An aphorism can express also absurdity, ambiguity, foolishness, nonsense, amusement and paradox, because it is the king of the metaphorical language.

The law of aphorisms Evidently we could read various essays, articles and even books on aphoristic writing, or on short literature, which certainly has many relationships with poetry, the symbolic or metaphorical expression of it, and with the multiple definitions of the various sciences, but what I would like to point out in this introduction to the following article is a reflection by the great critic, poet and essayist T.S. Eliot, who argued with great conviction that to be truly great poets it is not enough to have language and vision; it is also necessary to possess a great philosophical and/or theological system, "which Shakespeare lacked and Dante did not", and for this reason, again according to the great author, Dante was a greater poet than Shakespeare. However, without making a comparison of value between the great literary giants of all time, I would just like to emphasize the aspect of possessing or not a great philosophical or theological system. Well, as far as the aphorism and the various intellectual speculations on the most disparate questions are concerned, we can already immediately highlight that characteristic which also for the author of the following text must be present in order to characterize the aphorism as such and to give it precisely its deepest essence, that is, it must be brief, personal and philosophical, on what then pertains to the aspects of being definitive or having a surprise effect, it could be discussed further. Furthermore we can say that aphorisms can be extrapolated from more extensive literary works, or be creations in their own sense, but to truly be such and make worth of their essence, they must express in one way or another the poetic and philosophical vision of the author, or better yet they must have an objective, an end, and a value above all of a philosophical nature, which must express the artistic intent of the writer himself. This intent can be aimed at expressing a scientific definition, or at conveying a social, economic, literary or philosophical criticism, or even at suggesting various useful behaviors for achieving a certain goal, or face a certain situation, which is why in general aphorisms often have a lot to do with dealing with ethics, logic, satire, irony, humour, politics, economics, science or education, basically all subjects that have always been involved with language and philosophy. Following my experience as a writer of aphorisms, I can say that I have always dealt with various disciplines and have carried out multiple activities, the first of which concerns the world of education and training, I have always had then a very critical, polemical and often satirical or at least humorous attitude towards human stupidity and its most illustrious leaders and followers, and therefore I have always observed, mocked and attacked it with my aphorisms. In conclusion I have clearly developed my philosophical and in some sense also theological vision by elaborating the synthetic principles of Daimonology, which in addition to re-evaluating the original meaning of the Greek Daimon, or the Latin genius, have as their philosophical basis the ethics of knowledge, and the practice of a lifelong, widespread, and shared education without any barrier of social caste or economic class. With these intentions my aphorisms were written, which convey my ideas, and in most cases have all the characteristics indicated in the following article, that I certainly consider as one of the best on this subject.

James Geary on aphorisms The Five Laws of Aphorisms by James Geary based on his book We are what we think. The philosopher J. S. Mill once observed that there are two kinds of wisdom in the world: "In the one, every age in which science flourishes surpasses, or ought to surpass, its predecessors; of the other, there is nearly an equal amount in all ages." The first kind of wisdom is scientific. It consists in what we know about the world and how it works, and how we put that knowledge to use through technology. Since the Industrial Revolution at least, each age has surpassed the scientific achievements of its predecessors with astonishing speed. Mills calls the second type "the wisdom of ages," a somewhat exalted term for what we’ve collectively learned about human nature through the experience of individuals across thousands of years of history. This kind of knowledge is unsystematic, consists in psychological rather than empirical facts, and is present in more or less equal amounts in every historical period. So Dr. Phil McGraw potentially has just about as much - or as little - of this kind of wisdom at his disposal as the Taoist sage Lao-tzu, who lived in China about six hundred years before Christ. "The form in which this kind of wisdom most naturally embodies itself," Mill concludes, "is that of aphorisms." Why aphorisms? Because they’re just the right size to hold the swift insights and fresh observations that are the raw data of the wisdom of the ages. Aphorisms are literature’s hand luggage. Light and compact, they fit easily into the overhead compartment of your brain and contain everything you need to get through a rough day at the office or a dark night of the soul. They are, as the nineteenthcentury author John Morley observed, "the guiding oracles which man has found out for himself in that great business of ours, of learning how to be, to do, to do without, and to depart." Here, then, are the five laws by which an aphorism performs its oracular work. 1. It Must Be Brief If brevity is the soul of wit, as Shakespeare observed in one of his many aphoristic insights, then concision is the aphorism’s heart. Aphorisms must work quickly because they are meant for use in emergencies. We’re most in need of aphorisms at times of distress or joy, ecstasy or anguish. And in cases of spiritual or emotional urgency, brevity is the best policy. The author of The Cloud of Unknowing, a spiritual instruction manual written by an anonymous English monk in the latter half of the fourteenth century, knew this when he advised his students: "Short prayer penetrates heaven". The Cloud of Unknowing was composed as an aid to contemplation, and it’s packed with sound spiritual guidance and sweet admonitions for young men just entering the monastic life. The book is made up of seventy-five very short chapters, with amusing and sometimes impenetrable titles like "The Three Things the Contemplative Beginner Must Practice: Reading, Thinking, and Praying" and "A Man’s Outlook Is Wonderfully Altered through the Spiritual Experience of This Nothing in Its Nowhere." Each chapter is written in very simple, direct prose, in an avuncular tone that highlights the author’s wisdom, equanimity, and good humor. The book’s title refers to our imperfect knowledge of God, but the author urges his readers to "hammer away at this high cloud of unknowing" through meditation and prayer. The Cloud’s language mostly clings very close to the ground, however, and the book is replete with down-to-earth tips on how monks should pray silently to themselves throughout the day and how they can find the sacred in the most mundane daily chores. Chapter 37 explains by means of a surprisingly commonplace metaphor why pithiness is next to godliness: A man or a woman, suddenly frightened by fire, or death, or what you will, is suddenly in his extremity of spirit driven hastily and by necessity to cry or pray for help. And how does he do it? Not, surely, with a spate of words; not even in a single word of two syllables! Why? He thinks it wastes too much time to declare his urgent need and his agitation. So he bursts out in his terror with one little word, and that of a single syllable: "Fire!" it may be, or "Help!" Just as this little word stirs and pierces the ears of the hearers more quickly, so too does a little word of one syllable, when it is not merely spoken or thought, but expresses also the intention in the depth of our spirit. Aphorists are people who’ve experienced "extremity of spirit," and aphorisms are read by people in the same predicament. They are terse and to the point because their message is urgent. There’s no time to waste. An aphorism can be anywhere from a few words to a few sentences long; the French call the former an aperçu, a swift, sweeping insight, and the latter a pensée, a longer, more leisurely train of thought. But only a fool makes a speech in a burning house. That’s why the author of The Cloud of Unknowing hammered his meaning home in such short, vivid phrases. When you find yourself in extremis, aphorisms tell you everything you need to know. The rest is just salad dressing.

Literary essence of aphorisms 2. It Must Be Definitive In the Life of Samuel Johnson, James Boswell describes the great English lexicographer as "a man of most dreadful appearance … He is very slovenly in his dress and speaks with a most uncouth voice … He has a great humor and is a worthy man. But his dogmatic roughness of manners is disagreeable." What Boswell fails to mention, however, is that a little dogmatism is no bad thing when you’re compiling a dictionary, as Johnson was from 1746 to 1755. Johnson was famously convinced of his own opinions, and not shy about declaiming them, essential qualities for both the lexicographer and the aphorist. After all, a definition - like an aphorism - must be, well, definitive. In fact, the term itself is derived from the Greek words apo (from) and horos (boundary or horizon), so an aphorism is something that marks off or sets apart - that is, a definition. Aphorisms and definitions assert rather than argue, proclaim rather than persuade, state rather than suggest. Johnson’s most famous aphorism - Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.- wouldn’t be nearly as piquant if he had couched it in all kinds of caveats and qualifications. Of course, aphorisms aren’t necessarily 100 percent true - Ambrose Bierce, Johnson’s twentieth-century counterpart, contends, for example, that patriotism is the scoundrel’s first refuge - yet they demand assent through the declarative style in which they are expressed. The English essayist William Hazlitt put it well when he wrote of aphorisms, "There is a peculiar stimulus … in this mode of writing. A thought must tell at once, or not at all." Because aphorisms must tell at once they often take the form of definitions - x is y. There is no deliberation or debate, and no supporting evidence. We must literally take the aphorist at his word. That’s usually easy enough because those words are so lucid that they compel their own conviction. Of no one is this more true than Johnson himself, whose aphorisms could easily have served as entries in his dictionary of the English language. Here are two of his less optimistic pronouncements: "Life is a pill which none of us can bear to swallow without gilding". Johnson defined the lexicographer as "a writer of dictionaries, a harmless drudge." But aphorists are far from harmless. They are troublemakers and iconoclasts, dogmatists whose majestic authority commands consent. They are, by definition, revolutionaries who hold their truths to be self-evident. 3. It Must Be Personal In 1955, Alfred Kessler, a physician and collector of the works of G.K. Chesterton, was poking around a used bookstore in San Francisco when he came across a copy of Holbrook Jackson’s Platitudes in the Making. Jackson, a literary critic and contemporary of Chesterton, had this little book of maxims privately published in 1911. But as Kessler flipped through the pages of the slim volume he realized that this was no ordinary copy of Platitudes. Scrawled in bright green pencil beneath each of Jackson’s maxims was a handwritten reply: either an endorsement of the idea behind the saying or, more often, an emphatic rejection accompanied by an alternative aphorism. For example, penned underneath Jackson’s "He who reasons is lost" - was the arch retort, "He who never reasons is not worth finding". Kessler recognized the handwriting, and turning back to the front of the book was startled to read the following inscription: "To G.K. Chesterton, with esteem from Holbrook Jackson." Kessler had in his hands Chesterton’s personal copy of Platitudes in the Making, and the impassioned scratchings in green pencil were Chesterton’s ripostes to Jackson’s aphorisms. Kessler had stumbled on the greatest discovery of his collecting career and recovered for Chesterton fans some of the great English author’s most incisive sayings.

Sir Francis Bacon on aphorisms If you had never read a word by either Jackson or Chesterton - the former now largely forgotten and the latter best remembered for his detective series the Father Brown stories - and Platitudes was recited aloud, it would be easy to guess which aphorism was by whom. Jackson fancied himself a modern romantic, an atheist philosopher in the shadow of Nietzsche, so his sayings are filled with disdain for convention and praise for man’s impulsive, irrational nature. Pretty typical of Jackson’s output is: "Don’t think - do". Chesterton, on the other hand, was a devout Catholic rationalist, as well as a committed socialist and environmentalist long before the latter was a fashionable occupation. He did believe in God and in man’s triumph over the baser instincts through reason and morality. So his reply is a fairly accurate summary of his philosophy, too: "Do think! Do!". It’s this personal quality that gives aphorisms their power to charm and enrage. An aphorism takes you inside the head of the person who wrote it or said it. "The thought… must be stamped with the hallmark of the mind that thinks it," as critic and aphorism junkie Logan Pearsall Smith wrote in the introduction to his 1947 anthology of English maxims. Aphorisms are not bland generalizations about life, the universe, and everything but are deeply personal and idiosyncratic statements, as unique to an individual as a strand of his or her DNA. This is what distinguishes the form from proverbs, for instance, which are really wornout aphorisms that have had the identity of the original author rubbed away through repeated use. The personal touch is important because aphorisms are not bits of uplifting text meant for passive consumption. They are challenging statements that demand a response: either the recognition of a shared insight - what Alexander Pope described as something that "oft was thought but ne’er so well expressed" - or a rejection and retort. As the Jackson-Chesterton exchange shows, aphorisms are intimate encounters between two minds. If they don’t give you a little shock, something isn’t right. Francis Bacon, the English author, politician, and scientist, loved aphorisms precisely because of this ability to upset preconceptions. He inherited his affection for the form from his father, who had quotations from the classics carved into the columns of the family manor at Gorhambury, near St. Albans just north of London. The younger Bacon recommended the use of aphorisms because they pique curiosity rather than satisfy it, provoke further thought rather than thwart it: "Aphorisms, representing a knowledge broken, do invite men to enquire farther." Lunedì, 08 agosto 2005 Il libro degli inganni delle donne Orbene... vi delizierò in quest'inizio giornata parlandovi di un libro che mi è dato da leggere (avendo finito "re" Stephen King e aspettando con ansia che qualcuno di voi me ne regali un altro) nella battuta finale della mia ascesa verso la laurea-impresa incomprensibile, misteriosa ed oscura nella sua ardua riuscita. Il libro è: Sendebar "il libro degli inganni delle donne" nella cui descrizione si legge: In stretta relazione con la letteratura gnomica della Spagna del secolo XIII, e al tempo stesso intessuto di motivi tipici del folklore universale, il Sendebar documenta il gusto e insieme l'esigenza, assai vivi nell'aristocrazia spagnola dell'epoca, di autorappresentarsi e di delineare un proprio immaginario mediante antichi modelli narrativi di provenienza orientale rielaborati in testi che rivelano una sensibilità narrativa e persino una vocazione romanzesca del tutto nuove. In sostanza, il libro è costituito da una serie di racconti brevi in successione, tutti incentrati sui raggiri e la malvagia disonestà delle donne nei riguardi di ignari, benevoli, affabili, nonché succubi uomini che si trovano spodestati, illusi, maltrattati e ignorati da quelle malvage copie carbone delle meretrici di Babilonia che se li rigirano come pedalini sporchi e pieni di buchi all'altezza dell'alluce valgo. Senz'altro, questi, motivi tipici del folklore universale! Ora io mi domando - senza scadere nella sagra della banalità e della mediocrità - se anni e anni di letteratura romanza ci portano l'esempio di un triviale patriarchismo che insegna in testi che rivelano una sensibilità narrativa e persino una vocazione romanzesca del tutto nuove quanto le donne meritino di essere trattate in maniera marginale e irrisoria, in quanto esseri scialbi, di poco conto e di poca importanza - oltre all'accoppiamento e all'allattamento dei pargoli - ma allo stesso tempo ci educano a quanto questi esseri demoniaci vadano temuti e scacciati via per evitare di soccombere, QUANTO di questa mentalità c'è dietro al comportamento di alcuni esseri, definiti erronamente "uomini" che non si fanno scrupolo di trattare le donne a mò di deliziose bambole gonfiabili? Mi propongo come collaboratrice di una VERA, nuova narrativa di vocazione odierna e attuale post-Bridget Jones: "Come pucciare il biscotto e darsela a gambe. That's why I thought to link the surrealistic poetics with the spirit of my creation, and that's why the Daimon Club was born. Carl William Brown One of the first examples of surrealistic writer and daimon guided author was Laurence Sterne. He was born in Ireland in 1713 end died in 1768. As a clergyman, Sterne was rather unusual. Besides being involved in frequent amorous escapades, together with some friends he formed a group called "The Demoniacks" which used to meet at Skelton Castle, a curious house on the border of the Cleveland Moors, (belonging to a friend of Sterne's, who called it "Crazy Castle", where they indulged in moderate revelry. When I found the Daimon Club I didn't know about Sterne's association, but now what I intend to point out is that unfortunately we don't have a castle, and it's always more difficult to find people who like to be open minded, not only from a sexual point of view, but also from an artistic and intellectual one. La data della Domenica di Pasqua è diversa ogni anno perchè viene calcolata per mezzo di un calcolo basato sul giorno del primo plenilunio dopo l'equinozio di primavera (21 Marzo). La Pasqua può quindi cadere tra il 21 Marzo e il 25 Aprile, pertanto la data di inizio del Carnevale può essere compresa tra il 10 gennaio e il 14 febbraio. Il Carnevale termina quaranta giorni prima della Domenica di Pasqua con il Martedì Grasso. Il giorno successivo, conosciuto come il Mercoledì delle Ceneri segna l'inizio della Quaresima, un periodo in cui i fedeli si astengono dal mangiare carne nei giorni feriali. Per il 2022 pertanto il Carnevale finisce il 01/03/2022. Possono però suscitare un poco di commozione e di emozione quando aiutano a ricordare tutti i grandi e valorosi guerrieri caduti nell'immane e secolare battaglia contro le avversità dell'umana imbecillità. Carl William Brown I potenti che governano il mondo non sono altro che stupidi e crudeli imbecilli, tuttavia la gente o li vota inconsapevolmente o li asseconda timorosamente, vivendo al tempo stesso nella più completa indifferenza di quello che accade ai nostri vicini, preoccupata soprattutto di fare il proprio dovere, vale a dire lavorare, mangiare, riempire le fogne e talvolta procreare. Il risultato delle condizioni del nostro pianeta è sotto gli occhi di tutti, benché si preferisca egoisticamente far finta di niente e continuare a ripetere ipocritamente che va tutto bene e che viviamo nel migliore dei mondi possibile. Guerre, povertà, violenze, sopprusi, intolleranze, ingiustizie, schiavitù, assurdità e insoddifazioni profonde sono all'ordine del giorno e rovinano la vita alla quasi totalità della popolazione, dimostrando una verità molto semplice, ovvero che gli esseri umani non sono altro che insulse e vanitose macchine termodinamiche impegnate solo ad inquinare e a distruggere la nostra madre terra, creandosi vicendevolmente una quantità innumerevole di sofferenze. Tuttavia c'è chi spera ancora in un mondo migliore e crede in qualche misteriosa divinità superiore che possa perdornarci di tutti i nostri misfatti e possa far rinsavire questa bizzarra, stolta e scriteriata specie di bestie. Nonstante questo tipo di fede in un ignaro ottimismo, la nostra sorte rimane tragicamente ineluttabile, solo la morte infatti potrà portarci un po' di serenità, quindi direi di smetterla di ignorare la realtà elogiando la vita ed esorterei tutti ad impegnarsi maggiormente per legalizzare e favorire la morte, soprattutto quella dei nostri avidi carnefici. A Berlino, il 19 dicembre del 2016, vicino alla chiesa Gedächtniskirche, nei pressi dello Zoo, un Tir nero con a bordo un autista polacco, morto ammazzato, un carico di acciaio e un non meglio identificato presunto terrorista, ora alla macchia, poco dopo le 20, si schianta sulla folla del mercatino di bancarelle di Natale allestito per l'occasione, causando poco più di una decina di morti e una cinquantina di feriti, a dimostrazione del fatto che nell'Europa civile, razionale e cristiana, è pienamente garantito il pluralismo democratico ed ognuno può santificare le festività nel modo che crede più opportuno per la propria fede religiosa e perché no, anche politica, economica e sociale! P.S. Morale della favola? Guardarsi sempre attorno in modo estremamente guardingo, il pericolo infatti può sbucare dal nulla da un momento all'altro, così, all'improvviso e in questi casi bisogna essere preparati ad evitarlo! Ma io dico, e andare a spalare un po' di merda invece! L'Italia infatti più che di preghiere, di giubilo e di uomini illuminati dalla più profonda imbecillità, ha bisogno di innumerevoli spalatori! Questa può essere una proposta ragionevole anche per tutti gli immigrati che sostano senza fare un cazzo negli alberghi o negli ostelli cattolici della penisola, e per tutti quei politici che propongono buone riforme per colmare sempre di più il letamaio del bel paese, c'è da spalare, vogliamo capirla o no! La stessa ricetta vale ovviamente anche per la Germania, che deve smaltire oltre un bel po' della sua merda, anche le centrali nucleari presenti sul territorio, per dei costi irrisori che si aggirano intorno alle decine e decine di miliardi di euro, che alla fine pagheranno i cittadini, come al solito, mentre in Francia e in Polonia gli stessi impianti continuano allegramente a produrre energia! Amore e riflessioni di Carl William Brown Forse dev'essere proprio così, qualcuno deve comandare, deve condurci, il rischio però è che ci conduca allo sfacelo, alla catastrofe, e ci faccia giungere all'apocalisse tra i dolori più laceranti ed atroci. Arrivati a questo punto c'è un'osservazione di un certo rilievo che può aiutarci a capire molte cose; Federico II° di Prussia (anche i governanti talvolta sanno riconoscere la stupidità), un potente sovrano, non c'è dubbio, una volta esclamò: "Se i miei soldati cominciassero a pensare, nessuno più rimarrebbe nelle mie file." e questa breve e sarcastica frasetta ci spiega dunque che i potenti hanno bisogno, per portare a termine i loro nefasti progetti, di gente fedele e ossequiosa che, per paura o per denaro li segua ciecamente nelle loro folli imprese di conquista e di sterminio; ma allora non sono solo i potenti che non hanno cervello, come ipotizza Hugh Freeman nel suo libro Le malattie del potere, ma a quanto pare sono anche i loro seguaci ad avere qualche problema. La religione non è altro che l'oppio dei popoli, e per di più è una droga tagliata molto male, dannosa e pericolosa quanto incredibilmente economica, che riesce a dare il massimo delle sue stupide allucinazioni nella povera fede dei credenti o nei penosi discorsi dei suoi amministratori; senza poi contare che genera la più numerosa e complessa burocrazia che ovviamente procede di buon grado imparentandosi con quella degli stati che sono disposti a fare con essa dei profittevoli concordati; il tutto fertilizza un ottimo terreno per la povertà intellettuale e per la criminalità più o meno organizzata che si impegnano a dare il meglio di sé in ridicole carnevalate organizzate in occasione di matrimoni di interesse o di funerali di rappresentanza, come può essere per esempio l'ultimo caso delle esequie comiche e sfarzose di un misero boss di un clan di criminali, strozzini, faccendieri, spacciatori e truffatori di Roma, città che ormai a buona ragione è sempre più l'onorata capitale del nostro bel stato di merda e si pregia pomposamente di fare affari con tutti i più sgradevoli coglioni che la specie umana abbia mai generato. Si, si, stiamo proprio parlando sempre di quella religione che nutre anche i nostri fedeli fratelli islamici o i guerriglieri dell'Isis che ovviamente in quanto ad imbecillità non vogliono essere inferiori a nessuno, tanto meno ai potenti del mondo! L'unico dubbio che irrimediabilmente mi rimane è questo, chi sono i più stupidi di questa enorme baldraccata, la gente comune che paga e soffre sempre, i politici, i governanti, i finanzieri, gli industriali e i criminali che ci guadagnano sempre o più modestamente tutti quei predicatori della legge falsa, o quegli artisti che la raffigurano, che vivono discretamente alle spalle del proprio prossimo senza mai fare un cazzo di logico? Carl William Brown Nella storia della cultura e dello scibile umano gli studiosi, i critici e i filosofi che si sono cimentati nelle tematiche più strane non mancano di certo; abbiamo ad esempio intellettuali di buona volontà che si sono applicati alla filosofia della musica, alla storia e teoria dell'aforisma, alla metafisica dei supereroi, al cyberporno nella società antica e moderna, alla tessitura dei cestini sott'acqua, all'impatto degli zombies sulla stampa di qualità, all'etica ed estetica della professione più antica del mondo, all'ermeneutica critica dell'epistemologia artistica della letteratura poetica e romanzesca, per non parlare poi di tutte le numerose branche della psicologia, dell'economia, dell'arte e della religione, dove la fantasia di questi accademici non conosce limiti; orbene, per non dilungarmi troppo, consiglio a tutti questi benefattori della specie umana, visto le grandi doti, capacità e possibilità di cui evidentemente dispongono, di dedicarsi un po' anche all'approfondimento della filosofia ontologica, linguistica, metafisica, artistica, pragmatica, pedagogica, politica, economica e giuridica della merda, non si sa mai, potrebbero ottenere delle grandi soddisfazioni e apportare al tempo stesso dei grossi benefici al progresso dell'umanità. La prefettura mette a disposizione dei buoni pasto agli immigrati, e loro cosa fanno, li offrono a delle prostitute in cambio di prestazioni sessuali non meglio identificate. Ma per Dio, in che nazione viviamo, avranno ben diritto questi poveri disgraziati a soddisfare i loro bisogni primari e a fare qualche scopata, e allora suvvia organizzatevi per fornirgli anche un po' di puttane, magari potrebbero recarsi direttamente negli alberghi dove alloggiano, per gli altri rimarebbe ovviamente sempre la strada; è semplice, basta istituire dei buoni appositi, delle convenzioni, un sito ad hoc. In questo anche la chiesa potrebbe fare benissimo la sua parte, se poi ha dei problemi con le mignotte, potrebbe sempre favorire e sviluppare i rapporti omossessuali, settore in cui mi risulta abbia maturato nei secoli dei secoli una certa esperienza. P.S. Un appello anche a tutte le donne sole della penisola, accoglieteli nelle vostre case, ospitatene almeno un paio, e assaporate o riscoprite una volta per tutte i piaceri della carne! Brown sul Natale Certamente non sono un esperto di questioni internazionali, tuttavia sono un profondo pacifista convinto, dunque per il prossimo Santissimo Natale, vi somministro questa soave riflessione. L'Europa e la NATO dovrebbero darsi una mossa, addestrare qualche milione di mercenari, di tutti i colori, e inviarli bene armati a ristabilire la democrazia in russia. Si entra dal confine con l'Ukraina e poi si spara a vista, tutti quelli che si incontrano devono morire e poi si procede fino a mosca. A Mosca, a Mosca, come dicevano le tre sorelle di Checov. Ormai è così, se vuoi la pace, devi prepararti a fare la guerra, altro che sanzioni dei miei coglio.. Carl William Brown Per quelli che non amano particolarmente il Natale o che in questa occasione di festa fanno delle riflessioni piuttosto ciniche, ricordatevi questo bel pensiero di Charles Bukowski che recita appunto: "Il Natale serve a ricordare a quelli che sono soli che sono soli, a quelli che non hanno soldi che non hanno soldi, e a quelli che hanno una famiglia del cazzo che hanno una famiglia del cazzo!". Quindi poi finite le celebrazioni regolatevi bene di conseguenza,  in merito e a proposito! Nel frattempo nascono nuovi partiti che inneggiano all'uguaglianza e alla libertà, ed io da povero intellettuale, parco, mite, modesto e pacifista, non posso fare altro che sperare che si riaprano i forni crematori! A Berlino, il 19 dicembre del 2016, vicino alla chiesa Gedächtniskirche, nei pressi dello Zoo, un Tir nero con a bordo un autista polacco, morto ammazzato, un carico di acciaio e un non meglio identificato presunto terrorista, ora alla macchia, poco dopo le 20, si schianta sulla folla del mercatino di bancarelle di Natale allestito per l'occasione, causando poco più di una decina di morti e una cinquantina di feriti, a dimostrazione del fatto che nell'Europa civile, razionale e cristiana, è pienamente garantito il pluralismo democratico ed ognuno può santificare le festività nel modo che crede più opportuno per la propria fede religiosa e perché no, anche politica, economica e sociale! P.S. Morale della favola? Guardarsi sempre attorno in modo estremamente guardingo, il pericolo infatti può sbucare dal nulla da un momento all'altro, così, all'improvviso e in questi casi bisogna essere preparati ad evitarlo! Madonne visioni e letterati Chi dice che agli italiani non piace fare la coda, ieri sono passato per ben due volte davanti all'ufficio postale vicino a casa mia, e con grande giubilo e vibrante soddisfazione ho notato che al suo interno c'era una fila della madonna. Dovrebbero mettere anche un sovrapprezzo per ogni servizio, perché almeno la gente sa come passare e sfruttare il tempo in un modo costruttivo e dignitoso, e la qualità, in un mondo che funziona, dovrebbe essere sempre ben retribuita. Già solo per questo il mito del Cristianesimo dovrebbe farci capire il valore del suo ineguagliabile messaggio spirituale. Dicevo, il culto della dea madre, tutti infatti nasciamo dalla donna e tutti sappiamo sin troppo bene quanto le madri aspirino alla realizzazione dei propri figli. Ma ahimè per una madre che si rallegra ce ne sono milioni e milioni che piangono, e allora, allora risolviamo questi indovinelli. “Fermati sei bello”! A morte i diavoli e non solo loro. L'Eroe non è altro che un figlio nato dall'unione di un dio o una dea con un essere umano, è un geniale essere intermedio a metà fra gli dei e gli uomini destinato ad intervenire nel mondo con imprese eccezionali. L'eroe sa lottare con estremo coraggio e generosità, e per una ragione o un ideale ritenuti validi e giusti arriva persino al sacrificio di se stesso perché è consapevole che le sue gesta dovranno continuare ad alimentare il mito, il racconto, la narrazione. L'origine di questa storia risale ad alcuni anni fa, ma forse faremmo meglio a dire che inizia agli albori del cristianesimo e magari anche un bel po' prima. Comunque siamo nel 1992 quando una strana donna contatta un personaggio ancora più strano. I due non si conoscono ed il motivo del loro incontro è una consulenza linguistica che la signora richiede al giovane studioso di cui non conosce nemmeno il nome. Il tutto si risolve in una settimana e da origine ad alcune traduzioni in varie lingue di un piccolo libricino di preghiere che riguardano una povera veggente di campagna a cui è apparsa a più riprese la madonna. La cosa potrà sembrare assurda a tutti, ma non al nostro strano e surreale letterato che nel frattempo è rinato più di una volta e ora si fa chiamare Carl William Brown, ovvero il fondatore del Daimon Club! Il testo della comunicazione è breve, deciso, laconico, sintetico, suggestivo. Il ricevente non ode altro che queste parole: "Caro amico, tu sei ateo, ma sei più religioso di un mistico ed è per questo che voglio che tu critichi il potere della stupidità del mondo. Io sono la madre dell'umanità, la quale diviene sempre più assurda ed egoista e si dimentica sempre più spesso di applicare il messaggio cristiano. Ora io voglio che tu comunichi il mio verbo ed in compenso io ti aiuterò nella tua battaglia contro il potere e l'autorità della banalità. Le nostre voci si leveranno alte nel cielo, nel mito, nel racconto, nella gioia e nella sofferenza. La religione non è altro che letteratura e la vita non è altro che arte, tutti devono poter comunicare, tutti devono poter conoscere senza alcuna intolleranza di sorta e visto che tu hai sempre studiato e letto le sacre opere, devi avere il diritto, anche se non credi, di poter dire la tua. Divulga perciò le mie parole e saranno stupidi, egoisti ed intolleranti gli altri se non divulgheranno le tue..." A dir poco folgorato dalla geniale intuizione il nostro eroe si senti investito di una secolare missione e colto da una strana e pacata eccitazione, dopo aver visitato per bene il suggestivo luogo se ne andò via quasi compiaciuto. La suggestiva storia per il momento finisce qui, anche perché i suoi protagonisti non vogliono andare oltre. I loro cammini sono divisi, le loro avventure sempre più strane, ma rimangono varie cose che li accomunano, e sono il mito, il racconto, il mistero, le visioni, la sofferenza, il dolore, la meditazione, la riflessione, la pace, la lotta ed il desiderio per una vita più felice. In questo i nostri attori non sono poi così diversi e per questo il nostro eroe si appresta a rendere il suo più completo, devoto e sincero omaggio alla Madonna Rosa Mistica delle Fontanelle e alla sua cara veggente Pierina Gilli di Montichiari.

Madonna Rosa Mistica Per concludere questo breve e simbolico articolo, voglio aggiungere che dopo circa 30 anni da quel fatidico giorno di primavera dei primi anni novanta, Sabato 7 dicembre 2019, vigilia della grande Solennità dell’Immacolata, durante la concelebrazione eucaristica presieduta dal Vescovo di Brescia, S.E. Mons. Pierantonio Tremolada, è avvenuta l’ufficiale proclamazione della canonica istituzione del Santuario diocesano Rosa Mistica-Madre della Chiesa. Si tratta di un passaggio storico che segna profondamente un lungo percorso ecclesiale iniziato in questi luoghi da oltre 50 anni, e ancor prima presso la Chiesa parrocchiale di Montichiari. Tutti hanno accolto con riconoscenza questa decisione, maturata non senza molte difficoltà che inevitabilmente accompagnano questi percorsi, e così questo complesso fenomeno spirituale e mariano sorto in questi luoghi potrà continuare il suo percorso di sostegno e consolazione della nostra Chiesa, anche in forma ufficiale. Fatta questa doverosa premessa, la quale ci induce a pensare, come unica risposta logica che abbia un senso, ad un profondo nichilismo e assenza di motivazioni etiche ed estetiche che possano trovare delle ragioni serie per continuare le nostre esistenze, passiamo oltre. Questa breve prefazione è del tutto diversa da quella che avevo immaginato di scrivere quando terminai il libro in oggetto, anche perché bisogna tornare indietro nel tempo di almeno una trentina d'anni. Ovviamente da allora molte cose sono cambiate, e naturalmente in peggio. Senza tuttavia entrare troppo nei particolari, anche perché non so quanto possano interessare al gentile lettore, voglio solo riportare alcuni fatti e ricordi di vita vissuta, per dimostrare che tutto sommato il contenuto e lo stile dei miei aforismi avevano una loro doverosa ragion d'essere, anzi col passar del tempo oserei dire che sono in genere sin troppo miti, gentili e pacati al cospetto della crudeltà della nostra stupida realtà. Vorrei ricordare infatti che tutta la mia produzione di natura polemica, critica, satirica, umoristica, letteraria e filosofica costituisce una lucida invettiva contro il potere della stupidità, o per meglio dire contro la stupidità del potere e dell'autorità, in senso assoluto. Ed ora ecco un breve resoconto di questi ultimi anni.

Aforismi volume terzo Arrivato dopo un lungo peregrinare ad aver superato la soglia dei 63 anni mi sono ritrovato ormai libero dall'insegnamento e finalmente in una sorta di pensione, ma non c'è per niente da stare allegri e vedremo il perché. Nel frattempo ho perso mio padre e assisto mia madre gravemente malata da più di 14 anni. Non navigo nell'oro, anche perché alcuni dei miei investimenti si sono rivelati una catastrofe, e non sto a narrarvi le vicende di questa grande multinazionale israeliana che ha fottuto per bene i suoi azionisti, arricchendo al tempo stesso i suoi amministratori, come ripeto non ho voglia di narrare tutta la storia, dico solo che forse le malefatte dello zio Adolf non erano altro che azioni preventive, magari dovute a strane coincidenze della stupidità universale, ma anche in questo caso penso sia meglio sorvolare. Un'ultima cosa ancora prima di entrare nel cuore della questione, per quanto riguarda la mia salute, diciamo che ho un piede nella tomba e l'altro in cancrena, e visto l'andazzo della sanità pubblica in Italia, anche in questo caso non c'è da stare molto allegri, da aggiungere inoltre che le cose sono notevolmente peggiorate in questi ultimi decenni, come avrò modo di narrare nell'edizione aggiornata del mio libro Ars Longa, Vita Brevis, di prossima pubblicazione, online e gratuita. Ecco perché spesso alcuni medici vengono aggrediti e certe sale degli ospedali, soprattutto i pronto soccorso, distrutte. Certe manifestazioni di violenza sono certamente da condannare, come del resto chi porta all'esasperazione i poveri utenti. Da quando scrissi gli aforismi di questo libro, fino ad alcuni anni fa, la vita qui in Europa era andata tutto sommato abbastanza bene, poi la stupida crudeltà di tanti dittatori e dei loro sostenitori ha fatto il proprio corso ed è ricomparsa la guerra. Anche in questo caso non voglio dilungarmi, per chi fosse interessato a leggere cosa ho scritto su questi argomenti, basta che visiti i miei blogs, e troverà di certo una lucida e accorata spiegazione. Come dicevo sono profondamente disilluso e visto i progressi dell'intelligenza artificiale, della tecnologia, delle armi, della crudeltà e della stupidità umana, penso che la letteratura dei miei scritti sia completamente ormai superata e fuori luogo, le mie riflessioni facevano parte di un certo umanesimo, di una certa cultura filosofica, ma ormai la vita degli uomini su questo pianeta è completamente priva di qualsiasi valore umanistico, siamo giunti nella zona atroce del più profondo e innato materialismo, della stupida ferocia dell'inconsapevole e caotica entropia delle particelle, senza senso cercare di inseguire un certo ordine nel tentativo di migliorare la situazione. Concludendo, per chi non fosse a conoscenza di cosa possa riservargli il destino, posso solo citare alcuni miei articoli sul sistema pensionistico in Italia, sempre presenti nel blog Aforismicelebri.com. In ogni caso, per rendervi l'dea vi racconterò questa breve storiella. Quando iniziai ad insegnare con una nomina annuale all'ITIS di Brescia, avevo già fatto 10 anni a part-time nel privato. Un mio collega dell'epoca sui 52 o 53 anni sarebbe andato in pensione l'anno dopo, e ci raccontava che con la liquidazione, avrebbe preso un bel camper e se ne sarebbe andato in giro tranquillo per l'Italia, in pratica se ne sarebbe stato in una sorta di vacanza permanente. Bene a distanza di 30 anni, ora non è più possibile andare in pensione ordinaria prima dei 67 anni e la liquidazione ve la danno anche un paio d'anni dopo. Per chi poi apparterrà completamente al sistema contributivo, la pensione sarà circa il 60% dell'ultimo stipendio, all'epoca per gli statali con 40 anni di servizio era il 100%. Certo ci potranno ancora essere degli anticipi, ma molto penalizzanti, e quindi per farla breve, si passerà dal mondo carcerario dei lavori forzati e debilitanti, al dorato mondo della libera e ansiogena povertà, in pratica il contesto in cui sono finito io stesso. C'è poco da fare, certamente c'è anche chi sta peggio, in fondo la vita non è che dolore, ci si deve abituare e rassegnare, perciò la letteratura, la scrittura e la lettura non sono altro che lievi rimedi per continuare a soffrire con un minimo di dignità e di scanzonato e lieve umorismo, per quanto riguarda invece cercare di porre fine alla stupida entropia della nostra realtà, beh, in questo caso la morte è l'unico rimedio e quindi anche l'omicidio, da considerarsi ovviamente come una delle belle arti. Jonathan Swift Ora, un’ultima avvertenza, in particolar modo rivolta a tutti coloro che magari non hanno molta dimestichezza, o che non hanno capito a fondo il vero valore della letteratura; bene, sappiate che nei miei aforismi e nelle mie riflessioni potrete trovare un po’ di tutto, non prendete quindi i miei pensieri sempre alla lettera, ma cercate di capire il significato metaforico, umoristico e provocatorio di tante espressioni che, in quanto scritte da Carl William Brown, un personaggio non del tutto reale, sono da intendersi come una narrazione breve appartenente al mondo della finzione universale. La lezione è finita. Andate in pace. E uccidete! Talvolta l'uccidere esprime un'illusione di potere, è un modo per vendicarsi, per lanciare un messaggio, per lasciare un segno, un ricordo, è un ammonimento, un grido di allarme, un invito all'amore, una richiesta di affetto che esprime un desiderio profondo di pace, di serenità, che non potendo realizzarsi si esprime e si sfoga nel modo più tragico e drammatico. L'uccidere diventa così una protesta, una protesta contro il non senso stesso della vita ed il suo potere. Carl William Brown L'aforisma è un'espressione letteraria di carattere principalmente filosofico che non si preoccupa molto del tempo, dello spazio, degli intrecci e dei personaggi, anzi proprio per le sue caratteristiche universali, se ne disinteressa proprio.
