Summary: Ila,Ace and Chloe discover's that Dori's Characters are in their universe,but not only those 3 will know..but the other's will know too..soon enough

ENJOY THE STORY

Everyone stood silently there in the middle of the room,Dori and Ila went to the couch to sit down. Dori gesturing his Character's to si down too,Dori wad sitting right beside all of his Character's while Ila,Chloe and Ace were in front of them all. Chloe's eyes we're focused on Niragi and Suguru, she tried to hold back a smile that was forming on her face.

She was smiling all because of her favorite character existing in her universe,every fan would react just like her..except for Ace,her curiosity got the best of her as she examined all of Dori's character's is curiosity. Ila being herself didn't say a word,she is right now too focused on thinking on how Dori's Character's get into their universe.

"Okay now,how can I explain this to the three of you?" Dori said,clapping his hands while getting up from his seat "Oh!,I know how..so..ano...yesterday I came home from work and well..got inside my house to see these dudes here" Dori said,gesturing to the 6 of his character's.

"Just like that?,you didn't questioned them on how they all got here?" Ila asked,arching a brow"Well I did,and they were all the same. They said they fell asleep and just ended up in my house" Dori said,going back to the kitchen to grab the popcorn he made"So you guys just fell asleep?" Ace asked. All of them nodded eagerly at her "THAT IS SO COOL!" "I've Always want to meet you!" Chloe said excitedly pointing at Suguru and Niragi "well I would like it if you shut your trap!" "EEEEEEEEK!" She screeched almost passing out on the couch"gurl!,you Better calm down" Ila told her,while patting her shoulder"Oh come on Ila!,I know you're a Niragi Simp too!,you have to screech inside right?" Chloe said with a wide smile of excitement "well..i mean you're not wrong...BUT THATS NOT THE PROBLEM HERE" Ila said shutting everyone up"the problem is,is that why did they suddenly got to our universe?" She asked"true" Ace said crossing her arms against her chest.

"Maybe we should introduce ourselves?,or do you guy's already know who we are??" Ryuichi said,while petting Fanta that is on his lap.

[AFTER EXPLAINING]

After the whole chaotic explaining to the three girls,they all decided to hang out with each other..for example!,Niragi trying to avoid Chloe AKA his number one fangirl by running around the living room for some reason.

Ryuichi,Suguru,Mugi and Ace are in the backyard playing with Fanta,teaching Fanta Some tricks that the four know that dogs do. They even tried to train Fanta on trying steal Niragis rifle so that the four of them could bury it somewhere in the backyard as a prank...even though they are going to get killed after they got caught.

Fukami trying to flirt with Ila on the couch,as she watches the man's hand getting closer to her cheek,she panicked so she grabbed the nearest object that she could grab,and that object is Fanta as she held Fanta in front of Fukami's face as Fanta looked at him cutely and proceeded to lick Fukami on the face multiple times,which made Fukami scrunch up his nose in annoyance as Ila just wheezes in the background at Fukami's change of emotions.

Dori smiles at the whole scene as he was in the kitchen making sandwiches for everyone.Fukami came in the kitchen, turning on the tap and rubbing his face with water all because of Fanta's slobber on his face. Dori just chuckled as Fukami looked at him squinting his eyes a bit annoyed "And what are you laughing about?" Fukami asked him "Nothing,nothing!..it's just that try not to flirt with her,she's Islam and in Islam you shall not date but instantly get married with the one that you love the most" Dori said with a soft smile "Wait..so that means will she accept if i propose to her-" "No!,no she will not Fukami. She already showed on how she doesn't like you and that she is completely uncomfortable on watching your drama" Dori said,putting the sandwiches on a metal tray while grabbing one to only shove it inside Fukami's mouth to shut him up "Have fun eating Fukami kun!" Dori said grabbing the tray and walking out of the kitchen.

"Hey guys!,I made sandwiches!. Come and get em!" Dori sat the tray down onto the coffee table of the living room,grabbing one sandwich for himself. Ila grabbing one,when she was about to bite it she noticed a piece of meat in there "Is this halal meat or did you buy it from the supermarket?" She asked Dori "Don't worry,I bought the meat from the halal mini market that you always go to,so you can eat it" Dori replies,she shrugs and bit on the sandwich.

When Niragi was going to bite on his sandwich, Fanta quickly took it out of his hand and ran away to his dog bowl to eat it "Oi!,I already gave you food!" Niragi said as he chases Fanta around the living room. Everyone laughed at the scene as they all sit on the living room couches and decided to watch a movie together.

[TIME SKIP]

The three girls said their good bye after the movie ended, Dori closing the door as they left.

The next day,Dori already signed Suguru,Mugi and Ryuichi into their schools. Suguru explains to Dori that,that he forgot the he was a highschooler,Dori didn't believed him at first until he told Dori tye things that he learned from his school. Right now Dori is in his car with the three of them plus Taketo in there too,when the three of them first saw the principal of the school,they though that the principal will question on why Dori's so called Son's look exactly the same like on of his characters from his drama's..but surprisingly,the principal didn't asked at all. So all its left to do is to drop off the three of them at their school "Okay,we're here. You three behave..Especially YOU yous mister" Dori said,looking at Mugi from through the mirror "psh! What about me?" "Do not be H#rny to girls,just do whatever a normal high schooler would do,you got that?..or do you want to be suspended,because this is the only school that is a bit far away from the house" Dori explains "Okay okay!,I'll try my be-" "There is no trying Mugi,I want you to just be normal..ONCE!,I'm going to kick you out of the house if you ever touch any girls in this school" "Fine!" Mugi said crossing his arms. Taketo smiling at him "C'mon Mugi kun,you can do it!. And make sure you get straight A's!" Taketo said Patting Mugi's back,him still holding his broken electric guitar "Can we get out now?" Suguru asked,looking at Dori from the passenger seat "Yes you may,just keep an eye on Mugi here" Dori said,looking Mugi then to Ryuichi "We will!" Ryuichi chimes as the three of them got out of the car,leaving only Dori and Taketo in there.

"So,where are we going?" Taketo asked Dori "We're going to my work place where I'm going to shoot as Niragi and Suguru" Dori explains as he starts up the car again "And? Why are you bringing me?" "Because,remember that I told you I have a friend of mine that's in a band?,yeah that. He said that he needs one more guitarist in his band" Dori say's again as he drove off from the school. Fukami and Niragi found their usual jobs,Niragi as a game engineer and Fukami works at a Café and a partpart time professor at a college,than unfortunately..Ila was in.

Fukami begged to Dori that he wanted to be a part time professor in that college,Dori was confused until he realized that Ila and her other friends were in that college. He knew that Fukami liked Ila,since the other day Fukami was flirting at her,resulting a slobbery lick from Fanta after that. Back again,Dori parks the car at the parking lot of the studio as he and Taketo got out of the car,walking towards the studio "So who's this friend of yours Dori kun?" Fukami asked as he clutched on his broken guitar more "You'll see" Dori responded "What if people would question on why I look like you,or maybe they watched my movie?" "Well,most of them Watched Even" "Whaaaat!?,that's the title of my movie!?,pff- Lameee~" Taketo whined as they both got in front of the studio's door "Okay..you ready Takehito?" Dori asked looking at him "Yup!,ready as I can be!,can't wait to see my new teacher!" Taketo chirps as they got in the studio.

They got in the studio to be met with stares and whispers,Dori noticed this and so does Taketo,the only one that is nervous between the both of them is Dori,while Taketo just greets at people with his sweet and playful smile. Dori gets annoyed by this and grabs Taketo's wrist,dragging him through the halls of the studio to the main one.

They got in the main studio to be met with then one and only Director Shinsuke Sato "Dori!- what the who's this-" "I can explain later,can you gather everyone so that I can like..explain??" Shinsuke nodded as he called everyone to gather around Dori.

[HOW MANY MINUTES LATER]

After explaining,everyone understood and started chatting with Taketo being friends with him. Dori just sigh's and sit's on a nearby chair as he looks at Taketo from a far "So..why is he carrying a broken guitar?" Dori looks at Nobuaki who asked him,Dori was already in his Niragi costume While Nobuaki is already in his Hatter costume that had fake blood on bus chest..a hole to be specific..a fake one "Well,he's a band leader. He plays the electric Guitar,it's broken because he threw it by accident because he couldn't controll his anger" Dori explains to Nobuaki "I see he has some pride In him..but ok guess he's just frustrated and and went back to his normal giddy happy self" Nobuaki said sitting besides Dori "Hey Nobu do you remember that you told me that you needed another guitarist in your band?..well Taketo here..is the perfect person to be in your band"

Sorry for the shooty ending...i'm tired right now and I'm trying to find some fluffy Niragi fics..i really want a pre broderlnad Niragi fic right now,but I can't seem to find one.

cheese - yes same, i liked it but that was all there was, it wasnt a super standout track. it was rlly underwhelming for me but some of the hook is super catchy so there is Redemption (tm) in store for cheese maybe

thunderous - mmm, yeah at first i totally agreed, i think they suffer from too much good music syndrome, that all their other tracks are such fucking bops its hard to stay at that level of perfection. the choreo was beautiful tho and tbh, the track has grown on me since ive been watching all the vids abt it. its my brothers favourite track

domino - YES GODAMMIT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE TITLE TRACK. the raps, the vocals, the vibes, the fucking domino sound in the back? i would have streamed that shit on repeat. but tbh, as good as it is, it doesnt have that sort of grandness/oomph that skz seems to like in their title tracks so i can see why they chose thunderous (tho domino would have been so good) *sigh*

ssick - yeah same, not my fave track by a long mile, the crowd cheering was a ?strange? choice and the chorus was a bit bare/empty, plus like i mentioned earlier, it was kinda funny to me for some reason but ill still play it if im playing thru the whole album

the view - ahh one of those not like other girls (/j) i honestly think its just a good party song, just a bop to play in the background when nobodys rlly paying much attention. its pretty generic pop music but catchy

sorry, i love you - hehe yeah i thought it was going to be sadder as well, but i rlly loved the fact that they all just got to sing, which almost never happens, i dont think ive heard felix sing for a long time, so i enjoyed it. wasnt rlly a standout track but i just casually like it. looking forward to the fic haha

silent cry - this song i swear, some bits are rlly good and then others are just? why?? it does sound like a dance song tho idk. definitely not one of my faves either

secret secret - YES its so good! its such a chill song and i love their vocals in it. the combination of lo-fi/fake strings backup stuff and their heavenly vocals just makes it *chefs kiss* im listening to it rn and just... its so beautiful. it gives me pumped up another day vibes ya know? like my pace is edgy get cool, this one is energetic another day i feel like. overall i love it

STAR LOST - ah thats so cool! i didnt know that! on first listen this song had a similar vibe to secret secret but then the beat came in and ahh its such a good song. i can totally imagine them putting this song to a concert footage vid, this song is so sweet.

red lights - LMAO YES ITS SO AWKWARD WHY DOES IT GO ON FOR SO LONG ah thats good! yeah good point, its quite intense hehe. but that is my fave trope and this is lowkey my favourite track on the album so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just the combination of hyunjins and chans voices, the backing music, the lyrics ahh red lights my beloved

surfin’ - yes lmao its always a shock, i feel like they should have put gone away in between them, but its such a fun cute song, i cant get rlly mad. yeah, as an aussie i think im contractually obligated to like beaches lol. sand im not such a fan of, but my familys rlly into fishing and my brother loves bodyboarding so we stay at a beach house at least twice a year and we live like 5 mins from 3 different beaches (hehe all aussie cities are on the coast lol) so thats cool. do you like beaches?

gone away - ah gone away my beloved, i love this song sm, its just so pure and showcases their vocals and lyrics so well. yes the pitch change is very out of the blue, i feel liek they went directly from seungmins soft vocals to hans powerful ones which was an interesting choice, but hey, im not complaining

wolfgang - YES IKR ah im so happy he got to be included in that era and song. yeah its such a full on song i cant rlly listen to it if im in a quiet mood but its very motivating :)

oh my god. based on my experience on the collabs i've joined before, writing explicit shit for '01 & '02 is not accepted (nct's maknaes) but with enha's hyung line '01 & '02 somehow it's okay? i do a double take every time i see fics like those i mean, technically, it's legal but still what the fuck. maybe it's just not for me at the moment. not at us venting our frustration about this. it's just something that's so accepted here that i am (in all honesty) slightly uncomfortable about. but oh well. that's kpop writerblr for you.

Surprise! “Count On Me” has an unintended part 2.

Chapter 2 Title: Count On You Rating: G Word Count: 1,668 Description: When the office door closes, Neil can be alone in his own world. That's not always a good thing.

…..

Of all things, Neil missed spaghetti the most. Jarred red sauce, fifty-cent pasta, pre-grated parmesan (if he was feeling especially bougie). Nothing could beat it. He didn’t miss the reflux, but he’d deck his esophageal halls with ulcers if it meant eating a real meal, a heaping bowl of comfort food that would leave him full and sluggish and knock Insomnia flat on its back.

Neil ran his thumb over a medicine-purple protein bar wrapper, smoothing out the perforated ends between the flesh of his thumb and index finger. The yellow POWER BAR logo rippled and glimmered under his office lights like a cheap trick.

Clearly, the graphic designers had no idea that their chosen font and colors made the meal replacement look like a cartoon villain’s mind-controlling sugar bar. This one was supposed to taste vaguely reminiscent of peanut butter, which he’d discovered was easier to stomach than the artificial vanilla flavor that stuck to his tongue for hours after the fact.

He tore the wrapping down the middle. The sickly brown bar revealed itself, shedding its tacky cape.

He took a vengeful bite out of the bar, feeling as triumphant as he possibly could while chewing something that tasted like cardboard soaked in old peanut oil. Just last week, these weren’t so bad. He could stomach them and they had tasted pretty decent.

I was thinking of you the entire time, he’d eventually say to a heaping bowl of angel hair pasta and marinara.

Eventually. One day, soon. When all this was over, Neil could quit skipping meals and popping pain pills like tic tacs and Mentos.

The single bite of bar began to disintegrate in his mouth the same way a bad piece of gum chewed too long turns into a compound of sand and slime. Neil choked the mixture down and lunged for his water bottle. Empty. He turned to the mini fridge and pulled out an ice cold energy drink that had been sitting on standby, untouched, for months.

“Don’t tell Eva,” Neil said, snapping the tab open in the vacant room. The drink went down cold and sweet, washing the gritty paste from his tongue. He’d regret the caffeine in an hour or two, but for now, the familiar bubbles were worth whatever he had coming later.

A lot of things had become worth it recently. He banished the pitiful excuse for a protein bar to the bottom drawer, sitting down in his desk chair, staring at the paperwork that so desperately needed filing. A fib, of course. He’d never filed paperwork on time in his life. Lying to Eva....Neil had yet to discern if that was worth keeping any secret.

What secret? In the end, what could be worth keeping from her? That Neil Watts was mortal? Extraordinary, but mortal. Extraordinarily mortal.

He thought of Eva sitting outside the men’s room while he retched, stretching to keep pace with him in the hall, reminding him about the simple things. There is so much said in reminding someone to take care of themselves in the little ways, to drink water, to take time. Neil wished he were a better listener, that his pride would crumble for a day or two, long enough for him to set good habits and be honest -- with himself, with Eva, with everyone.

Fluorescent humming grated his ears, burned his eyes. He felt new sickness swelling. He shut his eyes to the room’s blue white.

He’d worry a lot less if Eva would just let it drop. She cared too much, that was her problem. She was usually good at hiding it. At work, of course, surrounded all day by dying people and their repressed traumas, you need to find a way to push through it all without completely breaking down, balancing visible empathy with healthy detachment.

Crying in front of the clients doesn’t get the job done, and it certainly doesn’t look good on evaluations.

Their particular line of work called for expert compartmentalization. Eva had mastered concealing a naturally compassionate disposition behind cold professionalism, efficiency, and control. It was never just another day at the office for her, even if she’d sometimes seem unfeeling when the chips were down.

Neil knew her too well. She always wanted to help. She was a problem solver, always trained on an objective, never one to dwell, to stutter-step, to second guess. She never let things lie. Why should a problem go unsolved?

He used to hold that against her, that she couldn’t let things be, that she could get a little control-crazy when things shifted from their right places into wrong places, drifting away from order like moons out of orbit. But she wasn’t the one who had to cheat on her entrance exams. And between the two of them, she seemed to have her life under control.

Neil Watts had looked to Eva Rosalene for a lifetime of answers. He could count on her for anything. She always came in clutch (he’d been watching a lot of Esports streams lately, picking up on the lingo during his late night nausea fits).

It wasn’t a question of whether or not Eva cared about him. It was a question of, if Neil truly believed in Eva Rosalene, why on God’s green earth had he not told her a lick of truth about what was really going on? He dove down for a good answer, or even a scrap of a convoluted selfish reasoning, but resurfaced empty.

In his coat pocket, a little blue bottle pressed against Neil’s thigh. He crossed his arms, but he only grew more aware of the light pressure resting there. It annoyed him, more than anything, like feeling a strand of hair brush along your skin, but just when you think you’ve swiped it away, there it is again, brushing just light enough to frustrate, to aggravate, to piss you off. Neil bounced his knee, trying to shake the coat off his leg, but the bump beneath the white cloth just moused its way back and forth, prodding.

He should do that paperwork. Listen to music or something to pass the time.

His stomach roiled. Neil slipped a hand into his pocket. He closed his fist around the smooth bottle, ran his thumb over the cap, catching his thumbnail along the ridges there. Comforting, he thought. The action really did calm his nerves.

Eva was across the hall. Fifteen steps away. A knock away. A conversation away.

Neil didn’t bother to set a stopwatch so he never knew how long he sat there, his thumb running back and forth over the ridges in the lid while his mind wandered, imagining the many ways that conversation could go, the look on Eva’s face, the disappointment. Daydream Neil started crying, but Real Neil didn’t think that was very dignified, so he started from the beginning, approaching Dr. Eva Rosalene in her office. Figuring she’d probably be busy, he reset to the cafeteria. A nice talk over lunch. When Eva burst into tears and people from the surrounding tables looked their way, Neil chose the park, even though they weren’t in the habit of going to the park together and never had been. But it was quiet, undisturbed. A gorgeous day in this self-revising simulation. He guided Eva to a bench. They sat down. Eva told him to take his time, that she knew something was wrong, that she was glad Neil could finally talk to her. Yes, he was ready. It would be amazing to finally say it out loud. To someone else. To confide. To confess….

He opened his eyes to the harsh light.

Confess? What was that word doing, flitting about in his stream of consciousness?

An email notification pinged on his desktop. He moved to open it with a click. It read:

If you’re up for it, they’re showing Inception and the Cowboy Bebop movie tonight. It’s the weirdest double feature ever so I have to go, it’s the law.

Perfect. He could talk to her then. Simple, easy as that. All that melodramatic daydreaming over nothing. He could talk to her then. Besides: free food.

Neil’s stomach suddenly felt very, very empty. His usual nausea felt like he was too full and ready to burst.

But it suddenly felt as if something small inside were eating away at everything, the lining and the tissue and the bile, hungrily consuming out of a gluttonous jealousy that which consumes. And when there would be nothing left, that small something would eat the air and the Nothing until an impossible vacuum remained. And Neil would also remain, nothing more than a container to conceal a parasitic anomaly, cursed never to be filled again.

His hand closed around the little blue bottle. The pills inside stirred, knocking against the walls of their plastic prison.

The emptiness in his stomach slowly spread into his hips and ribs, knees and neck, his head and the space behind his eyes, until his whole body felt hollow and the hollow spaces felt sore.

This moment was nearly one of those moments that change everything. Very important, nearly pivotal, but not to be realized, lacking the crucial self-awareness that would have sent things this way and that, particularly along different this-es and better thats. The manner in which a single rock falls prevents or triggers a landslide.

Neil drew the bottle from his pocket, poured two little white pills into his palm, tossed them back. They scraped down the dry walls of his throat, as though clawing for a foothold, before eventually settling in the cavern of his stomach, and almost instantaneously, the pain began to dwindle.

Neil didn’t stop to consider the impossibility of this. If he had, it would have made all the difference. But he didn’t, so it did not, and things seemed to remain relatively the same, the distant sound of tumbling rocks drowned by electric humming.

It makes sense that people including wwx would assume that lwj is straight bc thats what people do even in modern times (bc homophobia and heteronormativity) but also how tf does anyone think lwj is anything except gay

“I... Yes, I did, but I don’t know where she is right now and I--” he is interrupted by Drake’s fist. He punches him again and Bertrand falls on the floor. Maxwell runs to help his brother and Liam tries to stop Drake, who’s still yelling at Bertrand.

You stand still, biting your lip as you look at the scene in front of you.

okay im gonna go black out and write some bullshit about my Thoughts on Literary Analysis and Character Writing bc i love writing and i love trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. i am an unfortunate fan of fire emblem, so the real joke is on me, but let’s do this anyway. using a lot of bold as always! it makes me feel special.

Why is Leonie such a divisive character?

as per usual, here is my disclaimer that it’s okay to like Leonie. it’s also okay to dislike her, as long as you’re not being a massive dick about it. lord knows people are rude to me about lorenz and i didn’t ask for their opinions. if you like leonie, i am not out to get you, i’m not going to tell you that you shouldn’t, i’m not even mad at you. Neat! you like a character i don’t! and that’s just fine. i honestly don’t care! go have fun!

so let’s talk. theres a TL;DR at the end so be ready.

i’ll make no bones about it: i’m in the camp that dislikes her. i don’t have the energy to hate her as i do for faye, but leonie is pretty obnoxious as a character and it’s an uphill battle to like her. i’ve played VW like three times since i’m a self professed GD stan so i’ve dealt with her a lot, read most of her supports, and seen her as a character in actual cutscenes and stuff.

the short answer: making a character obsessed with another one and having that be most of their personality is really annoying.

the long answer: let’s start on that now! these are my personal thoughts and analysis, so you’re free to disagree with me if you think i’m falling short.

one statement i will make right away is that i’m not offended by leonie being mean to the player. a lot of people who stan leonie like to argue that people dislike her because she’s one of the few characters who doesn’t kiss byleth’s ass immediately. that’s fine. that doesn’t bother me. after all, seteth and hapi are mean to byleth at first too, and those two are far more beloved… in fact, it’s funny that they’re mean to byleth. i would also argue that my favorite lord claude is not buddy buddy with byleth at first either, but if these popular opinion threads have proven anything to me, people love taking claude’s lying ass at face value. that’s besides the point—it’s okay that leonie isn’t immediately friendly to byleth. that is not an objective character flaw. characters need something to conflict over in the narrative, and not being instantly friendly to a player insert is not a problem in the slightest.

the major flaw in leonie’s character, imo, is that the writers decided it was a brilliant idea to make her obsessed with a man who barely seems to acknowledge her. this is an extremely unfortunate reoccurring character trope in fire emblem. notable other victims that more modern fe fans may recognize are faye and cordelia, faye being the worst offender. luckily, leonie isn’t as bad as faye. but it really is irritating that leonie, along with these other women, seem entirely driven by men who cannot acknowledge them. within three houses, you have similar traits in male characters as well: cyril is another notable offender, and to a lesser extent, dedue’s fixation on dimitri. now, we do see jeralt talking to leonie at the very least, and he does speak about her at least once in my memory, and positively at that. so it’s not as pathetic as the likes of faye.

outside of that, leonie cannot stop fucking reminding everyone she comes across: she loves captain jeralt. she’s his only apprentice. and you, dear player, who is his child, are not good enough, because you don’t love him as much as she does. practically all her convos with byleth are about how they don’t love jeralt enough, save for a slight turn around in the A support where she talks about her promise to protect byleth in jeralt’s place. to be honest, i usually ditch her in any run i’m forced to take her (hello sylvain, the superior idiot redhead cavalier) so this promise is just cute.

the arrogance in this attitude is insensitive at best, and as seen in her B support with byleth, potentially malicious and self centered at worst.

let’s not beat around the bush. the main point of contention for leonie is her B support with byleth, which is locked to jeralt’s death. you cannot get this support until jeralt has kicked it. and if you’re on GD, chances are you have gotten enough support points with leonie to get it immediately upon his death. the man’s grave is still fresh. what does she have the gall to say to her beloved mentor’s child?

“I've spent my whole life working to become a great mercenary like your father. There were so many times when I wanted to ask his advice, but I couldn't. I just had to make do. That's how I've made it this far. Just hard work, all on my own. But then you come along... And it's like you don't appreciate Captain Jeralt at all, or how lucky you were to have him around your whole life! Ugh! It still really bothers me! You might be his kid, but I'm still his best apprentice! Got it?!”

YIKES.

no matter how you dice it, saying that to someone whos father just died? NOT GOOD. it doesn’t matter what her reasoning is. a lot of people argue that this is realistic, that she’s acting out of grief. maybe so. however, if the game wants me to like her, they’re failing, no matter how realistic her reaction is. if this was supposed to be seen as a moment of weakness, that would be one thing, but it’s clear leonie never learns anything from this. she never gets better. she spends the rest of her life constantly centered on jeralt, and sees byleth as a competitor and obstacle to his affections, even after he’s dead.

i don’t want to entirely make this about byleth, because let’s be real, byleth is only one of her many supports. but it is the most easily noticeable, and the least charitable to her character.

also fun fact i did a basic search for jeralt in her supports and thats 37 times hes mentioned lmao this isn’t even accounting for her non support dialogue! which is still a lot!

so a decent chunk of her supports still involve her talking about how great jeralt is as if the man is jesus. her better supports don’t involve him at all. i don’t have easy access to a lot of her dialogue by chapter, but quite a bit of her regular dialogue references jeralt too, be it by name or title, and a good chunk of her endings, especially her solo one, have her just taking up his title and job and drinking habits. it’s supposed to be seen as cute.

this woman is in her 20s at the beginning of the game. she’s my age. this kind of behavior is worrying.

so you’re thinking “tell, you’ve spent a LOT of time talking about how leonie won’t shut the fuck up about jeralt. what about the rest of her character? unlike faye, she actually has one!” right you are! i will concede that. leonie does have things going on for her outside of her constant screeching about jeralt! what are they?

we see that her personality has her as a hard worker and frugal person because she’s grown up in a life that has less than many of her peers. she’s rational and rather keen, capable of assessing her opponents correctly and outsmarting them. she likes to help others. her supports with claude are fairly interesting as they talk about their own perspectives on the world to each other in a friendly manner. she talks to bernadetta and praises her skill in craft and manages to befriend her. in fact, all her supports where she doesn’t mention jeralt at all are pretty good. she can be headstrong and sometimes quick to jump to conclusions, but leonie isn’t one to be too beholden to preset ideas and shows a capability to learn and change.

wait, this sounds like a pretty well rounded and likeable character i’m describing! what happened here? this kind of portrayal is almost contradictory to the side of her that only thinks of jeralt.

a lot of people who like leonie like her for these aspects. at first, i had thought her to be interesting, since she’s the poorest student in the entire school, here on money raised by her entire village, which must have been extremely difficult for them to do. she doesn’t understand how nobles can be so frivolous, and butts heads with the likes of hilda, who has been raised in luxury her whole life and she clashes even harder with lorenz, who is obsessed with nobility. in a way, leonie is the slap from reality that many of the rich students from garreg mach need. and she also serves an important function in the dynamic of the deer—she’s a bit of a hapless straight man to all their bullshit. they always need one of those! in the lions, that role falls to ingrid, while edelgard plays that to her own house.

so yes, there is merit in leonie’s character. there’s a lot to like about her here. however, in my opinion, it’s not enough to make up for the incredibly abrasive aspects of her fixation on jeralt. it really just comes back to that—that someone decided that it would be a fantastic character trait to have her never stop thinking about a man, and flaunt this to the man’s child. constantly. almost all her dialogue directed at byleth is about jeralt. post skip, a lot more of her lines become about jeralt and making him proud. it’s like she thinks that he’s her dad. she’s a grown ass woman! leonie is one of the older students! she is an adult by the time the game starts! an adult with some actual worldly experience, unlike her peers! what went wrong? why is she like this? why did they make her so fucking annoying when it comes to jeralt?

so yes, that’s what i think is the major flaw of her character. a flaw that is not easily overcome. cyril is a largely derided character for similar reasons. another simple control+f tells me that rhea is mentioned in cyril’s supports 59 times so uh, woo! he has leonie beat there.

worst of all this is a flaw that narratively, she does not overcome. she never grows and gets better from it. she never changes her single minded determination to impress jeralt, even long after he’s dead. a good chunk of her endings have her taking up his business and acting just like him, taking his title too. somehow lorenz is the more likeable character, and lorenz starts off as a much worse person than her! he starts as a stinky incel classist and somehow, especially over the course of verdant wind, manages to learn and grow and change into a much better person, while leonie remains stagnant in who she is. her own peers outdo her in almost every aspect, in that they appear to be capable of growing up while leonie, already an adult, never seems to show any signs of maturing over the course of the game. we see ignatz turn from a meek nerd to someone who’s willing to do what it takes to protect what he cares about. marianne grows from suicidal and depressed to finding the will to live because it means she’ll be able to spend more time with things she enjoys and people she loves. lorenz goes from snobbish and distant over his complex about nobility to being one of the kindest members of the deer, willing to go against his father for the greater good. even hilda matures! hilda starts the game lazy and unambitious, trying to avoid work, saying she’d never risk her life for her friends, to fighting against some of the strongest forces in the continent and ESPECIALLY on CF we see her refusing to abandon claude in his time of need, no matter how bad it gets, even if it costs her life. what does leonie do? leonie seems to forever be stuck in the mindset that she has to impress jeralt, no matter how far she goes.

this is incredibly nitpicky, i’ll admit, this isn’t really part of the character analysis, but i find she under performs as a unit too. she may have ungodly speed and no weaknesses in her skills, but damage output wise she’s easily outdone in house by the other canon paladin of lorenz and his wonky statline, and out of house sylvain has basically the same ability as her, the same color hair, and a crest + relic that make him way more effective. the man has bulk, too. so, that’s a small ding to leonie as well. i had the same problem with sully in awakening. for all the talk about how these women are just as good as the men, they appear to under perform quite a bit.

and i’m gonna talk real quick in a basic list format of arguments i’ve seen for people defending leonie, since i’m running out of like, a coherent way to talk about some of this stuff.

-She’s realistic.

maybe so, but the game intends for me to find her as likeable and sympathetic, as it is for all recruitable characters. her reactions to byleth and sometimes others may be realistic, but don’t paint a charitable image of her. again, the moment in her B support with byleth is so bad, it makes her seem like she’s acting towards them with cruel intent. while i don’t care about byleth’s feelings since byleth isn’t a real person, what it does is it paints leonie as malicious, no matter what her intent was or how realistic it is. yes, she’s in grief, she’s lost someone important to her, but in what context is telling someone who just lost their dad that they didn’t love him enough supposed to garner anything but hatred? even if she apologizes for it in their A support, that means she basically took years to do so and still seems to think of byleth as an obstacle to her being like jeralt.

although as i have said before, the rest of her personality is fine. i find her non jeralt stuff is much more well written. she’s a down to earth person amidst a sea of lunatics. that’s not a problem.

-People don’t like her because she’s mean to Byleth.

this is probably true in some regards although i can’t say for certain. because byleth is a player insert and some might take it personally, but otherwise i find this isn’t much of a good universal claim since there’s more to the disdain to that. personally, i think it’s hilarious when video game characters are mean to me, but that’s just My Opinion, so no, i’m really not offended by leonie being mean to me. other characters are also mean to byleth, and that leads into the next point...

-Other characters act similarly towards Byleth and they’re popular.

one, look at those stupid unpopular opinions threads on twitter. they’re not as loved as you think. two, a lot of the characters who are listed for these things are often the likes of seteth and felix, and let’s talk about the context of their actions there. seteth is indeed mean to byleth at first, but his intent is wildly different from leonie’s—he’s suspicious, and rightfully so, of this mercenary who came out of nowhere and rhea is suddenly showing a lot of interest in and is giving a position of power to. seteth is not acting out of malintent or jealousy, he’s acting out of concern for the students and his daughter as well as rhea. because his core intent is “protect everyone around me” it comes off as far more palatable and dare i say, endearing. this is vastly different than “i’m jealous towards byleth because i love their dad and hate that they’re getting attention i can’t.” with a character like felix, this is outright incorrect—felix is not necessarily more rude to byleth more than he would be anyone else. felix is angry with the faerghus four in particular, but everyone else gets the same level of vague disrespect from him otherwise, so his behavior is not centralized to byleth. again, i don’t care about byleth’s feelings. there is also cyril, who is similarly obsessed with rhea, and is just as irritating as leonie for it, if not worse because he gets an extra layer of being a poc character obsessed with a white one who saved him.

tl;dr: context and intent matters. a lot. i know this is a ton to ask of the fe fandom to consider taking things beyond face value, but please consider the context of characters actions and their intent behind them.

-People who don’t like Leonie are misogynistic.

i won’t discount that there are bad actors who are likely extra critical of leonie because she’s a female character. it could be and has been argued that the reasons that characters like edelgard and ingrid are so controversial is because they are female. but not everyone who raises criticisms is strictly doing so in bad faith. most people i’ve seen criticizing leonie do it for the same reasons i am, which is that she’s an abrasive character. these traits would not be any better on a male character and in some regards could be worse. so for this one, it’s better to take it as a case by case situation, and pay attention to how people are talking. those doing so for less savory reasons often let it slip eventually, somehow. i’ve been avoiding using the word “bitch” in this entire thing for this exact reason.

-Her non-Byleth supports are good.

this is highly subjective imo and comes down to what you personally like in a character. i do like some of her non byleth supports, but she still has an unfortunate habit of bringing up jeralt in non byleth supports, so the only ones that are truly good are the ones where she doesn’t talk about him at all. even then, some like her one with marianne can do the same accidental portrayal of her seeming like a pretty unpleasant person. this isn’t saying that leonie can’t be flawed or short tempered, after all i adore felix and he’s got Some Fuckin Issues, but her portrayal as a kind and bright person clashes with how she’s portrayed surrounding byleth and jeralt. far too much. i like her supports with claude, i like her line with bernadetta, and her seteth one is good too, but i’d also argue that as a personality she doesn’t bring much to the table. she’s a perfectly serviceable character when she’s not dealing with byleth, but i personally fail to see more appeal to her. she isn’t particularly enrapturing like some of the others, and unlike someone like ingrid who has a similar role in BL, doesn’t have the shared history and integration with the deer that grants ingrid a unique perspective on her peers. although again, this is highly subjective, so it’s tough to argue about this. i’ll grant that yes, the writing that doesn’t surround jeralt is WAY better and almost makes leonie a redeemable character.

-Other characters are worse.

very true! i’ll cite faye again as the bottom line for “this is how abysmal this character could be” and in feth itself there is, as stated many times before, cyril. however it doesn’t mean that leonie is better by association. and i also often see people citing seteth as an example over the rudeness to the player too, but once again that’s about context and intent. hapi is a lesser example, due to a similar mistrusting nature, and there’s quite a bit of the cast who are cold and rude because that’s just who they are. now, thank fucking god that leonie actually talks about things that aren’t jeralt. like, seriously, i’d die. she still talks about him too much, but i really should go through all of faye’s dialogue to do a proper count.

so now you’re probably thinking—if you even got this far—“gee tell, you sure do like running your fuckin mouth, eh? so what’s the point of all this?” let’s wrap it up.

the TL;DR:

what this all boils down to is that leonie’s got a serious problem in her writing where her entire life revolves around a man, and the way it’s dealt with isn’t particularly great. she doesn’t have a dynamic character arc like some others that redeem them from their problems, and the personality she has outside of her relationship to jeralt and byleth often clashes with the one she has with them, particularly centering on byleth. when dealing with byleth, the image it paints of her is extremely negative, and not one easily shaken—again, the B support moment is just THAT BAD. that is the most cited moment for why people hate her. it just seems like for all the flaws she has, they are not compensated for or grown out of like other characters in the game do for theirs.

theres also that tweet about how we put more thought into these characters than intsys does, so. yeah. definitely doing that right now. thanks, intsys, you did it again.

i will also point to the argument that we should hold the writers accountable, not the fictional characters who aren’t real and don’t have feelings. i don’t think leonie needs to be held accountable for her bullshit. i just wish the writers could have treated her better.

this is personally why i find leonie so difficult, and hopefully if you didn’t understand why people don’t like leonie, this can help enlighten you. i’m willing to hear people out if they have something to say, and as always, if you are a leonie stan, please go enjoy yourself, have fun, and don’t let me ruin your parade. i just enjoy trying to figure things out and talking a lot along the way! so that’s all, here’s hoping that in the future they do better, and remember that GD is the best house okay bye take this picture of me typing up this whole ass thing

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this. Have you ever read a fic that, stylistically, it's beautiful, linguistically it's tight, and it's obvious the author poured their whole self into constructing the plot, crafting the world, and nailing down the characterizations, but... You just don't get it? Like, perhaps there's some insight you're missing, and it's almost there, you think maybe you're close to getting what the author is trying to portray, but you just can't make the connection necessary?

(Embarrassed nonny continued) You even reread to make sure you didn’t skip anything, but it’s like it just seems that something missing? Or that you’re the one missing something vital? So you go to the comments to see if anyone else is confused, but all you see are lovely, supportive compliments about how beautiful the story is (and it is), or how heartwrenching it is (usually so). But you seem to be the only one not getting it?

(Embarrassed nonny cont. again) Is it destructive to let the author know that I think a story is beautiful in it’s telling, but that I don’t quite understand it? I don’t want to offend the author, who has clearly worked very hard, and I appreciate them so much. But, I want to understand the story they’re telling, even if I’m the only one not getting it. Hi Nonny!

First of all, there’s nothing for you to be embarrassed about! Stories are partly about authorial intent, and partly about reader interpretation; no two people will interpret a story the same, and no author SHOULD expect a reader to interpret their story exactly as the author intended. SHERLOCK is a perfect example of this (the writers SAY they meant it to be one thing and literally the ENTIRE FANDOM is divided on what’s actually being shown on screen), or if you want to be more classical, the works of Shakespeare as well.

In fact, Shakespeare is a perfect example of your problem: I love Shakespeare: it’s beautifully written, it sounds lovely to the ear, and it invokes imagery based on how someone interprets it. But I sure as heck have NO idea what I read until someone explained it to me, or how I SHOULD have interpreted it (which, is oxymoronic to my point, I know…). Only after I hear how someone else interpreted the work, I can then RE-READ a work and begin to understand what was meant by it, and then develop my own interpretations.

I’ve read a few fics by a couple authors in this fandom where I LOVED their writing, but I had NO idea what was happening until I re-read the fics… it’s a reading comprehension thing with me, I’m sure (my brain tends to move a bit quicker than I can read and talk, and in turn it also tends to wander when my eyes aren’t going fast enough, LOL), but a lot of times, if I just read a fic a second time I can then grasp the words my brain omitted the first time and then really enjoy and love the fic. I hate that about me, but that’s how my brain works… Perhaps it may be the same with your brain? If a fic is well written and you enjoyed it but just had some comprehension issues, perhaps a second read-through will help you as it has done with me :)

So, now to answer your question: if after reading a fic, and you don’t understand it, is it okay to ask the authorial intent of the story? Unfortunately, there is no yes-or-no answer to this question, Lovely, as every author is different. Personally – and this is just for me speaking, and what I would do or what I would not mind if I were the author – I think it’s alright, so long as you are respectful to them! Dig around their user pages and you can often find ways to interact with the author outside of their fics, or information about whether or not they want to read criticism etc. on their stories. If an author doesn’t want any interaction, they’ll be very clear about it, but most authors have ways to get in touch with them, so to ME that’s a saying “hey, if you have any questions, here’s how to get a hold of me!”.

If they have a Tumblr with asks turned on, you can even do it like you have done for me here; write exactly what you mentioned, just tweak a few things: Mention how much you love their prose and their storytelling, and you can really feel how much love they put into the story. You found it interesting, though you’re unclear on a few parts. Ask them kindly how they intended for an audience to read it. Many creators appreciate honesty when talking about their works, so just be honest and say that you didn’t understand something and wouldn’t mind a bit of clarification about something. They can’t fault you for not understanding something, and if they do, well… I find that rather ableist, in my opinion: That’s like telling someone with dyslexia to just stop mixing up letters, or someone who’s native language isn’t English to just learn one of the most complex languages in the world with so many structure rules that make no sense half the time…. *shrugs* It’s harsh of me to say, I am sorry about that, writers, but reading comprehension doesn’t come easily for everyone.

ANYWAY, back to my point: An author, so long as you are respectful (and maybe peppering in some compliments and praise never hurts either… a lot of us creative-types have praise kinks) and don’t throw a backhanded compliment (like don’t say: “Your work is so amazing! Though I think you should make it easier for people to understand it, your words are too complex”), they will be more than happy to write out their intent for the story. Let them know it’s YOU who’s not understanding (so, “I have trouble understanding this part” as opposed to “you should make this work easier to read for everyone”… make the onus on YOU). DON’T be demanding (like, don’t say something that can be interpreted as “it’s YOUR responsibility to cater to MY need to understand”), and be patient for a reply.

You can see why this isn’t an easy yes-or-no answer, LOL.

Essentially, kindness begets kindness, and respect begets respect. And – this isn’t an attack on you personally with regards to this ask, because I know my audience are adorably shy beans – it might be a show of good faith and intentions to stay off anon when you ask your question; it shows the author that you aren’t being malicious, just simply a smol bean who loves stories and want to learn more about theirs. BUT, it IS okay to stay on-anon if you are shy / worried about not the author but other people interpreting it the wrong way, just make sure you tailor your question to the author in a respectful way that it comes across as respect. Perhaps something like this:

Hi, [author]! I really love your story, [story title]! It’s well-written and I can really tell how much you love this story and how much soul you put into it. I just had a question for you with regards to [name concern here]. [state question here]. I have trouble sometimes with [reading comprehension, English/language, dyslexia, etc.], and I would love to know what your ideas and thought process was for [character, plot point, situation, etc.]. Understanding what the author intended really helps me enjoy the stories even more than I already did, and your thoughts would be really helpful for when I re-read your story! Thank you so much for your time, and thank you for blessing us with this beautiful story!

Or something like that, LOL. And if you genuinely aren’t a native-language speaker, let them know that it’s not your first language so you’re just honestly not grasping a colloquialism that’s common in English but not in, say, German. It’s more common than you think! I’ve had people ask me in private before about a phrase I’ve written or about how they should interpret a meta of mine; I’ve never taken insult upon it, and in fact I love helping people understand my work so that they can enjoy other peoples’ content in the future.

As an additional thought I just had, I think a good example of fandom-understanding-authors is, actually, the @johnlockficclub; every couple months or so we read new stories, and then at the end of the story, we ask authors our questions about their intent of the stories, and in turn the author gets an interesting (I hope) insight into how various people interpreted their stories. Even during the live-chats leading up to the author q-and-a, we all see how we each interpreted certain sections of the chapters we read that week, and see various viewpoints we never considered. So I think that is a wonderful way to see authorial intent vs. reader interpretation, and as far as I know, all the authors we’ve “interviewed” loved just getting that kind of feedback for their stories. You should join in on at least the author interviews just to see how they go and give you some ideas on how an author will take feedback. It’s so fascinating to me!

Just a fun little anecdote that oftentimes, it is a positive experience for an author because most of them love to talk about their stories – their stories are their children, and they care deeply for them, because it’s a part of them, and it’s an expression of their love. They WANT you to understand and enjoy their work. It’s a cyclical thing: if you understand their children so you can love them too, then they will love their fanbase and will want to continue to write since they received feedback that was validating to them that they produce work that people enjoy and want to know more about.

Finally, I’d love for some authors to weigh in on their thoughts about this; would you be offended if someone loved your story but would want your clarification on some things, or want to know how you intended for the audience to perceive it? Please let us know!

so, since i started this list like this last year too, here we go: i know little to nothing about music, i have weird (may i say b a d) taste and my reasonings are - as expected from a subjective list - Super personal ,, also i dont follow every female k-artists so there are definitely blind spots for me too! that said ... LETS GET GAY! LETS GO LESBIANS!

Wind (바람 ) - Heize

suprise surprise, its Heize again. i was rarely this excited about a comeback this year as i was about Wind ... i adore this mini. i really love Heize’s voice, especially now that she is playing around with rapping And singing more than ever, its just ,, i hear her voice and i just, immediately calm down and feel a warm glow in me rising and --- this is getting really cheesy, isn’t it.

my fav tracks have to be Sorry and wish you well (feat. DAVII), however i can listen to this whole album without a problem - of course Jenga as the title was amazing as well, Dahye’s voice works really well with Gaeko’s as well. additionally i loved the ~design for this album, the photoshoot is stunning and the whole aesthetic is very much up my alley.

AND SINCE WE R ALREADY TALKING ABOUT DAHYE:

+ First Sight (첫눈에) - Heize

as expected, i love her winter single release as well. again, a Lovely mixture of her singing and a solid very groovy amazing rapping part. i did like her mini a lot more lyricwise (lots of it is really sad but Sorry has such smart lyrics!!!), however as a “”simple”” winter release that is meant to fit this season, this is amazing.

Oh Boy. Here we go.

this is hands-down my Favorite Release of this whole year. i don’t know if its clear, but i adore yeeun. i adore her as the person park yeeun, who is an activist and very outspoken about her position of a woman in the industry, her experiences in one of the most successful girlgroups Ever, her views on feminism and sexism, the fact that she collabed with a drag organizer for her exhibition, etc etc etc. however, i also love yeeun as Ha:tfelt and adore her music. Pluhmm is such a sensual, fun and soft and yet strong song about her Own Desires and a woman that Wants to flirt and be in love and have fun and Be sensual and its so so so lovely and warm and playful and confident? i died a little at the MV because Ha:tfelt is a Woman and is portrayed as such, she is sensual and sexy and its portrayed by yeeun dancing around a flat in the sexiest dress and feeling herself and. its just Wonderful. so wonderful. i love her. Cigar is super touching too, very smooth and slick and polished and yet it has a vulnerable touch to it and is just ,, such a good song ....... thank u yenny.

ANOTHER AMAZING WOMAN. if i had to choose a soloist that is more active and actively promotes and performs on music and award shows etc, i’d definitely go for Sunmi. first of all: sunmi is outstandingly hardworking, talented, tough, brave, but also so so so kind and sweet and self-aware (seriously her twitter account is my social media highlight of this year, she is beyond ADORABLE and wonderful and funny) and of course she is fucking beautiful. this album is AMAZING - i can listen to the whole tracklist without skipping a single song. i adore Siren (aesthetically its my favorite title track of hers, though i do think Gashina is a little more catchy, esp together with that choreo - but i Love Siren’s horror-esque MV with the, well, siren-mermaid-imagery, so good!) but personally my favorite SONGS are ADDICT and Black Pearl - both sound very different actually, one being completely in English, but it just shows how well Sunmi can pull of different styles. god ... have u seen her on stage? shes a m a z i n g.

KHAN - I’m Your Girl ?

I started following Euna and Minju already before they debuted ... but what really made me fall in love with both their voices, be it singing or rapping (cause both are quite good at both ,,) was their DNA cover! generally the fact that they keep posting really cool covers on their youtube channel is beyond lovely and these two really managed to make me like a version of DNA ... (probably my least favorite BTS title track, lmao ,,)

their actual debut was just lovely. the song is great, soothing and super smooth and groovy and easy to listen to, their voices are stunning in it, the MV is VERY GAY, the choreo is fun and their outfits for promotion stages were such a lovely fresh wind and i really enjoyed seeing them perform a LOT. i just really like that KHAN already is quite unique and m so so so looking forward to future comebacks!

BBIBBI - IU

no highlight list without Jieun. the lyrics to this track were solely written by her and it shows - IU is an outstanding songwriter, i adore her hard work and experience and talent. the sound of the track itself is fun and bubbly and groovy and Very catchy, but my highlight is how this conflicts so beautifully with the lyrics that are quite ... critical and rough and basically show a very very sweet lovely middle finger to the rumour-netizen-culture around her ,, i am super excited for future full releases from jieun, though i still listen to Palette a lot and think she should take all the time she needs!

Bad Boy - Red Velvet

sadly, i didnt not really enjoy Red Velvets later release this year and neither did i really dig their summer release, but what i do adore to the moon and back is their The Perfect Red Velvet - The 2nd Album Repackage, though thats a lil bit of cheating since i already mentioned their Perfect Velvet album last year ,,

Bad Boy is my favorite title track of theirs this year, the styling is OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD MY GOD and the sound is just, smooth and cool and sexy and just ... damn.

also, Red Velvet definitely has some of my favorite jacket photoshoots of this year, the quality and beauty of their photos is amazing, i could spend hours just looking at those ......... and maybe i did.

What Is Love? - TWICE

the nations girl group powered through this year and released so many catchy awesome songs that i had a hard time choosing one ,, but What Is Love is definitely my MV highlight of the year and also the song itself is so so fun and lovely and cheerful and just makes me feel happy ... thank u for making me happy, TWICE!

You And I - Dreamcatcher

i have to admit: Dreamcatcher is not really my sound. their tracks remind me a little too much of Very Loud Stressful Anime Openings, so i accept that its just not my music taste ,, HOWEVER i actually really really like You and I. the song is very catchy and has this one part right before the chorus that i really love, its a very cool mysterious “dark” awesome track. moreover though i love the Whole Package that is Dreamcatcher (again, this horror-esque style of theirs is Really Up My Alley) - their styling and choreos are so clever and SEXY and goth-y and different, its just so fucking fun to watch them perform, especially the Choreo to You and I is so so so so so cool!

(also they r somewhat of a lesbian cult and m Very Appreciative of that, my god.)

LOOΠΔ - just, the whole thing.

SO - it took me until this year to really get into Loona. i knew them beforehand and was intrigued by the unique pre-debut “schedule” that their company was doing and checked out some songs but never got into them deeper. however, this year i truly listened to the Broad Amazing Variety that Loona offers and i just Have to include them here. all the girls and the subunits are super interesting and diverse and i love how especially the solo songs all sound different and lots of things were tried out and the AESTHETICS ARE OFF THE CHARTS. their full group debut was a little too ... they played it too ~safe for my taste, however i still adore lots of LOONA songs and can only recommend them!

(my favs are So Boring, i love Egoist and Heart Attack and Singing in the Rain and New and ... i’ll get back to this once i develop an actual Interesting opinion lmao)

i Can’t possibly end this list without some honorable mentions, because girls are amazing:

- (G)I-DLE are amazing rookies and performers and just such an awesome new girlgroup. Soyeon’s stage presence is just ,, wow, she is such a good rapper and performer, but the other girls are also so amazing and m so glad they are so successful and loved so far. favorite track of this year is def HANN (Alone), though all their songs are mighty good.

- Oh My Girl. maybe i dont listen to their songs as much but m in deep love with their visuals and stages and man ... call me, Yooa, please, m free almost every night.

- fromis_9 had such a cute quirky hyper Love Bomb comeback, i loved it!

- Momoland similarly had such catchy fun songs, i gotta mention them too!

- Hyuna - i love Hyuna and i wish her all the best and happiness and love and success and i hope to see her on stage again soon! (i especially loved her in Triple H, since i was actually quite a fan of that trio and the retro funky sound they went for ...... big sigh @ cube)

- Yubin ... again, not really my sound, but man. kill me Yubin, just do it, cmon.

- EXID is back to OT5! m so happy!!! I Love You was really fun, but I definitely enjoyed DDD last year more ,, but i still wanted to mention them, such a fun, diverse, different girlgroup that offers lots of different sounds and visuals and stands out to me a lot, so so good!

- Chungha ... m still in the process of falling in love with Chungha but oh god .... have u seen her? her dancing skills are out of this world, her beauty is stunning, she is so so sweet and kind and tough and her songs m so eager to properly discover and also a rly niche point but: I LOVE HER ALBUM DESIGNS SO SO SO MUCH.

- Minseo is another new amazing soloist ,, i discovered her at first through my fav photographers instagram (@ mu_gung) who took just. outstanding pics of Minseo but i also Adore her voice and she has done Amazing covers as well, her Why So Lonely is my absolute favorite and id dare to say i like it just as much as the original ... check her out, her MV visuals and concepts are Super interesting and beautiful and fun as well!

fuck it if I know… probably the smartest way to tackle it is to follow this list, which pretty much covers the vital Batman related arcs. PERSONALLY, I don’t care about reading about all the batkids, I just picked my favorite ones and just.. read everything I could about them (and lucky for me my favorite batkids don’t have thousands and thousands of comics so ! yay!) here’s some reading orders I made (except for the Damian one)

Almost every single member of the Batfam (that didn’t get booted from this contuinity) got either a solo or a team book, which are. super good to start, reading order be dammed, but the batfam went through a lot of shit (court of owls, the joker, bruce kinda died, jim gordon became batman, bruce didnt remember anything, dick kinda died and got exposed but came back as a spy, damian died, bruce lost his mind, they kinda went to hell, damian came back, dozens of robins ran around, etc etc etc) so im gonna try to order it as best as i can T__T

Rick Creed 😎

Rick lectures was great, his humour and the relaxed way he speaks about his work it speaks volumes to me about how comfortable he is with how he creates. I hope Im lucky enough one day to attain that sense of depth and self knowledge.

To Rick life is a circle ⭕️ he talks so beautifully about all the world being drunk and he is just trying to make some sense out of it through his work. I love this analogy so much.

His works with mixed media found objects and geometric shapes that create a sense of perspective in his paintings. Ricks says his paintings are very urban due to his love of the city. To me they also have a sense of journey, like a story of colour and emotion. Rick also talked about the countryside unnerving him, he gets confused by all the green 😂He talks about how the more dangerous an area is the more he is attracted to it. His paintings explore painting beyond the frame. He talks about going for a walk on the canvas, which sounds really romantic 💓

Rick also uses Latin words for his titles, which is a language that I find fascinating. My generation just missed out on learning Latin in school, but Iv always heard how difficult it is to learn.

It’s interesting to see that literature plays a big part in Risks inspiration as well as the fabulous artist Piet Mondrian. I can see Piet Mondrians influence in Ricks work through his use of colour and geometric shapes.

In particular Rick is inspired by a 12th century poet called Rumi ❣️ I’ll definitely have to investigate this poet, the one poem he read was absolutely beautiful. 🥰

Titles are very important to Rick giving the viewer a way in to maybe understanding or reading his work.

His atitude to his work is amazing he has gotten to that comfortable place with his work that ability to stay out of his own head so he can create, which is a great skill. Iv always been able to zone out so much so thats sometimes I even do it unconsciously during conversation, not through being consciously rude or bored, but it’s just how my mind travels. I can still get too stuck in my head at times with my own work and it can stop the creative process for me entirely. I hope through years of practice I can hone that fabulous skill.

Rick talks about remembering to be true to our inner selves, thoughts and emotions and not over thinking or allowing outside influences to hinder our genuine self.

Rick’s attitude of doing what you love and being true to ourselves is the best advice. It’s definitely something we all need to remember create work from our hearts without external influence or expectations.

He talked about the time a lecturer told him his work was terrible. He spoke with such passion about his lecturers at uni being ‘a bunch of bastards’ and how that stopped him in his tracks creatively and how destructive that can be for any artist.

To be honest I had happen to me recently with me print work and I havent looked at them since. So I know how he feels. It’s hard to move passed being deflated. Another person aggressively and negatively commenting is so unhelpful. It’s about the wording, critiqually constructive advice helps the person progress and doesn’t hinder the creative process.

I always find Rick really welcoming and lovely to speak too. I know we are constantly being assessed, but Rick it great at making you feel relaxed. He always makes you laugh and listens to what you have to say. He always has time for a natter he is a true legend and a genuinely kind hearted person that doesn’t suffer fools gladly. My favourite Rick moment was catching him walking into our studio making the crucifix sign .....😂🤣 probably best to be safe than sorry.

The Q&A was amazing, Rick’s insight is so reassuring and supportive to us all. I look forward to seeing his new works. He is such a wise and fabulous artist. I hope to be that focused someday.

Rick talked about how we are all embarking on a career where we are always having to start at the beginning. When you look at it that way it makes you realise how much work goes into dedicating your life to art.

I said to Rick once ‘being an artist is like we are dancing in the dark’ We are dancing around hoping not to miss that next step that helps our work come into its own.

THE ALBUM YES. so ive been looking forward to it for literally months, this is actually my first skz album release as a stay (since the last on was 9 months ago) i was sitting there hitting refresh on my spotify the second 6pm kst came around. (speaking of which, how did you do the release? i couldnt decide whether to watch or listen first but i ended up on listening cos there would be more material) okay: so cheese was super cool, very skz ya know? tho i almost wish theyd made domino the title track, tho obv it was a more experimental track and would have been a bit controversial (much like whistle for bp) i looooved domino and thunderous was absolutely impeccable. all the songs were amazing but standouts were- secrets, secrets which lowkey made me tear up idk why, red lights which almost killed me (it did not have to go that hard, but it did) and OT8 WOLFGANG omgggg i wasnt sure if hyunjin was going to be included in it but i was hoping and, ya know people had said hed be in there, but the further i got in, the less i was sure and then BAM hyunjin started what had been jisung's part and i just sat there grinning for about 5 minutes. surfin was absolutely adorable and gone away almost made me cry AGAIN. star lost was so touching, almost a nod to hyunjins little star? silent cry was relatable beyond anything. SSICK was funny? for some reason I was laughing while it was playing, idk the combination of added cheering and minhos aggressiveness and the totall seriousness they sung it. but i rlly enjoyed it. sorry i love you showcased their vocals like nothing else. the view is THE BOP of 2021, absolutely going to be stuck in my head for the next decade, that hook is genius. what did you think?

oh yeah, abt quarantine having an effect. my friend and i talked about this earlier actually. i didn't realize the world was moving so fast until the pandemic happened. being in quarantine gave me time to think and i got to know myself more. it's just the sole good thing i got out of the isolation lmao. and abt my strict parents, ironically i got to go out today so i got to hang out with a few of my bestfriends. i had fun but my legs are a bit sore from walking. but they're a different set of friends. i'll get to hang out with the others when my getaway driver comes home in december.

hmm music recommendations for writing? depends on the plot you're writing. care to share what story you're working on and i'll try to rake my brain for a song that might match the vibe. i listen to classical / lo-fi if i don't have song inspo for a fic because lyrics sometimes distract me.

WELL. i have a list so you won't have to go search for them! in class (minho), in the rain (seungmin), gladius maximus (chan) and you've read five star already. and i just realized that most, if not all, of my upcoming fics are fluffs and i'm fond of all of them :D i used to focus a lot on angst because fluff disgusted the living shit out of me. i think things changed when i wrote champagne problems and hurt myself so bad i wanted to drop angst entirely. i didn't, of course, but i allowed myself to be self-indulgent now.

A/N: I had such a hard time writing this, and I rewrote this like multiple times but this was the best I could do and for that i’m sorry. I had such a hard time making J-hope look like a douche. He’s such a cutie! Hopefully you all like this little series. I had fun writing~

Part 1

pairing: j-hope x reader

Genre: Angst, Fluff

You felt like life was set for you. You were truly happy with where you were in life. Your career was great and you realized that while you were happy now, there was still a lot you wanted to do for yourself. Being in a group full of talented girls, you were never sure if you were as talented as them, but Hoseok kept reminding you that you were.

He made you feel complete and at ease in the business and you were beyond thankful for him being your best friend.

Hoseok meanwhile was terrified of how close you two were getting. Management didn’t want anyone from either groups dating, but that wasn’t what scared him the most. Even if were to go against the company and secretly date, he wasn’t sure you felt the same way he did. He knew that you considered him a good friend, but he felt like that’s all he could ever be for you.

One day, Bang PD called you into his office, but only you alone. You thought he was going to sack you, but to your surprise, he opened up a new door.

“I know that being in a girl group isn’t what you signed up for. It seems like all the other girls are off doing some sort of solo promotions, but you don’t really seem all that interested in acting or things like that. I want to know how you feel about releasing a single...by yourself...” he asked, trying to comprehend the expression on your face.

“Yes! Yes!! A million times yes!” you say excitedly, jumping up in your chair.

Bang PD laughs along with you. “Well then, I’m giving you the freedom to choose your own concept. I’m expecting big things, Y/N” he said.

You could barely contain your excitement. “Thank you PD-nim! Thank you so much” you said as you excused yourself from his office.

After your initial meeting with Bang PD, it was later determined that someone should feature in your title song. Since you had the freedom to do what you wanted with your music, you were allowed to pick. Most people thought you would pick someone from your group but to everyone’s surprise, you had asked Hoseok. And to surprise everyone further, he said yes in a heartbeat.

“Are you sure you want me to feature? Would I be ok?” he had asked you multiple times. Hoseok was going to be dancing alongside you for most of the song and even rap a few lines during the 2nd verse.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way” you had told him back. And it was true. You wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

After the song was produced, you and Hoseok spent hours a day in the dance practice rooms. There was something about watching him dance that made your heart flutter, but you pushed those feelings aside. You scolded yourself for being distracted during such an important time.

There were quite a few moments in the song where Hoseok would hold you, and you felt your heart race. Why am I feeling like this??

You became very conscious of every move you made, every note you sang, and every verse you rapped when you were in his presence. It was so important to not mess up in front of him, but of course you made many mistakes while trying not to.

“It’s fine, don’t let the nerves get to you” he reassured. Was it the nerves.... or was it him?

“Hyung, you’re always spending time with Y/N!” Taehyung complained as he walked into the dorms one night.

“You know we’re busy Taehyung” he said, wiping the sweat off of his face.

“When is the song debuting anyways? We’re starting our Korea tour soon too” Jungkook chimed in.

“It’s next week and we promote on shows for just a few weeks. Her promotions and our tour dates don’t collide don’t worry” Hoseok reassured the group.

“Hyung, just ask her out already. It’s obvious you’re in love with her” Jimin said suddenly.

“W-What” Hoseok said, shocked.

“It’s so obvious!! What do you mean what? You just melt everytime you see her” Jimin said, teasingly.

It had angered Hoseok for some reason though. “That’s not true, I don’t just melt” Hoseok said in a mocking tone.

“Oh please, you become like this soggy noodle when you see her. It’s kinda gross. Just ask her out already, we want the old Hoseok back” said Jimin jokingly.

Hoseok had heard enough. He didn’t think that he changed so much after meeting you and he didn’t want his band members to think of him like that.

The next day at practice, you noticed that Hoseok was being a little distant from you. He wasn’t his usual happy self, and it kind of sucked seeing him like that. You had asked him if anything was bothering him, but he just brushed it off. You had been wanting to treat him to dinner for a while as a small thank you and you knew that you both had time tonight.

“Hey, want to grab some dinner today after practice? My treat! I just wanted to give a small thank you for all of this” you said shyly.

You saw his face light up for a second before it fell again. “Uh, I was actually just going to hang out with the guys today. Maybe another time” he said, as he began packing things into his bag.

“oh..yeah. No problem. I’ll see you tomorrow”

The last few of days of practice were boring as Hoseok seemed different, but you still plowed through the choreo and you were finally set to perform.

You were sad that Hoseok seemed different and you were beginning to wonder if you had anything to do with it? “Did I do something” you said aloud as he left the practice room again, once again rejecting your offer to dinner.

Instead, you called a few of the girls and asked if they wanted to eat. The entire was group was busy, so it was hard seeing them even if you all lived together. But to your surprise, a few of the girls were free tonight and ha agreed to have dinner.

As you all headed to a small restaurant close to your dorms, you saw a group of seven boys sitting by the window. You could hear their laughter from outside and one voice clearly stuck out to you. You opened the door and immediately see all seven boys sitting and enjoying their dinner.

Your friends say hi to them and drag you along with them. Hoseok’s smile drops upon seeing you and you feel your heart drop a little. You excuse yourself and the girls and get a table of your own. As you eat, you can’t help but notice how Hoseok is his same bubbly self in front of the boys, so obviously it means that he’s upset with you for some reason. But you don’t know why and it killed you. And you were too scared to ask too. Somehow you finished before the boys and headed back to the dorms in a slump.

The day was finally here. You had released your mini album and it was taking over music charts left and right, much to your surprise. People praised you for your talent and while you were so happy, you felt slightly overwhelmed at performing live.

As it was your turn, you felt like you were going to pass out from the nerves. Although you performed on stage multiple times, you were scared about standing alone. But then you remembered that you had Hoseok with you, and even though things weren’t so great between you two anymore, he was still there for you to rely on.

The performance went by in a blur, but apparently, you had done well. The fans cheered for you loudly, and you almost teared up from their reaction. As you walked off stage, you felt so happy that you couldn’t contain your actions. You jumped around and without thinking, you gave Hoseok a big hug, thanking him for everything.

You could feel him tense at your gesture, and you immediately let go. “Great Job, Y/N” he said as he gave you a small smile. You weren’t sure because of the lighting, but you thought you saw him blush.

After the show was over, you went back to your dressing room where you were met with the bangtan guys. They congratulated you and Hoseok for a wonderful performance and some of the guys even handed you a bouquet.

After a few minutes, a staff member entered your dressing room to call you out for an interview. “Y/N-yah! Hurry up, we’ll treat you to dinner” said Jin as you stood up from your chair.

“Wah, really? I’m looking forward to it, oppa! I’ll be back soon!” You said, excitedly skipping to the door.

The interview was rather short thankfully and you thanked the interviewer before heading back to the dressing room. You were excited for dinner, and felt like maybe things were going to be okay with Hoseok again, or at least you could talk about it.

As you approached your door, you saw that it was slightly open. You placed your hand on the knob, about to open it when you heard your name being mentioned inside.

“Hyung, you and Y/N performed well today!” you heard Jungkook say and you felt a smile creep up on your face. You knew it was bad to eavesdrop, but you wanted to fuel your ego just a bit more today. You thought you deserved it.

“Hhm” was all Hoseok said.

“Why, did you not think so?” asked Namjoon

“I guess it was alright” Hoseok continued.

“Just alright? Weren’t you excited to do this?” Jin asks

“Me? Not really. I didn’t want to do it in the first place. Bang PD had asked me multiple times and thats why I had said yes. I just needed something to fill in time before the tour started I guess.” Hoseok says, nonchalantly.

You could feel the tears start to form in your eyes. He didn’t really mean that, did he?

“Wait what, you’re kidding right?” Yoongi asked.

“No, I’m really not. I figured it would be a good way to pass time, but it’s just been pretty boring as of recently. I thought she had some potential as a hoobae, but I guess I was wrong. She’s nothings special.” Hoseok said.

“Hyung...you don’t mean that, do you?” Jimin asked, all playfulness gone from his voice.

“Yes, I do mean that. Why do you think I’m joking? Look, I’m just glad we only promote for a little bit more. It’s kind of embarrassing to be on stage with such a rookie. I can’t wait to end this and just go on tour” Hoseok finished.

The room fell silent and your hand was shaking on the knob. You couldn’t hold the tears back, and you ran as fast as you could to the nearest exit. Thankfully, you had your phone and you immediately called your manager, who picked you up shortly. As your manager oppa pulled into the lot, he could see you hunched up near the door. Worried, he quickly runs out the car and pulls you towards the car. “Yah! You can’t just sit there like that. What happened?” he asks, as he closes the door to the car once you were safely inside. “I saw the performance, you did very well! Why are you crying?” he kept asking.

But you couldn’t tell him. You couldn’t put into words how hurt you were. You just continued to sob.

“Aish. Do you have all your stuff at least?” he asked. And that’s when you realized that you had a small bag of your things left in the dressing room. You told your manager that and he left to go get it for you. You were alone in the darkness and you felt each warm tear stream down your cheeks. How would you face Hoseok anymore? He never considered you as talented, or a friend. You just wanted to hide in a corner and never see his face again.

Hoseok was glad he finally got the boys off of his back for teasing him about you. It was hard turning all of your requests for dinner down when he wanted nothing more than to spend more alone time with you. He felt awful saying the words he just said the boys, but at least they wouldn’t tease him anymore.

He heard the door open and was expecting to see you back from your interview as it was getting a little longer than expected. But to everyone’s surprise, it was your manager.

“Uh hey boys. I didn’t think you all would be here” he said, shocked to see everyone there.

“Oh, hi Hyung! We’re waiting for Y/n, we wanted to take her to dinner! Are you joining.” Jin said.

“Oh, I don’t think that’s going to happen. She’s...uh...not feeling very well so I’m just going to take her to the dorm. Have you seen her bag?” your manager said, looking around the room for your things.

Jungkook handed him the bag slowly. “She’s not feeling well? She seemed fine just a little while ago..” he said returning back to his seat.

Hoseok was immediately worried. You were fine just a few minutes ago, like Jungkook had pointed out. What was wrong? Were you going to be able to promote tomorrow?

“I guess we can have dinner another time then...” Jin says.

You had cried the entire night and your stylist scolded you for the puffy eyes the next morning. You were scared to confront Hoseok. The other girls had found you crying in your dorm last night and had asked you what was wrong. You had explained to them the situation, and while they were pissed, they realized they couldn’t do anything either. They just suggested you keep communication with Hoseok at the bare minimum and just get through promotions. You were thankful for the girls and their advice, but you were still sad nonetheless.

Your schedule was full thankfully, and you were able to get your mind off of yesterday’s events for a while. But pretty soon, it was time for you to get on stage again and you had to confront Hoseok one way or another.

Hoseok (and the rest of guys) had texted you last night trying to make sure that you were okay, but you only replied to Jin telling them not to worry. It bothered Hoseok when you didn’t reply to him of all people considering you were closest to him. You just kept him on read.

When Hoseok walked into your dressing room, any reason he had for avoiding you at first went out the window. He was back to his usual self, full of worry for you.

“Hey, are you okay? Why did you just leave yesterday? Are you really sick? Should you even be here today if you’re sick? You can rest! Do you have a temperature?” he asked, raising his hands up to your forehead to check your temperature. But you flinched away before his hands could make any contact.

“I’m fine.” you say a little more harshly than you were intending.

Hoseok just stared at you, trying to figure out why you were being so cold to him. It hurt seeing that you didn’t greet him with your usual smile, even when he was being nothing short of an ass to you. He knew he didn’t deserve your kindness forever, but it still frustrated him that you didn’t even bother looking at him since he walked into the room.

“Ok fine, if you say so” he said angrily, exiting the room. You promised yourself you wouldn’t cry, so you tried your hardest not let the tears forming in your eyes to fall and spoil your makeup.

Your promotions were finally ending. The last two weeks were torture for you, trying so hard not to cry everytime you say Hoseok. You would cry every night and no matter how much your bandmates tried to help, you couldn’t help yourself.

Hoseok wasn’t having it any better. He missed seeing you smile. The only reason you made eye contact with him was because you both were on stage and it killed him inside. He just wanted to know what was wrong.

“Hey, I guess we’re officially done with promotions huh? Can’t I take you up on that offer for dinner?” Hoseok asked as you finished your last stage together. He just wanted to talk to you and figure things out.

“Uh no. I think I’m having dinner with the girls” you say, still not looking at him. Why did he want dinner? It’s not like he wants to be around you anyways.

“Oh...Ok. Uh well, I guess I’ll see you around then? Oh yeah, here! I got tickets for our tour for you and the girls. We can’t wait to see you there!” He says as he hands you the tickets.

“Thank you” you say curtly before walking away. If he had asked you two months ago to come to his concert, you would have jumped in joy. But now you knew that his words were just empty. He couldn’t care less if you showed up or not.

Hoseok kept texting you days leading up to his concert, but you never replied. He knew that something was wrong, and he wanted nothing more than just drop everything he was doing and try to figure out why he was giving you the cold shoulder. Unfortunately, he had other responsibilities.

After the first night of the concert, they boys were in the dressing room changing out of their clothes and wiping off their sweat. The girls of your group all entered, congratulating the boys.

“Oh...did Y/N not come?” Jin asked, noticing that you weren’t there. Hoseok noticed too and he was incredibly upset when he realized you didn’t make it to the concert. He thought he had put on his best performance on stage, knowing that you would be watching. But it was like his efforts were in waste.

“Huh? Oh yeah.. she didn’t come” said one of the girls.

“Aish, I’m worried about that girl. We haven’t spoken properly in ages!” Jin continued. After Hoseok, you were closest to Jin, but as of lately, Jin was the only one from the group that you bothered talking to.

“pft, why would want to come” another girl said under her breath, but sadly it was a little too loud.

“What was that?” Namjoon asked, a little annoyed.

The others girls scolded her for saying that. “What! It’s true” she said again.

“Why would she not want to come?” Jungkook asked curiously.

The girls all looked at eachother, not wanting to be the one to tell the guys.

“Why wouldn’t she want to come?” Suga asked, slightly angry now. He didn’t care too much why you weren’t there, but he hated the awkward situation in the room.

One of the girls finally caved. “She heard what you said” she said, looking directly at Hoseok. All eyes were turned to Hoseok now.

“She heard me say what...?” Hoseok asked.

The girls seemed annoyed now. “She heard what you said after her first performance in her dressing room. She heard you say that you embarrassed to stand on stage with such a rookie and that she was nothing special” the girl almost yelled.

It was like the blood had drained from his face. He felt his heart pound and he knew he had messed up big time.

“She...She heard that?” Hoseok asked.

“Ah Hyung! You shouldn’t have said those things. You really didn’t mean it right?” Jimin said.

“OF COURSE I DIDNT MEAN THOSE THINGS! I was sick and tired of you all teasing me for liking her and I wanted to get you guys off my back. I didn’t mean those things aish” Hoseok said, yelling back at Jimin.

“Hyung, you could have just told us to stop teasing. We were all looking forward to you both dating, but we just thought teasing you about it would make you ask her out earlier” Taehyung chimed in after a few seconds.

“WAIT YOU LIKE HER” the girls asked in unison.

Hoseok looked at the girls, not really caring that his feelings had been revealed. He just needed to make things right with you and beg for forgiveness.

“She..she’s likes you too. Erm...liked, I should say” said one of the girls.

“Wait what” Hoseok said in shock.

“yeah, she’s liked you for a long time now. I can’t say that she feels the same now though” she said.

And just like that, Hoseok ran out of the room. He had to see you.

You heard the doorbell ring and assumed the girls had come back. Why didn’t the girls just enter? You went up to the small screen to see who was at the screen and much to your surprise, you saw Hoseok standing there in the screen, panting.

“Y/n, I know you’re inside. Please open the door!” He said, looking directly at the camera. You didn’t want to open the door, but for whatever reason, you opened it.

He came in through the door in a hurry and now the two of you were face to face.

“Hoseok, you can’t be in here” you said first.

“I- I don’t care. I needed to see you” he said.

“why?” you asked, folding your arms as if to protect yourself.

Suddenly, Hoseok pulls you into one of his bear hugs. You struggled to set yourself free, but it was no use.

“L-let go!” you said, still struggling.

“No, Y/n, I have to tell you something. I am SO sorry. What you heard in your dressing room all those weeks ago, I didn’t mean those at all” he began. You stopped struggling.

“I was- I was just so tired of the boys teasing me for liking you that I just wanted to get them off of my back. Thats all. I promise you I didn’t mean those things at all. You...You’re amazing. I fell for your charms the first day I met you” he continued, not able to stop spilling his feelings. He could feel the warm tears on his shoulder.

“You..You didn’t mean that? Really?” you choked out.

“No of course not. I’m so sorry that I said that. I should have just been honest with you and my feelings before. I’m so sorry Y/n, so sorry” he said back. You now could also feel his tears on your shoulder.

You pulled away from the hug to see his face and you knew in an instant that he was telling the truth.

“Yah. I thought you hated me. Do you know what I went through these last few weeks” you said as you lightly punched at his chest.

“I’m so sorry. I like you so much though. I really do.” He said.

“I..I like you too!” you said through the tears.

“Be mine then” he said, all seriously. You didn’t have time to respond though, as he pulled you into a warm kiss.

After a year of secretly dating, your first dating scandal had broken out. Bang PD was surprised, but he still allowed it in the end. The media went crazy again. But fortunately, most people supported your relationship. You were named the “Rap Couple”.

Now, you felt like you had everything in life. You had amazing friends, family, and a career. And above everything else, you had a wonderful boyfriend who adored you and supported you. You were the happiest girl in the world.

Days is my favorite Kingdom Hearts game but I haven’t played it in a while and I don’t think I ever watched the movie version all the way through! So I watched it and liveblogged it.

I basically have the Saix’s monologue in the beginning memorized

Xemnas was insistent on calling her an “it” but uses “she” again when giving Axel the task of getting her back, a dialogue inconsistency or a deliberate manipulation?

There’s an implication that Demyx and Xion talked a lot thats adorable

At least now we know why they were insistent on having 13 people even before they had 13 Nobodies

Axel walks away from conversations almost as much as Vax’ildan

I still don’t get why Riku transforms without the blindfold, and how “his eyes couldn’t lie” is a valid explanation

Axel told Xion the truth and she left. Axel kept the truth from Roxas and he left.

literally why is everyone just okay with DiZ he’s a total jerk

in II DiZ acts like he figures out that Ansem is actually Riku. Here he doesn’t question that Riku is 2 heads taller and his voice is 2 octaves deeper.
