A: I love it

Surprisingly this is actually not an A+ from me, even though it’s one of my favorites. I love their dynamic, and I think they could have been really great together if the writers wanted to go in that direction.

The only thing that stops this ship from being an A+ to me is because they have so little screen time together. I mean I like making up my au’s and stories for them, but canon doesn’t give ladybug shippers much to work with lol. Still love them though.

And there’s a bit more of a rant under the cut bc I couldn’t help myself sorry aksjfjsjd. Don’t continue reading if you don’t want to read anything rant-related

but yeah it’s just kind of frustrating to me because I like the idea of ladybug as a ship but you kind of have to outright ignore canon sometimes for it to work, especially since it feels like the writers will do anything to stop Blake and Ruby from having more than 2 conversations in EIGHT VOLUMES despite the fact that they’re main characters and their names are literally part of the title 😭

OKAY I had some Interesting ideas about rwby au’s that make the ending of volume 8 even angstier and I wanted to ask if anyone’s already written fanfics about a certain concept in particular:

Basically, instead of the island being limbo or an afterlife, it’s just a place that’s disconnected from remnant. In this au, team rwby (plus Jaune and Neo) find out that they can’t leave the island, so they actually wind up staying there for good. They have no more battles to fight, but they’re also permanently separated from everyone who isn’t on the island, including all of their other friends and family.

(I’m not really planning on doing anything with this concept right now, I was mostly just curious to see if anyone had written/drawn like this yet)
