....
Honestly, at this point, I have nothing else to say on the Sony and Marvel situation. I’m just holding onto hope that he’ll be back. And I’m hoping that what Mikey Sutton said is true, that Sony is lying. I hope so. I really do. I’ve been so sad and depressed over all of this, like actually sad.
I can’t even imagine how Tom is feeling. Yeah, he’s said that Spidey is safe on Sony’s hands, but he has unfollowed Sony. And you can see how happy he was to be in the Avengers. I’m tired of two big companies pretty much messing with Stan Lee’s legacy. And I’m tired of them not caring about what the fans want.
I have nothing else to say. I’ve been devastated, I think the fandom as a whole has been as well. I will hold on to hope still. These things do take time, but I think it’ll all work out. And please make your voices heard. Don’t stop speaking.
I’m tired of this whole ordeal, and I just wish he was back, but I won’t stop either.

New Rumors about Spiderman Disney and Sony Deal.
New Spider-Man Deal Rumored To Include 7 movies, Avengers, More Matt McGloin Posted: 08/22/2019 - 20:23
It is being rumored that Disney has offered Sony another deal over keeping Spider-Man in the MCU, which includes a seven-picture deal, new Avengers films, an appearance at the D23 Expo and more. The info comes from TVO from the Lords of the Long Box YouTube channel and his insider source who has connections at Disney Marvel.
NEW SPIDER-MAN DEAL POSSIBLY UNDERWAY WITH DISNEY, MARVEL, AND SONY
According to the new deal, Disney wants: - A 6-picture deal with Tom Holland, with an option for a 7th. - There are three more Spider-Man films after Spider-Man 3, which will be a new trilogy. - The second trilogy will focus on Peter Parker's college years including plans for Peter to meet up and team up with Firestar and Ice Man of the X-Men (based in part on the old Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon). - The other three movies are two Avengers films in which Spider-Man will have a larger role and become friends with Johnny Storm (Human Torch from the Fantastic Four). - Marvel Studios will helm and co-finance all Spider-Man related movies for 30% of the full profits (Disney previously wanted 50%, but Sony said no, which led to the talks falling apart). - Sony would distribute, but Disney will acquire exclusive digital and online rights for Disney Plus and affiliated TV networks. - Marvel Studios will helm and co-finance SpiderVerse live-action spinoffs under the same terms. - Venom will relocate into the MCU. - Sony will be given permission for TV live-action programs based on SpiderVerse properties (Sony only has film rights to Spider-Man, but needs permission from Disney for TV rights) - Disney wants the deal to be done before Saturday's Marvel panel at D23 Expo. - Spider-Man is also said to be a part of a D23 Expo panel.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - It's said Tom Holland wants to stay with the MCU (it's been reported both Holland and Zendaya unfollowed Sony on Instagram). - If Sony was purchased by another company (like Apple), the Spider-Man film rights would go back to Disney, which Disney would love. - Disney wants to take out Netflix and dominate the streaming world, making their shareholders happy, which includes Marvel Studios now working with Marvel TV (former Marvel TV Netflix characters are rumored to be coming to FX).
PREVIOUS DISNEY SONY SPIDER-MAN TALKS FELL THROUGH
Regarding what started everything with the previous talks between Disney and Sony falling apart, it was reported that Disney wanted a 50/50 co-financing arrangement between the studios, which would extend to other Spider-Man related films, and that Disney would also get 50% of the box office, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige getting full producer credit. It's said Sony wanted to keep their initial deal with Disney, which saw Disney only get a minuscule amount off the top of the first weekend box office gross for the solo films, while Marvel would still produce the solo Spider-Man films, but that Spidey would still be able to be used as appearances in other MCU movies, while Disney also gets all the merchandising revenue. Reportedly, Sony didn't accept the Disney offer of 50%, with Disney not wanting to renew the current contract, which led to talks falling apart.
Still, hope Sony and Disney would reach the new Deal soon.

Hey Disney
Why don’t y’all get off your high horses and think about your audience for a minute? Think about how you could lose hundreds of fans instantly. Hundreds of movie-goers. Now, think about how you could lose hundreds, thousands, even millions of dollars at the box office. Simply because Spider-Man wasn’t in your latest Marvel movie? You’ve killed off so many of your main cast, and now you go and get rid of another? Your options for future MCU movies are already dwindling. Why push it?
You are the biggest brand in the world. You have all the power anyone could ever dream of. Be honest. Do you really need the 50/50 profits? Do you really need more money? You could buy Song for all you care. Why ruin a beautiful franchise, a fantastic story, and an absolutely perfect character, for a few extra bucks that, now, you’re not going to get at all? Good choice, there. Choosing to ruin a whole franchise over a few bucks. You are the embodiment of the bully on the playground, picking on children smaller than yourself.

***THESE ARE NOT MY TWEETS BUT I WANTED TO SHARE ON HERE***
Patrick is an avid Disney fan, movie fan, and Spidey fan! He makes YouTube videos and is on twitter and instagram so check him out on those. I couldn’t find him on here and wanted to share his thoughts because I agree with him.
I’m a huge Disney fan as well but this whole situation makes me sad and I totally agree with him.
I hope Sony and Disney/MCU revisit this and decide on something because a lot of the fans care about Spider-Man and Tom Holland a lot.
Peter Parker is not just a fictional character to us! Everything they have done in the MCU around his character has allowed him to evolve so much! And the fact that Stan Lee was also proud of Tom and loved him as Spidey makes my heart ache.
I cant imagine what Tom is going through right now.
I have hopes that our Spidey boy will be okay.

Okay, so quick note: I don't have a Tumblr. I'm not especially interested in having one. I don't do great with the whole "public persona" thing, so I hope its okay if I use your blog as a platform to say what I need to say. But what I do have is a heart, and an opinion on this whole "Sony + Marvel" mess. Most of what I think has already been said, i.e. Marvel needs to back off, Sony can't handle Spider-man by himself, both parties need a good ol' pride check and to be knocked down a peg. (1)🌻
It's disrespecting Stan Lee's memory and legacy. The actors and directors and writers from these movies are going to suffer for this and its overall really just... disappointing. Really, truly, disappointing. etc... And while I am extraordinarily happy that we have gotten to live through and experience THIS Spider-man, Tom Hollands Spider-man, I can't help but be terrified for the future of the franchise. This character means the world to me, (and this is when I'm even happier that I can (2)🌻
submit this anonymously because I think this is the first time I'm ever saying [writing] this out loud), but this Spider-man saved my life, literally. I was in a bad place when Infinity War came out. I had my own "spider-bite" if you will. Within 24 hours my entire life was flipped upside down, I realized I had powers and gifts that were unbeknownst to me, I was told (in different terms) that "with great powers comes great responsibility" and that I was meant for something important (no, (3)🌻
I'm still figuring out what that means lol), and I realized that if I don't act and fight for a better world? Well, when the bad things happen, that's on me. And then 3 close family members died within two months. I lost my Richard Parker, Uncle Ben, and Tony Stark within two horrifying, awful, dreadfully long months. I (figuratively, this time) had a building collapse on me and nobody could help me. I wanted to kill myself, to be released from my fate and destiny and disappear into (4)🌻
nothingness. I didn't see a point in continuing to live. But I stayed alive, barely. I worked my ass off to become a better, stronger person. I started down the path to figuring out what this new identity meant and how I could use it to help others, and I started to become happy again. It took a lot of work, and Infinity War came out right when I was turning a magnanimous corner into recovery. I enjoyed the movie, I still do, but when people started dusting away, one by one, I was just as(5)🌻
confused as everybody else. I knew they had to bring these characters back, but in the suspension of disbelief I was just trying to process what was happening. And then Spider-man came on screen, trying his best to keep himself together, to keep himself alive. He was trying not to die. And those words, in the exact cadence he said them, "I don't want to go"? Those words are going to be burned into my brain as the exact moment I realized I didn't want to die anymore. And, of course, I (6)🌻
started sobbing. I couldn't tell my friends that I was suicidal, I'm too proud to admit I needed help. But I, someone infamous for a stone cold heart, fucking lost it. My friends, all sniffly and sad kind of stared at me in disbelief. A kid, the same age as me and who had gone through similar experiences, being scared to die? And maybe Tom Hollands just an incredible actor but he made me feel a fear of death I hadn't felt in years. I cried for months every time someone would even mention (7)🌻
the scene, or someone would say "I don't want to go." I still can't watch that moment without sobbing. For the entire year between Infinity War and Endgame I was obsessed, hanging onto every clue and detail that was dropped. And on my bad days, when I wanted to die and disappear into the unknown once again, I remembered how hard Spidey fought to stay alive. I also remembered how badly I needed to know that he was okay, how I needed to stay alive because I needed to know Spider-man would (8)🌻
come out of this safe and sound. I know Spider-man didn't actually save me, I worked to get to where I am, but I still owe this version a whole lot. I do, in some ways, owe Tom Holland and Spider-man my life. With that in mind, all I want is for this character to be in the right hands. I'm terrified that Marvel is getting too greedy, or that Sony can't handle live action Spider-man by themselves. If it were any other character that was being fought over, I would root for Sony (conglomerate (9)🌻
Disney can take a long walk off a short plank). But I know their track record, and I know how much this character means to so many people. I'm better now, Spider-man helped me find my safe and sound, I just want to help him find his. After all that team has done for me, the least I can do for them is share my story and hope it resonates with someone. Pete deserves better, all us who have worn and will wear the mask deserve better. (10)🌻 (this should be it, 10 parts total oops!!)
I’m super sorry for the delay, yesterday was crazy for me, but I finally got around to post this! You are so so brave for sharing this and I am so thankful that you chose me to share your story with. I’m very glad that you are better now and I hope with all my heart that you stay that way. I hope you see this and I am sending all my love to you!
Remember, if you ever feel suicidal or don’t want to live anymore PLEASE tell someone or seek professional help.
