Super rare Aaliyah fan photo via @warlordthagreat (Via Instagram) with a date of June 9, 2001 - BTS of a mystery video/photoshoot.
He shared more information about this photo, saying Aaliyah was eating lunch with her crew (they were on break after filming; WHAT they were filming was never released). He yelled out a joke to her to get her attention (which worked as she laughed about it). He worked up the nerve to ask for a photo and says he was the only one who was able to obtain a photo of her behind the scenes between takes on this day.
“Man going through old flicks and found this one With Aaliyah it was amazing working with her that day and I was only one got a pic. R.I.P 2001” - @warlordthagreat (via IG)
Shoutout to Vee (TheBest.Aaliyah) for finding this and sharing it with the fan community. Please make sure you all show her some love and follow her on Instagram @TheBest.Aaliyah

Cosplay shenanigans, part three
On day two of Greater Austin Comic Con, I brought my Undertaker Funko Pop for John Swasey to sign, and he did...
...and we posed for a "selfie" again.
I wish the handler (taking the pics) had warned me the flap of my pouch was up... and that the top of the High Brew (coffee) was showing in my urn. Ah, well. 😆 Yeah, it was a coffee day. Mainly because I was able to sneak the canned cold brew into the event using my urn! ⚱️🥤🤣 (The lid closes over it, even with the biscuits in there, too!)
Later, I attended a panel of him and Eric Vale. I asked a question of John only, since it was so specific, and apologized to Eric for not having a question for him, and Eric pretended to be bummed about it. But I asked John what he liked about Undertaker and about voicing him. During his answer (that it's because Undertaker is "funny" and "tells jokes and loves jokes" and "evil" and gives him the opportunity to do a really different voice), he told the audience I was the best Undertaker cosplay he's seen, and he got the audience to clap for me. Squeeee!! Then Eric added-on an "answer" about not knowing the character (something like that). I said Eric made me laugh, so he could get one piece of information out of me (John laughs about it, and so do a few in the audience). Eric asks for my SS#, and I just start saying "444-44-4444". I didn't get to explain then, but later I went to John's table to explain why I kept saying "4" to Eric (I was being punny, basically saying "death, death, death..."). And John loved that, so we did a fist-bump. 💀 🤜 🤛 💀
Last night, I was reviewing purchases through Square, and I sent a message to John, but in 3rd person, I think, because I wasn't sure if he really handled this himself. Basically, I said "Mr. Swasey was very cool" and "I'm glad he enjoyed my cosplay." But I didn't screenshot it because I wasn't expecting any reply. This afternoon, I saw this:
I'm thinking about replying, but I don't want to too quickly... or to blather-on too much. Might explain that was only my third convention. Might explain I have done other manga canon UT looks before, at the first convention I did. Might explain I only started putting cosplay together in 2017 and didn't wear it until 2018... and that I'm in my 40's, so I'm really late to the whole thing. 😆 Oh, and I might add that I'll have to find out when he will be doing autos and stuff around here again, because I have all the DVDs. 😂 I might at least bring Book of the Atlantic....
I'll update here, if I send him any more messages, and if he replies.
