But because I love my Holy Week, this is the parade of La Virgen de los Dolores (Virgin of the pains) in Lorca, (Murcia) her big day.
The blue scarfs are called pañuelos and every brotherhood (Paso) has a colour and and symbol. Blues (Azules) have a heart speared by a sword (Christ was speared in crucifixion, and also represents Mary's (María) grief and Whites (Blancos) have Saint John's Eagle.
Tonight, women will accompany the Virgin down the center of Lorca dressed as if lute (Manolas) carrying a candle each one, represnting the hope in Jesus resurrection.
The people with hats are not the KKK, they're dressed as nazarenos (a type of coustume that predates the 18th century).
Also the throne's bar are made of pure silver and not hollow, (also are carried by people not an engine); each manto (cape) is sewed in gold thread and made from silk with a dying technique (Tejedoras de Lorca is the group of women how still do this).
Lorca´s Holy week is really interesting cause is more a parade than a normal Easter procession, being a biblic-passional parade; we have Romans, Egyptians and more.
also the main street becomes sanded for horse´s well being, as they are used alone and in groups around the parade.
I will tell more about this holyday as Easter develops. :D
I've literally been going to at least one funeral of someone close to me every year since 2016 this is unsustainable! Do I make friends so quickly because I fear they'll leave so soon? I have like five hundred pounds of stuff from people that died and I can't get rid of it because I can't get new stuff with them. I'm so tired of being used to grief. When do I get to grieve for myself!
i’m running late for fandom friday (whoops) but i’m throwing a non-star wars artist into the mix! i love c-kiddo SO MUCH and his art style is wonderful and his design for caduceus clay is Inspired (cad is the “that’s nice” cleric from the mighty nein for the squad that doesn’t know)
the art i’m linking isn’t cad but i Love It because it’s astrid & wulf and it’s in c-kiddo’s style :)
OOOOH! I love this style and I think it's perfect for Caduceus! I'm currently working my way through CR Campaign 2 and haven't met these two characters yet, but this art makes me stoked to finally have them make an appearance! Thank you very much for the rec!
Participate in Fandom Friday to show your favorite creators from this week some love! :)

Israel has cut water, electricity and food to Palestinians in Gaza. They are buying 10.000 M16 rifles and plan to distribute to civilian settlers in the West Bank to hunt down Palestinians. They're bombing the only way out of Gaza through Egypt, after telling refugees to flee through it, and have threatened the Egyptian government in case they let aid trucks pass through. Entire families, generations, are being wiped out and left to wander the streets hoping they don't get bombed.
Palestinians are using their last minutes of battery to let the world know about their genocide and are being met with a wall of "What about Hamas? What about the beheaded babies? Killing children on either side is bad!" even though the propaganda claims have been debunked over and over again. How cruel is it to ask somebody to condemn themselves before their last words? Or before grieving the loss of their entire families? When there's no such disclaimer to Israelis even though their government has shown over and over genocidal intent? Like who are you even trying to appease? What will your wishy washy statement do against decades of zionist thought infiltrating evangelical and Jewish stablishmemts?
Take action. Israel will fall back if public opinion turns its tide. The UK fell back on its bloody decision to cut aid to Palestine under public scrutiny. The USAmerican empire spends $3.8 billion dollars annually solely on this proxy war while its people suffer under a progressively military regime as well. News outlets are canceling last minute on Palestinian speakers while letting Israelis tell lies unchecked. Palestinian refugees are being targeted in ICE establishments and mosques are already being hounded by the FBI. France and Germany have banned pro-Palestine protests, while Netherlands and the UK have placed restrictions . You have the chance to stop this from turning into repeat of the Iraq war.
I want to do something but there's hardly anything for me to do from Brasil besides spreading the word and not letting these testimonies fall on deaf ears. I'm asking you to do this same ant work from wherever you are.

Good Friday is always difficult for me because it’s the day my best friend, who was betrayed, unfairly imprisoned, tortured and murdered, died for me….for us.
May we reflect on the suffering and inhumane treatment of our Lord Jesus Christ who was a living sacrifice in exchange for our sins 🩸
PS. An Angel came to wake me up this morning. It was miraculous!!!!
UPDATE:
The LORD wanted me to say Pilate is an example of following the crowd, of LEADERS following the crowd watching as an innocent man was sent to his death. This is what we are seeing today with our Jewish friends, and others elsewhere who are being unfairly targeted and punished.
Martin Luther KING so famously quoted the following: “There comes a time when silence is betrayal”.
I believe this message confirms what the LORD has been saying about innocent people being condemned, false statements and the guilty walking away ‘SCOT-free’.
The meaning of scot-free
The Francis Scott Key bridge
The Snake 🐍 that got away (the betrayer, the deceiver)
The injustice we are seeing against Israel 🇮🇱
We should always DEFEND the innocent. A good leader does that EVEN IF it costs him/her everything.
Martin Luther, Abe Lincoln and JFK were those who risked their own careers and lives to save others from SLAVERY and RACIAL DISCRIMINATION and their names are immortalized FOREVER.
This is why until this very day, they are remembered as Great Men.
Their success came at the expense of a major sacrifice… their LIVES. Sounds like Jesus. Yet we celebrate them because they were brave enough to stand up against the crowd for what was morally right.
Silence in the face of injustice is a sin to God. Although Pilate thought he was washing his hands clean of Jesus’ death, and by the standards of man he thought he got away ‘scot-free’, he did not. This was the beginning of the fall of one of the greatest empires on Earth…
ROME.
Right after Jesus’ death, the EARTHQUAKE was a sign to the people that what the Pharisees and the Romans had done was wrong, but also that the powers that be would FALL.
Whoever has ears let them hear what THE SPIRIT says to the churches 👂🏾
bluebell : does your muse learn from their past , or are they prone to repeating the same mistakes ?
Botanical Headcannons
Oh look, his favorite flower.
Legato is... mixed on this regard. He is capable of looking back and seeing past mistakes, picking out where things went wrong and finding problems to work on. But he's also bullheaded and fanatic, prone to being convinced that the way he's picked is the right one and the only right one. He has a bad habit of doubling down rather then actually fixing a problem, convinced that if he just hammers at the problem harder, it will be fixed.
He wants to be better but he doesn't really know how and often keeps trying the same things hoping it will work this time.
Usually it takes someone else he respects and cares about pointing out that he's just repeating his mistakes to catch it and shift gears to try something new. If he has a little help, he's far more capable of shifting his focus and actually learning from his past.
I recently learned that my ex-husband passed away. The news struck me like a stone. My feelings were a strange mix, my sadness multi-layered, and all of it took me down a road I had not traveled for a very long time.
My ex-husband, Brent, found me at a time in my life when my heart had been completely broken and my self-confidence shattered. I was deeply depressed, taking too many risks, and…
