So I'll go fuck myself 'til I'm too lonely to feel
Dance like a court jester just for a film with no reel
And I'll lose all of my friends when I'm no longer ideal
And then get scolded again just to come home to no meal
Satin, the slime, rocked back and forth quietly as lavender ears moved, listening for her prey. Did she need the bounty? No. Did she need time to figure out the finish to her second book? Yes. Her publisher was getting impatient and seemed to have trouble understanding the concept of wrapping up all her anecdotal adventures and lessons into one big finale of wisdom being the hardest part of the book. Especially if she expected to keep up the sales numbers from the original. She definitely wanted to ignore the problem of coming up with a title for now as well. Titling something is just the worst part sometimes.
A slight rustling sound and her ears perked, heterochromial orbs closed, and Satin went still. She sniffed the air quietly for a moment and her eyes opened, and sharp teeth flashed as she grinned. Unless the critters in this section of the forest had learned to use leather oil, the scent of which drifted her way from the same direction as the noise, then she was about to collect a nice little profit, and let the Loche clan know the poacher near their area wouldn't be a problem for them or Tailfeather anymore.
She and Satin moved slowly thru the brush, utilizing a game trail to minimize their disturbance. Cashmere grinned wider when she heard the bounty slip into the water ahead, making sounds indicating the spring was just a bit brisk today. He'd hear less and be unarmed... practically volunteering to be caught, how nice of him. Cashmere nodded slightly in one direction and Satin slooshed off in that direction. When her miqo'te ears picked up the small surprised sound of a man, she knew Satin was doing her job and the prey would be faced away from her. She left her bow on her back since she knew he'd be unarmed and rushed out of the bushes.
The midlander was scruffier than the art on his wanted flyers but it was definitely him. He'd also been just smart enough to leave his loaded crossbow fairly close to his position at the edge of the water, but then made two mistakes. The first was he placed it on the ground as he entered the water, so it was pointed towards him and the second was he'd moved too far to observe Satin to move back over to his crossbow in time. Seeing the crossbow, Cashmere had immediately gone into a tuck and roll, pulling a boot knife out and she reached the weapon in time to cut the sinew, letting all the tension not only release the projectile (mostly into the ground) but render the crossbow itself useless.
She motioned, knife in hand, for the man to exit the small pond. "Wrists crossed behind your back please. I can collect the bounty on you, no matter the state you're in and unless you've got something quite impressive hidden somewhere most avoid, I'd say you're at a severe disadvantage here. I'm also just... not the bounty hunter you want to try your luck against. Trust me." One hand held the knife to his chin and her other grabbed a pre-knotted rope from her side, slipped it over his hands, and tugged a line until it was tight on his wrists. Then she marched him to Tailfeather.

Throwin' out some kinda vibes today, idek what. Entirely too many clothes on to be honest, but the tightpants sans tee look is one very few can pull off... not sure if I'm there yet. Quick circuit session today to account for the beers I'm about to put down.
Had the 30s on + 20s rest timer on for 8 circuits of: row + jump rope + air bike + speed bag.
A-Z catalog lands on August Burns Red. An interesting one, because for about a year or so, Thrill Seeker was about all I listened to! Went through a Solid State phase I guess that was fairly short lived. Regardless, this album still whips, even though I've not really listened all that much in years. I think they're still cranking out albums? Idk. "Your Little Suburbia is in Ruins" is a proper kick to the teeth to start a record. Dig it.
