OC Rambles: Team Rapture Admins and the boss
(Me casually hyperfixating on my fanregion stuff again, sorry for the Pokémon Uranium crossover spam but here’s the basic rundown of Team Rapture’s upper admins and the boss that nobody asked for)
The Team is run by a total of 5 major figureheads, including the Boss himself at the top. The four directly below consist of the organization’s four Admins. Each of them are in charge of a specific function. Similarly to that of the Boss, all 5 of them use code names derived from elements on the Periodic Table (Which is also where most of them get their names from) as well as having their own respective “Hazard/Field Suits” which are derivatives of the Boss’s “RAPTURES Suit (Same goes for the Grunt’s alternate field suits which I’ll explain these more in depth in another post)
“Ir” : (Real name: Dr. Irrian) Team Rapture’s medical officer. He’s responsible for making sure that the organization’s members are in tip-top shape. He’s quite skilled when it comes to treating radiation poisoning as well as having some knowledge on cybernetics as well.
Irrian is best described as a big dork but can be serious when the matter calls for. Namely he’s rather concerned for his boss and fears that he may be pushing himself too hard.
His Ace Pokémon is a Miasmedic.
“Md” : (Real name: Mendel) The IT guy of the group. Mendel’s main job is to make sure that the group’s technology is functioning properly.
He’s a bit of a prankster and good friends with Ruth. It’s not uncommon that his fellow admins find themselves being victims of his pranks, but they are all in good fun.
His Ace Pokémon is a Haagross
“Rf”: (Real name: Rutherford “Ruth”) The maintenance man. While seemingly intimidating on the outside, Ruth in reality is a pretty jovial guy once you get to know him.
He’s good friends with Ruth and the two often pull pranks around base. Their favorite target is Irrian.
His Ace Pokémon is a Luchabra
“Bk” : (Real name: Berkeley “Berks”) Head of security and the Boss’s “Right hand woman”. She can be quite aggressive and ruthless when it comes to battling, espically towards any adversaries who may get in the group’s way.
Yet despite that, Berks cares greatly about her fellow subordinates and like most of Team Rapture, views the group as one big happy family.
It’s well known that her and “R” have a romantic interest in each other and it’s one of the few times a few grunts and Admins have described seeing the Boss “Truly be at ease around her.”
Her Ace Pokémon is a Beliaddon.
====
“R” (Real name: Rayman “Rames” Larkspur): The leader of Team Rapture. The enigmatic and mysterious head of the organization who is almost never seen without his suit on.
His real name is Rayman Larkspur, the biological son of Professor Larkspur whom only planned to use him as a tool to further his own goals and was later left for dead at Plant Epsilon during the meltdown after the former grew suspicious about his plans.
Driven by a desire of revenge for how he was treated as well as what happened to Dr. Lucile, whom he sort of grew to see as a mother figure. R will stop at nothing if it means to track down Larkspur and dispose of him for good, even resulting to tracking down certain groups whom the former had “debts with” through the use of intimidation tactics. He has also made a promise to help Lucile, “perfect what they had created.”.
Despite his outward behaviors and the fact he can be terrifying when mad, deep down Rayman does have good intentions. He wants to find a way to better the world and hates seeing innocent people suffer (Namely by finding a way to properly de-contaminate irratied areas and convince Tandor to switch to a cleaner power source as he’s seen just how dangerous Nuclear Power can be, these two being the main reasons he formed Rapture as a research organization. The Larkspur and Evil Tram hunting is more of a secondary goal.) He’s extremely slow to trust people and often comes off as cold and calculating but will relax around those he feels safe with (Such as Team Rapture, whom he views as pretty much his family).
Rames does struggle with some health issues, many of which were made worse by the Plant Epsilon incident and the main reason his body has a ton of experimental implants in it, curtesy of a “Good friend from Dranowa.” But even then, if he pushes himself it can lead to problems.
His Ace Pokémon is a Nulceon named Pierre and specializes in Nuclear Type Pokémon.
(Aka Rapture is just one giant dysfunctional family of goobers who happen to scare the crap out of whomever gets on their bad side (Namely Team Rocket or Cypher whom are their main targets))

I loved your Toxic jealous Gojo.
I was wondering if I could request how their first Valentine would be like.
Or
Gojo x chubby reader. Reader feels insecure about her weight as she sees beautiful, skinnier women who would be a better fit for Gojo getting too close to Gojo. Both were shopping for clothes for their Valentine’s date or something.
Darling, flattery will get you everywhere around here 💙 but I've been working on something really special as a sequal to Sooner or Later, and I'm going to hold off on sharing it for just a little bit longer ;) thank you for enjoying it though!
Now, as for that Chubby!Reader x Gojo prompt you got there, I think youre onto something!
Now Presenting....
Tumblr media
Starring Satoru Gojo X Chubby!Reader
Tumblr media
Historically speaking, You had never been a big fan of clothes shopping. It made you hyper aware of your body in ways that made you want to crawl out of your skin. But, this time was different. This time, you were with your boyfriend, shopping for a new outfit for your first Valentine's day together. And with him hyping you up in quite literally everything you wore and-and here's the important part- actually meaning it, the experience wasn’t that bad.
At least, it hadn’t been. That was until you found yourselves at your favorite store. Your favorite store that just so happened to be fucking packed that day. Gojo must have sensed your sudden unease, as he hooked his arm in yours and gave you a gentle but encouraging smile. “I got a good feeling about this one, I think we’re gonna find the perfect fit!” He smiled, always the optimist. You couldn’t help but smile back.
“I think you might be right.” You smiled as you walked in with him. Almost instantly a drop dead gorgeous sales assistant came over, maneuvering her skinny waist through the crowd.
“Hi!” she chirped,  batting her long lashes at Satoru. Fuck. you thought, Here we go again. “My name's Clarissa, can I help you today?” she purred, standing closer to your boyfriend than she needed to. He took a step back.
“No thank you,” He smiled politely, holding you closer, “I’m just here shopping with my Girlfriend.” You’d always be thankful for Gojo’s awareness. You smiled at her and waved. Clarissa looked at you like you had four heads and a tail. Or, more accurately, a few extra pounds and a handsome boyfriend.
“Well, if you need anything, and I mean anything at all, let me know!” She smiled. You  felt violent, but walked away, boyfriend in arm, before you could act on any of it.
“Well that was ridiculous.” Gojo muttered, “Who flirts with someone who's clearly spoken for?”
“No clue.” You muttered, knowing exactly who would. The kinda person that thought that they were hotter than the significant other. The kind of person confident in their ability to break up the relationship.
“Um, Hi!” You heard an unfamiliar voice call out. You and Gojo looked over to see another patron trying to get his attention. MotherFUCKER you thought. This girl would look more at home on a runway than in a department store.
“Um, hi?” Gojo asked, tilting his head to the side curiously.
“I was just wondering, are you doing anything for valentines day? Cause,”
“He’s doing me.” You said coldly, trying to figure out where these bitches got off flirting with your boyfriend in front of you. She looked more than shocked at your words, and not for the vulgarity of them.
“You’re dating her? Really?” The girl scoffed in disbelief.
“I am.” Gojo said firmly, “And you can talk to her about it, instead of acting like she doesn’t exist.”
“I don’t want to talk to her anyway, Love,” You said, using the pet name with authority, “Rude assholes are rarely good conversationalists.”
“Oh, I’m the rude one” The woman scoffed, “Listen to yourself!” she said, because of course she did. You couldn’t win. If you were quiet and kept to yourself, you must not have loved him enough to fight for him. If you spoke up and got rightfully upset, then you were treated like a mad cow in more ways than one.
“Come on Darling, let’s not waste anymore time here.” Gojo muttered, pulling you away from the situation. “People sure are bold today, huh?” He sighed to you as the two of you looked through a dress rack.
“I think it’s because valentine's day is in like, two days.” You said, “People are getting desperate.”
“Maybe, bu-hey!” Gojo cut himself off, his eyes lighting up as he pulled a gorgeous red dress off the rack. “What about this one? It would look stunning on you!” It looked tight. You suddenly became aware of your body again.
“Oh, I don’t know ‘Toru..” you muttered.
“Will you try it on?” He asked, “Really, I think this dress is perfect.” He smiled. You looked into his dazzling blue eyes, and sighed. You knew you were going to give into him. He was like a puppy, excited to go for a car ride. How could you say no?
“Of course Satoru.” You smiled, taking the dress from him and making your way to the dressing rooms. You were reluctant to leave him alone while you went in, but you trusted your boyfriend. You slipped into the new dress and felt..well, conflicted. The dress was dazzling! Its hem ended at the perfect length to make your legs look long, the neckline made your chest look phenomenal and it hugged your curves in all the right places.
But that was part of the problem, wasn’t it? It hugged your thighs, your hips, your stomach. You hadn’t been so hyper aware of your body in a long time. But, seeing all of those beautiful girls, all thinner than you, fawning over your boyfriend, well…it would make anyone feel insecure. You suddenly felt like any of them could take him from you. Like you didn’t deserve him. Like he deserved better, prettier than you.
You tried to push those thoughts out of your mind as you left the dressing room. That didn’t last long though. You saw Gojo waiting for you, staring off into space as no less than 3 absolutely drop dead gorgeous women talked at him. It didn’t phase him. He could literally have any woman he wanted in the whole world. So why were you forcing him to stay with you? Why keep him locked down when he could do so much better?
It was then Gojo finally looked to the dressing rooms and saw you. His eyes lit up like a christmas tree and a smile that could melt even the coldest heart broke across his face. He broke away from the gaggle of now confused girls and rushed to get his hands on you, placing his hands on your hips. “I knew that dress was going to look amazing on you, but fuck y/n I didn’t know it was going to look that good on you! I’m hardly going to be able to keep my hands off of you.” He teased softly, giving you a quick kiss.
It was then that it hit you, like a bag of bricks slamming against your head. He didn’t look bored because he was just that used to beautiful women talking to him, or because he could have whoever he wanted. He looked bored because none of those women were you. Because he fully could have any woman he wanted, and he wanted you. And suddenly, your heart melted.
“Well that's the plan, isn’t it?” you giggled, wrapping your arms around his neck. For just a moment, your body issues were pushed back to the back burner, replaced by your love for the sorcerer before you.
“Hell yea it is,” He chuckled, stealing another kiss. “So this is the dress then?” He asked. You smiled proudly as you nodded.
“I think it is.”

I want to ask, how do people in China actually view Lego Monkie Kid?
No doubt that Lmk fandom as a whole has a major issue with drowning out the voices of people in China and the fact that this show is based on genuine relfion and mythology that is taken, from what I've heard and seen, quite seriously.
Now I've been a fan of the show for a very long time, so much so that it got me into researching and learning as much as I could about it jttw and the religion and mythology behind it all, which led to some interesting things I've noticed about it and the show as whole.
For one, lmk killing the Jade Emperor so quickly and easily was a bold move, seeing as it's the equivalent, from what I've seen, of taking Jesus and easily disintegrating him by throwing him down a flight of escalaters so hopefully they have an explanation for that later on. There's other things that have been pointed out like it not lining up 100% with the book and some minor things here and there, and people not understanding things cause they never read the book or because some things were changed and it was misinterpreted. However at the same time there have been many jttw adaptions (with this one being unique as it's more of a 'sequal') with some made by America and some made by China that also make changes here and there, from what I've seen and heard that are also loved.
Which leaves me a bit confused and to genuinely ask, how do people in China view lmk? Is it good or bad? Is it respectful or disrespectful? And is it okay for one to like and enjoy the show like me and many MANY others have been? I know it might seem like a silly question, but to overthinkers like me and many others out there (Yeah I see you), it can be pretty draining to think about how you could be enjoying a show that is harming others without you realizing it. So now I created this posts to hear your thoughts on it ^^
I do ask that it is kept civil as it's meant to teach and educate, not offend others or tear people down. I hope to hear your thoughts and learn more about all of this ^^

I am extremely confused as to how the 2006 Higurashi anime (a flawed adaptation of its VN but still a generally beloved horror anime) and the Umineko anime (an actual insult to its source material that both nonfans and fans of the VN its based on despise) are directed by the same person. What happened??
People often explain it as "oh Umineko is just inherently harder to adapt" which is true, but I think Chiaki Kon showed so much skill in the way she directed Higurashi.
The Studio Deen Higurashi anime (specifically the first season) is poorly animated due to its lack of a budget yes, but its still a competently made show. It not only has such a clear visual identity (from the iconic expressions, to the colors and how they sometimes drastically change hues depending on the setting/mood/time of day, to even things like shot composition and the angles utilized to create a sense of unease and dread) but also in general it's a fun, intense, creepy show to watch.
Even ignoring the iconic gore scenes that the anime is most famous for, there's so many shots that are permanently burned into my memory just because of the expressions or pose or colors or shot composition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's an interesting looking show! And it genuenly has a great atmosphere. If you're wondering what I mean, I think all you need to do is just watch the 2006 version of the "You're lying!" scene and compare it to the 2020 version from Higurashi Gou (sequal/remake series).
While yes, the 2020 version has cleaner smoother animation, the 2006 version in my opinion is more tense. The shot composition makes the scene feel urgent, and there's little extra touches the 2020 version doesn't have that makes it more impactful (Rena's scream of "You're lying!" making birds fly away from a tree behind her, not only creating an iconic shot visually, but incorporating further sound design to elevate the scene).
Circling back, but the Umineko anime is so unbelievably incompetant. It's not only a bad adaptation, but it's a bad show period. It's hard to follow and confusing unless you are familiar with the source material, and it's just such a surface level adaptation that's trying to recreate what Higurashi's anime adaptation did, but failing. It's extremely uninspired. Higurashi's anime adaptations often get criticized for their overuse of gore (to a point it mischaracterizes the series as just violence with no substance) and while that is a fair criticism, Higurashi still let us spend time with the characters a little before the murders start. The Umineko anime gives us half an anime episode of chill, before the drama begins, and only 2 anime episodes before the full on horror begins. We can't get emotionally attached to 18 characters in the span of two 20 minute episodes. Like that is impossible. Also the colors are flat and dull with nothing to offer, the animation isn't the best but that would be ok if it idk- gave us ANY iconic shots. The only good thing about the Umineko anime adaptation is just the opening and ending songs and mby the artstyle.
Also I don't want to hear any of you saying Umineko is impossible to adapt, when the Stageplay managed to do such a good job of adapting it into a shorter format and different medium.
Anyhow again, how are these two anime directed by the same person. I don't get it I rly don't!

(Un)popular SK Opinion: Ren&Jeanne make no sense and Men's existence is the most questionable of all
Alright, let me first get this out of the way because I'm a known Ren fangirl- no I don't hate Jeanne. I kinda used to after watching the original anime, but the manga as well as growing up and realizing she was just a brainwashed little kid who should be playing with dolls made me a defender of Jeanne and I firmly believe Marco should be in jail for what he did to her. But that still doesn't mean Jeanne and Ren started making sense, not even after Red Crimson. The only thing they share is a similar pain from their pasts, and that's not enough to make a relationship work for the long-term. Ask my parents. A relationship is build on so much more then just having a similar backstory and regrets. What do these two have in common, except for perhaps a better-then-you mindset on top of the aforementioned similar background?! We see NO build-up at all. Even in Red Crimson, all we get is as much as a two page scene of them being a couple. Yet even during that one scene between Yoh and Ren about having a family, it was implied he might already have a crush on Jeanne
HOW?! In every scene they were in during the main series, he was pretty much annoyed with her and the X-LAWS. So HOW?! And then we get to their actual relationship, which seems messy AF. Like, Jeanne and Ren got engaged before she was pregnant, but she had short hair during their wedding. Ren said she cut her hair short after she had Men. So, did she get pregnant during their engagement and is Men being babysat by the Jiang Shi during the wedding or something? Also, the 'holy maiden', giving birth to a child out of wedlock?! Are you kidding me?! Am I seriously supposed to believe that considering Marco was so strict and religious, Jeanne grew up to be like, 'A baby before getting married? Okay, no problemo.' It's not unheard of for teen moms to be allowed to get married when they are above 16, so why the fuck didn't Jeanne and Ren get married first in order to legitimize Men as their child? And then we get to their actual married life. Iron Maiden Jeanne, THAT Jeanne, who would shoulder all the sins of the world on her shoulders through regular self-torture, would travel through war conflicts to aid the people in need and would sleep in camps having barely anything, who turnt the X-LAWS into the world's largest charity organization, THAT Jeanne became a STAY AT HOME HOUSEWIFE?! EXCUSE ME?! Where the fuck did her noble mission go?! She's an ambitious martyr, yet she gave everything up that she worked so hard for to mope the floors of her home? That's character assasination if you ask me. As parents, they make zero sense either. Ren's pain and hatred of his family came from them robbing him of his childhood. Yet he's perfectly fine to send his SEVEN year old son into a dangerous tournament where nobody can be revived from the dead for the SLIM chance of them getting back Jeanne. EXCUSE ME?! This doesn't fit Ren AT ALL. The more you actually think about Ren sending his son into the Flower of Maize and how it is in stark contrast with how he wants to be different from his family's ways and his established character, the more confusing it gets. And I didn't understood why until I watched a YT video about Ren's character the other day, in which they pointed out the Shonen trope of having a rival-friend that the audience could root for in case they didn't like the main character like Goku and Vegeta. That's what Ren and Yoh are in the series, and obviously, a lot of the people reading the sequal read the main series. The more I think about it, the more I feel like Takei created Men and the Jeanne storyline to keep the Ren fans invested in the sequel. Which is why, its definitely poor lazy writing, and not even the only problem of poor writing in the sequel (I am looking at you Miss Alumi, you're way too much like some fanfic's poorly written OC).

I can't find anything else to verify this but this guy is usually pretty good with his resources. And I fucking KNEW there was something going on solely judging by Pedro's body language. He was fired from Skeleton Crew AND Kathleen is going to replace him for this show only. Its..It's... guys just listen.
If you’re wondering why season 3 was, to put it kindly, really fucking off? It’s her. All the bad choices that have been made (and I could go ON) since the sequals? It’s her. Disney literally had to step in and tell her that no, she can’t OFF Din Djarin and no, she can’t replace him as Din Djarin on all of the shows.
I have been a Star Wars fan since I was wee. WEE. And I have NEVER said “I won’t be watching that Star Wars thing.” So, congratulations Kathleen Kennedy - you’ve officially made me say “I absolutely refuse to watch this Star Wars story.”
Kathleen Kennedy was the WORST thing to ever happen to star wars. EVER.

Shady Rambles Dislyte Part 6: A Written Movie Sequal
So, I made this post yesterday, and after I was able to make a reddit post that I feel better summarized my point! It may be a tad pretentious in its writing and I do apologize for that, but still, I hope you enjoy!
As a lover of writing and Dislyte, I've always been unnecessarily invested in the story. Funnily enough, unlike most people the story and characters are really my main reason for not giving up on the game – in spite of all the less than favorable updates – so although many argue the story is sub-par, I quite enjoy it. This love of characters and story has made it so I try to keep up with most events. I'll be honest, I stopped playing the game after Valeria's event (and I have yet to read through the ones that I've missed) but I have since completed Cellblock Chaos so I'm making my way back into the game!
Needless context aside, I wanted to discuss the concept of grey morality and why it always bothered me when it was mentioned in reference to the Shadow Decree, it took me a while to figure out why but I feel that I can now put it into words. It is because the Shadow Decree are objectively an irredeemable terrorist organization that have committed human rights violations so extreme, that in a more realistic world Hyde would have been sentenced to death by firing squad upon arrest.
The issue with grey morality and the concept of an anti-hero is a lot of consumers and fans have the false mindset that if a villain has a 'point' then the villain is any less evil. Now, the issue with that therein lies with the fact that morality is less based on thought and more based on action, it doesn't matter if you have a "moral" way of thinking if your actions don't reflect that. This issue can be seen within the Shadow Decree in abundance, many of the characters have seemingly understandable reasons for being members, but their actions within the group contradict their so-called moral standpoint.
For example, many argue that the reason Hyde isn't a villain is because his research is all for the "greater good", he is an ends justify the means sort of person. However, you then have to take into account that Hyde actively partakes in and encourages human trafficking and non-consensual human experimentation. Does it really matter if it is "for the greater good" if you are actively allowing hundreds of innocents to die for experiments that lead to nothing at all?
I am brought back to two events in particular: Brewster and Yun Chuan's. In both events, it is revealed that the Shadow Decree's crimes run deeper than just bothering the Union and stealing their members.
With Brewster, we find out that Shadow Decree actively buys trafficking victims off what can only be described as a black market and experiments on them in an attempt to turn them into espers. These people do not consent, and are nothing more than cattle to them. Few are "successful" like Brewster, with a majority of them dying from the strain placed upon their bodies. Brewster himself was sold by his abusive father and still suffers immense trauma from his time under Kara.
Yun Chuan's hits closer to home however; as someone with many criticisms of the prison industrial complex – more specifically how inmates are treated – to hear that the Shadow Decree makes deals with prisons to experiment on inmates was incredibly chilling. It was one of the most true to life, realistic portrayals of how deep systemic corruption truly is, especially in how it mirrors the real life abuse of incarcerated people globally.
I simply do not see these as the actions of a "morally grey" group of people that only "want the best". I feel that the reason many are quick to slap the morally grey label onto the Shadow Decree is character bounties, most bounties are slice of life stories that show the characters going about their daily business, of course Ophelia and Catherine seem nicer and more likable. Though you then remember that they bombed an orphanage for virtually no reason and suddenly they seem less like good people.
Now, this isn't me saying that you cannot like them or that liking them reflect poorly on you as a person! I for one am definitely a Shadow Decree apologist haha, my top favorite espers are majority Shadow Decree, and I find them to be an interesting group of people with the potential for great storytelling. With that being said, I feel we as media consumers have a habit of becoming so attached to certain characters that we forget that their actions do indeed play a role in who they are.
To be a part of the Shadow Decree is to say that you are okay with human trafficking, human experimentation, terrorism, weapons smuggling, political corruption, prison industrial system corruption, child murder (remember the orphanage bombing that killed Stewart's lover and also a bunch of children?). The Union is certainly not free of skeletons, their rampant negligence shows this, however I cannot feel comfortable saying that they are in any way just as bad or worse than the Shadow Decree based on everything the Dislyte lore has told us.
TLDR: I believe the reason many argue that the Shadow Decree are morally grey, or that they're even a well-meaning group, is because many of the characters have sad backstories, attractive designs, and cute personalities. Though I cannot agree, because I feel that it disregards all the genuinely horrific (and mostly unnecessary) actions of the group; I don't see how people that bomb orphanages and experiment on trafficking victims can be any less than evil.
With all of that being said I would give my left kidney and run over a baby kitten if it meant that Catherine would blink in my direction.

aight im saying it i desperately need rise fans to shut the fuck up with negative opinions about mutant mayhem bc half the time you're just comparing it to the rise movie or show when they're both their own things with their own strengths and weaknesses
"i still think the rise movie was better and we should have had more and-" ur so annoying please stop. does this not sound even the SLIGHTEST bit familiar to yall?
like ok i didn't like every single part of the mutant mayhem movie. overall, i probably liked MORE of the rise movie than mutant mayhem, but the style and voice acting of mm is seriously phenomenal and im very excited to see where it goes with sequal movies and the show
admittedly i did not like the concept art, but the movie style is more polished and im enjoying it a lot (mostly donnie's tooth. idk why i just hate it sticking out like that lmao)
i know it's disappointing we didn't and probably won't get more of rise, but can yall stop needlessly hating on something that hasn't even been out for a goddamn week?
anyway im done i just saw tweets (xes? fuck elon musk dude) and it made me mad lol

Pokémon rambles: A new status effect for Nuclear Types (Novic/Hergeki Isles/Urainum)
An idea that came up from my fan region’s expansion storyline and a fan-made sequel to Pokémon Uranium. Since I wanted to expand the Nuclear type a bit: why not add a status ailment.
Introducing Irradiated (Stylized as RAD and surrounded by a green border) It functions just like that of a Pokémon being Badly Poisoned, but actually boosts a Pokémon’s Sp Attack status.
It’s not a common status ailment akin to that of Freeze since it cannot be inflicted through any status moves or abilities, instead having a low chance of being applied when a Pokémon is hit by certain nuclear moves (Namely stuff like Gamma Ray or even a new move known as Nuclear Winter (A very nasty move which has boosted strength in Snow/Hail or Fallout)
However a few types are immune to it: Namely Nuclear, Cosmic, and Light (or any Pokémon with certain abilities that prevent them from being harmed by secondary effects/status effects such as the Dranowan Cosmog evolution, Galasklisk)

Cobweb Movie review
I sure did expect it to be good, as the trailer did infact look good. How ever I was quickly lied to. Cobweb was marked as a horror/thriller, however I mark it as a thriller/mystery.
As the film starts we begin by seeing the main character, depressed. Now from the start, the movie is not happy. We see the mother and we know instantly something is not right with the child family. Which is usually potrayed later on in horror films. As the movie progress we begin to figure out what the monster is and how it is linked to the family. Yes there is a small bit of trickery, yet we are still able to know with in 30 minutes of the films start.
Now at this point the movie is showing it is more like a mystery as it's "jumpscare's" became predictible and they were also trick ones, which I will give props too. Even when you thought one character was going to be killed the writter played with our minds only for them to survive. When we get closer to the end, the deaths that happen all together at the end of the movie, are not "jumpscares" as once again, each jumpscare is predictible.
I don't agree that many character deaths should occur at the end of the movie and instead should have some sort of spread through out. I think what makes this horror is for the fact we do see blood and a few gory corpses, which was not that freaky unless your not a fan of gore.
I did infact laugh at some parts of the movie that was ment to be scary, but I could have already seen coming. Especially as the build up to a few jumpscares in particular was held for too long, no longer making the moment scary.
As for the ending, it had a low quality ending as a moment that happened ten minutes prior would have made a better ending then what we was shown. I think the movie is ment to be a sequal going by how it ends, how ever the ending 10 minutes prior would have made the better ending cause we would have had to think about what happened to the character, instead we are told 30 seconds after what we thought was the ending. Making the actual ending boring and predictible.
I will say this movie is not for those with arachnophobia or emetophobia, as we are able to see both. I rate this movie 2 out of 5 stars.

Hello boys, gals and nonbinary pals, this blog will be mainly about the character Onizuka Eikichi but I will also rant and reblog fan art and memes, feel free to talk to me as well
Tumblr media
Heya, a little about me
I am 21 and currently a student looking for a part time job while I study
Onizuka Eikichi seems to be my type even though I never even thought I had a type but the dude makes me blush like a lot, bro is hella ugly and his expressions are sometimes borderline scary but I really wish a guy like that irl can make me feel so hot and bothered
I love GTO, the soundtrack and the life lessons it gives
I prefer to read manga than watch the anime since it gives more detail and insight, backstory into the characters that aren't really explained in the animes or rushed
I like lingerie, and thigh high socks as well as cute things
I love 90/2000s nostalgia and the music from that period
I like plushies, ice cream, philosophy, flowers and dark humour
MBTI >>>>>> Astrology and I don't accept other opinions on this BS fake science, mbti at least uses the cognitive functons of a human
We should bring back the Rococo period and solve problems by debating to death and then fighting with swords
I am somewhat good at DDR but the machine at the mall broke
Strawberries and cherries >>>> any other fruit
Children are not welcome to this blog, thats about it, peace!
You can call me Ophelia or Feli for short, I made this blog since no one on this d@mned site shares their love for old outdated anime characters especially if the anime doesn't get a sequal or reboot, no one cared about Trigun until Stampede came out recently, and I don't even like the new version because Vash and Nicholas look like confused 18 year olds and the IT girl Meryl looks like a 12 year old boy and at least in the old one it had nice soundtrack and it represented tomboyish small chested women, now i feel like Vash is a 18-19 fresh out of high school confuded boy that can't even hold the guns, Nicholas had darker skin and now looks younger and is somehow more pale, I am not hating the new material, I love that people get creative but no one cared about trigun until now, not as far as I am aware. I will cry if they ruin Gurren lagann or Cowboy bepop because I sure as hell know GTO ain't gonna get a reboot ever and maybe that is for good because that is one of the most vulgar animes I've seen, let it rot but also give it attention and proper respect that it deserves-
Sigh, this is a post and not a middle school essay, well at least tumbrl has nice fan art and gifs and isn't full of overly angry people like twitter and reddit and that is what I love about this platoform. I will make edits/posters about GTO mainly but am free to talk to, I will also sometimes share works from other fandoms and rant about music or whatever happens in my life. Yeah thats it - thanks for reading up until now, I honestly didn't think anyone would read it
Here's a reward for you sweet beautiful human being!

Rico Rants: Star Wars
Today I woke up inexplictably angry at Star Wars canon post ROTJ and I don’t know what to do with that information. I haven’t read much of Legends and only know bits and bobs of that timeline, but I think my biggest issue is that both the Prequal and Original trilogy’s follow classical story telling tropes. And the Sequals... well.
Original Trilogy follows the classic Hero’s Journey that’s been used since the dawn of storytelling, with Lucas studying texts like The Hero with 1000 Faces and referencing his story with the author to make sure he was getting all the different ‘parts’ right. I can go into further detail but maybe later, Luke’s journey has been analyzed to pieces over the 40-odd years since Star Wars’ release.
On the other hand, Prequal Trilogy follows the line of a Tragedy where the Hero (in this case Anakin) rises and falls due to his Fatal Flaw (his over-protective/posessive attatchment to Padme) that was exploited by Palpatine. A Tragedy is almost the exact inverse of the Hero’s Journey even if the story/settings have a lot of paralells. Both stories offer a different form of catharsis by the time the end of the story is reached.
The Sequals... fall flat to me because of a lack of catharsis. Do I think they’re terrible? No (that honor falls to the Star Wars fandom and that particular brand of toxicisity). Instead of telling a whole new story they re-told the Original Trilogy’s Hero’s Journey with different characters and regressed old character’s story arcs to suit the narrative. Are the new characters bad? No, they had the potential to be brilliant- had they gotten their own story instead of D/isney trying to shoe-horn them into a story that’s already been told.
In conclusion, the entire story of the Sequal trilogy felt clunky, disorganized, and overly-reliant on callbacks and nostalgia to pull in old fans without respecting what the old fans have seen and come to expect of their childhood heroes. I’ve seen posts online describing how the recent D/isney shows such as the Mandalorian (which I adore tbh) , Ashoka, etc. could be used to re-contextualize the Sequals in a similar fashion to how The Clone Wars worked in favor for the Prequal trilogy. But if a company has to rely on extra materials to justify the choices made to tell the ‘main story,’ then that story isn’t that great to begin with.
I may go into further detail about this at some point but I just had to rant about this somewhere. These opinions are strictly my own and you are welcome to agree/disagree to your heart’s content. Just don’t come at me.

Every game I played & beat in 2022 and my thoughts / opinions.
Ai: The Somnium Files
While released a few years ago, I finally got round to playing it due to NirvanA Initiative being released and an acquaintance of mine adores these games. I'm a sucker for mystery based games, and the whole mental fuckery mixed with the somnium gameplay and eccentric characters just ticked all of the boxes for me. While graphicly it's nothing spectacular, I didn't really care because everything else kept me hooked and I'm very much cemented in the 'this is a highly underrated game' camp

Ai: The Somnium Files - NirvanA Initiative
This was not a sequal I was expecting to get, considering how the original game flew under the radar. Guess the creators were like, fuck financial success we want to make what we want - and I appreciate that. While I don't think the mystery is as tight as the first game, NirvanA Initiative wacked mental fuckery up 10 folds. I loved all the new characters; the gameplay tweaks and new additions made it even more enjoyable to play than its predecessor.

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp
This game only can exist and sell because us Danganronpa fans are starved for content following the five year dry spell since V3 release. It's basicly a repackaged version of the mini game you unlock when you beat the main game. Was it nice returning to my DR2 children and seeing all the new interactions? Yes. Did I cry over my best girl Mukuro getting some validation and recognition? Yes. Would I recommend? Absolutely not.

Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn & Heavensward
This year was the year I finally fell into the rabbit hole that was FFXIV. As an avid Final Fantasy fan, I tried playing a few years back but I didn't bite. I then tried again after my girlfriend switch servers out of solidarity and I got hooked. I found a great group of people to play & bard with and began to fall in love with the world and story. Unfortunately, I've not made a lot of progress further then part way through the post Heavensward updates because my completionist nature means I refuse to move onto the next expansion before I've done all of the available content & side quests. It's an on running joke about I will never get to Endwalker.
Hours played: 600 - 700
The Great Ace Attorny Chronicles
Last year I began to properly get into the Ace Attorny franchise. I played through Phoenix Wright Trilogy, and Apollo Justice on mobile & the first half of Duel Destinies (plz Capcom port them to console). I brought The Great Ace Attorny on sale and over the course of a few months played through all episodes. It took some time because heavy visual novel games takes a particular mindset as it required a lot of reading and I'm permanently tired. I loved the visual style and setting (Steam Punk Victorian London is a weak spot of mine - see Code Realize). I loved all the characters, from the main cast to the individual chapter characters. I didn't know all of the twists that were coming even if some I accidently spoiled some for myself. Just a pleasant roller coaster and places the Ace Attorney as one of my favourite video game franchises.

Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my favourite PS4 Games and one of the only western open world games I actually care for. For the sequal, I enjoyed the gameplay lots and explored every nook of the map. Unfortunately the story wasn't as engaging as the first, mainly because Aloy didn't develop and grow like she did in ZD. I loved the supporting cast a lot, particularly Beta, Kotallo and Alva. The gameplay will keep my coming back, though I hope they don't drag the story out until its just becomes empty.
Hours played: 70
Trophy achievements: 59/59
Jump King
Did I play this because many content creators did? Yes. Did I reach the top? No. I still had a blast chilling for a month or so playing this as a timekiller and seeing my progress and improvement.
Hours played: 10+
Life is Strange: True Colors
Think this was released in 2021 but I only got round to playing it in January. The first Life is Strange and Before the Storm had a very big impact on me, but I never played LiS 2. When True Colors was announced as a full game and not being released in parts, well I was intrigued. Playing it was like slipping into a cosy jumper you long forgot about the back of the closet. The gameplay and corniness was familiar but welcoming. The quality improvements in the graphics and controls was nice and made the whole experience better. I don't think I enjoyed the story and characters as I did the first game & prequel, but I also am happy to see this franchise that I have a soft spot for evolve and try somthing new.

Minoria
I brought this indie souls like on my switch for under £5 in a sale. I had been missing a game I could just pick up and play for half an hour or so. Its a 2D souls like and while there isn't to much to the story, the setting was enough to grab me in and I had fun exploring the map; I never got to frustrated with dying because 9/10 it was because of my own stupidity. For somthing I brought on a whim, I had fun.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus
This game I played in two halves. As a longtime pokemon fan I brought it on release and I put a good number of hours just running around catching pokemon and trying to fill the pokedex. I actually didn't progress the story because my completionist nature made me want to complete the pokedex in each area before I moved on to the next one. I eventually just sorta fell out of playing, having not even made it half way through the game. Then during the peak of the UK heatwave in the summer I was hospitalised with acute pancreatis and had to have emergency surgery to prevent me from dying. When I returned home it was to hot for me to stay in my room so I was downstairs a lot with only my switch and - since I had no money at the time - I picked up Arceus again and not only beat the story but also 100% the Pokedex, which I had never done before in a Pokemon game. It was a fun experiment by Game Freak and I hope we get another, expanded version of this game style in the future.
Hours played: 100+
Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose DLC
Now, I'm not a big RE fan - outside of the RE 2 Remake, Village was the only real RE game I had played (I had watched let's plays of RE7). For the most part I had a lot of fun with Village so when Halloween rolled around and I had no plans, I brought the DLC Shadows of Rose for some horror fun. And again, like with the first game, I had a lot of fun. Exploring the Castle again was a lot of fun, and they somehow made the Doll House even scarier like jfc. I liked Rose a lot and I cried at the stories resolution. A very enjoyable evenings entertainment.
Hours played: 3-4
Spiritfarer
Another game that came out a few years ago and I am only now just getting around to playing. It had been on my radar & wish list for a while and I finally picked it up during the time I underweather but not yet diagnosed with pancreatis and hospitalised. This was by far my favourite game I've played this year and the one I think back to constantly. The visuals are gentle yet stylised; the soundtrack soothing and the gameplay and story to well intertwined together. It was just such a chill game to play - I loved building my ship and recognising the whole thing every time I constructed a new building. I loved all the characters and their stories, and each one impacted me in different ways and I would get genuinely sad whenever I had to let someone move on. It one of those games I wish I could erase my memory of and replay blind all over again.
Hours played: 45+
WILL: A Wonderful World
An interesting little visual novel I brought during a sale. The premise is you have to move around pieces of the characters situation / dialog to change the outcome and progress. Some of the stories were kinda wierd and one that even kinda disgusted me, but the core gameplay was interesting enough that I played through to the end. It isn't a particularly long story, but I enjoy Visual Novel that add elements in so you aren't just clicking the continue dialog button.
Hours played: 10 hours
Honourable shoutouts to games I've started but not yet finished.
Persona 5: Royal
Pokemon Violet
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

tell me about the AUs
Well, mainly, there's what I call the Fan Kid AU. This one is a next gen sequal starring Allie Palmer, Vanessa Caylo, Mabel Caylo, Tobin Cunningham, and Trevor Hammerschmiddtt.
Summary: Willie's life is a wreck, while he & the rest of the team were able to escape Mercury they failed to save the planet from Gibbs along with everyone's grandparents dying, to make matter worse they're a laughing stock. They were lucky enough to get bailed out of trouble & regain their ability to keep being Titan Maximum because of Sasha's mom/President Caylo's ex-wife chewed him & Bitchface out along with threatening blackmail for them embezzling money & causing Gibbs to get his hands on a strong robot that shouldn't have been made.
While the team was able to continue for the most part they settled down but life still wasn't good. The happy endings they were hoping for is questionable with Palmer struggling to have a father/daughter relationship with his daughter, Willie stuck in a loveless relationship with Sasha & Sasha's living a washed version of what she wanted while her kids wish Willie would leave her as they respect him & not her. So far the only one doing well is Jodi who aside from having married/had a kid with Palmer served her custody time for the Gibbs incident & has gone back to her usual job. While things are mostly ok aside from their personal lives Gibbs has taken over half the galaxy.
One day Gibbs decides to kidnap Palmer, Jodi & Sasha leaving Willie & Leon the only remaining members of Titan Maximum left. With no other choices left Willie is forced to train his niece & daughters to be the next generation of Titan Maximum while dealing with whatever Gibbs has planned & running from the Titan Military. On top of that it seems like Gibbs has his own kids working with him & the captured members are stuck by themselves so they might have to learn to get along until who knows when rescue will arrive.
