人面樹 - Jinmenju
The #jinmenju is a strange #tree which bears #flowers looking like human heads. These heads cannot speak, but they do smile and can even laugh.

神虫
しんちゅう • Shinchū
Shinchū are holy insects. While they have a ferocious appearance, shinchū do not attack humans. Instead, they feed on demons and evil spirits. In particular, they prey upon yōkai which cause disease and spread epidemics. They rip their victims apart violently as they feed, leaving pools of blood and body parts in their wake. Their appetites are as big as the shinchū themselves. Every morning, a shinchū will consume three thousand demons, and every evening it will devour three thousand more.
Silkworm moths are considered holy creatures, and the term shinchū has been used as a poetic name for these insects since ancient times. They were held as miraculous creatures, due to their both their physical transformation from worms into moths, and for the precious silk which they produced.

Attractive, but highly toxic.
Atropa Belladonna
Derived from the name of the Greek Goddess Atropos (she who may not be turned aside i.e ‘the inflexible’ or ‘the implacable’), one of the three Greek fates or destinies who would determine the course of a man’s life by the weaving of threads that symbolised his birth, the events of his life, and finally his death, with Atropos cutting these threads to mark the last of these.
Belladonna comes from the Italian language, meaning “beautiful lady”.

Have you heard of master Zhuang’s paradox?
I dreamt I was a butterfly, now I’ve woken up and no longer know if I’m a person who dreamt he was a butterfly, or If I’m a butterfly who’s dreaming it’s a person.
What are you?
A person or a butterfly?
Maybe I’m both

I’m going to create a new art tag, to all of you artists out there... #ScenicSketchMonday
I always felt like drawing scenery, and background “wasn’t my thing”. Always saying “I’ll never be good at backgrounds”, without even trying... Just daydreaming about being as good as the impressionists one day.
Since scenery, backgrounds and landscapes are my “weakness”. I decided that I had to practice them! At least once a week! And I encourage you to do so too! (even if you are a BG artists).
I realized that drawing forests, woods, nature scenery... makes me super relaxed... (Now I know why Bob Ross was a landscape lover, drawing all those happy trees)
Tag your beautiful scenery every Monday!
P.S: I already posted some scenery sketches the other day... and it was friday... but whatever!

I drew the dynamic trio... The mysterious Fletcher, the cute kinkish looking leather boy Gore, the sexy ‘I got the dance moves’ Gahan... I freaking love this guys! (I know Alan Wilder ain’t here, but... chill)
Let’s have a black celebration, to celebrate the fact that we’ve seen the back of another black day!

Warm up... fun with faces... “classical” composers edition! Beethoven’s, Mozart’s, Debussy’s and Rachmaninoff’s faces were the funniest to draw :)
