After 146 days, the Writer's Strike has ended with a resounding success. Throughout constant attempts by the studios to threaten, gaslight, and otherwise divide the WGA, union members stood strong and kept fast in their demands. The result is a historic win guaranteeing not only pay increases and residual guarantees, but some of the first serious restrictions on the use of AI in a major industry.
This win is going to have a ripple effect not only throughout Hollywood but in all industries threatened by AI and wage reduction. Studio executives tried to insist that job replacement through AI is inevitable and wage increases for staff members is not financially viable. By refusing to give in for almost five long months, the writer's showed all of the US and frankly the world that that isn't true.
Organizing works. Unions work. Collective bargaining how we bring about a better future for ourselves and the next generation, and the WGA proved that today. Congratulations, Writer's Guild of America. #WGAstrong!!!

At Moms for Liberty summit 'Mama Bears' declare spiritual war on the 'Radical Left’, Annika Brockschmidt, Religion Dispatches:
Given that Moms for Liberty is a very young group on the conservative circuit it’s remarkable that both Trump and DeSantis, in addition to other presidential hopefuls, made the pilgrimage to Philadelphia to laud Moms for Liberty’s message—and, in Nikki Haley’s case, to portray herself as one of them. None of the candidates appears to have been at all concerned by the fact that Moms for Liberty was just designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. According to the report by the SPLC, the group’s main goals are to “fuel rightwing hysteria and to make the world a less comfortable or safe place for certain students—primarily those who are Black, LGBTQ or who come from LGBTQ families.”
In fact, this designation sparked numerous jokes and gripes about being “the face of domestic terrorism” during the summit—eerily similar to CPAC’s announcement and display of a “we are all domestic terrorists” banner at its 2022 meeting in Dallas. There was a great deal of talk of revolution, sacrifice, and of war in general for a supposedly “apolitical” event in Philadelphia. During the event I repeatedly heard the refrain that “not every mom for liberty is conservative”—despite the backdrop, which included a Turning Point USA booth with stickers of a milk carton with “liberal tears” and “pro-life” pins, and a merchandise corner with T-shirts like “Joe and the Hoe gotta go” and the Palin-esque “Mamma Bear—don’t mess with my cubs!”
The summit took place under heavy police presence—something the organizers made sure to exploit. “Thank the police officers for protecting us, ok? Every single one,” a staffer advised eagerly as we were escorted by a throng of police officers out of the Museum of the American Revolution, where Wallbuilders president Tim Barton had just butchered American history in a speech punctuated by his plea that “we have to make America great again!” In between speeches, speakers would hold prayers to bless the “hotel staff, those who serve our food, who make our beds,” and praise to God for not letting “hotel staff” be swayed by the protesters outside.
The vibe was strange, eerie, and excited—a cross between a White supremacist sorority meeting; a capitalist love-fest with deep bonding over hatred for “the Left,” the LGBTQ+ community, and anti-racism efforts (all dressed up as expressions of love for their children); and a pentecostal revival with some distinct NAR overtones. “Our children belong to the Lord, not the government,” declared Patriot Mobile spokeswoman Leigh Wambsganss. “This is not a political war, it is a spiritual war!

Oklahoma judge dismisses Tulsa race massacre reparations case filed by last known survivors, Omar Jimenez and Rebekah Riess, CNN:
An Oklahoma judge dismissed the reparations lawsuit filed by the last three known survivors of the Tulsa race massacre on Friday, court records show.
The three had been locked in a yearslong court battle against the City of Tulsa and other groups and officials over the opportunities taken from them when the city’s Greenwood neighborhood was burned to the ground in 1921.
Contemporary reports of deaths began at 36, but historians now believe as many as 300 people may have died, according to the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum. Thousands were left homeless.

after a shower, you usually like to lay in the bed naked for a while. you forgo the towel because, damnit, you’re in your own home now with your two pro hero boyfriends. you’re more protected than you would’ve ever imagined.
it’s become a routine between you all though, one no one usually protests. it can either end in naked cuddling or something more, and it’s fine with you either way. nobody really complains except Bakugou, but you know that it’s only because he wants to lay in the middle secretly.
as you lay in bed, air drying after your shower and scrolling on your phone, you hear the door open. you can hear Kiri and Bakugou talking amongst themselves, probably surprised that they had gotten off at the same time before they start seeking you out. and what a sight they’re greeted to.
Kirishima grins automatically, hurriedly taking off his mask before he dives for the bed. you screech when you see his hulking form damn near flying over you before he lands on you, knocking the breath from your lungs. you can hear Bakugou chiding him about almost breaking the fucking bed, and your own protests are smothered in his hairy chest and your own giggling.
by the time Kiri rolls off of you, he’s already started shimmying out of his pants and kicking them off. you roll on your side to watch him, grinning and laughing all the while, hearing Bakugou bump about in the bathroom.
In seconds, is Kirishima naked, despite still being covered in grime and soot. he drags you into his embrace even though your protests are smothered once more. both of your fronts are pressed together and you wiggle your arm out to wrap around his neck.
“Why are you naked?” Bakugou asks with a frown when he emerges, standing in his own boxers with his hands on his hips. you look over your shoulder at him and he’s so obvious to read.
“Just showered.” You mumble against the thickness of Kiri’s biceps pressing into your mouth, grinning. Bakugou clicks his tongue at you before rolling his eyes to the redhead.
“What’s your excuse?” He directs to Kiri next, who smushes his cheek against your own and squeezes you even closer.
“You know how much I love skin to skin, Kat.” He says with a wistful sigh, making you chuckle softly. Bakugou only snorts before he strips out of his own boxers and starts climbing into the bed behind you.
“Not a damn baby,” he grumbles, despite how he pulls you both in to cradle you against him. Kirishima pecks you both on the lips, proclaiming,
“You’re both my babies.” He whispers. Bakugou kicks him in the shin, and you know it’s because he must be flushed all the way down to his chest. you can only laugh, and squeeze your boys even closer to you.
