#there are some native-run websites that are good places to start

Really annoying thing about trying learn more about specific Native American groups is the fact that half the time the information about them is just. not attributed to any particular people. Like wow that """""traditional native american outfit""""" is really beautiful but like. WHICH FUCKING GROUP ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF THEM!!!!!!!
like they don't even mention which REGION a particular belief/piece of clothing/art is from and its like. I am grabbing you by the shoulders and speaking directly to the people that do this: I Want You To Look Me In My Fucking Eyes And Tell Me the Cultures Of New York And Texas Are Interchangeable. Do It. You Fucking Can't And That's The Whole Goddamn Point.
We can recognize that two states in this country can have vastly different cultures, despite being united under THE SAME FUCKING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. So why do people refuse to do this with native tribes that were governed by completely differing bodies on completely different parts of the continent??? It fucking BAFFLES me. TELL ME WHICH SPECIFIC GROUP SOMETHING CAME FROM I AM NO LONGER FUCKING ASKING

Roleplay Is Not Dead Nor Doth It Sleep
There's a post going around about how text-based, freeform roleplay is dead, and I was typing up a huge response to this, with an accompanying guide on how to find roleplayer in 2024, when I realized it might have a bigger reach if I made it its own post. So here's that guide.
I hesitate to say that there isn't a problem with the new format of social media making roleplay more difficult to find, but in the desire to make that point, the OP of the original post has left people with the idea that there's no way for them to get into freeform text roleplay in 2024. Which just isn't true! Here, look at all the ways.
Forums
The link to RPG-Directory to find roleplaying forums is a good start. Once you've found a forum RPG, even if you don't join, there's usually an 'advertising' section on that forum where other forum RPGs post their ads - this may help you to find forums that don't advertise on RPG-D.
Another really good forum to find roleplay on is Barbermonger. Barbermonger is focused on connecting people for one-on-one roleplays.
This last one's going to be weird, but it turns out that there are still people seeking roleplay on the Gaia Online forums after all these years. I think this is delightfully retro and then crowd there seems a little older than average. No pre-existing knowledge of Gaia required.
Tumblr
You can also find forum roleplay groups (as well as tumblr and Discord groups) right here on Tumblr. Usually, the thing to do is to use the search function - search for "[genre] rp" or "[fandom] rp" and sort by "latest." (If you sort by Top, you are likely to find dead RPs.) For example, here's fantasy rp, historical rp, and marvel rp. You can also try jcink rp, as most roleplay forums are hosted on Jcink these days, or discord rp, depending on your favored platform.
There are also tumblr blogs specifically dedicated to advertising roleplays. I'm not super familiar with these nowadays, but just in the process of searching those tags above, I found these:
Jcink Tinder
RPG Adverts
RPings
There are more, I just don't know them off the top of my head.
Reddit
Listen, don't run away, I swear it's good now - I swear Reddit is good now -
Reddit is a good place to find Discord roleplays. It's a little heavier on smut-only roleplays than other platforms mentioned here, but it's not impossible to find sexless, plot-based roleplay here either. Most ads are for one on one RP, but you can find groups mixed in here too. The big subreddits for text-based freeform RP seem to be:
r/DiscordRP
r/RoleplayPartnerSearch
r/roleplaying
r/Roleplay
Some of these have weird rules about what you can put in your ad, and I don't remember which ones, so read carefully and don't get discouraged if your ad is initially removed.
Discord
In 2024, Discord is by far the biggest and most popular platform for roleplay, and it has its own native roleplay advertising hubs. Here are a bunch:
roleplay partner hub
Rockin Roleplay
The Roleplay Garden
roleplay help
the roleplay connection
RP Central
Roleplay Central
Roleplay Hub
Barbermonger also has a Discord server
Roleplay Meets: Reborn
RP Hub
The Scribes Guild
DM Rp Village
cherry blossom! roleplay hub
DM-RP
Roleplay Round Table (21+)
The Historical Syndicate (specifically for historical roleplay)
The Roleplayer's Directory
If you can't find the Discord roleplay you want on here, you can also try Discord hub websites, like Disboard. These work similar to tumblr tags - search for [genre] rp or [fandom] rp.
Other
The original post specifically mentions that 'all the old "omegle but for role play" type websites died out ages ago'. This is mostly true, but not quite! There's still Rolechat. It's a little janky, but what it needs more than anything is a bigger user base. Their Discord server is also a good place to find one on one discord roleplay. It is, of course, free, but if you want to support its development, they have a patreon.
Please reblog this post, and add your own tips on how to find roleplay!

❃Seventeen and buying concert tickets❃
a/n: Sooooo apparently, my first post has been doing really well. I came home from visiting my friends over the weekend, only to find out that it has over an 100 notes???? Thank you to everyone who has been liking and reblogging it. I genuinely didn't expect so many people to enjoy, or even see, it, and I feel so incredibly grateful :')
Anyway, I stumbled upon Scoups trying to buy their own concert tickets and thought it would make for a fun prompt. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Scoups/Seungcheol: 7/10
❀ What deity has he disrespected to be suffering this much? When he promised some of his friends to get them tickets as well, he did so out of the assumption that good karma would aid him in increasing his odds of getting good seats. Isn’t that how karma is supposed to work; you do a good deed and get rewarded?
❀ For some reason, the entire website seems to be working against him. He has an abysmal position in the queue, giving him a false sense of hope in obtaining tickets. After he finally is let in, the website seems to continuously glitch. The only reason that he ultimately gets to pick out decent seats is because he spends an absurd amount of money on them.
❀ No, it truly can’t be a higher power toying with him… Instead, he blames himself for picking the wrong location, date and zone. Somehow, he even manages to misplace his credit card, resulting in him having to turn his room upside down. He is about to completely lose it before discovering that he accidentally placed his keyboard on top of it.
❀ After struggling a ton, he finally manages to get decent tickets, ageing at least ten years in the process. Give him some time and space; he needs to properly process the entire experience. Maybe it is time to pay for an exorcist.
Tumblr media
Jeonghan 1000000/10
❀ God has favourites, and it shows. Jeonghan decides to get concert tickets on a whim, pulling out his phone to check whether they are still available. Somehow, precisely at that moment, the tickets go on sale, making him first in the queue.
❀ He doesn’t really understand what Coups is complaining about. He has the seats he wants with a perfect view of the stage. The site runs smoothly, and he is able to buy the tickets without it buffering even once. He doesn’t even have to remind his friends to transfer him the money, either. They did it beforehand.
❀ Even worse, after he successfully purchased the tickets, he decides to never buy tickets for himself ever again. Why would he do it himself when he could ask his friends to do it for him instead? It gives him an additional ten minutes to nap. His ticket buying luck will become a memory, a legend that all those buying tickets tell each other.
❀ Is that Coups crying in the corner?
Tumblr media
Joshua 8/10
❀ You have heard of chick-magnets, and now I present to you, Mr Hong, a ticket-magnet. Joshua has no interest in ticket buying. Rather than spending those hours sitting behind a computer, he could be enjoying one of his thousand hobbies instead. Joshua could’ve made at least four bracelets and watched a full season of anime in the same time span. Why worry over Maroon 5 tickets when he can sing Sunday Morning himself.
❀ Instead, his friends end up giving him their spare tickets whenever someone cancels. Over the years, he has gone to a wide arrange of concerts. It is kind of impressive. One time he went to both a classical and a heavy metal concert on the same day. It gave him whiplash; he almost started a mosh pit as the third movement played.
❀ Considering that Joshua never checks his phone, he wouldn’t even be aware of what concerts are happening. Not that it really matters. Somehow, he will end up going anyway. All concert tickets lead to Hong Jisoo.
Tumblr media
Jun 2/10
❀ Have you ever tried buying tickets in a language that is not your native tongue? No? Well, let me tell you, it is hard. Jun has been staring at the screen for the past five minutes, trying to figure out the fine print. He is having a hard time deciphering the very legal and formal Korean.
❀ He is pretty sure that he is misinterpreting half of it; it seems rather odd for a concert ticket site to be talking about saving the cows when he is looking at insurance options. It truly is weird. Still, Jun cannot help but be a bit concerned about the cows.
❀ Before he is able to buy the tickets, he runs out of time. He had tried to call his members, but he should’ve figured that him reading the confusing Korean out loud would result in a weird narrative telephone game where the members have to guess the word from his shaky pronunciation. At least it made for a fun new game for GoSe.
❀ Fortunately, he is favourite child number 1, and the other members have zero faith in him being able to buy his own ticket. They made sure to get him one whilst he was calling with them. Of course, they gasslight him into thinking that, by some miracle, he had managed to buy the ticket himself. They don’t want to hurt his feelings.
Tumblr media
Hoshi/Soonyoung: -100000000000/10
❀ I should probably add more zeros, but that would ruin the aesthetics. Hoshi's problems already start upon him trying to turn on the computer. No matter how often he smashes the power button, it does not respond. He thinks he broke it, but in reality, Hoshi doesn't understand the concept of a charger. Nobody told him that computers need energy to function.
❀ When Wonwoo told him that the computer needed to be fed, trying to explain the concept of charging and electricity, Hoshi tried giving it a piece of his fried chicken. He left it there for a full hour, but it didn’t eat it. Hoshi thinks the laptop might be mad at him for letting it starve for so long. Someone, please help this man; he is crying.
❀ Maybe instead of using his computer, he can use his phone to buy tickets. Oh, wait, no. He tried showering with his phone because he thought it was waterproof. Why did he think it was waterproof? Nobody knows. He has put it in rice to see whether it will turn on again. The others haven’t told him yet that it is hopelessly fried; they don’t want him to get another phone only to ruin it within seconds.
Tumblr media
Wonwoo 100000000/10
❀ With his gaming set-up and ridiculously fast internet, Wonwoo makes ticket buying look like a sci-fi film. To the untrained eye, watching Wonwoo buying tickets might seem rather boring. To those more experienced, his skills at clicking on the right things at the exact right time are insane. Internally, he has an entire dramatic inner monologue when he does, recounting his months of research on how to optimize ticket buying.
❀ It has become a game for him; he has an insane track record for buying the best seats, and at this point, he does it more so for the thrill. He resells them to the members, increasing the price a bit as he does. He doesn’t tell them, of course; it makes them feel indebted to him, owing him a favour he can cash in during GoSe, whilst he, unbeknownst to them, is making a decent profit. Truly, he is hitting two birds with one stone.
❀ It is only after Wonwoo uses his hard-earned money to buy five extra computers to further optimize the buying of tickets that the other members begin getting concerned. They ultimately decide to hold an intervention for him, explaining that his obsession with ticket buying is borderline unhealthy. So far, he is doing well. He hasn't bought a single concert ticket since the intervention.
Tumblr media
Woozi/Jihoon: 9/10
❀ Concert tickets seem to magically appear on his doorstep, paired with letters full of admiration. Woozi has no idea how they got there. Whenever an artist is going on tour, the tickets seem to materialize out of thin air without fail. He fails to realize that by being the legendary producer Woozi, THE Lee Jihoon, everyone wants him at their concert. He truly is a humble king.
❀ To be honest, he doesn’t really want to go. Unless it happens to be Bruno Mars, he would rather stay indoors, focusing on his own music. He decides to give all the free tickets to Joshua, figuring that it would be a waste to throw the tickets out. However, he stopped giving Joshua the free tickets after he discovered that Joshua was pretending to be him. Not that anyone believed him, but still, Woozi no longer wanted to be associated with the guy who was shamelessly dancing around, executing the cringiest of dance moves.
❀ On the one hand, it did somewhat work. The artists have stopped inviting Woozi to every single concert that they hold, afraid to get his insane friend instead. Joshua, to this day, claims that it was all part of his plan.
Tumblr media
DK/Seokmin: 1/10 but 1000/10 for the vibes
❀ DK is truly trying his best to get tickets for the concert he wants to go to. He has invited all his friends over to buy the tickets together. Everyone brings their own laptop to increase their chances of getting good seats. However, by the end of the night, it has kind of turned into a bit of a party.
❀ Initially, DK put on a playlist to decrease the tension and stress that everyone was feeling. That being said, as time passed, the tickets were kind of forgotten as it turned more and more into a karaoke session. Suddenly more and more people seemed to appear, somehow hearing of this dope party that was being held at DK’s. DK surely didn’t invite them, but the more, the merrier, right? He can’t help but feel like he is forgetting something as the night progresses, but it must probably not be that important.
❀ It hits him only the morning after. It is not completely hopeless, though. When DK goes online to share his funny anecdote with other fellow fans, he inevitably ends up charming someone who has a spare ticket. They end up inviting him along because, well, we all could use some little DK in our life.
Tumblr media
Mingyu: 7.5/10
❀ He thinks he is really good at finding resell tickets for cheap. What he doesn’t know, however, is that everyone takes one good look at his profile pic and decides to risk it all. Unknowingly, Mingyu has broken up a lot of friendships with his posts innocently asking whether anyone has a ticket to spare.
❀ He has no idea that concerts are essentially all dates. The other person always treats him so nicely. They get him food, flowers and give him so many compliments. Honestly, he doesn’t understand how people can be so pessimistic about the world. Look at how many wonderful people are in it, treating him so kindly.
❀ Unfortunately for those who intend the concert to be a date and the start of a new relationship, he is too oblivious to see it as such. At the end of the concert, he will simply shake their hand and thank them for the fun night, never to contact them ever again. Still, nobody gets truly upset about the outcome. His obliviousness is kind of charming.
Tumblr media
The8/Minghao: 5/10
❀ It is all up to faith. Does he understand the Korean on the website? No. As a result, Minghao has decided to make peace with whatever comes out of the ticket buying experience. He has meditated quite a bit before the tickets go on sale, trying to tell himself that it won’t bother him if he doesn’t get the tickets. He is cool, calm and collected.
❀ He makes all his decisions based on a coin flip. Is he struggling to choose between two zones? Coin flip. Should he click the first or second option for insurance? Coin flip. He has a very pretty dice that he can roll for the choices with multiple options. In other words, Minghao puts his trust completely in the universe so that he doesn’t have to admit that he has no idea what he is doing. Honestly, the method allows him to, at the very least, make quick decisions regardless of the outcome. Consequentially, he outspeeds everyone else on the website.
❀ Does it work? Half of the time. Sometimes the universe seems to be favouring him, giving him incredible seats. Other times he is sitting in the nosebleeds, squinting at the stage as he is trying to make out the artist. He comforts himself with the thought that he is there for the music, not the visual experience.
Tumblr media
Seungkwan: 9/10
❀ Welcome to Seungkwan’s military mission to get concert tickets. Drill Sergeant Boo has decided that he will be assembling the best team to get the concert tickets he desires, and there will be nothing stopping him. Not only did he insist on everyone meeting up at the place with the best Wi-Fi, but he also made an entire overview of the best zones and seats, including information on which seats tend to sell out the fastest.
❀ He has set five alarms for when the tickets go on sale, and if anyone dares to goof off, they will meet an early grave. This is a life-or-death situation! Sergeant Boo has no time for those that slack off or test his patience. If you are not taking this seriously, you do not deserve to see Adele in concert.
❀ Let’s just hope that he gets his tickets through regular ticket sales because if not, he will set up an intelligence mission in order to find out as much tea as he can on someone to blackmail them into handing over their tickets. Is it legal? Not really, no, but all is fair in love and war or when Beyoncé tickets are on the line.
Tumblr media
Vernon 8/10
❀ Getting tickets is really no problem for Vernon. All he has to do is connect himself to the internet. He is an AI/NPC, after all. It is incredibly easy; all he has to do is hack into the system and get the tickets before they even go on sale.
❀ Okay, okay, all jokes aside, Vernon, with his refined music taste, mostly attends obscure bands. He is not even snobby about it; he genuinely enjoys their experimental music. Most of the time, the band's tickets do not sell out because the band is, well, questionable at best. Wait, you have not heard of Order of the Metaphysical Rat? They are really good! What about the Tree Rioting Bishops? No? Well, he had a blast at their last concert; you should totally join next time.
❀ Occasionally, he stumbles onto real gems, bands that are on the up-and-coming and about to blow up. He somehow manages to attend their concert at the right time, and when he checks the tickets the next year, they've tripled in price.
❀ However, more often than not, the concerts he attends are an… experience. Dancing Politics truly was something special with their remixing of political speeches, and his ears are still ringing from the Screaming Orchestra. He doesn't understand why none of the other members want to join him.
Tumblr media
Dino/Chan: -1000/10
❀ He is incredibly determined to get the tickets, but Dino has a massive problem: he is a boomer at heart. He is not hip and happening and has no idea how this whole process of buying tickets works. What do you mean that they do not physically mail concert tickets any more?
❀ To be honest, he was kind of hoping one of the other members would take him instead. This whole concept of the internet is truly beyond him. He literally just figured out how the landline works; he blinked twice, and suddenly there is something called the internet.
❀ Somehow, in his attempt to get tickets, he clicks on the wrong thing, and now his computer has crashed. He has no idea how he managed it, but it is refusing to respond. So now he's paying for a hefty bill to get his computer fixed instead of the tickets.
❀ It gets even worse when he trusts a Nigerian Prince emailing him that he has some tickets to resell. Yeah… Dino gets scammed out of a lot of money. It is safe to say that the other members have decided that he no longer gets to shop online.

“I’m scared to pirate stuff - ” do it scared!*
*with Firefox and Adblock and a VPN and -
If you want a nonspecific, nonexhaustive “where do I even start” guide…
Sail the cyber seas at your own risk!
Streaming - “I want to watch xyz”
This is normally what most people want when they talk about pirating.
Use Firefox with uBlock Origin and additional privacy add-ons such as PrivacyBadger, TrackMeNot, etc.
Free VPNs are out there. Get one - but vet it’s efficacy. My go-tos are Proton VPN, or Windscribe if you plan to do a bit of torrenting.
What is torrenting? How does it work? Here’s a guide!
Back to streaming -
Make sure that a) you’ve got your Mozilla browser with all its adblocking private glory, and b) you’ve got a VPN turned on to hide what you’re doing in that browser from your ISP (internet service provider).
Now you need to actually find a site to stream from. This is the tricky part, because openly sharing these sites will get them taken down if they’re talked about widely enough. (Remember how tiktok idiots got zlibrary taken down?)
You’re going to have to talk to people on forums. You’re going to have to experiment with sites you find yourself. Search for ‘x online free’ and look at the links that come up - is the preview text mangled or clickbaitey? Are there Reddit threads about that website confirming or denying its content? A good rule of thumb is to ignore the top result or two - copycats of good streaming sites will often buy out the top result spot. Eventually, you’ll develop a good gut feeling and understanding of what a good site ‘looks like’ from the results page alone.
However, there are some places that compile good sites that haven’t been nuked by lawyers (yet) - check out r/FMHY! The masterposts are actively curated and updated when a site goes down or is found to have malicious downloads.
Remember - loose lips sink ships. No tweeting (xeeting?) or Facebook statuses about your new favorite piracy website and where you found it. Even posting to tumblr (kind of like this…) isn’t a great idea if you want those websites to stay under the radar and stay accessible. Nobody talks, everybody walks (away with their share of pirate booty)
If you aren’t downloading media, pick pretty much any site and watch away! Adblock and Firefox will keep away pop-ups and other annoying ads, and your VPN means your ISP can’t tell that you’re visiting an unofficial streaming service.
Note: In my experience, I’ve never heard of visiting a site and watching stuff on it infecting or otherwise compromising your computer. That tends to come from misclicks on invisible or overwhelming pop-up ads that redirect you to an automatic download or similarly malicious bullshit. If you’re using Firefox and uBlock, you shouldn’t be in any danger of an accidental redirect.
Downloads - “I want to keep xyz”
This is the realm of pirate archiving - you’re keeping files physically on your hard drive, an external hard drive, or burning a disk.
Adblock + Firefox browser? Check. VPN on? Check.
Go to your streaming site of choice - most if not all have download options. You can download those files or, manually, right click and save the video file from the webpage as an mp4. I honestly don’t know if there’s a difference in quality or more danger in clicking the download buttons, but regardless -
Run that puppy through VirusTotal.com! It’s a reliable browser based virus checker - if the file is too large, use a local virus checking program (your native Windows Defender on Windows computers or, I prefer, Malwarebytes)
Generally mp4 and mp3 files are clean - choose where to save them for the long term, and bam! Free forever media.
Optionally, I also upload mp4 files to a named Google document - this way I can easily share them or make them findable through a ‘xyz Google doc’ search for others :]
Torrents - “I want to keep and share xyz”
I’m not going to go into this subject in depth because, honestly, it’s not something I do regularly.
See the previously linked Torrenting guide for information on how the process works, and check out r/FMHY for recommendations and warnings about different torrenting clients (I’ve personally only used qBittorrent - I’ve heard to stay away from the Pirate Bay and Bittorrent.)
As with streaming, turn on that VPN baby! You’re going to need one that supports peer-to-peer (p2p) connections, so Proton’s free version is a no-go. Windscribe is what I’ve used for torrenting (and it’s a good free VPN on its own - I’m just partial to Proton). You get 10GB every month on Windscribe’s free version, which is more than enough for a few movies/a season or two of your favorite show.
(Bigger torrents like video games are easily 30+ GB, so be prepared to either pay for a no-limit premium account or spend a few months downloading your files in chunks.)
VPN on? Double check.
Boot up your torrenting client - I use a slightly out of date version of qBittorent, but there are other options. The Reddit thread and previously linked torrenting guide have a few dos and donts of selecting a client, so be thorough before you download your client of choice.
This is getting into the logistics of torrenting a bit, so forgive me if this is vague or incorrect, but now you need a torrent seed. These will be .tor files found through pirating websites or archives - these are rarely malicious, but it’s good to run any piracy related download through something like VirusTotal.com or scan it with a local program like Malwarebytes.
You open your seed file in your client and wait. A ‘healthy’ seed tends to have lots of seeders and few leeches, but sometimes you’re stuck with an obscure seed you just have to wait for.
Your torrented files have fully downloaded! Now what? a) keep your client open and seed those files for others as long as you want to - sharing is caring! and b) run those files through a security program like Malwarebytes (not sponsored it’s just the only program I’m familiar with).
Be wary of what gets flagged - sometimes the files seem important, but are just trojans, and likewise sometimes they seem malicious, but are just cracked software getting flagged by your system. It’s good to check and see if others have had a problem with this particular torrent before - Reddit threads from 2008 are your long dead friends.
And that’s about it. Feel free to correct me if anything I’ve recommended is malicious or outright wrong. I’ve been doing this for years and haven’t had an active problem to my knowledge, so if there is something fishy with how I do things, I am a statistical outlier and should not be counted.
I wish you smooth sailing and strong winds in your ventures me hearties!
Obligatory ‘don’t pirate small author’s or artist’s works what the fuck dude’ statement.

🎃WITCH-TOBER💐
Tumblr media
hey witches (or whatever term you prefer!)! the spookiest season is fast approaching, and so i wanted to put together a little list of something witchy you can do for each day of our favourite month! majority are low key, and feel free to do all, some or none of the activities - whatever suits you best, this is just a fun way to introduce witchcraft into your month.
do a tarot/oracle/rune/etc spread for the month of october (i’ll post a “new month spread” very soon!)
write out your goals for the month - witchy and not. maybe you want to try journaling more frequently, meditation, going for walks, drinking more water or cooking some meals at home!
write about a new topic in your grimoire/BoS - this could be a topic you’ve been interested in for a while or something totally left field. you never stop learning as a witch!
try learning about your ancestors. this can be hard for many (difficult family relations, not knowing biological families, the like), however if you can find a family name that’s always a great place to start!
spend time in nature/connecting to nature spirits. going and talking to the trees is so incredibly beneficial, especially if you need to talk about something you feel you can’t open up to a person about. the trees, the ocean, the forest and the mountains are always happy to listen to us
create a new candle - sounds hard, but it’s a lot easier than you think! i love making seasonal candles by taking a store bought, plain candle, then dressing it with oil and some herbs. bonus points for using herbs associated with fall/spring (depending on where you live!)
do a manifestation spell with the waxing moon! this can be as elaborate as a full ritual, or as simple as writing your manifestations on a bay leaf/piece of paper and burning it.
witch-ify your beverages! adding intention into your coffee, tea, water or any other drink you prefer is super effective witchcraft! you can also add things to your drink, such as honey for attraction, cinnamon for abundance, or sugar for sweetness (taste wise too)!
i’m really big on cooking seasonally, so if you can, try and cook or bake (even just throw together some things into a sandwich!) using some seasonal ingredients (i.e, pumpkins, root vegetables, stuff like that) in a meal today
happy full moon! don’t forget to cleanse and recharge your crystals, decks, and of course, yourself today. maybe put out some water to creat some moon water!
refresh your altar if you have one - maybe give it a good wipe down with some moon water (or just normal water!), cleanse it and redecorate it however you like
create a new sigil today, either creating one of your own design or using an online generator (like this one!) for prosperity, abundance, protection, whatever you like! use in your craft however it suits you
do some shadow work - i recently posted a 30 days of shadow work challenge, so you could try a prompt from that list or any you find!
try giving an offering to a deity, ancestor or spirit you work with or are wanting to connect to. this can be as simple as offering a portion of your food to them, or an entire ritual dedicated to them - whatever works best for you!
look into your astrology! if you’ve never looked at your chart before, there are lots of different websites that can do it such as this one, and they’ll give you a pretty in-depth dissection of your chart!
cleanse your space - either with a smoke method, sound, a spray, or visualisation!
try doing some mindful movement - this can also work as a meditative practice! this includes walking, yoga, running, or weight training. set your intention first, then see how you go!
find out some local lore of the town you live in! it’s often a lot more interesting than you think. i also love to learn about local native plants in my area that i can then use in my craft!
refresh any wards your have set up if you have them, or if you don’t, now is a great time to set one up! they can be very simple or complex depending on the method you choose, and there are several great posts on here about them!
as the moon wanes (gets smaller!), now is the perfect time to do some releasing. write anything you want to let go of - people, things, attachments, etc. - on a piece of paper and burn it or otherwise dispose of it
read a new witchy book - don’t sleep on your local libraries! there’s also plenty of pdf books about witchcraft topics online if you can’t get your hands on
make a spell jar! this kind of magick is super fun, relatively simple, and can be done quickly with items you already have. any jar is suitable, such as the jar from your pasta sauce, not just the aesthetic ones you see on tiktok! add your ingredients along with your intent, seal with wax from a candle and set it wherever suits the intention.
practice some grounding. place your bare feet on some soil or grass, or even hold some soil if you don’t have access to natural ground today. visualise roots growing from the centre of the earth towards you, and from the centre of you towards the earth. see them intertwine and let mother earth ease your physical, spiritual, and mental struggles, pain or heavy emotions
visit a cemetery if you have one close by. you don’t need to go to one holding someone you know, it’s still just as meaningful to visit a new one you’ve never been to (a post soon coming on what to do when visiting a graveyard!)
put together a witchy playlist! this can be for your walk or to start your day, to listen whilst you practice/divine, or just to play to help you feel a bit better. if you don’t want to make your own, you can always just listen to one someone else has curated!
make a cleansing scrub - all you really need is some salt (medium-ground works well for scrubs!), any oil of your choosing, and some herbs if you choose. make sure anything you add is body safe!!! set your intention whilst using and allow the scrub to cleanse away any spiritual “dirt” you’ve accumulated
enchant a piece of jewellery! can be a ring, a necklace, bracelet, a pair of earrings, or even bobby pins used in your hair
write a gratitude list. get specific and write as many individual things as you can!
reflect on the goals you wrote down at the start of the month. have you achieved them? why/why not? is there something you achieved that you didn’t write down that you’re proud of?
do some protection magick. the spirit/earthly worlds are growing closer now, so some extra protection can never hurt!
happy Samhain/Beltane/Halloween! the veil is thin today, so now is the perfect time to reach out to spirits (safely of course!) and try a (potentially new) form of divination!
i hope this gives you some ideas for witchy things to do this month! just as a reminder, your craft is so personal to you, please don’t let me or anyone else ever tell you what you should or shouldn’t be doing in your craft (unless you’re taking from closed practices - DONT DO THAT). never feel bad for not having the energy or not being able to partake in a certain activity. you are always a witch, no matter how you practice.
love always, taylah. 🤍

ANOTHER 'FELICITY-HATE' RANT. THERE ARE QUOTES SO DON'T READ IF YOU'RE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH READING HATEFUL COMMENTS!!!
[quotes]
"How I hate this moron. It's been a long time since there was such a crappy [i couldn't find accurate translation for English language, sorry. in my native language it is meant to be even more insulting] character in the series."
"did you know that the actress playing that whiney felicity is only 24 years old? i would give her at least 30 some"
"Best Arrow ending so far. I was moved. It was just too good to be true. Our dear Felicity is finally up out of her wheelchair and walking on her own. She will finally be able to fall down the stairs and break her neck."
"- Oliver really needs to start killing people again.  - Starting with Felicity."
"THIS FELICITY IS THE WORST CHARACTER I HAVE EVER WATCHED SERIOUSLY AND THE ACTOR IS A COMPLETE WOOD" "Felicity's character used to be pretty cool, but after the last episode even I wouldn't mind if she flew out the window"
[quotes]
just a few "lighter" examples from my own playground (Arrow fandom from my country) (i knew i shouldn't even visit this website with films/tv shows and its Arrow page. i know this part of this website's community all too well) and i'm sorry because i usually try not to generalize but all of this was written by men of course (and i know this; in my language you're using form of verb which indicates your sex) and some other person wrote something which in this particular case i agree with: "why nobody likes felicity" thread
"Because she helped defeat Slade and that's basically where it started. HOW DARE an IT girl in a ponytail and stilettos have the nerve to humiliate the great Deathstroak like that. She started to be hated when she became more independent and strong. Annoying when her opinion actually mattered and her decisions affected the plot and the main character. And already when she put HER in the first place for the first time is already a chapel. This is no accident. Still too many guys feel threatened by "strong female characters" and that's the problem. And it's that kind of strong, in a way that can be applied more to "real" life."
there are maaanyy reasons why people can hate felicity (or every other character) but i think that in the most part these are the guys who don't like a strong female character, who actually has an opinion that affects the plot, her opinion counts, oliver or/and digg [so men of the show] listen to her opinion etc. it's somehow wrong, right? she should be just 'nerding in the corner' or something. and she's not a human being, so she's not entitled to human emotions. [BAN EMOTIONS!] she also can't make mistake, right? right.
and i know that in season 4 we can have strongly different opinions about the break up [i think we ALL can at least agree that this drama was so unnecessary ech] but i saw all too many men just hating on felicity because HOW DARE SHE DUMP A MAN WHO DIDN'T TELL HER ABOUT HIS SON KEPT SECRETS FROM HER LIED TO HER FACE FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS DIDN'T LEAN ON HER WANTED TO LIVE ON AN ISLAND ALL OVER AGAIN - ALONE [...] HOW DARE SHE, STUPID WOMAN! yeah, so there's no 'okay, so i don't agree with her, but maybe she has her point. maybe he hurt her, maybe she couldn't be with him after that. or maybe she just run, because she was scared, or maybe she wanted partnership from him, she wanted to be a team [...], or maybe she's just a human and-blah blah blah". NO! she's stupid, how dare she, but at the same time - it's kinda good because now writers can un-alive her somehow, and show will be great again! yupi!
yeah, so amazing
so when i did this GIGANTIC rant yesterday or- when i wrote this rant, again? doesn't matter, anyway- i was writing about this kind of hate. maybe less insults and more "i think she shouldn't leave him because-[...] and it affects my opinion of her- blah bla blah something-something" and i would be cool with it even if felicity is your least favourite character of the series. it's cool! you don't have to love her, you don't have to like her or tolerate her, but stop hating like t h a t
//also, i wanted to apologise for the sound of my rants. i know they can be "passive-aggressive" and sarcastic (can't help myself, sorry) but i saw this hate too many times and had bottling everything up in me and now i just can't help it and be a little too much on the offensive[??] sorry about that, really. all of this is just frustrating. so sorry
AND I KNOW I SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS TO MYSELF AND READING ALL THESE COMMENTS BUT SOMETIMES MY EYES DISCONNECT FROM MY BRAIN OR SOMETHING OR MAYBE I'M A MASOCHIST IDK nevertheless, these comments exist, and this knowledge is sad for me, welp
stay safe, stay strong 💜

Hold it Down
Tumblr media
Working in a restaurant wasn't the ideal lifestyle you wanted but it paid the bills and kept you afloat while you continued to pursue higher education. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for your sensitive feet.
It was typical to have some pain after standing for so long but after months of buying new shoes, socks, and foot gels, nothing seemed to work.
Opening the front door to your shared apartment, your eyes meet piercing blue ones. Annie laid draped over the half end of the couch, one leg on the ground, the other resting on the piece of furniture. She had one arm over the back of the couch, the limb swinging back and forth if you paid close attention while the ither held the tv remote. It looked like she had a busy day.
"You're a bit earlier than usual," she started off, "how was work?"
You groan dramatically before jumping face forward into the soft cushions next her. Her face is unfazed.
You answered her question but all that could come out was a muffled response due to your face being stuffed into the comforter.
“Yeah, I didn’t understand any of that so I’m guessing it was good.”
Huffing, you lift your head up to meet her eyes.
“It was terrible. I had to serve a family of eight. Do you know how annoying it is to have eight people ask what’s on the menu when they have the piece of paper in their hands?” you flip your body, back now supported by the pillows and cushions Annie adjusted hours prior.
You scoot closer to the smaller woman, moving your head so it can rest in her lap. She plays with your messy hair as you continue ranting.
“Don’t even get me started on the number of times I had to run from the kitchen to the table because they didn’t ask for pickles. They could have just picked them out!” You grumble in annoyance.
“oh no, not the pickles. How could you serve them pickles?” she teases you. You respond by throwing a pillow in her direction. Of course, there was no effort in the throw so she pushes it away effortlessly.
“Shut up, it doesn’t help that my feet hurt.”
Snuggling closer to the blonde, you yawn and stretch your body. She laughs as she moves you both into a more comfortable position, her backside resting along with the couch head, and moves a pillow to rest on her lap so your neck wouldn’t be stiff.
“Have you tried those foot gels I bought for you? They had really good reviews on the website.”
You nod against her legs. “Yeah, but you know how sensitive my feet are. They just never seem to stop hurting.” She hums in agreement and continues to play with your hair. You’re nearly on the edge of falling asleep when she taps your head.
“Don’t fall asleep on me. I have to get up in a minute.”
“For what? Stay on the couch with me for a little longer.” You whined and pouted, giving the best sad dog eyes as you could.
She rolled her eyes, not even the slightest bit convinced, and carefully placed your head away from her legs before standing up.
“I want to make this recipe I saw for dinner since you’re obviously exhausted.”
Your arms stretch towards her, telling the blonde that you wanted her in your embrace. She simple stares at your figure before cracking a small smile before bending down to kiss your forehead.
“Give me about an hour and we can cuddle on the couch for as long as you want.” you groan but agree. After she leaves, you doze off, completely losing yourself to the exhaustion.
It isn’t too long when she wakes you up, pleasure shutting throughout your body when your feet begin feeling slight pressure. you open your eyes and you’re greeted with an odd sight.
Annie had taken the liberty to strip you of your shoes and now, she was gently messaging the soles of your feet. She hadn’t noticed you stirred awake so you take the sight in for as long as you can. Her brows knitted together and her eyes were slowly trained on your feet. She looks beautiful, you think to yourself.
You give it a few more minutes before you speak up, “ I have never seen you so focused on a pair of feet, it has me thinking you have some kind of foot fetish.”
You’re laughing until she huffs and throws your feet off of her lap.
“you’re such an ass …”
“Wait! Babe, I was kidding, come back!"
Annie was gone, her figure disappearing into the kitchen. She let you poke at her at times yet this time she wasn't too pleased with your comment.
Ten minutes pass by when you realize she won't come back out so you muster all your strength to get off the cozy couch and saunter into the small space. There, by the stove, stood Annie with her back to you stirring the mysterious contents in the pot.
You lean against the doorframe before speaking.
" I'm sorry if I offended you, " pushing yourself off the frame, you come closer and envelop her into a hug from behind, " I meant to say thank you for doing soething so thoughtful - "
she cuts you off, " and disgusting."
You roll your eyes before continuing, " and disgusting but I want you to know that I really appreciate and love you. "
she ponders for a few seconds before mumbling a I love you too.
"Get off of me now, your stubble is making my neck itch."
" My stubble isn't anywhere near you!"
You both continue to banter for the rest of the night, indulging in the lightheartedness of the conversations.

Eyy, first off shanah tovah if you or any loved ones are celebrating!
Was wondering what kinds of resources you might have on arborism (arboriculture? Is that a word) and tree maintenance? I know at least in the US the official profession is one of the ones with the higher mortality rates but idk much about it like... Besides don't cut off the main trunk at the top 'cause it'll grow weird after that, and it's probably better to plant native trees??
First off, sorry it took so long to get to this! Since I don’t currently have trees to care for right now, my tree care resources are all over the place and it took me a bit to track them down.
Arboriculture is actually a word, but it’s generally used by tree care professionals. If you google it, you’ll find a lot of people offering tree care services, but not a lot about how to actually do it yourself. There’s a lot of different topics when it comes to trees, depending on your location, what kind of trees you’re working with, and what you want to do, but here are some of my favorite beginner resources:
Trees Are Good - An educational website run by the International Society of Arboriculture. I’ve linked directly to their page of resources for tree owners, which has most of their tree care information.
Tree Care Tips & Techniques from the Arbor Day Foundation. Basically a tree care masterpost, including videos for specific techniques and links for further reading.
Tree Owner’s Manual for the Northeastern and Midwestern United States. This is a publication from the US Forest Service. It’s denser and a lot less enjoyable reading than any of the other resources, but it’s also extremely thorough. (I haven’t been able to track down a tree owner’s manual for any other US areas, but even if you life outside the Northeastern/Midwestern US many of the fundamentals are the same.)
Oregon State University’s extension service has a website full of resources about tree care. So does the University of Florida’s extension service. Extension services in general are awesome resources when it comes to growing things. They can answer specific questions and often have educational programs to learn more about topics, and it will all be relevant to your local area. I highly recommend tracking down your local university or county extension office and seeing what resources they offer.
I hope that helps, or at least gives you a starting point!

hey fellas this is the cringe website, so I'm gonna go on record real quick okay? I just watched all the willy wonka movies (1971, 2005, 2023) and I NEED to rant about it. Also, I don't really know if we need a warning for this, but I go on a rant about the 2005 one being kinda racist/weird/groomer-ish so there's like a warning i guess.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Novel, 1964): Never read it
Have not read the book. Coming out and saying that now, just to be like, transparent or whatevr.
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971): Banger, 10/10
My dad put this on one night (after he had watched both the 1971 movie and the 2005 one) and made me watch it. I had never seen it before and was waiting for some cringey dated 70's humor, maybe even a slur or something, but uh, nope. Gene Wilder was delivering every line with right amount of crazy person energy, without feeling creepy (at least to me). The bits were funny, and (again from my casual viewing) inoffensive. Some of the songs were boring, but when the obvious bangers played, I was hooked. The Oompa-Loompas were pretty funny, and never overstayed their welcome. The focus of this movie is mostly Charlie and Wonka, which is fair considering that's what the book is about (I think like I said I actually never read the book) Far as I am remembering, it was good, clean, killing(?) kids with candy fun.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(2005): Dogshit film, 3/10
Fucking HATED this shit! The like, Native people direction they took with the Oompa-Loompas??? Omg, every scene felt like a FUCKING hate crime! And their songs were mid, I especially cringed during the first one and the last one. And Johnny Depp does that fucking horrible like.... battle cry thingy to call them as opposed to using the gay-ass little flute Gene Wilder Wonka did???? And the Oompa-Loompas keep doing this like, hands crossed over the chest salute thing? And they row a big boat, with a big drum keeping the rythm? Like WHY are they like this in the movie? And they aren't orange and green and silly anymore, they're just like dark skinned guys? With black hair? Which Idk, would've been an alright change i guess, if they didn't also do a whole scene where William Wanking is running thorugh the jungle in his teddy roselvelte ass outfit, and the oompa-loompas like don't speak english, do "silly" tribal dances to summon cocoa beans or something? and eat bugs???? like that's..... certainly a choice for the film.... And it's even grosser cause in both films mr. wilfred wonder or whatever refers to loompa land as like a horrid place to live or whatever, but when Gene Wilder said it, it kinda felt more like "yeah these little orange dudes get eaten by monsters and shit" and when Johnny Depp says it, it's like "yeah, they lived in a STINKY GROSS PLACE IN TREE HUTS AND THEY WERE POOR!!!! AND GRODY!!!!! Ewww, but after I stripped them of that culture and made them live in my factory, their lives are better now" idk super super weird to me. He also does a scene where the joke is he's just using like AAVE i think? He's like "ARe you hip to it? Are you jive? Slide me some skin, soul-brother!" and like, fucking stop, stop talking like that even if it isn't offensive, it's sure as hell cringey to hear a white, bill cipher human design looking mother fucker to start saying some bull shit like that. And the scene of uh, Violet or whatever getting turned into a blueberry???????? Straight up felt like inflation porn on DeviantArt! She gets big like ass first, and even looks at her ass like "oh dam I'm getting caked up" LIKE SIR THIS IS A CHILD! Same with the scene of Veruca Salt getting attacked by squirrels it felt so fetishy and weird idk. and also this version of WOnka is giving soma MAJOR OVERT Groomer/PEdo vibes like it's SOOOO Fucking gross I hated this movie. And all the Willy Wanker flashbacks are so boring and unessecary. Like shut up. There's just a bunch of scenes like that where I'm like "was this in the book or something?" Like the scene where he builds chocolate palace for a guy in India (complete with the typical 2005 depiction of an Indian man and woman i.e. the head turban things and a very pronounced accent, also the palace was just like chocolate Taj Mahal I'm pretty sure but whatever) but the chocolate melts (and drops on his forhead, between his eye brows. Y'lnow? Get it? Cause the... they have the dot.... thing... like SHUT UP IT'S NOT FUNNY) There was some funny lines, and I thought it was funny that Charlie was played by the dude who plays the Good Doctor (my dad was like "I couldn't watch it without thinking about he was going to say he was a surgeon), but every other scene felt almost illegal to watch. ALSO they drop the R-slur in this movie, which doesn't surprise me considering it was 2205, but if the film from the 70's sexulized the children less, had no slurs in it??? like ok, why are we adding offensive stuff to the equation of this children's movie?
Wonka (2023): Went in as a hater, came out as a fan 8/10
I was like "Who asked for this movie? Do we need another willy wonka movie??" But, I was pleasantly surprised. It had a lot of heart, the effect were pretty nice, I liked the characters. I guess they were given permission or something by Roald Dahl's family or something (i watched a behind the scenes thing, but i don't remember much about it) to do some new stuff with the Wonka character. So a lot of the characters are new, or heavily expanded on. I thought the humor really matched the 1971 film, a lot of funny bits. Timothee Chalamet, who isn't my favorite guy, was surprisingly charming as Wonka, I was ready to be rolling my eyes every time he said something. But, again, he was actually pretty silly, with the sort of seeds planted for him to turn into the Gene Wilder version of Wonka. The kid, Noodle, was also pretty silly. I liked the dynamic between her and William Wonkilla, it felt significantly more wholesome and WAYYY less creepy than anything in the Johnny Depp version. There's also a dead mom backstory for Wanker, and I'm a sucker for that sort of over done cringe, so yeah, I might've gotten like... a little emotional. They made the Oompa-Loompa(s) orange again, and they do the old oompa-loompa song! Pretty pleased with that as well, especially after the painful experience that was the 2005 version of Wonking. Me, my sister, and my dad were all surprised by how much we like this new one, even though I still don't think it was necessary? But again, welcome surprise. Omfg, also, in the BTS thing we watched, there was this sort of unspoken shade being thrown at the 2005 one like there was one guy who was like "Y'know, it's sort of a daunting task because so many great actors have played this character. Y'know, you got Gene Wilder. And now we have Timothee Chalamet- LIKE WOW OKAY DAMN NOT EVEN GONNA SAY HIS NAME!!!! And then also one of the guys, the director or something was like "You can't have a willy wonka movie without Oompa-Loompas, and when I think of oompa-loompas I think orange skin, green hair, you know, funny dances moves" Like, we know what an Oompa-Loompa is.... Why're you mentioning this? Unless, of course, there was a film that went a really weird and uncomfortable route with portraying the Oompa-Loompas?????? OH, like the 2005 one!
The only thing I will say I didn't love with my whole heart was there are a lot of fat jokes. like, there's a cop who puts on a lot of weight throughout the film and it's a little juvenile and sorta dumb and overdone, but I guess I understand the sort of thing they're trying to say? Like, he's getting fat because he's eating chocolate that he's being bribed with, so it's like, he's corrupted or whatever, but idk, i don't love the fat jokes. Still, the character is pretty funny.
So yeah, that's my analysis or whatever. I had a lot of fun watching the movies. The release order is how you should watch them lol. The 1971 movie is a classic, you'll watch it a realize you know more about the movie than you thought, just due to pop culture. The 2005 one, you'll probably recognize some sound bits and some of the soundtrack (if you were on tiktok) but most likely, you'll be annoyed and baffled by the changes they made. And THEN you watch the new one, ready for some cringe, and they hit you with a surprisingly cute and wholesome story that sort of destroys all the cringe the 2005 movie gave you.

What ad and tracking blockers do you use for your phone? I’ve been wanting to download some but they always look a bit sketchy
So there are two main types of blockers: blockers that run at network level and blockers that run in the browser (actually browser blockers have two types as well, some that just hide the ads, and some that block them from loading in the first place).
you can try this page as a test to see what type of things are currently blocked (if you’re using Firefox you might get some blocking already) https://d3ward.github.io/toolz/adblock.html
I have don’t actually run anything on my phone, instead I have a DNS server running on my router that uses a blocklist so any request to load ads or tracking gets blocked at my router (there’s a few versions of this but most popular is pi-hole).
The benefits of this approach is:
Automatically works for all devices on network (I have 21 devices on my home network so this is important for me!)
completely local (no reliance on any third party service and very very fast)
no subscription/recurring costs
completely configurable to add/remove certain websites services as desired
Disadvantages:
Only local network (if I’m on cellular I don’t get any protection)
more complex to set up
you have to buy some hardware like a raspberry pi (about $60)
Dosn’t block ads in video like YouTube
But here are some other good options:
Instead of running your own dns server locally you could use a third party DNS server (you already are, but you can switch to use one that also does blocking).
Some of these DNS services might be paid or free, and some of them might harvest your data :/ some might also not have the resources to run a free fast DNS so might block ads but might slow down a bit, and the free options are also not configurable. I think a trustworthy free public DNS option is AdGuard DNS.
If you use desktop (or android), I think the best option is uBlock Origin which runs in the browser. It’s free, open source, trustworthy but not supported by iOS (yet, maybe in the future). The main benefit of browser based blockers like uBlock origin is that I think they are more successful at blocking ads in videos like YouTube (although I think YouTube is always fighting against that so not sure who’s winning right now).
If you’re using iOS, AdGuard also has a native iOS blocking app which will be faster, but unfortunately isn’t free and I honestly can’t make sense of their pricing structure, but I did search and see you can get a lifetime license for $20 here which probably makes sense over a monthly subscription.
it’s a lot of info to take in!
if you’re using a desktop browser (or android) I’d start with uBlock Origin.
if you’re on iOS, I would probably start with their free AdGuard DNS option first and see how fast it is, and if not great maybe try their paid app.

do u know of any resources for balkan folk magic & witchcraft?
Hi nonny!
The balkan region isn't my area of expertise but I do have a few things that you may find helpful.
This post from @junipersprigs
The author Radomir Ristic published 2 books on Balkan witchcraft before he passed away. I own "Balkan Traditional Witchcraft" by him & it's got a decent amount of information and a bibliography. I assume his other book is the same way.
This YouTube channel was run by a lady from Serbia. Sadly she also passed away a few years ago, so there aren't any new uploads.
There are also little documentaries on YouTube like this that might have good bits of info in them. (Take everything in it with a grain of salt especially because it's produced by Vice🤢).
I'd also check Academia.edu, Jstor & a lot of folk and ethnography museums have websites with a board of academics who publish their research. If it's behind a pay wall, it cant hurt to track down the author & just ask if they'd be willing to send you a copy to read. A lot of the times they're more than happy to & if you can definitely donate some money to them to support their work.
Following tags like "Croatian folklore" or "Serbian witchcraft" here on Tumblr, IG & other social media platforms could be helpful too & you'll likely find other practioners who could help you more than I can. Translating those keywords into that native language & saving those helps too. For example, I have both "Ведьма" & the English spelling "Vedma" saved which means "witch" in Russian. Hopefully I explained that in a way that makes sense.
Also learning the language & using the web browser most common in whichever country/region will be better than using Google.
I'm a big advocate for reading the work of folklorists, ethnographers & other professionals rather than Wiccanized New Agey garbage. Learning from the people who live and breathe the practice is probably the best way. So, if you're able to, find a practioner near you who'd be willing to teach you. If you cant but you have ancestors from that region, I'd highly recommend asking them to help you. There's gotta be at least 1 person in your bloodline who's willing to.
This was kinda rambly but that's all I got. I hope this helped give you a good place to start. If anyone wants to add more resources to this post, please feel free to.

Full chapter 3 under the cut
Chapter III:
Darkness was everywhere—damp, cold, lonely. Every few seconds or every few years, he could not tell which, he would try to escape or open his eyes only to be met with the same abyss as before. It would have been comforting if not for his mind constantly whirring in agony.
He wanted out. He wanted to see something else. He knew he was supposed to be somewhere but he had neither legs to run nor arms to crawl. He was stuck, motionless, until madness set in.
He remembered hoping it would take him soon.
Then, a light. Warmth.
The air was still cool around him but not as empty as it once was. He felt breath in him and a low thumping from deep within.
He had a body.
Arms and legs.
A heart, a brain, lungs, and…and blood.
He pushed forward, amazed that something different was happening. All the times before he had tried to accomplish movement, he had been perpetually stuck. Now, when he thought of sitting, he could sit. Weight shifted and he felt heavy but in a good way.
It took some time for his eyes to adjust and, for a long while, he could only see the light with vague shapes passing in front of it. His ears started to function before his eyes properly caught up.
“So, who is it?” A high, nasally voice asked.
He was not so sure, himself. His brain ached and, while it was a blessing to even have one again, he found it woefully empty. Who am I? He asked and waited for an answer. Nothing.
“My dear,” a new voice, coming from behind, replied. Soon after, there was a hand on his shoulder. Feeling touch was new and dearly missed though he could not recall any time he had been touched before. “It is the Xiang.”
The Xiang.
He did not know much but he knew that word. More started to come. Tiandi, Shakti, Chaaya, miasma. These were the forces that dictated the world and the Xiang was an important figure to bring balance. Was that who he was? Truly?
The figures in front of him started to clear up and vague shapes grew finer, sharper. A woman with brown hair and brown skin kneeled in front of him and looked up with a mixture of several emotions. Happiness was there, he thought, but perhaps disappointment as well?
The two blonde people standing behind her were both much harder to read. Their pale faces were like statues and their eyes, although cool and calming in color, were harsh and suspicious in expression. Perhaps they found him untrustworthy? He felt unwanted.
Unwelcome.
The owner of the hand on his shoulder came around and he caught a glimpse of their face. White skin with long black hair, tied back elegantly, and a silky smooth beard. Her eyes shined as she looked at him but her lips started to pull down.
Then the woman on the floor spoke. “I thought the Xiang was a woman? Merry or something?”
He felt a twinge of pain in his head as though things wanted to click into place and a memory wished to play but the tools for the task did not exist. He winced and looked down, taking in his body for the first time. He rested his hands on his lap and turned them, palm up. It was certainly a familiar sight but he could not place it anywhere. The depths of his mind still felt trapped in the void his body had escaped from.
“Merra,” the blonde male responded. He had a deep voice and it felt as cold as the stone floor.
“Ah, right. Merra.”
“She is a Xiang but there was one before her,” the bearded woman said, “You never met him because he did not make it to Enlil before they killed him. And, to keep things contained, you were not told of him and Merra was made to look like she had been Xiang the entire time.”
“Who killed him?” the blonde woman asked. Like her fellow blonde, her voice was rather deep and sharp.
Judging by what they wore, it was safe to guess they were guards, possibly of the royal variety considering the fact the two women in dresses looked quite regal and important.
“His own heavenly father,” the closest woman finally answered and her hand tightened on his shoulder. “They deemed him unworthy and they killed him. But, with the help of my partner and a year of planning, he is back.”
“He has Xiang abilities then?” the woman from the floor stood as she asked. She brushed off the front of her dress, caked white from the dust residue.
“Should.”
They all stared at him, as if expecting something. He tried to ask “what?” but all that came out was a croaked sound. A frown settled on his face as he tried again but nothing happened.
“He seems as dumb as the rest of them,” the blonde man said and crossed his arms, “Are you sure this one is different?”
“Is this the adjustment period?” the slightly dusty woman asked.
They turned their attention from him to the bearded woman. She sighed and then nodded. “It might be hard for him to speak for a while but I can at least gauge his state of mind.”
Just as she said it, she was in his face, blocking much of the light. She did look familiar but, no matter how hard he tried, he could not conjure up any memory of her.
“Pangu,” she said, directly at him. When all he did was blink and stare, her brows furrowed. “Pangu?”
“What is wrong?”
“He…” she visibly gulped and then grabbed both of his shoulders. “Pangu, do you remember who I am?”
He shook his head.
“Do you recognize the name Pangu?”
Again, he shook his head.
“What of Heidi? Raine? Kira? Baiya?”
After each, he shook his head. Even if his mind prickled and pinched at each name, he still had nothing.
“He has amnesia?” the female guard asked.
“It is common, especially after being dead for as long as he was,” the bearded woman said with a sigh, “I had hoped that my presence would spark something in him—that and keeping his body well preserved. It was supposed to keep the brain from deteriorating but it seems there is a disconnect with his soul. It is in there. I can sense it. But it isn’t…attaching.”
“What the fuck does that mean?” The tan woman, still a little dusty, stepped even closer. “Will he not be able to help me?”
“Adjustment period, your highness,” she reminded her, “In time he should be able to remember certain things. At least, he should be able to get reacquainted with his powers; which is all you need, right?”
So she was the royal, he confirmed as he looked at her. Aside from the mess on the front of her dress, she did exude the proper air. Her way of speaking was blunt and jagged but that could have merely been due to her company.
“So what do we do?” the female guard asked and walked over, next to the princess.
“Yes, Parvati, what should we do?” The royal woman looked to the bearded one.
The name Parvati also stirred something in him but he could have already guessed, based on how she spoke, that they should know one another. It was just nice to have a name and a face even if there was no feeling or memory attached.
“You keep him here and try to jog his memory. He is yours to do with as you please, after all.”
“True…” she hummed and then looked directly at him. With an aggressive finger, she poked him in a few key places and, as she did so, a grin started to pull at her lips. “He is in much better condition than the others. I can’t discredit that.”
“There are no parts hanging off…” the male guard muttered.
He immediately looked back down to his hands as if he would suddenly see a missing finger or rotting gash. Knowing that he was in a dead body was strange—he did not feel very dead but he knew he had been stirred from the void so it did make sense. He just wished he could remember what happened before there was nothing but darkness.
“There were only hanging appendages once,” the princess remarked with a roll of her eyes. She poked him a few more times and then held his face between her hands, squeezing. “Memory loss aside, this is pretty perfect. I should thank you, Parvati.”
“You should,” Parvati quickly agreed with a chuckle.
In a flash, the princess was in the woman’s arms, hugging her tightly. Her feet kicked up from the floor and even a few, small cracks were heard as her back popped. They both laughed and then parted.
“Thank you,” she finally said and walked back to the blonde woman’s side. “So, other than you, I guess Pangu does not know who any of us are.”
“He does not remember me,” Parvati said and then turned toward him, “So this is like our first time meeting. Pangu, I am Parvati…specifically, Sha-Parvati and we did not know one another for long but you did not strike me down when you had the chance. I felt a debt needed to be repaid so…here you are, back from the dead.”
“My turn,” the princess practically shoved her out of the way. She tucked back some of her brown hair behind her ear. “I am the princess of Enlil, Kim May Silla. These are my most trusted personal guards, Kim Fujin Don and Kim Kaz Don—no relation to me despite the family name.”
“I think he could figure that out by looking at us,” Kaz, the male guard, commented with a short look to the princess.
It was true that Pangu could have pieced it together on his own. Even if his memory was gone, he still had some reasoning skills. He was fairly certain anyway. He was familiar with the name Enlil and he knew it was a country—a place seeped in wind resonance in the south east of the continent. Above it was Kyrie, to the west was Terra and even farther west was Agni.
Not everything was gone.
“No need for sarcasm you human flask of medicine,” May grumbled, shoved him in the arm, and then turned back to Pangu. “Anyway, I brought you to life again so you can help me. My own family’s remains were used in the ritual so you have to do as I say but I will try not to be a terrible master.”
The spark in her eye as she spoke made Pangu nervous. He did not know what she would force him to do but he also did not know what he liked or what he did not like. Maybe she would not cross any boundaries.
“We will ensure that you are well taken care of,” Fujin assured him with the first smile he had seen from her.
“Does it even matter?” Kaz asked and gestured to Pangu. “He has no memory, he is technically dead. Does he have feelings or anything?”
All eyes went back to Parvati, the authority on the matter. She wrung her hands together and kept glancing to Pangu, unsure. “I…possibly? He should, so long as his soul settles back into place. Until then, he might seem distant or emotionless. But, again, with some time, everything should come together.”
“I trust you,” May stated but her eyes were fixed and firm. She would not easily forgive Parvati if she turned out to be incorrect.
It almost made Pangu want to be livelier, just for her sake. But he still could not talk. Another grumbled, half sigh of words came out but it sounded nothing like what he intended.
“He still cannot speak…” Parvati noted, disheartened.
“Maybe he will feel better in the morning?” Fujin offered, not sounding sure in the slightest. It was really just an effort to relax May.
The princess shrugged and threw her hands up into the air. “We can hope. I will be checking on him first thing.”
“You are not leaving him down here…are you?” Parvati asked and set her hand back on his shoulder.
“No, of course not.” May rolled her eyes all the way back into her head, flashing only white for a moment. “He will be staying in Kaz’s room.”
“What?!” The man shouted.
“Your room,” she repeated calmly. “No one will ever look in there. Ever. It is the best place.”
Kaz’s jaw set and slowly moved to the side as he clearly fought for what to say. “You want me…to keep a corpse in my room?”
“He is not rotting,” Parvati cut in.
“Come on, you need a friend anyway,” May stated with a laugh.
Even Fujin hid a smile behind her hand but Kaz looked as though he could chew through leather. Pangu felt even more unwelcome but he would have to stay wherever May said. The way he understood it, he would be forced to comply if it came down to it.

Controversy seizes the Latino collection of NFT Comedy Monster Club
Members of the Comedy Monster Club community have questioned the way the project has been developed.
Tumblr media
For several days, social networking site Twitter has been the place where investors in the Comedy Monster Club collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) began to express their disagreement with the project’s leadership.
The initiative was in the hands of Venezuelan comedian Roberto José Cardozo, known as Bobby Comedia, and two people, one of whom calls himself JD, in charge of the NFT marketplace development David Roa on the financial side.
Comedy Monster Club was born in November 2021 as a collection of 10,100 NFTs priced at 0.10 Ether (ETH) each, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network, as listed on their website.
Collectible owners will have access to comedy events, an exclusive podcast with guest comedians, financial benefits, and more.
However, according to several members of this community, the path of the project is nbsp; started going wrong last February — or at least that’s what Twitter user @epodotcom thinks, according to his account.
“February for me was the month when the problems started, because 3 months after the launch, the full house was not reached, and this is death for the NFT project. Owners are starting to ask questions and many are left unanswered,” @epodotcom explained on Dec. 12.
As the months go by, NFT owners start asking questions about the future of their investments, and some are kicked out of the Telegram group run by the Comedy Monster Club founders, according to @epodotcom. For @epodotcom, non-compliance by the people behind the project comes when there is a “leak of funds from the project’s community wallet”. According to investor testimony, the founders of Comedy Monster Club embezzled 239 ETH, which is $304,000, according to CriptoNoticias price calculator.
“That’s not counting credit card transactions, which are estimated within the community to be about $1.5 million, which has never been declared,” the investor said.
For his part, user @AleReyes indicated that the roadmap was not completed as promised. “The podcast, after all, wasn’t exclusive to the holders to sell more, so without NFTs, they could enjoy (the show).”
Comedy Monster Club Fights Back
Given the wave of complaints and complaints about the allegedly fraudulent project, Venezuelan comedian Bobby Comedia has decided to issue a statement in which he claims that he has fulfilled part of the obligations undertaken by the Comedy Monster Club.
In principle, he mentions that he has been left alone in charge of the project since November 9 last year by agreement with two other partners.
On the other hand, he assured that the club is “bound to comply” with the roadmap. As mentioned in the text, 7,660 of the 10,100 available NFTs have been mined. With the help of which a podcast was made, a comedy show in Caracas, a show in Colombia, contests and games in which 50 ETH were to be distributed, of which 14 ETH were delivered.
The comedian explained that only two items in the roadmap were omitted — nbsp; because not all NFTs were sold.
Bobby Comedy concluded the statement by stating that his intentions have not changed since the launch of the project and are to “unite Latin America through humor”.
you migt also be intrested in nft maketplace development service :
From a digital ticket office to monster NFTs
Bobby Comedia is a longtime comedian in Venezuela. He was one of the first generations to do stand up in the country, he had a career in the media and participated in several comedy workshops that trained several successful comedians.
All this experience has helped him to weave a good network of contacts that he has used for his ventures.
One of them is GoLiiive , a digital ticket office that grew strongly in the pandemic thanks to the fact that it was in charge of carrying out the event of the Venezuelan podcast Escuela de Nada that put thousands of people in a stream.
The success of GoLiiive made Bobby begin to rub shoulders with other investors in the region, a fundamental factor in creating his new project. And it is that the comedian was desperate to innovate. He wanted to start something new and couldn’t find what to get into and David Roa just appeared.
David is a Venezuelan investor dedicated to the crypto world who, in a business meeting, meets Bobby and, after gaining confidence, explains how NFT and cryptocurrencies work .
This is where it all starts. Bobby has the idea of combining NFT marketplace platform development with comedy and decides to pitch the idea to David and JD. After perfecting some details, Comedy Monster Club is born, a club based on NFT in which holders would receive benefits and could revalue their NFT over time.

How To Get Started With Google Adwords Spy Tool
Tumblr media
Google Ads has been extremely successful for businesses (Adwords). Even though taking the initial step sounds simple, many people hesitate when they see the requirements. You have to select a budget, make campaigns, bid on keywords, and use extensions.
The problem is this. Google Ads are effective, and you can get results very immediately. If you execute it correctly, you can start making fresh sales at the end of the first hour after getting up and running.
A Pay-Per-Click (PPC) system called Google Ads enables your company to show up in search results when consumers look up information about your goods or services.
We'll talk about using the Google AdWords Spy Tool to increase your company's visibility in this article. Here is a detailed tutorial on Google advertising.
Google AdWords Vs Google Ads
If you came looking for a Google AdWords tutorial since we mentioned "Google Ads" a few times, you are in the right place.
Google changed the name of its AdWords platform to Google Ads in the summer of 2018. As part of their effort to expand beyond merely text advertisements on Google searches, they changed the name of their brand. You can advertise through YouTube video integrations, display ads, and product listings across the platform.
Since "Google AdWords" is more widely known, we shall refer to it as it is instead of saying Google ads.
Benefits of Google AdWords
Adwords Works Faster Than SEO
Tumblr media
The primary advantage of Google AdWords is that it operates more quickly than SEO. Google AdWords and SEO are search engine marketing techniques for increasing traffic and leads. However, a well-optimized AdWords campaign can help a company achieve the much sought-after top spot in search results faster.
Here are some explanations for why it is quicker and more efficient.
You can concentrate on several keywords at once.
The campaign can be activated or deactivated whenever you desire.
Ads that appear at the top of the page are immediately visible.
Increase Brand Awareness
In addition to increasing traffic, clicks, and conversions, the Google AdWords spy tool also works well for spreading the word about your brand. To confirm this, Google and Ipsos collaborated to conduct research spanning 12 industries, from retail to the automotive industry. Using search engine marketing to increase top-of-mind awareness by an average of 6.6%.
Boost Our Sales by Taking Advantage of Gmail's Inbox
Email marketing is one of the most common marketing techniques used by businesses, thus Gmail advertisements may also be beneficial. With Google AdWords' integration of native Gmail advertising in September 2015, you can reach more prospects through their Gmail inbox.
Calculate Your Performance Consistently
Tumblr media
Traditional forms of advertising, such as those seen in publications like newspapers, radio, broadcast television, cable television, outdoor billboards, and pamphlets, are exceedingly challenging to evaluate. They are also far more expensive than Google AdWords.
AdWords, on the other hand, would provide detailed information about the campaign's performance. You'd be aware of:
Who made the click on your ad.
How many leads were produced?
How much traffic your website has received from AdWords.
Which keyword brought in the most visitors and prospects.
How much does each lead cost you?
Reconnect With Visitors Of Your Website
Reconnecting with your website visitors is one of Google AdWords' coolest features. Let me explain.
On your website, there may be people just browsing. These are those who have seen every page of your website without taking any further action. How can you help people remember who you are and what you can do for them? We now have an RLSA and Display Remarketing campaign and also an Instagram marketing campaign.
Tackle Your Competitor Better
Tumblr media
When a customer looks online for something connected to your goods or services and you aren't running advertisements but your rivals are, that spells disaster for you. You'll almost immediately lose business.
You must pay close attention to them to learn how they are advertising their company, what sorts of ads they are running, etc. You can accomplish this with the use of Google AdWords' open system. Seize the chances that present themselves so you may differentiate yourself from the competitors.
Explore Better Using Your Ads
Uncertain about the title? When you connect your Google ads update and Google Analytics accounts, as I indicated, there is a lot more to discover. Although AdWords is a fantastic tool, it won't tell you what individuals do after clicking the advertisements. Google Analytics, however, will clarify.
Length of time spent on a page by a visitor.
How many times has a page been viewed?
Your landing page's bounce rate.
Information on new and returning visitors, among other things.

Final Words
Lastly, we hope this article will help the readers to understand the Google AdWords spy tool the most. Because as we know Google ads are the most used ad network.
