God. Damn.
I'm blown away by the attention my little comics got. I'm pretty self serving when it comes to my art so it always takes me by surprise when people resonate with something I post.
I'm so grateful for every like, repost, and follow I get for any of my posts. And those TAGS, you guys have no idea how much I love reading them. From the love and appreciation ones, to thematic breakdown ones and even the emotionally distressed ones (I swear I'm not a sadist, but a special shout out to dravencore for the particularly horrific visual ♡). I love it all, and that feedback literally makes my day.
Anyway, I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation by humbly offering these sketches of Vash in Bayonetta's clothes.
Tumblr media
I have zero context for this. No story, no theory, nothing. Head empty. Only Vash, his big guns, long legs and slutty little waist. 🥰

And we have a winner!
Tumblr media
So let's talk about the TECHNOCCULSTIST, how it fits into Stampede Wasteland, and the anatomy of a class in general.
TECHNOCCULTIST
mage-priests of the Wastes. sorcerers who bargain with tech-devils. preachers who spread the impact words of the Crash Saints. +LVL when rolling with TECH: when you're dealing with logic, construction, crafting, ritual, tech-devils, magic
Technoccultists are the spellcasters of Stampede Wasteland. They're the only class who can actually cast spells due to both their connections to the Crash Saints and the tech-devils. If you have levels in Technoccultist, you get to add your level to any roll that has you dealing with anything that falls within the purview of the class.
Aesthetics
Countless charms worn across your body
Tattoos of Crash scripture scrawled on your skin
Incense emitting, heavy cloak
The mark of a tech-devil upon your brow
ABILITIES
Here's where we start to get into the meat of a class: its abilities. Currently, there's no limit to how many times you can use a class ability, though some do come with built in narrative restrictions. The Gunslinger for example has to consume a bullet (really just the gunpowder inside it) to use an ability and the Wildwander needs to have their symbiotic beast with them to access some of their abilities. The Technoccultist is a little special in that it has only two kinds of "abilities": Learn a Spell or Pledge yourself to a Crash Saint.
Learn a Spell: This ability can be taken multiple times. Each time it is taken, roll + Spells known. On a success, you are corrupted by the tech-devil you are consorting with. Gain the mark of this tech-devil in a visible location upon your body. Tradition teaches caution when consorting with the tech-devils. Proper rituals and offerings to your Saintly patron will protect you.
Technoccultists are really the only people in the Wastes who can learn spells, and for good reason. The only things out there that can grant the power to cast spells are the tech-devils: ancient, pre-Crash AI that have been changed by the Warp. They're dangerous, powerful, and capricious. Some orders of technoccultists have half-shackled tech-devils enshrined within their monasteries. But far more common are tech-devils that wander the Wastes or inhabit ancient Crash Sites, waiting to tempt the unawares with powerful bargains. Or at least that's what the orders teach. Spells are, within the fiction, complicated. Like psychic brainworms, pieces of sacred digital code, ancient executables transmuted into something else by the psychofield of the planet. No one's entirely sure, and most folk don't ever want to find out. The full mechanics of spells are still in-progress, but they're gonna be wild. Powerful and dangerous. Though technoccultists don't have a ton of abilities compared to some of the other classes, the spells they can learn more then make up for that.
Pledge yourself to a Crash Saint: Each time this is taken, choose a new saint. Gain one minor relic or icon of the Saint. When you wield the relic or icon, roll+LVL when dealing with anything that falls within their domains.
Technoccultists are also the only class that have this level of flexibility in their "skills", effectively making them the "skill monkeys" of Stampede Wasteland. It is not easy to get bonuses to dice rolls in this game (you can lower the difficulty in other ways though)! But if you ever wanted to round out some "skills", then you can pick up some new patron Saints. How does this work in the fiction? The different orders all have slightly different theories, but the best working one is that the Crash Saints left "impressions" of themselves within the Warp, and when a technoccultist wields an icon or relic of that Saint, they can wrap those impressions of the Saint around them, effectively tapping into the powers of that Saint. Allegedly. Outside of the orders there's plenty of other ideas.
There are many Crash Saints, here are but a few.
Tumblr media
PREREQ: Make a sacrificial offering at a notable Crash Saint holy site.
The last mechanic that each class has is their prerequisite. The prereq is something that only becomes applicable as you start gaining levels outside of character creation and want to invest some of those levels in new classes you have no levels in yet. All prereq's are entirely narrative and can form the basis for future adventures.
And that's the TECHNOCCULTIST! Of the four classes, it has a fairly unique structure, but honestly, each of the classes has their own special quirks.
If you want to know more about Stampede Wasteland, you can check out the other posts in the tag, and follow along as I continue development! It's getting decently close to being text complete, so hopefully we'll see a release in the next couple of months.

So I just got sent that pretty iconic "anti-tulpa" document and I think it's pretty damn funny that a lot of those sources, if you actually READ them, are neutral or even supportive lmfao.
Like for this one? This is straight up pro-, and is just explaining that "tulpamancy" isn't the original concept and that it's based on other practices. Congrats, you're making our fucking point for us!
This next one is pretty interesting also. I wanna highlight some stuff from it, from both the op and comments.
Let's talk about my existence in contrast to some of these statements. The first one is "The biggest, most dangerous form of evil in Buddhist thought is "ego" or self-grasping. If ANY mental phenomena increases your self-cherishing attitudes (self importance, grandiosity, jealousness, craving, hatred, self-loathing, self-absorption etc) it's evil. IF a mental phenomena causes greater flexibility, less attachment, more tranquil emotions, less mental chatter/discursive thinking, increased generosity and compassion toward others, higher mental clarity etc.--that's good." And the second one is "If it increases negative emotions, it's not Dharma. If it decreases negative emotions, it's Dharma." So these are great for some people, but that mentality of not allowing "self-cherishing attitudes" can be EXTREMELY HARMFUL FOR SYSTEMS and ANYONE with self worth issues. A lot of this is contradictory for a lot of people. Something can both decrease negative emotions and make you feel connected to yourself. Nobody has the right to make us feel any less like ourselves - normally you can believe whatever you want for yourself, obviously, but pushing it onto other ppls' lives aint cool. The implication that we're straight up DANGEROUS just for existing is insulting to created systems regardless of whether you're using the word tulpa or not.
The reply to that by @/eeveecraft is great, and this part describes how weird that is in the context of headmates' identities here. "Furthermore, really don't like how you downplayed tulpas as property there, buddy. Tulpas are not property, they are people in every sense of the word, and I don't [give a] flying fuck about whatever complications that for your beliefs. My systemmates are people, full stop. I was already able to tell since you refer to your own systemmates as "imaginary friends," which a lot of tulpas aren't okay with being called that because that implies that they're fake. They are NOT lesser because they're not created by ancient monks or whatever.
"Like, seriously: "They would be considered "as real as you and me," with their own likes and dislikes etc," because apparently, modern tulpas don't have likes and dislikes and their hosts just see them as delusions? Say that to my tulpa, Arcanus who adores coffee while the smell makes me nauseous, say that to my systemmates who switch with me and have their own hobbies. Also, tulpas are more than just personalities. They have their own experiences, skills, preferences, dreams, memories, thoughts, a person is more than just their personality, and I thought a "licensed psychotherapist" would know that, especially if they have systemmates of their own." Make sure to read the full comment tho cuz it's a good takedown, it's not just about that it goes thru the entire thing.
SO! If anybody actually wants a well-studied paper outlining everything, check out Tracking the Tulpa: Exploring the "Tibetan" Origins of a Contemporary Paranormal Idea by Natasha L. Mikles and Joseph P. Laycock. It goes into a lot more of an accurate and in-depth history on the subject, and the bibliography ACTUALLY shows where things come from.
All that document showed us was that Buddhists are a wide community with a variety of different people with different skill levels, understandings, and opinions. And that we need to ditch the fantastical, impossible representation of the tulpa in supernatural media because that's ACTIVELY harming people. Which is what we want to show people! So congrats!

stroking and kissing Livius's horns? he is such a cute sweetheart, yandere or not
Tumblr media
He's doing that thing again.
Ever since being brought to Envy, your attitude shifted. As is to be expected. Hell changes people, oftentimes bringing out the worst in them. You're no exception, of course. Being in Envy has made you colder, a bit more reserved, cautious and judgemental towards all. This means Livius has some catching up to do.
Because, for some reason, he always has to be as aligned to your personality and moods as he can be. You've stopped questioning why he does this, it's been a constant since the start of your odd "relationship"- Probably a disturbance born of his nature, as an incarnation of envy itself. Can't really fault him for that, can you?
Nevertheless, it means he's being a lot more studious of you recently, taking note of your every action and reaction, absorbing it all like a sponge so he can then express those demeanors himself. Most of the time, the King is subtle in his efforts, yet during some other instances -Like now- He just stands silently and stares. It's more of a glare, really.
Eerily still, your King and husband observes you place new decorations around your shared room. That's another thing he pays close attention to, the way you'll redecorate. The house is an extension of one's mind, after all. Every now and then, as you turn this way and that, you manage to steal discreet glances at Livius, and sometimes, he'll do it.
That cute little reflex you like so much.
A brief, periodic twitch of the horns.
It was quite shocking to learn that demons have many types of horns. Not all of them are hard and bony, jutting upwards like the tines of a fork. Some are droopy and curly, others are tendrils, some loop around each other, others sway around their heads, their diversity is something truly mesmerizing. And Livius just so happens to be part of a minority of demons who feature moving horns, these long prong-like protrusions with a surprising amount of flexibility. They can flip up, back, forward, even curl a little at the ends.
He'll flick them about in certain choice moments, usually according to his moods. Although, when Livius falls into deep focus the way he has now, they'll twitch about in just the cutest way. It makes your heart soar.
" Come here. " You call.
The Icon jolts, blinking repeatedly, embarassed to be caught. " H- Hm? "
" Come. " You repeat.
The demon's smile inches upwards slightly. He walks in a different way already, a more measured pace, like yours, leaning down when you beckon him to do so.
The moment they're within reach, you grasp his blue horns with both hands and edge up their length until your left hand reaches the first ring on his right horn. Livius' face twists a bit at first, like the contact is unexpected, then relaxes steadily, giggling even, when you tug slightly at the protrusions and feel the way they give slightly.
" Pray tell, what has my King so distracted? " You joke, watching as his eyes flutter to a close and his horns droop further against the sides of his sharp face.
They look almost like the floppy ears of a dog, this way.
" Hhh- Nothing, sweetums! I just spaced out, you know me. "
You really don't, but you fear no one else does either.
" Good. " You murmur, placing sweet smooches up his right horn and feeling the extremity squirm slightly in your grasp.
Livius hums, tilting his head into the touch, completely unaware of how the twin curls on itself from delight at your sweet touch.
Sometimes, you can almost pretend this is alright.

NSFW SHUSHH 18++++
MINORS GO AWAY GRR GRAHH IDKK
Saw someone say that Milo and Sweetheart have sex with jewelry on (bondage talk later on ohohoo, and hcs)
I forgot who said that but props to you omg
Sweetheart with 2 chains on, they clink on each other as Milo fucks them doggy style on the bed, their hands holding themself up
It oddly becomes a kink for Milo 👀
Sweetheart likes the cold metal on their warm skin 👀 temp play maybe ooo
First time they do this, Sweetheart gets all (delightfully) flustered when they see Milo wear the chains in public bc it reminds them of that night
Milo running cold rings on their thighs, Sweetheart's leg muscles jolt a little when he moves it near their core, ya know that sensitive skin thats super warm yeah yeah 👀
..... Sweetheart later gives him a hint by wearing a kinda punk aesthetic choker (the leather ones with the circle/shaped bar in the middle) and he catches on quick, when they're home they show him a matching leash
Hes kinda surprised but is like , oh wow 😳 kind of "no way..." surprised
Feel like Sweetheart brought more kinks in the relationship, like things they wanted to try and Milo obviously indulged them
That night Milo tests the waters a bit by, when they reverse ride him, he pulls the leash back to see their head perk up, neck slightly strain up on the tug and uses a hand on their waist to pull them deeper on his cock
Leads to Sweetheart buying one of those restraints that bind the arms behind the back and a choker on the neck, a harness or smth that he can tug on
OBVI THE ICONIC BLINDFOLD WOOO
For someone who can turn literally invisible, they sure like losing their senses (and their mind) in bed with Milo shbskejskd
First time Sweetheart tries to get Milo in bongage, they use one of those ties that bind the wrists so he can't touch them, mid ride he rips them off and takes them right there bc he can't handle not touching them
Sweetheart likes having their face smushed on the bed, tongue out, moaning nonsense while Milo ruins them from behind
Milo absolutely loves seeing Sweetheart's hair all messy after, thinks its very cute and hot
Sweetheart goes crazy over eye contact during sex, so does Milo, he just growls, the knowledge of being watched by his mate WHILE he fucks them makes it all much more hotter
They both are pretty flexible, but Sweetheart is much more, Milo was once trying to position their legs, asking,, "how does this feel?" And they would say, "Lower..." and it led to a mating press with their legs all the way to their ears , gods
Sweetheart just gets a wave of pleasure when Milo spanks them, might be limited spanks but damn , the way they shiver or increase in pitch always catches Milo's attention (MILO THIGH SPANKER ARGAHAHH, ass too but he loves their thighs so much)
Belt.
You heard me.
B. E. L. T.
Especially Milo's belt.
He used it to hold them in place once, wrapping it around the under of their waist to keep them tight around him (cockwarming jwshsjsh TELL ME THE BOTH OF THEM WOULDNT LOVE THAT)
They love to watch him take off his belt, just the slow process of him painstakingly sliding it off his pants, and then when his pants are off, they let out a strong huff through the nose to not try to suck him through his boxers right then and there
He loves to see their noises turn into blissed-out ecstasy, like they're moaning his name and praises and then minutes later he's got them mumbling gibberish
They like to see this from him too, especially his growls when they roll their hips on him when they're riding in a certain way
Got this boy from groaning to moaning omg, voice breaking grip KSBSJSJ
They love to hear those strong huffs when he's about to cum, talk abt a rush or smth idk
Ok,,, am I done,, who knows
Enjoy 🐺💛
(Milo is best (wolf) boy mwah mwahh)

Have you ever scrapped ideas for Sweet & Sour?
Yep!
My process has luckily been more of "transform an idea that doesn't fit" situation for most things, but I'm happy to talk about some of the things that didn't make the cut. Whipping out the notes page...
Lacey was actually meant to be the spotlighted E4 member that gets close to Juliana, not Drayton (hence the focus on her in Chapter 1 & 2). She was actually my favorite at first, and I envisioned her as being a positive, grounding guide for Juliana, and also somewhat of a middle ground influence for Kieran. But then I wrote my spin on the cafeteria scene, and I was like "oh my god wait, Drayton's character is so enticing and flexible, and he's especially fun to insert as an influence in the Kieran/Juliana dynamic". SOOOOOO I quickly decided to pivot and make him the spotlighted one, and have him do more of this brotherly figurer role who was very cunning and comedic. Before I even realized I got overtaken by the iconicism, and now he's just part of my brand in general. Whoops. The "Drayton Being Iconic" tag existed on this blog before this happened so I honestly should've seen it coming LMAO. I do have very important plans for the rest of the E4 and what role they're playing, though :
Don't laugh at this one - it was also early development LOL. I was going to have a party scene where Drayton convinces Juliana to pretend she got drunk (I know) as part of a roundabout and wild way to find evidence that Kieran had a soft spot for her (I KNOW). Kieran was essentially gonna waltz in (to a social event he otherwise never would make an appearance in) and he'd get all flustered as Juliana latches onto him. He would've decided to sweep her away from the party and take him back to his dorm. I ended up scrapping this entirely because while teens do party and all that...yeah, and also we pretty much got the dynamic moments I wanted to portray much better through the chapters where Juliana got sick.
Kieran/Juliana dynamic was also gonna have a moment where Kieran gets it in his head to start flirting with Juliana because he thinks that she’s flirting to get him to put his guard down. And that's where they both kinda were gonna secretly realize their feelings LOL. In hindsight lowkey fire still, but yeah, kinda just didn't have the space for it. We do have flirty Kieran era though, and that's still based.
This one is kinda known already, but originally the Applins were the only stars of the show (hence the name of the fic). I added Ribombee in early on after enough people wanted it and gave it lore/a connection to Kieran and his mother. Before Ribombee was conceptualized, I had different plans for what happened to Kieran's parents (he would still be an orphan regardless).
Briar was originally going to make a "deal" with Clavell regarding getting Juliana to come to Blueberry early, although it wouldn't be revealed until Juliana discovers this later. I scrapped this in favor of something much better because I didn't like the implications it had on Clavell's character, and honestly, only Blueberry is supposed to have the sketchy admin/systematic stuff going on anyways lol.
Kieran was meant to show more obvious signs of sleep deprivation (e.g. falling suspect to illness more frequently, slowed reactions). This idea is still good and realistic, but yeah, ended up leaning more into other symptomology that went well with the toxic chain curse (e.g. irritability, obsessive fixations, self-criticism, overworking himself, fatigue, etc.)
Ribombee was going to sleep powder both Kieran & Juliana in the cave scene of Ch 5. I decided to make it a bit more organic by having Kieran up and reflecting on everything + having Ribombee appearance in a more mystical way. Plus, I thought it would mean more if Kieran & Juliana opted to cuddle up themselves rather than being knocked out. There was a part of me that was worried the dynamic was progressing too fast this way with this change, but it seemed to have landed well! :)
This doesn't really count as a scrapped idea, but related: I 1000% retconned something with the Drayton POV chapters (if ykyk, LOL). But YEP. It's CANON. And frankly it's a decision I personally love that has implications, but also won't screw up the storytelling for where we're at now, either.
There's actually a lot more, too, but like I said: most of my ideas tend to upgrade. And lolololol OMG this is especially true for some major lore stuff. I just don't want to reveal it because I don't want to give y'all hints on where we're going!! LOL.
And also...there are cuter moments I haven't used in S&S and probably won't be able to because I account for what makes sense with the given dynamic. BUT what I do end up doing is taking those unused ideas and putting them into What-Ifs or other stories. There's one I'm particularly thinking of that I was dying to put in S&S D, but I don't think it would trip up the current Kieran as much as it would've in earlier chapters, lol. SO. It's going in The Dichotomy in Our Hearts instead! xD
This was super fun to write, hope it was enough substance for the question! <3

genshin guys as figure skaters (& more) at the rink part 1:
characters: aether, albedo, alhaitham, ayato (& ayaka), baizhu, bennett, chongyun, cyno, dain, diluc, heizou, itto
disclaimer: all headcanons inspired by my own experiences as a former figure skater! honestly this started as just a "genshin tall guys as figure skaters" hc but then I added xiao and it just snowballed from there. there will be headcanons for the girls if there's interest!!
part 2:
-------------------------------------------------------
aether:
dain's student. late starter but seems to have a knack for skating. moving up pretty fast. just started nilou's ballet classes. actually pretty good at spins & quite flexible too.
albedo:
former competitive figure skater but mostly coaches now. does both Learn to Skate & private coaching. v patient & understanding. great with encouraging the more shy & hesitant kids.
alhaitham:
skating judge. only around for competitions & testing. hella intimidating. leaves v terse comments on tests. somehow, they're not as blunt as he looks. probably went to Worlds in his time.
ayato & ayaka:
extremely good pair skaters. everyone is in awe & lowkey fear of them whenever they're on the ice bc they're so focused & extremely fast. ayaka is super sweet off ice tho & besties with nilou. ayato has all the beginner skaters hanging over the boards wishing he was their partner instead.
baizhu:
medic. often gone on sick leave but always around for competitions. always has a cardigan on bc the building is hella cold, even in the lobby outside the rink. v kind but hopes no one will get injured so that there would be no need for him.
bennett:
in Learn to Skate. honestly probably shouldn't be on the ice but is trying his best. kaeya especially looks out for him. always encouraging the little kids & keeps a positive attitude.
chongyun:
just graduated to the freestyle ice!! unfortunately everyone there is extremely fast and scary. hugs the wall for dear life every time one (or two, in the case of our pair skaters) speeds by. actually started skating bc of his aunt shenhe, who used to figure skate. also takes nilou's classes.
cyno:
one of the guys working at the rink stores. usually the hockey store but occasionally the figure skating one as well. sharpens skates. will yell his bad dad jokes at people from across the lobby just to embarrass them (or maybe himself). also the guy jokingly twirling around & copying the ballet class outside their open door while they're practicing. actually surprisingly good at it.
dain:
serious af coach from Scandinavia or Russia or somewhere in Eastern Europe (no one knows). coached multiple Olympians in the past but has no current ones. scary af. only the really intense parents (the ones living vicariously through their kid) attempt to recruit as their child's coach. best of luck to them, since he only invites his students.
diluc:
arrives later & leaves earlier than kaeya (they drive separately). doesn't skate as often as his brother but has impeccable technique nevertheless. v consistent jumps. puts his waterbottle on whichever side of the boards that kaeya's isn't on. kaeya will move his own waterbottle over just to mess with him. iconic move is a beautiful spread eagle.
heizou:
that one guy from another rink who randomly shows up whenever his rink is closed for maintenance. still knows everyone despite not being a regular. super fun programs & does a lot of showcases.
itto:
hockey player. duh. did you think this guy figure skates. the little kids love him tho. probably the guy they call in for birthday parties.

Tsum-Tsums Design Observations
So I looked through the Tsums fandom page for the tsum mobile game. I did this as I wanted to look at all the different type of tsums to see what the general rules are for how tsums look.
There does seem to be some rough guidelines, some ignored for stylistic choice. Some of the rules that sometimes aren't followed, I can't really tell why. Perhaps it's just the artist behind the design.
Like one common rule seems to be that eyes are just dots. The exception is sometimes stylistic like when it's a major part of the character's design like Pleakly from Lilo and Stitch or like Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb. Part of Perry's look when not an agent is to look in opposite directions which is a bit difficult to show with no whites of the eyes, the sclera. Some that I don't understand is Timon from Lion King. I don't think the sclera is that big of a major identifying detail about Timon and the Pumba tsum has the usual dot eyes.
There is at least one tsum that has normal eyes, The White Queen from Alice in Wonderland (Live-action Tim Burton directed one). It just feels cursed compared to all the other tsums. There's also Mushu from Mulan who has cartoony eyes going on which seems weird as his eyes weren't drawn like that in the movie. That just seems like a random design detail randomly thrown onto him. It's like the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons eye shape. Which works for the Cars tsums and for Goofy since the originals have similar shapes. So the exception to dot eyes seems to be if the original has an iconic look associated to that part, though sometimes it's broken for no clear reason? I can only guess artistic choice.
Another common rule seems to be that tsums don't have mouths. The only ones that break that exception and make sense to me are ones with beaks, Pacman, and that one dog from the Coco movie. I haven't seen the movie (though I do intend to watch it some day) but I recall from the trailers it always has its tongue sticking out. So that tsum having a tongue makes sense.
If the character has buck-teeth then they're given mouths. Or if they're like Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie, both from The Nightmare Before Christmas, then that also makes sense as they do have unique mouths as well. The ones that don't really make sense to me is when there's a random smile? Judy Hopps, Zootopia, has a smile while Nick Wilde, also from Zootopia, has no mouth. I don't usually think of smiling as a unique character identification trait unless it's perhaps that the character can only smile.
Another common rule seems to be a round dot for the nose. Yet this is rather flexible, usually changing for animals. Some characters get a bit more shape to their noses. Though I have noticed that if the original design of a character has a sharp-pointed nose, that's rounded out. At least, that's the case for Pinocchio. Of course some have no noses like the fish tsums.
Hair and other details seem rather free. Just make it look like felt. They can have hats, glasses, earrings, and they do have ears. Usually very small and tiny unless the character's original design doesn't have usual human ears. Heck they even take into account if the character has hearing aids. Carl from Up had what I thought was a dark hole on his ear, but then I realized that wasn't depth design but a hearing aid since his other ear doesn't match. A few rare tsums will even hold an item. Like Maleficient from Sleeping Beauty holds a small staff.
The main major rules seem to be that they must look like they're made of felt and have a round pill-shape.
Oh and have a photo of some of the most unusual tsums I spotted and put together in ms paint.
Tumblr media
The top left is the Pixar Lamp. I know Yzma's, from Emperor's New Groove, eyelashes are a big detail, but couldn't they still work with dot eyes? I don't know what's going on with Sully, Monster's Inc, as he looks a bit badly patch-worked? Interesting that the Mirror of Darkness from Snow White has a tsum. That basically breaks the common shape. The crab from Moana is the biggest violation of breaking the usual shapes. That red guy on the top right is Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. Need I say more?
The pink one is one of the little oysters from Alice in Wonderland (animated) movie. The one with the regular human eyes is The White Queen from Alice in Wonderland (live-action) movie.
I might redraw some of these in what I view as the rough guidelines from tsums just to see if I can understand the reasoning of why they're so different.
Have a screenshot of the most botched tsum.
Tumblr media
This is supposed to be Wall-E. Wall-E isn't yellow. Like they didn't even try to get the details on his body, like perhaps the top part of his square body could be what's seen behind his head-eyes. I would think brown for a main color, not emoji yellow. Just isn't right.

Finally got into the Engage groove. Sat down and went from 10 to 15.
Something about MC's "I can't do this without you!" at the Emblems is really funny. Big waifufag energy.
Again, another point where I wish the Emblems were original characters. You could actually do something interesting with Alear having some kinda mildly codependent relationship with the Emblems in spite of them not being truly alive if they weren't cool iconic FE characters that need to be objectively good and admirable at all times.
Heck, you could address the unsettling idea of the Emblems not being truly alive in the first place! They identify themselves as Emblem Name, which means even they see themselves as a derivative. Are they trapped in a hell of undeath, watching everyone around them age and die? Do they still feel the human need for interaction? They get used as weapons against their consent-- isn't that an awful existence? Why would they want to become an Emblem in the first place? They're like the cookies from Black Mirror...nightmarish.
Interesting characterization glimmer from Alcryst. His boss convo with his dad has him saying that he wants to be the one to kill dad in order to spare Diamant having to do it. Damn, son
The sad piano music on the retreat chapter is nice.
I don't get why localization did that with the shitenno names...they're supposed to be colors. Mauvier and Griss are recognizably colors, but the girls are weird. Zephia = Sepia, Marni = Maroon (or maybe Marron, the French version).
Fogado feels like the character the fandom wanted Claude to be lmao
Also not sure why they renamed his sister? She's Misteria in Japanese, the siblings are fog and mist, that's the joke.
...dragon badguy kinda sexy. Forehead clit is a turnoff though
I like how Hortensia wigs out thinking Ivy is dead and everyone just chooses not to correct her
Kingdom 1's name theme is French, 2 is rocks, 3 is flowers, and 4 is...not sure, actually. Jp had the fog/mist thing, but English...
MERRIN IS MY WIFE
Oh, the gay bandits again. Wait...do they both call one another little brother in their death lines??
Solm palace is very pretty. Easily the nicest-looking castle interior
RIP to whatever localizer got handed Fogado's fratboy retainer lmao there are plenty of things I'll drag the localization on, but the party peep lingo is so bizarre to translate. I won't even touch it. They did their best with that shit
Kagetsu has gotten str level after str level. He's terrifying. Complete animal.
Kagetsu and Zelkov feel like weird AU cousins of Odin and Zero...Koyasu voicing Kagetsu only hammers this vibe home even harder
Starting to suffer on supports. As of chapter 15, MC doesn't have one B support. They took away support-building on the enemy phase and two-space supporting, which makes it a massive pain in the ass to get support points. I've been doing arena and cafe after every battle, too! Squeezing as many support points as possible outta this, but it still ain't much
Reclassing ends up being kind of an odd beast thanks to how Emblem-dependant it is. Losing your initial batch of Emblems takes away your ability to spread weapon proficiencies around, which hobbles your ability to reclass for several chapters. Compounding that, it's a good while before you can buy Second Seals, and money is very tight. If you have a unit who starts off in a class not suited to their growths (Jean, Clanne) they're kinda just fucked. What's the point of designing a system with so much flexibility only to take away your ability to use it for most of the game? I would have preferred the system be more stripped-down and actually usable.
Goddamn, do I feel the money crunch. Buying gifts? In THIS economy?

Whether you're making your own tiles or using an existing set, there is a little bit more to using them than just placing them on the map. Here's where we get into the database.
As a refresher, you can get to the database under Tools, by pressing F9, or by selecting the gear icon at the top of the screen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can tell that a lot of the magic happens here because there are a lot of ways to get to it.
There's a lot in the database, but we're still focused on tiles for now so I'll pop down to the tilesets button. It'll bring up your tilesets.
Tumblr media
As shown above, all parts of a tileset can be adjusted here, from the separate parts of the A tab through the B-E tabs (though the sample set shown here only goes through C).
Outside here is made of a few different subgroups so a set can mix and match from your available assets for flexibility. For example, the Outside and SF Outside sets that comes with RMMZ both use the same A1 and A2 tiles but have different A3-C tiles.
Once you've got the tiles you want to work with put together, the important stuff is that column of buttons on the right. That's where you tell RPG Maker how to make the tiles behave in the game.
The first one is Passage and it actually has three possible settings.
Tumblr media
An X, as shown on the barrel and gravestones, means that the player cannot walk on the tile. Whether it's a solid object like a building or a hole the character cannot just jump down, an X is used to prevent the player from walking where you don't want them. An O means the tile is passable and the player can walk on it, as with the clumps of grass and stepping stones.
Finally the star, as shown on the upper tile of the tree, means that the player can pass the tile and whatever is shown on the tile will appear above the player. This allows the player to walk behind tall trees or under hanging signs.
Passage (4 dir) is that but more nuanced. It's for tiles you want the player to be able to walk on in some directions but be blocked in others. Think like a bench the player can "sit" on or a bridge over a gap of land.
Tumblr media
If I kept the passage as it was in the default settings for this set, the player would be able to walk north or south off the bridge directly onto the grass "below". Likewise they could just walk onto a bridge high "above" them from the ground and destroy the illusion of elevation in a 2D environment.
So to fix this all I have to do is go into the B tab...
Tumblr media
... and make the bridges 4-direction passability match how I want the tile to work in-game. Now I can build bridges over land as well as over already impassable tiles like water.
Next is Ladder.
Tumblr media
Basically, this setting being on indicates that the player will always face up when standing on this tile regardless of the direction they're moving up or down it (so you don't climb down a rope and just look like you're walking).
In XP if you wanted this effect you'd have to make direction fix events. MZ allows you to build it into the tile and call it a day.
Tumblr media
Whether it's to indicate sinking into shallow water or trudging through deep snow (or, you know, walking through tall grass where wild Pokemon are ready to jump out), this setting makes it so the lower part of the player becomes semi-transparent when standing on the tile.
Tumblr media
Counter is for if you want a tile to be a solid object but still allow you to interact with an event on the other side.
Tumblr media
You can "talk" over a counter if there is a one-tile width counter between you and the event you're trying to talk to (like a businessman seated behind a desk or a shopkeeper behind their counter).
Tumblr media
A counter will also extend the A2 autotiles a little to extend the legs down a bit to look more natural.
Damage Floor
Tumblr media
This one's pretty neat to have built in. Damage floor is for stuff that drains HP from walking on it, such as swamps of poisonous goop.
I honestly don't remember whether this existed in XP or not.
Elsewhere in the database you can also control whether the player can reach 0HP from floor damage or if it instead only drops to 1HP. That's for later, though. We're still here for tiles. When I say I'm doing a learnalong I'm going into painful detail here.
Finally there's Terrain Tag.
Tumblr media
Basically you get a default of 0 and up to seven other tags you can assign to tiles. Terrain tags were a big thing in determining encounters back when I played around in Pokemon Essentials (think Tall Grass) but I never played much with them otherwise. They allow custom versions of the aforementioned ways to assign special rules to a tile that automatically works when put on a map.
That last bit about priority basically refers to the layer the tile is placed on.
Tumblr media
In other words, a table (counter) placed on layer 2 would be read by the game over whatever the floor or ground below it is. However, if a tile on a higher layer has a default 0 chosen and the ground below it has a numerical tag added, the 0 tile will be ignored in favor of the one with a terrain tag assigned.
Even if you're not building all your own resources these are pretty useful to know for if you want to change something up, like I did with the 4-directional passage on the bridges.

Here is an example of a good boss. TL;DR: Your boss should always advocate for you when people higher up on the corporate ladder are asking you to do things that are unreasonable and/or not in your job description. Work/life balance is important for everyone, but especially when your job is not life and death. If someone isn't going to die/get injured because you didn't do the thing that's not in your job description, you should not be expected to do the thing.
First, a little background. I work as an email developer for an office supply distributor. My job basically is to build and send out all email communications, both internal and external. I work on a couple landing pages (web pages) too, but email is my main role.
Here is the cast of characters: CW icon: my boss, Marketing Automation Manager LS icon: my teammate, who fills in for me when I'm gone, but mostly works with our customers (people who buy products from us). We have a bunch of email marketing programs they can sign up for that we create for them that pulls in their logo and links to their website. She supports and trains them. She's also basically the cishet version of my spouse. They both have fibromyalgia, autism and ADHD. E: Director of Communications C: Senior Director of Customer Care and Sales J: Director of Marketing Operations (my boss' boss) G and C: Managers of External and Internal Communications, respectively
Tumblr media
Laughing react is from my boss. Don't you love how E is using words like "empower" to make it sound like being on call 24/7 is a thing we'd want to do? Like we'd feel we were missing out on an opportunity by not taking on extra work that's not in our job description and not something we'd get paid extra to do because we're salaried.
Tumblr media
For real, nobody ever died because they couldn't order post-its.
Tumblr media
And here's the thing: we have a really awesome team. We do work really hard and we are really appreciated. I can't tell you how many times when I actually go into the office that people tell me this. I hear it at least once a visit. I only go into the office for free food because there is literally no reason I need to be there to do my job. I don't collaborate with anyone. I just copy/paste and wait for people to get their shit together.
E literally just had her 1 year anniversary with the company a few weeks ago too. Oh, I looked her up on LinkedIn and apparently her bachelors is in textiles and weaving. So there's that.
I've been here for 7 years and my boss for 9. LS only has 3 years, but she's fit in amazingly well and done such a great job with her responsibilities. LS and I are happy in our roles and honestly have no desire to move up and take on more responsibilities. The reason we love our jobs is because of the balance and flexibility we have. Being able to shut your laptop and rest or just live your life is important to us. Are we willing to hop on if there's something urgent and we're not busy? Sure. But as my boss said, we're not taking our laptops to the grocery store and whipping them out to send out something that absolutely can wait because nobody is going to die if they can't order paperclips. We don't sell medical supplies (other than first aid supplies). We sell a wide range of office supplies, but literally nothing anyone would result in someone dying if they didn't get in a timely manner.
So yeah, if your boss can see thought the "opportunity for empowerment" bullshit, they're a keeper.

Character Drop Update
-
And with that, these characters are finally ready. I may add more from AT later depending on the just now announced release date of Fionna and Cake's series or bar off the canon from that completely other than what's vaguely and welcome characters from it as I said?
Here are the links:
Tumblr media
>Princess Bubblegum<
Tumblr media
>Marceline< (She's been updated slightly but has a major icon update/I have renewed inspiration for new things with her behind the scenes so maybe expect a thing or two with her more, granted she's pretty active as it is)
Tumblr media
>Ice Queen< (I highly suggest reading her lore if your character knows her in what would be canon AT such as PB, Marceline or Marshal. Her drabble will come soon as I pretty much set down what was needed)
Tumblr media
>Science the Rat< (Not entirely locked to PB but she is my PB's Science and anyone else's I approve of if asked. I suggest reading what she does for PB if you have a PB or even Prince Gumball)
Tumblr media
>Izzy the Junkomancer< (Simple funny character for a Reptilian Goblin)
Otherwise things to note below the cut if interested in these five:
My Marceline and Bubblegum are a ship no matter the verse they're in, you MUST win both their hearts. Some characters, are just not gonna have what it takes for these two to be a polycule. I am willing to talk about them, however, plan, plot etc.
I am open to Bonnie being shipped with Marceline from other rpers or even Marshal, but I need to be asked first. If I know you, I can pretty much say I do.
My Ice Queen is at a surface glance fine to use with most other characters, but if you are a: Betty, Marshal, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, Prince Gumball or a Finn or Fionna? DM me as we're gonna have to discuss them slightly for what my Ice Queen actually is/their place in their timeline as she's separated from Aaa canon and AT canon in a separate timeline of the main show with vastly different events but kept vague to be flexible to allow Betty to interact with solely being Golb by the time she becomes Ice Queen.
IF YOU ARE SOMEONE that knew my Ice King or interacted with him before, DM me as this Ice Queen is that Ice King. Anyone without context can read my lore and bios for Ice Queen, she needed a lot of work.
Izzy is purposefully simple. She's not a joke character per-say but certainly has dark humor in mind.

Who should be the villain of Spider-Man 4?
Tumblr media
Following the Watts Spider-Man trilogy, Peter Parker in the MCU has faced a number of his most iconic villains. From the villains of the Raimi-verse to Mysterio and Vulture, it seems like there are few villains left for a reported 6 more movies.
Tumblr media
What's worse, villains like Venom, Kraven, and Carnage are being taken up by Sony Picture Universe of Marvel Characters (or SPUMC) with mediocre to bad films like Madame Web or Morbius.
Tumblr media
While there is potential for new and fresh versions of Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and more to be put into the MCU, and I think they absolutely should, before we go there I think there are a number of solid to great Spider-Man villains who have not made their film debut who can add something new to these films.
I've put together a list of five I think could make solid contenders for Spider-Man 4, a few potential film ideas for each, and some casting ideas, all leading up to my favorite.
5. Swarm
Tumblr media
Starting off with the least likely and my least favorite, Swarm was a Nazi Scientist and Beekeeper turned literal swarm of Bees. Due to his form, he can become intangible, fly, possesses super strength, and is the stuff of nightmares.
Due to his Nazi background, this character would need a complete retooling. Perhaps a scientist looking to cure death, or an Oscorp accident turning a good man into a monster.
If we wanted a more horror based superhero movie, this would be the way to go. This character has the potential to be very scary. Think Candy Man but a scientist hunting Spider-Man, perhaps for a cure or for getting in his way.
Tumblr media
I'd love a Keith David, someone with a booming voice, scary, but can play sympathetic. Imagine the cat from Coraline or the Voodoo Man hunting Spider-Man, or desperately seeking a cure for his condition, killing anyone in his way.
Tumblr media
I think characters like this have been done in the Raimi movies in particular, but could feel fresh in the MCU. Again though, it's a bit controversial being a former Nazi, and the retooling of the character may not be worth it if we're just scratching the surface of good villains.
4. The Prowler
Tumblr media
This one is extremely obvious but worth a mention.
The only character already in the MCU, he has been casted extremely well AND has only grown in popularity. Putting him in as Spideys new big bad would not only ground the movie with a very human villain, but set up the story for Miles Morales.
Prowler can take the place of the physical villain of the film similar to Winter Soldier. His strings can be held by Kingpin, Hammerhead, Norman Osborn, Silvermane, or Tombstone, using him as a weapon against their enemies, including Spider-Man.
Tumblr media
My main argument against this is simple, it isn't the right time. If we are doing Aaron Davis, we need to do Miles. I think that's better for the 5th or even 6th movie, but not yet. Let Peter have more years under his belt as Spidey before he teaches another.
Tumblr media
He'd be a strong pick for a 5th movie, or even maybe a secondary villain in a 4th movie, but not a good main antagonist.
3. The Beetle
Tumblr media
Abe Jenkins or Leila Davis have both donned the name The Beetle, an armored villain usually after money and fame. However, this character has a lot of range.
Sometimes they're a heroic member of the Thunderbolts, sometimes they're a petty villain, a genius, daughter of mob boss Tombstone, and sometimes even in a wildly different armor. There are a lot of ways to go with this villain.
Tumblr media
Due to the flexibility of the character, we really can use them anyway imaginable. He could be a failed Stark employee (again), a genius prodigy like Peter, an antihero who kills, a terminator like threat, or anything in between.
Tumblr media
I think having Spidey face an Iron Man of his own could be a good way to show his more intelligent side, and make Peter deal with the loss of Tony yet again.
Again the range give us quite a few ideas for actors. I'd really like someone who can do desperation and scary but intelligent. Jason Clarke I don't think gets enough love.
Tumblr media
If we went with a younger actress and the daughter of Tombstone, I'm a big fan of Logan Browning. I think she'd make a great antivillain turned hero in the MCU, and be part of Spider-Mans new crew. Maybe help him engineer new (although be it not Tony Stark levels) of tech.
Tumblr media
I think this villain has the potential to be brought up to Vulture or Mysterio status, they're just not my favorite as far as fresh and interesting.
2. The Jackal
Tumblr media
This may be controversial but I'll die on this hill.
Miles Warren is a geneticist who has gone mad due to the loss of Gwen Stacy. He blames Spider-Man and swears revenge, turning himself into the monstrous Jackal.
The Jackal would be an excellent villain to introduce into the MCU and a Spider-Man movie so we can get a version of the worst comic book storylines: The Clone Saga.
Now before you think that is a terrible idea, remember that we just got a great Spider-Man movie based around a version of One More Day. So hear me out.
Tumblr media
Having the Jackal create a Spider-Man for Peter to fight would be inherently interesting. Imagine a chase scene where two Spider-Men (both Tom Holland) are chasing each other swinging around New York. It could be as iconic as Zod and Superman in Man of Steel.
Tumblr media
Adding the Jackal also means adding Ben Reilly into the MCU, a fun new addition which lets us see Hollands range. Who doesn't want to see edgy Tom?
Tumblr media
The Jackal would also be very reminiscent of The Green Goblin while being something fresh and new. He can be scary and creepy, all while being a physical match for both Peter and Ben Reilly. We can get someone Dafoe type to ham it up and give us an iconic weird performance.
My pick would be Bryan Cranston. Forget Lex Luthor, let's let him ham it up and go nuts as a hairy Grinch style villain.
Tumblr media
My only concern would be the backlash for even considering it from comic book fans. But, I think if done well, all will be forgiven.
1. Mr Negative
Tumblr media
Anyone who has played PS4 Spider-Man and read my blogs knew where I was going.
Having Martin Li as the central antagonist would be a perfect balance for Spider-Man. He is superpowered, making him an equivalent to Spidey. He has the potential to be a mentor turned villain, like all great Spider-Man villains.
Tumblr media
Li also is the perfect linchpin to crime villains in the Marvel Universe. He could create a Superpowered gang war against other villains like Kingpin, Silvermane, or Tombstone, putting Spider-Man in the center of something very grounded and dangerous.
Create a mob style movie with Spider-Man unable to fathom how deep crime in NY goes could be the refreshing story the MCU needs. It could add interesting Marvel characters like Daredevil, Black Cat, Punisher, Kingpin, Hammerhead, and more.
Tumblr media
And it would all be centered around a character Spider-Man fans currently love. It's absolutely perfect.
I don't have a cast for this, as it would need to be a very gifted martial artist and seemingly good guy turned evil. But I think Marvel can nail casting.
All in all, Li would be the perfect villain for Spider-Man 4. Someone powerful enough to be a threat, fresh enough to be fun, and grounded enough to tell a very different interesting Spider-Man story.
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for reading! Please consider following, and check out my socials and other sites here! And let me know: Who do you want to see Peter face in Spider-Man 4?

a few days ago i got to thinking about a RPG i was interested in, around early 2010s at the earliest (and around that time I think was the tail end of the days when me, my mom and my little brother lived out of a car, so my memory of specific dates is extremely fuzzy), called Big Eyes Small Mouth. It was a fairly lightweight system designed around emulating the feel of different anime series, with a multiverse setting built to accomodate it, fantasy settings along with cyberpunk or futuristic, all with the intent of making it as flexible as possible to incorporate whatever was included, both in the sense of flexible character concepts (so you could play as pretty much whatever you wanted, as well as broad archetypes of various anime series) and the actual concepts of the setting itself from psychic mech pilots to monster trainers (albeit less tongue-in-cheek than other character ideas, since that one was often worded in significantly meaner spirited terms) were all presented as openly as possible
for various reasons I don't think that game system is actually quite as useful for the reason I usually look at RPGs, which is to create characters within the mechanics of that system. It was built with a tri-stat system which my characters generally tend to not work too well with, given their general power levels. however, the IDEAS inspired by the setting are what's on my mind. Among other things, there's a concept where people are born as 'keys', or with an inherent power to open rifts between different worlds. In-series, its assumed that most of them tend to be ordinary students (leaning towards the anime inspiration, though amusingly enough I think this predates the majority of most isekai series, which might use this as a starting point).
So I kept thinking; what if I used this as a baseline for character concepts, one way or another? And the idea currently percolating for me is a group of people who are, for one reason or another, somewhat vulnerable and wind up with this portal-type power (or that one of them has portal portals at least, perhaps a mix of the game Portal and the X-Man Blink) and pop into the greater multiverse, winding up protected by a group of my main OCs, whom i've taken to referring to as the OC Squad (though in my ideas, I've considered the idea of calling them something like the Iconoclasts, shortened to Icons as they wind up gathering followers).
The basic gist there is of using this group of weaker characters as an audience surrogate, using them to introduce the more wacky or far-out elements of my setting that they otherwise wouldn't know, with their relationship with the OC Squad evolving. (Into WHAT, I'm not sure!) But the question is what exactly IS this group of characters? I was thinking of making them something relatively low-scale, with the specific idea being 'the cast of a coffee shop AU abruptly wind up dropped into a post-apocalyptic science fantasy setting and have to deal with the sudden danger'.
But this has its complications. A setting similar to real world earth doesn't make sense for my setting, while something similar enough to modern earth has its own issues, and would require figuring out at least one world among many that maps to the real world Earth and a suitable society. It IS possible, though i figure very rare, for one world to have survived the cataclysms particular to the setting and retain a technology level similar to the modern world.
It would be way more likely, I think, for them to functionally come from a cyberspace world existing as data, running a simulation of such a world or the life stories of people who were there and died a long time ago; in other words, they realize they're the end game of SOMA, or its the same issue facing Tidus from final fantasy X. This way has two built in plot hooks; the first would be them coming to terms that there's no going home and that home never technically existed; alternatively, their entire life is an illusion, with their dramas and loves and fears all being them playing out the stories of people who died a long time ago, and now they can choose not to be, but must deal with the existential horror that implies. Are THEY real? What DEFINES real?
And that leads into the other question; what are they, in the sense of species (however that applies here, as the possibility of taking on new bodies is fairly reasonable in my setting)? They MIGHT be human, but its also just as reasonable for them to be anthro-style beastfolk, super sleek sci-fi robots, or something else entirely. I might consider working out a basic five to fulfill a group dynamic with the twist being that they quickly take on dramatically different characteristics in short order (for example the emotional heart of the team winds up becoming the leader of the friend group as the original leader reacts badly to circumstances and winds up becoming the hot headed brute force problem solver instead).

would you mind sharing your thought process in creating livius's design? i really love his outfit, it's so sheek! as well as how flexible he looks! you would make a killing as a monster fashion designer~ providing monsters with drip since 1999
[I was floating in my dad's left nut in 1999, but thank ye <:7.]
Livius, as he is today, came to me very quickly and with no real thought behind him.
Let me explain-
Initially, I wanted to make Envy a female, like Vorticia, but I was struggling immensely with a way to portray Envy. I just didn't have any concrete ideas. At some point, I wanted to give this Icon a lot of eyes, as a way to express constant "evaluation", constant judging- But then I thought "What if they only had two eyes, but they were expressive enough to convey the depths of everything they never say?", and that kind of stuck.
Livius' physical form was made in two days, via a fit of aimless doodling where I was trying to figure out designs for both Pride and Envy. I let myself draw without really thinking, and only then did I start nitpicking. I think it makes sense to make Livius a flexible, twisted being because I see envy as something that worms its way into everything, as an insecure, ever-adapting mindset. People who live consumed by Envy are never minimally stable, because the desire to be like someone else, or have something of theirs, will make their entire identity shift gear. Livius' ability to contort is meant to represent that as well, in some way.
As is his expression, which often mimics that of someone he's taken a fondness to. In fact, Livius imitates a lot of your patterns, because he partly wishes he was you. Even his love is tainted by his own envy.
As for a color scheme, I wanted something very uniform, because I just wasn't feeling a detail-heaby design for Envy, for some reason. I thought about green, but Rinx is already green, and I don't like too much repetition in color chemes. I settled for a blue-ish hue, which also kind of ties into how much of a depressive sap he can be, as blue is oftentimes used to refer to sadness.
The smile and horns were arranged in a way that makes a connection between him and Vinnel, though a purely metaphorical one, they aren't related. They also fit with the rest of the design, but I can't explain that beyond just a gut feeling of mine. The tail mimics his horn disposition, to a degree.
The clothes... Well. I just fucked around? I wanted something skin-tight and that wouldn't get in his way too much. Demon lords don't usually dress that much, unless they're trying to make statements. I'm also constantly subconsciously putting them in slutty fits, so there's that.

Storm Collectibles TEKKEN 7: Jin Kazama (Review)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Introduction:
Storm Collectibles is a Hong Kong based designer and manufacturer of action figures. They are known for making officially licensed, high quality collectible action figures, primary from fighting game series and iconic figures. They also have the license to make TEKKEN action figures. These figures were made into 1/12 scale with feature numerous points of articulation, interchangeable head sculpts and pairs of hands, and special fighting effect parts. This time, the review is going to focus on Jin Kazama, he was given with a standard boxart like Blue Mary. With the visible large window plastic, we can almost see the whole contents. The front part was printed with "TEKKEN 7" logo with Jin name in both japanese and romaji, his TEKKEN 7 render artwork portrait, there is age 17+ that this figure was meant for those 17 years old or above. And Bandai Namco entertainment inc logo prints. While the back part is mostly shown the figure's promotional photos showing how the figure works.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Contents:
Jin comes with his main figure, he's included with 3 interchangeable head sculpts in total, 4 pair of hands in total and an electric punch effect for his Rage Art Finisher. His background paper inside the box is a diorama stage of G Corp Helipad.
Tumblr media
Jin is a muscular young man of Japanese ethnicity. He has black hair that spikes at the back of his head like his father Kazuya Mishima. He also sports a fringe like his mother, Jun Kazama. Jin's face also strongly resembles his mother's. One of Jin's most prominent aspects is the black tattoo-like mark on his left shoulder, a mark that Devil branded onto him. Jin is shirtless and wears black trousers with a red, orange and yellow flame design on the right pant leg and red and black footpads. He wears Mishima style red gauntlets with a triangular pattern of metallic studs on the back of the hands, resembling his father's gloves. His outfit is an updated design of his TEKKEN 6 getup which the red flame on his pants is now larger with an orange and yellow tint. He wears an black with gold trim karate belt and red and black footpads. His gauntlets now extend down his entire forearm and come to a set of spikes at the end. I gotta say, in terms of design and physical appearance Storm really nails Jin but, my only complain is only his face, I'll show the pictures below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His articulation points consisted movable head, torso, arms with bicep cut, double jointed elbow, wrists, legs with thigh, double jointed knee, ankles and tiptoe part. Another movable part is his tied belt which you can rotate it to create his move lists with more motions. His gauntlets are movable and also removable since it's separate pieces so, we can see his bare lower arms but, removing the gauntlets is useless since there is no bare hand part for Jin and his wrist joints are black colored which they're meant to connect Jin's gauntlet gloves with his wrist parts.
Tumblr media
Jin was included with 3 head sculpts (HS) in total, first would be his standard serious expression. Second HS is his angry expression with a heavy grit and third is even angrier with open mouth. Well, you can already tell the purpose of these expressions. His hair are not removable nor swappable so, most of his head sculpts uses the same hair mold. His hairs are mostly made from hard materials including his fringe... So, his fringe may break if I'm careless. Honestly, he looks nothing like how Jin was portrayed in the game... Despite Jin's brutal fighting style but, he got better looks than his father since he also inherits his mother's face. But, this one, he's looking like a grunt man. Although, they still captured his calm demeanor nicely....
Tumblr media
Jin comes with 4 pair of hands in total, that would be: fisted hands which was already attached to his main figure, 2 finger gesture hands. Open splayed and open palm hands for his necessary battle poses. His hands were also made from semi flexible rubber material but, thicker. These hands are more than enough to recreate Jin's iconic poses and even his move lists.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jin is given with punch effect since he is iconic with his punching moves so, it's kinda obvious if he comes with this. Unlike Mary's stomping effect, Jin's effect was made from a semi hard rubber material and it's a little tricky inserting Jin's arms on it. The effect was made from a semi transparent materials that is mainly red with yellow gradation to the edge. Despite the little flexibility, I kinda reluctant to use it again since several part feels breakable yet, his effect got seamlines like it was separate 2 pieces glued.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His diorama stage was a printed of the G Corporation's Helipad background which, kinda ironic since G Corp leadership is his father Kazuya. Jin was never a part of G Corp except his war involvements during his ownership in Mishima Zaibatsu.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, we can make tons of his move lists even some of his classic TEKKEN 3 moves that he nolonger use in his later appearances. In TEKKEN 3, most of Jin's move lists were mixture between Heihachi, Kazuya and Jun. However, I recreated this because I grew up by playing TEKKEN 3 as my very first TEKKEN game I played and Jin was my main character, although I'm not a good player myself but, I really enjoyed that old times.

Thoughts:
Jin is my very first Storm figure collection but, his mobility is as good as Mary since Jin was designed with newer body format since Storm had been releasing many male action figures prior Jin and that includes Jin's father Kazuya Mishima and grandfather Heihachi Mishima so, I could still make tons of his iconic move lists from his game easily.
