1. First, compile a list of all your tasks. Take the time to make a full list and make sure that you don’t leave anything out. Don’t worry about the order just yet.

2. Understand each task completely. To do so, use the Who, What, When, Why, Where, How strategy. Ask yourself these questions

Who wants the work done 

What do they want to be done? 

When should the work be done? 

Why does it fit here? 

How will this work impact the deadlines of my other work

By using this process, you’ll fully understand what type of work is to be done, how you’ll do it as well as the time it will take.

3. Consider a few aspects. It can be difficult to prioritize when everything feels like a priority. So let’s break down each task and figure it out. You want to think about these aspects:

Importance: Consider the value. Take into account the positive results and what would happen if you didn’t complete it on time.  

Effort required: Consider the time and resources needed 

Urgency: Consider an upcoming deadline. What needs to be done today, in a week or two, a month?

4. Now rank your tasks. Use the table below as a guide. This way, you’ll be able to figure out which task should be your highest priority, your lowest and everything in between.

5.Set deadlines. Now that you’ve figured everything out. Set realistic deadlines and stick to them. Don’t use the same deadline that your teacher gave you. Aim to finish one or two days before that, maybe even less. But make sure you don’t rush.

6. Be flexible! You can try to plan everything, but somethings obstacles come in the way. You may forget your notes at school and have a power outage. So it’s important to be flexible and work around the issue. In case anything bad happens, re-prioritize and move on.

I’m lowkey irritated because, no, I did not miss yesterday, but tumblr failed to post what I had submited. >:( it’s okay, though, because it’s the same material as today. I’m working really hard on my Process Portfolio for IB Art, and I am determined to get a good score on the test!

I woke up feeling incredibly sick (couldn’t stand long enough to shower T A T) and nauseous, but I’m used to being sick like this. jessica: the smell after rain, amethyst earrings, dancing without any music, unused journals lined up in a bookshelf, keeping books in pristine condition, cherry lip balm, the nostalgia of hearing a song you loved in your childhood

Sooo in the coming 10 years, I'll be 25 *gasps* and my goals are :

1) Be a successful doctor /doc intern (well, at least get selected in one of the best med colleges)

2) Visit Paris and Japan, 2 of my favourite destinations to see since forever

3) Be happy and satisfied with my current lifestyle

4) Attend at least one concert in my life?

5) (successfully/failingly doesn't matter) Write a complete book which I'm happy with. And probs get it published?

6) Be fitter and healthier than the potato that I am right now smh

7) Make a super nice, best af friend who'll stay w/ me forever (like I want those BFF goals okay)

8) Be fluent in at least 2 new languages apart from what I'm learning rn

9) Be able to buy my mom smthn with my own money? Like smthn nice not those cheap ass cards srry

Thanks so much for tagging me, love! @languageduck Here are the answers for your questions (also sorry this is late):

1. Which do you like best, exams or assignments, and why? I like assignments the best! I feel like I can work on and with them better, and in my own time (well, kinda). I like that I won’t be as pressured, and I will definetly feel a lot better because I won’t stress as much! Favourite study music? preferably Hamilton: An American Musical, but if I feel like any lyrics will stress me out or distract me, I go with the SOUNDTRACK FOR STUDY playlist over at Spotify. I know this is kinda cliche or whatever, but I really like the instrumental, calm music. Also I listen to it if I need something soft in the backround whenever I’m reading! Number one goal at the moment Hm.. I would say get an A in Religion class, and in Social Science, but my mental and physical health is wayy more important at the moment. And if y'all wondering what I’m struggeling with it’s and eating disorder and severe anxiety. So my goal rn, I would say, is to get better and as healthy as I can! Do you have any pets? (tell me about them!) I DO!! I have a dog, a white Golden Retriever, named Draco. I absolutely LOVE him!! He’s 6 y/o and we got almost a year ago, as we saved him from being put down. He is the best! So fluffy! HE EVEN GOT CURLY FUR! A country you’d love to visit one day Hm, not sure about this. But I’d have to say France! I don’t speak French one bit, but I’m sure I’d manage. Also, I do have friends (and a boyfriend) who do speak the beautiful language, so if I bring them, I’ll be fine! A year of your life you wish you could go back to well… My life is something I’d rather not choose to re-live, but if I could go back to the start of this year, I would. I would fix some mistakes and get some very toxic people out of my life sooner (and try to make that B in A in that one class). If/when you have kids, would you push them to finish high school? I don’t want kids, but I would NEVER push them to finish - instead, I would support them along the way, and rather have them really want to finish so they can get a further education! What school-related thing gives you the most anxiety? Well, as I suffer from severe anxiety, everything makes me anxious. But that said, presentaions and other speaking-aloud-related things… What’s one thing you think everyone should read/listen to/watch? I don’t have a thing like that because I’d rather have people listen/read/watch it on their own will, instead of “forcing” them to do it and stripping them of a basic human right for a sec. Favourite fictional character at the moment NICO DE ANGELO OR TALLY YOUNGBLOOD, I CAN’T CHOOSE AAHHHH Favourite emoji at the moment / of all time the black heart because it’s dark and gloomy as well as loving, just as I am, I have heard!

@if-bts-studied + @thestudyfox + anonymous - glad you’re all so interested! My first reply to these did not publish because of bad signal, so let’s try this again. I’ll keep this kinda brief to prevent spoilers.

I gave it a high score because… Great characterization, wonderful exposition, good historical setting, great symbolism and motif creation, descriptive language, nice ending, awesome use of both setting and dialogue to characterize, great takeaway morals of the story.

I took off 2 points because… I’ll be frank, it’s difficult to read. Hawthorne likes to overinflate his language, which is saying something because he comes from a time where “pretentious” to us is normal for him. He spends so much time describing one important detail that you get lost, and there were times when I had to reread a single paragraph 4-5 times (and if that failed, read it out loud to my boyfriend) just to properly understand what happened. But it was worth it!

I definitely recommend this if you like classic literature, historical fiction, and/or complex characters. I do not recommend if you are not a patient reader.

I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)! which makes me get sick pretty often. it’s often triggered by my food consumption - and I think I must have eaten something yesterday I shouldn’t have, which is why my stomach is bothering me so much. but I’ve gotten used to it over the years - I’ve had it for a little over 12 years - but I’m just glad I was sick today, instead of a day where I had work.
