So my heavy @janeplanuk box arrived today with my month’s supply of food. I wasn’t disappointed with the packaging and selection I have chosen. The only problem was where to store it all! So my first lunch was Pea and Wiltshire Ham soup with two Oatmeal original biscuits. The soup was flavoursome with a wonderful consistency. I was definitely full after this, however I am well aware that I will be hungry by mid afternoon, as I must wait for my stomach and appetite to shrink. I am tracking all of my food and drink input with @myfitnesspal, which feeds nicely into @withings health mate @apple #iphone app, giving me, and my medical team, a full holistic view on my current health. Having suffered a multiple medical issues over the last few years, this has played a major part on my increase in weight. It’s a vicious circle of medical issues, mobility and weight. Having had some worrying test results back by my GP, drastic measures have been called for. With fantastic support from my local @nhsengland GP, food and diet plans by @janeplanuk and the tech via @myfitnesspal and @withingsuk part of @withings - I am determined to turn this around, if not for me but for my family. Loving my tach and gadgets, I look forward to try all of this out to have a holistic view on my overall health and it’s development. I plan on doing a post once a week on my progress. Hi everyone. I am a stay at home Dad. Geeze doesn’t that sounds like an opening line in an AA meeting! Much like in an AA meeting, I never thought I would be saying these words four years ago! Since leaving school I have always been career driven, worked hard and very long hours - eventually becoming a Senior Manager or a large IT MSO (Managed Services Organisation), in which I was paid well. I have two children, a son, born in 2014, and a daughter born from a previous marriage, born in 2003. I always thought that a Mums job was the hardest out there; this conception gleaned from experience via weekends, holidays and Mums nights out! Now I am a stay-at-home Dad, I can agree that my preconception is just! Yes a stay-at-home Dads job is tough, but there are a lot of benefits.
