Not sure if this has been asked before but what pen and art program do you use?

hi!! TYSM!!! i use autodesk sketchbook pro (not smart enough to learn a new one like procreate lol)! i use this brush (its one of the presets):

but a lot of the time my drawings are dark pencil on paper that i've scanned in & cleaned up! i'll use that brush for that, but its generally my ol reliable for drawing digitally. i keep the high pressure/low pressure sizes very far apart, so i can sketch with both tiny marks and filling stuff in, without having to switch brushes.

for these two panels, the first is digital (i traced over a traditional scan but it didnt look good enough by itself lol) and the second is a scan that i've edited:

you can see the difference in the quality of the lines! i find traditional easier to do sometimes, and i much prefer how it looks when scanned and finished, but it can be really hit and miss since it requires more cleanup and i can't 'edit' it so easily!!

Wooled, what program do you use to draw? Also, do you draw with a mouse or pen?

As for physical tools, I have an XP-Pen Artist 22e Pro that I draw with, though I used to use a Wacom Bamboo Create when I was just starting out. I wish I could draw with a mouse, but I learned to use a right hand with the mouse, even though I'm left-handed. So drawing with a mouse was always really hard for me, regardless of whether I try using it with my left hand (I don't have practice using the mouse with my left), or my right (I'm not right-handed, hehe). Though a while back I did try to draw a piece using only a mouse and my right hand! My auto-smoothing tools were on maximum for this, and involved a lot of undo/redo. The lightning strikes are the only part of the piece that I didn't use a stablilizer for, if you want an idea for how me trying to draw a straight line looks with a mouse.

What do you use to draw?

I have a surface pro 8 at home and I use a 22in cintiq at work. Occasionally… I do personal art at work LOL. I use Photoshop CC almost exclusively except the occasional phone drawing which I’ll do on HeavyPaint or Autodesk Sketchbook (but mostly Heavypaint). What brushes do you use? For painting I use the same horrible brushes I downloaded from deviantart like 14 years ago and I cobbled them together for download here. And for lines ive been using shiyoon kim’s brushes which you can grab here. 

What do you use for plein air paintings? If it’s digital, almost exclusively Heavypaint. Traditional, I use gouache. A mix of Holbein acryla and normal gouache either windsor newton or m. graham.

What kind of sketchbook do you use? I use moleskine cahier XXL sketchbooks! I’ve been using moleskine cahiers for probably over 10 yrs now? they come in packs of 3 for like 30USD (the price went up recently booo but $10 per book is still not bad) for the largest size. I think a lot of people associate moleskine with intimidatingly fancy covers & paper but the cahiers are rly lightweight and flexible. you can bend the xxl into a roll like a newspaper and the covers are a light cardboard so you can draw all over them. I always have trouble with spiral sketchbooks getting fucked up in my backpack because I really throw my stuff around a lot but the binding on the cahiers can take a beating and have never fallen apart on me.

probably you get a lot of that question but what program do you use for drawing??? im looking for one that would suit me and i want to experiment with some :V

I'm using Clip Studio Paint Pro (old version 1.x), though the recent subscription policy for newer version of CSP is kinda pain in the ass == (you can find out why on here), what I'd really recommend are Krita and Medibang, which are quite compatible drawing softwares in my opinion and can be downloaded free from their official page. Additionally if you can also check out some light-weighted painting softwares like autodesk sketchbook and Paint tool Sai
