an annoyed huff pierced the quiet, midnight air of the dance studio. you stood in front of the mirror, trying to perfect a move for about 20 minutes now, but you just couldn’t get it.

you groaned dramatically before falling to the floor, grabbing your phone to replay the video, hoping to retain some information and maybe just get the dance correct this time.

“who knew trying to surprise riki would be so hard?” you mumbled to yourself, nodding your head along to the beat of the song as you continued watching the recording of the dance.

a chuckle from the back of the room snapped you out of your daze; you turned around to see none other than the reason you put yourself through the misery of trying to learn a dance.

“riki!” you snapped, your eyebrows furrowed and your cheeks slightly flushed pink in embarrassment. “how long were you there, spying on me?”

“i wasn’t spying on you!” riki gasped at such an accusation. “besides, there’s mirrors all around this room, it’s not my fault you didn’t notice me.” riki walked closer to you and stood over you; you just continued to sit on the floor, staring up at the boy.

“gosh, it was supposed to be a surprise, i wanted to impress you…” you mumbled, finally getting up to your feet. “it was going to be super cute and everything.”

riki felt the small, teasing smirk on his face morph into a smile. how did he manage to end up with someone so adorable?

taking your hand, riki pulled you back in front of the mirror. “hey, don’t be sad baby. we can still have a super cute moment together.” riki stared at your confused face through the mirror while he adjusted your hand to the correct placement. “i mean i’ll teach you the choreography, silly.”

“wow ki, you’re such a romantic!” you teased with a giggle.

“i know, right! you have such an amazing boyfriend, y/n.”

after the small banter, riki stepped behind you, placing his right arm around your waist , his slender and somewhat chilly fingers held your stomach gently so you wouldn’t fall out of place. “1, 2, 3, and. . . turn.” riki recited the counts while teaching you how to move, his words were filled with nothing but softness and patience.

your eyes glanced at riki through the mirror, he looked so focus on mentoring you and you silently hoped that he wouldn’t notice how fast your heart was beating, or the redness which colored your cheeks, or the half nervous, giddy smile on your face; all side of effects of riki being so close to you

“great! now try without me.” riki stepped a few steps back, and you pouted at the warmth and closeness of his body suddenly abandoning you; nevertheless, you nodded.

you took a shot at the dance, executing it clumsily off a vague memory. (yes, riki might’ve taught you the dance just a few seconds ago, but your attention was placed completely on his cute, calculated expression, and you didn’t really learn much.)

“was that good?” you muttered, and riki’s eyes scanned you for a few seconds before he smiled. “way off, pretty girl.”

riki demonstrated slowly. “try to move your right leg closer to your left one, that way you can do the next step without falling.”

you nodded, taking in everything he had to say. “i think you’ve got it, try again baby.” riki instructed, and you did as said.

you started off a bit hesitant, but quickly understood the pace and grinned as you finally understood the move completely.

“i did it correctly, riki! did you see?” you said with excitement, looking back towards riki, only to see him already staring at you with adoration in his eyes and a smile which was matching your proud one.

“perfect, baby,” riki mumbled, walking closer to you and staring down into your eyes.

“mhm, because of you.” you said happily.

“no, not the dance, silly.” riki muttered, his voice shrunk close to a whisper, so that only you could hear. “i meant you’re perfect.”

riki’s hand traced over your cheeks, then slowly over your jawline, and you watched as he moved his soft yet calloused fingers delicately all over your face. your eyes soon moved from his hands to his face, only to see that riki was already staring at you.

riki moved his hand one final time to pat your hair lovingly. slowly, he connected the small space between your lips and his, pulling you infinitely closer to him as you lost yourself in the taste of his lips, relishing his touch while hoping that this perfect moment would never end.

☁️⠀࣭ 𝗌𝗍𝗈𝗉 𝖻𝖾𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖼𝖺𝗋𝖾𝗅𝖾𝗌𝗌, 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾.

pairing: rival bf!sunghoon + gn!reader genres: fluff. warnings: kissing word count: 816. the one where you and sunghoon are rivals on the field, but lovers outside of it.

author's note: if this story seems familiar to you, it's likely because you came across it on my old blog (chacottone). i'm reposting it with a few changes, as my writing has evolved since its initial publication.

Droplets of sweat gather on Sunghoon's hands that he never gets them dry, no matter how much he wipes them off; his heart occasionally finds its way to his throat and threatens to burst out, as Sunghoon hopes the butterflies in his stomach will stop dancing before he pukes them on the floor.

It is a typical scenario before an important game, especially when the rivalry goes beyond the soccer field. However, the boy believes this craving does not concern today's match.

The first day of the soccer championship begins in an hour, and the reason why Sunghoon has arrived so early has yet to appear, so he waits eagerly behind the science lab. His face gets a worried look from the possible reasons for such a long wait, but the brunette tries to keep calm, as dying of anxiety is not in his plans.

"I know. I'm sorry!" You say once you spot the boy nervously shaking his hands against the wall.

"'Holy shit, Y/N! I thought someone caught you." Sunghoon utters, loosening the breath he was holding.

"Someone did." You smother your lips, stopping in front of him, who glares at you with wide eyes. "Your teammate, Heeseung, saw me in the hallways and practically interrogated me. I suppose he thought I had an evil plan against your school. I don't know."

Sunghoon runs his hand between strands of his hair.

"But don't worry, I managed it perfectly well." You snap back, noticing his nervousness.

"What did you tell him?"

"I said I was looking for the bathroom." The smug smile that lights up your face as you say it makes Sunghoon bow one of his eyebrows. "What?" you ask.

"Is that the best you got?"

"He believed me!" You insist, but Sunghoon rolls his eyes, still hesitant. "Look, everything is under control. Don't get stressed, or I'll get stressed too, and if that happens, I'll end you in today's match."

Two furrowed lines appear between your eyebrows as you shoot Sunghoon a furious yet playful glance, eliciting a laugh from him.

"Fine." The boy leans his shoulder against the wall, not moving his eyes from you. He pulls you by the shirt until you're both near enough to feel each other's breath. "Risky dates make me nervous. I'm sorry." Sunghoon holds the tip of your chin. "But you need to stop being careless, love."

"I know..." You smile, kissing the tip of your boyfriend's nose.

"Heeseung is waiting for the perfect timing to get me out of the captain's position, you know?"

"He'll never make it, anyway." You reassure him, intertwining your arms around his torso. "You are a wonderful and tremendously hard-working captain. No one could ever replace you!"

Sunghoon cracks a smile. "A wonderful captain wouldn't date someone from the opposing team."

"Details, baby. Details." You hum against his chest. "By the way," you raise your head to glare at him. "You look ridiculous in that outfit."

"Hey!" Sunghoon nudges your shoulder lightly. "At least I'm not the one looking like a carrot in that orange uniform." He points at you.

"For your information, I picked the colors." You hit back, stepping away from him with your arms crossed. "And I'd rather be a carrot than a goofy zebra."

Sunghoon can't stand your cuteness and gently grabs you by the neck. He touches your lips tenderly, feeling peacefulness in your arms, and with no pretense of pulling away for all the days you couldn't see each other because of the hard training. The constant fear of being caught by your friends doesn't allow you to spend much time together, as the team captain should never date the defender of the rival school. That would be a scandal among the students.

The boy retreats with a silly grin on his lips. "You taste good."

"I had a huge cup of berry smoothie before I came here."

"You didn't even think to get me some?" Sunghoon purses his lips and tries to put on a sad face, even though it only makes him look ridiculous.

"I'll make one for you after the game." You roll your eyes. "You'll need it when your team loses."

"Yeah, you wish." He says, pulling you close to him again. "I'm gonna knock you out, bae."

"You are so delusional."

After leaving one last kiss on your lips, Sunghoon takes a step back. Your heart aches at the prospect of being separated from him, even if it's for a good reason. "I have to go now," he declares, "the team needs some moral support. I've heard the opposing defender is formidable."

Your boyfriend winks at you, revealing the dimple you enjoy poking at unexpected times. He leaves you standing there with a mischievous grin on your lips and your heart racing wildly.

"I knew something was off!" Heeseung exclaims, stunned by the whole scene he just witnessed.

pairing : nishimura riki x fem!reader

summary : we all procrastinate at least once in our lifetime. Having a boyfriend who is an idol, sometimes just makes you jealous of him when it comes to doing homework.

"I don't want to do it", you crossed your arm.

You leaned back onto his chest. Niki looked down at you with brows raised. He wrapped his arms around your waist, to grab his controller before looking back at tv which displayed the game he was playing on his PS5.

"You have to do your assignment either way", Niki replied, not looking at you.

You pouted at his response. Niki leaned his body forward, his chin leaned against your head as the game become more intense.

You let out a dramatic sigh. "You are so lucky that you don't have to do homework...just cause you're an idol", you muttered under your breath while rolling your eyes.

Niki placed the controller down when the word 'Victory' appeared on the screen. He leaned back onto the couch. He looked down at you on his lap.

Niki rolled his eyes jokingly before cupping your face.

"Stop being a whiny baby. Come on, get up, I'll help you with your assignment"

Your eyes sparkled as you looked at him.

"Really!!??"

Niki chuckled as he leaned down to give you a peck on your forehead which made you smile wider.

"Yes yes, quickly before I change my mind".

Hello! Can we have a fact about all the known characters so far? (Like the ones who have profiles!)

Of course!

Nishimura, unlike Naruko, isn’t allergic to oranges. She avoids them though due to her sister being deathly allergic.

Rosie likes to stare at stuff a lot. She tends to stare at grass for hours on end. Nobody really knows why, but it keeps her entertained so they aren’t complaining!

Julien has a hard time keeping his mouth shut, so he often says things right after they come to his mind. This can come off as really rude when he interrupts people, but he doesn’t mean any harm. He just talks faster than he can think.

Kya is a vegan! She HATES the taste of seafood and eating animal products makes her feel sick. This is partially because of her talent and partially because of how her mom raised her. Quana is vegan, too.

Asaro has 18 siblings. There’s one set of twins. Asaro is the third youngest. All of them dislike their mom, and only a select few know the true whereabouts of their father.

Poppi likes to have a happy demeanor because she likes to have a happy life. Her smile is always genuine, however sometimes Julien has to remind her to let it relax because she holds it deep into the night and sometimes he gets uncomfortable looking at her expression. She often forgets to frown.

(Soon to be released,) Quana has a pet clownfish named Meno! Kya caught it on one of her dives and brought it home for her sister. Quana is deathly afraid of the sea but loves marine life, so she has a nice big tank in her room for Meno to live in. She takes great care of her pet.

Niki was sitting at the back of his class thinking about some new lyrics he could come up with tapping he’s feet on the ground and banging the table not too hard for him to disturb the whole class “ Yo Niki!” Jay Niki’s band mate shouted walking up to him “Yeah what’s up?” He asked looking at the boy who was now sitting next to him “Yunjin said we’ll be having a new band member starting Tomorrow” Jay said reading the message Yunjin sent to him “What but we don’t need another member,the group is perfectly fine”Niki said taking off his headsets “Well that’s what I thought before I found out that Nicholas quit,so Yunjin got a new guitarist” Jay said looking at the annoyed boy “so tomorrow make sure you’re there okay Niki,don’t be late!” He said standing up and walking out of the classroom “We don’t need a new member” Niki said whispering

Niki was at home practicing his drums blasting music “Niki turn it down!!” his roommate shouted from downstairs, “Niki I said turn it down!” He’s roommate K barged in his room “Oh sorry I couldn’t hear you” Niki said pausing the music “It’s cool” K said ruffling Niki’s hair “ohh and imma need you to run to the store real quick we ran out of snacks okay” K said giving Niki a small grin “okay cool” Niki said standing up “ohh and don’t forget my mint chocolate ice cream okay” K shouted before Niki could leave the house, “So we have Ramen,Gummy bears,some Biscuits and what else?” Niki scratched his head trying to remember what his Hyung asked him turning around the store he saw the ice cream sing “Oh ice cream!” He said running to the fridge okay but which one tho “um chocolate? no,Vanilla?pass ohh Mint chocolate he was about to taking but than a someone reached for the last one first before making a turn,Niki held the persons wrist “um sorry but I was about to take that before you snatched it” Niki said before the person turned around “Oh really,what a shame well you were to slow then” The girl said “too slow me!?” niki shouted letting go of the girls wrist and putting his hands on his hip “Gurl I was about to take that” Niki said attempting to take the ice cream before the girl slapped his hand “Nah uh!! How dare you try to steal from a helpless gurl!!” She shouted grabbing everyone’s attention “ what I wasn’t trying to steal it I was just taking back what’s mine!” Niki said grabbing the ice cream but the girl wouldn’t let go of it “if you don’t let go of this I will scream you hear me !” The girl said “I’d like to see you try” niki said before the girl smirked at him “Ahh!!! Help help this guy is stealing my ice cream help!!” Niki looked at her with Wide eyes before the employee came to them running “Soobin please help me!” She screamed “yah!! How dare you” Soobin said said to Niki before pushing him “what!! She took my ice cream!” Niki fought back “Nah uh!!” She said “Look dude you need to leave” Soobin said what how dare he !! “ You know what fine take the ice cream I have gummy bears!” Niki said leaving the girl “are you okay Lisa did he hurt you?” Soobin asked her with a worried look “Nah he didn’t don’t worry binnie im fine” Lisa said “okay what a relief now you should pay for that” he said pointing at the ice cream “isn’t there a discount for best friends?” Lisa asked giving him puppy eyes “Aww how cute,but no” Soobin said pushing her head and walking off to get back to work “Whatever” she said before going to the till

“Hyung I’m back!!” Niki shouted entering the apartment “ finally what took you so long?” K asked him taking the bag from his hand “oh I had a little misunderstanding there” Niki said scratching his neck “okay you’ve got the ramen,gummy bears and- wait where’s my ice cream!” K shouted making Niki look at him “ohh um remember when I said I had a little misunderstanding at the store,we’ll there’s this girl who took it first and I tried to fight for it back” Niki said climbing up the stairs “You should have punched her then..ugh my ice cream!” Niki heard K fake crying down stairs before he rolled his eyes and laying down on his bed “what a long day” Niki said “Whyyyyy!” He heard K still screaming down stairs before he laughed “you should’ve kicked her!” He continued, kicked her what no I don’t do that and also she looked to cute to be kicked..her doe eyes,pink lips,tanned soft skin,and the bangs that covered her eyes a little, Niki chuckled “She wasn’t bad looking tho,she was actually cute” Niki said before he went to sleep

Next day niki woke up to K knocking on his door “Niki, Jay’s here to fetch you” Niki then rolled out of bed “Sure tell him I’m about to go bath first” Niki said picking out clothes for todays practice “sure!” K said before going downstairs, after some time Niki finally came down “Finally hurry up the others will get mad” Jay said before taking his keys “Bye K” Jay said before they both left, “there you guys are”Yunjin said before going back to the others “so you guys already know that we’ll be having a new member today?” She asked the others “ So let’s all welcome Lisa our new guitarist” she said before Lisa walked up to the stage “hi guys my names Lisa and I’ll be y’all’s new guitarist” Niki looked at her remembering her face “It’s you!” He said making everyone look at him including Lisa who’s eyes are now wide, what’s he doing here Lisa looked at him with a small grin on her face as she slowly waved to him

On The Tenth Day of Fun I present... another obi! So far everyone's really liked the obi features, so to tide you over until tomorrow's feature here's another gem!

Owned By: Nishimura (西村) in Gion Kobu Motifs: Fruits Easily one of the most unique obi out there wandering the streets of Gion Kobu, this piece uses both realism and faux shibori yuzen to artfully conjure images of fruits to life! The fruits displays include but are not limited to: Bananas: The iconic fruit known around the world, the bananas give a nice pop of bright color. Apples: A favorite among the Japanese, apples come in various colors and shapes, but the most iconic is the red apple, made famous in the tale of Snow White. Oranges: The fruit that's a color, it's a bit of a background piece here. Chestnuts: A favorite fall snack in Japan and known in Christmas carols in the West, these can even be seen as kanzashi motifs! Strawberries: Another popular fruit in Japan, it's known to grace the likes of fancy desserts that are both given as gifts and enjoyed by people of all ages. Grapes: A fruit that's also often given as a gift, prized grapes can cost hundreds of dollars per bunch and are given for special occasions like New Year's. Persimmons: Also a popular fall fruit, they're picked and dried on racks throughout the winter and then enjoyed as a sugary snack. The kamon is even colored the same color as the fruits to match the overall theme!
