Hm.. having a lot of thoughts 2nite. Half asleep as I type tbh. Remembered I wanted to look into something quite literally “how to not feel bad when ur rpg character feels bad” apparently there’s a whole term for when ur character’s emotions affect your own. Character bleed/roleplay bleed or most commonly just “bleed” apparently originally from the larp community but applicable to any manner of rpg.

Thinking abt like . If being a definitely mentally ill person is just effecting the way I am… Affected by bleed- or if like. Nobody’s talking about the issue I had (slash still sometimes have).

I see a lot of talking about romantic bleed, or anger bleed. Yk like “step back and reevaluate how you feel about your fellow player” but like . Brother what if it’s just me. Like what if it’s totally internal. Brother what about depressive bleed. What happens when I’m playing a motherfucker who’s Fucked Up and shit is Getting Worse for her. What happens when every ending is bad and this bitch just keeps getting worse mentally, like what then. I mean I’m better now, I haven’t legitimately roleplayed in ages (mostly due to that experience) but I don’t wanna just. Never roleplay again. So how do I stop that from happening again?
