A few days ago my girlfriend took me to see the gothic marvels of her city
I'm from the west of France (Normandy and Brittany), I'm more used to gothic in stone with huge stained glass windows and sculptures everywhere, delicate columns and arches like de la dentelle de pierre (Église Saint-Pierre de Caen, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Bayeux, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen).
Here in Toulouse it's "gothique méridional" (southern french gothic), in bricks with less carved ornaments but everything is full of color paterns (and I love paterns).
first photo is a cityscape with the bell tower of the Basilique Saint-Sernin behind houses,
then four photos of the painted ornaments of the Église Saint-Nicolas de Toulouse (thanks to my 200mm lens)
two last photos are the vault of the Basilique de la Daurade illuminated by stained glass
