ALMOST

He had awoken with a jolt, shook from a memory. A dream. A nightmare.

Loki! The dark elf was running towards him from the cliff, Loki couldn’t see him and was distracted by two elves, one he had just decapitated and was momentarily blinded by a gush of black, steaming elven blood.He frantically wiped his face with the remains of his cape while fighting off the second attacker single handed and mostly blind.

Thor felt panic rising, drying out his mouth to the point where he couldn’t shout to warn Loki. Fear clutched his heart and robbed him of his breath, stumbling as he sprinted off towards the elf. Then his warrior instincts kicked in, his lungs opened up again and he ran full speed.

Tackling the assassin just seconds before he could ram his poisoned spear through Loki's chest from behind.

He almost lost him. Without ever telling him.

Thor stood up, shaking his head, more to will away the darkness in his head than to sort his tangled, golden mane, and walked across the big chamber, all decorated in green and gold.

Once he entered the bathing chamber that adjourned the spacious bedroom, he looked at his reflection in the big mirror. He was bruised from head to toe from battle. And other things...

He washed his face and patted his body dry from the sweat with a washcloth. Everything in here smelled so familiar, but more intense than he was used to. It smelled of pines, leather, smoke and a hint of fresh fallen snow.

Quietly, he walked back to the bed. His lover had shifted, clutching the pillow Thor's head was laying on just moments ago, still breathing evenly.R

The delicate silken sheets only decked the lower half of the slender body he was so used to seeing - but not in this way.

He couldn’t resist. He leaned down, pressed a featherlight kiss to the tender piece of skin just below the ear. A small red mark was still visible. Thor smiled. He himself had sucked the tiny bruise into the skin.

His fingers wandered from the hair he was absentmindedly stroking, down the neck, over the toned chest and then ghosted over the slim waist. He slipped his hand under the sheets; teasingly tracing the hipbone and then back over the perfectly shaped ass to tickle the small dimples just above.

With a soft smile, he watched the beautiful face of his lover twisting and a soft moan spilled from the bruised lips. The sort of moan that leaves lips subconsciously just before one awakens.

He leant forward to have a look at those spectacular green eyes that were currently hidden from his sight by a curtain of raven locks; tangled and messed up from what they had done earlier.

When a hoarse, sleepy mumble came from those lips, Thor startled a bit. Then he saw a hint of mischievous green eyes, glinting in the moonlight, watching him intently.

"Don't start what you can’t finish."

The challenging undertone in the voice wasn’t missed by him. So he climbed back into the bed, slipping under the cover while discarding the bit of fabric he wore from his trip to the bath. He wrapped his strong arm around the body in front of him to press it flush against him; chest to back.

Seductively, he wrapped one hand around the slender throat he just kissed. His other hand wandered down, scraping over the soft skin with it's calloused fingertips from years of battle, until he reached the patch of coarse hair. He could feel the heat of a very hard cock radiating from there... Although he wasn’t even touching it yet.

He nuzzled his face into the glorious, black locks, while he rubbed his own erection in the cleft of the wonderfully soft, but toned, ass that was pressed up to him.
