Akashi, Haizaki, Imayoshi, Hanamiya, overhearing their FWB that they fell for talking to other friends about how impossible it is that the guys would like them, they're only together because it's interesting and convenient, and it will eventually end when they find new entertainment
I hope you meant the guys are in love with their FWB, because that's how I wrote it lol Admin Neon

It wasn't like him to be hiding, breath held so as not to make a sound while his ears strained to hear. But the voice coming from his bathroom was unmistakingly yours and he was painfully curious.
"Look, I can't really have this talk right now."
You were on the phone — he'd seen you pick up a call while you scurried away with apologies on your lips — and from what it sounded like, you were in a heated discussion with a friend.
"Yeah, I'm at his house now. What do you mean, 'what for'? Why else would I be here?"
Oh, that's interesting. You were talking about him and the little arrangement the two of you had. It made a smile curl on his lips, knowing that you talked about him when he was supposedly away. Like he was always on your mind. Like you were always on his.
"He doesn't want a serious relationship," he heard you say. After a pause, you added, "No, I haven't asked, but I'm sure of it. We're just screwing until he finds whatever else he wants." There was another pause before you sighed. "No, I'm not fine with it, but I'm not going to do anything about it either."
That had his smile dropping as a single thought ran through his mind: if you weren't going to do anything about it, maybe he should.
Imayoshi: Always three steps ahead, Imayoshi decides not to divulge in the fact he knew about your conversation until later in the night. You're sitting on the side of the bed, pulling your shirt over your head — already so prompt in leaving his home, just the way he had initially liked. But knowing what he did now and seeing you reach for your jeans on the floor, he can't help but change his mind for once.
"Why don't you stay for a bit," he says as he stops you from shimmying into your pants. At your confused response, Imayoshi lets out a breathy laugh. "Humor me for once, ____. I want you to stay."
It wasn't the grand confession he knew you deserved, but baby steps were good for now.
Akashi: Later that night, as the two of you are in the throws of passion and lust, you can't help but notice they way Akashi's demeanor seemed to change, like he was treating you more gently. Like he was treating you like a lover. He's mouthing at your pulse point, making you shiver in pleasure, when you voice your observations to him with a question.
"I'm just showing you how much I want you," he responds, licking a slow stripe down your neck. His teeth graze a sensitive spot and you can feel him smiling as you sigh in pleasant response. "Not just in body, you know."
You freeze, pleased when he adds, "In mind and soul as well."
Hanamiya: He doesn't even knock before shouldering his way into the bathroom, smirking as you scramble to end the call and put your phone away like he could hear your friend on the other line. Before you can even scold him for walking in on you, Hanamiya is crowding you against the bathroom sink counter, caging you between his arms as he leaned low to close in on your face.
"Just screwing around until I find something better, huh?" he asks, face so close his breath is hitting hot against your ear. He smirks when he hears your breath hitch at your parroted words. "You think I'm too stupid to know what I want already? Maybe I'll have to show you tonight how wrong you are."
Haizaki: When you open the door to the bathroom, Haizaki is standing there with a smug grin on his face. He glowers down at you, looking damn near predatory as he smirks at your wide-eyed expression. Placing his hands on the threshold of the door, he blocks you from exiting the small space. You have half a mind to take a step back into the bathroom, but perhaps that was his plan.
"You think you have what it takes to be with me full time?" he asks, cutting straight to the chase. He nearly laughs when your eyes widen, knowing you were caught. "Maybe we should get some dinner first instead of skipping straight to fucking for once."
He does laugh when you choke on a surprised gasp.

hey! do you have any random imayoshi headcanons or drabbles that you want to share but had no technical reason to post?
OHGOD DO I EVER;;;
I have a lot of random headcanons for this man, since... You know, as everyone now knows, Imayoshi infested my mind.
I'm sorry for the late reply! I've been busy binging Haikyuu, hehehehehe...
Warning; Some swearing, These are my personal headcanons! You're allowed to disagree/Have your own opinions.
Also not proofread and written at 3AM
Enjoy 😃
---
Morning routine headcanons:
Imayoshi goes to bed at UNGODLY hours but he's still somehow a morning person.
Wakes up at 8-9 AM every day even if he doesn't have to-
Can get 2 hours of sleep and somehow function like a no- ... This man is not normal. Forget I said anything.
He loves being alone in the mornings, so if you're his s/o and likes to sleep in, he's in silent paradise 🤌
If you're his s/o and happens to be a morning person; he will somewhat ignore you??? Like; Please don't talk to me unless it's important vibes??
Gives really rude wakeup calls at noon though, so watch out for those 😃
Food Headcanons
He likes his coffee BLACK, LIKE HIS SOUL
Hot or cold, doesn't give a shit honestly-
Hates sweets, like actually hates sweets.
Dislikes chocolate, unless it's dark. (Probably wont eat it anyways)
Prefers salty snacks/not overly sweet desserts.
A decent chef, not the best but won't burn down the kitchen- (Unlike me 🥲)
His specialty is fish 🐟
Likes to eat and cook the fish he caught (since he likes fishing). Makes him feel accomplished (Especially if other people compliment his fish lmao).
Family headcanons
He kinda hates kids, but he's also like "cool those exist".
Only liked his sister growing up, tbh-
Doesn't want kids of his own though
Has or will get a vasectomy when the "family expectations" arise
Aspires to be a really shady uncle however (if his sister or his s/o has siblings)
Bribes them with candy to do his bidding (like the evil mastermind that he is)
Would brag about being the favorite uncle, and everyone is like "HOW THE FUCK-", because in what galaxy would Imayoshi be anyones favorite family member- 😃 ... (except my galaxy, where he is MY favorite family member but shhhhhh)
Relationship Headcanons
He's not really a romantic???
Or he is romantic but not "a romantic" (DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE IDK)
Doesn't mean he doesn't like doing romantic things, he just doesn't do it A LOT
Will bring you flowers on anniversaries (if you like those), out of common curtsey
He's not much for dates- He prefers to cuddle on the bed/couch and watch movies
Would genuinely spend a lot of time with you, which is why his quiet mornings are so important to him.
Dates you as if you've been married for 10 years lmao- Very comfortable, low-key, just enjoying each others company ❤
Childhood headcanon
Tried to kidnap Santa once.
When he found out about Santa, his first thought was to exploit him for money-
He waited all night by the fireplace but Santa didn't show up
That's how he found out Santa wasn't real
Decided to break the news to his sister once she was old enough to understand what a Santa was.
She's still mad at him for that lmao

Aomine x Reader
Title: Confessions Fluff No Warning
Aomine couldn’t help but feel a tightness in his chest every time he saw you with him. He had liked you since the day you came to Too Academy, but it had seemed that you were closer to Kagami Taiga, since you guys went to the same elementary and middle school in America. He could have sworn the two of you were dating, by the way your arms snaked around Kagami. The way your smile blinded him when you saw the Seirin’s Ace. He knew he had to keep it to himself because he didn’t want to hurt you.
Right now, you were laying on Kagami’s lap and Aomine looked away from you. He was currently leaning against the wall, trying to focus on his phone. Momoi could easily tell how her friend was feeling, and she felt kinda down for him. So she wanted to try and help him.
“Hey (Y/N), we should go shopping,” Momoi said. You blinked and thought about it for a moment before a wide smile graced your features.
“Sure, Taiga never wants to go shopping with me,”
“Neither does Dai~chan…he always leaves me hanging,”
“Not true!” Aomine and Kagami said in unison. You and Momoi rolled your eyes and ended up leaving the two, to go shopping. Once you both were out of sight she turned to you.
“So you and Kagami huh?”
“What do you mean?”
“You two are totally dating, I can see it.”
“Uh, no.”
“You can tell me the truth, you are always around him.”
“Momoi, I love you girl, but mine and Taiga’s relationship is just like yours and Aomine’s, he like a brother,”
“Wait really?”
“Yeah, nothing more. Plus his only true love is basketball.”
“I could have sworn you two were dating, he kisses your forehead, hugs you, holds your hand.”
“Yeah, as a sister type deal. Plus I am clumsy, and will walk into on going traffic if someone isn’t holding my hand.”
“Really?”
“Yeah,” Momoi looked at you with concern just as Kagami grabbed the back of your shirt.
“Seriously!? You almost got hit by a car!”
“Oh shit~” You said and Kagami groaned.
“Momoi, you need to keep an eye on her 24/7 or else she is gonna die one day.” Kagami said and Momoi grabbed your hand.
“Everything makes sense now.” She said face palming, with this new found information she grinned at you.
“What?”
“Nothing, just realized I had something to do. Talk to you later!” She ran off leaving you and Kagami together.
“What the hell was that about?”
“Your guess is as good as mine. She did think we were dating though.” Kagami made a face and you slapped him.
“Don’t make that face,”
“Dating you would be like incest, cause we might as well be siblings closer siblings then me and Tatsuya…”
“I know, that’s what I basically told her. Then she began to list the things like kissing on the forehead, holding hands, and hugs,”
“I hold your hand because you are a literal hazard to yourself,”
“I told her that, and I think she realizes that now.”
“Still doesn’t explain why she ditched you after asking to go shop~ oh no…”
“What?” You glanced up at him and he had a mix of emotions on his face.
“He wouldn’t, no he couldn’t. No way, but it makes sense.”
“What? Tell me,”
“I could be wrong, but maybe Momoi was wanting to hang out with you to get more information about mine and your friendship because Aomine likes you.”
“Wait no way. He doesn’t even talk to me in school, so that’s negative. You are way wrong. He hardly knows anything about me,” you said.
“Are you sure?”
“Pretty positive, Imayoshi~senpai shows more interest in me than Aomine,”
“That’s weird, I said I could be wrong though,”
“What’s weird? Imayoshi senpai is one hot senpai.”
“Disgusting, and I rather hear Aomine than Imayoshi.”
“Really? Isn’t he like your rival?”
“Yeah, but like I know he won’t hurt you. Imayoshi gives me the creeps a bit.”
“At least I didn’t say Hana~owe owe owe owe owe owe…” Kagami had put you in a head lock and began to give you a knuckle sandwich. That name was forbidden in your guy’s friendship.
“(L/N) can we talk?” You and Kagami turned to Aomine, he began to feel that same feeling but since he had a pretty good idea of yours and Kagami’s relationship he tried not to get too jealous.
“Uh?” You and Kagami turned to each other and Kagami was smirking.
“Sure…” Kagami let you go, but he turned to Aomine.
“Make sure she doesn’t walk into ongoing traffic, she will literally get hurt.”
“Alright…” Kagami left leaving you with Aomine. It was quiet for a long while, and you had to admit this was quite unusual.
“So, what did you want to talk to me about?”
“You and Kagami really aren’t dating?”
“No, in his words. That would be like incest, because we are literally like brother and sister,” you stated and he nodded his head. You watched his reaction and he was looking elsewhere before finally meeting your eyes.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
“Wait what?”
“I like you a lot,” he had a small blush covering his tanned cheeks. You couldn’t help but blush as well surprised.
“I- how? You never talk to me, or showed interest.”
“I didn’t because I didn’t want Kagami to think I was trying to steal his girlfriend. So I kept my distance, but hearing that you guys just have a sibling relationship makes me want to act on my feelings now. Before it’s too late.”
“Oh, that’s sweet of you. I just, not sure if I return the feelings,” you rubbed your neck with a small blush.
“Oh, I see. I am sorry…”
“But, that’s only because I enjoy going through the motions of catching feelings. Getting to know each other, hanging out, being friends first. Having dates before I actually date someone.”
“I can do that, I don’t mind waiting,” he said and you smiled before connecting your arm with his.
“Then lets go,” you said with a wide smile. He smiled back slightly before walking.
“What do you want to do then?”
“Food.”
“Alright, lead the way, it’s my treat then.”
“Awesome!”

Your last ask was seriously funny! We need more of that. If possible, can I request different scenrios where the s/o of the gom gets asked questions by the s/o of their boyfriend's teammate(s) about their night (because reader has a looot of love marks).... this is so freaking specific, im sorry😂😂 if you cant do it it fine, if you do, then i appreciate you and your writings (i love your blog and im also a simp for Aomine)
Aren’t we all a simp for Aomine 😭💕 I really couldn’t think of anything for Midorima and Murasakibara without it being too repetitive and boring so I unfortunately left them out of this one, so I’m sorry and I hope you don’t mind too much!! xx
Scenario: Kuroko, Kise, Aomine and Akashi’s s/o being questioned about their love marks
Kuroko
It was a rather chilly Wednesday afternoon and you were watching Seirin’s practice as you usually would. While you initially came there to watch your boyfriend play, you actually also ended up becoming quite close with Kagami, Izuki and Mitobe’s significant others who also came to watch quite often.
As you watched over the practice while chatting away with your friends, you began to feel rather warm due to the gym’s heating, so you took off the scarf that you’d wrapped around your neck. Not thinking too much of it, you continued with your conversation, only to notice that your friends had their eyes fixated on your neck. “Why are you guys looking at me like that?” you questioned, trying to decipher the strange smirks and nods they shared with each other.
“Y/N, your neck...” Mitobe’s s/o trailed off, getting caught up in giggles before they could finish.
“What? Is there something on my neck?” you asked, beginning to panic as your hand immediately reached for it in the fear that there was a bug on it.
“I’m guessing you and Kuroko had some fun last night,” Kagami’s s/o giggled, causing you to freeze as you came to a realisation of what they were referring to.
You quickly wrapped the scarf around your neck again to conceal the red marks your boyfriend had left the night before. Filled with embarrassment, your averted your gaze and fixated on the boys’ practice to avoid making eye contact with your friends. Of course, they didn’t let you off the hook that easily.
“I didn’t think Kuroko was the type to leave marks, but damn he really went to town on your neck, huh Y/N?” Kagami’s s/o teased, making your face turn red with embarrassment.
“Shut up,” you grumbled, letting out a nervous chuckle.
“So, was yesterday a special night? Or does he always leave marks like those?” Mitobe’s s/o interrogated.
“It’s always the quiet ones...”
“Oh my God, stop,” you said, unable to hold back the giggles from the ridiculousness of their comments. “It was just a normal night okay?”
The two of them shared a look before hooting a long “oooooh,” making you wish you didn’t say anything at all.
“So it’s a normal thing then?” Kagami’s s/o continued, the grins on their faces growing wider and wider.
“I’m gonna pretend like I can’t hear you,” you said finally, looking everywhere but at them. You didn’t lie when you said that though. They kept teasing you, but you just sat there as though they weren’t talking to you.
Eventually, they got tired of it, but they didn’t hesitate to shoot you knowing glares when practice ended and you hurried over to Kuroko to escape them.
“Is everything okay?” Kuroko asked you, when he noticed how much of a hurry you were in to leave.
“Yeah, they just saw the marks from last night,” you informed him, making him blush at the memory of the previous night’s events. “So can we just leave before they come here and embarrass me even more?”
Not wanting to draw any attention to himself, Kuroko agreed with you after letting out a small chuckle. “Sorry about that, Y/N,” he said sincerely, not knowing how he’d respond to remarks if he were in your position.
You gave his hand a tight squeeze and flashed him a reassuring smile. “It’s alright, I’ll let it slide because last night was really fun,” you beamed, causing his face to flush red before the two of you left the gym after exchanging brisk goodbyes with the team.
Kise
It was just another practice day at Kaijo where you were casually chatting with your friends. They weren’t normally people you would hang out with, but you’d gotten quite close during these practices since they were the significant others of your boyfriend, Kise’s teammates. Whilst you considered them friends, they weren’t exactly close enough where you’d feel comfortable sharing personal details about your relationship, so you would often stick to light hearted stuff— which you quite enjoyed because they always gave you a good laugh.
“Y/N, is this the first time you’re wearing a scarf?” Moriyama’s s/o asked you, eyeing the bright blue scarf that Kise lent you this morning.
“Yeah, it is,” you nodded.
“I can tell. It’s really not your usual style— it’s not even wrapped properly,” they continued, giving you a pitiful chuckle as Kasamatsu’s s/o bobbed their head in agreement.
“Yeah, I know. I was trying something new, but I’m not sure I like it,” you sighed, fiddling with the end of it. To be honest, you didn’t even want to wear it. It was only there to cover up the bright red marks Kise left all over your neck the night before. You wanted to cover it up with makeup, but you remembered that morning that you needed to buy a new bottle of foundation because Kise accidentally knocked your old one over while playing around with you and broke it.
“Here let me wrap it properly for you,” Kasamatsu’s s/o offered, shuffling closer to you and taking your scarf off before you had time to protest.
And just like that, you were left bare-necked, with both of their eyes glued onto you in shock as your face flushed red. You immediately snatched the scarf back and wrapped it back out of embarrassment.
“Oh my God Y/N! Your neck was covered in hickeys!” Moriyama’s s/o squealed, making you want to dash out of there.
“So you and Kise got it on last night huh? Go on, give us the details!” Kasamatsu’s s/o urged excitedly as they nudged your shoulder with their elbow.
“Details? It was nothing,” you said nervously, desperately searching your head for a way to change the topic.
“Nothing? Y/N, those marks were plastered all across your neck! He barely left any spots untouched,” Moriyama’s s/o laughed.
“Well, what do you want me to say? We were just messing around,” you shrugged. “Can we please move on—“
“Hey guys,” Kise chimed in, cutting you off with a kiss on your cheek. You looked around in confusion and realised that he was on his water break and began to prepare yourself for what’s to come. “What’re you talking about?”
“Well, Y/N was just showing us those marks on their neck—“
“I wasn’t showing them to you! You saw them against my will,” you corrected as you buried your face in your hands.
“Shhh, seems like you two had fun last night,” Kasamatsu’s s/o giggled.
“Oh those! I kind of got carried away, didn’t I? Sorry, Y/N-cchi,” Kise said sweetly as he wrapped his arms around you apologetically.
“We were trying to get Y/N to spill some details but they’re too embarrassed,” Kasamatsu’s s/o said as you continued to pray that this hell of a conversation would end. You hated how charismatic Kise was sometimes, because it often ended with him slipping into conversations like this so easily and just fuelling the fire.
“Embarrassed? Y/N-cchi, you don’t need to be embarrassed. I left those marks there for a reason— you should be proud of them!” Kise sang as your friends nodded along, a smug look on both of their faces.
“Ryouta please stop,” you whined as he only hugged you tighter.
“But those marks look nice on—“
“Captain! Hasn’t this water break gone on long enough?” You called out to Kasamatsu all of a sudden.
“Oi Kise, get your ass back on the court!” Kasamatsu yelled back in reply, causing Kise to sigh.
“Why’d you do that?” Kise pouted.
“Because I like watching you practice,” you said innocently. “You’re playing a game now aren’t you? Why don’t you go score a cool dunk for me?”
Just like that, Kise immediately lit up. “I’ll score the best dunk you’ve ever seen!” He said cheerily before turning back to your friends. “Take it easy on Y/N-cchi, it’s my fault after all.”
“Yeah yeah, we’re just joking around for the fun of it. It’s not funny if it goes on for too long anyways,” Moriyama’s s/o replied reassuringly.
“Great. Thanks,” Kise grinned. Just as you thought he was going to leave, he suddenly leaned in close to your ear and whispered, “You know, those marks on your neck really do look pretty— I might just make some more later.”
And like it was nothing, Kise strutted off confidently, leaving you with a face that couldn’t be more flustered even if you tried.
Aomine
It wasn’t unusual for you to have marks all over your neck since everyone had already gotten used to it. The first few times the team and their significant others noticed them, there were a lot of questions and reactions, though they were mainly directed at Aomine so you didn’t mind all too much. Of course, you’d still try to hide them as much as you could, but makeup is expensive and to be spending so much on concealing marks that would just appear again within a week or so seemed quite redundant to you. You also tried to tell Aomine to limit the marks to places that clothes could cover, and while he’d agree beforehand, he’d often end up getting carried away and doing what he wants.
It was the day of an important preliminary match for Touou and you met up with the significant others of Wakamatsu and Imayoshi at the stands of the arena after wishing your boyfriend good luck. Upon greeting them, their eyes were immediately directed to your neck— which you expected. You tried covering the marks up with makeup but they were still quite visible. Furthermore, it was the summer so a scarf or turtleneck was not an option— you weren’t going to suffer for something this trivial.
“Y/N, did you even try to cover that up?” Wakamatsu’s s/o asked with a sigh.
“I did! I think I need to get some better foundation, honestly,” you groaned as you took a seat next to them.
“My God, that Aomine really doesn’t quit huh? Even before a big game?” Imayoshi’s s/o asked.
“Somehow he’s even more riled up before games. I really don’t know how he has the energy,” you sighed.
“Don’t act like you don’t like it,” Imayoshi’s s/o said with a smirk.
“Well, of course I like it. Just let me complain, will you?” you joked.
“Haven’t you tried telling him to take it easy with the marks?” Wakamatsu’s s/o questioned.
“I have— many times. But he never listens.”
“Yeah, I don’t think he’d ever really listen to things like that,” Imayoshi’s s/o said.
“That’s just Daiki for you,” you shrugged.
“Well, was last night fun?” Wakamatsu’s s/o asked suggestively, nudging your arm.
“Yeah it was,” you said, beginning to feel slightly flustered as your mind wandered back to moments from the night before.
“Oooh, go on, give us the details,” Imayoshi’s s/o said excitedly.
“No way. That’s only for me to know,” you said firmly. “Besides, I’m way too tired to be going into details anyway,” you added as you let out an exhausted yawn.
“My God, how long were you up till?” Wakamatsu’s s/o asked.
“I don’t even remember— I think it was 2 a.m.?” you guessed, cursing Aomine and his stamina for keeping you up so late.
“Don’t you think he’d be too tired to play today then?” Wakamatsu’s s/o asked.
“He’s an idiot, but he wouldn’t be up so late unless he knew he could handle it,” you replied.
The topic quickly died out once the game began, and all of you were so consumed with it that all of you’d completely forgotten about the marks. And of course, Touou won with a massive lead— with Aomine scoring almost half of the points. He truly was incredible, you thought.
Akashi
You were often very good at hiding marks left behind by Akashi, but there was this one morning where you were in such a rush that you had no time to cover them up. So as you headed to the gym to watch Akashi’s practice like you usually would, he seemed to notice the red spots on your neck. As a smile spread across his face, he took his jacket off and handed it to you.
“Sorry for rushing you so much; I don’t like being late. Here, wear this so you can cover those up for the most part,” he said, eyeing your neck with a look that had no traces of regret whatsoever.
You took his jacket and zipped it all the way up so that it would cover your neck. “Shouldn’t you be apologising for leaving the marks instead?”
“I wouldn’t have left them if I thought I’d have to apologise for it. They look quite pretty on your neck if I’m being honest—I’m just saving you from being interrogated,” he explained coolly as you neared the gym.
“Well, I have a feeling that it’s gonna happen whether I like it or not.”
And just as you expected, when you got to the gym and met up with Mayuzumi, Hayama and Nebuya’s s/os, you were greeted with a few strange looks. “What’s up with the jacket, Y/N?” Mayuzumi’s s/o questioned.
“Oh, Sei gave it to me because I was feeling chilly,” you lied with a shrug.
“You don’t usually zip it up all the way though. It looks weird,” Hayama’s s/o pointed out. You didn’t realise that they were this observant until then.
“Y/N’s probably hiding something under there then,” Nebuya’s s/o said jokingly, almost as if they knew exactly what was going on but tried to pass it off as something humorous.
“What could I possibly be hiding?” you played along, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
“I don’t know, you tell me,” Nebuya’s s/o said suggestively, still clearly joking.
“Could it possibly be hickeys?” Mayuzumi’s s/o guessed, causing the group to break out into a chorus of hoots as you genuinely questioned whether they had psychic abilities.
“What? Why would you say that?” you laughed, still determined not to give it away.
“I want to say that I did some incredible detective work, but there are still marks poking out ever so slightly from your neck that gave it away,” Mayuzumi’s s/o explained, drawing all the attention towards your neck as the other two tried to spot it.
You let out a sigh, “Alright, you got me. I didn’t have time to cover them up this morning.”
“Let us see them!” Hayama’s s/o said a little too excitedly.
“Why do you need to see them?”
“It’s the prize for our investigative abilities,” Nebuya’s s/o said.
Rolling your eyes, you reluctantly unzipped the jacket, revealing the bright red and purple marks spread across your neck and earning a gasp from all three of them.
“Akashi really doesn’t hold back, does he?” Hayama’s s/o giggled.
“Sounds about right— it’s Akashi Seijuro we’re talking about after all,” Mayuzumi’s s/o commented.
“So, did you have fun last night, Y/N?” Nebuya’s s/o grinned.
“Well, yeah,” you mumbled, beginning to feel a little embarrassed as you zipped the jacket back up.
“There are a lot of marks though. Is he really that rough?” Mayuzumi’s s/o asked, a slight hint of concern in their voice.
“Kind of? I don’t know. It feels weird talking about it. But he has his moments,” you answered, not knowing how much you should be sharing with them.
“He just seems so cool and collected that I can’t believe he did that much damage, you know?” Nebuya’s s/o explained.
“Yeah I get what you mean,” Hayama’s s/o nodded along as all of their heads turned to take a look at Akashi, who was instructing his team about something.
“Can we please move on from this topic, it’s weird,” you said quickly, not liking that they were all probably thinking about Akashi in a whole different way now.
They were somehow quite understanding of your request and the conversation quickly moved on to a different subject matter so that whatever happened between you and Akashi remained between the two of you— and you hoped that it would stay that way.

kiridai, haizaki + akashi seijuro II
part one here
For a moment, Akashi wonders whether he’s hallucinating.
Of course, he’s in perfect condition - both physical and mental - and this mirage can’t be one inspired by desire either. If that were the case, if it were some bizarre manifestation of his missing Teikō, he’d be imagining Kuroko or Midorima instead. Maybe even Aomine, though that’s a stretch.
He certainly wouldn’t have conjured up the Haizaki Shougo by choice.
“Oi, Akashi, long time no see!”
His fellow first year is leaning against the lockers, just a few strides ahead of Akashi, adorning a black hoodie over the issued white Kirisaki Daiichi shirt, first few holes unbuttoned and tie undone.
“Haizaki.”
Why Haizaki’s attending a school for the very rich, for those with power and success foretold in their futures, when he’s neither of those categories, Akashi doesn’t know. It’s hard to come up with a good guess either. All Akashi can think of right now is that, of all people he’s ever met in his life, Haizaki’s the last he would have ever liked to meet again (let alone go to the same school with, for the second time in a row), and that he’ll be late to his next class, if he dignifies Haizaki with a response longer than one word.
Unfortunately, it seems Haizaki has other plans.
“A little bird told me,” grins Haizaki, stepping in front of Akashi, and side-stepping when Akashi does. His face is inches away from the redhead’s face, as his tongue darts out over his thumb, “that you’ve not been able to join the basketball team here. Guess they were looking for a skilled team player, and you couldn’t fill the requirements, huh?”
“Enough, Shougo. I don’t have the time to entertain you.”
Akashi pushes against Haizaki’s shoulder, trying to get past. Haizaki pushes back.
“To think you kicked me out of the team - and now look at you.”
“Good. Bye. Shougo.”
“Three years here, and you’re not going to play basketball for any of them. Better start coming up with excuses to not play with your miracle buddies. They’re all going to have way surpassed you as players by the time we graduate.”
Akashi’s faintly aware of his shoulders shivering, as he glowers at Haizaki.
“Watch your tone,” he snarls.
For a second, Haizaki looks a little unnerved, as if he’s instinctually reverted back to the days Akashi was his captain. But the emotion soon passes. All that follows is a smug grin that haunts Akashi for the rest of the day.
It’s the disrespect; that’s what Akashi can’t handle.
The mere concept that some arrogant fool like Haizaki, who’s never worked for anything in his life, could have been handed a place on the first string on a plate, just because someone somewhere (Hanamiya) has such fun meddling with people’s lives.
*****
If Akashi had ever liked Haizaki at all, had ever held a single non-negative emotion towards the guy, he soon loses it. The boy's like a kanji whose definition you search up once, and now you’re seeing it everywhere you go. For weeks, Akashi hadn’t known Haizaki was a member of the same school. Yet now they've been bumping into each other every day. And, every time, Haizaki’s got trainers on, or a basketball in his hands - if he had had half as much an enthusiasm for the sport during middle school, then maybe he would have been able to continue as a member on the team - and he meets Akashi’s gaze to smirk, as the ball spins on his finger.
The time he once spent playing basketball, Akashi now spends riding, working on additional homework, studying Shogi tactics, and searching up Hanamiya’s name. The second year’s eyes tease him from within his computer screen, as he carefully reads through all the information on the Uncrowned Kings - searching for anything that he could possibly use against Hanamiya, since he’s already understood that this is an opponent he can’t face without preparation. But all he learns is that Hanamiya played ball with Imayoshi in middle school, that their team was expectedly successful, and that he won some university level prize for chemistry last year.
That, and (from a blog on the third page of Google results, by some kid who faced the Kirisaki Daichi basketball team last year): “I used to like superhero movies. I liked how predictable they were - that you could always bet on the hero being stronger than the villain. But now I’ve faced that fucker Hanamiya, I don’t know about that anymore. He’s the shittiest piece of shit I’ve ever met, and, not only does he get away with it, but also he completely defeated against my senpais, who’d spent years training for that moment. It’s like he’s sent from hell.”
It’s with this blog in mind, that Akashi, with his newly acquired position as student council head, decides to forgo fighting with Hanamiya face-to-face, to make the matter political instead. That’s one angle he knows he can succeed at; it's what his father trained him for.
He's superior to Hanamiya - by far. He's a born talent, and he'll know nothing but success in his life, once he's sorted out the second year. Hanamiya's nothing but a cheap bully in comparison.
*****
“Finally,” Akashi announces, towards the end of the student council meeting, sat with his back straight, “I’m concerned about the basketball team.”
There’s a collective sigh to varying degrees, by the other members of the committee. One girl slips the boy beside her a 10,000 yen banknote, as he rolls his eyes.
“Look, Akashi, you’ve not been here long,” begins the 3rd year Vice President, adjusting his glasses, “but I’ll save you the trouble of wasting your time with this. If you’ve got a problem with them; well, no, you don’t.”
“I’m not sure I understand,” replies Akashi, who knows damn well what’s going on, but who wants to hear it admitted by these buffoons who have let Hanamiya run free across the school.
The student council has spent so many hours of their week sat in this room of mahogany chairs with plush purple seats, with the large, arch-shaped windows which overlook the campus grounds: mostly the golf course, but with the indoor gyms in the corner, where the Kirisaki Daichi basketball team is no doubt messing around as Akashi speaks (why would they bother practicing if all they do is injure opponents?) And thus student council enjoys many privileges too, which one would only deserve if they were keeping the school in order - but that's something which they lost all hope in managing, the minute Hanamiya stepped onto this campus unchained.
“We don’t get involved with Hanamiya, or anything he does, or any troubles he might have allegedly cause. Ergo, we don’t get involved with any of the rest of them either.”
“The headmaster-“
“The headmaster’s an old friend of the Yamazaki family’s. Even if he wasn’t, he loves Seto and Hanamiya - they’re the type that's guaranteed to get into Tōdai and become very powerful in the future - he's always indulging in them. You know, in the past, we only had a sports scholarship for golf, but this year, Hanamiya claimed he had to have one for basketball, something about a talented player who couldn't afford the school fees. So it was up to us to factor that into the school's budget, because God forbid someone goes against Hanamiya. You can do whatever you want as student council president - we all know you're more than qualified for the position - but just leave Hanamiya be.”
Fighting his inner rage at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation, Akashi exhales slowly. How can favouritism be so blatant? How can a couple kids with better opportunities than others have so much power?
And, worse, everyone’s starting to get up already, undermining his own power as the president. Like they think this meeting’s over.
“Haizaki Shougo has injured teammates in the past.” Akashi adds quickly, “it’s not in the school’s interests to allow him to represent us.”
The girl that had been sat opposite Akashi - the editor-in-chief of the school’s magazine - slips her backpack onto her back, as she asks, “has he injured anyone here?”
“He very well might have.”
“Then take it up with the discipline council.”
Akashi allows a thin smile to form across his lips. Hope. Potential for at least one ally against the Kiridai team.
“Who’s the head of the discipline council?”
“Hanamiya.” When the Vice President looks at Akashi, there’s genuine pity in his eyes. “With all due respect, I think you should give this up.”
******
As Akashi makes his way through the school grounds, to where a chauffeur should be waiting to drive him home, he stops briefly by the flower beds by the entrance to the main building. They’re being tended by a tall man, with dark hair, and darker eyes, but his movements are gentle as he sprinkles root powder onto the soil under the rose bush.
If only, thinks Akashi (watching the stranger, hoping the splendid colours of the flowers might lower his blood pressure enough to not explode at his father this evening), his school life could be so simple. How nice would it be for his only responsibilities to constitute of some gardening here and there, in a world where useless bureaucrats, Hanamiya, and (by default) the basketball team, didn’t exist.
But even this dream is quickly shattered.
“Furuhashi!” yells a pink-head obnoxiously, with a basketball jersey loose around his torso. He's accompanied by the second year who had led Akashi to the gym on that fateful first day, “you seriously ditched us just for your roses? We’ve had to scour the whole campus looking for you - Hanamiya didn’t want us to leave without you, but, man, between you and post-practice udon-”
“You've known me this many years, Hara,” replies Furuhashi, standing up slowly, “and you really didn’t to check whether I was by the flowerbeds first?”
Only now does Furuhashi see Akashi. They stare at each other for a long moment - Akashi with nothing but disappointment in his eyes, and Furuhashi clearly wondering why a stranger looks so disgruntled with his existence - until Hara interrupts.
“Oh hey, Akashi,” he grins, “you wouldn’t be standing there, hoping we’d invite you to join us, would you? Alas, only the first string’s allowed on these outings. But, if you wipe down the court, then I might just put in a good word for you.”
The man beside him chuckles. Furuhashi rolls his eyes, and wipes the remnants of soil of his trousers.
Akashi walks off without looking back once. He walks so fast he’s practically jogging. The more he hears of the pink-head’s voice, the more he thinks of Kise, or of all the Teikō team and of the times they spent together, post-practice, whilst now they’re spread across the country, whilst he’s stuck at a school with Haizaki and Hanamiya, because his father is so convinced his son will become a politician.
“I see you’re not on the basketball team anymore,” says the man that evening. His are the only words said over dinner; Akashi doesn’t trust himself to open his mouth. “Good. You should join the golf club instead; the prime minister’s son’s an alumni of theirs.”
In the night, Akashi dreams that he’s in an exam hall, but he can’t understand any of the questions in the test before him, and he’s not got a pen with him either. Feeling nauseous, he raises a hand, and the teacher lets him leave to the toilet - but with a distrustful glimpse in her eye, like she thinks he’s just a cheat. When he stands up, his belt snaps. Forced to hold his trousers in place himself, he runs all the way to the school bathrooms, but, when he finally finds a stall available, the lock on the front is broken, and Hanamiya’s filming him with a grin.
He wakes at 2am, yet can’t fall back asleep. Instead, he decides to search up the meaning of the dream, before shortly closing his computer again after all that comes up is insinuations of stress, fear, and cowardice. What’s worse is that it’s possible. He might be stressed. He might even be nervous.
At 3am, he finds himself watching a recording of Kirisaki Daichi’s match with Seirin last year. And, maybe it’s just the delirium of only having slept a couple hours, but, when the pixelated Hanamiya snaps his fingers and Seirin’s centre is moved out of the court on a stretcher shortly after, Akashi shivers.
He feels feverish, sick and cold at the same time, and yet he plays the match on repeat till 7am comes around, and it’s time to prepare for school.
*****
Hanamiya grins when he sees Akashi - and his rumpled shirt, and the dark circles under his eyes - during lunch.
“I hear you’re student president now,” he says, as he wraps his arm around the first year’s shoulders, close enough that Akashi can see the redness of the captain's knuckles, remnants from the previous student he dealt with.
Around them, students cast quick looks at the duo as they walk past. They gaze at Hanamiya with curiosity and thinly veiled worry, and at Akashi with nothing more than sympathy. He’s never felt more humiliated.
At last, glaring and making sure his voice retains a cutting edge, Akashi replies, “I am.”
“Well I don’t know if you know, but I actually run the discipline committee,” Hanamiya’s voice is practically singing, as he gives Akashi's arm a squeeze, “so if you ever have a problem with anyone, if anyone’s ever bothering you, just let me know. I’ll soon sort them out for you.”
Akashi clenches his fist, stares down at the ground. Bitter, bitter rage rises within him, but stronger is the sense of defeat. His heart tells him to apologise - for anything at all, just to get this man off his back - though he refuses to allow himself to sink so low. Better, he knows, would be to leave before he says something he’ll regret.
And, as he walks away, he hears Hanamiya’s voice behind him - “I look forward to working with you, Sei!” - and the words ring in his head for the rest of the day, like a threat.
He understands now, if nothing else, what the captain means, when he talks about ‘trash’.

authors notes:
if the above fic is unreadable, it’s because i was up researching akashi at 4am, and then spent 5am onwards writing and editing this. lowkey, i really enjoyed writing this! in particular, putting the work in to write the point of view of a character i’ve written so little for in the past, was a lot of fun, and, more so, trying to fit in little canon details about akashi into this fic too. (he comes off a bit of a patronising twat in the manga/anime, but, man, there’s a whole to be uncovered between the lines). so, hopefully, if any of y’all are akashi fans, you won’t notice too many ooc aspects in this :D
also, i'd like to dedicate these odd 2.2k words to @dust-of-fandoms and @thecrimsonacademic ! your enthusiasm towards this au really motivated me, so i hope you like this addition to the first part :)

Hello. Can I ask for a scenario about Hanamiya, Kagami, Kise, Murasakibara, Imayoshi, Haizaki? A girl they like (but are not in a relationship with) asks them to pose as her boyfriend so that she can get rid of the annoying suitor. Please. Thank you in advance.
Hanamiya: He really thought nothing could make his day even worse than it already was. When he saw you approaching him, he wanted to seem unbothered, hiding the fact that his thoughts started wandering around you and how nice you looked. But then, you opened your mouth and asked him a favor.
"Could you pretend to be my boyfriend for a while? There's that really annoying guy that's constantly trying to hit on me and I want him to give up"
Hanamiya was speechless for a second, not believing his ears. How could he pretend, knowing it's fake? The irony of the situation made him let out a bitter laugh.
"No way. Deal with it yourself"
He then left you, not being able to look you in the eyes. You should've given that guy a chance. He could become your real boyfriend instead.
Kagami: How could he not help you? You were so precious to him. Besides, one thing was already there to help him with the role - as much as he hated to admit it, the other guy's attempts of hitting on you were making him jealous.
Kagami tried to ignore the thought of your relationship being fake. He really wanted it to be real but how could he tell you this? You were only doing it to get rid of that annoying person, who soon gave up seeing Kagami beside you all the time. And so, your "relationship" ended.
You thanked him for the help and kissed his cheek with a smile he couldn't resist. He smiled back.
"I wasn't pretending, Y/N. I really want to be your boyfriend" he wanted to say but was too scared to actually do. Instead, he was left with friendship, something he still cherished a lot. It hurt seeing other people approach you. Maybe in the future he'd become one of them.
Kise: "Would you mind becoming my boyfriend?" his head turned to your direction so fast it almost snapped, his eyes wide and not sure what to say.
"Well, just for a while, don't worry. I want that stupid guy to see I'm taken and stop annoying me"
Kise's head dropped as he thought about your words. You didn't want him to be your boyfriend... You just wanted him to pretend. But how could he pretend when his feelings for you were so real?
"I don't think it's a good idea..." he replied, focusing on the food in front of him.
"Please, Kise-kun. You won't have to deal with me for long, just a few days" you touched his arm and he sighed.
If only you knew how much he'd love to deal with you for much longer. But he couldn't tell you this. At least not yet.
Murasakibara: "Huh?" he really hoped to be the one who misheard what you were saying. He really did. But when you repeated your words, they still sounded the same. Murasakibara focused his gaze on the table in front of him, avoiding your look.
"Are you stupid?" he didn't mean to offend you. But what else could he have said to make the situation better? It was already the worst.
"I don't want to act like your boyfriend. Maybe you should get a real one"
Your eyes expressed surprise at his sudden harsh comment, mixed with sadness and he knew it got to you. There was no other way to tell you this. He'd be the worst pretend-boyfriend in the world, because he'd be too real with it. And you weren't looking for that. You had to find someone else to help you.
Imayoshi: Your words hurt him deep inside, but why would he blame you? You didn't know anything about his feelings for you, simply because he'd been purposely hiding it. If anything, he'd have to blame himself. For you, you were just friends and knew everything about each other. In reality, almost everything. And Imayoshi was a great actor, besides you knew his personality and his reply didn't surprise you.
"Oh, Y/N-chan. Do you really think I'd agree? What would I get from doing you a favor like this, hm?"
He was teasing and you sighed, rolling your eyes at him. It was obvious he wouldn't agree just because. But when you made a deal, he sent you his signature smile and wrapped an arm around your shoulders.
"Congratulations Y/N-chan, you have an amazing boyfriend. You'll want to run away after two days but I warned you, didn't I?"
Haizaki: "Pretend to be my boyfriend for a few days and I'll owe you something, how about it?"
Haizaki snorted at your deal and shook his head, visibly amused. He didn't give you an answer and after a while you got impatient waiting for him to reply.
"Do you think I'd do something idiotic like this? We're doing it for real or not at all, I'm not playing those stupid games. I'm not a child, Y/N"
His words surprised you and this time you had to think a while to answer. Did he suggest it for real or was he just playing? Haizaki's eyes didn't give you any hint and you had to improvise.
"Are you messing with me?"
"Do I look like I am?"
"Kinda"
In the end your annoying suitor soon gave up and never dared to approach you again.

The Bachelor(s)
Summary: (Sequel to My Best Friend's Wedding)
"It's the night before the Big Day. Are you ready? See you at the Bachelor Parties tonight! #bakahusbands"
Or Daiki and Ryouta are getting married but Daiki needs to get through the bachelor parties first.
Characters/Pairings: Aomine Daiki, Kise Ryouta, AoKise. A bunch of cameos.
Notes:  After two years, #bakaboyfriends will finally become #bakahusbands because it took me two years to write up the sequel lolAnyway, here is my actual offering for AoKise Day but I am fashionably late, it seems. There will probably be mistakes and those are mine. But anyway, I won't delay you any more. Hope you enjoy!
Also available over at Ao3!
"Aomine-kun, Akashi-kun has a problem."
Tetsu's eyes were huge in his face like they usually were but for some reason, they gave Daiki an uneasy feeling just then. The feeling didn't ease when Daiki found himself meeting eyes with Akashi who looked too calm and too serious as always..
"Aomine, I apologize." The apology felt sincere and Daiki wished Akashi would blink. "I don't have smaller bills."
Not for the first time in the past few days (weeks, months) Daiki had no idea what was going on. "...What?"
"For the night's… entertainment," Akashi non-explained delicately, quietly, still very seriously and Daiki really wished he knew what he was talking about.
Satsuki only told him to come pool-side where “his” side of the bachelor party was going to be. No one told him he was going to have any part of keeping things organized, never mind having to hold Akashi Seijuuro's hand through commoner pre-wedding festivities.
He probably looked like the actual idiot he was because Akashi's face was actually starting to look a bit pinched. You kind of start to notice his shifting expressions after spending some time with him and he often told you to run laps until you dropped dead.
"I don't have the necessary denomination for tipping the exotic dancers--"
"Wait."
Daiki felt like his head had exploded. He held up his hand to Akashi's face to stop him. He must have really just experienced brain damage because he actually dared to just put his hand up to Akashi's face within stabbing distance.
What the fuck?
Daiki looked urgently at Tetsu. "Exotic--I thought Satsuki said no strippers?"
Tetsu looked at him quietly for a long time.
Big, innocent eyes on his stupid, fucking child-like face.
"Yes, Momoi-san definitely said no strippers," Tetsu confirmed.
Daiki absolutely felt his blood pressure shoot up. "Then why did you--"
"Oh, I understand now." Akashi interrupted Daiki mid-mind explosion #2. Now those eyes were on Tetsu.
Tetsu turned his head and looked right back at Akashi.
No fear, ice cold. He just needed a milkshake and a pair of sunglasses.
Akashi looked back at him like he was about to wage some kind of war. It felt like the Winter Cup Finals back in first year high school all over again. "That was not funny, Kuroko."
In turn, Tetsu smiled a little, the Rakuzan ass-kicking asshole. "I kind of thought it was, Akashi-kun."
And Daiki left them there because he did not need the added stress on his already huge pile of it the day before his wedding. Where the hell was Kagami when he needed him?
Two years ago, Satsuki got married and Daiki had been involved with some tasks and responsibilities for the wedding. He had seen first hand what kind of stress and turmoil one had to go through just for one special day and he had thought himself adequately prepared for it. As usual, he was wrong. It was a whole other ballgame when it was you on the way to be shackled and it was your soon-to-be spouse who was stressed because no, Daiki, we can’t just do it at our favorite outdoor court! Among other things.
And now they were at this beach resort with a bazillion of their family, friends and acquaintances (It’s just about a hundred people, Daiki, don’t be dramatic--) for the ceremony. Tonight was the bachelor parties which took up the bar and restaurant and pool areas. Too many people they knew and vaguely did were milling around socializing, eating, drinking and having a great time before the big day tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Daiki was overwhelmed and kind of tired but that wasn’t anything new nowadays.
"Hey, Aomine!"
Daiki stopped then sighed before just turning towards the voice, not at all surprised to find himself face-to-face with his brother-in-law. Well, sort of brother-in-law.
Hamada Tadashi was a robotics engineer who was involved in developing technologies towards making the world a better place. More importantly, he also happened to be married to Satsuki, thus explaining his presence in the party. What was strange was how he was seated at a table with his old Touou Captain, Imayoshi Shoichi, and one Kuroo Tetsurou. Looking at all three of them together already made Daiki's head hurt a little bit more.
"Are you okay?" Tadashi asked, looking genuinely concerned. Daiki might not have gone out of his way to befriend the guy until he did the right thing and proposed then married the girl Daiki considered his sister but he had always, grudgingly, thought the guy was a decent one. Always friendly and accommodating and wasn't deterred by Aomine's attitude one bit. "You want to sit down with us for a while?"
"You do look kinda overwhelmed," Imayoshi put in and Daiki was pretty sure his old Captain was giving him a surveying look.
Beside him, Kuroo hummed in agreement as he looked around idly. “It’s kind of a madhouse around here right now, huh?”
A madhouse was right and if Daiki thought about it a bit harder, his brain would most likely die. He had no idea how he and Ryouta were able to accumulate these many people as friends and acquaintances through the years. Take for example Kuroo here who was a member of FC Tokyo and was currently sitting in the smart kids’ table. Before Tadashi noticed him, they must have been talking about something brainy, like Tadashi’s latest project that had something to do with robot nurses or whatever they were called. It almost always flew over Daiki’s head whenever Satsuki tried to explain it to him.
“I have no idea where all these idiots came from,” Daiki grumbled as he took a seat beside Kuroo which faced away from the chaos happening in the pool area behind him. Normally, Daiki wasn’t one for socializing but people were here for his wedding and he supposed he could spend some time being welcoming.
“Well, you’re gonna have a wedding in a beautiful beach resort plus food and booze. Most everything’s free,” Imayoshi shrugged easily before taking a sip of his own drink, something amber and expensive-looking. “Are you really that surprised, Aomine?”
Daiki gave his old senpai a bit of a glare. “And all of you didn’t have to come.”
“Come now, Aomine, you can’t be this annoyed about us accepting your and Kise’s invitation, are you?” Kuroo has a hand over his heart, shit-eating smirk on his face, and right then Daiki knew how he and Imayoshi could get along like a house on fire. “I’m hurt. It wasn’t cheap coming out here, you know?”
Was it too late to regret his choice to sit down? It probably was.
“I think Satsuki and Kise did a great job organizing everything, though.” Tadashi came to his rescue with a winning smile, that smile that always came out when he talked about his beloved wife.
“They’re a powerful combination,” Imayoshi noted with a nod and even Kuroo had to smile at that.
It looked like Kuroo had something to add to that but then a loud whoop swelled from the pool area. Daiki looked over to that direction and found Midorima walking away from the ruckus with a bit of a pinched look on his face and the day's lucky item in one hand. It seemed to be a rolled-up sock.
“What’s going on?” Daiki asked, a bit worried that someone might come in and call everything off.
Midorima looked at Daiki like this was all his fault. “An arm-wrestling match.”
“Between who?” Kuroo suddenly asked, looking far too interested for anyone’s good.
“Iwaizumi-san and Matsuoka Rin.” Everyone turned to find that it was no other than Nijimura-senpai who spoke and tagging along was Himuro, of course. It was still kind of strange seeing their old Teiko Captain with Himuro Tatsuya but apparently they were friends. Or something.
Himuro was almost grinning. “We’re on our way to witness an epic gun show, according to Matsukawa-san.”
“Any bets going around?” It was Imayoshi who asked, unsurprisingly, as he rose up from his seat.
“Not that we know of as of yet but we can always ask around, Imayoshi-san,” Himuro replied with playful cheek and it didn’t take long before Imayoshi was walking off with them followed by a very curious Kuroo.
“Are they going to be okay?” Tadashi suddenly asked from the side.
Midorima pushed his glasses up against the bridge of his nose as he did. “I expected better from Iwaizumi-san and Matsuoka-san both but I suppose the occasion inspires a reckless sense of fun.”
It still sounded like Midorima was blaming Daiki but he had known Midorima long enough that he knew just to just ignore it.
"They're grown ass adults," Daiki said with a scoff. "They should know what they're getting into."
Thankfully, Midorima made no further comment and politely excused himself.
The noise level behind them was rising and normally, Aomine would have been in the middle of that. An arm wrestling match between Iwaizumi Hajime, his old College roommate and former volleyball ace, and an actual Olympian? Aomine would have been all over that but not today.
He sighed and he noticed Tadashi just kind of smiling at him sympathetically.
"...What?" he asked with a bit of a frown.
The smile on Tadashi's face barely shifted. "You want to take a breather? I can cover for you."
Daiki actually took a bit of time to think about it. What were the consequences if he stepped away from this circus for a while? How painful would they be? Could he actually trust Tadashi?
"Can I trust you?" he asked and Tadashi got points for not making a fuss about even being asked.
He just smiled that friendly smile and Daiki could really sort of tell why Satsuki fell for him. Tadashi was just a really nice guy.
"I think anyone would want a break every now and then."
And wasn't that true? Daiki was pretty sure Tadashi would even have some science to back all that up.
With a sigh, Daiki got up from his chair and made to go, nodding at Tadashi as he went.
"Stay outta trouble, Hamada. Don't get into any arm wrestling matches or whatever."
Tadashi's laugh sent him off. "See you later!"
Daiki raised a hand and quickly made his escape. Finally.
Walking down the path toward the restaurant and bar area made him realize that it wasn't long before sunset. The path leading to the restaurant cut through a well-maintained garden with a sea view. The sky was slowly turning into a mix of yellows, pinks and purples and even Daiki could definitely appreciate the sight.
Honestly, he could get married anywhere, even just a basketball court (wearing his favorite Jordans, of course), but he had to admit it was a good idea to have their wedding in a beautiful place like this.
"Oh there you are, Aomine-kun."
He had to look away from the view to find Mibuchi Reo coming up to him and he felt an instinctual urge to flee. Mibuchi was one of Ryouta's so-called Groom Squad, a group of Ryouta’s friends from all over who offered their assistance to Ryouta and Satsuki as the wedding approached. Daiki barely ever saw the lot of them the past few weeks without it involving some wedding-related task.
"Hey, Mibuchi-san," Daiki greeted, deciding to try and make this as painless as possible for his own good. "What's up?"
"I'm so glad you're here, Aomine-kun," Mibuchi replied, waving a well-manicured hand toward the direction that Daiki just left from and making an annoyed-looking face. "Imagine if I have to go over there where all the brutes are? No, thank you."
"You were looking for me?" Well, that was a dumb question but Daiki asked anyway.
"Yes, Mr. Husband-to-Be--" Daiki thought Mibuchi was about to reach out and pat or pinch his cheek; he didn't. "--Ryou-chan says to meet him by the Sandbar."
It was probably super sappy to say that his heart thumped when he heard that Ryouta was asking for him. "At the Sandbar?"
Mibuchi waved him off. "Yes. Go on now. He's waiting."
And after what felt like years, Daiki felt like smiling.
"Okay," he said with a nod but before he went, he took a moment to look Mibuchi over. "You look tired, Mibuchi-san."
Mibuchi made a less than elegant, very weary face and Daiki would have laughed if he could but he got it.
"Satsuki-chan runs a tight ship,” he quipped dryly. “But I love her and Ryou-chan so Neesan will persevere. I will tell you this, though, Aomine-kun.”
Mibuchi lifted a finger poignantly. “Yu-chan and I are most definitely eloping."
And that did make Daiki laugh. "I don't know if Kasamatsu-san would agree but hold on just a little bit more. This’ll all be done tomorrow."
"Thank God."
Daiki didn't waste time on making his way to the Sandbar after talking to Mibuchi. Now, the Sandbar wasn't some piece of land that sprouted up from the sea. The people who came to the resort just called it that because there was a lot of sand and there was a bar. It was an area by the beach where a bar and dining area was set up. Low tables were placed down on mats over the white sand where you could sit or even lie down comfortably and enjoy some drinks or a meal while looking out towards the beach. And if you decided to go for a swim, you were just a few steps away to doing just that.
He found Ryouta some ways away from where the early dinner crowd was, looking over to the direction of the sea and away from his phone, finally. The setting sun's golden light reflected on his hair and eyes, making him glow and look even more beautiful if that was even possible. He seemed to sense Daiki's stare as he came closer and he turned his head to smile at him.
"Aominecchi~!" Ryouta called, drawing up the old nickname teasingly that Daiki had to scoff and lean down to give him a kiss for it.
Ryouta smiled when he kissed him back and it made Daiki feel warm. That little detail was something about Ryouta that he would never get over.
Daiki sighed when he drew away. During the kiss, he had gotten a hand down to lightly cup by the side of Ryouta's neck to end up with fingertips caressing his nape. Ryouta was smiling still, looking fond and sweet and also a bit like he was tired. Daiki kissed him again for good measure. When was the last time they were alone and this close?
"Daiki must have missed me," Ryouta observed with a grin a moment later after Daiki settled beside him. Daiki didn't care to occupy his own side of the table, happy enough to just squish up against Ryouta as much as possible that he was almost on his lap. He even leaned his head by Ryouta's shoulder and closed his eyes. When he breathed in, he smelled Ryouta's lavender shampoo layered with the sunblock he must have just reapplied. Ryouta smelled so good and familiar he could fall asleep right then and there.
"Could we leave and go to bed already?" Daiki asked with his eyes closed. He bothered to ask even when he knew the answer would be "no".
A soft giggle and Daiki felt fingers playing with the hair by his nape. A shiver ran through his spine and he almost groaned. Ryouta and his magic fingers...
"But we still have the ending program for the bachelor parties, remember?"
Daiki actually groaned at that. "There's more?" He almost turned his head and nipped Ryouta on the shoulder.
Another giggle, more petting, this time more soothing and indulgent rather than playful. "Just some games and we gotta give a 'thank you' speech for the guests. Poor Daiki. I'm sorry, baby." Finally he got a kiss for his troubles. "You must be tired. Daiki needs to recharge, hm?"
"Do I get a lapdance from you at least?"
Ryouta tugged at his ear kind of hard even if he did laugh at the question. "No, Ahominecchi! Not when my sisters are gonna be watching, come on…"
That tug hurt a little and Daiki frowned but he just grumbled under his breath and took more cuddles for compensation.
If you asked him, this big, flashy celebration was not really Daiki's style. It was something he decided after having to follow Satsuki around for months to make sure she wasn't obsessing over little details too much and that she got enough rest. Wedding planning was stressful as all hell and he would prefer to not have anything to do with it if he had a choice. He could get married anywhere and have it done anytime. All that mattered was that Ryouta would be the one standing with him and that he would say "I do".
But Ryouta wanted the big, flashy wedding because it was his style. In his own way, Ryouta loved the planning, the hassle, the stress. He wanted to make memories and have people to share them with. Plus, Ryouta just loved a good party and why not make his wedding the best one ever?
And since Daiki loved him and knew what it took when it came to getting together with Kise Ryouta, he agreed to the beach resort wedding with the bazillion guests. Also the crazy bachelor parties though his batteries were drained and he would prefer not to see anymore people for the next year or so.
But for now it was okay because he was in a corner away from all that with just Ryouta and he was getting his hair petted while waves coming up the beach sounded in his ears.
"Daiki."
"Hm?"
"You awake?"
He must have dozed off for a bit because when he opened his eyes, the lights around them had been turned on and night had fallen. It was cooler and with a deep sigh, he shuffled even closer against Ryouta. He wrapped his arms around him and was prepared to get settled for a bit longer when a smell distracted him.
A waiter had come up with a bit of a smile, a tray held over one hand. On the tray were two plates of food and he laid them down carefully before them.
One plate had some beautifully grilled chicken and a hefty vegetable salad on the side. On the other plate was a burger, the patty thick and juicy and topped with finely shredded cabbage, paired with wedges of potatoes.
"I ordered us dinner!" Ryouta chirped after sending off the waiter with a smile of his own. "Did you know that they served Teriyaki Burgers here? I thought you might want to give it a try."
His burger definitely didn't look anything like the ones he got at Maji Burger but his stomach rumbled at the sight of it. When was the last time he ate?
"Do we have time for this?" Daiki asked even as he already reached to examine the burger. He wasn't sure about the cabbage but well, he was hungry.
"I asked Momocchi for at least an hour," Ryouta answered as he picked up a knife and fork and immediately pierced one of Daiki's potato wedges. Rude.
Daiki took one of the bite-sized pieces of chicken Ryouta had sliced up as payment.
"An hour?"
Ryouta hummed in answer. "An hour to have dinner and just to hang out." He offered Daiki another piece of chicken with his fork and Daiki obligingly ate it. "I told her I missed you."
Daiki cut up about two bites' worth of his burger and placed it over one side of Ryouta's plate.
"I missed you too…"
Ryouta gave him that pleased, happy smile that always crinkled his eyes, very unlike those polished ones he gave cameras, and Daiki sighed. He reached to wipe off a bit of dressing that was by Ryouta's lip with his thumb.
"Now eat,” he told him. “And you better finish all of that."
Ryouta nodded obediently. "Yes, Daddy."
And then laughed when Daiki scowled and rolled his eyes at him.
Sometimes, Daiki really couldn't believe he was actually marrying this annoying (precious) brat.
The burger was juicy with the right amount of teriyaki sauce and the cabbage added a good crunch. It was pretty good and Daiki enjoyed it as he and Ryouta had their dinner. It was their first time having a meal alone since they arrived at the resort and it was a nice break. They got to catch up a bit with each other and how the whole day had been so far. As usual, their conversation flowed smoothly, hardly a dull or quiet moment.
Daiki watched Ryouta as he told him about his day, voice lilting and always in motion. Ryouta had always been animated, full of life, glowing and golden, and Daiki often had a hard time looking away. He had long grown past the embarrassment of getting caught staring at Ryouta for too long and now, they had come to the point where Daiki knew he wouldn't really be able to look away ever again. And that thought was…
Ryouta was smiling at him, amused, and Daiki knew he was caught just staring again.
"Ah, Daiki is so in love with me," Ryouta sighed wistfully as he lifted a hand to his forehead like he was going for a swoon. "How is he to survive another night without being married to me, I wonder? This must be my curse for being so handsome."
"Oi, stop that," Daiki grumbled as he reached and took the hand that Ryouta had to his forehead, the one with the ring he gave him. "You really need to stop picking up shit like that from Oikawa-san."
Ryouta was laughing again, flushed from giggling too much and that random cocktail he ordered, while he held onto Daiki's hand and looked like, well.
Daiki's Forever.
"Ki-chan! Dai-chan!"
Satsuki appeared with a wave and a smile and Daiki sighed because he knew it was time to go back to the party. Joy.
"Momocchi!" Ryouta waved back with his other hand that was not holding Daiki's. "And Cheekinui too!"
"Can you just go back around and take that demon with you?" Daiki asked as he eyed Satsuki and the plump plushie in her arms. The plushie that resembled Ryouta down to the blond hair and big amber eyes. Daiki had no idea why Kise Ryouta plushies existed but there was probably a method to the madness and it included fangirls and wishful thinking.
Satsuki shook her head just as she handed over the plushie, Cheekinui, to a Ryouta making grabby hands. "You're always so mean to Cheekinui, Dai-chan. What did he ever do to you?"
"It's a trespasser," Daiki answered just as he avoided soft sausage hand pats that Ryouta was inflicting on his cheek via Cheekinui. "We're on a dinner date. And it’s evil."
The plush might look like Ryouta but it was evil to its core, Daiki just knew. He could tell by its penetrating, judging stare.
"Then I’m a trespasser, too," Satsuki said with a shrug and ignored Daiki's answering groan. "It's time for you two to come back and make an appearance at your party."
"Tell them we're busy," Daiki insisted and no, he was not whining. What are you talking about? But he stopped and just sulked a bit instead when Ryouta kissed his cheek.
"Give me just 10 minutes, okay, Momocchi?" Ryouta said as he got up, smiling that professional Kise Ryouta smile. "I'll just freshen up."
Satsuki beamed. "Okay, Ki-chan!"
Ryouta turned to Daiki and wordlessly held out Cheekinui like the plushie was a baby, hands under the plushie’s armpits while his feet dangled. Cheekinui had a wardrobe change--blue and white Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts, usually he wore a tiny Kaijou jersey--and somehow he had white angel wings strapped to his back. Daiki really didn't get it but he took it like a man and just accepted the Ryouta-looking plush. He was rewarded with a happy beam from Ryouta.
"Be right back!"
Daiki watched Ryouta go with a sigh before sitting back on his chair and putting Cheekinui over his lap. It was weird, sitting a plushie over his lap like it was a child, but he had probably done weirder for Ryouta and would continue to do so in the future for sure.
He felt Satsuki's eyes on him and he turned to meet her gaze.
She was smiling at him, something soft and fond, and it made him just hold Cheekinui closer for some reason.
"Are you ready, Dai-chan?" she asked and Daiki knew she didn't need to elaborate.
He knew what it was she was asking and he also knew his answer.
"Yeah," he replied easily, calmly, and he looked back to the direction Ryouta went.
"I am."

I want more: Kiyoshi, Akashi, Izuki, Himoru, Imayoshi and Hyuuga being told they’re going to be dads, and how they handle their s/o having morning sickness! Thank you :3
Sure!! I’m happy I got something for Hyuuga and Izuki for the first time, I hope I’ll get their characters good ^^
-May
Kyoshi:
unlike most, he won’t need any time to process or understand what you said because, god he waited way too long
will sweep you off your feet immediately, picking you and swinging you around
laughs until he cries
and it’s legit crying, he’ll have his face burried in your hair and cries, but he’s also grinning the entire time
it takes him a while to come down, but when he does, he finally sets you down and will make the he always makes when you’re having a date at home
“I’m making some more. We’re eating for three now, after all.”
might even tear up at that again
he’s so happy, no one will see him doing anything else than smile the next few days
tells you that he loves you a lot
actually, he’s one of the best nurses for your morning sickness
while he does cringe at your puking, he’s not above holding your hair and stroking your back or flushing the stuff down for you
spends as much time in the bathroom before he has to to work as he must
when you don’t want him to be around when you have to throw up, he’ll be in the kitchen making you tea
always kisses your forehead when he’s leaving for work before you even if he has to come back to the bathroom to do that
Akashi:
Akashi is half convinced that it’s to good to be true
however, when he sees your excited face he dares to smile himself and comes to you to give you a long, soft kiss
“Im happy we’re finally going to be a real family.”
whispers things like that
strokes your hair behind your ear and stares at your face with a loving expression
when you’re in bed later he’ll fall asleep with his hand on your tummy, stroking it with his thumb
gets even more protective of you than he usually is and barely lets you do anything yourself as long as you’re pregnant
when you first had mornibg sickess Akashi insted that you went to a doctor even though you were really suer it was just that
is kinda fussy about it, but also smooth
if the doctore recomended any type of medication, he’ll make sure you take it and if not, he’ll help you by sitting by you and holding you through it
is willing to cancel his work or call in late if it’s to talk you through it
secretely is highkey repulsed by puking, but does his best not to let it show
Izuki
as soon as you tell him he walks over to your counters, looking through them
“Do you want some honey?” “What- Did you even hear what I said?”  “Because you’re a mom to bee?”
he just had to do that, but once he’s done he’ll kiss you, grinning broadly against your lips
“I’m happy to bee a dad.” he’ll say, earning himself  a slap on the arm
is very,  very excited about baby stuff
looks up cute jumpers and toys online (including basketball themed baby clothes and toys)
can’t keep the news to himself for a single day
the temptation to make puns would be too great
the thing about the morning sickness is that while he doesn’t have too much of a problem with it, he won’t refrain from puns, so if you can’t deal with that in your state, you shouldn’t have him in the bathroom
if you don’t mind, he’s a really good boyfriend, though he’s not fond of actually seeing your puke because that makes him feel queasy himself
but he’ll hold you and stuff as long as you don’t throw up somewhere not in the toilet, he‘s fine
though prepare for the bee thing to be running gag for the  next nine months
Himuro:
like Akashi he reacts pretty calm
will hug you tight and kiss your forehead, smiling wide against it
“You will be the best mom, _____. The best.”
then he’ll kiss you properly, leaning you against the kitchen table, kissing until you both are out of breath
will probably tell you stories from his little cousins and how he used to babysit back in the states
is very happy and also really proud to be able to call himself a dad
he’ll want to do typically American baby rituals during your pregnancy that he picked up from his American dramas and still knows from his time there (he’s still bad with mixing the cultures up, but he likes it that way)
isn’t disgusted with you puking at all (of course, it’s not pleasant when you happen to throw up on him)
plays music in the bathroom to play over the noise you make when throwing up
combs his fingers through your hair cause he knows it calms you and he likes to play with your hair anyway
asks you a lot of stuff you like to talk about a lot to keep you at least a bit distracted
if you’re feeling really weak afterwards he won’t hesitate to carry you back to the couch or bed
Imayoshi:
to be all honest, he most likely figures it out before you even tell him
probably sneaks up to you on the day you planned to tell him and whispers to you from behind you
“So you’re pregnant, huh?”
is enjoying the shock on your face immensely, but also wraps his arms around you from behind you and placed his chin on your shoulder
“I’m really happy about that, you know.”
kisses your neck and places his hands on your belly in a protective manner
he proceeds to figure everything else during the pregnancy out before you just to drive you a little crazy
like most others, he doesn’t mind the morning sickness, but he would be kinda relieved if you wouldn’t want to have him in there
it’s just that he can’t stand the scent of vomit all that well
he knows a lot about it though and reads a lot on it as well, so he knows some good methods to deal with it
always forgets that you’re not drinking coffee when he’s already poured two cups of it, so he’ll chug one down before you are ready and quickly make some tea
Hyuuga:
when you tell him he just stares at you blankly for a few seconds before he goes “Seriously?! Are you really? We’ll be parents, there’s a kid in there?”
sputters some more incohernt shit before he finally settles for garbbing your hands and then pulling you in for a tight hug
“I swear I’ll try my best to be a good dad!”
just might cry a bit
is the type to start to make the house baby safe months before the baby is ment to arrive
might also have a small crisis whether he’ll really be a god dad, but his worries are gone when he looks at you and knows that he’s totally ready to raise your child
is less than thrilled to hold your hair while you puke your guts out, but hell, you’re carying a child inside of you, he can do as much as helping you puke
does very light exercise with you after to get your circulation back up
for the remaining time he just chills out with you in the bathroom, watching videos with you on his phone

Link Above, Fic Below
Momoi was very excited for today, she was practically bouncing in her seat. Touou was going to scrimmage Shuutoku. On top of seeing her old teammate again, she was also there to gather valuable information on the team. She heard they lost to Kuroko’s team a while ago. She had tried to call him to cheer him up, but she didn’t think he appreciated it very much. She was hoping he would be in a better mood today.
As the bus pulled into the parking lot, she roughly elbowed Aomine in his ribs, startling him awake from his nap.
“What the hell, Satsuki?!”
“We’re here, Dai-chan! Aren’t you excited?”
He scrunched up his nose in disgust. “To see Midorima? No. I don’t even want to be here.”
Momoi pouted. “But you agreed to come if Imayoshi-san and Coach didn’t make you play.”
Aomine cleaned out his ear. “Yeah but this is cutting into my nap time.”
“You shouldn’t even be taking naps, Dai-chan! At least make yourself useful and help me gather data.”
“Why should I do that?”
She huffed. “Maybe Midorin and his team can beat you.”
He glared at her. “Don’t even joke like that. It’s not funny.”
I hope someone beats you, she thought. Whether it be Midorin, Akashi-san, Tetsu-kun, or anyone else. Please lose before you lose your love of the sport forever.
She sighed. “At least pretend to be happy to see him.”
Aomine scoffed. “He would think I’m possessed if I did that.”
“You have a point...”
“I will acknowledge that he’s there.”
She sighed. “I guess I can’t ask for more.”
“I’m glad you understand my limits.”
Momoi pulled on his arm to pull him up. “Get up, let’s go.”
                                                ------------------
After all but dragging her friend into the gym, she immediately started to scan the gym for Midorima. He wasn’t all that hard to spot. He was exactly where she expected him to be, practicing at the three-point line.
She ran over to her old teammate, calling out to him to get his attention. “Midorin!” He turned at her voice and she firmly grasped his hands in hers when she reached him. She really wanted to hug him but she knew he wasn’t as touchy as she was. “I’m so happy to see you again!”
“It’s nice to see you too,” he said politely. “How have you been?”
“I’ve been good! Still trying to get Dai-chan to go to practice. He’s being so stubborn about it!”
Midorima scrunched up his nose. “Is he still reading those obscene magazines?”
Aomine glared at him, having finally caught up to Momoi. “They’re photobooks and they’re not obscene!”
“They contain half-nude women, do they not?”
“Yeah, which means they’re mostly clothed, idiot!”
Momoi sighed. “You still shouldn’t be bringing them to practice.” When you actually do come, that is...
“Yeah, whatever. I’m gonna go sit down.”
Midorima raised his eyebrow. “Are you not playing?”
“Nah, I’m not wasting my talents on a scrimmage.” He glanced over at the Shuutoku team. “If you were actually smart, you’d do the same.”
A dark haired male jogged up next to Midorima. “Ouch. That hurts our feelings a little,” he said, trying to defuse the tension.
Momoi looked him over. She couldn’t determine his abilities as quickly or accurately as Seirin’s coach could, but she could tell that he was at least decent at his position. She was guessing point guard. He looked about Akashi-san size and Midorima tended to gravitate towards things that felt familiar to him. She definitely needed more data on him.
“Huh? Who are you?” Aomine asked, rudely. Momoi was seriously going to have to remind him of his manners when they got home.
“Takao Kazunari, Shin-chan’s friend,” he held out his hand with a lopsided grin.
Shin-chan? That was so unbelievably adorable. And more importantly… She pulled Takao into a tight hug. “Midorin made a friend!”
That statement made Midorima turn beet red. Now that was very interesting indeed. “He’s not my friend!”
Takao pouted at him. “That hurts my feelings, Shin-chan.” He didn’t seem too hurt. Momoi smiled. Takao Kazunari seemed like a lot of fun. Hopefully, it would rub off on Midorima a bit.
He turned away. “I don’t care,” he said, tone contradicting his words.
All Momoi’s attention was on Takao. “You have to tell me everything! What position do you play? How did you meet?”
Takao answered “point guard” at the same time Midorima hissed “don’t answer her, fool!”
He looked up at his taller teammate. “Eh? Why not?”
“She’s using it to get information about the team,” he said like this was obvious information.
Takao playfully rolled his eyes. “She’s gonna find out when we play. But don’t you worry Shin-chan, I won’t give up any team secrets.”
Midorima sighed. “You talk too much.”
“What can I say? I’m chatty.”
“Holy shit, he’s a shorter Kise,” Aomine said.
“He is nothing like Kise,” Midorima shot back quickly.
Aomine’s response was cut off by the referee’s whistle.
Momoi took a seat on the bench. “I’ll talk to you after the match, okay Takao-kun?”
Takao saluted her as he took his place on the court. “You got it!”
Momoi happily scrambled over to the bench and prepared her notebook and pen. This game was going to be great.
                                               ------------------
Aomine stared at the scoreboard in disbelief. “How the fuck did we lose?!”
“Wakamatsu-san is sick today, so he couldn’t play,” Momoi said as she finished writing her final notes. “And another certain someone doesn’t want to play in non-official games, so we’re down two starters.”
Aomine huffed.
Takao jogged up to them. “You get everything you need, Momoi-san?” he asked with a smile.
She nodded. “I did! Congratulations on your win!”
He smiled. “Thanks! I’d love to play him next time.” He jabbed his finger in Aomine’s direction.
“If I played, we would’ve won!”
Takao stuck his tongue out at him. “Well, you didn’t play so.”
“Takao, stop antagonizing him. He’s not worth it.”
Momoi giggled as she was suddenly hit with a sense of nostalgia. “Takao-san, can you show me where the vending machines are?”
“Hmm? Yeah sure.”
She noticed Midorima not so subtly listening to them. “Don’t worry, Midorin, I’ll bring him back safe and sound.”
Midorima pushed up his glasses. “I wasn’t worried about that.”
Of course he wasn’t.
“Dai-chan, behave while I’m gone, okay?” she called back to Aomine as she followed Takao out of the gym.
“So what did you want to talk about?” Takao asked as soon as they were out of the gym.
“About Midorin. How is he doing here?”
“He’s doing good, I think. He’s doing well in class and he’s getting along with the team decently. It’s been a slow process. He gets three selfish requests everyday and he doesn’t use them as often as I thought he would. I’ve never seen him use all three yet.”
“Then I guess I had nothing to worry about.”
“You worry about him?”
“I worry about all of them. Their last year at Teiko was… stressful for them to say the least. And I was worried about all of them going to different schools and us being seperated, but I think it was needed for them to grow.” She looked at Takao carefully. “What is Midorin to you?”
Takao seemed surprised by the question. “He’s my friend. I feel like he thinks I’m a servant sometimes, but Shin-chan doesn’t know how to ask for things he wants sometimes. He knows my limits and I know his. I think we’re gonna be great partners.”
She smiled. “That makes me so happy to hear. I think you’ll bring out the best in him”
He turned a bit pink at that. “You think so?” he asked as he made his selections on the vending machine.
A bottle of water and a can of red bean soup. “I think so.”
They walked back in relative silence. Momoi stopped as she came to the gym doors.
“Takao-kun?”
“Yeah?”
“Can I have your phone number?”
“Hmm? Yeah, sure,” he took the offered notebook and wrote his number on the heading of the page. “Why do you want it?”
“It might be useful to have.”
“Momoi-san,” he teased, “you just want to know more of our secrets, don’t you?”
She laughed. “You caught me! But I think it would be good to compare notes sometimes.” She looked at him. He had sharp eyes, ones that could look right through to a person’s soul. Midorima needed someone like that in his life, someone that could see through all the layers of armor he had but wouldn’t take advantage of him. Their chemistry on the court was something that she used to see in Kuroko and Aomine. She knew that there was a good chance it would evolve into something more. “Take good care of him, okay?”
He nodded in understanding.  “I will.”
                                               ------------------
They left without much fanfare. The teams seemed to get along fairly well and Aomine was behaved for the most part. Momoi couldn’t help but notice that Midorima tended to linger by his friend/not friend closer than she had ever seen him willingly stand next to a person.
She managed to catch their attention as Shuutoku saw them off and shouted “Bye Midorin! Text me sometime, Takao-kun!” as she boarded the bus. The last thing she heard was Midorima asking why Takao agreed to give Momoi his number. She couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Midorin is happy here…” she said softly, with a smile on her face. She looked at the notebook on her lap, an idea starting to formulate in her head. She did need data on Kaijo, Yosen, and Rakuzan. Scheduling a few more scrimmages and checking up on a few people certainly couldn’t hurt anyone.

Hello my dear! I was wondering if I could request a Yakuza! Kasamatsu where he originally kidnaps reader because her family owes a lot of money. But even when they manage to pay it off, he keeps her because he ends up falling in love with her? However, he lets reader decide if she wants to stay with him or leave?
A/N: Everyone is agedup, therefore, Kasamatsu is not his normal, blushing, can’t talk to women self. That’s all fun and good but I wanted something a bit different with this oneand I hope you all enjoy it. Also, the essence of your ask is here just changedup a little. I hope you love it!
Kasamatsu sighs, rubbingthe sides of his head. This is the part of his job he hates. No, scratch that,he hates his whole existence in this fucked up world he’s been forced topartake in but there’s nothing for it; he has nowhere else to go and he’s intoo deep to ever get out.
Imayoshi smiles, thatinsincere, nefarious smile of his as their latest captive, or as he likes tocall them collateral, is ushered kicking and screaming into one of the “guestrooms”.
“Quite the feisty one,eh?” he asks looking at Kise.
The blonde snorts buthis eyes haven’t lost their gleam. If anything, they’re brighter. “Well if itwere easy all the time that would spoil some of the fun, now wouldn’t it?”
Kasamatsu shakes hishead, still perplexed how this can be the same guy they recruited a year ago.
They didn’t even have towork that hard to persuade him, in fact he came along a little too willinglyfor Kasamatsu’s taste. He remembers thinking Kise was a happy go lucky type ofguy, all sing song voice and flirty eyes, which now given his job as a lureworks well in their favor. But time has worn away that persona, at least behindclosed doors, and Kise’s revealed himself to be quite the deviant and sadisticbastard. He thinks little of almost everyone, barely respecting his higher upsand that’s mostly due to risk of punishment.
You think you know aguy.
Banging is heard uponthe locked door, the woman’s voice shrill and penetrating. “Kindly get her tostuff a sock in it, Kasamatsu,” Imayoshi orders.
The brunette gruntssomething akin to “yes sir” before striding to the door. He yanks it opensharply, a startled cry and wide eyes greeting him. He feels his heart almoststop; she’s gorgeous. Not just that but there’s fire, passion, drive in hereyes. She refuses to be a victim so matter how much she is one now.
“What the hell is this?I demand that you release me! Do you know who my father is?” she yells gettingright in his face. Yep, she’s a brave one. He pushes her back hard enough toland on the bed before slamming the door and crossing his arms.
“One, keep your mouthshut or else I’ll make your stay infinitely less comfortable with a rope andgag,” he says, voice calm and even. He watches her swallow her retort. “Two,we’re very aware of who your father is. Are youaware of the debt he owes Imayoshi? Of the bad investments and the lying andthe book cooking?”
Her eyes get wider andwider with every word he utters, tears clinging to long lashes. “I guess that’sa no,” he remarks leaning against the door. Closing his eyes, Kasamatsu inhalesa deep breath through his nose then opens his eyes once more to meet her gaze.“The grace period ended and when Imayoshi sent his collector, your fathercouldn’t pay. So, you’re here as collateral.” He brushes imaginary dust fromhis suit just to avoid her eyes. “Which means, as long as you follow orders, you can roam freely in the manor. Well, mostly free, since I’ll be accompanyingyou to make sure you don’t run off or get yourself killed somehow.”
He opens the door, turning to look over his shoulder. “For now, I suggest you take a shower andchange into something more comfortable. I’ll see to it that you get somethingto eat.” Then he’s gone, locking the door from behind which he hears renewedsobbing.
He sighs again. Hereally hates this.
Days later and he’sready to punch a wall. He thought his new charge would have some sense ofself-preservation but no, she challenges anyone and everyone she encounters, butmostly him.
“What the fuck is wrongwith you?” he hisses. “Are you trying to get yourself maimed? Or killed?” He’sgot her by the wrist having just caught her trying to escape for the thirdtime.
“You can’t hurt me,” shereasons, “If I’m collateral then part of the agreement must be my safe return, unharmed.”
“For someone who’sfamily is so deep in the business you sure are stupid about it. For one, your theoryis completely wrong. The only reason you’re still in such good condition isbecause I’m in charge of you. But what exactly do you think will happen if youdo manage to escape huh?” Kasamatsu snaps, his voice rising as he pushes up heragainst the wall, hands tightly squeezing her shoulders.
Her eyes are blown wideat his proximity and the intensity of his gaze. “You think this is a fuckinggame? That if you escape you win? Debt dropped because you were clever?”
He huffs, shaking hishead and looking down momentarily before meeting her eyes again. “If youescape, what do you think the next step is in paying the debt? I’ll tell you. Imayoshiwill merely up the cost. Instead of a live hostage, he’ll cut his loss and your father’s life short.”
She inhales sharply, tears leaking down her face. “And he’ll send me to do it as punishment for letting you get away,” he continues, tone bitter.
“That…that’s…” shestutters.
He glares deeper at her.“I hate killing, always have always will. I don’t want this life but I’m stuckto it like a curse. And,” he looks to the door, lowering his voice and hopinghis initial outburst wasn’t overhead before looking back at her, “if you keepdisobeying me, Imayoshi will remove you from my charge to someone more…adept atbreaking people.”
“How true that is, mydear,” Imayoshi says from the doorway making both Kasamatsu and her jump. Hestrides forward, pushing aside his subordinate to roughly clasp her by thechin. Face inches from hers, he speaks in a low menacing tone, and though helooks at her, his words are for Kasamatsu.
“If I hear that thislittle bird has spread her wings a bit too far one more time, I’ll let Hanamiyaclip them. Understood?” He meets his eyes back to Kasamatsu.
“Yes sir,” comes thequick reply.
Imayoshi releases herchin, giving her a slight smack on the cheek. “Count your lucky stars thatyou’re in Kasa’s care, little bird. He’s one of our more…tenderheartedmembers.”
Standing to his fullheight, Imayoshi straightens his tie and jacket, sending one last look toKasamatsu before turning on his heel and exiting the library. Exhaling a longbreath, the remaining male takes her by the elbow guiding her out into the hall.
“Who…who’s Hanamiya?”she asks numbly.
Kasamatsu tightens hisgrip on her arm. “Trust me, you’re far better off not knowing. By the time hislast collateral’s family paid off their debt the damage was already done.”
“What do you mean?”
He meets his eyes tohers. “She ended up in a mental institution.”
Since the day in thelibrary, things have been relatively easier with her, at least in terms of hersticking around. She’s still snarky and full of sass but mostly just to annoyhim. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say she was flirting.
But that may just bewishful thinking.
Because resistance isfutile against this woman and he can feel himself succumbing to her charms.Especially when she smiles. It’s uncanny how much a simple tilt of her lips inan upward trajectory can lift his spirits, though he’s careful not to show any indicationof such a thing.
Or at least he thoughthe was until Kise remarks, “If you keep making puppy eyes at her I’m goingto puke.”
Kasamatsu sends him aglare but doesn’t respond, knowing it will only make him worse. The blondesnickers, parting with, “Don’t go falling in love with her. Either way,she won’t be staying forever.”
As he walks away,Kasamatsu clenches his fist, striking the wall in his irritation; Kise’s right. This whole arrangement won’t be indefinite. Imayoshi may be a patient man buthe also has a reputation to maintain.
And everybody pays inone way or another.
It’s like self-fulfillingprophecy. Time has gone by rapidly and Kasamatsu can see the changes in her. She’s more relaxed around him, willing to smile more, even laugh out loudsometimes, usually over a book she’s reading or movie she’s watching. And hecan feel the changes in himself. The unnecessary touches to her body, a guidinghand on her back as they walk through the manor, a hand out to assist her fromher chair. The way he thinks about her constantly, even when he’s in his roomand she in hers.
He knows it’s stupid, stupid and dangerous but they don’t call it falling for nothing and he’sfalling hard and fast.
The manor is quiet, mostof the other members either off for the night having a drink or a screw (ormost likely both) or on jobs of their own. The past month has been building tothis crossroad and Kasamatsu stands rock solid like he’s wearing concrete shoes, his eyes fixed on her face as she inches closer to him.
Her hand settles on hisneck, sending shockwaves through his nerves but he remains still. Slowly she leansforward, breath teasing the sensitive flesh of his lips. “This is just…stressrelease, you understand?”
“Are you trying toconvince me or yourself?” he asks bluntly.
“Screw you,”she breathes closing the distance kissing him harshly.
Kasamatsu can’t stop hishands from moving, one wrapping in her hair while the other locks onto her hip.“If you say so,” he counters huskily.
He pushes her into themattress, mouth and tongue caressing every inch of flesh exposed. She archesand moans, holding onto him so tight he wonders if he’ll bruise. And when shecrests her peak, moaning loudly, “Yukio,” he knows he’s a lost man.
When it’s over, heleaves at her behest, her reasoning that if they keep it to just fucking it’llbe less complicated. “Whatever,” he mumbles pulling up his pants andtossing on his shirt, not bothering to button up the latter.
It happens again threedays later in the storeroom after dinner and then two nights after that in thepool house after dusk.
They both keep sayingtheir trysts can’t continue, he because of attachment issues, she because themore she feels for him the more she feels a traitor to her family. But theycan’t stop, it’s like an addiction, it goes beyond want to need and keepsgetting deeper no matter how many times in so many words they tell themselvesthey don’t care.
The veil of mutual liesfalls even lower tonight when Kasamatsu rises to leave and feels her hand wraparound his wrist.
“Stay,” shesays, the word quiet in the dark, a plea as much as it is an order. AndKasamatsu realizes as he lays back down, drawing her into his embrace, that theroles of warden and captor have switched or at the very least become mutual.
Because he’s irrevocablyin love with her.
The day comes, the dayhe’s dreaded since he first laid eyes on her. If he’s honest, he probably fellfor her then, hair flying wild, eyes full of fear but determination. She waslike no one he’d ever met before and he wants nothing more than to keep her byhis side. But it’s not his choice, nothing in this god forsaken world he livesin is his choice. It’s orders, orders, orders.
And his orders are totake her home.
Through some miracle(more likely an extreme generous or unfortunate “benefactor”) her father’s debtis cleared. She’s no longer a captive of the Yakuza, but she’s definitelyKasamatu’s.
“I don’t want to goback, Yukio, I want to stay here. With you,” she confesses as he gathers herbag filled with items acquired during her time with him.
His head falls back on asigh, arms going slack before he looks at her. “You know that’s not possible. And even if it were, I wouldn’t let you.”
She crosses her arms, finger nails digging into her small biceps, teeth mangling her bottom lip. Heknows she hates showing weakness but she can’t help wearing her emotions in theopen, her heart on her sleeve. “Why?” she whispers, eyes closing in effort totrap her tears.
He flops her bag on thebed to draw her into his arms, inhaling deeply to take in the scent of her. He drawsback, hand caressing her cheek as he stares in her eyes. They’re so pure still,so full of hope and life and good thatit pains him. Everything he’s ever wanted is right here in his arms but heabsolutely will not keep it, will not keep her. Because she’s too good for hisworld.
A dark chuckle almostescapes his lips as memory takes hold of a boy from long ago, one wearing ahigh school basketball jersey and knee-high socks, who for the life of himcouldn’t even speak coherently to agirl let alone do the things and say the words he’s done and said with her.
He opens his mouth butthe moment is broken by a knock at the door. Separating from her, Kasamatsuopens the door revealing Sakurai, who bows low.
“I’m sorry, but the caris waiting,” he says voice shaking.
Kasamatsu nods oncedismissing him. Turning back around, he walks to the bed and picks up her bagbefore placing his hand upon her back, a familiar gesture he doesn’t evenbother hiding anymore. “Come on, it’s time to go,” he says quietly.
The drive to her home issilent, save for muffled sniffles coming from beside him. She insisted she rideup front, the last time she’d have to be by his side. As they reach her family home,Kasamatsu sees her face scrunching up in an attempt not to cry. She failsmiserably. It pierces his heart but he can’t, he won’t be selfish. It’s for her own good that she returns to herfamily, even if they are tied to the business. There’s still time for her to getout, to make a life of her own away from it. Which means, away from him.
He stops the car andgets out, popping the trunk to gather her bag before reaching the passengerdoor. Opening it, he holds out his hand but she won’t take it, won’t even lookat him. “Hey, come on, they’re waiting for you,” he grunts.
She shakes her head.Groaning softly, Kasamatsu drops his burden to the ground and reaches in tuggingher out, easily moving her smaller frame with his larger one. When shecollapses in his arms he dies a little more inside. “Please,” he mumbles in herhair, “you have to go.” Her head moves back, eyes full of tears. Then suddenly, she puts distance between them just enough to rear back and smack him acrossthe face.
“I love you,” she chokesout. He stays silent. “And I know you love me too Yukio, you may never havesaid it but I could feel it! I could see, cansee it, right now, so why? Why are you doing this?” she shouts.
He grabs her shouldersroughly, pushing her back against the closed door of the car, bearing theweight of his soul in his eyes. “Because I love you too much to corrupt you!I’m nothing! I have nothing! You think I want to stay with the Yakuza, that Iwant to be Imayoshi’s errand bitch boy? I don’t have a fucking choice! He ownsme! Body, soul, mind, all of it, until I die which could be any moment of anyday!” He’s breathing hard, muscles tense and teeth grit. He grabs her chin, kissing her hard, hot and deep. He doesn’t care if anyone sees this, he’smaking a statement and wants the whole fucking world to hear it.
Pulling away, theirbreaths mingle as he says softly, “I will love you until the day I die, but Iwill not let you throw away your life for me. Go, do magnificent things, changethe world, just…live a little bit for me.”
He plants one last kissbefore turning away and heading to the driver’s door, the sound of its slam thefinality of his decision.
He means every word,he’ll die loving her, but he’ll sacrifice both of their happiness to keep her safe.
A month later, hisassertion that he could die at any time almost comes to fruition. He’s sent on a job with Aomine as lookout but their target got the jump on them and he endedup stabbed several times. For all his hard ass talk and “don’t give a fuck” attitude,Kasamatsu had never seen Aomine drive that fast before passing out. It’s amiracle that he survived.
A week has passed sincethe attack and when Kasamatsu opens his eyes for the first time it’s to find her in a hospital chair by his bed. Inhis shock, he tries to sit up resulting in a groan of pain pulling her fromtwilight slumber. Instantly she’s up, one hand grabbing his while the otherlays gently upon his cheek and he almost laughs at the irony that her lasttouch to him there was a bit more stinging. His body reacts to herautomatically, head nuzzling into her touch.
“What the hell are youdoing here?” he asks, tone weaker than he’d prefer.
She smiles softly, leaning down to kiss him and the feel of her, the scent of her, everythingabout her brings him back to life. When she pulls away, she whispers, “Hayakawatold me, or at least tried to tell me, what happened but all I needed tounderstand was you were hurt.” She places a hand over his mouth to coverprotests she’s tired of hearing. “Stop, Yukio, please. I know you think youknow what’s best, and to be honest, you’re probably right. But thanks to myfather and brothers, this world is a part of me now. And if I have to live inhell, I’d rather choose the demons I keep company with.”
He takes in a deepbreath, moving her hand and pulling her forward to kiss again, more deeply, more lovingly, than he’s ever allowed himself. Releasing her mouth reluctantly,he grunts, “And if I have to live in hell, I’d rather keep an angel by my side.”
And a week later when hereturns to the manor, that’s exactly where she is.

Hi :) I'm not even sure if ask box is open but I'm gonna take a risk. My favourite characters are Midorima, Hanamiya and Imayoshi (he's so masculine!), so could you do a fanfic about them when they fall in love with girl who loves books (and who is a bit weird) so they start to borrow books from her and give her their own to catch her attention. Thank you. ~Agnes
Whoaa I’m so sorry Agnes-sann. I just misread your request and it turned out a bit different, I’m so sorry! Hope you still like this!
HANAMIYA MAKOTO
Four times.
You sighed in irritation.
It’s four times on a week your notebook got swapped with someone’s else. Incredible. How can it be? Why can’t the class committee do their job more carefully? And besides…
You raised your eyebrow to neat the handwriting on the cover that reveal the owner of that book.
Who is this Hanamiya Makoto guy anyway…?
One time, two times, you can accept it to be accident. But four times and it repeated with the same person? There must be an explanation for it. That’s why instead of letting the class committee to fix their mistakes like before, you decided to face this ‘Hanamiya Makoto’ and ask for his side of story.
“Hanamiya-kun? Why?” Your friends voiced their surprise through their confused eyes. It’s rare for you, who seems to not care about anything else but books, to actually look for… real human being?
“I’m just curious.” You shrugged lightly, getting used to their ‘rude’ yet true words. It’s not uncommon for people to judge you, yet you couldn’t care less. You have friends and family who accept you, so? If there’s people who see you as problem, it’s theirs, not yours. “Come on, tell me. I have to get back my literature book or else I won’t be able to make it on time.”
You walked down the school corridor toward the basketball gym. It’s past school time that you finally got time to look for that certain someone. If you’re not wrong, he must still on his club activity.
“Hara pass! You’re holding the ball too long!”
“Okay, okay~”
Lively shouts coming from guys running full speed in their practice court. You’ve heard about how your school basketball team almost managed to enter WInter Cup only to get kicked out by seemingly newborn team. You had no interest at basketball and all those sports, yet… You raised your eyebrow.
“Captain you have someone looking for you.”
You waited patiently at the side of the gym when Furuhashi Koujirou, one of your classmate you managed to remember, called for the one you’re looking for. You didn’t have to wait long when a black haired guy approached you, kind smile on his face. “Ah, ___san right? Is there anything you need from me?”
Kind, gentlemanly and genius. That’s sort of conclusion you are able to make from your friends long compliment. Listening to their praises you can see why almost half of your classmates adore the guy. Hanamiya Makoto is a rare almost perfect guy you ever want to be your captain, friend or even… boyfriend.
“I just want to give this back to you.” You smiled giving back the book to its owner. “Sorry to trouble you, but can you give mine back tomorrow?”
“Ah, thank you ___san! I’m so relieved to find it again.” And of course I’ll bring yours back tomorrow. Is lunch time okay for you?“
Nodded with wide smile, you bowed slightly. “Then, I’ll take my leave now. Good luck with your practice. See you tomorrow Hanamiya-kun.”
“Thank you, ___san. I’ll be looking forward to it.” Hanamiya flashed you a perfect smile and you walked out.
“Oh, and before I forget.” Midway in your steps, you turned your head back. Smile in your lip, your eyes stare into his black one. “It’s quite annoying how you swapped our notebooks for fourth times now. But I’m quite impressed by how managed to persuade our stubborn class president to cooperate with your plan, so I think I’ll let it slide this time.”
“Wha…?” Hanamiya blinked.
“…and for suggestion, Hanamiya-kun.” You grinned. “Since you’ve gotten my attention now… You know I picked something interesting in how your team plays and I’m not quite fond of it. So please don’t think I will let it slide easily next time I see it. Hm, how should I say it, oh right. I’ll be watching your back, Hanamiya-kun.”
GIving him a last smile, you spring back to your steps out from that gym leaving Hanamiya standing still with book on his hand.
“Backfired huh?” Furuhashi commented from behind him.
“I never knew someone who noticed our team stategy only by watching it once.” Chewing on his gum, Hara laughed amusingly.
“So what are you going to do?” Seto asked at their captain who became silent since the girl walked by. “It’ll be bad if she-”
“Fufufu…”
“Hanamiya?”
“HAHAHAHAHA.” Kirisaki Daiichi’s basketball team stare at their captain in shock as Hanamiya suddenly laughed out loud.
“Watch my back huh? Fufufu. Interesting.”
He knew you’re different from first glance. It took special talent for someone who didn’t take interest to anyone but their books. Lost in your own worlds, Hanamiya’s been watching in interest how your expression tend to change endlessly only by burying your nose on thousand books of yours. That’s why. That’s the reason he willing to risk everything to make you notice him. To shift your undivided attention from your books to him. Yet from all that he expect… Seems like you’re much more than that. His hardwork is not a waste after all.
“Then let’s see then who’ll come as winner, ___chan. Let the game begin.”
IMAYOSHI SOUICHI
“…Imayoshi, you just got that look again on your face.”
Captain and vice captain of Touou high school basketball team were just studying on library, chatting lightly about their class subject when Susa noticed his friend’s attention was shifted to something, uh, no, someone else. Anyone else might not realize the meaning behind Imayoshi’s smile but Susa is his friend not for nothing.
“Hm? What is it? I don’t understand what you’re talking about Susa?”
“Ah well… if you say so.” Not that it means he has to say something. Only the guy knew what’s inside that brain of his. So if he didn’t want him to interfere, Susa won’t.
“Then I’ll take my leave here. Thanks for accompanying me.” Smiled Imayoshi tidied up his books, took off to where his eyes trained to.
You are sitting alone at your usual place near school garden. Since finding that here is the only place you can get your peaceful silent among your energetic (read: quite noisy) classmates, you prefer to spend your lunch time there. With those cute dandelion and these pretty little cosmos, you smiled inhaling the sweet scent of flowers around you. Your friends said you’re weird. Saying things that you appreciate them more than people in general. But you cannot help it. People are just too troublesome to handle with. Though if you speak about that, there’s something, no, no, someone. Someone who picked your interest lately…
“Whoa so the babies already born ___chan?”
“Imayoshi-kun!” You turned your head only to find your classmate, Imayoshi Souichi, pointed at the little cosmos that just started to blossom. Nodded you smiled brightly. “Yes! They’re so cute right?”
“Yes, yes. So cute~”
The way he said it with usual smile of his, making your cheek unbelieveablely warm.
It was all like magic really. How can you, who is very absorped in your own happy little world, get close to someone like Imayoshi. It started by a fateful day. The accident happen when you found out the book you’re borrowing from library got mixed up with an unknown guy. Too lazy to trade it back, you just brought it home and read it. The book is surprisingly good that you ended up reading it all. The person’s who supposed to borrow the book shown up the next day. With apologetic smile, Imayoshi asked if his book bore you. And that’s the beginning of your daily conversation with him. Meeting with him here to talk about books, you two exchanged promise to share if you find new interesting one. Now talking to him is as easy as speaking to your friends, not that 'friend’ can make your heart ran like this…
“Here it is Imayoshi-kun. Thank you for lending me this. It’s so amazing.” You took out thick book from your bag, giving it to him with wide smile. “The main character is so clever that he even able to set his strategist without anyone notice. It’s hard to believe there’s someone like that. He makes it look so easy to deceive person’s heart.”
“Ah I wonder, ___chan. But maybe it isn’t that hard to do so in the first place?”
“Huh? What do you me-”
“Anyway, here’s the final part of those books series.” Smile on his face, Imayoshi placed the said book on your hand. “Eh don’t underestimate it because it’s so thin ___chan. This is the most important of all, so read it with care okay?
Especially for the end part. I’ll be waiting for your opinion about it. Promise me okay ___chan~?”
Uh. Did you really see his eyes glint behind that glasses of his or…. “Sure. I’m looking forward to read it.”
Later that night, you hurriedly texted him, asking to meet him in order to give answer to his question that was written in bold neat letters at the end of that book.
'…Seems like it’s the perfect time so I’ll ask anyway~ Will you be mygirlfriend, ___chan?’
MIDORIMA SHINTAROU
“Morning, is there anything I can help? Ah you want this? Please wait a minute.”It’s just a beautiful Sunday morning. You just do your usual shift helping your family book store, when two pair of eyes eyeing you from across the street.
“You know, you could just talk with her like any of those guys do instead of playing this game right Shin-chan?” Takao muttered from where he hide behind Midorima’s tall figure.
“What nonsense are you talking about nanodayo? I’m just here to bring back ___’s book that got mixed up with mine again.” MIdorima sighed pushing up his glasses with frown. “It’s not like I want to visit her in weekend without any special reason.”
“Yeah, yeah I got it.” Takao’s grin said he knew exactly what is going on here. Who is he going to fool anyway? Midorima is a very bad liar after all. “So what are we waiting for? Let’s go Shin-chan!”
“Thank you for bringing it like always Midorima-kun. I’m sorry you always have to give it back to me.” Smiling sincerely at him, you bowed slightly.
“I-It’s no problem at all nanodayo. I just need mine for my school project.”Takao sweat-dropped at two persons in front of him. After trying so hard (for Midorima’s level) for that many times, he’s going to end it up just like this again? Takao knew him well. He always take things seriously and this is not an exception. He’s serious about you and those feeling are the reason why Midorima is willing to walk through baby steps. He’s not the type of person who shove his affection forcefully. He’s kind of guy who will wait for you to realize it yourself. One by one. Until both of your feelings connect each other naturally. But unfortunately (or fortunately) for him… Takao here is not that patient.
“Well then we’ll be go-”
“Whoa ___chan!“ Takao cut off Midorima’s words. "Your family store is so interesting! I never knew there’s book store like this on our neighborhood!”
“Ah thank you. I’m glad to hear it.” You smiled bashfully. This store is your family pride. Though how you had to sacrifice your free time to help around store instead of spending time with your friends making you looked distant and odd on your classmates perspective. That’s why meeting with your classmate, especially Midorima who you never talked with before in school day off is quite rare indeed. And it’s all just because of that coincidence, no, coincidences to be exact.
First time you realized your biology book disappeared, you were on full panic. With test coming up tomorrow, you’re desperately looking inside out your school bag. It did bring out big question when you just found out the book that doesn’t even belong to you. Have no other options, you studied and managed to pass the test with awesome mark. Midorima’s notebook is so neat and arranged that it took special talent not to understand it. Saying thanks to the guy who claims he had no idea either how their book got swapped each other, you’re just going to forget about the accident. But it seems like fate wants to speak different tale.
Two times, three times, even five times, the things repeated itself. And it certainly more than enough times for you to noticed him. Midorima is cold. He tend to speak only when its necessary and took everything almost too seriously. He’s not type of guy you got friend with, but after your fateful coincidence, you began to understand. His stubbornness. His diligence. And his desperately-tried-to-hide kindness. Slowly, yet steadily, you’re withdrawn to the guy whose notes helped you passing tests in big success.
Though his 'honesty’ still made you hesitate to make any assumption about his feeling on this matter…
“I don’t like any book in particular but… You know a lot don’t you Shin-chan? Ah then! How about we help you today? It surely more fun to do it together!”
"Eh?” You blinked as the situation got out of your hand before you realized it.
“Wha- What are you saying Takao?? It’ll be very rude to cause such bother in such busy times!”
“Ehh~ It’ll be fine! Besides this’ll be more efficient to keep eye on ___chan since her rank is the lowest today right Shin-chan?“
You tilted your head in wonder as Takao and Midorima seems debating something with those hushed whispers of theirs. "Guys…?”
“….I know you’ll agree Shin-chan!” Takao grinned triumphantly then turned to you. “Of course if you don’t mind___chan…?”
Midorima agreed…? Cheek heated, you shook your head. “Not at all…”
“Yosha! Come on Shin-chan! You helped ___chan while I handle those books okay? It’s fine, it’s fine. I can handle it on my own. You two just take your time~”
Well, though you had to ask them to move the huge panda statue Midorima brought in with him (that without your knowing, is your lucky item for the day), from getting in the way shop’s door, three of you managed to handle the shop for the day. And because of Takao who stubbornly asked, you cannot help but wait eagerly for next week when they’ll come to help again at your family store.
Maybe, just maybe… You’ll be able to tell him those feeling of yours then…?
