I get that JP was a raging asshole to many fandoms, but I don't understand why people are hating her about Nina. It's not like she forced her to leave..

Well I think that’s just it, she’s been a raging asshole to nearly every fandom. And while she didn’t force Nina to leave it was under her control to give Elena/Nina more shit to do and give her a decent closure arc that would acknowledge everything that all of Nina’s characters have gone through. Elena has basically been set dressing for this entire season and there’s four episodes left. She took the shows’ two main ships, both of whom had shippers who were waiting for their endgame and didn’t even bother to give them any relevant story lines this season. They were closing out the end of an era on the show and have wasted the entire season on meaningless, nonsensical drivel that people don’t even like. And to top it all off, they were planning on dragging along the audience and the fans until the last possible moment and only fessed up to Nina’s departure because it was accidentally outed. I mean even as a person who has been waiting for the triangle to end for years I recognize what an absolutely shitty job JP has done, she has once again made every wrong choice possible and dicked over the fans because she’s incompetent and inconsiderate. She may not have had any control over Nina staying or going (which I tend to find a little dubious), but she had control over LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE and she completely screwed the pooch.
