I will make no excuses. This is the biggest example of self indulgent art ive done since my birthday last year. I have no fucking clue what au this is. I jsut wanted to draw Sabo as a sheep, Ace as slutty and greasy as i could with him still being hot in my eyes, and luffy with adorable little bear ears. Also that shading on luffy’s pic was really fun to make.

I had a physical reaction to drawing the little animals. Theyre. Everything. To me.

Why luffy is bear- bears are so food motivated i love them.

Why sabo is sheep- rebelling against fate’s design, breaking from herd mentality, etc etc

Why ace is coyote- it’s really funny how people keep thinking theyre cats or dogs and take them in but theyre just feral creatures. Very similar to Ace me thinks.

I wanted to make luffy and ace typical predators of sheep. Something something them born to destroy the system of all that has ever been (harking back to that herd mentality) something something also breaking that promise too to be brothers with someone from that system

this whole discourse over at reddit & at times brought up here at tumblr - aside from the points that have been made I think what these commenters are overlooking is a very GLARING way that jon & tyrion foil one another in dance.

tyrion is literally like - before murdering my sister I want to rape her. I cannot ever imagine jon who is apalled by gilly's situation etc saying shit like this- saying this about his sister. about any woman/girl. because it's not the way his character has been written. you don't have to care about the individual to be disgusted by what happened to them.

It’s wild that these people assume Jon would do such thing. It’s very insulting if you think about it. Jon who wanted to help Gilly escape but couldn’t because Lord Commander Mormont forbade it. Jon who calls out the stealing tradition of the Wildings and showed concern towards Ygritte in a hypothetical scenario where she’s stolen by an abusive man. Jon who helped Alys escape from unwanted marriage. Jon does this for women who are either strangers or who he barely knows. This Jon Snow will continue to stay friends with Tyrion Lannister? I don’t think so.

A character staying morally consistent even if that means an old ‘friendship’ is destroyed? No no no we can’t have this Jon Snow. A character who throws away his morals and ideals just to keep a ‘friend’. Oh we love this Jon Snow. This is the state of the ASOIAF fandom everyone.
