The end-of-summer book reads, starting of with: Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier. As I started joining the DOTF Twitter-read along , created by @intotheforestdark, I found myself engulfed in the rich Irish folklore and exploring once more the beautiful tale of The Seven Forests. This tale has given me a sense of nostalgia, as it transported me back to my childhood (which consisted of dragons, knights and fairy tales). Juliet's writing has a very lyrical flow, which perfectly fits the fairy tale retelling. If you want to know what the book is about, read the book's summary/blurb on Amazon or get the book yourself! Here it is: the review for Sea of Creatures anthology!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars What I really enjoyed from this book were all varieties of stories presented by those authors. We, as readers, travel from a goofy, adventurous tale to a menacing, terrifying thriller. Fairy tales, romance, comedy, horror, tragedy, fantasy, there is so much more than I can list right now! By a few stories it drags on a little bit, but they eventually meet up to their expectations! Of course, I got a couple of favourites: - Loreley (Sofi Laporte) - The Sea Witch's Apprentice (Zoey Xolton) - Angels of the Deep (Stephen Herczeg) - Eye of the Hedad (A.M Cummins) - A Stirring of Sand and Dust (Jo Seysener) - Tears on the Water (A.R. Johnston) - Lost Legacies (V.P. Allasander) - Sea of Troubles (D.S. Durden) - Docile (Galina Trefil) But all in all, I've enjoyed every single story and I thank you all, dear authors, for giving me such a wonderful ride!
