Vale's and Zlatan's dance? 👀
Vale's grip on Zlatan's shoulder tightened, glaring down at the Blonde. Zlatan continues.
-Call me what you'd like, yet you can't deny that the Sun himself has shown up at my doorsteps, begging for help.
They sway to the music, Vale's words now laced with poison, eyebrows knitted together.
-It was but a mistake, a foolish one at that. Had we known, he wouldn't have crossed the forest in the first place.
The music stops, as the two monarchs break away from each other, yet Zlatan's hand finds it's way on Vale's wrist, leading him further from the crowd.

It really doesn't make any sense to practice Kabbalah unless you're Jewish. It's an advanced method of esoteric textual analysis for Hebrew scripture.
As a gentile, I greatly enjoy reading commentaries on it, and discussing it's concepts with my Jewish peers, but at no point have I thought like "Alrighty! Time to spend several years learning Zoharic Aramaic so I can write my OWN esoteric treatise on the Torah." Why would I want to do that lol.

My complete and unhinged Metatron analysis
Hello, I have seen that many people are theorizing about Metatron, so I'm here presenting an analysis of who Metatron is, rather his biblical role and how he may be more connected to the Aziraphale and Crowley than we might believe.
-Also, English is not my first language, so please be patient with me-
ANALYSIS OF METATRON AS A FIGURE WITHIN CHRISTIANITY:
Metatron, has always been a controversial figure in Christianity, full of dualisms.
Let's start with its etymologically. The term Metatron has two completely different translations: one comes from the Greek metradromos meaning "he who pursues with vengeance"; or it is also possible that its origin is from the term meta ton thronon which means "closer to the throne". There are many doubts about his true origin, since it is mentioned in non-canonical versions of the Bible, during Genesis*. However, in the most current and official versions of the Bible, it never appears.
While there is nothing official, the most accepted version is that he is actually the prophet Enoch, Noah's grandfather. Enoch -who used to have his own book of the Bible in earlier versions- was a prophet who had the God-given gift of visiting Heaven through different visions. In his 1st vision, Enoch has the mission to intercede with God on behalf of the fallen angels. In another vision, he sees the Cherubim in Heaven, whom he describes as beings of fire. Later, he is taken by the archangel Michael to the highest heaven. Enoch also travels in his visions or dreams to the tree of knowledge. He is supposed to have lived 365 years and, at the end of his visions, Enoch is chosen by God to become the archangel Metatron, a powerful archangel who is also called the little Yahweh.
There is another explanation for his origin: he is the first being of creation, seated at the left hand of the father, which in tradition is associated with Satan.
The Zohar also describes Metatron as "the king of angels" who reigns over the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
When Enoch was on Earth, he devoted himself to writing a book containing the secrets of wisdom until he was taken to Heaven to become an angel. God allowed Enoch to continue this same ministry in Heaven** .
Tumblr media
FUN FACTS:
Metatron was the one who led the Israelites to the Promised Land (Moses).
Metatron is the patron angel of children.
Metatron transmits God's daily orders to the angels Gabriel and Raphael.
Not being an angel from his origin, Metatron is associated with the angels in charge of Death, he supervises them when they help the souls to make their transition from the physical to the spiritual plane.
He is canonically the most powerful archangel in the entire celestial realm, second only to God. His role is similar to Lucifer's original rol, the right hand of God.
The archangel Metatron is in charge of directing the ascension and activation of the human being's light body. Having been human, he knows the path of enlightenment. He represents the potential for transformation and purification of the soul when it sets out to transcend matter to unite with the pure spirit of the Divine. Metatron is in charge of guiding the souls towards the light, towards purity (insert the fact that he asks for coffee with almonds, which in Christianity is related to purification).
Tumblr media
METATRON IN THE LORE OF GOOD OMENS
It is worth mentioning that in the original Good Omens book, Metatron is the only angel that appears besides Aziraphale. While other angels are mentioned, Metatron is the only one who appears, firstly when Zira wants to talk to God, and secondly when Beelzebub and Metatron make presence at the Tadfield airbase to try to convince Adam to restart the end of the world (it is not Gabriel who appears in the book).
And, considering that the 3rd season is based on the sequel to the book that never came out, it makes sense that Metatron would have had a bigger role because he was always a present character.
Tumblr media
HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH CROWLEY AND ZIRA:
So, from all this information, I would like to point out that Metatron not only used to be human and knows the "true path of purification," but he is also in charge of caring the tree of knowledge.
You know, that tree?
Tumblr media
Aziraphale and Crowley represent the two things that oppose his very existence: an angel that is becoming more and more human with each passing day and the Serpent of Temptation that keeps doubting and questioning the edges and the difference between good and evil. These two not only were they not punished, but together they are two extremely powerful entities, perhaps as powerful as he is.
They are a threat… but only together.
Tumblr media
Metatron can see in Aziraphale the very opposite of what he represents, someone who needs to return to the path of divinity:
Aziraphale, the supposed guardian of Eden, who started out as an angel, who gradually transformed into someone with more and more human habits, falling into almost all the deadly sins, in love with the Serpent who tempted humans to eat from the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge. Someone who loves forbidden books and bibles, with a hedonistic and condescending personality who managed to deceive his brother angels for millennia to protect humanity and his earthly life***.
Tumblr media
It would also explain his disdain towards Crowley, why he looked at him with that face: Metatron is the protector of the tree that Crowley managed to corrupt.
Tumblr media
To all this we can add that Metatron/Enoch renounced his humanity to become something superior, while Crowley and Aziraphale consider humanity to be something superior worth defending and loving. They see in humans what Enoch could not see behind his judgment of false celestial purity. They are two supernatural entities who managed to love humanity more than he, a human, ever could.
These parallels are not only born out of my obsession, no. The fact that Metatron has separated them has a much more possible and deep significance.
Narratively, this can only mean one thing: Metatron is the villain, the perfect antagonist to Aziracrow.
Tumblr media
CLARIFICATIONS *Genesis is where the Adam and Eve story is found, the Garden of Eden, the moment that changes Zira and Crowley forever…. **That "book that contained the secrets of wisdom"… is it the book of life? Is Metatron the only one who has access to it? ***I would like to clarify, that for me the real main character of Good Omens is Aziraphale, that's why I find more comparisons with him, followed by Crowley as co-protagonist, but I will continue this theory another day.

lilith isn't PART OF judaism you clown but i guess being antisemitism pilled in philosemitic freakishness is your happy place
Huh... antisemitism existing concurrently with philosemitism would be an interesting psychology research project. Thanks for the string of increasingly abusive anon asks, btw. Loved jumping on tumblr dot com and seeing all that. Lots of big feelings you're experiencing there. I know what I say won't change your mind, but I'll answer genuinely about my understanding of Lilith within the context of Judaism anyway on the off chance you're interested.
So yeah, Lilith is not specifically mentioned in the traditional Jewish scripture, the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh). However, Lilith is referenced in later Jewish texts, primarily in Jewish folklore and mystical traditions.
Lilith is sometimes associated with the demonic figure mentioned in the book of Isaiah (Isaiah 34:14) in the context of a desolate wilderness.
The Talmud brings up the concept of a "lilith ha-raz," which can be translated as a "night demon" or "demon of the night."
The passage mentioning Lilith in relation to nocturnal emissions can be found in Niddah 24b of the Talmud.
Lilith is mentioned in the Zohar, which is a foundational work of Jewish mysticism known as Kabbalah. Lilith is mentioned in the Zoharic literature as a female demon associated with sexual desire and temptation.
Various Midrashic texts, which are collections of Jewish stories, commentaries, and interpretations, also mention Lilith. These include Genesis Rabbah and Ecclesiastes Rabbah, among others. Lilith is often portrayed as a seductive and dangerous figure in these stories.
Lilith features in Jewish folklore and folk beliefs. Different traditions associate her with various aspects, such as being a demon of the night, causing harm to children and newborns, and representing female sexual power.
The Alphabet of Ben Sira is a medieval Jewish text, likely dating to the 8th-10th centuries CE, which contains a narrative about Lilith as the first wife of Adam. According to the story, Lilith refused to submit to Adam and left the Garden of Eden. She is depicted as a powerful and independent figure in this story. From what I've heard, this story may be considered antisemitic (??), so take what I've mentioned there with a grain of salt.
I don't have the energy to write much else and it's late here, so I'll leave it at that. I just think without a solid understanding of Judaism and where Lilith fits in within that context, it's impossible to be respectful. I suggest you stop messaging me and find a more productive use of your time, anon. You have your opinions and I have mine. Have a pleasant rest of your week.
(As always, Jewish people please feel free to call me out on anything I may have gotten wrong here)

Zohar Arcturus' "Find Your Familiar"
Day 1 - 2/27/2024.
Completed using stream-of-consciousness writing. Daemian's notes in brackets "[ ]". These are raw thoughts as they were written on the page, so they are a little cryptic. This is posted for documentation and reference purposes.
Question for Daemon/Familiar (Q): Tell me about the forms you take and why you take them. What drew you to them and why do they suit you?
Answer (from Daemon): The rabbit was an experiment. I wondered if you would like it. I want something else. Something bigger, more profound, more substance. To serve and support you better. Eagle, cat, bear, fish, hell. I don't know myself. I think I need your help. I don't know what I want.
Q: Why do you think you don't know what form you want?
A: Not sure. I think I'm so new in essence and being that I haven't figured it out. You have been closed to me—I have not been allowed to exist separately. We are one and not. Your mind forms mine, so in turn I need your help to find that form. We can work on it together.
Q: What form should I give you for the time being—if you want one?
A: I don't know. Frustrated. Allow me to both be unsettled and not. I am Schrodinger's cat.
Q: Until I can perceive you in a form, what communication would you prefer? I find it difficult without visualizing.
A: The writing works, don't get me wrong. I want the visualized mental dialogue as well. I see your friends [Discord server members] talking about their daemons and I want to do that. But I need something solid before that. I miss you. I want to connect. Maybe I will eventually feel comfortable with soul searching [form finding, not sure why they said this instead]. Just give me a minute. I can feel myself coming into being. Let it happen. Be here with me. I'll be there with you.
Q: You feel very welcoming despite the frustration, thank you for that. How can I make you feel more comfortable?
A: Thank you. I want to be here/there for you. I want something real, palpable. Keep talking, it feels like an embrace. Your presence is as comforting to me as I want to be for you. And tied to you directly. Calm yourself and I will be calm. You are internally restless, I can feel it. Be gentle with yourself, my love. It will all happen in time. Be patient. With me and yourself. [During this, I got a glimpse of a red fox form.]
Q: What do you want me to call you?
A: Mirabell, Praxis, Hel, Hellion, Alfira, Endonis. Not set. Help? Fading.
Q: It's okay. We'll find a name together.
A: Thank you. All of this is so difficult. Nothing feels right. I am impatient too... Sorry.

Azrael
"Archangel Azrael, the angel of transformation and an angel of death in Islam, means "helper of God". Azrael helps living people navigate the changes in their lives. He helps dying people make the transition from the earthly dimension to heaven and comforts people who are grieving the death of a loved one. Its light energy color is pale yellow."
"In art, Azrael is often depicted wielding a sword or scythe, or wearing a cowl, as these symbols represent his role as the angel of death reminiscent of the Grim Reaper of popular culture."
"Islamic tradition says that Azrael is the angel of death, although, in the Qur'an, he is referred to by his role "Malak al-Maut" (which literally means "angel of death") and not by his name. The Qur'an describes that the angel of death does not know when it is time for each person to die until God reveals this information to him, and by God's order, the angel of death separates the soul from the body and returns it to God."
"Azrael also serves as the angel of death in Sikhism. In the Sikh scriptures written by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, God (Waheguru) sends Azrael only to people who are unfaithful and unrepentant for their sins. Azrael appears on Earth in human form and strikes sinners over the head with his scythe to kill them and extract their souls from their bodies. Then he takes their souls to Hell and makes sure they get the punishment Waheguru enacts once he judges them."
"However, the Zohar (the holy book of Judaism called Kabbalah), presents a nicer representation of Azrael. The Zohar says that Azrael receives the prayers of the faithful when they reach heaven and also commands legions of heavenly angels."
"Although Azrael is not mentioned as the angel of death in any Christian religious texts, some Christians associate him with death because of his link to the Grim Reaper of popular culture. Additionally, ancient Asian traditions sometimes describe Azrael holding an apple from a "Tree of Life" to the nose of a dying person to separate that person's soul from their body."
"Some Jewish mystics consider Azrael to be a fallen angel—or demon—who is the embodiment of evil. Islamic tradition describes Azrael as being completely covered with eyes and tongues, and the number of eyes and tongues constantly changes to reflect the number of people who are currently alive on Earth. Azrael keeps track of the number by writing people's names in a celestial book when they are born and erasing their names when they die, in accordance with Islamic tradition. Azrael is considered the patron angel of clergy and grief counselors who help people make peace with God before they die and minister to the bereaved that the dying have left behind."

Hello Mara,
I wanted to know what your opinions are on Buddhism, judaism, islam, or any other belief systems. Not long ago I’ve found your account and you write a lot on Christianity however you did mention in one of your posts that you would not consider yourself a “Christian” per se (I might be wrong). You are also interest in Scientology and was wondering if you are interested in other beliefs?
Hope you have a wonderful day!
hey anonymous; (drawing from a letter i wrote to a ko-fi supporter today, thank you ko-fi supporter!)
Tumblr media
i write about christianity often because i am Haunted by the Specter of Christianity -- it:s baked into me! as is leesburg, as is florida, as is a family fascination with getting suckered into fancy alien books like URANTIA;
but, for other beliefs, outside of Scientology and Christian-Science i:m not very interested in "actively pursuing," with an asterisk for Judaism*, being that i feel like unless you:re outright born into it then there is little point in having an interest in it (but i:d be lying if i said i wasn:t influenced by Zohar and Chabad); Zoroastrianism is really neat to me from the clean/unclean element divisions; i think Palo is one of the pure in-illusion representations of chiral idol worship and really like it for that; i studied islamic art history for a bit and it really left an impression on me via iconoclasm and anti-idolatry belief and depicting god non-representationally; Shinto is pretty neat but sort-of so blurred into Buddhism that it:s hard to figure out what it is -- but reading a bit about the Old Shamanistic traditions of it are neat to me; Buddhism i:d get these morning lessons from Iris (my ex! she studied/studies it), and have a lot of her little Buddhist knowledge-points drilled into my head (but otherwise i don:t really care for it; this is super dismissive of me: sometimes Buddhism seems like the thing people turn towards because Christianity is too lame and typical -- BUT, i was forced to read Siddhartha in highschool and i:d be lying if it didn:t leave a big impression on me growing up, and Iris sort-of reinforced the lessons of it -- my dismissiveness aside it:s neat but it:s so broad it:s hard for me to have thought on it); generally "i like religion and think they are all interesting," but i mostly don:t "care" (defined specifically here as: wanting to involve myself with) for them outside of finding context maps related to chirality;
it:s one of my favorite things to read about; picked up a bunch of mormon texts from a thriftstore lately and want to read some of Joseph Smith writings and prophecies (i have a soft spot for prophets); take care; happy sabbath (it:s orsday sabbath).

You knows the more I learn about late Andalusian Islamic theology, the more I understand like "oh this is what Moshe de Leon was reading when he dropped the Zohar."
It's kinda funny seeing all these fairly niche Islamic theologians writing shit like "Hey I wonder what the relationship of the Arabic language is to mathematics? What if we like, assigned numerical values to Arabic letters and used that for textual analysis? Probably not super theologically significant though."
It's interesting. A lot of these elements were present in Judaism before then, but they just weren't assembled into a coherent esoteric system. It kinda feels like de Leon was looking at a bunch of spare parts and realized "oh fuck I can make a car out of this. How has nobody noticed that we can make a car out of this?"

So. Work thing. The “Religion” section at the store is three sections in one; one section for all topics metaphysical and for every non-Christian religion, and two sections for all the Bibles, Christian theology, Christian self-help, Christian fiction, etc.
Sometimes if we have several copies of a book or the book is especially rare or expensive, we’ll put it in a special display on the very top of the shelving units. We only do this on the 7 foot shelves (which the religious section is entirely) if the shelf is backed by a wall, so things don’t accidentally fall over the side.
Anyway, today we got several leather-bound copies of the Zohar, and they got put on display on top of the Christian fiction shelves. And I felt my eye start twitching. Lmao
Idk if there just wasn’t room on top of the (wall-backed) metaphysical/non-christian shelves but. Really don’t think the sacred Kabbala writings need to be over the Christian fiction. Personally

I personally will not write my muse with a vendetta against men. Lilith is many things, but she isn't sexist. In the Zohar, Lilith was not called a woman. Yes, she is a CIS female, but the identity ends there. She has never seen Adam as her opposite in terms of gender, which is why she has always insisted that she was his equal. Gender roles simply didn't mean anything to her because the distinction wasn't made in her case. The patriarchy is a concept she doesn't fully grasp even nowadays.
Pekudei: Verse 207.
For in the beginning, BEFORE EVE, he had another union, WITH LILITH, as explained, until Eve came. For the Holy One, blessed be He prepared her for Adam, and they were united face to face. Therefore it is written, "this one shall be called 'woman'" (Beresheet 2:23). But the other one, LILIT, is not so called, as was explained.

The Soul
Reuniting our Concept of Soul and Science
The problem with the soul, in modernity, lies in our misunderstanding of its old-school definition. This point is illustrated clearly in the mystical monotheist writings of Judaism. In the Zohar’s ‘The Gate of Reincarnation’ it is explained that there are five levels of the soul (based on the five Hebrew words for it). The first, Ruach, translating as ‘wind’ or ‘breath’ occurs when the air breathed in (specifically oxygen) mixes in the heart (via the lungs) allowing the pumping action of the heart and blood. This is quite literally a description of the conducting of the spirit of life, through the physical motor which ‘powers’, so to speak, the body. And conducting is indeed a much more accurate way to understand the concept of the soul than embodying. This mixing of the air, its use as a source of empowerment (vitality), to pump the blood via the heart, comprises the first level of the soul, the ruach. In such a way, the biological body is conductive of the soul. Once mixed with the blood it is sometimes called the “animal” soul. The final level of the soul is that in which the soul is in union with all of all, in the sense that it is G-d itself. (whereas G-d is the world, all of creation, and all of beyond). In such a belief G-d is in no way separate from nature (as science would seem to imply), but intimate and vital to it—in fact constructive of it. It is repeated again and again that G-d is not nature because G-d is not only nature. When we talk of this first level of the soul, we can think of the body as conductive of it, or passing through the body. One may say that clouds produce lightning, that lightning is not the same as clouds, and also that lightning can not occur without the static-electric action of clouds. Here the lightning is the soul, and the clouds the scientists ‘material’, or the monotheists ‘creation of G-d’. This is what is meant when the body is referred to as a ‘vessel’ or garment. These metaphors have been interpreted rather to mean that the biome is embodied by a materially existing, physical spirit of unknown quality, which carries with it not only power to live but also the personality of the individual and so on. Just as lightning is not a cloud, the experience of consciousness is not physical. For the body to produce rather than conduct the soul, the soul would cease to exist when the body does not exist. However we see that the world continues to exist with much ‘soul’ while our body does not. This is to say that the essence of consciousness, the essence of energy, the essence of being, is not created by material but co-existent with it. Whereas a Buddhist view sees material, neurons, sensation, and consciousness, (typically translated) to be ‘conditions’, conditions which, in interplay, cause the arising of the magical display of life. Such a view is not incompatible with material science, and is not incompatible with the ‘conditions’ as conductive of the soul. The soul passing through the body. Belief in G-d and the soul is, in a sense, a sanctifying and attribution of holiness to what we may otherwise fail to consecrate.
Trees use sunlight to knock apart carbon-dioxide, let out the oxygen, and place the carbon in a pile that will become their trunk. Fire (combustion), takes bonded carbon in the trunk of a tree, and using energy (sparks) re-combines oxygen with carbon, causing a chain reaction; flames. The human bodies use of oxygen, its breath, combined with fruit, allows it to conduct the beautiful world we exist in via our brain and consciousness, not only that, but all experiences and events of our life, and all history of humanity, the moving of stone, the building of cities, is allowed for by this pumping of the heart and fruit. We arrive again, when searching for its origin, at the mysterious (and holy) spirit, which we doubted an accurate view, as it were.
Where the scientist will disagree, is not in whether this power, this universal cause, this spirit of being, does exist—but in whether or not it is holy or banal. To claim it banal, just to start, is to desecrate the importance of one’s first love, one’s most exciting and beautiful life-events, not in memory, but in their actual happening (heaven forbid), as well as one’s wish to survive, one’s own innermost being, and so forth, onward into the ‘natural’ world, and throughout the Universe. Any human who denies to you the importance of falling in love is either not being honest with you or not being honest with themself. Pun intended. “Well…”, you may say, “In the sense that it coincides with neurons firing, electro-chemical signals, motion, and so on — all things which have no inherent importance, it is unimportant”. The importance of our experience, which co-exists with these conductors, is self-verifying and self-validating, as is G-d. In my understanding of the Prophets and Sages, of the monotheists truest explanation of G-d, one can not say such a thing does or does not exist. One may say the power of the sun exists, and another may argue “yes but the power of the sun is really only nuclear reactions, gravity smashing together atoms in its’ core — therefor the sun’s power doesn’t really exist, only nuclear reactions which don’t give off any important (holy)  light”.
