So uh... anyone else think Leif’s paralogue is some bullshit? The snipers using ballistae are just RIDICULOUSLY strong. I don’t have a single unit that can withstand two attacks in a row (including my freaking GENERAL) so the wrong placement by itself could be deadly, and literally ALL of my healers would die if they’re in range of just one of them! Plus they’re bulky enough that no one is able to kill them from afar with Lyn’s Astra Storm. It doesn’t seem like engaging Ike reduces damage from ballistae either.

As if that weren’t bad enough the computer goes full Cheating Bastard on you and the enemy mages have WAY more range on their staves, so they can silence or freeze or break you from miles away.

IMO the recommended level for this is WAY too low. I have three other maps of the same level to do (two other paralogues & the next story chapter) and I’ll STILL be scared to return to it.

My last ask I talked about people not appreciating Thracia enough, and in addition to that I think people don’t appreciate its characters enough either. For example, August is like, one of if not the best tactician in fire emblem. He’s a pragmatist and ready to set a young and inexperienced Leif straight without being an asshole. He denies the importance of dying for honor, and even though he was only there at first because he was ordered to be by Lewyn, Leif’s abilities as a leader made him stick around and got him a job as Leif’s advisor post-game. It really warmed my heart to see him kind of turn from a jaded guy who was skeptical of Leif’s underdog self and his ragtag army to a great tactician of a whole liberation army, proud of his like adopted son Leif for growing into an admirable leader with his advice…

I’m glad he made it into heroes, he deserves a lot more recognition for being such a cool guy and amazing tactician. I also hope Dryas gets in soon because they’re boyfriends and should kiss. Toxic old man Yaoi ❤️

Welcome to the Dead Guy Death Match Elimination Round!

Due to the broad nature of death as a concept, most of the submitted characters only received a few votes each causing a massive tie. I figured the fairest way to sort out this issue would be to hold an elimination round to let you guys vote on who you want to make it into the bracket.

There will be two elimination rounds the first of which will start on Monday the 3rd of April at 3pm BST and the second will start on Saturday the 8th of April at 3pm BST.

Elimination Round 1 will feature polls of 5 or 6 unrelated characters (all of the matchups were generated randomly) for you to vote on. The lowest voted character will be eliminated and all of the remaining options will progress to the bracket.

Elimination Round 2 will feature polls of differing numbers of characters from the same or similar media and only the highest ranked character among them will progress to the bracket, all of the others will be eliminated.

Both sets of polls will last 24 hours.

I've tried my best to only include official images for all of the characters on the polls but I'm not familiar with every series listed so, when the polls go up, if you notice I've used a fanart or cosplay image without permission or credit please let me know and I'll add credit and correct it for any future appearances of that character.

As for the basics:

    Tusk is a Tree Person living in The Unending Forest, always found within The Unlight. The Tree People are a species of Humanoid trees that mind their own business and keep to the forest. They are a peaceful people unless disturbed, in which they will return the favor. The Tree People tend to be traders, craftsmen, scholars, mages, alchemists, and blacksmiths. They are widely known throughout The Unending Forest and are also regarded for being in tune with the forest itself.

    Tusk is a loner and a sullen mage. He prefers to spend his time wherever he can be alone, usually to sleep or ponder his thoughts. He is always well hidden, being difficult to find. Of course, his family members always know where he is. He was not always like this, however. Something happened that altered the way he views things, leading to a somewhat jaded outlook on life. It does not help that things are fairly calm in the forest, but recent events forcing him to act may just be what he needed...

Tusk was originally a homebrew Dungeons & Dragons character, but then I made him "original." Eventually I scrapped the story I was writing for him and shelved him... UNTIL ULTRAMAGIC PRELUDE CAME ALONG. That's when he got rebooted and updated.
