d do if you said yes--)

you didn’t seem to mind, and in fact you were happy he asked for your opinion

overall, scaramouche was very independent so he wasn’t one to ask others for advice, opinions or anything, much less for help regarding anything

“how long has it been since we last went to the arcade? we could go there! i heard from childe that they added new games!”

and he’s like !?!?!?? THAT…. is…….. the perfect idea

“that actually sounds perfect” he admitted, and the message brought a big smile to your face

“just don’t get mad at me when you lose at all of them” he sent right after, teasing you, and you couldn’t help but let out a laugh out loud

“the last time i won in your favorite game” you reminded him, and even after he read your message, he took a little bit to reply

(he needed a second to put the pieces of his pride together SJNFKJDS)

“don’t get used to it, it won’t happen again”

“we will see about that” the more you two joked like this, the more excited you got thinking about tomorrow

scaramouche was sure now that it’d be a great first date that you’d both remember forever

the next day, it was almost the time for the date and scaramouche was going to pick you up at your house

i feel like scaramouche would be very fashionable and even in his style he doesn’t try to hide that he’s loaded…

not that he cares about buying cheap clothes, literally he’d say if he likes it and it’s good (aka it’s not cheap because it’s made of something that won’t make it last longer than 3 weeks) he’ll get it

but it just so happens that many times… the clothes he likes most are from famous brands…

AND THIS DAY!!!!!! he’s putting together one of his favorite outfits because it’s a special day

it almost hurts me just how nonchalant he’d look on the outside, making it a little hard to know exactly just how much this date meant to him (because as i said he’s not one to be very vocal about his feelings or even his thoughts)

BUT i trust that you… since you know him well…. can see past all that and you know that this is not just anything casual to him. this is special.

STILL!!!! he’d try his best to not let the blush rise to his cheeks and show, as well as to not let his voice shake when he complimented that you looked very good

ANYWAYS i think i think Scaramouche wouldn’t be one for big pda

the most he’d do where anyone can see is hold your hand or put his arm around your waist

WHICH IS WHY he’d try to be all smooth (and he would manage) reaching for your hand and lacing his fingers with yours

he wouldn’t make eye contact because then he’s sure it’ll show on his face that he’s getting somewhat flustered, but he’d still ask if you’re okay with it, to which you said yes

the area where the arcade was is always somewhat crowded so when you two were getting there, scaramouche would tighten the grip on your hand a little bit to make sure you wouldn’t let go and you’d be pulled apart by people trying to walk past however they can

you know that if you two got serious about your relationship, he would want to be the first person to share the news with his fans

BUT since he was so popular now, you two lived in a pretty big city and now were at a popular area (+ scaramouche wouldn’t be the type to try and hide his identity because he’s never had people make a fuss when they recognise him)

you were a little worried someone would see you two and maybe take a picture and post it online and it’d go viral before he can admit it himself

because of that, you end up throwing back to him the question he had asked when he held your hand

“are you sure this is okay?”

your question confused him because he didn’t know what you mean, so he finally looked you in the eyes and waited for you to explain further

“it’s just- what if somebody sees us and recognises you?”

he looked away from you and back at where he was going, taking a few seconds to answer before he just shrugged

“i don’t care”

you softly let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding as you waited for him to say something, and almost missed the way he whispered

“as long as it doesn’t affect you”

for someone who seemed and actually tried to seem to self-sufficient, who appreciated his friends but was also okay on his own because he was absolutely comfortable with himself, he was actually…

more selfless than people would ever know, especially when it came to you

you two would have SO much fun in the arcade, trying every single game many times

this time though, scaramouche won in his favorite game so he lived up to his words

you two won so many tickets you literally didn’t even know what to do with them once you got the couple prizes you were interested in

you bumped into a couple fans of his, so you talked for a while

once again, you were met with suggestions of opening your own streaming channel, and even scaramouche said “i’ve told them that many times too, but they always say they think their streams won’t be fun enough”

and the fans are like “NO!! literally everyone thinks you’re super nice and fun!! of course you don’t have to if you don’t want to, but we’d love it!!”

one of the fans (exaggerating a little as a joke) said “i’ll be your number 1 fan i swear” and the three of you laughed, except scaramouche who just scoffed and smirked

“i am ALREADY their number one fan. but good try” <- scaramouche in his head. say it outloud u coward.

but at the same time it was a joke scaramouche chill pretty much everyone knows you’re their number one fan……. even though you think you’re so smooth………. they just don’t say anything

they were very nice and fun to talk to and you knew scaramouche and you didn’t really want anything else from the prizes, so you offered you two’s tickets to them

“we don’t really need these anymore so maybe you’ll have more use for them!!”

they got SO excited, the way their eyes lit up :( scaramouche is convinced you’re an angel but he’s also very happy to see how joyful his fans got because those were more than enough for the prize they really wanted-

so after that cute little interaction and having used up your energy for competition, you two leave and think of buying some ice cream or a milkshake or something to end the date nicely and to enjoy while you walk back home

the arcade was not exactly very close to where you two lived (it was far from your house, but even farther from his-) so he asked if you were okay with walking back or if you two should get an uber or something, to which you said you were okay

walking back with him meant!! a little more time you could spend with him

and he was happy you said that because he was feeling the same way and still didn’t want the day to end

we’ll see more about the kind of things he likes and dislikes if he’s released as a playing character BUT FOR NOW i really get this vibe that he’d LOVE boba tea

i even think he’d?? enjoy tea in general??? classy boy…

SO you two would end up going to get some boba

it was very touching how, when reading the flavors they had that day, he suddenly and casually went “oh, they have your favorite” and you looked at the one he was pointing at and !!! indeed it was your favorite!!!!!!!

he remembers this kind of details very well

you take the chance to talk some more as you’re walking home

scaramouche asks about your job with voice acting and you tell him that you actually have been recording some new lines for your genshin character lately because in the next update there’ll be an event involving them

he’s looking forward to it but he teases you a little asking if it’s okay for you to spoil him with such information

but it’s okay because it’s not like he’d tell anyone, especially knowing it could get you in trouble

when he drops you off at your house, he has a hard time saying goodbye

literally you’re standing at your door and he’s in front of you, a couple steps away, looking away from you

you don’t say goodbye either, mainly because you know scaramouche is working the courage to say something, and you can also sort of guess what he wants to say

you think of saying it first, but then think that it would make scaramouche proud to be honest about his feelings and confess first

“i’ve liked you for a long time”

you can’t help the smile that makes its way onto your face, unconsciously reaching a hand up to slightly cover it

“i feel the same way” you replied to him in a soft voice

he took a deep breath and exhaled it softly, finally lifting up his gaze and making eye contact with you

it was already dark outside, so you couldn’t appreciate the faint rosy blush on his cheeks well

“can i kiss you?”

your eyes widened for a second, not expecting him to ask and if anything, thinking he’d just step forward and do it

so you were a little embarrassed and caught off-guard to reply properly, so you just nodded and put your hand down as he took the last couple steps and his face was right in front of yours

he’d cup your cheek in one of his hands, feeling the warmth of your skin

you closed your eyes, and he looked at you for a second longer before he finally leaned in and closed the short distance that separated your lips

at that moment you both knew that you had been missing on so much more when you two just settled and were content with your friendship

but!! that was about to change now, so it was all worth it

after that, scaramouche would make clear that this would be the first day of your relationship!! and even if he didn’t say it with words, you could just feel his happiness!!

so!! after that, because of work you two got a little busy the next couple months so dates weren’t very frequent

or at least, they weren’t dates like the one you first had

but still whenever you two were free he’d go over to your house, or you’d come over to his to play, stream together, or literally just spend time together doing anything

he wouldn’t let people know you two had started dating straight away (if anything, only his other streamer friends -aka you two’s friends in common- knew)

but the day he said it, he wanted you to be there

SO one day you two were streaming and you were currently reacting to one fanart of you two together

so he looked at you and you made eye contact and it was like you two spoke with your eyes like

“do we tell them now”

“let’s tell them.”

so scaramouche would clear his throat and without closing the fanart, he’d say he has something he wanted to announce

everyone was excited thinking it’d be some new project, maybe involving you

maybe some merch??? and the fanarts had reminded him of it???????

BUT THEN he straightforwardly said

“y/n and i are dating”

and everyone goes aBSOLUTELY CRAZY

amidst the chaos, you two catch a comment saying “will you unban the people who shipped you two” and you laugh

and you look at each other like “did you read that one?” “yeah”

and scaramouche is like “yeah, i guess i will have to unban some people”

and when some get unbanned they’re like “fREEDOM!!!!”

and jokingly they’re all like “APOLOGISE!!!!!!!! SAY SORRY!!!” so he just laughs and you join them being like “!!! apologise!!! you banned them for it and!! look at you now!!”

so he ends up trying to hold in another laugh as he mutters a halfassed ‘sorry’ and everyone starts commenting claps and hearts and celebrating that he apologised. now justice has been made.

the rest of that stream suddenly feels livelier and brighter!! you two are laughing a lot and so is everyone in the chat!!

and also the new genshin event would’ve already just been released that same day so you can talk about some of your experiences with recording or what you thought of it

and scaramouche would let you play it yourself!! (he still hadn’t played it) and it was also the first time you played genshin live!! you’d show people the characters you have and everything and tell them some anecdotes

people would be SHOCKED because you!? don’t have the character you voiced!? D:

and you’re like “yeah… i pulled for them and used up all my primogems and… didn’t get them”

and your banner is back because of the event, so scaramouche won’t let this slide!!!!!!!!!! YOU WILL GET YOUR CHARACTER.

your luck is terrible compared to his so at one point you’ll literally feel bad for how much he’s spending for you to get it

but he doesn’t mind at all and everyone is having fun so!!

and once you finally get them you’re sO HAPPY and everyone in the chat is celebrating

and you think it’s over but scaramouche is like ???? what are you doing?? open the wish page again. you’re going to get them c6.

and you’re like oh my gOD PLEASE NO DON’T SPEND MORE MONEY ON ME FOR THIS

but he won’t listen and he’ll do it

so!!! he’ll always do his best to be the best boyfriend he can be for you!! so you better give him your heart!!!!

Hi hi!! Just curious, but what are your thoughts on Gorou and Itto? Are you going to pull for either of them? Sorry if you’ve been asked this already, but I didn’t see it if you were!!

ok so i dont really keep up with genshin anymore gameplay-wise since i wasnt really a fan of the inazuma update so i dont like playing events in inazuma bc i hate that i have to complete hours upon hours of puzzles to have the area Not Kill Me.

this being said, i have no primogems. im currently sitting on the next guaranteed 5*, which means i won't be pulling for itto. i love his personality but im not big on his appearance or his model. gorou is someone i can hope to get in a future banner, but i'm not going to risk messing up my 5* pity.

i was considering shenhe but ultimately i think i'm going to stay on track for miss yae miko herself like my original plan was. <3 she's the only genshin girlie that i really swoon over and i think i would go feral if i got her so i'm going to try to get her!

i just have to... accumulate primos... first...

as for actual thoughts, i really like gorou! i want to pet his ears. he gives me loyal househusband energy, but the kind of househusband who doesn't sit around at home and instead devotes himself to helping the community and probably has a hobby that he's really into <3 i could see him running a dog treat stand at a farmer's market. those vibes.

itto is very nice in personality and i initially really liked his design but over time it's kinda just... not been it for me. he's cool, but he's slowly falling into the pool of genshin guys i don't really care for... but he'll probably win me back if his character story is any good! <3

Hey i want to say something in regards with mihoyo and the anniversary fiasco. English isn't my first language so. Sorry about that.

I'm seeing people on social media trying to defend mihoyo. The first type are the ones who say "gachas are gachas, you're the ones to blame for having expectations!" To which I say: just because you got used to something bad, doesn't mean it stopped being bad. Yes. I've played many, many gacha games in the past (Been an avid fan of rhythm games since I was a kid) but I've never defended the system. If people want to critique something bad, don't blame them. Specially if you know they're right but just “too weak to accept it.”

But these people,,, they don't bother me as much as the bootlickers. The people defending mihoyo saying we are at fault for being greedy. What those people are forgetting is that this isn't only about the rewards: this is about handling everything bad and then hiding behind the curtain until people eventually forget about it.

(mild spoilers for Inazuma here) First, there was Ei's quest problem and how they butchered a character for money's sake. Which. Not too much of a problem. Okay. I'm sure a lot of people liked the quest and loved Ei and that's cool. But there was a fuss, and mhy hide behind the curtain.

But then, there she comes. Kokomi. Now, let me be clear as the water that comes down from the mountains: I don't give one single shit about meta. The problems I find in her character are more related to general characterization than to her kit. I don't care. This isn't me defending the "meta slaves" or whatever, but pointing out that even if her baner is the worst seller in the game's history (don't know if worse than Keqing), they still haven't adressed it, and don't plan to "fix" the character any time soon.

And finally, the anniversary rewards. Which didn't start about the rewards at all but in the means mihoyo was using to give those rewards. Which is basically: you work for us and give us your money and time and maybe you'll have a chance to win something. I kindly remind you that content creators in fandoms already give a lot of things for free. They are the BACKBONE of any fandom. Treating your general player base wrong is one thing (a bad one) but also treating bad the creators who give you millions by free promotion with their work is just plain stupid.

And after all that, when people FINALLY start complaining seriously you not only hide behind the curtain but also censored all ways for those people to be able to express their frustrations. That's just evil, if you mind me.

Because we're not talking about an indie low budget company. We're talking about a billionaire company. There is a team of rich dudes behind Paimon's voice who made the conscientious choice of doing this shit because companies keep getting away with it (the contests, the unpaid labor) all the time.

Do you really think bad ratings in android have made them break a sweat???? No! They're fine! I can assure you you don't have to worry about millionaires. Instead, why don't you stop calling genshin's playerbase greedy and support creators who spend time, money and work into giving us content constantly? Stop trying to gaslight people into thinking that we asked too much from the beginning, because what we asked for it's nothing in comparison of what we give.

(by the way, this isn't an excuse for people to be disgustingly racist at mhy and its devs. Nothing is an excuse to be fucking racist. Stop behaving like assholes and focus on the real problem.)

Zapped to Another World [Chapter 3]

Chapter 3 is finally up! T-T I am really sorry for the delays and future delays since I am juggling between school and Genshin.

Despite the roof over your head and the cushy bed beneath you, you could not sleep.

You heaved a sigh as you reached your hand into your chest, detaching your Gnosis. If your knowledge was right, you were basically the 8th Archon. A phantom one, judging by Venti’s reaction.

“Oh good, you have not lost it yet.” A familiar voice echoed. You nearly rolled off the bed in surprise as you turned to face Artem.

“How? But I? Huh? What are you doing here?” You stuttered.

“Oh silly head. Or maybe I am the silly one for not letting you know. A Gnosis is a way that Archons can communicate with the Celestia. In other words, me!” Artem threw you a mischievous smile. He seemed a lot more easy-going. Was it because I agreed to this life? Or is it because his sister isn’t here?

You suspected both as Artem kicked back in the air.

“I am aware of that but…Doesn’t this make me…Irrelevant in this world? Weren’t there supposed to be just 7 Archons?” You knitted your brows as he casually floated around the giant room.

“Well, originally, yes. But things change!”

“So, what exactly am I an Archon of?” You looked back onto your Gnosis. As you had agreed to the “contract” when you fell, the Gnosis had transformed into what looked like a chess piece, with a sphere adorning the top of it.

“This world! Isn’t that exciting?”

Figures. The shape atop your Gnosis was shaped like a planet after all.

“…Honestly, not with the Fatui out to get people like me.” You sighed.

“Oh, if they try anything funny with the Order I have made, rest assured, us gods will deal with it.” Artem’s easy-going aura turned bloodthirsty.

You held your tongue instinctively as Artem laughed humourlessly.

“I am well aware of the Tsaritsa straying from her path and interfering. But I have faith in that Outworlder.” Artem hummed as he messed around in your room. He somehow managed to find lipstick paper in the drawers and had put it on.

“And me. Surely there is more to my existence in this world. Am I right in saying that?” You grasped your Gnosis tightly in your hand.

“Well yes, you are the failsafe I have created. It was pure chance that I lost that game and my temper ehe~” He blew you a kiss with his extremely pigmented lips.

You were tempted to shout. A pure chance that I got killed by that lightning volt, you mean!

“Aren’t you glad that it worked out?,” Artem closed the gap between the two of you, his eyes staring into yours. There was a dangerous glint in his eyes, as if he could hear your thoughts.

“I am glad for this second chance in life. But it is honestly concerning for someone like me…” You gulped back your fear of the god.

“Understandable. By the way, try to keep your existence as an Archon as downlow as possible. While the Archons may be aware of another one, they will not be able to pinpoint who it is exactly until they meet you. If they got rid of the failsafe, I will be forced to get someone to step in.”

“…Do you mean the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles?” Artem blinked in surprise.

“Wow, I’m surprised a human from Earth knows about her. Yes, yes you are right. Clever girl.”

You felt the cold claws of dread grip your heart.

“Communication is a 2-way street. If they can observe and interact with the Celestia, they can interfere with it. That means, if they tried hard enough, they can very well overthrow the gods of the Celestia.” Artem turned serious.

“That is why you exist now. The original plan was to summon a hero from Elysium as a failsafe but seeing as to how things turn out, well, here we are.”

“You talk as if it is my fault that we are here now…” You frowned, “You raged during a game of Uno. Uno, of all games! And caused a whole lightning to zap me into the afterlife. Not to mention, the guilt trip that you pulled just to bring me here.”

Artem rolled his eyes, as if you were snapping over a trivial issue.

“Now you just sound like Solaria. Blegh.” Artem faked a retch before returning to his serious expression.

“Sorry if I made it sound bad that you are here. I mean no ill-intentions. You didn’t deserve to die because of my temper.” Artem patted your head, exhaling heavily through his nose.

You heard footsteps come by your door. Artem gave you a wink as he disappeared into a burst of golden sparks. You hurriedly stored your gnosis to your chest again.

“Miss (L/N), I apologize for the disturbance. Master Diluc has instructed me to provide you with clothing.” A maid came by, a set of clothes and shoes in her hands.

“How kind. Leave them by the dresser. And send him my…thanks.” You watched as the maid bowed her head, putting them down on the oak dresser before scurrying out of your room.

Rising and feeling the silken fabric of a simple red frock, black shirt and a matching cape, you exhaled through your nose. You knew that you were caught up in something complicated and the feeling of helplessness came back to you.

Artem’s voice then echoed in your ears.

‘Find the Outworlder and see to it that he saves this world. If not, well…’ A vision of Mondstadt in flames with the familiar black-red cubes flashed in your eyes.

‘Let’s just say, the option of going into Elysium will be open.’

You did not know when you had drifted off to sleep, but you were glad for those few hours of rest. You slipped out of your day-old school uniform and donned the fresh clothes Diluc had given. They felt light and soft, perfect for traveling under the sun. Given how the sun was blazing through the morning dew, you decided against the cape and slipped it into your bag as well.

Preparing your things, you were not a fan of how the bag of mora you had received from Solaria was getting lighter. Maybe I should become an Adventurer as well…

Walking down the wooden stairs of the Winery, you were surprised to see a huge spread of food on the table, with Diluc leisurely eating his way through a pile of steaks, potatoes and cheese.

“Have some, the people of Mondstadt call this Pile Em Up.” Diluc pushed over a steaming plate. You swore you saw it sparkle in the candlelight.

You tentatively sliced a piece. Meat and cheese at this time of the day seemed a little rich, but as the warm ribs melted in your mouth, you could not hold back a satisfied sigh.

“Your maids are excellent cooks.”

“…I cooked it.”

“…Really?”

“Do you not believe that I can cook?”

Diluc gave you a bemused smile. You looked back down onto your steak. You mentally yelled at yourself to quit blushing.

“I-well, you don’t seem the type to cook so…I just thought…”You stumbled over your words. You could feel his eyes on you. You noticed a small, genuine smile forming on his lips. You have landed on one of the topics he admits pride in.

“Well, I do work as a bartender in the tavern at times, naturally I will need to be able to cook.”

A soft warmth formed in your chest as you smiled back. Finishing off the delicious plate of the juicy meat, you blinked in surprise as he offered you a pack of dried sunsettias and apples.

“The journey will be long. Please be safe on your travels.”

Huh. You always had the impression that he was cold and aloof, but Diluc seemed different than what you have seen in the game.

“Uhm, thank you for everything you have done. I will pay it back some day!” You bowed before turning towards the path leading out of Dawn Winery.

“Uh…Uhmm….” You murmured in growing panic. Solaria had forgotten to pack a map! You were incredibly lost. A boy with white hair bolted past as you heard the sound of gibberish following behind him. You had a bad feeling about this.

“…Uh oh.”

You looked back. A group of very angry Hilichurls were running towards you and the boy.

“UH OH!”

You sprinted in the direction of the boy but you soon found yourself face-to-face with a cliff. The boy was nowhere to be seen.

You had to fight.

You turned around, grabbing an arrow that flew past your face. Everything seemed slower than you thought it would be.

Gritting your teeth, you pushed your arms in front of you. Your eyes shut themselves tightly as you willed for the area around you to freeze over. The screams of the Hilichurls stopped as you felt the icy winds against your cheek.

Cautiously, you opened your eyes to see them frozen solid. You walked up, tapping the ice with your knuckles.

It was as if they were made out of ice rather than being flash-frozen.

Whatever had happened, you were certain that you would be safe. Looking around, you noticed a blob of white hair in the bush near you.

“You alright there?” You called out. The boy poked his head out of the bush.

“A…Are they gone -AH!” The boy jumped as he saw the Hilichurls’ angry expressions before realizing that they are frozen solid.

“It should be safe and anyways, what is the use of a sword if you don’t use it to defend yourself?” You sighed, noticing a sword strapped to his side.

“They kind of caught me off-guard…” His expression of guilt made you feel bad as you awkwardly patted his head.

He reminded you of a little brother.

“What’s your name?” You asked as you took in the familiar garb he was wearing.

“I’m Bennett! I had a commission to retrieve treasure from the Hilichurls but…well…”He stole a glance at the Hilichurls, who remained frozen solid in their spots.

“I’m (Y/N) but I got lost…I forgot to pack in a map…” You sighed, scratching the back of your head awkwardly.

“Oh! I can help with that!”

Bennet fished out a crumpled piece of paper. It was a map! You were saved!

But just as you were about to thank Artem for his kindness, an arrow ripped through the middle.

The Hilichurls you froze over must have melted as you heard their angered screaming.

“Oh for f-“

Bennett drew his sword. You were familiar with his skill in the game as you saw him charging energy into his sword. Raising your hand, you willed for your power to protect him as he swung his sword. Flames rose as he struck down the Shield Hilichurl.

“Huh?” Bennett was confused when he realized he was not sent flying.

“Focus, Bennett, focus!” You yelled as you blasted the Hilichurls away from him. As much as you hated how his unluckiness seemed contagious, you did not want him to be hurt.

“Thanks!” Bennett beamed at you as he slashed down the Hilichurls. That seemed to be last of them as you finished off the Shield Hilichurl.

“Wow, thanks for saving me back there. Seriously, I owe you one.” Bennett made his gratitude known, thanking you profusely. You sighed as you sat down on the grass.

Bennett took out the torn map and looked extremely sheepish.

“Don’t suppose you have an extra one?” You sighed again. Bennett shook his head in response.

“Hey, are you two okay? I just saw the bodies of the Hilichurls and I came by to investigate- Oh hey Bennett!” A girl’s voice greeted you both.

“Hey Amber! Yeah, I kinda got into a fight with them but she saved me!” Bennett excitedly introduced you to the Outrider.

“She’s uh…What’s your name again?”

“I’m (Y/N) and I’m trying to get to Liyue but I got lost. Bennett was showing me his map until they ripped it. Don’t suppose you have an extra in your pockets?” You wiped off the sweat as you stood up to greet Amber.

“Oh! I can help with that!” Amber gave you a neatly folded piece of paper.

“Please take care on your travels then. There is a rise in Hilichurl sightings in the area.” Amber saluted.

“Don’t suppose you’d like to join Bennett’s Adventure Team?” Bennett gave you a puppy-eyed dog look.

“Uhm…Well, I really need to make my way to Liyue…Unless you’d want to come with me and abandon everything you have here…”Bennett’s face fell. You instantly felt bad for the poor adventurer. You knew it was a tall order for you to ask him to come along.

“Hey hey…I’ll be back soon. We can do more adventuring once I fulfil my mission, okay?” You smiled at Bennett, who brightened at your promise.

‘If I am still alive, afterwards,’ A dark thought flashed through your head.

Waving good bye to the two, you continued on your path, leaving Mondstadt behind.

Meanwhile

Diluc’s servant gulped as he approached a small cottage in the bamboo forest. Knocking the wooden door, he cleared his throat.

“Diluc sends his regards.” The door immediately opened to reveal a girl with dark brown hair.

“Oho! Finally! He calls! Did he happen to include an engagement ring by any chance?”

“U-Uh no, just this letter-“

“Oh how boring.” The door slammed shut.

“He includes payment with this letter.”

“Why didn’t you say so earlier?” The door swung open again. The girl swiped off the bag of mora the servant had prepared and wax-sealed letter smoothly.

Ripping the letter open, the girl scanned its contents carefully.

Genshin Impact Husbando Tier List Because I Have No Life

My Genshin Impact Husbando Tierlist. I may as well out explanations under the cut because why the hell not. Also this is just my opinion, I’m not trying to shame anyone who like these guys. I would also like to say that I pretty much adore all of these characters to some extent (besides Scaramouche and Razor since I their just...I don’t like them and Albedo since I don’t know a thing about him).

Albedo: I don’t know a thing about him other than he’s some genius alchemist. So I went off of looks here, and he’s just a meh for me. Not a big fan of the hair mostly. He does have an elevator though, so that’s a nice bonus.

Aether: Like Albedo I judged him off of his looks since he doesn’t really have much of a personality, and said personality changes whether you picked him as your traveler or not. He’s a meh, but I think Albedo looks better.

Baizhu/Baishu: Well ok, I don’t know much about this guy other than he’s the boss of Bubu pharmacy and that he potentially overprices his medicine. I’m only AR 31 so I am a long ways away from any story quests that might include him. Anyway, he seems like a decent guy... but also a little weird. Doesn’t help that he’s got a talking snake around his neck.

Bennett: Oh poor Bennett. This boy needs a hug. Unfortunately he only ends up in meh tier. Remember, this is a tier list for a romantic relationship, not people I’d like to be friends with. Although Bennett would rank highly on that tierlist. While I do like his spirit, I find that people that are super optimistic can be a little annoying at times. Don’t get me wrong, its impressive and I admire people who can be optimistic about everything (especially Bennett), but it can be tiring to deal with all the time. That and also his bad luck. But like I said, this boy needs a hug and should stop being bullied by Lady Luck. He deserves better.

Childe/Tartaglia: Do I really need to explain? But I will. First off, Childe is a Fatui Harbinger. That already prevents him from being in the decent tier. Sure, he might not be the worst Fatui Harbinger, but it doesn‘t change the fact that he works with the Fatui, who likely commit unspeakable atrocities on a daily basis. And Childe is a Harbinger in said organization, meaning he orders at least some of it to be done in the name of the Tsaritsa, unpaid debt, etc. And from what I’ve learned, he’s extremely bloodthirsty. That really turns me off, knowing that he‘s always itching for a fight. I haven’t even touched on his personality. He’s charming sure, but he gives me the sense that he’s never really genuine. A faker essentially. Oh did I mention he also wants to take over the world? No. Thanks. The only reason I didn’t immediately put him in ‘What the hell’ is because I have yet to play his story quest and that he is at least a family guy, so it does show he has at least SOME morals to an extent. My opinion probably won’t change, unless his story quest proves to be really good.

Chongyun: He’s cool. But I really don’t know much about his personality, but he just seems aloof. And he has a popsicle animation and...ok I don’t have much to say about him. He’s a really good exorcist that tries to suppress his yang power. Ok. He doesn’t seem like that bad a dude so I wouldn’t put him in No Thanks. He’s the meh-est in the tierliet for me.

Diluc: Oh boy oh boy, this man needs a hug. But like I’ve been doing, I have to say I’m not the hugest fan. Ofc he’s one of the better ones on the tier lis, but he doesn’t do much for me. Admittedly, part of it has to do with the fact that he’s the owner of the Dawn Winery. I don’t really like the idea of being in a relationship with anyone in some sort of position of power in general. Still, I’ll admit that if I were judging in terms of how good a partner they’d be for this list, I’d put him in the pretty good tierlist. But I dunno, there’s just this...thing to Diluc that makes me scared to even get involved with him, yet I wouldn’t mind being in some sort of relationship with him. I guess it boils down to how I see Diluc. He’s a really sad guy, and he really needs a hug and emotional support. I guess it’s the fact that I’m not really willing to do a lot for a relationship (but I dunno. Haven’t been in a romantic relationship yet, and I don’t see that changing any time soon). Anyway, let’s stop being sappy here for now.

Kaeya: I’d say it’s self explanatory, but I have multiple friends who are Kaeya simps, so let’s go on a rant. So, Kaeya. Charming guy on the surface, but a manipulative man with a silver tongue. Like Childe, he always puts on some sort of act, or at least is the kind of guy who you’d describe as ‘they always smile, but it never reaches their eyes...’ and I actually would never want to get involved with a person like that period. At the end of the day, he’s the type of cunning man I would try my best to avoid at all costs. At the very least, he does have morals. Also I don’t like that him getting drunk is somewhat of commonplace. Sorry, but I don’t like drunkards.

Razor: I think it’s pretty self explanatory on why he’s in ‘What the hell’. The reason is plain and simple: he’s a furry. A wolf boy to be exact. Like...no thank you. I wasn’t really a big fan of him when playing through his story quest. I can kind of see why Razor can be a candidate for best boy (that goes to Bennett or Xingqiu imo), but not as a husbando. Sorry to say this, but why the hell am I going to date a wolf boy?

Scaramouche: Also self explanatory. He’s a pompous asshole, and a cruel and powerful one at that. The kind of guy I would never want to even lay eyes upon.

Venti: Ok ok I know people are probably going to be a little triggered but let me explain. So, Venti. Fun guy to be around. Around. I personally like the idea of being a friend with Venti but nothing more. He just doesn’t really click with me. I know he’s in the No Thanks tier, but like I said, he doesn’t click with me in that way. If anything, I don’t want to enter a romantic relationship with Venti. Mostly because he’s a drunkard with no money, and why must be have a tendency to get into trouble all the time?! Venti get into crime BY YOURSELF, DON’T DRAG ME INTO YOU LITTLE PIECE OF-

Anemo Archon with wisdom he may be, but it ain’t change the fact that he can get his n my nerves too easily sometimes :)

Xiao: I just don’t like that he’s an edgy boy really. Also like, Xiao is an adepti at the end of the day. While him being in a relationship makes for some excellent angst, I really wouldn’t want to do that to him if I somehow end up liking him. I don’t like edgy boys much in general in terms of husbandos, but then him being an adepti? That’s the deciding factor. He’s not What The Hell because he’s not really that bad. At the end of the day like many of these characters, he needs a hug and some emotional support.

Xingqiu: Fine. I have some bias with Xingqiu. He was my first 4-star and I use him all the time unless he truly is useless in a boss fight or domain. I actually do like his personality. He has a really refined way of speaking, but he just says some of the most goofy things. More or less, I just like his speech really. He’s all chivalrous too. I would’ve put him in pretty good, but like with many things, I mostly just find him to be really goofy and fun to be around. Although I will admit he’s probably my favorite on the list.

Zhongli: He’s pretty cool and funny. At first, I thought I was going to hate Zhongli even as a character, but he turned out to be really awesome. So why isn’t he in the Pretty Good tier? Well for one, he’s an Archon. Like I said, the thought of being in a relationship with an Archon or Adeptus or anyone in a position of some power doesn’t really appeal to me all too much. Although unlike with Xiao who is an adeptus, Zhongli can turn people into adepti. So at the very least, if he did take up a human lover, he could prevent heartbreak since humans die in a blink of an eye for him. So hey! I can save him some heartbreak :) But, he’s still an Archon...so yeah. I think what really sets him back is his oh so traditional mindset. While I don’t mind doing things traditionally, some traditions are just...they don’t sit well with me. There’s also his lack of MORA. Zhongli, for the love of all that is holy, bring your own wallet and not poor Childe. Over all, I find Zhongli to be pretty decent for me, but there are things that keep him from really clicking with me.

Anyway, thank you for reading this husbando tier list I made and wrote at 12 am with 1 braincell intact and postponed posting this until 4 pm.

i have some snazzy little opinions, so let’s just go down the line:

!!Really long post under cut!!

-Makoto is a basic bitch, always and forever, and we stan that -Taka looks like a Penguin and you cannot change my mind -Byakuya is just trying to look rich- -Mondo’s outfit is so extra i love it- he even added some probably temporary dye to his pompadour that was hard to see due to the lighting in the group pic -LEON! everyone was calling his fit ugly in the group pic and honestly i’m salty because he and i have the same sense of formal fashion. work it king! -Hifumi’s honestly suits him just fine, i was iffy when i saw it in the group pic but it doesn’t look too awful in full -Hiro..... buddy- i- i mean- what do i say??? it’s ugly as shit and really nice at the same time?? -Sayaka’s formal wear is a massive step up from the outfit she wears in her splash art- i never really liked that dress that much- even if it does have a cultural significance the design the picked felt cheap. But this one is really nice, and i dig it way more -Kirigiri looks pretty, it looked waaaay more purple in the group pic, but looking back the whole thing was over saturated for the lighting affects they did, so i shall forgive. she looks oddly nice in blue actually. -AOI LOOKS LIKE A BETA FISH AND I’M LIVING FOR IT! GO QUEEN!! -Toko’s dress looks way better in full than i expected, because so much of it was covered up i kinda didn’t like it all that much in the group pic, but i’m really digging it now -QUEEN SAKURA! BEAUTIFUL!! A DAMN SUNSET OF A DRESS!!! i love seeing her indulge in being a gorgeous queen despite people’s remarks on her physique -Celeste! also beautiful, but girl are you a vampire?? the layers on that dress- and that’s a massive veil- she’s gotta be overheating in that thing. -JUNKO! Fashionista know’s what’s up! it’s alot less gaudy than some of her casual outfits, but in a way that’s actually pretty good. i love the masquerade mask, it’s a nice touch -Chihiro....... Lucky Charms-

-Hajime’s outfit actually looks better in the group pic than here, i think it’s cause the yellow is more vibrant due to the saturation filter, so it stand out more -Nagito’s outfit is great honestly, i love how they put the shirt design on the sleeves, and i love the half-up hair, and the crooked bowtie- it’s great! -Twogami is a king, all he did was invert Byakua’s outfit and he just pulls it off so much better -Gundham’s is honestly underwhelming. This is Gundham Tanaka for fuck sake! Junko’s is more in character than this. where’s the drama sir???? -Kaz... buddy..... the colors look nice on your jumpsuit, but not an actual suit. I love the suspenders though -Teruteru’s outfit actually make him a bit cute. i’m about 80% sure the brown is suppose to be mud as to reference the fact that he’s characterized as a pig in more ways than one, but i’m choosing to call it a cola pattern ‘cause fuck you i’m going to be nice to him for once -Nekomaru’s suit is... it feels like a cursed amalgamation of a noir detective, a car sales men, a mobster, and a casino owner- and i just works so well on him -Fuyuhiko! i love it, fits him well, but the rolled up slacks are odd and kinda distracts me from the rest of the design- showing off some Bi pride there boss baby? -AKANE IS A DAMN QUEEN!! GOD PLEASE SHE COULD STRIKE ME DEAD IN THAT AND I’D THANK HER -Chiaki’s is simple, but it looks really nice on her -SONIA MY QUEEN! the oversaturation in the group pic did her dress dirty! i saw the blue originally and went “that isn’t her color”, but now seeing it without all the lighting crap she looks alot better.... and also a bit Elsa-ish -Hyoko’s in a lovely Kimono, but she’s always wearing pretty Kimonos, so it’s somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest -MAHIRU YOU SUMMER QUEEN! Mahiru has the best sense of fashion in the whole series imo, her wardrobe’s vibes make me so very happy. I grew up in a christian household (i’m not religious anymore btw) and use to be brought to services, and her dress gives me mad Easter Sunday Potluck nostalgia that i just can’t un-notice -Mikan looks too much like a hooker- i’m sorry, they really just went with the fan-service crap here and i don’t like it at all. Even if it wasn’t meant to be fan service, the dress looks tacky and has a shine on it that signifies it’s latex, so that’s just gotta be uncomfortable as hell- and for a clumsy character like her to try and survive a party in??? -IBUKI LOOKS LIKE FANCY RAVE COTTON CANDY!! THAT’S ALL!!! -Peko’s Kimono looks surprisingly nice on her, she wasn’t a character i’d assume to look good in a checker pattern but damn. i also appreciate how she still has the sword, bet- Fuyuhiko tired to convince her to leave it behind but failed

-Rantaro looks like a Used Car Salesmen. -KOKICHI MY BELOVED!!! i already voiced how much i adore his outfit when the group pic came out, so instead might i point out that he’s wearing high-water slacks and tall socks? it’s just as jarring as Fuyuhiko’s bi-slacks, but this is Kokichi so i feel like he did it on purpose. -Kiibo??? he dead ass changed his plating i-???? idk what i’m feeling towards it, but boy howdy am i feeling -GONTA!!! i love his suit, it’s out there in a good way, and i also love how he’s holding what looks like his casual coat. -Shuichi looks lovely in that suit, and i’ll never forgive everyone ever for saying he looked like a grandpa in it. It make him look a bit more Sherlock-esque and i love -3- -KORK IN A DRESS EVERYBODY MOVE!! i love how Androgynous his outfit is, both in gender and in time. like- is it feminine? masculine? modern? 1800′s england? who the fuck knows! -Ryoma looks good, but the fedora- who tf on the design staff decided to get cheeky?? eh- he’s vibing, doesn’t look too bad so long as you don’t hyperfixate on the pointy groin-stabber fedora -KAITO YOU SNAZZY GALAXY PATTERN SNORTING BASTARD! i swear he’s allergic to putting his right arm in it’s sleeve-. anywho, i love how even his dress jacket has a galaxy lining in it, i think it would have been funny if he was wearing galaxy dress shoes too but Maki would have chopped his dick off for that one -Kaede looks like her dress was inspired by one of those cinnamon peppermints- ya know the ones, they have the pink center and all that jazz? -Miu looks like she’s ready to hit up a casino in LA and honestly that’s such a good vibe! her skirt is a bit funky so it took me a hot sec to realize it was indeed a pencil skirt and not a fancy jumpsuit. -Tusmugi’s looks nice, i don’t have much else to say- kinda fitting considering her Plain Jane shtick -TENKO LOOKS LIKE SHE’S THIS CLOSE TO BREAKING OUT INTO A TAP DANCE AND I’M SO FUCKING HERE FOR IT!!! GO QUEEN!!!! -Kirumi is- well- i don’t go to Genshin Impact, but she looks like that one Genshin character, you know the one right? i think their name was a Starbucks drink size- they have a harp?? yeah -Maki’s dress is really pretty, it is a bit odd for her to wear that considering her character, but i can’t say she doesn’t rock it like the queen she is. -Himiko would be nicer without the transparent extra part- it make her looks like one of those half sphere popper things my friends terrorized me with in middle school. Other than that, you go you cute little magical girl you! -ANGIE OH MY FUCK!!! i love- i- dfj;adgad;jdgd!#2342nh;werkw??? i have no clue at this point what culture she’s suppose to be from, but that definitely looks like some traditional garb she’s got going on and holy crap is is pretty

Over all, i think the staff did a great job with this, i love a good lot of the outfits alot more than i though i would from the group pic. I do wish they would have added at least Komaru and Mukuro though- gimmy my queens yo!
