Thinking about how every story where some guy travels across dimensions involves him meeting a bunch of himself with different unique traits, and then one of them is just “you but a girl.” And you know what, it would be frankly hilarious to me if there was a story where dude goes to other dimensions and every alternate version of him is a woman. Surprise, he is the token guy variant of a usually-female character. :D

4, 14, 19 and 44!!!
4: What introduced you to the DC universe? Was it a show, comic or movie?
it was the cw arrowverse, actually! I watched all of arrow, most of the flash, most of supergirl, all of batwoman, and all of legends of tomorrow in a single summer and it took over my brain <3 from there I got into young justice and jlu, then titans, then I finally plunged into comics!
14: Favorite member of the trinity?
superman <33 he's just a big guy with big tits and an even bigger heart who loves his wife and his mom
19: Favorite superhero family?
arrowfam for sure! so far I've only read connor's comics (a situation soon to be remedied, I can assure you all) but they have CAPTIVATED me <33
44: Barry Allen or Wally West?
wally west! mostly because of young justice tho. he's my blorbo <33

it is kinda funny how the CW did Crisis on Infinite Earths to consolidate all of their universes into one only for them to go on to cancel all but one show on the new Earth Prime and instead make shows about different universes

So I watched the animated Legion of Super Heroes and I just can’t. I can’t with straight Supergirl anymore. Mon El as a villain? Phenomenal. Do I hate Brainiac 5? No. But the romance doesn’t work for me. Despite its flaws, once you’ve seen Supercorp, the plot beats and heteronormativity of Kara and Brainiac 5 just can’t compete. You also can’t convince me Sasha Callie’s Supergirl was straight either.
Preach. While it was hilarious to see Mon-El as a villain and have Kara kick his ass (which now makes 3 separate versions where that ship has been buried one way or another by DC, The CW, WB, etc) ... I'm honestly so sick of watching them do the same things with Kara again and again and again, especially on the romantic front, and it's entirely uninteresting for the most part.
I mean it's pretty ironic that the single best love story she's ever had in any medium was the queerbaited one between she and Lena Luthor in TV series, ffs.
Until they realize that the concept of Kara/Lena (aka the real "Supercorp" despite a couple of DC writers recently attempting to st-- I mean conveniently use the exact LGBTQ fan-created phrase, a very similar logo to the LGBTQ fan-made one and even utilize some eerily similar SC elements from the SGCW TV series) is a literal GOLD MINE of creative opportunity and money to be made... they're going to just continue to rinse and repeat the same dull shit and wonder why most people simply just don't care and they can't break out of the box (except with a couple limited runs like WoT which have no love interest).
Kara/Lena as a romantic couple literally subverts a 60+ year lore of Super vs Luthor -- taking it from a story of hate to a literal love story, and also bringing the characters back to some rather interesting and queercoded dynamics they already demonstrated between the two way back in the Silver Age comics.
Interestingly, DC has already toyed with a sapphic Supergirl in various versions already. In Bombshells: United #33 she kissed Lois Lane. In DC's Dark Knights of Steel Miniseries in 2021, they had Supergirl and Wonder Woman in a queer relationship. And with the CW tie-in Batwoman comic run for DC, the author recently subtly confirmed Kara/Lena as dating.
So why continue to go back to the same old outdated, bland, repetitive heteronormative angle that doesn't even sell enough to maintain a long-running Supergirl solo comic series, lead the show to be critically panned half the time and end on a flop note with furious fans, etc? Inexplicable, beyond the usual blind spots and phobias.
At some point, somebody will wake up and smell the creative potential and profits. Until then, we wait. And keep pushing, creating fan art and fanfic, etc and show 'em how it's done.
It'll happen eventually. I have faith. I fully believe it. Whether it's in a year, five, ten or twenty. It'll happen. Greatness cannot be ignored or avoided forever. 😉 Some day...

i really wanna know your ideal dc publishing cause seriously they could be doing so much and instead choose the absolute worst trashy choices
Lol thank you for indulging me, anon. I have thought about this EXTENSIVELY so sorry not sorry for the tusnami of opinions you have unleashed.
Before I get into the list, a few points to explain my approach:
ONGOINGS. I am a firm believer in the importance of ongoing series. There's nothing wrong with a miniseries but you can't get any forward momentum or character development with them because things keep getting reset to their baseline. Get really strong teams on your ongoings and let them develop their stories for years at a time. That's where all the legendary runs come from.
To that end, I am proposing a list of 30 books, which is a little more than 7 per week, which is roughly what DC publishes now (not including things like Sandman, Looney Tunes, etc.). They can add on as many minis as they want but will need fewer since so many more characters are accounted for with ongoings.
I am a strong believer in backup features - more value for your dollar and double the amount of characters included - so you'll see a lot of those.
I tried to balance what I personally think would be the most holistic representation of the DCU with what I believe will sell, so you're still going to see a lot of Bats. It should be understood that books without Bats are not going to be treated like throwaways like they sometimes are now. They are going to get top tier creators with long, sustained runs, just like Bruce always gets.
It will not be a publishing slate of all straight white guys from the 30s-60s.
Books with an asterisk* mean they will be kid-friendly. Not exclusively for kids, but appealing and accessible to young readers, the way Young Justice and its members' books were in the 90s. They can still include ongoing plots and queer characters and serious topics! They just shouldn't be relentlessly grim.
OKAY THE BOOKS!
Super Books:
Superman*: The lead Superman title, with a backup featuring starring Jon.
Action Comics*: Focuses more on the Superfamily as a whole, though the plot can dovetail and cross over with the main Superman book. (This is basically what's happening now.) Backup feature rotates between Kon, John Henry, Natasha, Kenan, Lois, and Jimmy.
Supergirl*: Why did I give Kara her own book and not Kon or Jon? Because a) DC needs more female-led books and b) I want to. The primary audience for this book is women who watched the CW show, or girls who have outgrown TTGo! and DC Super Hero Girls, NOT ADULT MEN. (Optional: Kon or Natasha backup feature.)
Bat Books:
Batman: Like the Super books, this would be the central title and focus on Bruce. Backup feature can rotate between the nine billion Gotham characters who need a home.
Detective Comics: Focuses more on mysteries/the family. Another rotating backup feature. NOTE: These backup features CANNOT star a character with their own book (Bruce, Dick, Damian, Selina, or Harley).
Nightwing: Dick sells. ;)
Robin*: Starring Damian, Tim gets a team book further down.
Batwoman: Perhaps we could try letting a queer woman write this for once? Revolutionary, I know.
Catwoman: Because she fucking rules.
Harley Quinn: Because she fucking sells.
Birds of Prey: I prefer a classic Babs/Dinah/Helena lineup but I'm flexible.
Batgirls*: If it’s too messy to have Babs in BoP and this, take her out and add Harper.
Red Hood and the Outlaws: Imagine if this book was good! In my universe, it will be.
Solo Books:
Wonder Woman
Flash: This will star Wally. Optional backup rotates between Jay, Bart, Ace, and Avery. Barry can show up sometimes I guess.
Green Lantern: Starring Hal, John, or Kyle. Whoever is the lead CANNOT also be on the Justice League.
Green Lantern Corps: Okay yes technically this is a team book. Shhh. Guy should always be on this book since he does better in an ensemble. The plot should dovetail loosely with the main GL book with an annual crossover but you don't have to read both if you don't want to. I am flexible about how to fit all the Earth GLs in (including Simon and Jessica), whether that's backup features or just including them in the GLC ensemble, but all six should always have a publishing home. Jo should get as many prestige graphic novels as N. K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell care to bless us with.
Aquaman: Jackson backup. Please let him go back to being Aqualad and stop making everyone grow up so fast.
Green Arrow: This book is currently perfect, no notes.
Blue Beetle*: Starring Jaime, though Ted may show up to be annoying if he would like. A Booster backup is permissible.
Vixen: If they have a Webtoon they should have a comic for $ too.
Zatanna: See above.
...I'm torn between Shazam!* or Stargirl* here. I feel like they both kind of fizzled? I guess it depends on which book gets the better pitch.
Team Books:
Justice League: I mostly don't care who is on this but if it's a bunch of white guys plus Wonder Woman and either John Stewart or Cyborg as tokens, AGAIN, DC gets shut down permanently. I don't make the rules.
Justice Society: This is also not allowed to be only old white guys. I know that's harder with the JSA. I don't care.
Titans: I'm going to be honest, I'm not convinced the OG/New Teen Titans can star in a decent book anymore, since they haven't done so in two decades. But I will give them one more try. They can call themselves the Outsiders instead if that helps.
Young Justice*: They also maybe need a new name because they are all legal adults, but this is Tim's book. I'm highly skeptical of success here as well but I think the right creative team could make something really soapy and New Adult and queer work. Please keep in mind that there are nine trillion characters in the DCU who are roughly Tim's age to draw from; the "Core Four" (ugh I hate that term so much) can all be members but they are not the only members. (Cassie cannot be the only girl and it cannot be all white.)
Teen Titans*: Damian's team! I vote for characters like Emiko, Ace, and Jackson here, but I'm flexible. THE AUDIENCE FOR THIS BOOK IS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, NOT PEOPLE WHO GREW UP ON WOLFMAN/PEREZ. Jesus, DC.
Suicide Squad: I truly do not care about this book but we need to do something to appease the edgelords.
The New Gods: I'm thinking EPIC, I'm thinking KIRBY, I'm thinking SIMONSON. Everyone talks in a serif font and it should be impossible to explain out loud with human words. It's what Kirby would want.
So there it is, there's my pitch. Again, this doesn't cover minis (Elongated Man miniseries WHEN), event books, etc., but I think it gets most of the key players on the board!
(And yes, I know I left the Legion out. I'm sorry. But not very sorry. They can cameo in Kara's book.)

Black Panther PSA
To whomever it may concern...you guys know it’s possible to mourn and be upset about Chadwick/T’challa WITHOUT disparaging Black women...right?
Because I can’t go onto ANY T’challa thread without someone throwing shade at Black women or saying that little Black boys don’t have any heroes to look up to any longer and it’s making me avoid all the places I used to go to for nice T’challa discussions.
And for anyone who thinks little boys don’t have any positive Black superheroes to look up, here’s a list of future MCU films/shows that are starring Black men:
1. War Machine film
2. Nick Fury’s Secret Invasion
3. Sam Wilson’s Captain America: New World Order
4. Blade starring Mahershala Ali (and yes, this film is still happening)
5. Into The Spiderverse Sequel with Miles Morales
Not to mention plenty of the previous movies/Shows that star Black men such as Luke Cage, Cloak and Dagger, Black Lightning, Static Shock, Wesley Snipes’s Blade, Spawn and the films where Black men are still important parts of the narrative like Batwoman, Supergirl, Eternals etc...
AND we still have the various books/comics/graphic novels that star Black men. Anyone who wants more T’challa should consider reading Ronald L. Smith’s YA series Black Panther: The Young Prince. There are 3 books in total. And even outside of Marvel and DC there’s tons of YA books such as Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky or the Imaro series.  There are PLENTY of outlets for young Black boys to see empowering images of themselves
I’m just kind of sick of this whole misogynoir that has reared its ugly head in the Black Panther/MCU fandom. Yes, I am heartbroken about Chadwick but that does not give ya’ll permission to shit on Shuri, Romanda, Nakia, Okoye and the entire Dora Milaje.
If your pro-Blackness does not include Black women, Black Queers, Black Neurodivergent people, Black people with disabilities, etc, then it’s not pro-Blackness.
ALSO: WTF IS WRONG WITH LITTLE BLACK BOYS LOOKING UP TO BLACK WOMEN AND BLACK GIRLS?

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
5 Times The Doctor Talked About River Song With Graham (+1 Time The Fam Finally Met Her) - the 13/River fic where Graham finds the Doctor's missing wedding ring and she gradually opens up about her wife.
“Her name was River Song.” She says once he’s already taken a few steps. He stops, turning around, giving her the opportunity to continue or not as she needs. “She was an archaeologist. And a professor. And a criminal. And she was brilliant and absolutely mad.”
“She must have been. Married you didn’t she?” Graham jokes before he can help himself.
But Doc just grins like she agrees and laughs to herself.
Something uncoils in Graham’s chest at seeing Doc’s face regaining its natural brightness, however tinged with grief. The grief isn’t new either, he’s seen shadows of it in her all along but this is the first moment she doesn’t seem to be trying to hide it. Or maybe the first time she’s not trying to hide from it.
The Suspicious Case of Tribbles - the 13/River fic where River tries to "borrow" the TARDIS for lil'bit.
"Don't mind me. Carry on!" The woman says, dropping a bag of something heavy that sounds like a bag of rocks to the floor and hurrying towards the TARDIS controls. "I'm only here to establish an alibi. A short hop over to the other side of the hemisphere and some 38 planetary hours in the past should do it. I'll send you lot right back to him none the wiser. It'll be our little secret."
She's Come Undone and Set Free - Elejah, Bonbekah, Klaroline and Elena/Caroline/Bonnie/Rebekah friendship story that deals with Elena and Caroline getting to be angry and making Damon pay for what he did to them, as well as supporting each other and beginning to heal. (WIP, but there's only 2 chapters to go).
“I want you to know, that’s not why I will always hate you, Damon.” She strengthened her hold on his face at the look of caution that was surfacing at her words, likely because he’d just now been remembering that not that long ago she’d broken his neck. “I won’t even hate you because of the sire bond. Though I wasn’t lying, it felt like being a slave to your every desire, whether or not you actually voiced them. And the funny thing? I’m not sure I’ll ever know how much me there was when I was making any of the choices that lead to Jeremy dying.”
“What’s your point?” Damon asked and grabbed her hands in a vice-like grip that made it impossible for Elena to try again what she'd done nearly two days ago when she'd regained her humanity. But she'd already known there wasn’t a point trying now that he'd be expecting it, so she didn’t fight to escape him.
“She’s my best friend, Damon. I will never forgive you for what you did to her,” she said and did absolutely nothing as Damon’s eyes widened and he tried to turn around. He wasn’t fast enough. He’d been too consumed by Elena to pay attention to any other heartbeats around them, and despite her age, Caroline had always been an unusually fast vampire.
Morai's Call to Hope - my Star Wars, time travel, Snips and Skyguy fic where Anakin gets pulled into the World Between Worlds three days before his Fall, watches as Darth Vader is about to kill Ahsoka... aaaaaaand jumps forward to stop him. (WIP and I'm very ashamed about it, because I loved writing this story and really hope to get back to it someday)
From behind Anakin there comes again a whisper from a different time: ‘I would never let anyone hurt you, Ahsoka… never…’
But in front of Anakin comes something else.
‘Then you will die,' the Sith says in direct contradiction to everything Anakin has ever promised both aloud and inside his own heart to the closest thing he’s ever had to a little sister or a daughter. And every single cell of his body rebels against a time where he would ever utter those words to Ahsoka. So even as the red lightsaber ignites in the Sith’s hands, Anakin rushes forward and through the fragile line of a portal separating his reality from theirs.
As the Sith’s lightsaber finishes the arch of its blow instead of encountering Ahsoka’s white dual sabers it’s stopped by the intervening block from a blue lightsaber in the hands of the Anakin Skywalker sixteen years out of his time.
You know who you remind me of? - the 13/River fic where the Doctor is in the middle of hiding under a table with Yaz for plot reasons when she hears the sound of her wife's laughter and is immediately distracted from the mission that brought them there.
The laugh is thick with mischief and a galaxy of secrets.
She knows that laugh.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to. I adore comments and really truly appreciate receiving them, so I do try to respond to them. But sometimes I get into a kind of slump where replying just feels exhausting. And by the time I'm over that, it might have been like two weeks, and then it feels embarrassing to respond.
And sometimes I just don't know WHAT to say.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably Last Words. I do have quite a few angsty fics but I usually end them either happily or with an open ending that's got light at the end of the tunnel. But this once I came up with an idea for soulmate-identifying-last-words and then wrote a Korrasami fic for it.
Asami had known that Korra was her soulmate. And like everyone else she was in no hurry to see it proven. And there she might be counted lucky, because she did not learn it for many years to come. They survived the war with Kuvira, and then returned from their vacation in the spirit world, and survived many more battles beyond that. The Avatar lived a long life.
But Asami Sato lived a longer one.
So that has the saddest ending.
Well, that, or maybe what's the point of greater good, which is my Queliot (with a side of Wickoff) story where Julia talks to Quentin during the time Eliot was possessed by the Monster.
She finds him stubbornly looking through the mountain of books, searching for any and every scrap of information on Enyalius they can get. He looks like he hasn’t slept since the moment weeks ago when Eliot managed to surface for those brief few moments to tell them he was alive. Hope’s a bitch that way.
“We need to stop him Q.” Julia says, from behind him.
Quentin’s shoulders freeze in place and he leans forward, hands clenching the spine of the book he’d just been about to pick up.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Like I said, I tend to mostly write happy endings. But if I have to pick what I considered as the happiest one, then here's a story that's full of angst in the middle, which made the ending feel even happier because of the contrast.
6 Times Bellamy Tried to Forget That He Was in Love With Clarke (+1 Time He Couldn’t Anymore) - exactly what it sounds like. My big look into Bellamy's head through most of the seasons. Canon almost to the end, where I sharply switch tracks and give Bellarke the happy ending they goddamn deserved.
The first thing he saw as the delinquents pulled aside the sheets of scrap metal to let their two missing people in was Clarke running in front, scraped up but seemingly uninjured. He wished that the relief that overtook him was entirely selfish, that it had to do with the fact that he had his partner back and he wouldn’t have to carry the burden of their people’s lives all by himself. But that was crap.
It was vastly overpowered by the simple joy of seeing that Clarke was alright.
“Hey, we heard an explosion. What happened?” she fired out rapidly as soon as she was in front of him. Face serious and eyes focused entirely on Bellamy, - and it was something that had gotten to be so familiar to him that it almost felt like having her there was akin to getting back a missing limb.
He almost, almost fell to the instinct to pull her into his arms because he was just so damned glad that she was alive that the only thing that saved him was the fact Jasper got there first.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not a lot. But there's been a few occasions where I have gotten some, yes. Mostly the 'this was a waste of my time' variety.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Not... really? On a few rare occasions I've written a bit of spice but I don't think that people that read smut would give me more than 2.5⭐ out of 5⭐.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Yes. When the idea for one strikes. And I don't know if I'd say it's the craziest one, but definitely a fun one is my Stargate SG-1/Leverage crossover where the Stargate Program needs to recruit some thieves.
The Homeworld Security Job. (incidentally this is also the fic that got me the most amount of hate comments).
“I know, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that no one at SGC can go, you need thieves for this mission. And this is a big planet, you guys must have some good ones between those 7.5 billion people. You get me a few of them and I can teach them how to play a wealthy minor Goa’uld long enough to get in and out. But I can’t teach someone to be a good enough liar to not get caught. Not with the time we have here.”
“What do you want us to do, Vala? Grab a bunch of criminals off the street and hope they don’t decide that stealing a Stargate and selling that to the highest bidder instead would be a more lucrative business plan?” Cameron asks.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not as far as I'm aware.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Once. My Lunarry fic the ones that seek and find (six years in the relationship of harry and luna) has a translation into Chinese Mandarin 探寻和发现(哈利与卢娜相处的六年).
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No. It's always sounded kinda complicated.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I do NOT have a one single favorite ship. But there are a few that I will probably never let go of and those are: Elejah, Swan Queen, Hizzie, Bellarke, Spuffy, Doctor/River, Clizzy, Bering and Wells, Kahlan/Cara, Parker/Hardison, Graylora and DFQC/XLH.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
All of them 😭.
But especially the Star Wars time travel one I mentioned earlier. I love that one so much. And I want to go back to it and finish it. But the stars aren't looking all that bright.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'd like to think that I'm good at getting into characters' heads. Their inner monologues tend to be the easiest part to write (it's the dialogues and surrounding scenes that trip me up).
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Grammar. English isn't my first language, so the fiddly parts of the grammar is what I've picked up through osmosis while reading, which isn't exactly... a flawless way to do it.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've done it a few times (mostly in my Clizzy fics, because Izzy's character peppers a decent bit of Spanish in her dialogue on the show) and have nearly always kind of regretted it (I've needed to do fixes nearly every time, had to learn that google translate cannot be trusted the hard way).
19. First fandom you wrote for?
If I remember correctly, then I think that was a very terrible attempt at a BtVS/Stargate SG-1 crossover that has been deleted since then.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
This is a very predictable answer but that's She's Come Undone and Set Free, I'm just really proud of this story for a lot of reasons. And though there are a few other of my fics I love more than others, this one is just... my favorite of all of them.

Hey! I used to be a huge fan of Supergirl but kinda got lost after New 52. Could you give a few ideas to quickly catch up to what Kara’s doing now? Maybe a reading guide? Thank you!
hi of course!!
so if you just want to quickly catch up on what shes doing currently, then you can go ahead and just read supergirl: woman of tomorrow. it doesn’t require prior reading of her rebirth series and it catches you up to where her character’s at right now.
but i’ll also go ahead and give you a full reading guide for rebirth if you’d like to fully catch up with her!
Supergirl: Rebirth (2016) #1 Supergirl (2016) #1-8 Batgirl (2016) Annual 1, Supergirl #9-12 Supergirl Annual 1, Supergirl #13-20 World's Finest: Batwoman and Supergirl #2 The Man of Steel (2018) #1-6, Supergirl #21-33 Supergirl #34-36, Annual 2, Supergirl #37-42 Action Comics (2016) #1024-1028 Future State: Superman of Metropolis (2021) #1-2 Future State: Kara Zor El, Superwoman (2021) #1-2 Action Comics 2021 Annual Action Comics #1031-1035 Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2021) #1-8 Dark Crisis (2022) #1 Action Comics #1044-1045 (not in the main story but in the one tacked onto the end) World’s Finest (2022) #1-6 (ongoing)
everything bolded is required, italicized is recommended, and everything else is just there for you to read if you feel like it. and that encompasses what kara’s been doing in rebirth :)
one quick thing i’ll add though: the first half of the list through supergirl #33 is fairly self contained and straightforward, supergirl #34 though is where the leviathan event and the batman who laughs shit starts to leak through and (imo) a pretty big drop in quality happens. also i just threw world’s finest: batwoman and supergirl in the least jarring spot i could put it bc it came out after kara’s series ended but also takes place in the middle of her series and i'm not even 100% sure its canon, other than that everything is listed in the order it came out in.
thank you for the ask!!

Arrowverse Rewatch - Crossovers Part 2
Duet: This is a very polarizing episode and I get why, but for me its a complete delight. Perhaps it should have happened a little earlier in The Flash season, but as an episode of its own, its just so much fun. Unlike the previous Flash/Supergirl solo crossover, this really is a true crossover because Supergirl's ongoing relationship drama is front and center along with Flash's. So this isn't a case where Kara is really anyway secondary to Barry in the episode. With a pretty talented cast of Arrowverse singers, the episode is a blast and the actors are clearly enjoying doing something different. Again, the core success of this episode lies on Grant and Melissa endearing buddy chemistry. To me, this is a 8.5/10.
Crisis on Earth X: Now this was definitely Arrowverse crossovers at its peak. With all 4 shows combined, this is definitely the coolest crossover. This was a crossover which felt like closest to a movie. While previous, crossover episode kept focus on the characters from the show whose crossover episode it was, as in, The Flash crossover episode would focus more on The Flash cast etc..., here there is no such main focus. And this is really the only crossover that really feels like that. Its one of the darker crossovers, with the presence of Nazis and much more consequences that previous crossovers, with the death of Stein occurring in the final episode. But there is also a lot of fun to be had, be it the action, like the wedding fight scene, or just individual character moments, like the girls getting their nails done while Oliver and Barry get their tuxes, Sara and Alex hooking ep etc... We also get some fun doppelgangers, like Leo Snart and General Schott. The villains are also easily the strongest of any crossover. It helps that we have existing Arrowverse actors playing these roles. The action is terrific, particularly the wedding fight and the climactic fight in the last episode where we get Flash vs RF, Supergirl vs Overgirl, and Green Arrow vs Dark Arrow. My only complaint is that it does feel that Flash gets a bit shortchanged character wise, given it was supposed to be centered around WestAllen wedding. However, its easily the best of the major crossovers. A 9/10.
Elseworlds: I read that filming Crisis on Earth X basically killed the cast and crew from exhaustion. So Elseworlds was comparatively a much smaller crossover. In essence, this crossover really returned to the core of the Arrowverse crossovers, which is Barry and Oliver's relationship. The first episode of Elseworlds, when dealing with the body switching, is really a lot of fun. The episode makes great use of Grant and Stephen's chemistry and how they play off each other. Then we also insert the always delightful Melissa into the mix as Kara. The trio dynamic is a lot of fun, although it is fair to say that Kara feels like the third wheel throughout the crossover. It was pretty nice to introduce Clark and Lois to the Arrowverse gang. The problem with this crossover is that it is essentially a prelude to COIE. There is stuff in this crossover that is just setup, like E-90 Barry Allen, who enters and then disappears. The middle episode also spends a fair bit of time on Batwoman and trying to setup some sort of dynamic between Kara and Kate, which never really panned out to much outside of COIE. The first episode of the episode is the highlight, with the body switching comedy, and the second episode carries some of that over while introducing Gotham, but the final episode is a bit of a letdown. For a Supergirl episode, Supergirl herself was trapped in a cage for most of the episode. Tyler Hoechlin ended up being the most prominent Supergirl oriented presence in the episode. Still, it was really enjoyable and we definitely got Grant, Melissa, and even Stephen loosen up and have a lot of fun with the material. A 8/10
Crisis on Infinite Earths: By far the biggest crossover ever attempted, and, as it turned out, unfortunately the last true crossover event. COIE is honestly a bit of a mixed bag. Some of it is because of the unfortunate and uncontrollable aftermath. COIE in essence promised a unified E-1, with characters from Supergirl and Black Lightning now existing on the same Earth as the Flash, Legends, and Batwoman. But due to Covid, and due to shows ending/getting cancelled, that has never been able to be utilized much outside of a little bit on Armageddon in The Flash season 8. Essentially, the promise of the ending of COIE was never fulfilled and will now never be. But even outside of the uncontrollables, the crossover is a mixed bag. There is a lot of fan service in this crossover. While some of it is fun and unexpected, they don't really add much to the overall crossover. Be it the DCEU Flash cameo, Lucifer cameo, Smallville cameo etc... none of them really amount to anything substantial other than it being a celebrity cameo. Also, there are aspects of the storytelling that just feel pointless. In the first episode, there is a subplot about Sara, Lois, and Brainiac 5 meeting an AU Oliver, which just diverts attention from the main Crisis. There is a whole subplot in episode 3 of the crossover with Kara and Kate just walking around the ship, fronting up with one another. There is also the trip to purgatory which leads to nothing. Then in episode 4, there is the Kara, Ryan, and Lex subplot which again is meaningless. In general, I did not understand the point of bringing in Ryan Choi. His presence in the battle at the end of the 4th episode looked kind of silly. Also, this crossover was clearly the case of ambition overreaching ability. There was clearly not enough of a budget to have all the actors available for the episodes. For example, the final battle in Legends episode has so many missing heroes. Despite all the negatives though, there is still a lot of fun to be had. Brandon Routh's Superman was one of the highlights for me. It was great to see him back in the role as well as Ray Palmer. Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, and Caity Lotz did a bulk of the heavy lifting in the crossover as they are present across all episodes. Stephen Amell is surprisingly light in the crossover, given it his farewell. He only appears as a body in episode 2 and very briefly in episode 3, and not at all in episode 5. There are some nice Barry and Oliver moments in hour 4, and an unexpectedly nice moment between Barry and Sara, which is not a duo I have seen interact solo elsewhere. I quite liked that the final episode of the crossover embraces a lighter tone compared to the heavier previous hour. The ending, with the tribute to Oliver, as well as the new team formation is well done. I really hope DC in the future is able to to Arroverse team ups in the future since all the characters who created the team are still alive, even if the shows are done. Overall, an uneven crossover that was still an ambitious effort. A 7/10.

44.  A „Superman & Lois“-Crossover with the rest of the Arrowverse
Tumblr media
No matter what certain people claim „Superman & Lois“ was always supposed to take place on Earth Prime, which is the reason why they did cast Tyler und Bitsie for the show, had John Diggle guest star on it, and even brought back the „Supergirl“-Version of Lucy Lane. Rumour has it they even wanted Adrian Pasdar back as Morgan Edge and a foto of Melissa was shown during the Pilot. „Oliver and the others“ were mentoned as if there were other superheroes, and until the Bizarro World came along they did very purposefully not use doppelgangers of living persons in the present of the show. Lex Luthor was mentoned in a way that added up to his status on Earth Prime, and there was talk about crossovers with the other shows like all the time. The scene in „Crisis on Infinite Earths“ that showed Lois talking with Clark about her sons (plural) had no card indicating it was not taking place on Earth Prime, so yeah, it was supposed to take place there.
Therefore we were supposed to get crossovers. Originally there was supposed to be two-part crossover with „Batwoman“, in which characters from the other shows were also supposed to appear. Then this was supposed to be replaced with the infamous „John Diggle in all shows“-Crossover. Neither of those ever happened, and both versions would have involved „Superman & Lois“ very much taking place on Earth Prime. So if any of those would have happend, „Superman & Lois“ would still be part of the Arrowverse today.
By the time Season 2 rolled around … well there was talk about Kara appearing on the show. That never happened either, and if there were plans for a Crossover Event between shows we weren’t told about it. They kind of replaced that idea with a string of Crossover Episodes on „The Flash“, and „Armageddon“ was originally supposed to feature Superman. But that did not work out, and he would not have done very much. And of course there is a Tyler Hoechlin Superman on Earth Prime, so they could have still gone through with the whole „The show does not take place on Earth Prime“-Nonesense, even if that would have happened.
By the end of Season 2 we realized that the only crossovers that ever happend, those with „Arrow“ via John Diggle, had not been crossovers at all, because it was not John Diggle after all, only a doppelganger of him. Which means there were never any crossovers between „Superman & Lois“ and the any other Arrowverse Show.
And since pretty much everything else was cancelled, „The Flash“ is ending, „Stargirl“ is fighting for its life, and no one knows on which Earth „Gotham Knights“ is even supposed to take place (not Earth Prime, that we know!), there is never going to be a crossover with the Arrowverse on that show now.
Earth Prime does not even know that there is a Multiverse, so unless the figure that out in Season 9 of „The Flash“ and have Grant Gustin guest star as Barry Prime at some point in Season 3 or Season 4 (and there might not even be a Season 4), there simple is no way or reason to have a crossover happening.
Even if they bring back Melissa as Supergirl or Stephen Amel as Green Arrow it would be the „Superman & Lois“-Version of those characters not the Earth Prime Versions, so it would not be a crossover. Lex Luthor from Earth Prime could be pulled ot of the Phantom Zone on their Earth, but this won’t happen anytime soon, and after that … frankly, even if the show contiunes beyond Season 3, someone wanted it to have nothing do with the Arrowverse it was born in ever since they started filming the first episode, so they just won’t do any more crossovers. Especially after there are no more Arrowverse Shows, that are still on, and that will actually be the case once „The Flash“ has ended. Even „Stargirl“ is not really an Arrowverse Show, since there never was a proper crossover with that show either. So yeah, that is sadly never ever going to happen. The Haters behind the scene won.

I'd love to hear you complain about The CW. It's always fun to hear you complain.
I do find fun in being a salty ass little hater too, 'Nonny. It helps me to blow off some steam.
And funny thing about all of this is that I am from Brazil, and I was so goddamn lucky to not get The CW Network on my catalogue; the shows would air all at the Warner Channel instead. However, I'd learn more about The CW through the internet, specially on Tumblr, because most of the userbase here is from the US (I've joined Tumblr days after turning 18, I think...)
For those who don't know what The CW Network is, it's basically a junction of CBS and Warner Brothers (hence the channel's name being a fusion of the first letters of their networks). It was founded in Jan. 24th, 2006, but debuted later in Sept. 18th of the same year.
Their slogan was "Dare To Defy" (which it has proven out to be a fucking lie, because they'd never dared to defy anything).
It was home to many pop-culture favourite shows, such as The 100, Supernatural, Gilmore Girls, Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, and the Arrowverse, just to name a few.
Now, the Arrowverse worked on a similar vein to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, except with TV shows instead of movies. They were a series of TV shows (Arrow, Superman & Lois, Black Lightning, Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman), and had the yearly tradition of a crossover special entitled Crisis On Infinite Earths ever since 2019.
The Arrowverse was only popular, because it had no competition at the time of its run, but now they can't hold a candle to the superhero shows at Disney+ and HBOMax, as the quality is clearly much more superior than theirs, in comparison.
And speaking of quality, The CW Network has NONE. It's absolutely mediocre, from its writing to its CGI, everything is complete and utter garbage. And the channel has earned the reputation of being the pinnacle of mediocrity on television ever since. People would often comment on subpar series trailers on the internet with "Wow, it looks like something The CW would air".
Out of all Arrowverse shows, Batwoman was the absolute worst of them all (Supergirl was bad too, but that's another story for another day). It was extremely condenscending and its representation was a shameless act of clout-chasing, mercilessly shat on Batman's entire legacy and hard work (hell, they even called KEVIN FUCKING CONROY to act on Crisis On Infinite Earths, only for him to play the role of AN EVIL MURDEROUS BATMAN, AND HAVE HIM TO BE KILLED OFF ON-SCREEN BY BOTH BATWOMAN AND SUPERGIRL) for the sake of their #woke and über progressive brand feminism!
The whole philosophy of Batwoman (and Supergirl, too) was entirely resumed on this sentence: "Women good, men bad".
Things would go so badly for the channel, that they'd have to eventually put it up for sale, which it's a nigh impossible task for them to sell The CW, because this channel has been unprofitable since 2006.
Fast forward the time a little bit to 2022, and with Discovery's buyout of WB, Warner Discovery was born. Under the leadership of its new CEO, David Zaslav, the Arrowverse is being finally cancelled, as he wants to reform the whole DCU.
I'm sorry; this turned out to be more of a history lesson than an actual rant, lol. I feel that if I talked about the mediocrity of The CW, it would be... repetitive.
Whatever thing I say, has been already said by anyone else. That's why I recommend YouTubers Rubycalaber, Friendly Space Ninja, JLongbone and ProcrastiTara, as they've already covered some of The CW's shows, and said everything that's on my mind (Riverdale, The Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman).

There better be another season coming...
There are very few things I actively hate.  One person who has done everything in her power to deserve it, and bad plot twists…  I don’t hate easily, mind you.  Unless I just see you as beyond redemption.  What I hate a lot however is catching up to a series I like.  That may seem odd to hear, but it means I have to wait for the next episode and I am historically not a patient individual.  However, what pisses me off most of all is not knowing if this show will get a new season.  Especially when the creator of said series is renowned for his show getting follow-up seasons years later, or never…
Such is the case with Young Justice, which recently wrapped up its fourth season.  Which, of course, he peppered in several teasers for the next season.  He has not spoken to the showrunner of Legends of Tomorrow, who said they played chicken with the network and lost.  And Warner just got acquired by Discovery, whose boss is chopping “underperforming” shows left and right.  Legends was among them, as well Naomi, Batwoman, and Roswell including the charmed re-launch.
And, I’m not sure if a cult following will stave Zaslav off of Young Justice.  A show I came to late in its infancy.  It's no Justice League, actually focusing on many tertiary characters as its focus.  A decidedly different premise from most DC shows these days, not to mention that one built on a similar preference was cut this season as well.
The worst part is the set-up for a Dark Supergirl, Black Mary at the mercy of Darkseid, meaning we could see some further examination of character concepts that lasted mere pages in the comics.  But, if it is cut, it seems we’ll avoid the notion of Sanctuary entering the universe, which was among the shittier concepts from Heroes in Crisis.  Well, shittier in execution than in concept.  The upside is they killed Wally off before they could ruin his character.  That’s the other concept that’s pissing me off…  They’ve been blue-balling us with his return for two seasons with Wally’s return.  And considering Wally was the character they assassinated the most during Heroes, I’m not sad if he’ll get to avoid killing off many of DC’s second-generation characters in one of the worst mystery stories of the last thirty years.  It could be a decent storyline if they can avoid letting Tom King write part of it.

right?? like, “hey fella, let me tell you something that won’t change literally anything in your life!”. Not wanting to give spoilers, but most of the time I like to be the “fella” in question sooooo- you probably understand. Well, taking into account the fact that it's difficult for someone to see something with more than 2 lines these days and read it... maybe you're right lmao.
Speaking of music-based ideas, I'm sure you put a new song on that playlist, I'm not going crazy.
The way my weakness really is seemingly sad emojis and that little “:(” face in particular lol. Okay, you win, like I was saying: Vampire Kate is so—...
Yeah, I totally see the idea of soft dom Kate - and puppy sub Kate -, ever since you wrote this I've been running around with it 24/7 in my mind.
R.I.P First kill. Ironically killed off in its first season.
The way I was SHOCKED thinking that you were going to say it was painful because you don't like him or something like that, at that moment I didn't know what to say, again. ME, it was me sorry- I was the one who made fun of aquaman because of his powers back then, but now I see that they're pretty cool ngl. He lives my dream. Do you still like them? Nightwing and aquaman.
Would you believe me if I said that I still haven't touched a single arrowverse ep and only the flash crossovers?
– 🌟
i don't know how to tell you this, but that's absolutely not a spoiler at all. the fact that you entertained my long-ass tegan and sara rambles kind of gave you away from the start. as long as you want to keep listening [or reading, i guess], i'll keep talking [er, writing. you know what i mean] sorry to the rest of my followers who keep having to scroll past these walls of text lmao [but i'm not that sorry]
i can't believe you would play with my feelings like that smh. my face literally went from 😄 to 🥺 in the span of five seconds. keep being mean about it and i'm pushing vampire part 2 to the end of the month.
as sad as it makes me, i'm a sucker for some good irony lmao.
dgajkhgjgdshg sorry, i wanted to be dramatic lmao. i definitely shifted over to marvel at some point but yeah, i still love nightwing and it sucks that he's somehow still really underrated??? the version of him from the batman: arkham knight game still remains supreme in my opinion. ALSO, i will accept your apology while also judging you because in what world is talking to fish NOT cool??? i've never understood it. [ironically, the greek mythology phase ties back in here because tridents are awesome to me. it kind of went like this: poseidon -> aquaman -> finnick odair...yes, from the hunger games]
i not only believe you, i sort of envy you 😶 the arrowverse got a lot of things wrong and it's honestly not that good BUT legends of tomorrow and batwoman remain supreme [and my absolute favorite comfort shows. the flash is just...there and supergirl went downhill very fast. although both caitlin snow and kara danvers 100% fueled my gay awakening lmao]
