One of my fanfic philosophies is that I often go to fanfiction for couples with issues or tension and via fic that either worsens or gets cured. If a show has a cute wholesome couple in canon I am less likely to read fic for that couple because I have all that I desire for them in canon. There’s not much spice to work with, you hand me a couple with issues up the wazoo, I’ll read so much fic that makes them better or worse.

"Taken" Fanfic Theme Song

@from-the-coffee-shop-in-edoras You asked me what song inspo for this fic I was referring to in a post I made a few days ago, and here it is!

There are MANY versions of "As Long As You're Mine" from Wicked, but I recommend looking up YouTube clips of the Broadway performances for the extra romance factor. <3

I did NOT write that love scene in Taken Pt. 3 with this song in mind. The fact that the lyrics ended up fitting so perfectly with the scene and the story, was entirely coincidental, and I was floored when I realized it after browsing my Broadway playlist. Maybe this beautiful song is just rooted in my subconscious!
