Also, just in case you want to, can you make something about a hero and a villain getting married in secret? I really love that trope

Thank you! :) I try to get my writing seen because whenever I’d read hero x villain stories there were rarely ever any lesbian/sapphic ones and wlw deserve to see themselves represented in stories. Sapphic romances and stories are severely underrepresented and as a lesbian I want to make these types of stories accessible for everybody. <3

“Shh.” Villain smiled, guiding Hero down the path. She squeezed onto Hero’s hands.

Hero giggles, then bit her lip, walking forward onto the cobbled pathway. “Should I be worried about where you’re taking me?” Her full trust was in Villain, but still, her girlfriend enjoyed pulling pranks on Hero from time to time.

Nothing horrible. But an inconvenience that led to…interesting circumstances, nonetheless.

“It’s because I want to surprise you, darling. Can your wonderful girlfriend not do that for you?” Villain replied. Her voice was honey. Soft and gooey in a way that made Hero melt.

The wedding wasn’t a well-seamed plan that had been prepared for months beforehand where even the miniature details were primped to perfection. No, it was a plan that Villain slapped together last night when Hero had pressed her forehead to her lover’s and confessed that she wanted to be more than girlfriends, but that she was scared of what would happen if anybody found out about their…’friendship.’

While the wedding wouldn’t have any guests to behold the ceremony, it was better that way. Villain thought so. Hero Hero Villain weren’t bugs under a microscope for prying eyes to rip apart and judge. Their heart’s weren’t being scrutinized by people who didn’t understand or want to understand that they loved each other; if the wedding was secret, then nobody would glare at them as if their affections were an odd experiment to poke at. Nobody would get hurt this way.

“Are we outside?” Hero questioned, following where Villain led her. She held on tighter as the path disappeared from under her feet, and instead she felt a tickle of grass at her ankles. “Villain, what are you up to?”

“You’ll see.” Villain gently untied the blindfold.

They were outside; the sun faded into hues of dark orange and purple off in the distance. Lavender flowers billowed into the faint breezes that ruffled over the field. Hero’s jaw dropped, a near perfect O. “Villain.”

“We’re getting married.” Villain said, taking Hero’s hands in her’s. “There’s nobody here to watch us…it’s private. I want to marry you. I love you, and if you want to progress our relationship, then we should, because I want that too.”

Villain Hero’s knuckles, bending down to press a soft kiss to them.

Blissfully, Hero sighed, gazing out at the field. Lavender was her favorite. “Are we going to say any vows?”

“What do you want, darling?”

Hero lifted Villain’s head. “I want to kiss you and never stop, and us to love each other forevermore.”

“Should I say ‘I do’ to that?” Villain asked, grinning.

Hungrily, kissed Hero’s lips, and she kept going back for more, a fire burning inside of her to love her as passionately as she could. Hero pulled away, taking a breath of the air, and then went back.

It was a good thing that there were no guests. There were no older relatives to scandalize with the passionate, perhaps even overzealous display of affection. No heroes were around to arrest the pair for fraternization, and no villains to cause mayhem. There was no fancy white dress or any elaborate hair and makeup to fret about dirtying as they tumbled to the ground, gasping and giggling as they wrestled.

When they gave up play fighting, they rested side by side, looking up into the last few colors in the sunset before the night fully took hold of the sky.

“I’m glad that we did this.” Hero murmured.

“Me too.”

“I totally would’ve won the fight, by the way.”

“Sure, darling. Whatever you want to think.”

When is it my turn for somebody to take me to a lavender field then play fight with me in the flowers? 😤

Grabbing these tags from @grelleswife 's ask post and running with them because yes! Yes to soft mlm, yes to fluffy mlm rep and stories, and yes to complexity!

Mlm, wlw, and every single other queer person deserves to have fluffy stories, both fanmade and not created about them. Like she says in her tags, mainlining a focus limits representation.

Fluffy, kind, syrupy sweet, gentle stories should be written. About emotions, and feelings and love, and also, yes, sex.

And stories that are rough, and difficult, and painful.

Because people are like that.

People are kind, and gentle, they stand in the sun and tip their faces up like cats, and will prop up a little bush on their way to work, and give directions, and dance a little bit to music leaking from shops, and hold hands just because it's nice, and kiss softly because they're overflowing with love, and touch and buy flowers and trinkets and your favorite brand of peanut butter just because they want to.

And people are messy. They say hurtful things, out of intentional malice and simple lack of caring, they slam doors and throw dishes and break things. They will spit and scream and degrade. Some are neglectful, to full of their own self to have room for anyone else, some will actively seek out your harm, being purposeful in their pain. They're overprotective to point of domineering, possessive to the point of crippling.

Some relationships are only about sex, some don't involve it all, some are in between on the scale.

But all of it should be shown, because a human being has the capability to be all of these things, and more, and to only ever show one part, is damaging.

That doesn't mean every story should have every example stuffed into it, they would break apart that way, and that doesn't mean every creator is obligated to create each and every type, that's too much to ask or expect.

But mlm, (and all the rest of you), we are diverse in every way, and we deserve stories, and, in fact, so many stories that it's possible for all kinds to be told, so that our representation can be as multifaceted as we are.

Because it is in that way that we see ourselves, and others, as being as fully human as we actually are.

Constantly mainlining on only one aspect, sexual or otherwise, in fandom or otherwise, and only presenting that, ends up becoming dehumanizing.

Look, I get it--Poppy fufills some of y'alls fetished version of a 'soft uwu asian wlw' girlfriend (which is honestly really gross in it of itself) but I'm a black wlw. Y'all see how the BLACK comes first? I want representation as much as other wlw, I really do, and an enemies to lovers plot CAN be done correctly. The fact that y'all are really simping for a classist racist girl who knowingly and intentionally drugged another student at one point, victim shamed MC after the Benji inccident, and performed that utterly DISGUSTING and RACIST act at her fucking party with Zoey just proves what black players and black fandom members have always known. Once again, a majority of white players (whether straight or wlw) will prioritize whatever benifets them rather than what is fair. Y'all can't see PB is CLEARLY queer-bating y'all? Wake up--Poppy is a BAD PERSON who has done irredemable damage to MC and Zoey and many others to get what she wants. Wlw deserve BETTER, but do not take crumbs when it means excusing her shitty ass attitude and overall terrible acting.

Unpopular Opinion: As much as I enjoy Rachel x Chloe and the wlw we do get in the series, why does it feel like Rachel falls under the category of performative bisexuality? I felt her possibly being bisexual wasn't taken seriously and when she kisses Chloe in a way it makes it seem like she just kissed her so she would get her out of Arcadia Bay. Same with Chloe and Max, their kiss and romance aren't taken that seriously and played off as 2 friends daring to kiss each other. I feel Rachel is bi and that she did have feelings for Chloe but at one point did she lose them for her over time. I hate the way the game treats its LGBTQ relationships so much because I would rather have no representation than shitty representation that frames itself as good rep. I really hope that Alex can actually say she's bi or pan rather than just her dancing around it. I truly wish more people saw how the game needs a better LGBTQ rep rather than its kinda shitty rep of them dancing around words such as gay and bi and never labeling their character's sexuality.

Yeah....it really is shitty representation.

Rachel came off as wanting to convince Chloe anything so they could leave together(notice how little fucking kissing we got in episode 3 or any soft content? Rachel spends 90% of the episode in the hospital and apparently most of the goddamn Amberprice content being planned was cut) I'm one of the biggest Amberprice shippers out there, but even I admit it feels like Rachel grew apart from Chloe.

And boy, Max and Chloe kiss in episode 3 just felt like 2 best friends kissing after truth or dare. We only get a genuine kiss if Chloe sacrifices herself. Like not only does Chloe only get character development when she sacrifices herself, but the only moment we genuinely get a kiss between Max and Chloe is when Chloe sacrifices herself.

And even though I like Pricefield to an extent, even if I ignore how badly Chloe can treat Max at times, their relationship to me is that of two best friends who are as close as sisters.

Like we really deserve better LGBTQ representation. I have a feeling we'll get that with Alex, but I will not be getting TC for some time due to how fucking bad the remastered LIS and BTS look, I'm sorry I am not spending $100 on the Ultimate Edition for this bullshit

You know what? There was something interesting I managed to salvage from the mess of whatboutisms. See, in the comments Levi transcribed one of his points about how I cultivated a diverse audience, yet never told that audience that I’m only interested in serving one kind of person and leave everyone else feeling left out.

Now that particular point is a round of nonsense because I have pretty much done the same thing for 12 years now: Make content I want to see.

I write soft wlw romance because I want to see it and I wasn’t getting it anywhere else. I made videos that were unapolegetic and refused to coddle the audience because I was sick to death of Youtubers doing that. I made content that appealed to me, and the audience came in naturally.

If you build it, they will come.

Levi can claim to speak for all LGBT people, but I have a diverse LGBT audience that enjoys my work. It’s why they’re here. It’s what attracted them in the first place. I have yet to hear an actual complaint about my uneven representation. The closest thing to it is when the vultures use my particular taste to then accuse me of bigotry.

You know why I don’t write mlm romance? Don’t want to. Simple as. I just don’t want to. It’s not for adversarial purposes, I’d just rather write something else. And that’s never been a contentious statement to anyone who wasn’t acting in bad faith.

I make soft lesbian content because I can’t get it anywhere else, so I had to make it myself. You wish I made content featuring mlm pairings or ace characters? Make that content. Because chances are other people want it as well. If you build it, they will come.

And one of those people will probably be me. Because as much as I don’t like writing certain things, I love reading them. I loved reading Magical Metamorphosis, and I barely have any trans characters to my name. I like reading stories about trans women, I’d just rather it not be written by me. I’d rather it be... ya know... good.

Just because Lily Orchard isn’t making it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve to exist. I’m saying this explicitly because I know there are people trying to gaslight my audience into thinking I don’t believe they deserve representation. You do deserve representation. I’ve always strived to make my channel and blog an inclusive space for LGBT people. This is a place free of aphobia, free of transphobia, free of biphobia, free of exclusionist rhetoric of any kind and which will NEVER tolerate that rhetoric.

It’s also a place where I write self-indulgent fluff about traumatized women comforting eachother.

Those two things are not at odds with one another, no matter what someone might want to tell you in order to feel better about themselves. For whatever reason, I don’t know why, Levi is very upset that I’ve created a safe space for all LGBT people that refuses to tolerate exclusionist rhetoric, and he has now gone onto two screeds trying to destroy it.

I don’t care what Levi says about me. People say gross shit about me all the time, it only affects me when it boils past a certain point. I won’t lose sleep over the fact that this one miserable, bitter man who is clearly unhappy with his life doesn’t like me.

But I do care that he might get some people to think that I hate them for who they are. That he might get people to think that they aren’t welcome in these spaces. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I welcome people into my community to share their work with others.

I don’t write mlm relationships. I don’t write trans characters. I don’t write ace or aro characters.

But people in my Discord do. I think you might like what they have to share.

In fact, tomorrow I’m going to make all-new channels in the Discord server dedicated to people being able to share their fics and stories. Because who says that I can’t manufacture something positive out of Levi’s delusional fucking nonsense.

Queen B + Romancing the ladies

Honestly, I don’t think the direction of Queen B is looking well, especially for people who want to romance the ladies (aside from Ina of course). But a lot of people (including me) is not comfortable romancing the prof. And as a wlw playing this game, I have to share a few thoughts.

So I want to discuss the other female LIs and the other potentials

First of all, let’s start with Zoey Wade. As a confirmed LI since the beginning, her treatment in the series is by far the most disappointing. It’s so tiring to complaint about the same thing all over again each week, but here we are. We got to kiss her since chapter 2, then constantly flirt with her. But she’s being sidelined so hard by turning her to a walking wardrobe and supportive friend who keep pushing us to the prof.

Our first diamond scene happened in chapter 8, and only happened if we bought he dress for the prof.

None of the romantic option brings our relationship to the next level, even though we had the option to confess to her. “Zoey, I want you, not the professor.” (Chapter 9), which is once again, ended up with her pushing us to the prof.

Chapter 10, we did have a cute scene with her massaging us, but it only ends up with us making out on the bed. This is ridiculous when we could hook up with the others so easily if we have diamond scene with them. But with Zoey, we always stay bff.

Is this an attempt of slowburn romance? This could be handled much better if we get more zoey x mc, hinting about their growing feelings. Zoey is an interesting character. She’s drop dead gorgeous and charming, but there’s never any chance to let her personality shine. At least they could show Zoey being a bit conflicted about pushing us to the prof anymore. .

Then chapter 11 happened and - I don’t know anymore. It was incredibly painful to see, and honestly it was really hard to finish the chapter. What happened to Zoey was cruel, it’s too much, it’s unnecessary. If this was an attempt from PB for a social commentary, then there are waaay better other ways to address in my opinion.

Which brings us to Poppy Min-Sinclair. I know, I know, some of you are asking, “Why are you guys so disappointed? She’s the villain since the beginning, you guys are just dumb.” First of all, I’ve explained before that I’m here for the potential. I only played choices because of her and it’s all because I saw snippets of chapter 6. When they hinted that soft side of her, as a wlw, I immediately see the appeal because it has such a big potential to be a compelling enemies to lovers story. You cant blame us for feeling this way when there are tons of straight pairings (with problematic men) with this trope, and they get redemption + end up together. Why can we have the same chance?

However, the way PB literally drove her to the point where she’s completely irredeemable after chapter 11, throwing away all of her potentials. I just don’t understand why they still write hint of attraction between them though.

Do I ever expect her to be a real LI at the end? Honestly, not really. But I believe that Poppy COULD be a very interesting complex ‘mean girl’, especially after they teased a bit of her family problem in chapter 10. And this would also take Queen B to a very interesting turn with the shift of dynamic. But well, since they choose to ‘basic mean girl’ route - what can I say more aside from ‘wasted potential’

Both Veronica Lombardi and Chloe St. James only appear several times so far. They are far from being an LI, but still, these two being Love interests would open so many more interesting routes for the plot.

I personally can’t see where the direction is going on. The things between MC and Poppy has escalated from petty fights to actual nasty stuff and all of them are just too much for me.

So in short, Zoey got sidelined so hard and now driven away, Poppy is now irredeemable, Veronica and Zoey are not really there. People who want to romance the ladies, especially wlws don’t have many options huh. I really hope that we can still get Zoey back somehow, but with how they handle her character since the beginning, eh, I don’t think it will be a rewarding experience.

Don’t get me wrong, you can still have fun with this book, especially if you love the prof, loves to be bad bitches and wreck shit up.

But from my personal opinion as a wlw who expect that I can at least have a good time romancing the ladies (romance, not casual hook ups), after 11 chapters, I don’t think Queen B is the right book if you’re looking for this.

I’m writing this as a feedback to PB since you said that you value player’s happiness. Well, I’m devastated. I think that there are so many missed opportunities in this book. and I’m just hoping that you’re more serious in giving wlws a well deserved representation in the future. What happened to Zoey certainly does NOT look like a serious attempt in giving us a female LI.

As for now, no, I won’t be playing Queen B again. Like what I wrote before, I don’t think this book is right for me. But I will be lurking, maybe.

This is purely my personal opinion.

Hi! I saw you recently answered anons and i really don't get why you think we should get a Kieu My season. She seems so mean and arrogant and i'd rather have Fatou or Ava as a main cause at least they are developed more and we get to see more of them next season since there's a lack of rep for black characters on Druck in general. Also Fatou deserves a better love interest who is not a bully maybe even Mailin, don't you think?

alright okay i guess i’ll get into this properly you brought up a lot of points so i’m gonna do one after the other

(this got long so it’s under a read more)

development: i’ve seen this argument several times that because fatou and ava are more developed characters that that means they’re more likely to be future mains but for me the opposite is actually true?? because we already know them to some extent it would make more sense to me to give the characters we don’t really know yet the same treatment?? like druck introduced SO many new characters this season and they did a really good job to flesh out the cashqueens and josh and zoe in nora’s season (so the main players) and i just don’t think they’d introduce a whole squad who was front and center in the trailer and who we know very little about just to not give them the same treatment. Yes ava and fatou are the only ones right now that have like their own little sl and I definitely think it’s setup for the future but if you did a fatou season you can’t develop the instas unless she starts hangning out with them and actually makes friends with them so she’d get to know them and i just don’t really see that happen.

rep: yes it’s true that druck does not have the best track record with back characters since sam is still sadly one of the least developed characters of the old gen there’s no denying that but to me the way they are developing ava and fatou and aren’t like ignoring the racism that would affect them for example (like in the brandenburg saga) shows that they’re trying to make amends and change that. plus they introduced two black and two east-asian characters so idk i always thought it would make sense to make one of each a main so it’s not like druck is giving a season that could go to a black girl to a white one you know? this is still also much needed representation (i legit can’t think of the last asian character i’ve seen on german tv??)

ava: while yes it’s true that with huelk and her backstory with the instas ava already has all the ingredients for her season i think it would make more sense to be the main in s7 (because she will be main at some point i’m convinced) because the huelk sl has completely happened off screen?? that only ever happened in chats and there is still an insane amount of ppl who only watch the whole eps so until they actually throw that in on screen i just think we’re gonna have to wait with development on that front

kieu my: kieu my was actually the only insta squad member who has appeared without the others lately (except zoe) she popped up every week very alone and being way more approachable and nicer than she did before and even had screentime with fatou and everything and we’ve been seeing her more and more as the last weeks of nora’s season go on and i just don’t think this is happening for no reason to me it just feels like they’re already having a soft launch if u know what i mean lmao

plus like since the beginning of time has this fandom been demanding a wlw season (with good right!!) and the team taking over next season is queer themselves so it just has got to be a kieu my season imo but yeah i guess we’ll see either way haha i might be completely wrong

2. Iced Tea by @kaunis-sielu | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader I don’t think there’s an official summary for this fic ( @kaunis-sielu pls correct me if I’m wrong) BUT LEMME TELL YALL. I AM A SUCKER FOR BIKER FICS. WE LOVE BIKER STEVE. This was 100% FLUFFY and we LOVE IT. Amazing job!!!!!!

This smut took my soul and dragged me to hell and back. I am a SUCKER for Bucky fics but this one like took my life away. If you’re not convinced, ask @wxstedhexrt how much I cried reading it lol. anyways an amazing series that I will continue to go back reading again and again because i LOVE wlw fics <3

5. Oh no, that’s bad by @andyl394 | Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader You’re a college student, you’re mad angry, Bucky ruins your paper, that’s not good is it? I read through this 20-part series like there was NO TOMORROW and god DAMN. We love hilarious social media AUs but this one really killed me. I always love Bucky who is soft and shy in fics but the Bucky in this fic was a LITTLE SHIT and i had so much ANGST. Anyways, if you read this fic, you may want to slap the characters BUT I PROMISE THERES AN ADORABLE HAPPY ENDING!!!! 100% INCREDIBLE

6. Home by @evanstush | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader It’s been 2 years since the last battle and it’s now Morgan’s 7th birthday, and well, Tony being Tony, he prepared a small party for her little girl, inviting everyone from the team, including you. So Kate decided to rip my heart out with this fic and have me on my knees sobbing so that’s cool. That’s it, that’s all I have to say. JK, this fic actually is like half and half FLUFF and ANGST but lord is it worth it. Kate, you know I adore you so much and your fics play a big part in why! God this girl deserves more love on these stories because holy shit I’m DEAD.

7. Baby Self by @honeyloverogers | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader Alternative to Babies! Assemble, What if it was you that got turned into a baby instead? YALL WANT FUCKING FLUFF!?!?!?! 1000000000% FLUFFFFFFF AND CUTENESSSSSS (with like a little bit of a piece of shit lady who comes around but like its cool because a baby says fuck lol) THIS WAS A FIC WRITTEN LIKE NO OTHER. i saw this in a bughead blog and i wanted to ask you too 🥺️ rate, on a scale from 1 to 10, the canon riverdale ships, either just the main/current ones (bughead, varchie, choni, kangs, falice) or the main ones *and* the passing ones (add in veggie, archosie, josiepea, valarchie, mevin, joavin, gladsythe, etc)! hope the buggies aren't angry for copying the ask 😘

hey nonnie! haha i don’t think the buggies will mind! anyway ok, let’s do this. let it be said that all of these ships are better in their fanon version than the canon one. fanfiction fixes everything, y’all.

bughead: 6.5/10 - listen, s1 bughead to me was chef’s kiss. i adore their soft, nerdy side with the investigative duo trope. but after s2 at least to me... i can only see glimpses of the ship i loved so much in the past and i’ll hold on to that ship forever, but i feel like their essence derailed a little after s2′s arc. but still, in canon and with the way the show is written, they’re very solid and i don’t see any other ship with these characters that is or could be more compatible or interesting. although i would like to see how they behave in other relationships (except for b/rchie for god’s sake, this shame i won’t bring to my family). but yeah.

varchie: 9.5/10 - they are my favorite thing in this show and it’s a ship made of my two favorite characters, but i recognize that there’s a lot about them in canon that could be done in a better way (yes, i know archie cheated, but it was so... off... that i can’t even start to understand and it’s clear that they did that for drama, and that they wanted archie to be the weak link because, well), the writing of the characters actually could be so much better and have so much more depth. this is why i write so much for them. but anyway, soulmates, star-crossed lovers, crazy about each other, taught each other what it means to love, meant to be, no matter how much they hurt each other or fight each other they’ll always find their way back.

ch*ni: 2/10 - i just... look, i understand the entire concept and i am so glad there’s some wlw representation, especially with cheryl who was a character that had wlw vibes from the beginning, but it’s just sloppy writing overall and their chemistry, in my honest opinion, doesn’t overcome the sloppy writing. they are cute, but the whole ordeal is just not my cup of tea, cause i don’t see it. i don’t know if that’s understandable and i’m sorry if it offends anyone.

kangs: 4/10 - they’re cute (fangs is cute, kevin is cute, so! cuteness overall) but i don’t feel a lot for them. again, all the sloppy writing in the lgbt representation of this show.

f*lice: -30/10 - nope. WHY WAS THIS NEEDED I’LL NEVER UNDERSTAND.

veggie: 6.5/10 - the way i was veggie’s biggest fan before they happened for real, and it’s not even because i don’t like them - I STILL DO - but again, the sloppy writing cannot let me ship them for real in canon. i understand what they tried to do, and it would’ve been A+ if they had managed to do it, but they didn’t. points are not lower because i really love reggie and they look very hot together.

archosie: 4/10 - another neutral opinion because i have not really watched any archosie episodes. i feel like they were cute, but they wanted to be something they really weren’t feeling... imo again. (1000x better than b/rchie tho)

josiepea: 5/10 - i thought their mini arc was the sweetest thing ALTHOUGH of course we didn’t see much, because god forbid poc representation take over five minutes, but anyway, it was SWEET, who knew sp was such a softie. i wish we’d seen more (and i wish we’d seen more of chuck/josie too!)

valarchie: 4/10 - i actually liked them although it was very clear to me that this arc was about transitioning from gr*ndy to veronica, which well... i wish we had seen more val though.

mevin: 8/10 - MY MISUNDERSTOOD CHILDREN, you don’t understand. mevin was my first ship in riverdale from the moment kevin talked about him in the pilot and for some reason they keep coming back to me and being taken away again and uuugh the pain. i like them not only for the trope, but because i really feel like they were the only kevin ship that ras put some effort on, and anyway, my biggest tears. i can’t wait for s9e23 when moose comes back from the war to marry my son.

joavin: 1/10 - i don’t think i’d dislike joavin as much if the shippers weren’t so 🥴️ saying joaquin was better for kevin than moose because moose wasn’t out and was having some weird relationship with midge, when joaquin was literally using kevin, but anyway. trash.

gladsythe: 7.5/10 - i had a different vision of gladys in my head but when she showed up and interacted with fp i was like, yes. that’s it. the fact that two badass parents produced such a brooding child like jughead makes me cackle. lower points are only because... fp isn’t a hero and gladys isn’t a big bad wolf. but anyway, the joneses! love it.

mcmantle: 5/10 - didn’t love them or hate them but they deserved better.

Maybe it’s because I’m still not over how the writers just up and offed Clover and are trying to use the ship he had with Qrow for marketing purposes, but still.- If they hadn’t done that, maybe there wouldn’t be as much backlash for what they did?

I highly doubt that.

They promoted Qrover (And that’s the name I’ll be using to avoid getting into the proper ship tags) for the sake of merchandise. They do the same with Blang (The name I’ll be using for the Blake x Yang ship to avoid getting into their tags as well), it simply seems as if these ships are just there to keep an audience invested in the show for the hope that their ship will become canon before the final episode of the series.

Yeah, the front page of their ‘featured’ section (which would tell you how they market the show) has three pieces of possible shipping merch...and it’s Renora and White Rose. NOT Bumbleby OR Fair Game. And I do mean ‘possible’ because one could debate that since Ren and Nora are always paired together and considering White Rose is so ignored by the fandom equally ‘shippy’ moments are widely ignored- it’s not inherently romantic.

In fact, none of the three given pages have Bumbleby merch. The closest is the Yang Vs. Adam hoodie...which excludes BLAKE. SO it’s closer to Yang X Adam merch.

But maybe that’s not enough for you. Let’s switch to the ‘Best Selling’ selection. Of that we have...one shippy piece of merch. The same Renora piece from before. Odd, considering if they’re using shipping to sell the show: Why isn’t the merch, the open support of the show, flooded with shipping merch? Why is both the stuff they are pushing people to buy AND the stuff people are buying NOT showing up?

Seems rather counter intuitive ...unless they AREN’T doing that.

This post was made about a month after the finale. If miles pulls the same thing that LoK did with the LGBT+ characters in his show, not only is that hypocritical (As he would be doing the exact same thing that LoK did), but it would also be significantly worse.

Actually he fundamentally can’t. Because Miles wrote in at least three LGBT characters already into the show. So he’s being better by your standards.

Not only was LoK screwed by the network numerous times in regards to their budget, but they were also forced to not make the relationship between Korra and Asami as overt as they would have liked.

And so was RWBY screwed with budget AND resources by Gray. Andd yet no word from you on that...

And again- Already showed at least three characters being lesbians, if not five since Scarlet and Nolan are gay in Before The Dawn, a book written under Miles and Kerry’s supervision.

What network is keeping the writers from doing the same thing with stuff like Blang, Qrover, or whatever the ship name is for Terra and Saphron? Why do they only get hand holding, soft looks™, and confirmation outside of the canon show?

Bumbleby- Canonical status unconfirmed.

Fair Game- Never intended to be a ship. It was just a reference to the waitress back in Volume 4 along with the usual shipping exaggeration.

Terra X Saphron- They literally have a fucking child together.

Other shows like She-Ra, Steven Universe, and Black Lightning managed to have LGBT+ Representation in their shows despite the networks trying to reign them in. So a show that has no such restrictions can’t do it because…?

They have. You’re choosing to ignore it.

To say nothing of the quality of these since Steven Universe is the only respected one and is rather unique in comparison.

Nora and Pyrrha can forcibly kiss Ren and Jaune respectively, but Same-Sex couples have to settle for elementary-school crush stuff?

Terra and Saphron have a fucking kid. And two of your examples are bullshit.

Meanwhile, how are those ships fairing again? ... One is permenantly sunk and wasn’t even confirmed considering Jaune’s feelings for Pyrrha are not confirmed to be romantic and the other is having massive issues that could sink any romantic connections?

And how do people like you react to any kind of strife regarding same sex stuff? ... Called Illa a psycho lesbian despite being significantly more stable, regretful and safer than her straight counterpart Adam?

Yeah, why don’t YOU tell me why a fanbase known for being abusive towards the creators and hounded them for YEARS about this shit isn’t being fed?

Also, this is a dick move. $16.00 for a sunk ship? Not only that, it’s a sunk mlm ship. A kind of representation that hasn’t gotten any real representation outside of Scarlet? And even then, that was confirmed in a different book.

More like a set of pins that can be used for cosplay.

TBH, mlm shippers have every right to be upset about this.

Straight shippers have had the biggest ship sunk and permanently in limbo (Arkos) and the second one is going through a massive rough patch (Renora) while the third and fourth are regularly decried as pedophilia (Lancaster and Rose Garden) if not outright abuse (Tauradonna).

The others get confirmed ships but not the ones they wanted. Boo fucking hoo.

Whether the writers intended to or not, Qrover was coded, and they queerbaited.

Queerbaiting is a marketing technique for fiction and entertainment[6] in which creators hint at, but then do not actually depict, same-sex romance or other LGBTQ representation.[7] They do so to attract ("bait") a queer or straight ally audience with the suggestion of relationships or characters that appeal to them,[8] while at the same time attempting to avoid alienating other consumers.[6][9]

They literally CANNOT do that by definition. There are same sex relationships AND characters to connect to. If you try promoting this vague and broad definition of queerbaiting-

Well, what’s to stop the Snowbird shippers from claiming they were straight baited with Winter and Qrow or Blake and Sun?

P.S. ‘Coding’ effectively means ‘I see stereotypes’ so you’re kind of being a douchebag here.

Let’s also remember that Pyrrha’s entire existence literally revolved around Jaune and she was meant to die to further his development. Jaune x Pyrrha was literally made to develop Jaune and pretty much only Jaune, with the other characters’ reaction to her death being an afterthought.

*cough* Ruby has gotten more development from Pyrrha’s death than Jaune *cough*

Then there was also that one Blang bag that cost like… $60.00. The writers are using these popular ships for merchandising usage and to try and reel in fans who are wlw or mlm with these ships.

Which is why they...don’t...show...up on...the...merch store...

Fun Fact: Dudeblade never shows the so called 60 dollar bag despite CLEARLY being able to screen shot images. So we’re expected to take his word for it despite not being honest in this very video.

They didn’t even have enough self-awareness to feel bad about it.

So how exactly are we supposed to trust them when they don’t realize what they did to the community?

He says as he ignores aspects of LGBT rep in RWBY, outright called a lesbian a psycho for daring to be an antagonist despite a much more unstable person to compare to and ignores the LGBT rep in other RT shows, including Camp Camp which has two heroic gay married men in the show.

Whether you ship Qrover or not, this was a massively dick move to pull. And these idiots have a lot of things to make up for it. If they choose to do it at all.

You know, that dick move you forced onto them.

And yet you doing worse (’Hey when is Miles gonna die so he can be replaced?’) deserves no making up?

Where were the guys who said that revealing that Pilot Boi was gay before offing him was a bad idea? Why did the writers not realize that this sort of stuff was going to come off as queerbaiting?

Probably because Eddy did it himself and didn’t know about this.

But really… Way to go RT. Your dumbass decision has now turned off members of the LGBT Community and caused some of them to cancel their subscriptions.

Hope that shock value was worth it.

Just like with Pyrrha, something you yourself even said before.

I fail to see how this is RT’s fault outside ‘you dared to exercise free will!’ considering that your logic would dictate changing the show the minute an LGBT ship becomes popular.

forgive me if i sound repetitive but friendly reminder that Legacies isn't worth watching only because of Posie (even though i would die for them in a heartbeat) and you should give it a shot and support it for an infinite list of reasons that i will try to sum-up in this post:

- Its wholesome, talented and diverse cast that deserves all the love in the world (only three actors are white and they couldn't have been recasted because their characters already existed in the TVD universe)

- every single character is complex, flawed and well-written and by the end of the series you end up loving and wanting to protect an entire school of supernatural kids.

- a lot of importance is given to the role of therapy in a (supernatural) teenager's life and talking about mental illnesses is never taboo. Lizzie is bipolar in canon and the way it is portrayed is realistic and respectful but there are also other characters that clearly show signs of depression, PTSD, ADHD ect. . Their mental illnesses, though, don't define them and don't stop them from being the heroes they can and want to be.

- the teenagers of this series are SO realistic and it's just impossible not to relate to them but they also give you hope for a better future. They make a lot of mistakes and act like dumbasses most of the time but they also learn from their wrong doings and try their best to be better, to do better.

- male characters don't fear being seen as vulnerable and they are shown crying numerous times during the season. Male friendships in Legacies throw toxic masculinity out of the window and are soft, delicate and wholesome.

- black male characters like MG and Kaleb destroy the harmful stereotype of black men being violent and aggressive and makes them two of the sweetest and most kind characters of the series.

- gender roles?? never heard of them. Male characters like Landon are the damsels in distress and female characters like Hope, Lizzie and Josie are the ones that save the world from eternal doom. Boys can be soft, delicate, gentle and in need of saving while girls can be tough, badass and snarky and viceversa, there are no ignorant prejudices that get in the way.

- heteronormativity??? what is that thing?? almost every character is LGBT (the four main witches are confirmed queer) and bisexuality/pansexuality and homosexuality are the norm in Legacies' world.

- this show is full of feminist content that is well inserted in the dialogues without sounding cringey or forced.

- the concept of discrimination against supernatural people is continuously used as a metaphor for real discrimination in our world against minorities.

- the show is comedy gold, it's absolutely hilarious and it will make you smile even on the worst of days, either for the funny or the soft and wholesome part.

- but also it will make you cry. but like. CRY.

- don't worry tho because this show is different from TVD and TO and you can feel safe, it won't be dark and painful as those two and people won't permanently die (please Julie don't betray me).

- the writing is really good, especially for a teen drama, and will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat every time.

- the supernatural lore is extremely fascinating and complex.

- if you're a multishipper this series will be your paradise because THERE ARE SO MANY VALID SHIPS OMG

- and then yeah there's Posie, one of the most well-written wlw ships of all time if you ask me. They are the second main ship of the series and they had a fair amount of screentime this season. The complexity and intensity of their dynamic is absolutely breathtaking and their story so far has been developed in the best way possible. It's angst, yeah, but it's GOOD and WELL WRITTEN angst.

so yeah, in conclusion, Legacies deserves so much more hype and support and y'all should do better than sleep on it just because it's a CW show.

The writers are doing such a great job and they want to do even better in terms of representation so, do you want better representation?

With the recent news of a potential Season 2 headed our way, it got me thinking...

I sincerely hope they continue to bless us with the undeniable beautiful portrayal of Juliantina. Please, by all means, give me more scenes of their tender hand holds, the gentle motions of tucking hair behind ears, the forehead touches, and the adorable neck nuzzles. Not to mention the overly cute giggling glances accompanied by excited lip bites! Give me all that heartwarming softness until I can't breathe!

But can we up the ante a bit and raise the stakes? Can we ask to see another side of their relationship come to life on screen? Think about it, this is their first wlw relationship, and we know they're canon Soulmates™ but ladies, can you recall your first love with a woman? How intensely and often quickly it built with a fiery passion! If you haven't experienced that yet, well then, what a better reason for Juliantina to represent that side. A side that unquestionably happens in wlw relationships.

So, (sorry not sorry but) I hope to see some authentic and relatable moments on screen where Juliantina can hardly keep their hands to themselves. I need to see provoking and Juliana being the one to initiate it. Why her especially? Because this is all so very new to her and her feelings would undoubtedly get the best of her. I need Juliana's guard to come down, allowing herself to not only receive love but feeling comfortable within herself to also give love.

Don't get me wrong, I know we've seen this a little bit. Remember Valle house and that kitchen scene? Or the deleted car scene? We had some potential there with those but both were frustratingly interrupted. (ofc) Can't we have some notable, heated, loving moments reflected on screen without a threat lurking around the corner? That's not so much to ask for, is it? Also, with cock blocking Lucho dead and all, I'd say there's no excuse to be a little more daring now that he's out of the picture.

Really, all I'm trying to say is that, these girls need some time to themselves to explore that overwhelming desire. That crave and irresistible pull that draws two people who are in love together. They deserve a moment where they can shut out the world, just the two of them together in their safe space, free of worry, free to be with each other passionately, growing comfortable with who they are as people and their love for one another. More importantly young women watching this show deserve to see that representation portrayed on screen. It happens for straight couples on TV all the time, and we need this characterization too.

Basically, just tell the producers to hire all the Juliantina FanFic writers and I'll be happy.

Also, bring back Lucía, pls.

RANT TIME (gonna put most of this under the cut because it might get a lil’ long)

How do people like this actually exist lmao.

“Sun did way more than Yang ever did to help Blake”? Like???? Are we forgetting about their talk in Burning the Candle? The fact that Yang was the reason Blake went to the dance in the first place? All of their small but important interactions throughout the entirety of the show?

Sure, Sun followed Blake to help her, but the reason Yang couldn’t was because she was too busy losing a fucking arm to Blake’s abuser, and then being unconscious because of said event. But obviously that means literally nothing to people like this because “RT is just biased to Bumblebee because it’s more popular than B/acksun”, even though several show staff have pretty clearly confirmed that fan influence had nothing to do with it and things have been planned from the beginning.

No hate towards B/acksun or anything (and I’m not saying people have to ship Bumbleby, either), but it’s like people like this don’t even think that there might be a reason Bumbleby is more popular. Bumbleby has had some really good buildup, but it’s like the antis are just so goddamn blind to what’s in front of them that they lash out at the slightest notion that they’re being proven wrong by both the Bumbleby fandom and even the actual show creators.

They say that they’re not homophobic, yet they described Blake and Yang’s “lesbian love” in a pretty grotesque way, and are expecting people to move on when it becomes canon because it’s “not even important to the show.”

Yes, because validating a solid romantic relationship between two strong, main, female characters is definitely unimportant to the show. And wlw representation is obviously unimportant to the fanbase, too. *eyeroll*

Blake and Yang’s relationship is honestly one of the most revolutionary things I have ever seen in a show in my life. Their buildup and chemistry is incredible, and it’s honestly such a fucking honour to watch their romance blossom because I have never seen anything like it before.

Bumbleby has had more onscreen buildup than Re/nora has had, and yet literally none of the antis are denying its canonicity. It’s obvious that the reason for that is because Re/nora is a straight ship, no matter how much antis might say otherwise (no hate on Re/nora, either. That ship is blessed).

Not to mention all of the parallels that Re/nora and Bumbleby have had thus far, such as the soft, lingering looks and the handholding, and just the similar scenes in general. When Ren and Nora do it, antis accept that it’s romantic. When Blake and Yang do it, the antis say it’s just a supportive friendship thing and that we’re either reaching for something that isn’t there or reading into things too much. But they’re “not homophobic”? Y’all are sending off some mixed fucking signals.

It doesn’t help that this person who left that comment about the Bees in the first place said that they’ll miss Adam, too. If you think Adam was a cool/interesting character, or you liked his design and/or fighting style or something, then that’s fine. But if you act pissy because he died and then proceed to hate on Blake and Yang’s relationship and the people who ship them, I’m gonna start to see a problem there, because Adam was an abusive, murderous stalker.

Despite how Adam was as a person, Blake and Yang didn’t celebrate his death. Adam was too far gone, and he kept refusing to leave whenever they gave him the opportunity to do so. His death was his own fault. Even after losing his sword, Adam was the first to launch himself towards a part of the broken Gambol Shroud on the ground to use as a weapon. Blake and Yang only ran after the pieces of the sword after they saw what Adam was trying to do, and acted in self defence because it was either kill or be killed at that point.

I’m also getting real sick of people acting like the writers have ruined Adam’s character for the sake of Bumbleby, which is just completely untrue. First off - as previously stated - some of the CRWBY literally confirmed that things involving Blake and Yang have been planned since the beginning.

Secondly, Adam was always like that. The only reason the whiny antis can’t see that is because, like Blake said, “Adam is strong, but his real power comes from control.” When he was controlling the White Fang, he was able to use the power that he had to appear as more than he was, because he was able to control those beneath him and make them believe in his violent sense of “justice.” We know full well that Adam has always liked having power over others because he knows how to twist people into believing in his contagiously dangerous sense of thinking. Ilia is a prime example of one of those people, though fortunately Blake was able to save her just before she was as far gone as Adam was.

As soon as Adam had nobody left to control, we began to see him as who he really was without the guise of power to hide behind. He has always been obsessed with Blake. Events in past volumes have evidenced that. And it was obvious that - one way or another - he was always going to come to justice at the hands of Blake and Yang. It was a requirement for their story arc. They both improved as characters over the course of volumes 4 and 5, and came back together, stronger than they were before. If they had somehow lost that fight, all of that character development would have been for nothing.

I’ve seen people saying that either Blake or Yang should have died in that fight, and my only thought on that front is what the fuck. You’d rather one of the main characters die at the hands of an abusive asshole than have the abusive asshole himself die? Could you imagine the controversy that would have sparked if Adam had killed one of them?

The scary thing about Adam’s character is that there are plenty of people just like him in real life who act like they have ownership over the person they’re in a relationship with. What kind of message would that have sent out to abuse victims if Blake or Yang had ended up dying at the hands of him? Adam may be a villain, but there are some things a writer just shouldn’t make a character do.

People see themselves in fictional characters. Plenty of abuse victims in the FNDM that I’ve seen see themselves in Blake. It would have been completely and utterly fucked up if CRWBY made people like that watch her die at the hands of her abuser onscreen, especially just when she’s on the verge of finally getting into the loving relationship with Yang that she’s always deserved. Because Blake is such a brave, strong character, and Blake and Yang’s love for each other is so evident and beautiful, and it deserves to be seen. And to any abuse victims that might be reading this now, you are a such a brave, strong person, and you deserve all the happiness in the world.

it’s only 11:30 but i’m feelin a bit like it’s 3AM so i’m gonna go ahead and write some stuff down (feel free to read/reblog or completely ignore, it’s just under a cut bc it’s VERY long and entirely unedited)

i was thinking abt this earlier today but juliantina has really made me feel safe and protected in these big wild inexplicable ways that i wasn’t expecting At All, like inexplicable to the point where i’m still not really capable of knowing it and Feeling it to the fullest extent

ofc on a logical level i v clearly understand what representation can do for people, and i thought that i also understood it on a personal level, esp during the loo and lgbtvdb. like i thought the community and the pride and the Fighting For What We Deserve stuff that happened then was the Peak of seeing the true impact of good (and bad) rep, but i’m realizing now that i still felt partially detached from cl*xa, purely bc those characters and that relationship didn’t speak to a particular Thing inside of me (not to say that cl*xa was not important to me bc Wow it was v v v important)

aam showed up after i had p much exclusively been in the grey’s fandom for like a year or two (it was a weird time) and i quite literally Forgot what it felt like to be a wlw surrounded by other wlw on tumblr. and i was like “this is gonna be bad, it’s a mexican telenovela” (i was dumb and hypocritical for thinking this, esp considering i used to be a HOE for chinese soaps)

i’m getting off track i’m not abt to give you a whole backstory for how i got into this fandom

basically the point is i went in w no expectations but ended up getting this ridiculously soft gay shit that highkey managed to get the main couple treatment, w the sexual tension and slow burn and cute flirting and kidnappings and dramatic fights and grand gestures of love and happy endings. i didn’t even know how to comprehend it dkfjskdf it freaked me out

the thing i realized today is that there’s smth abt them, which i still don’t understand, that Connects to me and makes me feel like their lives are a part of my life?? and it kind of floored me when it occurred to me that they provide this intimate representation i’ve somehow internalized in a much deeper way than i have w any other ship. i don’t want to say that i feel like i can live vicariously through them bc that’s not it dkfjsdf i don’t feel like i’m in love bc i’m watching them in love, but i guess i feel like i can be, or that i will be? and i’m getting this absolutely wild type of light rejuvenating persistent Joy from watching them be in love. somehow because of them, i have an easier time imagining myself as someone who can get that happiness and who can be in love and who can give myself over to someone and not be scared about it

i have no idea how to explain this, it’s starting to sound like every other post i’ve made abt this even though this one is Different dkfjsdfs god help me

it’s sort of like. i watched their story from beginning to end and i know it like the back of my hand, and it feels like they’re saying, “look, we figured everything out. we went through all of this shit and we figured it all out and we got our unambiguously successful, happy telenovela ending.” and it’s like they formed this weird protective Cloud around me as if to say, “we will be here for you to See and Remember while you figure your stuff out too, as long as it takes”

if that makes sense? idk

if i were to rationalize what is definitely a very Emotional thing (classic me), i would guess it’s because their story was so long and exhaustive while still making sense and being well-written (mostly), and i indeed see parts of myself in them (particularly in juls), so it makes me feel like if i ever encounter anything similar to the 3 million problems they encountered, i can turn to them and remind myself that there is a way (or multiple ways) that it can work out. but idk if that’s accurate

did you know that i actually can’t speak any language at all. none of this makes sense

like yeah ik it’s a telenovela and it’s over the top and unrealistic and blah blah blah, but their characters and the way they navigated their arcs became a very Real thing for me, like this weird Force that reminds me every day that i’m safe and protected, even when i don’t feel like i am, and that no matter what, i’m allowed to be me and i’m a lovable person and that i can and will find a way to be happy

scientists have yet to understand why this phenomenon has occurred with this particular ship at this particular point in time

maca and barb v much deserve a shout-out at this point. however i have made like 30 identical posts abt them in this regard and i’m rly tired so i’ll just say that they (maca in particular) make me feel safe and v loved. the main couple treatment, as mentioned previously, was cultivated v delicately by them purely bc they cared, and it is undoubtedly a HUGE reason i am making this post rn, and i will always have lots of Big Feelings abt that
