if the fates conspire
that only one of us may live,
then lover,
it must be you.
i will save you the grand speeches
about how you are good and deserving.
you are. you are. you are,
but in the end, that is not the reason why.
the world may call me brave
or strong
or selfless
but lover, you know the truth
don't you?
in the end, i am only more afraid
of facing a world without you
than i am of facing death
of facing anything.
in the end, i am only too weak
to be the one left behind
to pick up the pieces of a broken life
a broken promise
a broken heart
and keep on bleeding
when the blood in your heart
is already dry.
i'm sorry. i'm sorry.
but will you let me be selfish
one last time?
can i ask you to live
for me?
to face what i feared most
so that i might find peace
in my eternal sleep
with a smile upon my face?
if it is cruel of me to ask,
then i beg you to forgive me.
or curse my name
and hate me if you must,
only live.
only live, my lover
so that my life and my death
and all that came in between
may mean something.
may mean everything.
I’m soooo obsessed with Rumi. A ‘steal from the rich give to the poor’ idealist with delusions of grandeur and a god complex, extremely prideful and extremely possessive, with enough wrath to make them interesting. Someone who is so inherently selfish with selfless goals and ambitions, who tries to spread hope and positivity in a bleak world and puts himself on a pedestal for it. The first one to advocate for peace, admonishing needless violence, but also finds a thrill in commanding people, and will gleefully indulge in violence to the extreme for who he cares about. He thinks that in spreading hope, more people will believe in him, thus making him a god, and he wants to kill the true gods of this world to give the people the power for themselves and right what he sees as an imbalance - but he’s an egoist and a bit of a Freak about it.
james potter was not always the man that people would want to tell fond stories of. there were years where he was a boy. He was not yet an auror, a hero, a legend, just a boy. He was spoiled and would look down on others who he did not understand. He was cruel in the name of humor, and his pranks could be considered bullying and hateful. He was obnoxious and half of his classmates bordered on punching him in the face if he didn't shut up soon. He didn't understand why Lily did not fancy him, let me be clear he did not harass her, but he would try to make himself seem cooler and end up more of an ass. He would try and gain her affection in the wrong ways. He was loud and mean and stupid and a dumb boy.
but he grew. he may not have lived a long enough life to be a true adult but he grew. He realized that what he was doing was not funny but mean and he would apologize. He would be more respectful in class and understand he and his friends were not the only people who matter in the room. James would listen and learn from those who were not the same as him. the stories of the asshole from school grew into of james who would tell stories to the first years. to james whose pranks were funny and no longer cruel, well a little cruel when the war found itself in hogwarts halls and potter was fighting the only way any of them knew how. to james was passionate and wanted others to succeed. to james the go to if you needed help with transfiguration. to james no longer the bully but the one who would stand up for others. To james who would make mistakes and would apologise, or he wouldn't because he was human. He was not perfect but he was funny and kind and he would be missed.
thinking about Peter Parker falling in love with Wade and also falling in love with Johnny. maybe not falling in love with Nathan Summers but loving how much he and Wade love each other. Peter also falling in love with MJ and Felicia and Betty Brant and every person he has ever met and talked to. thinking bout the good time line where they're all in a polycule
that boy can fit so much love in him!!
funny, though - i don't think 9319 peter was in love with betty, exactly. not in the same way he was in love with gwen and johnny and wade and MJ and – i think what peter and betty had was a little bit different. i think they were kind of platonic. i mean - peter says it himself, he didn't know "love" until gwen.
i do think what peter and betty had was more akin to peter kind of wanting to prove he was a man. he got bit by a spider, and suddenly he felt like he was cool and could talk to girls. an older girl.
i think him dating betty was more of a wanting to prove himself and look cool instead of a genuine romantic interest - and while they were dating, peter was kind of so wrapped up in himself and his own insecurities to really get to know betty.
i think betty definitely liked peter, though. enough to remember all about his three freckles.

(see, betty pays attention. peter doesn't.)
i think now they're good friends, and know each other a lot better - and peter knows betty well enough to love her back, finally.
i kind of really adore peter and betty's dynamic. peter's still so embarrassed over how he was with her - how betty knows him from the most embarrassing era of his life - but they're still these kind of awkward friends who interact practically every day in a professional work environment but still have this playful flirtatiousness between them, because they have that awkward bit of history together. i love them. i love them. they're such an underrated pair.
I used to co-run freddyfactsblog, a decently big facts blog about the Five Nights At Freddy's games that has been inactive since February. It wasn't huge or anything, and its posts were very occasional. Yet, to this day, if I log into that account, there's still several daily asks with the randomest things.
Stuff ranging from vaguely related questions like "X game by Scott Cawthon (*creator of Freddy's in case you don't know) is bad, do you agree?", to blatant advertising like "Sorta Stupid just posted a new video, go watch it!", to incomprehensible baby gibberish like "If you don't swim every now and then, your muscles get numb to water and shower works less" or bullsh*t akin to that.
TL;DR: don't worry about it. There's a lot of weird people online.
Yeah, 'some people are indecipherable' is the only conclusion I can reach with some of the asks I get
Speaking of strange asks, I just got a spam ask about using a link to confirm your faith in God because otherwise you'd be left to rot in purgatory so watch out for that I guess
