The Villains Daughter
So! Years ago, back when the Justice League was only just starting out, only a year or two after their initial team-up, they had one of their biggest battles to date. A group of Extra-Dimensional Beings had burst into their reality, hellbent on destroying a Government Facility and the nearby small town in Illinois.
They barely managed to beat the Invading Army back, although the Government Facility and a part of the nearby Town had been destroyed in the battle.
Later, they would learn about what had happened. Apparently the Government Base, called a GIW Facility, had managed to finally Crack the secret to Interdimensional Travel a few days earlier. Unfortunately, they had opened a Portal into a Dimension known as the Ghost Zone, ruled over by a Tyrant King who wanted to enslaved all world under him. Their Breaching of the GZ had alerted the Tyrant King to the existence of their Dimension, and he had launched an immediate Invasion to try and take it over.
And the evidence supported this.
Wonder Woman shared Legends of her People, telling that their Founding Ancestor had fled the rule of a Tyrant King when she passed into the Afterlife.
Zatara shared his Magic Tomes, showing them passages detailing the horrific Rule of the Tyrant King of the Infinite Realms.
They even asked Boston Brand, the Deadman and resident Ghost about it. He hadn't been the the Ghost Zone in Years, but even he told them that he had personally fled the Tyrant King.
And they also learned that when the Tyrant King set his eyes on something, he did not falter on his Warpath to acquire it. The Tyrant King, Pariah Dark, would be back for their World, again and again.
And they needed to be prepared. This Battle was what kickstarted their true Commitment to the idea of a Team. They knew they could not defeat Pariah Dark alone, so they needed to remain as a Team.
But there was another thing that came about from the Battle.
While the JLA had been helping clean up, Wonder Woman came across a strange sight. A Baby had been left in the rubble of the GIW Building.
She asked around, investigated, and did all she could to find the babies parents. At first she thought that one of the GIW Agents had brought their kid to work that day, but their records indicated that none of the Agents had children of that Age. And Neither did any of the other workers who worked on the base, like the Janitors or the Kitchen Staff. And of they did, all of their children were accounted for.
She eventually came to the conclusion that the Baby must belong to somebody in the nearby Town, but that lead led nowhere either.
She finally came to the conclusion that the Baby's parents must have died in the Invasion, a very unfortunate but very real possibility. She was going to place her into the System, but over the course of her investigation she had grown fond of the Child.
She decided to Adopt the baby herself. She didn't know the child's name, so she had to come up with a new one.
"How do you like the name, Stella?"
The baby gurgled in delight.
...
Over the next decade of their Teams Existence, the Justice League had to fend off the Legions of the Ghost King's Army many more times. It seemed that Pariah had grown wise to the fact that they were the ones defending the Human Realm, as almost all of the later attacks were directed on them personally.
It made sense, they were the First Line of Defense against his Armies, if he managed to defeat them, their World would soon fall.
But they dealt with the attacks as they came. They had made it their mission to defend their Home from the Forced of Pariah Darks Army, and they would not falter now, or ever.
In the case of Wonder Woman, he Daughter had grown to be a fine little lady. Stella had eventually developed Powers similar to her mother, in that she could fly and had super strength, and had begged to be trained as a Hero.
And who was Diana to deny her Daughter her greatest wish? Over the next 5 years, Diana trained Stella in the ways of the Amazon's. Then, when Stella was 15, she had her join the newly formed Young Justice.
She made a great group of friends on that Team, and even started going by Ellie as a Nickname. Her best friend was by far Conner, though she didn't know why she felt such a strong connection to him? It felt like she could relate to him, but her situation was completely different?
Ah well, her Mom wouldn't mind having another kid, would she? She always wanted a Brother!
...
Meanwhile in the Ghost Zone, the Ghost King was getting anxious. After 15 years, his Agents in the Human Realm had finally managed to set up the Ritual needed to Summon Him into the Human Realm.
Who knew that accepting the Ghost King's Throne would bar him from entering the Human Realm through normal Means? He couldn't even use the Portal, he needed to be summoned or he simply wouldn't be able to leave his new home dimension.
But now, it was almost time. Just another year or two, and he would finally be able to enter the Human Realm. He would finally be able to Find Her. His Daugther.
Danny would finally be able to reunite with his daughter, Ellie.

Because all the drama with Lois, Clark ends up developing a much stricter but more flexible practice with concealing his secret identity from the rest of the Daily Planet. This mostly boils down to "Don't gaslight people" and "Just maintain that Superman doesn't have a secret identity and 99% of the time you can just gently nudge people to their own conclusions with regards to you." But he has like, one vice with regards to secret identity shenanigans and that's fucking with Steve Lombard whenever he gets asked what his workout routine is. Steve has been asking for years and Clark has never given him the same answer.
"Just the expert-recommended 150 minutes of mild aerobic activity and/or 70 minutes of intense aerobic activity a week!"
"You know that group of seniors who do Tai Chi in the park?"
"Tractor tires. Mine actually came off of our old tractor back in Smallville! I don't like the ones at the gym. Not enough.. um... dirt. How many squat reps? Uhhh.... 12?"
"BugFit? On the KordTech BugStation? You have these wands that you wave around but there's also this little platform that you step on and--? Oh I don't have the console, myself. I use Jimmy's."
"Pole dancing. Lois's idea."
And Steve is always that weird brand of macho-affable about it, like "Ahh you got me again, Kent! But I'll figure it out one of these days! I didn't spend 4 weeks painstakingly comparing the training regimens of the entire Metropolis Meteors team not to figure yours out!"
And in private this is fucking haunting Steve because he knows guys that wake up at 4 am 5 days a week to gun for the kind of lats Clark 'Ope' Kent has. He also knows it's not steroids because he's tracked down enough stories of that nature and knows Clark well enough to know that's really not in the realm of what's going on here. And here's Clark adjusting his stupid fucking glasses and saying with a perfectly straight face that he has that body from fucking pilates.

Dc x dp idea 49
Danny and Ellie are the same age in this. So people who don’t know them assume they are twins
One day Ellie gets found out. The GIW take her. Danny saves her. Danny gets them both out but at the cost of his identity.
It’s no longer safe for Danny or Ellie in the human realm. Bounty’s are up. People are trying to exterminate them.
They nope off into the infinite realm. Along the way to frostbite they get sucked into a natural portal.
They crash land on a farm. Danny is super fussy over ellie asking if she’s okay. Then kinda flying up to get his surroundings.
He had absolutely no idea where they were. It wasn’t the ghost zone.
Then two older people try to approach them. Danny nopes it out of there with Ellie. Flying them away.
They end up exploring this place called smallville. They were back human now. While Danny was being overly cautious, ellie wasn’t. To quote it wasn’t the first time someone tried to do experiments on her.
Ellie befriend a guy around there age named Connor. He has good vibes according to her.
By the end of the afternoon they have somehow been roped into join him and his adoptive parents for dinner.
It’s the same farm. They apparently have an older son as well. Seeing how there was a third with them. He introduced himself as Clark.
Ellie is immediately engaged in conversation with the older couple and Connor. He can’t just leave again. They couldn’t know who they were right.
Clark keeps trying to talk to him. Danny’s not here for it. He’d rather be leaving.
That can’t even happen now. Ellie “accidentally” let it slip they didn’t have a place to stay for the night.
That night Danny tries to tell Ellie this had to be a set up. But she didn’t believe him and went right to sleep.
One night became a week.
The a week into a month.
Somehow along the way the whole clone thing comes out and the fact that they were basically sentenced to death back in there old dimension.
Danny still thinks it was a set up

(SPOILERS if you haven't seen the show yet):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mxy knocks over a display case that contains the Helmet of Fate. The mystical, god containing item, makes its first appearance, along with Doctor Fate, in More Fun Comics #55 (1940) the panels were done by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman. The Helmet of Fate is the one controlling the body as it contains the god, Nabu, the Lord of Order. The helmet grants anyone who wears it magical powers and the mantle of the Doctor Fate. Usually the person most associated with the it is Kent Nelson but recent comics had Khalid Nassour take up the Doctor Fate name.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next we see Mxy pass by the Cosmic Rod of Starman/Stargirl. In the
comics the original owner of the Cosmic Rod was Ted Knigh, the original Starman. The Cosmic Rod he wielded was about the size of a flashlight. It wasn't until Starman #4 (1994) (W: James Robinson, P: Tony Harris, I: Wade Von Grawbadger, C: Gregory Wright, L: John Workman) that his son, Jack Knight took the new and improved Cosmic Rod that his father made and used it for himself to take up the Starman name. The staff would then get passed on to Courtney Whitmore aka Stargirl who at the time took up the name Star-Spangled Kid, when Jack retired the Starman identity to raise his kid. Courtney took up the Starman name as Stargirl and used the Cosmic Rod to carry on the name. The Cosmic Rod gives its wielder flight and energy projection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mr. Mxyzptlk then passes over a flight ring in the display. Very good homage to the Legion of Superheroes. Originally the LoSH wore belts to allow their members to fly, but Brainiac 5 was able to make flight rings so they can be less encumbered by the belts as seen in the panel from Adventure Comics #329 (1965) (W: Jerry Seigel, P&I: Jim Mooney, L: David Huffine). The LoSH are a group of young superheroes from the 31st century who are from various parts of the galaxy that fight evil as a team. The group was inspired by reading the history of what Superman did and they want to uphold his ideals and legacy. If they do show up in the show I'll definitely talk more about them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In another display we see the Soultaker Sword. The sword is associated with Tatsu Yamashiro aka Katana. It and Katana make their first debut in the Brave and the Bold 200 (1983) (W: Mike Barr, P&I: Jim Aparo, C: Adrienne Roy, L: Jim Aparo). The sword was forged by Muramasa, who imbued it with magical properties where whoever kills with the sword, steals the souls of the victim's. Tatsu's husband and children were unfortunately slain by the sword, wielded by her brother-in-law and Tatsu has since then taken the sword and use it to avenged those who were slain by him. Because of the swords magical properties, it can be used to harm Kryptonians. Yes magic is a weakness for Superman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When we cut back to the League of Loises ship, Jalana goes Flamebird on everyone and name drops Comet. This is a very good homage to Comet the Super-Horse. Comet made his first debut in Adventure Comics 293 (1962) (W: Jerry Seigel, P: Curt Swan, I: George Klein, L: Milt Snapinn) Comet, along with Krypto the Super-Dog, Streaky the Super-Cat, and Beppo the Super-Monkey, formed the Legion of Super-Pets to save the Legion of Superheroes and Superboy from Brain-Globes of Rambat. Give Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow a read if you want to check out a really cool Comet story.

Krypton gets a name drop, Superman's home planet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone on the MAwS team is a Kingdom Hearts fan.
Tumblr media
Kryptonite is finally introduced in the show, the most well-known weakness of Superman's. Fun fact Kryptonite made its first appearance not in the comics but on the Adventures of Superman radio show in 1943. It wasn't until 6 years later in 1949 that Kryptonite is introduced in the comics in Superman #61.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the League of Loises HQ we see MAwS Lois and Mxy walk down the hall with holographic projections of various Loises in the DC multiverse. The one on your left is obviously Lois Prime aka Fleischer Studios Lois the one on your right is Superman the Animated Series Lois. The one next to StAS Lois is Superwoman from Action Comics #60 (1943). The issue was created by Jerry Seigel and George Roussos where Lois dreams of having Superman's powers and saving the day.
Tumblr media
As Mxy searches for his hat we see him open up a cache of various weapons that the Loises have collected. Some of them are pretty recognizable like the Card Captor Sakura staff that's by Mxy's head, Guts's giant sword from Berserk above Mxy on the second shelf from the bottom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the episode wraps up we see MAwS lois activate the data sphere she took from the headquarters and sees evil Supermen tearing up the city. The first we see is an homage to Overman from Animal Man #23 (1990) (W: Peter Milligan, P: Chas Truog, I: Mark Farmer, C: Tajana Wood, L: John Costanza) and the second is designed after Justice Lords Superman from the Justice League cartoon.
Overman is from a world where all superheroes are part of the government and each one is a clone from him. Justice Lords Superman is from the two-parter episode "A Better World" where his Flash died, Superman kills President Lex Luthor in retaliation and he and the Justice League become dictators. Gotta admit Superman does look pretty cool in that suit.
That will be it for this week's episodes Easter Eggs and references. If you made it this far down the post and want to see the other MAwS Easter Eggs and references post you can find them here:

Imagine that you're just some random comic book nerd and you're into superheroes. You're really into this one particular superhero specifically, you've collected tons of comics issues about him, you know all the lore. Sometimes you even bring an issue or two to work with you, to read at your lunch break, and daydream about how cool it would be to be a superhero like your favourite blorbo. And then, one day, at work, as you're going around and doing your job, you have an accident and some stuff explodes. You actually get kind of caught in the blast! But fortunately you're not hurt, so you just clean up the mess and go about your day, no big deal. And then weird stuff starts happening and you gradually put together that the accident at work gave you superpowers. Not only that but the exact same superpowers as your blorbo. You immediately decide that the only correct thing to do with this development is, in fact, to promptly become a superhero. And then you name your superhero alter-ego after your blorbo
You are pre-CoIE Barry Allen
