Levi Ackerman liked to consider he wasn't of the jealous type. Why would he be jealous ? He had complete trust in his partner , and he knew that, despite him not being the perfect boyfriend, Y/n would never leave him, at least for someone else.
But somehow, Levi sometimes found himself feeling something close to jealousy, but not quite like it. It was more like possessiveness and a need to protect Y/n from ill-disposed men. He knew she could take care of herself , but he couldn't stop himself from running to her side whenever a men got a bit too close to his liking. Levi, after growing up in the underground, knew men well, and he couldn't trust any of them except himself around Y/n.
His "jealousy" was subtle, unnoticeable to those who didn't know him well : it would be him suddenly having his hand on Y/n's back if an unknown men is talking to her, him giving her his jacket if he noticed that too many people looked at her. He would always keep close to Y/n if they were in public, ready to act if someone overstepped the line. He'd tell people off if they talked badly of her, giving cadets more duties and training if one wrong word on Y/n crossed their lips.
It wasn't as an intent to keep her to himself, but mostly as a way to protect her , protect her from having men think about her in an inappropriate way. It had took him so long to let someone into his life and heart, and he didn't want to risk seeing them get hurt when he had the power to stop this. Maybe Y/n didn't like seeing Levi acting like that, or maybe they did, but all that mattered to him was to make sure she'd never be bothered.

Chapter 3: Welcome Home.
Levi continued to look at his future wife with interest, attempting to read her emotions that are scattering through her brain. Normally, he could tell what girls that are looking at him are thinking. Sometimes he sees fear, most of the time he sees lust and attraction, overly polite and trying too hard to please him. Though when he looks at Asuna, he can't tell what she is thinking. He guesses it might be fear, confused at her inevitable future, one thing he could tell, is that she wasn't fond of him in the slightest.
She wondered what would happen if she didn't walk out of that house when Levi arrived, it was fairly late in the afternoon. It was about the time where she is supposed to head to the nearby market to pick up dinner for her and her dad. If she went there instead, everything would turn out differently. God, if she had only just did that, she cursed herself under her breath. She felt like an idiot. If she was going to become the Queen of the Walls, how was she supposed to manage making the right decisions in her life?
Harrison couldn't handle it anymore, he wiped the coming tears from his eyes and walked away, grabbing his basket that he was holding before he showed up. Attempted to go back to continue to what he was doing around the estate.
Dan wanted to do the same, but he knew that his daughter needed him most at this very moment, if he walked away, she would feel more alone than she feels like she has been for most of her life. He shouldn't have been so distant towards her, he shouldn't have chosen a bottle of liquor over her, he shouldn't have caused the outcome of owing a tremendous amount of money to the King just for his daughter to have to pay the price. He contemplated changing his mind and telling Levi that he can't take her and just to take him instead, to get on his knees and beg Levi for forgiveness and to please not take his only kid away from him. But he couldn't, it was too late, Levi was not going to change his mind. And with that, he went up to his daughter who still was holding onto Levi's hand with unease.
She turns to look at him. She is no longer crying, just an expressionless look on her face that he also couldn't interpret. Levi allows them to have a moment to themselves and backs off, turning around to talk to Erwin and his other men who accompanied him on this trip that led to an unexpected turn of events. Dan grabs his daughter's hand and led her to their front porch to talk in more privacy. He didn't know what to say at first, he stood there with his mouth hung open with the hope that she doesn't think that he never cared for her.
"You are going to be okay," He breaks the silence. "I don't want you to think for one second that I am doing this because I want to, if it was my choice, I would make it my life purpose to pay every dime I owe to him, but clearly, that's not an option."
Asuna didn't say anything, just continued to listen to her father's sad attempt at trying to make her feel better.
"You're strong, the strongest girl I've ever known. I don't know how you managed to become the woman you are. Your mother, was weak and a coward, and that's why she left. And me? You have not met any of your other family members because I refused to acknowledge they exist, because I am afraid. I mean look what you just witnessed? It came to the point where I chose to give you to Levi before I could even think of my head being removed from my body or worse."
Asuna's tears begin to form again. She doesn't think she has ever seen this side of her dad before. She wanted to speak up and argue, but there would be no point.
"You're going to make an amazing queen." Dan attempts to finish. "And... just remember that I love you, more than anything, I may have been a shitty father, but from the person I can see before me, the person you've become, I feel like I must have done something right."
And with that, Dan takes his daughter in his arms and embraces her. It takes her a few seconds to hug back, but soon she does. She silently cries quietly into his shoulder so that the man who will soon become her husband doesn't see her in such distress.
Asuna was a kind soul, all her life she never did any wrong to anybody, even with her mom that she barely remembers leaving and not attempting to ever have a relationship with her, she still thought that she deserved forgiveness. She forgave her dad for everything, she knew he was troubled and that perhaps this situation would inspire him to change for the better. Without her on the estate to help anymore, maybe he would finally step up and fix his life. And she believed he would, with ever bone in her body.
Asuna and her dad held onto the hug for what felt like several hours. She didn't know when she would see him again, or if she would ever see him again. Finally, the tall, blonde haired man with a Scout Regiment uniform on breaks the touching moment and speaks out.
"My Lady," Erwin calls out. Asuna was not used to that in the slightest, perhaps he is calling her that because she is now officially a 'lady.' Oh god, what are they going to call her once she marries Levi? The thought gave her chills down her spine, yet she was slightly curious. "The hour is growing late, we should get going back to Sina soon. If you need time to pack some things, now is the time to do so."
Levi continued to look at her. Arms crossed with his black blazer hanging over his shoulders, slightly leaning back against his horse, he waited patiently for her to get on with it, back her stuff, and get in the carriage to come with him. He eagerly wanted to get back to his castle and get her settled, dress her in the finest dresses, and show her off to the rest of the people who worked in the castle, and his subjects who desperately wanted to finally see him with a future queen. Eventually, she nods her head and proceeds to walk into the house to gather her things. Her dad doesn't follow her, he just nods his head at Levi and his men, sits back down on the porch chair where he normally lies in, and grabs the half full glass of whiskey that he had forgotten about from earlier.
Asuna goes upstairs and walks into her room and closes the door, finally having a moment to herself to process what is about to happen to her. She will no longer be finishing her day in this room anymore, she will no longer sleep in this bed anymore, she won't have to wake up and tend to her father's land anymore. For the first time in her life, her future and what she will wake up to every day was completely unknown.
After bottling up the emotions she felt inside for what felt like her entire life, she breaks down. She falls to her knees, palms covering her face and just cries. She attempted not to cry so loud so that anybody who may be listening and waiting on her will hear. Trying so hard to control her breathing and get control of herself, a few minutes pass by until she gathers herself, taking a deep breath as she grabs the suitcase that was laying underneath her bed, grabbed some of her dresses and soft cloth shirts and pants and put them in the suitcase.
After she finished packing her clothes, she grabs a couple photos of her and her dad, some with Harrison, and the only picture that she has of her mother. It was a picture of her and her mom when she looked about 2 years old. Her mother looked so happy in the picture, holding her kid tightly as she smiled and laughed. Asuna looks at the picture a little longer until putting it in the suitcase. Lastly, she puts on the necklace that her father gave her when she was around 5 or 6 years old. It was a small, round pearl colored, 24 karat pendant with golden rose designs around it. It is actually a locket, but she never got around to putting a picture inside of it, so she just kept the totem close to her as a reminder that she was lucky to be born with a family. She kissed the pendant around her neck and hides it under her dress.
"Taking your time?" a familiar voice says from behind her, startling her. She gasps and quickly turns around. Seeing no other than the man she is being forced to marry, Levi Ackerman.
"How long have you been standing there?" she replies, not answering his original question.
"Not long, I was checking to see what was taking you so long, it is going to get dark soon." he says, walking closer.
"Yeah, I was just, trying to gather as much as I could."
"Well, just letting you know that you don't need to bring much," he states. "Everything from clothes to daily things will be provided for you."
She didn't know what that meant. Is he going to provide her with new underwear and bras too? Might as well give her a few face and body while he was at it. She nods, zipping up her suitcase and attempting to take one last look at her childhood bedroom.
"Look," Levi speaks, which causes her to turn around to him with those glowing green eyes of hers that he was oddly attracted to so much. She eagerly waited for him to say what he was going to say.
"I know you didn't ask for this," he continues. "It is a really brave thing that you're doing trying to help your dad. I am attempting to process the fact you aren't doing this because you want to, but doing it out of the kindness of your heart to help somebody else-"
"You are not doing this for me either!" she interrupts. "You are doing this either because you have to, or you're trying to get back at my father..."
He doesn't know exactly what to say, knowing that she is slightly right. Not having to worry about finding a wife nor worrying about Dan Reiss anymore. But the thing that couldn't escape his brain about all this was he didn't have to do any of this, he could have just killed Dan and went on his merry way. He couldn't help but wonder why he was so intrigued by Asuna or why he made the impulsive decision to stop the execution of Dan and marry his daughter. Maybe one day he will find the answer to his question and impulsiveness, but right now, he's just going to follow his gut. Silently ignoring what she said, he takes a breath and continues his statement.
"...and with that, I respect you. More than you know. I won't ignore you, I won't hurt you, I won't be unfaithful to you. After today, you won't just be my fiancee, you will be my future queen. There is no way around it, and I know you are smart enough to remember that."
He grabs her hand in his like he did earlier, but this time squeezing it, he looks back up at her and gives a slight smile. For the short time she has known him, she hasn't seen him smile before. From what she can tell, he seems like a miserable and frustrated man. Given a duty that he did not ask for by the hands of his uncle. A duty that he sometimes pretended wasn't real. One thing that constantly hung over his head for years was the fact that he needed to get married. He needed to produce heirs to continue the Ackerman bloodline. Now finally, he doesn't need to worry about anything anymore.
She looks back down and nods her head. She was done processing it all, she was ready. And for the first time, she looks back up at him and gives Levi a soft smile, which warmed his heart a little. Picking up her suitcase and awaiting for his move so she could follow him. With that, Levi snaps his fingers and Asuna hears footsteps coming up the stairs. Suddenly, a man dressed in a Military Police uniform walks in and bows his head, reaching out his hand to Asuna's suitcase to grab it from her so she doesn't have to carry it. She has barely been Levi's official fiancee for an hour, and she is already being treated like royalty. She hands the man his suitcase as he carries it downstairs.
Levi, still holding onto her hand, lets go and steps aside so she can walk out first. "Come on, it's time to go, there is a carriage that you can ride in, it's about half a days ride from here, we should arrive by the late evening."
With that, she walks out and heads to the so-called carriage that awaits her. She walks out of the house from what she feels will be the last time. With Levi following her. When she walks out of the house, she glances to her left to see her father still sitting in his casual spot on the porch, with his glass of whiskey still in his hand that looks like it has been poured recently.
"I'll give you another minute to say goodbye." Levi says as he walks back to his horse, saddling it for departure.
Asuna looks at her father as he stands up to give her one last hug goodbye, with his glass of whiskey still in his hand. Stumbling to approach her due to his drunken state, he slurs his words and smiles "I'm so so sooo proud of you, you're going to do such great things."
As he tries to give her another hug goodbye, she slaps his arm away. With Levi turning to watch the whole ordeal in the distance. She refused to hug her dad at this point, she had already given him more hugs than he deserves at this point.
"Now that I am not going to be here anymore to take care of things, I truly expect that you make sure that things stay managed around here," Asuna says with slight anger in her voice, and hopes that he will actually listen this time. "Cara, Fari, Gary, all of our kind workers and farmers that are nice enough to help tend YOUR land. And Harrison, you better treat him like he's your own and don't take his loyalty for granted." she finishes.
Dan looks down and nods smiling, secretly proud of himself for raising such a strong and brave woman. She wasn't his little girl anymore, she was a grown woman who was soon going to be the next Queen of the Walls.
"Can you do that for me?" She continues due to his silence. "Can you promise me, dad?"
"Yes, honey, of course." He replies after a couple seconds. "I will do better, I promise."
She breathes a sigh of relief. Smiling and looking at her dad for what will probably be for a long time, before she walks off to start her new life, she grabs the glass of whiskey that he was still holding in his hand and smashed it on the wood floor. Shocking Levi and everyone else who witnessed it.
With that, she walks towards the carriage. Most of Levi's men already setting off, with a few stragglers and of course, Levi himself waiting for her. Before she knew it, a woman who she recognized when the whole debt ordeal went on approached her with enthusiasm.
"Asunaaaaa!" the woman calls out to her, causing Asuna to stop in her tracks. "Sorry! I mean, My Lady!!! But soon to be my Queen! It is so nice to do the honor in being your subject, as well as your helpful guide to the start of your new life!" Hange holds out her hands and puts them in Asuna's, with such excitement and passion. It makes Asuna move back a bit with uncertainty.
"I'm Hange Zoe, I am a section commander in the Scout Regiment, as well as Levi's dearest frien-"
Levi interrupts Hange. "Oi! Shitty glasses, if you weren't aware, we need to get a move on. You can torture her with your constant talking on the ride there."
"Right, of course!" Hange looks back at Asuna and rolls her eyes at Levi's unnecessary comments, which makes Asuna chuckle a bit. "This way!"
Hange doesn't let go of Asuna's hand as she leads her to the carriage that awaited her. She let's Asuna go in first as she follows her. Looking out the window, Asuna sees that Levi has already gotten on his horse with his other men and took off, with a couple men staying behind to follow behind the carriage to protect it. Hange sits down across from Asuna and waits for her to process the fact that she is actually leaving.
"None of this seems real," Asuna breaks her silence.
Hange laughs. "Don't worry, sweet girl! This may be scary, but you seem like such a tough young lady that you can get through anything! Even if that means being taken away from your home and sold off to the the King of the Walls!"
It was understandable that Hange was attempting to make her feel better about the situation, but it occurred to Asuna that this woman didn't have a filter or any common sense of comfort in that regard.
"If you need anything at all," Hange continues. "You can always come to me!"
Asuna smiles at her and nods. Silently thanking her for offering to be there for her. As the carriage begins to depart, she looks back one last time at her home. Tears attempt to form in her eyes but she stops them. She sees her father still standing there from where she smashed his glass of whiskey, looking and waving goodbye until going back and sitting down on the rocking chair on the front porch. One thing that broke her heart a bit, was there was no sign of Harrison. She had not seen him since he stormed off in tears at the realization that she was leaving. He was her lifelong friend, an orphan who was taken under Dan Reiss' wing and became somebody she truly admired and cared for. It was valid that he was upset at this situation, but the least he could have done was bid farewell to her. But instead, there was no sign of him as she left.
Hange talked for almost the entire carriage ride to the castle within Wall Sina. She brought up the beauties of the castle and all of the stores and places to explore within Sina. How delicious the food is and how talented the chefs within the castle are. Hange also brings up how they are struggling to find a solution towards the titans that surround the outside of the walls, she almost seemed enthusiastic about the titans and what kind of purpose they hold in this world. Hange goes on to state how pampered Asuna is going to be considering she will be the Queen, how there will be countless girls who will wish they would be her, how amazing the libraries are within the castle and the gardens that surround it.
She was really intrigued at the thought of the gardens that Hange mentions, maybe that can be her means of escape when she needs it. She loves being surrounded by the scent of roses, lilies, and the fresh air of true nature. Considering she is now going to live in a crowded town within a so-called big castle without any grasp of the open fields she was always used to, the thought of the gardens excited her.
Asuna tried to close her eyes to get some rest and free her mind from anymore stress, but before she knew it, Hange was waking her up to inform her that they have arrived. It was dark outside at this point, she collects herself and accepts, finally getting to see for herself what will be her future. Hange steps out of the carriage first, and before Asuna can step out herself, Levi is there right outside to helps her down from the carriage. She takes his hand and steps out, attempting to get familiar with her surroundings, but processing it seemed almost impossible to her.
She looks up to see a monstrous castle that stood above her, with guards standing at every angle. It was beautiful, but intimidating. A large pathway leading to a large entrance to the castle stood before her, with torches lighting up most of the area so that she would see what was in front of her, the pathway looked like it was miles away. Before she knew it, bells rang from every inch of the crowded city, most likely to signal the arrival of the new Queen. Her heart raced so hard, she tried so hard not to shake and show the fear that lingered within her. Instead of showing the true fear that she kept inside, she held her head up high and looked back at Levi. He held out his hand for her to grab it, in which she instinctively did so. He spoke up so that she didn't have to.
"Welcome home."
[Yes, I went slightly overboard with the word count (which is 3.7k) but I envisioned this chapter to end the way it did and I hope it kept your attention! stay tuned!]

How to handle them
|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|
How would you be able to date Levi?
-
In the beginning, he definitely will always be there for you, but at the same time, he really isn't affectional. So you have to deal with it even if you dislike it.
He's touch deprived so he really wouldn't do hugs or kisses, hold hands.
He also is definitely not much of a talker, but he does need a bubbly partner to pop his bubble.
At some point if you make him come out of his comfort zone, he definitely will talk more, and tell you about his old past.
It would start off slow, but then slowly he will rise up, and talk about Furlan and Isabel. Then he will talk about his underground time. Then Kenny, then his mother. So basically he's telling you all of the recent ones before the last ones.
He definitely wouldn't want your opinion on it, he doesn't want you to comfort him as much as you would think. He probably just wants you to listen, then drink tea with him.
At some point, he will become more different then he was in the beginning.
He will make jokes with you, let out small laughs, smile just a bit (mostly for you). He also will sing with you if the song is actually okay.
Levi definitely is protective, so you really will be in his mind during the battles and what not. He also will probably make sure your near whenever and however.
You, cannot, be, bad, at, fighting! He will not always be there to protect you, so you need to be able to protect yourself. So... That means...
Levi will train you his self almost every single chance he gets. In less than 2-4 months, you will be the next humanity strongest. (Kidding.)
Anyway, as Levi's partner, you will have to get use to his language. He does cuss any chance he gets especially when hes angry.
You will definitely be the most luckiest person in his squad. No matter how many times you mess up, he's gonna forgive you or not say anything and fix it himself.
Levi is a loverboy at heart but he will never show that outside, hes not into PDA.
You cant hold his hand outside your room, his room, and his office. Youll have to get reallyyy use to that.
But, when behind closed doors, hes not that lovey dovey, but when it comes to night, it is the best night.
He is always cuddling you, wether hes the big spoon, or small spoon. He really doesnt mind as long as you are besides him.
He will kiss you a lot when hes comfortable and behind a close door. He's not scared to grab your chin and kiss you while you two are both working on paperwork.

---
Hanji sat with a heavy heart beside the only person she had left in her life. By now, it was hopeless. The sounds of a nearby explosion that didn't go unnoticed by her intuition and the guttural feeling in her stomach that plunged down in abyssal depths was enough for her to know that something had gone terribly wrong – and it did.
Levi laid next to her on the makeshift bed that she had constructed for him as soon as the Yeagerists were off their radar. She knew that there wasn't much time and for her to find a way to message you about your nearly dying lover and it had her in a quiet rage and frustration. Overtaking Erwin's position as commander was more than enough hell than she could manage, but with everything gone to shit and the military in the hands of the rebelling soldiers, she had felt as though there was nothing left for her or anyone else.
Levi was battered from head to toe, cuts that ran deeper than he had ever experienced in his lifetime. Two fingers blasted off along with the loss of his eye, wasn't even what hurt him the most – It was the fact that he was breaking on the inside at the thought of having to leave you all alone. You were supposed to be Mrs. Ackerman as soon as the war had ended, but now the ring on your finger was going to be a mere reminder of what was once to be. He so desperately wanted to see you for the last time, to hold you for the last time, to kiss you for the time, to tell you 'I love you' for the last time... He was ridiculed by the guilt of his own miscalculations for letting his guard down to the shitty bastard whom he swore to obliterate for Erwin. He promised – but now he couldn't do anything about it.
Above all the physical pain, his mind could only drift to your beautifully crafted hair that he loved to weave his fingers through on the days where it only consisted of the two of you in his bedroom or the way your smile completely intoxicated his life, not wanting to miss it for the world. The way your body molded with his and how much passion he held not just with his actions, but words as well (though it took him a great amount of time to get used to). He would whisper sweet nothings in your ear as the peak of your ecstasy would reach, following his right after. He loved every bit of you, from your kind and unwavered heart to the inches and curves of your body that consisted of all your perfect imperfections.
All in all, you were the best thing in his life. There wasn't anything in the world that he needed most than you.
You and him had been separated for more than a month due to the difference in your designated missions and he couldn't believe how he hadn't seen your beautiful face in so long. He wanted to cry and he didn't care if his pitying expression was going to be the last of what Hanji saw of him. She was his best friend and this was his parting goodbye to her.
"Hanji..." he mutters slowly, his breaths pitching inharmoniously as he sucked in each one with a wince of pain shocking through his body.
"Hey, don't talk now. You're in no shape to." she scolds, brushing her hand on his shoulder as she offers a smile but was obviously masking her internal pain that she couldn't show even in front of Levi. She wanted to be strong for him and especially for you. Turning his head in the slightest movement, his eyes were more than just half-lidded, almost like he was sleeping and his face was an uncomfortable shade of paleness that Hanji couldn't even recognize him anymore. His usual silky and tended locks were now tangled and drifted in messy directions. There was even a few spots in which patches of hair had burned off completely. Levi Ackerman was dying right in front of her.
"Where's... Y/n..." he asks quietly, hoping that what he was anticipating for was deemed to be what he wanted to hear. But, from Hanji's downcasted eyes, he knew that he was mistakened and wished he could just die right now. He thought it was meant to be like this, where you didn't have to see him in such a state that could traumatize you for the rest of your life, which would be the last memory you'd get of him. However, a part of him couldn't bare to die without you and this is certainly not how he imagined your love story to come to an end. Hell, you two weren't even finished writing it yet.
Every story comes to an end.
"I'm sorry Levi. I don't know how to reach her and I don't even know where she is."
"So... this-" Levi was interrupted by the shot of blood that arose in his throat, causing him to hack up violently and Hanji rubbed his back to hopefully ease the tensing of his wounds, but it did little to soothe him in the slightest. He groans, leaning back down and wiping the excess crimson off of his lips. He wasn't even fazed by how filthy he thought it was, he was going to die anyway. He inhales sharply and begins again, "...this is how it all ends. I don't even... get to see my future wife for the... last time." He closes his eyes again and shifts in his stiffened position, not accounting for the growing numbness that coursed through his legs and arms.
Hanji wanted nothing more than to see the two of you happy as husband and wife and she so looked forward to your wedding, seeing her grumpy best friend all fancied up for an occasion other than a noble party that wasn't in his favor to say the least. She wanted to see you walk down the aisle in the most elegant gown that highlighted your taste in fashion, which she genuinely admired, and to see you both lock each other's vows with a kiss at the alter.
Now, it was unforgiving in the way time had to be so cruel and it made her heart ache at how she was even going to face you when she does. She partially blamed herself for not being able to save a relationship that she cared about so much and Levi could feel that she was deteriorating along with him.
"Oi. Four eyes." he says, hoping that his teasing nickname for her was enough to pull her back to reality. She snaps her head at him, seeing that he was... smiling with the utmost emotion threaded in it and she couldn't help but be awe-strucked by his uncharacteristic approach, even if he was dying.
"Yeah?" she shakily answers back, the watering of her tears welled up in the corners of her eyes as she tries to hold it in as much as she could.
"T-Take care of... Y/n for me... O-Okay? And know... that nothing is your fault..." he whispers, misty eyes soon to be glassy as she looks at him with nothing but pure grief that became detrimental to her already broken state. She didn't know what else to say, but only see the way Levi's breaths were soon caving into death. Despite that, Levi still kept his smile to her that reassured the of things that couldn't be mended. He was only stalling at this point and waited until the pits of his time had come to an end. "And... tell her that I lo-"
"Levi!!!"
The sound of a voice that rang not only through Hanji, but also Levi. He knew that voice even if it came from a mile away, however this had been heard within a few feet from where they both stayed put and the calling of his name had him on the verge of whiplash. His neck could've been broken for all he cared... What did matter was the fact that you had found him and he needed to see you.
His eyes were now dilated and everything seemed to be slowed in how you ran at him and Hanji with the evident salty liquids streaming down your cheeks in the moonlight. You cried out for him as you stumbled and tripped over your own feet from the branches that tugged at your ankles. It seemed as if nature had also been against you and Levi, not sparing just a few seconds with him. You budged, your mind and body fighting everything that got in your way and your legs began to shake at how painful it became with each step. The muddiness of the ground along with the emotional shock of seeing Levi in a state that you absolutely feared would be his fate one day.
Today, was that day.
His hand was losing feeling, with all the pins and needles flooding through his draining veins, but he still reached out to you in the most slurred way, needing to have your hand with his, even if he couldn't feel it 100%. You crashed next to him, your eyes soaked in drenching tears as you couldn't believe what you were witnessing. His entire body giving out, the man that didn't look like how he used to be... The man that you love was dying and you loved him to no end.
Your heart beated so achingly loud, that it wasn't how it beated whenever you and Levi made eye contact like two teenagers in love or how he made you feel after an intense night of passion. It was to the point of where you could've died with him. Hanji had given you two the time and space that you needed, singling out into the darkness of where the forest extended. This was when she let herself go, screaming and kicking everything in her path and you could hear her unrelenting behavior from where you sat as you kept Levi's hand in the palm of yours, holding it close to your heaving chest.
From the time you arrived with no other thought than your fiancé, Levi was on brink of being speechless and he mentally cursed at himself as he could only watch and hear your muffled wails and the distant cries of Hanji's. Your head was bowed, not allowing to see how this was the love of your life, barely moving or speaking. You wanted to hear his cheeky and dry comments that felt like a broken record which you'd never get tired of listening to, or the husk of how his voice was lowered a few octaves and it always seemed to comfort you in all the right ways. You wanted to hear anything from him really and it was deeming to be difficult just listening to the rustling of leaves or how the wind howled past your ears. Silence was reoccurring between the two of you and you welcomed it greatly, but now it was deafening to not hear a single word come from Levi at all.
You were now trembling and your body shook with brutal panic, losing all sense of composure as you fall apart right in front of him.
"Shh... Don't... Cry."
Your head lifted immediately and with how Levi mustered enough strength to give only a few words was incredulous to you, but you wouldn't dare push him to speak if it caused him an unbearable amount of pain than he already was in. Levi didn't mind however, he had long forgotten about the welling aches of his body now that you were right where he could see you. Though, he wasn't pleased with how distressed you looked and the tears that never stopped its stream on your face.
You were his strength, keeping him on this earth for little longer and he figured that's why he hadn't died just yet. His hand lightly squeezed yours in an attempt to let you know he was going to be with you until the very end, but you didn't want there to be an end at all.
If anything, you wanted to die with him if it meant being with him forever. He can't leave you.
"Levi... Please hold on okay? I need you to keep it together. I promise I'll get whoever did this to you." you say firmly, hoping that whatever you were saying had registered through him in an understanding capacity. If anyone had to be responsible for hurting your love, you were clouded with the face of someone who you despised more than what you could hate and it set off a blazing anger that laid dormant in your sub-conscience.
"Y/n. I'm so sorry... I never wanted this to happen. You're... the best thing... that has ever... happened to me..."
You were so greedy for him and you couldn't just let him slip past you as if he was glass. You would do anything to reverse the time and you never could've imagined this happening in the first place.
You were going to be alone.
"Levi!! Please! I can't do this without you! I need you so much... Don't leave me." You practically begged on your knees, not finding the rhythm of your hysterical breathing.
"We were supposed to do this together right?"
Taking in a breath and what seemed like the last few he'd ever take again he spoke inaudibly but coherent to your ears, "You know that... I... would never... leave you my beloved... I love you... so much..." With the remaining strength he had left, he kissed your finger that held an encrusted ring on it.
A farewell to a promise he wished he could've fulfilled.
And with that, Levi took his last inhale of air. He was gone.
You looked down at him, your heart and mind not able to contain the uncontrollable dam of tears that was soon to burst. His hand was abnormally cold from the inside out and the one eye that hadn't been bandaged, looked right at you with death drawling in his pupil. His hair curtained parts of his face adding along with the disheveled form of his lifeless body that laid inches away from you.
"Levi? Hey c'mon... Wake up please." You frantically command, repeatedly tapping his arm that did nothing but remain stilled at his side. You were too much in your head and emotions to believe he was really gone and though you knew all too well that he was, it didn't stop you from pleading him to wake up from his never-ending slumber. "Don't do this to me! It was us against the world! Please Levi!!"
It did nothing to wake him.
You tried so hard to keep yourself intact but with the amount of emotional torment that your lungs and heart held, it was just too great for you to hold in. You wanted to scream, kill, cry, collapse – though, you knew that would contribute to nothing but prevent you from achieving what promise you had deep within you.
You wouldn't let Levi's death become something less of what it was worth. His death won't be meaningless along with the fallen of your comrades and squad. For as much as you wanted to see them smile at you again someday, you couldn't even imagine it happening if nothing was to be done.
Despite the only bit of hope you had left for yourself, you couldn't help but wallow and bawl all your anguish over the body of your dead lover. You wanted him to caress your cheek, run his slender fingers through your hair, to comfort you in the ways he knew how. Your hoarse cries and screams shook the air around you, the weight in your chest becoming unbearable and your tearstained eyes slowly turning bloodshot was all a testament to how weak you felt. You were a strong-willed woman, fearing nothing but only the coming deaths of your loved ones and upon witnessing another after another until it came to the man whom you swore to spend the rest of your life with, had broken your limits.
You lost a part of yourself and nothing could ever mend what was now broken.
Hanji came rushing past the trees when she knew what had been bound to happen and she clung onto your shaken body, trying to put an end to your physical outburst. You felt her shushing you like a mother would to her child and she began to rock you in her arms, just like how Levi would whenever there came a time like this... She had been crying on your shoulder, not wanting to accept that one of the only people she really had left was gone as well. It was a grieving moment for the two of you as you had lost the same person dear to your hearts, who had made his print on history and in your lives.
"I know Y/n... Just let it out..." She says in a hushed tone, locking her arms around your body and continued to cry over you.
You could barely respond – just as much as you couldn't even cry anymore, you were drained of any tears that trailed down your cheeks and were left to dry bitterly on your face while you kept your eyes on Levi the whole time. It was so brutal to not hear him speak anymore, let alone to not hear him breathe or the thumps of his heartbeats that became your favorite lullaby.
Your hyperventilated breaths had lessened with the warmth of Hanji's consoling and while you felt like you had lost everything, you were thankful for her presence and how you cherished her as one of your best friends. If it weren't for her, Levi would have been left to die in the hands of the Yeagerists and that wouldn't be a very fitting end for him.
From within your angered depths, you curled your fingers into your hands and your nails dug crescent shapes into your skin, teeth gritting as your awakened rage began to overpower you, "Hanji." the chill you sent down her spine gave her an idea that you were itching to gut out the person who had taken your precious away and she batted an eye to you, shocked at the upturn in your emotions. "If my senses aren't wrong, it was that bearded face bastard who's responsible for this isn't it." you ask menacingly, and it unsettled her at how alike you were to Levi. She didn't see it as something negative, but it made her realize how much of a match you two really were.
Loosening her hold on you, she nods curtly with a frown etched on her face. That was all you needed to hear. Promptly arising from the ground, you sharply inhaled at the cold air and shivered at how it grazed under the layers of your clothes.
"Y/n?"
"Levi didn't die for this shit-eating asshole to get away with it. Not him or Erwin or anyone who has lost their lives in the Corps. I'm finishing this once and for all." you state with an unyielding force of your voice. There was nothing else that you owed but your heart. The vow that Levi had secured with Erwin wouldn't go unchanged and you were prepared for whatever or whoever you had to face.
Turning over to Levi's body that had been long gone, you crouched beside him and allowed your fingers to trace above the bandages that covered his scarred and stitched face. Eyes half-lidded and empty, you lean forward to peck his forehead and Hanji watched mournfully as you give the last of your love to him before he was left to rest in the abyss of the ground.
"I can't leave him Hanji..." you say in a broken whisper, your head ducked from looking back at her as she had felt all the same.
"Me too Y/n. But, we need to get moving. As soon as we find a spot to bury him, we need to regroup with the others. Floch is probably on our asses as we speak." You couldn't deny her and in spite of your stubbornness to let him go, you had duties as a soldier and doing nothing would benefit anyone.
Stepping away from Levi's corpse, Hanji brushes past you with the same dull eyes as you and begins to wrap his body in the sheets that covered his lower body. The last you'd ever see of Levi Ackerman was beyond painful and in seeing how every part of his body was now out of your sights, it caused a tug at your chest that you would never forget. You will never forget the longing and heartache of what was your life and with this being the final moments that you will ever see of him again, the tears afflicted you once more.
His body now being completely wrapped in the dirtied and bloody covers, she lifts his body and jerks her head in the up head direction. You trailed behind Hanji slowly, your feet dragging along the ground that somehow felt as if every step you took was holding you back further and further away. The gap seemed to widen and you might as well had thought your mind was playing tricks on you, but when Hanji had called out your name, that was when you realized how far you really were. You hurried your pace and noticed that she had found the spot that seemed suited for Levi's burial. It was rather deep within the forest and a unique tree stump that coincidentally resembled a headstone.
You stood a few feet away from the sight and memorized every part of your bearings, not leaving a single tree branch or flower unnoticed. If ever you survived the war, this is where you would build a home that was originally promised between you and Levi. You shakily breathe in, remembering how much it was a lasting fantasy between the two of you and now, it was going to be something that you had to face alone. You became lost in your thoughts as Hanji continued to bury Levi in the ground and inch by inch became more searing to her heart as she kept on digging.
By now, Levi was fully covered in the ground and with a tap of Hanji's hands on the dirt, she stabbed his bloodied sword into the bed of the earth as a sign of where he now laid. Along with Hanji, you took one last look with her and turned away from the heartbreaking sight that was your lover's grave.
"See you later my love." you choke out as Hanji pulled you to her side as your unfinished tears made its presence down your face. She comforted you for however long you needed and until you were numbly sitting out by the fire, she never let you go. You stare vaguely into the crackling flames that burned against the wood and from how silent the nature had become, it was almost too silent for your liking.
Your mind had been long gone and blank from your over-running thoughts that seemed to be unstoppable and all you could think about was Levi. The light in your eyes were now clouded by darkness and the corners of your heart ached with more force than you could imagine. You hated every second of not being with the one person you wanted to be with for the rest of your life and your body felt more colder, alone.
Something tapped at your shoulder and the fact you didn't even register the slight touch was beyond concerning for when Hanji didn't get a reaction out of you.
"Y/n."
You flinch at the sudden voice, being drawn out of your thoughts and dragged back onto the grounds of reality. You turn to her slowly as she simply smiles indefinitely and grabs a hold of your hand to lead you away from the fire for a moment. You didn't question her or anything at this point as you were too emotionally tired from how much you had to endure at this point.
She detaches herself from you as she reaches for what seemed to be a cloak – a Scout cloak. It was tattered and ripped all over, stained in crimson that contrasted with the moonlight and darkened sky. You lift your head to see Hanji gesturing for you to take it as you almost instantly realized that it had been Levi's.
Your hands met the evergreen fabric, skimming your hands over the tarnished emblem and you catch the smell of something that was remarkably Levi, had been integrated deep in it. Memories began to flood back and it was undeniably the worst feeling you had ever felt in your life.
You bury your face in it, feeling yourself get heavy from how much the pain continued to linger and you knew that it would last for as long as you lived.
Hanji rubbed your back and spoke softly while you mourned shamelessly beside her, "His jacket is also here. I'll leave it to you okay?"
You nod against her, never tearing your eyes away from the material that you still held onto unapologetically and your heart burned from how much you missed him. You missed Levi terribly.
"We need to get going Y/n. Once we find the others, you should get some rest okay?"
"Yeah... okay." you agree quietly and clung onto the only thing you had left of Levi to your chest. In all honesty, you felt as if he was right there with you, watching over you and Hanji. It was all that reminded you of his warm and tender embrace that secured your body to his and from this, it was enough for you to continue to move forward.
You knew you had to – for him, for you, for humanity.

starlight.
short, fluffy, levi ackerman oneshot ahoy (mentions of loss, trauma, smut):
He stared at you while you slumbered, the light of the waning moon softly bristling through the windows. Truth be told, he’d been staring at the starry sky, so clear, so beautiful, a reminder that life moved on, that the world moved on, despite the many losses and encumbering moments that had marked him forever. Sometimes, his mind was utter chaos, remembrances of the departed singing their lullabies through the gaps he was currently mending.
But then you’d snored. Loudly. It wasn’t unusual, mind, but it was always, without fail, such an adorable quirk of yours that he loved to enjoy. No one knew of this, not even yourself. Meant you were in deep sleep, finally relaxed after a tiring few weeks. And, well, after the exhausting night you’d had… He smirked when the delicious thoughts crossed his memory, eclipsing, for the time being, his more somber thoughts.
Fingers danced across your back in hushed motions, ghosts of traces that were barely there, barely felt. You were such a fragile thing, a most precious human being. He was afraid that one day, perhaps, he would lose you too. Afraid every time he touched you that he would somehow manage to break you. If he recalled correctly, he’d mentioned it to you once.
You had smiled. Not out of pity, no. But a genuine, heartfelt, smile that seemed to say, try me fool. Silent encouragement if he ever heard something like it. Saw something like it. Logically, he knew you were strong, so strong. Carried a weight the world could never ponder. Know of. And even though your fights had been entirely different, life had been equally unforgiving for you. You’d endured so much. How could he still call you fragile?
Fear could do that to a man, he supposed. He vowed he would keep working on it, though.
His hands settled on your hip, visible from the tossing and turning you’d been doing, sheets tangled across your legs. His thumb absentmindedly glided over and around it, his eyes following a different path altogether. Across your back, to your neck, hair tangled in a messy bun. You were life incarnate. A gift, perhaps, he didn’t deserve. But one he’d selfishly welcomed into his fold. It had been quite silent before he met you despite the remnants of people that still lingered around. He supposed he was grateful there even were people to still be there. People that knew of, and shared, his grief. People that understood.
You, the breath of fresh air he’d sorely been craving.
He got closer to you, pulled you closer to his warmth, kissed that bed of hair softly, reverently. Held you tight, never wanting to let go. He would love and cherish you for the rest of his life however he could, beyond grateful that he’d even come across such a heavenly existence in this oftentimes dark world. A miracle, some might say.
His miracle.
His world.
Soft wind blew through the open balcony doors, the curtains swaying gently. His lips just as gentle sliding across your shoulder, your neck. He wanted to bask in your taste forever. Your scent just as alluring as the flavors that met his tongue. You groaned softly, a tease of the noises that often came out of you, a byproduct of his touch. His fervent hunger ever the starved beast for you. Of you.
Always craving you.
He ought to let you rest.
But you moaned so sweetly in your sleep, opened up so beautifully to his touch, how could he resist?
His beautiful gift. His beautiful world. His one reminder that life could be more than the past. More than the present.
His future.
end.

ANOTHER SHORT ONE.
Levi had sent me a 10 minute audio of something without any follow up text but listen to it. I turned my audio up all the way up and played it. A faint mumbled “Fuck.” Came from the audio and I quickly turned it off and called him. “Did you just send me an audio of you masturbating?” I asked. “Did you finish the entire thing?” He asked me completely disregarding my question. “No. Why would I li-” he hung up the phone and texted me. ‘I told you to listen to it.’

Levi Ackerman had realized one thing : he wasn’t good at dealing with emotions. Or, to be more exact, he wasn't good at dealing with positive emotions ; he knew how to handle anger, knew sadness like an old friend , but when it came to love and happiness,he was completely helpless.
Levi had became a master in hiding and covering his emotions over the years, but all the hard work he'd put into this seemed to vanish whenever Y/n was around, whenever he felt these positive emotions he wasn't used to. He couldn't explain it, didn't understand why he seemed to lose all control over himself ; the stone faced, cold hearted Levi Ackerman becoming a flustered and blushing mess if Y/n did so much as look at him.
It was somehow driving him mad , because he'd thought he knew himself , but Y/n had threw everything he'd ever learned away, making a new side of him appear,a side he couldn't seem to master,a side he didn't understand, a side too good for a man with so much blood on his hands. He didn't know if he liked feeling like this ,he didn't know if he deserved to feel like this.
But he was willing to give these emotions a try. He was willing, for once, to let something good happen to him. Levi Ackerman had only known misery until Y/n, and if they were his only chance of catching a glimpse of what beauty the world had to offer , he was willing to head into the unknown and let himself feel.

Chapter 2: Say Yes.
Erwin was wrong. He didn't know Levi at all. This was the first time since they've met that he was absolutely shocked at his actions. Same went for Hange, her eyes widened and her mouth hung open in shock. It wasn't just them though, the moment he said what he said, about marrying this small village girl who had no royal blood and not considered highborn, to become his wife, and his queen, everyone gasped, nobody had any words.
"Levi!" Hange shouted. "What are you talking about?"
He just looked at her with his common, stoic glare, not saying a word, silently looking at her to shut up and not question what he chose to say in front of anyone. She wasn't intimidated though, she trusted his judgment.
The one who was most shocked was the girl herself, Asuna, who almost collapsed on her feet while the man next to her kept her up right. The man, Harrison, held Asuna tight as she attempted to process what the King just said. She didn't react, she just stood there staring at the ground in complete shock, then looked back up at the King who had just asked for her hand in marriage. Harrison also looked up at Levi, with furious rage and anger, he was going to take her away, he was going to make her his, and it teared him up inside, knowing there was nothing he could do.
Dan Reiss, was almost as shocked as his daughter. His mouth clinging open as he stood in front of the King with disbelief. He took a second to figure out if this was real or if it was another one of his drunk imaginations getting the best of him, but it wasn't, this was real, this was really happening.
"I'm sorry, come again, Your Grace?" Dan asked, breaking the silence.
"You heard me," Levi answered almost immediately. "Do I have to repeat myself? I hate doing that."
"Answer him!" Asuna screamed at Levi in absolute shock. She looked like she was about to break down, with the unknown man still holding her as if she was dying. He felt a tad bit of jealously when he saw Harrison holding her like that, he didn't understand why, he didn't know her, after all.
Asuna put her hand over her mouth, trying to understand and attempted not to cry. Levi was a king, he was the most powerful man that humanity as we knew it had known. Countless rich and highborn girls were offered to Levi to be his wife, and all of them, he rejected. Angering the higher ups and his advisors, he continued to feast on girls who he didn't feel he needed to ever commit to, even though half of them managed to fall in love with him, despite his sadistic and lustful tendencies. And for the record, most of the girls he fucked were nothing but maids or the rich girls he met during business gatherings.
For years, it was like this, he refused his advisors at every turn when they prompted him to marry, for years, he constantly refused. Until now, asking a small village girl who was far from rich at this point, who thought she was a nobody and continued to live her simple life caring for her childhood home, is now being asked to be King Levi's wife.
"Dan Reiss, like I said, I will forgive your crimes. I will pardon all of the money you owe me that you don't have. I will not hold any grudges against you any longer, if you agree to let me have Asuna as my wife." Levi confronts. "I am not giving you an option to think it over, it is a yes or no question, you're smart enough, to know the outcome of both."
Yep, this is really happening. Dan closes his eyes and looks down. He didn't have much time to think about it. Though, he realized that it was either his life ending or his daughter becoming the Queen of the Walls. If he chose no, then he would be dead and he would not have any idea what would happen to his daughter or her future. He expected the worst, he feels like even if he was killed by Levi at this very second, Levi would take her anyway. He gives it a lot of thought for about a minute which to Asuna felt like hours. He would rather stay alive and pardoned for his crimes rather than not know what would happen to his only daughter. He had decided.
He turns to his daughter, who has gotten free from the grasp of Harrison and walks towards her dad and waits for his answer, small tears beginning to fall from her beautiful green eyes. He looks at her with sadness, as well as relief.
He knew Levi was many things, but a liar, he was not. If he was going to take Asuna's hand in marriage, he would do it, she would be his wife, his Queen, he would protect her and keep her safe from harm to the best of his ability. When she becomes Queen, she will almost have just as the same amount of power as him, as well as the same rights as him. He couldn't help but feel, deep down, this seemed like revenge. He felt as if Levi didn't care about his daughter any less than he cared about any of the other girls he led into his bedroom, this was punishment for his crimes. He couldn't shake the feeling that this was the only reason he was truly asking for Asuna. Though, despite all of this, it was an acceptable offer, but, knowing this, he may never see his daughter again, or barely, at all.
Levi breaks the silence once more and speaks up.
"Say yes."
This was a shock to everyone, he didn't know her. He didn't feel like he cared for her at all or ever will care for her like a husband is supposed to. She would have a new life, a new start, instead of being the caretaker of this large piece of land he owned, she would be the Queen. And after one short answer he would give to Levi, the Queen is what she would become.
"Honey..." Dan breaks his silence. "I'm sorry."
Asuna gasped loudly, tears running down her face as she screamed that perhaps the village next heard her. She felt betrayed, unwanted, but at the same time, she knew deep down that it was either this or her father's execution. She runs up to her father and grabs him by his shoulders. Levi just stands there without moving, continuing to look at this confrontation happening in front of him. He doesn't say a word, and he wasn't going to change his mind. He wanted her all for himself.
She holds him by his shoulders looking right into his eyes in denial not saying a word. She felt the same way he felt, she knew the outcome if he were to deny Levi's offer. He was either the death of her father or it wasn't. After a couple seconds of processing what was going to happen to her. She looks down and cries silently.
"Okay." she says in defeat.
And with that, everything changed. She knew she was about to leave her home and go with King Levi. This felt like a fever dream, she couldn't tell what her future was going to become nor what was in store for her. This world she lived in was huge. The walls she lived within were so unknown that she couldn't tell how large of a world she actually survived in. Wall Sina, Wall Rose, Wall Maria, soon, she would become the Queen of it all, and everyone who lived within them. She began to question everything about what she was going to become. As the Queen, would she just be merely a figurehead who is only known as Levi's wife? Or would she be able to truly make a difference to the kingdom? All of these thoughts continued to roam around her brain as she continued to process her fate. Before she knew it, everyone of Levi's men and guards had realized that they might finally have someone they can call Queen.
"NO!" the man who Levi didn't know the same of yet screamed as loud as he could. Asuna and Dan turned around and prompted him to stop, but he didn't. "You... can't...!" he begins to get emotional.
"Harrison, don't." Dan responds to him. "It is already done."
"You're name is Harrison, huh?" Levi intrudes on the feud. "Harrison, did you just say I can't?"
"Levi, let's not make this a harder situation than it already is." Erwin and Hange stop him.
Harrison, the man in question, finally realizes he actually couldn't do anything at all. All amount of protest would mean nothing. His boss was right, it was already done. Asuna was taken from his grasp at the blink of one permanent offer. He looks down, not looking at anything but the ground below him. Nodding and sighing in defeat. Though, if this man wasn't the King, Harrison would be grabbing and punching him until he was wheezing and coughing up blood on the ground. Even though in reality, Harrison wouldn't stand a chance against Levi.
Harrison absolutely hated what was happening, he never admitted it out loud or told anybody, but he loved her. Growing up together on Dan's estate, and him practicing his last name with Asuna's. He was waiting until they were official to ask her to marry him and run off with together to live their life, but now, all of those dreams were thrown out the window in a matter of a second. Asuna wasn't ever going to be his, she belonged to Levi now, the deed was done, it was over, and he had to cough it up.
Dan turns around and looks back at the King. "Yes, Your Grace, you can have my daughter's hand in marriage." he finally answers officially.
Levi looks up and sighs while smirking a bit, almost as if he was happy at Dan's answer. He tightly hugs his daughter as she cries on his shoulder, and as they turned around, they saw every one of Levi's acquaintances look at each other and nod, them too slowly realizing that this was really happening as well. With that, they all get down on their knees and kneel, laying their arms at their knees as they bow to their new Queen.
Asuna is stunned. All her father had to do was say yes, and now suddenly she is treated like a royal. It took one word, and that word was yes. Yet, she herself had no words. Softly wiping her tears away and accepting her new reality. She actually disliked what they were doing, she was no queen, she was just a simple farm girl who had no true line of royal blood, that she knew of, anyway.
She let go of her father and watched as everyone around her kneeled before her. Dan and Harrison both stepped back behind her with expressionless faces, but secretly, Dan was happy and relieved. Not because he was going to live to see another day, but that his sweet daughter was going to be the most powerful woman within the walls.
There was no point to this, she thought. There was no reason for them to be bowing to her, she didn't do anything,  she didn't prove anything to them. Finally coming to her senses, she looked up, stood tall, and glared at her future husband.
Levi walked toward her, not losing eye contact with her pretty eyes that he was captivated by from the moment he saw her. He takes her right hand in his, softly smiling at her as he kisses her palm then puts it down.
"It's truly nice to meet you, Asuna."
She doesn't respond back with a friendly greeting. Instead, she softly speaks. "Why me?" He looks at her and softly responds back, in a way that nobody around them could hear what he was saying to her.
"Not sure, actually. But we can't change the past now, can we?"
[Chap. 3 coming to Tumblr soon! I am also creating a master list that will most likely be up by chapter 5. Thank you:)]

drabble that suddenly had to come out of me no matter what
Aot finale spoilers, talks of scars and wounds, self-doubt
Tumblr media
“Do they ever hurt?” you ask softly, meeting his soft silvery eye with yours.
Levi shrugs unevenly in response, replying vaguely, “Sometimes I get phantom pains. Like they’re still there.”
Gently clasping his hand between yours, you bring his fingers to your lips, tenderly kissing all the little calluses and even the smooth, flawless skin at the tip of each of his fingers. You appreciate every little white knick of a healed scar, savoring the unique texture and history they hold. His nails are perfectly trimmed, and the long digits are almost bony, with knuckles jutting out from his skin and veins visible in trailing blue lines along his palm, resembling twisting rivers.
One by one, you kiss each and every finger until you reach the uneven stubs where his index and pointer fingers used to be. The area is still flushed a dark, upsetting red that makes your chest ache. Despite the passing years, the skin remains rough and sore-looking. Carefully, you lean forward, eyes locked to his. You hear his breath hitch as you oh-so-carefully press the softest of kisses to the stub of his index finger.
“D-don’t,” he breathes, shifting slightly in his seat in embarrassment. Something lingers in the soft grey-blue of his eye, something like embarrassment and shame. “They’re ugly.”
“They’re not,” you tell him, pressing another kiss to his shorn digit. “You’re beautiful, remember? No matter what.”
Levi takes a long, shuddered breath, his shoulders heaving with the strength of his sigh. It’s almost like he deflates a bit, the metal of his wheelchair creaking loudly as his feet shift. His face twists, the large now-mostly-white scar standing out against the pale skin of his cheek. His deadened eye can still move, instinctively tilting up to match the other as his eyes meet yours. “’m not,” he mutters quietly, hissing in pain as he shifts his injured knee. “I- I’m so weak now,” he confesses, his voice laced with frustration and pain.
It’s something he’s complained about quite a few times since the end of the final battle. Not only did he sustain injuries, but the end of Ymir’s curse had also extinguished the Ackerman strength flowing through his veins. He has mentioned feeling empty and hollow, almost fragile in comparison. His slower healing is evident from the still reddened skin of his mangled fingers.
Rising up from your knees, you press a quick kiss to the scar along his cheek. “We’re free now,” you assure him earnestly. “It’s a whole new world. We’re not soldiers anymore, and you don’t have to bear the burden of being the strongest. You have already proven your worth countless times.”
As you speak, your fingertips gently brush back the length of his bangs, exposing his forehead. With utmost care, you place another soft kiss right between his eyebrows, dissolving the tension held there. Then another. And another. Each kiss conveys a message of love and acceptance, a reminder that his worth extends far beyond physical strength.
Levi’s breath hitches again, this time from a mixture of relief and vulnerability. The sound is a bit wet, and there’s a telling moisture welling in the corners of his eyes. He struggles to find the words to respond, mouth opening and closing several times as his shoulders stiffen once again. His eyes, one vibrant and the other dulled by past wounds, seek yours, their depths reflecting the emotions he struggles to express.
“‘m not,” he murmurs, his voice tinged with a mix of pain and self-doubt. The fingers of his free hand instinctively reach for his injured knee, a reflex born from habit and discomfort. His voice sounds so small and hollow, “I- I’m broken.”
“No,” the word comes out sharper and louder than you intended, startling the both of you. “No. No you aren’t.” Your hand gently caresses his, providing a sense of comfort and reassurance. “Strength doesn’t define you,” you emphasize, your voice filled with conviction. “And your injuries don't either. I know you feel different now.. powerless.. but you possess a strength that transcends physical abilities. It’s in your resilience, your compassion, and the love you carry within you. That strength will always shine through, no matter what.”
A long, shuddered breath escapes Levi’s lips as he absorbs your words. His shoulders, burdened by the weight of his perceived weakness, begin to ease. The metal of his wheelchair creaks as his feet shift unsteadily. He swallows heavily, eyes falling from yours to stare at the fabric of the dark slacks covering his thigh.
Pinching his chin between your fingers, you urge his gaze to meet yours yet again. “We’re building a new life together,” you continue, a hint of playfulness entering your voice. “We’re not soldiers anymore. You don’t have to carry the world on your shoulders. Instead, let’s focus on chasing out those rude customers from our little tea shop. And if you ever say anything self-deprecating again, well, I’ll be there to shower you with kisses until you realize just how incredible you are.”
Levi’s lips curve into a small, vulnerable smile, the barriers of self-doubt slowly crumbling away. The moisture in his eyes finally spills over, tracing glistening paths down his cheeks. “You would,” he whispers softly, his voice filled with fondness and amusement.

levi but his demon form is a small snake. dont get me wrong, i love a big monsterous guy but imagine... tiny guy.
tiny enough to crawl in your lap. tiny enough to fit around your arm, tiny enough to nap on your shoulder. tiny enough to be carried with you trough entire days. just big enough to place soft kisses on the top of his head.
