Danny has made a delightful discovery. Blob ghosts can in fact change their shape! Sure it’s simple shapes, but still! He has a school of flying blob fish and blob cats following him around and they’re adorable. And it’s not like most people can see them outside of Amity anyway, so they’re fine to follow him around as they like.

Though maybe he should have remembered that the most doesn’t mean no one can see them. Um, hello? Feral stabby child?? No you can not steal some of his friends??? Where are your parents????

Hyrule first contact

So I just had a brainwave about an idea I've had on the backburner for a while now: a Star trek/Zelda crossover heavily inspired by the TNG episode First Contact.

(The basic plot of the episode is: a race of humanoids have developed warp-capable technology. The federation shows up to them as a courtesy gesture, basically going "hey, you've got warp! Nice! Just a heads up that there's a lot of stuff out there and we are one of the nicer groups you're going to encounter. Here's a heads up about a bunch of things you should maybe be aware of". And of course, shenanigans ensue)

My thought is: The planet Hyrule is on is in the Gamma quadrant. Sometime post-tears of the kingdom, Zelda and the research teams have developed warp-capacity travel. (Maybe through the rediscovery of some ancient zonai or sheikah tech) (I haven't finished the game yet so please don't mention spoilers I will be very sad!!)

Throughout the development of this warp capacity travel, the Federation takes notice. There's some weird-ass energy signals coming from this planet near the wormhole between the alpha and gamma quadrants, and so they do some covert research. Eventually they reveal themselves, cue many excited technobabble conversations between Zelda and the Federation teams.

Fun things about this: Hylia and the Golden Three could be the very same entities as the Prophets. Because the prophets exist outside of time, it would lend itself well to all the time travel shenanigans and strange devices that the gods have left Hyrule (just like Bajor gets the Orbs, Hyrule has Tears, the master sword, etc). Also, could help explain the fractured timeline - the prophets just being like "a linear temporal existence? what is this?"

I also like the idea that they're blissfully ignorant of the Dominion, because the Founders took one look at the cursed shit going down in Hyrule and went "fuck nope. We're the only spooky goop that we want to deal with. DNI with that planet."

Is Demise a pah-wraith??

Think of the shenanigans that could ensue if Gul Dukat ever met Ganondorf.

Bashir and Jadzia getting up to incredible mischief.

Sisko panicking because oh my GOD am I now the Emissary to these people too???? And Zelda being like nah I think that's my job, you're good man.

I might loop in some TNG characters as well just because I wanna see Purah and Robbie losing their entire shit over Data.

Garak being generally impressed by the Sheikah, especially some of the nastier stuff in their history.

Setting would be pre-dominion war.

Anyways that's all I've got for now, we'll see if this thing gets written someday! If you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

Ooh! Random idea/prompt/thing literally popped into my head! Anyone can use as much as they want of it. I don’t write, so I post ideas just to get them out there.

Linked Universe/Harry Potter crossover.

Really, it’s linked universe and not something else because while I have recently heard of another one where the different links meet each other, I’ve only read LU before.

The chain all get reincarnated as Harry Potter. All of them. Like DID/MPD. They wake up as ‘themselves’ rather than ‘Harry Potter’ after an accident a few years or so before he turns 11. And all of them remember the the years of being ‘Harry Potter’ before the accident, whether or not the memories are vague. They regain their abilities/curses/items/whatever, but it takes years. Also, when they finally learn to separate, they can only do so for a small amount of time before the need/pull to be together appears, and gets worse the longer they’re apart. The more they do it, the longer it takes for the feeling to appear, like training a muscle I guess. Shadow might also be there as their shadow(as in he has his own body, separate from the chain). You can add the other’s shadows as well, but they’d be stuck as one person as well. Also, they may or may not start out with, like, amnesia or something. Their personalities are still there, and they instinctively recognize each other, but remembering their past is hard, because it’s so blurry that you can’t make most anything out. That also clears up over the years. Oh, while they all get sorted into gryffindor(what with being the heroes of courage), the hat also secretly sorts each of them into a secondary house, due to curiosity.

This idea was sort of based on a Harry Potter/MLP:FIM crossover where the mane six wake up in Harry’s body after an accident. The only thing they know about themselves is their names. They end up legally changing their name from Harry Potter to System Baker after being adopted.

How about a 3 way crossover, ay? DC, DP, & LOZ

Danny has gotten into a habit, of well, not exactly mapping out the Realms, but also sort of mapping out the Realms. There’s a pattern to how things move around, like planets’ revolution around the sun. At least as long as no one moves their lair purposely. But he’s figured out the pattern, which means he can explore a lot more if he times things right!

Which is how he ended up finding this crazy world full of so much fun stuff, and he just had to bring his friends, y’know? And his new friends (one of which might not talk but is expressive and easily gets their point across) is so fun too!

They even all have matching ears, though it seems to be natural for Link while theirs is well, ecto-contamination related. But still, go Team Elves! And Link shows them all the really cool stuff and they introduce them to their friends- several of which are ghosts themselves, which is sweet!

And of course, they need to show him (and his ghosts) around the Realms too! Maybe they can even get his ghost friends to be visible to others so they can say hi to their still living friends too! (Link, Link no, don’t challenge Fright Knight to a spar-)

Everything is going great, they’re having fun! Zelda is going a little feral in learning all this stuff about other worlds and the Realms and everything. Link is enjoying eating everything and sparring and just generally exploring. It’s fun!

And then the stupid natural portal had to ruin it! Look, if one person falls through, they’re all going. Team Elves for the win after all! And hey, more minds mean more chances to get back. They all have their lives to deal with, they can’t stay forever… probably. Clockwork is probably helping with pausing time if the sticky note is anything to go by.

But they were having fun- oh wait, this is a vacation? Vacation from prophecies and ghost attacks and everything? Well why didn’t you say so! Alright guys, continue. Let’s explore even more!

I was seized with this text for my Zelda Trek crossover au while showering so here you go. If this gets more than 5 notes maybe I'll actually write the whole thing one day

Captain's log, stardate (something in DS9 S3) We have been picking up on unusual energy readings from a planet just outside of the Wormhole. An equivalent distance away from the wormhole as Bajor is on our side of the alpha quadrant. These energy readings are highly unusual and might indicate an intelligent pre-warp civilization. Starfleet command has requested that we investigate the activity on this planet as soon as possible.

In order to find out more about their technological capabilities, peoples, what stage of technical and political development they are at, and how close they are to warp travel, I have sent a small investigation team to the planet, consisting of Lieutenant Dax and Dr. Elizabeth Kamatic, a first contact specialist from Starfleet command.

...

Captain's log, stardate (a little while later). Lieutenant Dax has reported some particularly interesting findings. Apparently, this planet is made up of several isolated geographical regions populated by four major sentient species. There is some kind of silicone based, rocklike life form, who appear to be inhabiting warm volcanic regions. There is a race of bird-like people who occupy the higher altitudes and more frigid climates. There are some semi-aquatic beings, akin to fish or cetaceans, reminiscent of the old Earth myth of mermaids. Lieutenant dex has been unable to confirm.

Finally, there is a race of humanoids similar in appearance to humans or vulcans. Lieutenant Dax made mention of their elongated pointed ears, but in all other respects they seem to resemble humans. Lieutenant Dax stated that there appear to be several separate ethnic groups of these humanoids, though more research is needed to determine what these differences are.

The incompatibility of each species within each other's habitats seems to have made for relatively peaceful coexistence, fostering rich trading networks. Dr. Kamatic has found very little evidence for any kind of armed conflict between the races and they seem to get along amicably with minimal xenophobic prejudice.
