characters: Beidou / Ningguang / Hu Tao / Ganyu / Shenhe / Keqing / Yanfei / Yelan x gn!reader (seperate)

warnings: mentions of drinking and smoking in Beidou's/Ningguang's parts, but nothing serious, I guess

genre: fluff

a/n: Kinda wanted to write something ambitious today, so I decided to write for the Liyue women, for no particular reason

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Beidou

Whenever Beidou and her Crew returned back to Liyue or just finished a general voyage, the first thing on her to-do list was to host something that could easiest be described as a feast with her crew. It would rage for the entire night and at the end of it, you would have to drag a completely drunken Beidou out of there, causing everybody else to go, or get dragged, home too.

After Beidou had seemingly once again consumed too many drinks, you decided that it was time to get her home and to finish the feast. You hadn’t drunken much alcohol yourself, not being such a huge fan of it while also knowing that you would have to be the person dragging your captain out of there. but when you finally threw one of her arms around your shoulders, while grabbing her underneath the other one, preparing to get her home as fast as possible, you quickly realised that she had drunk much more than usual, starting to question how she was still somewhat conscious.

“Hey, you’re-”, Beidou continued speaking, only to get interrupted by a hiccup., but seemingly not getting deterred by it. “You’re pretty hot, are you single?”, she started hitting on you, making you let out a sigh.

“No, I’m not”, you answered truthfully, causing her to let out a disappointed sound.

“Well, your partner can consider themselves lucky”, she continued in her drunken slur.

“Beidou. We are dating for years now”, you reminded her. Her face immediately changed to a surprised one before letting out a small cheer.

“Woo, lucky me”, she tried lifting her hand to strike a triumphant pose but was too drunk to do so. And even though you couldn’t help but be slightly annoyed by how drunk she was, you couldn’t help but laugh about her behaviour.

Ningguang

Ningguang may not show it but being the most powerful person in the whole of Liyue was a stressing job, so whenever she finished her work, she would lean back in her chair and light herself her pipe. You may have told her countless times that smoking wasn’t good for her, as if she didn’t know it herself, but whenever she offered you a drag from her pipe, you would always accept one, but never more.

When you had opened the door to Ningguangs office, wanting to surprise her by paying her a small visit, you were greeted by an empty room, only to spot her silhouette on the balcony, making you let out a frustrated sigh almost immediately. So, when you marched next to her, greeting her before throwing a disapproving look on the pipe in her hand, she decided to skip the whole act you had almost every time and offered it to you instantly.

“No, thanks. Not again”, you responded, managing to slightly surprise her, but seemingly only for a moment before she continued smoking again.

“Hmm, normally you accept it”, she commented before glancing at you once again. “Did something happen today or are you simply not in the mood for it?”, she questioned you with the slightest hint of worry in her voice, only for you to shake your head a little.

“I mean, we both know that I always start coughing uncontrollably after trying it and that you always chuckle at my near-death experience afterwards”, you stated sarcastically, causing Ningguang to smile as she seemingly remembered what you were talking about.

“What a shame, it’s funny”, she stated absent minded before turning around and opening the door to her office. “I’m done with work, and you seemingly are too. Let’s get home.”

Hu Tao

Even though you had expected her to remain in her prankster attitude for the whole day, there were times even Hu Tao acted surprisingly calm or normal. There were of course the times the funeral parlour had a client, but even outside of work she would have less energy consuming hobbies. There were many times you would catch her just scribbling something on paper while staring off into the distance as if she was thinking about what next to write, so when you found out that she would be writing poems at that time, you couldn’t help but be interested in them.

Over the last couple weeks, you and Hu Tao would often find yourself writing poetry together, or rather, she wrote poetry, and you wrote… something. You weren’t too sure if what you put on paper could even come close to being called “poetry”, but Hu Tao acted surprisingly encouraging whenever she read them, giving you tips and tricks on how to improve while reading you her own works.

“Are you done yet?”, Hu Tao asked after popping up behind you and leaning over your shoulder, looking at your paper while you tried your best to hide the words.

“I think but let me read over it one last time”, you answered, feeling more than just a bit embarrassed. You had expected her works to be playful and non-serious like most things she did, an assumption which made you feel a bit less bad, but when you read her poems and found out how objectively good they were, you would begin to feel nervous about “competing” against a pro.

“I think I’m done now”, you stated before handing her the paper, only for her to immediately grab it and shove her own work into your hands, starting to excitedly read it. You decided to do the same, expecting the same performance on her part as ever, but instead being surprised when the poem in your hands was the cheesiest love poem you ever read. When you put the paper down, your face completely red from embarrassment, you were greeted by Hu Tao smiling at you mischievously.

“Did you like it?”

“I-I guess”, you stuttered out your answer.

“’I guess’? That’s all? C’mon, I didn’t write such a bad and cheesy thing for such an underperforming reaction”, she exclaimed almost sounding insulted, causing you to get slightly panicked.

“What kind of reaction did you expect?”, you quickly asked.

“Laughing, something like that. You’ve been somewhat gloomy the entire day, so I thought writing something like this would cheer you up”, she admitted, revealing herself to not be as clueless when it came to others emotions as you had made her out to be, causing you to smile.

“Thanks, that’s really sweet, and it wasn’t that bad, just cheesy but actually pretty good”, you thanked her.

Now it was her time to blush as she pretended to look at your poem again before whispering something. “No problem.”

Ganyu

Ganyu usually worked herself to the bone and when she didn’t, it was either because she took a small nap, ate, or just slept at home, so when her co-workers and you got to a level of worry about her wellbeing, that you forced her to take a few days off, there wasn’t much for her to do. At first she planned on simply sleeping through her holidays, thinking that it would be the only thing she would be able to do, but after sleeping for so long, that she physically couldn’t fall asleep anymore, she had to search for alternatives.

When Ganyu came to you and asked if there was something the two of you could do together, since she herself didn’t exactly have many hobbies outside of taking a nap, your mind immediately came up with an idea for a picnic. At first, Ganyu wasn’t too sure about it, always feeling shy about eating in front of others, especially you, but with a bit of convincing from your part, she agreed.

After having finished the meal, you started picking all kinds of flowers that were on the grass around you, making Ganyu curious about what you planned with them, but when you started to braid them, she was left completely confused.

“What are you doing?”, she asked, only for you to stop for a moment and shoot her a short smile.

“You’ll see, I’m sure you will like it”, you stated, causing her to get slightly excited about it. After some time, you told her to close her eyes and not open them until you told her, and shortly after she did so, she felt something being placed on her head, when you told her to open her eyes again and held a mirror in front of her, revealing the flower wreath on her head, she immediately thanked you before asking how to make them.

Over the next hour or so, you showed her each and every step of how to braid one herself and by the time you were done, it had become clear how much she liked it.

Afterwards, there wouldn’t be many days in which she came home without presenting you a new flower wreath she had made, making you happy that she found something entertaining to do.

Shenhe

Whenever Shenhe was done with her training for the day or finished her duties, she would just walk around in the mountains the Adepti called home, finding it to be a much more entertaining activity than listening to her master’s stories of old. There wasn’t much else she could do, since there were neither any humans there, nor anything else that could count as slightly entertaining, and even though she nowadays spent a lot of her time in Liyue, living with you, she still found herself just strolling around outside of the city whenever she had nothing to do, or you weren’t there to entertain her.

Today’s day was as uneventful as it could be, and while some would count that as a good thing, you couldn’t help but get bored, lying on the couch while thinking about anything slightly entertaining to do. Your friends had all decided to visit their families over the holiday, so it wasn’t as if you could invite them, and since you weren’t on good terms with yours, you couldn’t visit them either. You quickly glanced to Shenhe, seeing how she sat there with a blank expression, focusing on nothing in particular.

“Shenhe”, you eventually called out, instantly causing her to shift her attention to you before you finally continued speaking. “What did you used to do whenever you got bored in the mountains?”, you asked, staring at her face while hoping she would give you some good ideas.

“Bored?”, she repeated before seemingly thinking about it for a few seconds. “I usually just take a walk whenever I’m bored”, she answered, causing you to immediately sit up.

“Do you want to go on one?”, you asked once again, seeing her nod her head just a few seconds later. It didn’t take long for the two of you to get ready and walk outside and while the walk itself was uneventful, the conversations you two had during it was enough to keep you from feeling bored any longer.

Keqing

If Keqing had to summarize her perfect day off with a single word, it would be “shopping”. There was nothing she liked more than to go through the shops in Liyue and spend her hard-earned money on as many nice things as she could. And the only thing better than shopping was shopping with a person you like, so when you asked what she wanted to do on her day off, your fate was sealed.

You weren’t the greatest fan of shopping, well, except if it was for something that you were interested in. So, when Keqing dragged you through the whole city and you arrived at the beginning of a street well known for it’s many shops, you could feel the dread in you rising. But you held your complaints silent, not wanting to make Keqing feel as if she was forcing you to do something you didn’t like and more importantly, not wanting to earn her wrath.

“Oh, look there! A shop with Rex Lapis merchandise”, you called out before pointing to the shop and while Keqing was happy for the first moment, she quickly got silent, fearing that anyone could have heard you. Since when did you know about her fascination for them? She thought she did a good job at keeping it a secret. But before she could worry even more, she noticed the look on your face and quickly realised that you wanted to go to it not because of her, but for yourself.

“Fine, since you were such a good companion today I guess we can visit it”, while she acted as if she wasn’t such a big fan of the idea, on the inside she was already planning which item she would buy herself for you, before accidentally taking it home and forgetting that it existed.

Yanfei

Law wasn’t only a hobby for Yanfei. It was a passion. So, whenever she came home from reading through books containing the laws of Liyue, she would place herself on her favourite chair before grabbing a book containing laws from different nations. But sometimes, when she was feeling especially law-y, she would convince you to argue in a mock trial with her.

You of course never had a chance against her. How could a normal resident of Liyue possibly beat the Yanfei in an argument? In your years living in Liyue you had witnessed two gods rise from the sea while trying to destroy Liyue, you saw Rex Lapis’ death, you saw things many generations before you hadn’t thought possible, but not a single time did you see Yanfei lose an argument.

“No, no, no. That law only counts in special circumstances”, Yanfei disagreed with your point before opening one of her books and pointing you out a single sentence. “Here, that’s an important law, you should remember it or you might get yourself in trouble.”

“Yanfei, for you every single law is an ‘important law that you need to know’. I’m a normal citizen, not a lawyer like you. I doubt that I need to know all of these laws”, you stated, causing Yanfei’s face to display a bit of shock.

“’You don’t need them’? These are laws every citizen should know”, she said matter-of-factly, making you accidentally let out a sigh before chuckling.

“Thanks for teaching me all these laws, but don’t you think you’re going a bit overboard? With how much laws you insist I know I could enter the lawyer business”, you joked, only to see Yanfei immediately shake her hands in front of her, clearly disagreeing with you.

“Enter the lawyer business?”, she repeated before grabbing a giant book and putting it on the desk. “These are the laws I have taught you”, she stated, shocking you as you were sure you had forgotten 99% of them. But before you could say anything she pointed at the shelf filled with many books just as big. “Those are the laws you need to know to be a lawyer”, you didn’t know if your jaw dropped, but it surely felt like it. Why would anyone need that many laws?

“Those are a lot of laws”, you silently stated, only to see Yanfei nod excitedly.

“I know, isn’t that great? There are always things you don’t know, so you can always learn new things”, she had seemingly misinterpreted your comment, but before she had the chance to start rambling, she stopped herself before clearing her throat. “Anyway, back to our case.”

Yelan

As if the little dice accessories she wore around her neck hadn’t made it obvious enough, there weren’t many things Yelan liked more than a short, definitely not rigged game of dice. But while her dice would somehow always roll pretty high numbers when the stakes were too high, when playing with you she decided to use dice that weren’t… blessed. It didn’t make any sense not to, since she didn’t have anything to lose, and the expression of joy on your face whenever you won was definitely a good enough consolation prize.

When you finally arrived home, half-dead from the work and the way, the only thing you wanted to do was to sit down somewhere and relax, but when you saw Yelan sit at the table, with a cup and a few dice, you immediately knew what she was about to say. But before she even had the chance to invite you to play with her, you had already sat down in front of her.

“How was your day?”, she asked with a small smile, only for you to shake your head slightly. “Don’t want to talk about it… I see. And I always thought I was the mysterious one”, she joked and even though you tried your best not to, you couldn’t stop yourself from cracking a smile. She quickly handed you a few dice before the two of you started playing.

Amazingly, you were luckier than ever before, winning most rounds. And while you didn’t care too much at first, you quickly got excited with each win before eventually even starting to feel bad about winning so much.

“Don’t worry about it. You’re simply lucky today, that’s nothing to feel bad about”, she tried cheering you up after you had voiced your feelings once you ended your game. You handed her back her dice before smiling at her and thanking her for cheering you up, only for the two of you to go to bed shortly after.

Luckily for Yelan you weren’t too much of an expert in playing dice, since else you might have noticed how a few sides on your dice were heavier than the rest.

Yanfei was a very busy lawyer. It makes sense, considering she lives and works in Liyue, the nation known for contracts. Her work required her to travel the whole nation, whether it be for commissions, her own research, or last wills.

But not only did she have to fight mountains of paperwork, which she gladly did, but hilichurls and slimes on her travels too. This happened quite regularly, since the wilderness of Liyue was a dangerous place if one did not know the way. Luckily for her, she was a native and a vision holder. Her pyro vision was very useful and greatly reduced her time fighting enemies, which she could use for her actual work.

That didn't mean she was dismissive of her vision, not at all. But her passion was her work. Her job as a lawyer kept her more than busy, and she wasn't an adventurer.

So yes, she used her vision regularly, but she used her law book much more. She was glad she had her pyro vision and she also took pride in having it, just like any other person with a vision.

Naturally, she immediately noticed when her fire from the pyro vision was stronger, when she defeated her enemies faster. She started searching for answers in old texts and books but came across nothing that helped her.

Yanfei didn't tell anyone about it. At first, she suspected it was the doing of Rex Lapis, but that made no sense. Rex Lapis was the Geo Archon, and not the Pyro Archon. And even if the Prime Adepti would bless her, he wouldn't do it like this. He would rather give her some old tombs or books from the Archon War.

Her questions were answered days later, well, most of them. She now knew who blessed her; it was the voice that had started talking to her. Only she could hear it, the voice whispering and mumbling in her ear, praising her for defeating enemies and guiding her through the more dangerous parts of Liyue.

She has never been very religious, only praying to the Geo Archon on occasion. But after the voice started talking to her, she took her duty very seriously.

So I just saw the post with the wrath of the creator on Azar and I had an idea.

I am very emotional and I bailed my eyes out when I did the chasm quest with xiao and he nearly died AND I got a sad cutscene of the adepti after so my traveler was just stuck in the dialog with Xiao while I was crying a whole waterfall and sniffing really loudly and the only other quest where I had that was when we were in the chasm with dain and he tells us that the hillichurls are cursed people from Khanri'ah. I stood in front of the corpses and cried heart out.

So I wanted to ask the characters reactions to that. Especially Xiao, the archons we know (because khanri'ah and its destruction is a big thing here) and dainsleif.

I'm sorry this got so long. If you want to change something or want to add someone or take a character out it's okay, this is just my 5 am thought I just had.

Creator Having A Meltdown During Perilous Quest

(Warning: Might Be OOC & Spoilers to the Perilous Archon Quest!)

Yelan

She wasn't going to lie, she wasn't expecting you to cry your heart out so freely. Raw emotion was hard to come by when people grow. They tend to be more...seclusive, with their emotions.

You, on the other hand, were free-balling it. You did NOT care if people were gonna look at you weird, you are gonna cry because you are sad! And honestly, Yelan's glad that the Almighty Creator is expressive and sentient. It proves just how much you care for the characters.

"It seems the Almighty Creator is far more connected than anyone thought..." She wonders what she can do with this information, but at the same time, keep it under wraps. Letting this information slip into the wrong hands was always dangerous.

She wouldn't gamble your safety. Never. Safe to say Yelan's got you covered.

Itto

Woah, woah! He did not expect you, the Almighty Creator, to be crying their eyes out the moment he wakes up from passing out and all that—what he miss? What happened while he was sleeping?

Wait, they're not in the Chasm anymore? Oh Archons, someone just tell him what happened! Why the heck is the Creator balling his eyes out?

"Huh—? What's going on? We're out of the chasm?" Poor guy is so oblivious, and no one's bothering to fill him in—at least, at the moment.

He'll pester Shinobu about this later. Just, someone, stop the Creator from crying! Those are sad tunes, not something you want to hear when you should be celebrating about leaving that gloomy place!

Yanfei

She was NOT expecting you to be this emotional! Yanfei feels a little guilty not being able to do anything about it, to be honest...

She has to resist the urge to shake Xiao out of his stupor, because a) that was unprofessional, b) she's more relieved than anything, and c) Yanfei wasn't sure if you, the Creator, would think she was okay if she started acting out like that.

So, instead, she tries to ground herself, and do her best to make sure that the situation is fine, and that everything will be okay. That's the least she can do to reassure you, and everyone else, right?

"Hopefully, Their Grace will stop those tears...Hearing them sad makes me feel sad..." As a lawyer, Yanfei knows how to sympathize with her clients. This, however, felt like she could really understand what you were going through—there was a bond between you and everyone.

She doesn't want to make you sad. That's one thing for sure. Yanfei wouldn't be able to sleep out of guilt otherwise.

Shinobu

She wasn't expecting you to be crying your heart out, but she loves how sentient you are. It shows just how you truly care about Xiao, and about everyone.

She really appreciates you. She can see how you connect with every character—how you cheer with everyone, cherish the moment with everyone, rejoice, and mourn. This was visible proof of it all.

"Hm...How should we comfort Their Grace..." Shinobu wants to do something—for the sake of the gang's gratitude for their Almighty Creator. And everyone here as well.

You contributed much of yourself for them. For that, she's grateful.

She'll have to explain to Boss later...but that's besides the point right now.

Xiao

He feels guilty for making you cry. He heard you call out his name several many times. He hears how you ball your eyes out, thinking you were gonna lose him, only for Rex Lapis to save him just in time.

He doesn't know if the Lord of Geo heard your divine prayers, or if he went on his own accord, but he feels guilty. He placed a heavy burden on you. He didn't mean to.

"How should I make it up to Their Grace..." He listens to how you scream and cry (out of joy now) that he was alive. You, the Almighty Creator, already connected yourself to someone like him. Your bond was too severe, and he tried to cut it off.

But the way the Traveler is smiling at them with a reassuring smile, Xiao wonders if he will be forgiven. Perhaps far quicker than he imagined.

Ghost Rebel Side Notes: This honestly feels too OOC—I don't really know Yelan's personality all that well, and honestly I don't think I caught the full potential of Yanfei, Itto, and Shinobu. I do hope you enjoyed this, but I'm also sorry if this came out disappointing.

Hu Tao and Furina being friends is the best thing that has happened to me in a while actually. Like they’re canonically working together, so I reserve the right to say that they end up being best friends. Sorry not sorry!!!!!

They match each other’s energy so nicely, and Hu Tao would constantly be teasing Furina with scary/morbid shit just to get a reaction out of her. I feel like they’d visit each other a lot, Furina going to Liyue and Hu Tao going to Fontaine every now and again, and just crashing at each other’s places for a few days. When Furina has an episode (I hit her with the C-PTSD ray), Hu Tao will just cuddle her on the couch until she stops crying and she’s ready to talk. They’re super touchy, not in a romantic way but definitely in a very platonic “I can’t go anywhere with you if you’re not holding my hand” way, if that makes any sense. When together, they’re always really close, because they both know that the proximity is comforting for Furina, and Hu Tao is perfectly willing to offer her space to her mysteriously sad best friend.

Sometimes Furina has to third wheel on YanTao dates, but Yanfei doesn’t mind at all- they actually get along quite nicely, discussing the intricacies of legal systems together, and banding up to tell Hu Tao to stop saying odd shit in public.

In the Court of the Creator

Prompts: Inspired by Minecraft!Reader by @fandomshenanigans, Wardens in the Chasm idea by @mists-reading-nook & Alt!+OG!Reader by @questionotmystopit

Summary: You are brought before the Divine Creator after getting caught in the Chasm. However, before your fate is sealed they suddenly take an interest in your appearance, but why?

A/N: Originally there was supposed to be a two-page short comic serving as the introduction, but during the creative process I realized that 1) I was staying up too late that I simply couldn’t get my body to cooperate in drawing it, and 2) the end result was…not ideal to me; thus I had to scrap it and go ahead with just the story. If you’re wondering what I was doing…yeah it was all of that planning, writing, and internal discussion. Anyway, here’s the piece I was able to finally write and I hope you all enjoy it! (Normally I keep their gender ambiguous, but I really, really wanna write a male reader. Oh, and there’s that 100-follower event I’m cooking...my, I’m gonna be quite busy!)

It was cold inside the lifeless, marble halls of Celestia. Your wrists were beginning to chafe with how tight the cuffs were; you tried to rub them together to try to loosen them, but it was in vain. Defeated, you merely continued trudging ahead of your captor.

“Keep moving,” a dignified female voice behind you ordered. You suppressed an eye roll. “We’ll be inside the throne room shortly. There, the Creator of Teyvat will judge you, imposter.”

There were those words again. Creator. Imposter. Words that you were familiar with after hearing them countless times ever since you found yourself trapped here with no way back home. How many times did you recite a prayer to this God of Gods hoping for some miracle to show you a way back? How many times did you catch people throwing you dirty looks, muttering about you being gifted for looking like their god; they stopped after you decided to wear a blindfold. Only the truly envious ones had the gall to call you an imposter.

You didn't care about that. You just wanted to sell your potions and find a way back to your beloved Minecraft world.

“Halt! We’ve arrived.” Your recollection is interrupted by the sudden command. You shake your head. Your eyebrows raised at the impossibly huge set of doors. On either side were some kind of giant robots with a single menacing orange eye. They were adorned with miniature white tree branches on their shoulders. Both of them peered down at you as if silently judging your sins.

Your jailer stepped towards them; she was a tall female with blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, and wore a navy coat-no, that’s called a tailcoat. She made a salute to the robot closest to her; it made a rumbling noise before it signaled to the other one. They both turned and pushed open the doors. The hinges groaned like phantoms singing in an opera.

“Alright, let’s go,” said Ponytail.

The throne room was sparsely decorated, but the translucent floor that resembled the night sky made up for that. You instinctively looked up and couldn't help but lower your jaw in awe; up in the ceiling was a painting of a humongous figure draped in a white cloak with gold accents. There were stars on and around the body. Their arms were outstretched like they were expecting a hug.

You looked forward and felt your breath hitch. In the distance was a hooded figure sitting on a throne with two others standing on either side. Behind it was the open sky; there were no windows, meaning one could jump from there and fall from a great height.

Okay, that’s enough intrusive thoughts.

You got close enough that you observed the people standing in front of the throne. To your left was a young woman with antlers and salmon-pink shoulder-length hair. She wore a dark red and black crop top and skirt; she had bright teal eyes with ovoid pupils. To your right was a tall beautiful woman with short hair with blue accents at the end; she wore a dark bodysuit with silver accents and a white fur coat draped over her back. A rather shiny bracelet was on her right wrist.

In her hand was your staff; it was a green metallic stick with a small cylinder protruding from the top with an orange square block inserted in between. They stared at you two as you stopped in front of them.

“As per protocol, I will begin listing off the crimes the guilty party has committed.” Antlers said with neutrality. She opened a scroll she was holding and cleared her throat. “According to eyewitness reports, you have been selling dangerous items to civilians with powerful effects without a legal permit. Furthermore, you entered a highly dangerous and closed-off area in Liyue, witnessed a highly confidential location, and put the lives of several miners in danger.”

You felt some measure of indignancy swell within you. “Hey come on! It’s not my fault I spawned a Deep Dark biome. My staff was broken and I needed components to fix it. When I heard of a mine just west of Liyue, I didn’t realize it was closed off. Furthermore, my staff…went haywire because of some weird energy down there that infected it which ended up creating that biome.”

“There were a couple Millileth stationed there. Was it not obvious?” Blue stated coldly.

“Of-of course, but I was worried about the consequences if I didn’t fix my staff,” you sigh inwardly. You lick your lips. “And I didn’t know those miners were there. Also, if they ran into a strange new area without any common sense, then that’s on them not me.”

“So you admit to being in the Chasm, but you do not deny that you were selling contraband?” Antlers recounted in a controlled voice.

“I didn’t know how things operated in Liyue! I keep telling you that I’m not from here!” You were starting to feel a headache coming on, and the conversation hadn’t lasted five minutes! “Besides, I only sold to those who were desperate AND rich enough to buy my wares. Also, I only gave some potions of instant healing to those who brought their sick family members; I would never give potions that could harm anyone, I’m not a bad guy!”

Antlers opened her mouth, but a noise beside her made her pause.

Blue hummed. “Your staff. It is most peculiar. I’ve never seen Thaumaturgy like this before. Spill. Who are you, truly? Being some ordinary person with the creator’s face is one thing, but having access to dangerous magic as this is another.”

“If I told you, would you let me go?” You asked hotly.

“Depends on a number of factors like if this correlates to Abyssal magic, but in reality you’ll probably get a lighter sentence like a lifetime sentence in jail. It’s a much better alternative than getting executed, if you like enclosed spaces that is.”

“Wow. That’s so generous of you. Let me think about-no,” you said flatly. There was no telling what Minecraft logic would do here when something as basic as the elements were used for practical use.

“Hm. A shame. It appears we’re gonna have to execute you after all.” You feel hands behind you grip your shoulders. You try to throw Ponytail off, but blue glowing ropes suddenly spawned and wrapped your legs and arms.

This…couldn’t be it! You had a home to get back to, a cat to pet and feed! So many projects would be unrealized if you died here!

“Hold.” A new voice spoke up. It took you a second to realize it was the figure on the throne. They snapped their fingers and pointed at Blue, then at you. Blue nodded and the bracelet on her right glowed; the ropes on your body disappeared and Ponytail released her grip on you.

The creator stepped down from their throne towards you. You try to back away, but Ponytail puts a hand on your shoulder and you pause; you do your best not to tremble at how this all-powerful being was looking at you despite not seeing their eyes.

“Look at me.” They say commandingly in an ethereal and firm tone. You do. And in genuine awe. The power this being was radiating was so immense that it was almost suffocating. You felt as if you were an ant, and the more you scrutinized this person, the more you slowly realized your place.

Wait a minute, something’s not right. you think to yourself. You leaned forward so that you could see under his hood somewhat better. You could make out some of their features, and if you squinted you could’ve sworn they looked familiar. Huh, is it me or does this person look like me…! Oh. No way.

You suppress a growing sense of unease building up in your stomach. Your eyebrows comically raise themselves, and to your amusement so do the creator’s.

‘What the heck?’ you both mouth simultaneously. Whether through interest or impulse, the creator stepped down from their throne and stood in front of you. You stood straight. Slowly, the creator reached for their hood; it fell from their head. A chorus of gasps filled the room with one of them being your own. Nobody dared to breathe, fearful that it could break the moment.

Staring back at you was your own face, even down to the jawline. You open your mouth.

“What the fuck?”

After much discussion that took all day, it was declared by the creator that you would be staying with them under house arrest; you would be supervised by some handpicked acolytes all day. At night, the creator themself would look after you. Luckily, the idea seemed to satisfy the acolytes and no more questions about you were thrown; time would tell if this new protocol needed more polishing.

It was night, and currently, you were sitting in the garden watching a swarm of crystalflies float about. They were pretty to look at already, but they glowed so mesmerizingly at night. You took a deep breath and sighed peacefully.

Then, you felt a presence beside you. You turned your head. It was the creator- you They had their hood off; their hair was long, jet black, and tied in a ponytail. They possessed dark purple eyes with slit pupils; tiny white dots danced in their iris like twinkling stars. Two strands of hair rested on either side of their shoulders. They rested their hands in their lap.

“Hey, you got room for one more?” You simply shrug, uncaring for another presence, but happy that you had company. After another pause, they spoke again. “You…good?”

“Oh yeah, I avoided being thrown into a dark cell and left to rot. Or worse. I’m actually grateful we came up with that story about me being your sibling,” you told him.

“Of course! I’m not so arrogant as to believe that I’m the only version in this multiverse to exist. There have to be others like me out there, and those who weren’t so lucky to be gifted godlike powers the moment they teleported here.” Creator!You looked at you with sudden curiosity. “How did you get here, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Ah, that. Well, you see I was trying to build a portal to the Aether-wait, do you know what Minecraft is?” When they nod you snapped your fingers. “I kept experimenting with different blocks using my command block until I got one working. And being the genius that I was, I decided to test it out myself. I didn’t realize it was a one-way trip until the portal behind me immediately closed. The rest is history.”

“I see…it must be terrifying being in an unknown world having to learn how things work.”

“You took the words right out of my mouth. The slimes are so different from back home. I miss how square everything used to be.”

“Er, apologies for bringing down the mood. That was not my intention.” You wave them off understandingly. They clear their throat, eager to change the subject. “Anyway, have you been keeping up with the news from the multiverse?”

You shake your head. “No. I mean, I didn’t know one could do that.”

“I have my ways of checking, and I encourage you to read up. Knowledge is power after all. I can show you some tomorrow.” They smile and cross their arms. However, it quickly turned upside down. “Apparently, someone went and stole multiple universes from this multiverse.”

“...You mean, someone stole multiple different versions of Teyvat…?” Creator!You nodded. That’s unbelievable! Did you happen to catch how many they took?”

“If I recall correctly, it was exactly 168. Luckily, after a while, they were all put back in their places.”

“Is that number significant?” They shrug before dropping the subject entirely.

The conversation pauses for a moment as the two of you find something else to discuss.

Creator!You huffed. “By the way, what…what should I call you? Because it’s going to be confusing if someone calls for one of us when we’re in the same room. Plus, the ancient manuscripts already refer to ME when it uses our name.”

You laugh excitedly. “Aw man, I was waiting for this moment! I’ve always wanted to change my name to Yu, like Y-U.”

“That sounds adequate, but you’re gonna need a surname too,” said Creator!You. “What about…Nakayama?”

“Nakayama Yu…it has a nice ring to it. I like it! Alright, I’m gonna use that!”

They made an approving noise. “I’m pleased you like it so much. So…you wanna shake hands to, I don’t know, make it official?”

“Sure!” You stuck out an open hand. “I’m Nakayama Yu. It’s a pleasure to meet you, me!”

“Likewise!” They took it and you both shook firmly. You give a breathy chuckle.

It was nighttime, but the air wasn’t cold. You instinctively rubbed at your wrists, as if double-checking there weren’t any cuffs. You chatted away with yourself until you felt sleepy; you went to your guest room, immediately flopped on the bed, and started snoring.

“I’m not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention”

Characters: Yanfei x gn!reader

a/n: I once again got surprised by finding out that today’s a character's birthday, and while this one won’t be birthday-y (Shinobu was an exception, because I had no idea the next characters birthday would be literally on the next day), I nevertheless decided to write a Yanfei request, especially since her birthday art is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Yanfei

Yanfei loved to ramble to you about the law whenever she had the free time to, getting excited over even smaller laws that you quite honestly didn’t even know existed. And while it was nice to have someone make sure that you knew which laws existed, making it less likely that you broke one by accident, and the enthusiasm with which she went on and on about them was enough to make your heart melt, there were times you’d honestly wish that she didn’t love talking about her job as much as she did.

Normally you’d finish your work while in your office, making it so that you had nothing to worry about while at home, but today had been different, the unusually big workload forcing you to take a few documents back home. And while they didn’t need to be filled out anytime soon, you planned on finishing them as soon as possible. Unfortunately for you however, you foolishly revealed that same information to Yanfei, causing your paperwork to take second priority to her law-lesson, these lessons being nothing but a thinly veiled excuse for her to ramble to you about law.

At first you tried your best to multitask, paying just enough attention to Yanfei to ask a question every now and again, buying yourself enough time to fill out one, sometimes even two, documents, before she excited rambling-mode for a while, causing you to pay attention to her again. But as time passed, you got more and more focused on your paperwork, causing Yanfei to catch on to your strategy.

“I’m sorry Yanfei, but I’m almost finished. Give me… ten minutes, not more and then my attention will be all yours”, you explained after getting exposed for not listening to her at all and while you were completely prepared for her to argue against your request, you were surprised when she accepted your proposal before planting herself into the seat next to you, leaving you to finish your work.

…Or that would be the case, didn’t she start poking you immediately afterwards, causing you to turn towards her with a confused expression. “Didn’t you just promise that you’d let me finish my work?”, you asked, only for Yanfei to grin at you in a smugly manner.

“Yes, I did, and I don’t plan on stopping you from finish your work, but I'm not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention”, she responded, causing you to let out a frustrated sigh.

“Poking me until I stop filling out the papers and pay you attention honestly sounds like an underhanded way of stopping me from finishing my work”, you argued, only to immediately regret doing so once you saw her eyes light up.

“Oh! If you desire to argue about what exactly my promise entailed, then I’ll gladly indulge you. Bring it on!”, she declared, jumping up from the seat and striking a confident pose, only for you to close your eyes for a second before letting out another, this time defeated, sigh.

“There won’t be a need for that. I’m listening.”

Since you got no reaction from him, perhaps if you fight someone else it will satisfy your urge to fight.

That's when Itto step in and grab your attention just to keep you away from danger. It is easy, he just need to pat your head harder than usual and your body just automatically headbutt him and chases him.

He is actually responsible for once..wow

But sometimes he does thinking some ways to make you calm, nothing seems to be working.

He can't help it!! All these hormones in the air from you just starting to get into him!! Not to mention how your body just jiggle everytime you headbutt his hard back. He just want to grab you by the waist and pin you down.

And the way you pout and baa at him whenever Itto playfuly mock you? Archons, he thinks you aren't the only one who need a release at this point.

Sometimes he indulge you and him by playing rough house with you and pin you down on your stomach, sheep fights for dominance right? If he shows you who is the boss here you will stop right?

At first, you will thrash around to escape. Sheeps are suppose to headbutt each other! Not pin the others down like a prey! You are full of energy, start throwing your limbs around and bleat loudly. Then you start to hear a deep growl and a low "Stay down" from Itto.

Itto never heard the softest baa in his life coming from this plump lamb under him.

He also just realized how his pants seems too tight for comfort.

Ganyu

"Hey hey *whistle* (Name) eat this snow instead" will be heard all the time.

She knows when your rut/heat coming close, she is a goat and sheep and goats are similar after all. When she feels it is about time, she took a week off and rushes to your house.

Will make a block of ice just to help you relieve the urge to headbutt everything, but she prefers you to not hurt yourself and offers you snow.

She kept you in your house, a minimalist house enough for 2 people but with a big backyard. She will do all the cooking since you are too angry to even take care of yourself.

She has to let you tire yourself out by chasing after her snow flower (her skill) and by the time you are exhausted, she can approach you and take care of you

Archons, how come she can keep her hands to herself when your chubby body just thrashing around in her hold, she just wants to take you in for a bath. She will grope and grab every bit of you in the name of "you will fall!"

Surprisingly you are quite docile in water, maybe because Ganyu used her skill to cool the water. She uses this chance to clean you up and touch your plump body.

By the night's end, you are well-fed, clean, and tired; BUT not satisfied. You can't help it weakly punch Ganyu and rub your horn against hers, just to FEEL a fight.

She won't even look at you. She isn't going to use her vision unless necessary, and you going into a rut/heat and basically becoming hostile with anything isn't a 'necessary' thing.

How come she got into this predicament? Oh yeah...she just happens to see Hu Tao trying so hard to control you. It seems you are trying to...fight a boar??

Now, you are in her private room in her office, trying to chew your way out of the blanket wrapped around you. It's cute though, your cheeks are full of you trying to eat the blank-WHY ARE YOU GAGGING?!

She will try to relieve your stress by directing you to headbutt Noctilucous Jade around Liyue. You got stress relief, she got Jades! If it is in her office though, your horns will be plugged by foam

But if she has to work, you will be locked in her personal room. If a client walks into her office, they will hear bleats coming from a door behind Yanfei. She will just shrug it off as owning a bratty sheep, she isn't wrong.

Since she has antlers, Yanfei can't exactly headbutt backs at you. Deer fight also quite different from sheep. They fight over a doe or partner, not for dominance, why would she fight someone she considers her partner?

If you are being too bratty to control, she will use her pyro infused hand as a warning. Her hot touch reminded you there is a half adepti deer that take care of you now. Which usually back fire because your hormones screams "FIGHT FIGHT" and you end up trying to headbutt her again.

Seeing you fell asleep worth it though. You just all calm and docile on the bed, surrounded by pillows. Your plump cheeks squished against the soft pillow. Snoring away like you didn't just try to bite her hours ago.

Sheeps like you will become satisfied after establish dominance right?

What if she does that first?

Her hands softly squeezing your tummy..imagining her sigil mark on you. She didn't realize her hand heated up with pyro until you squirm in discomfort and softly bleats in your sheep. She almost brand you as hers.

One day.. one day your rut/heat will be just focusing on creating little sheeps around

Yanfei, Amber, Hu Tao, Kokomi, and Lisa with a silent S/O

Coincidentally, thanks to a show I've been watching (weirdly enough that being Transformers Prime), the silent type has been on my mind!

Yanfei gets used to their S/O being silent.

At first she's worried that she talks their ears off before recognizing they do listen, but just don't say anything.

She can tell by the focused look in their eyes staring at her, not past her.

She is curious as to why they're silent, but she doesn't pry. Yanfei does like to ask them questions about their day and whatnot to make sure they're as involved in the conversation as she is.

It is a strange experience given how much she speaks for the other person to be completely silent, but she doesn't mind after a while.

After all they are listening to her.

Seeing their silent smile and affection is enough. Even seeing them draw smiley faces on a piece of paper gets her to laugh.

Amber thought S/O didn't like her at first due to their silence.

But after getting to know them and realizing they are a man/woman of few words, she continues talking as normal.

Amber doesn't particularly change the way she speaks to them, instead finding their silence comfortable.

She watches them write on their book patiently and with a smile waiting for their response.

She can tell how they're feeling by looking at their face, even the subtlest change she notices.

Amber doesn't ask them why they remain silent, instead respecting it and awaits the day they do say something.

Hu Tao respects S/O's vow of silence and doesn't pry as to why they choose to not say a word.

That being said, she does try her best to get them to say something.

And she knows they can speak since she's been able to scare and make them laugh before with her antics.

She acts very offended when she asks them a question that anyone sane would choose not to say anything, getting them to smile at least.

(Hu Tao) "S/O, I'm going to bury Qiqi out in the field, if you're against it, say anything!"

They look at her with an eyebrow raised.

(Hu Tao) "Great! Thanks dar-"

A hand is put on her shoulder as they raise a piece of paper.

"No."

(Hu Tao) "Hey, I said say anything not write anything!"

Kokomi actually enjoys the silence her S/O brings whenever they're together.

After noisy meetings about war and everyone needing her help, it's nice to have someone's presence yet not have a word spoken.

When the time is right, she hopes to hear them speak without them writing, but getting to be with a loving person, regardless of little they spoke, was a blessing.

She enjoys sitting next to them not saying much herself as she pulls out a book.

They don't need to say much to each other in their relationship since their facial expressions do all the speaking for them.

Luckily for Lisa, people don't need to speak in order to get flustered.

She's able to make her S/O yelp or giggle, always wanting to hear more of their voice.

(Lisa) "Oh dear, what I wouldn't do to hear more of your lovely voice.~"

She wonders after a while if their silence is a result of a curse or not before learning through paper that they just don't speak.

It makes her determined to hear something affectionate from them that isn't from a paper or solely expression.

She will hear their voice.

But in all honesty, she does enjoy the peace and quiet they bring to the room. It makes her want to take a nap a good chunk of the time though. (The nap is of course on them.)
