AU where Saiki’s friends ask his mom about his limiters and her reply convinces them that he’s dying. They remember the time Nendo took them out and he immediately collapsed so they ask her about them and she says something along the lines of “He’s had a condition since he was born that’s gotten more intense over time. There wasn’t any way to get rid of it, so his brother made those for him to limit the effects and make it more manageable.” She’s all proud of herself for not really lying but also not giving away his psychic powers and they’re just like “oh” and then leave. They’re convinced that that means that he’s been had an incurable illness since he was a child that progressively gets worse and is slowly killing him and oh my gosh he collapsed instantly when Nendo took that thing out it’s already so bad that he can’t even stand when he doesn’t have those in our friend is gonna die young. They get so freaked out about it that somehow now the whole class knows but he didn’t tell them so clearly he didn’t want them to know so they must all keep it a secret.

Kusuo comes in the next day and everyone’s acting super weird and he’s just like what

I can’t decide if it’s funnier if he has the germanium ring on so he can’t hear anyone’s thought so he just gets progressively more and more confused or if he can hear everyone’s thoughts and he’s like no that’s not true but he can’t say anything because no one’s mentioned it out loud in front of him.

Sorry for the silence…

I ended up teaching today, and think my students infected me….….so many have had the dreaded stomach bug (among every other illness known to humanity, these poor babies can’t catch a break 😢)….ugh guys, I can’t do this…. Physically with my eyes and a cough I’ve had, this is too much….And I have to cover for my coworker tomorrow because she’s still out with her son (also my student), and we can’t get subs, so I’m praying it goes away….

Yesterday I bought Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition and I've been having a lot of fun playing it (it helps that I've beaten Age of Calamity multiple times, and there isn't too much different between the two games gameplay-wise)

I'd probably be having more fun if I wasn't sick, though

Gentle reminder;

💫Watching all of these people graduating college/school this summer, can be very overwhelming, if you haven’t graduated yet. However, I want you to know something;

💫It is okay. Those feelings you are feeling are valid. It is okay to feel jealous, hopeless, stressed, tired, depressed or whatever you feel when you see someone achieving something which you haven’t achieved yet. You will get there, though.

💫Even if it ends up taking longer than “expected”, you will get there. The most important thing is that you are doing things at your own pace. A pace where you feel comfortable.

💫Remember: Life is not a race. It is more than okay to take your time.

💫There can be many reasons as to why someone hasn’t graduated yet; it can be due to their mental health, they could have taken a break from school for many different reasons, illness, death in the family, trauma, accidents, and many, many other things.

💫Perhaps, due to stress, they needed to cut down the number of classes they were taking to make it less stressful.

💫And perhaps, school is just not the right path/choice for them. I know many people who dropped out, never graduated and still had very successful and great lives! Not everyone graduates and that is totally okay. They are just as valid as the people who have graduated!

💫 EVERYONE is needed in this world and EVERYONE is important!💫

Born the second and youngest child of the Harcourt family in Australia

His entrance into the world came as a surprise to everyone, even his mother who had no idea she was pregnant until she was in labor. 

Family owned a bakery. A small shop that made tasty treats, but between the bills for both the bakery and home the family barely scraped by, and any extra money went back into the bakery. It was more important for there to be good quality products at the bakery than food at home.

By the time he was 11 his parents had fallen into a shell of a marriage, cheating on each other rather than just getting a divorce. 

Eldon always felt like the only people in the family to care about him were his older sister Melody, and his grandmother

As she got older his sister started partying, doing drugs, etc as a way of escape. One of the people she was sleeping with, Peter, started coming over more and more.

14 year old Eldon quickly developed a crush/obsession on/with this friend.

Eventually the only one he had in a physical vicinity was his grandmother as his sister wound up hooking up with some guy from New Zealand and leaving.

At 20 his grandmother fell ill and fell victim of a scam that claimed would heal her, taking what little money she had in the process for over a year until she died. 

The bakery was left to Eldon in her will as he had been the one to step up and actually try to take care of her throughout her illness

When Eldon was 21 these two scammers became listed as missing persons. 

They've never been found, but some nice new batches of doggy treats at the bakery became the best selling item for a couple weeks, and there was a nice gift basket sent to the local police's k-9 unit that holiday season

At 24 he left Melbourne, leaving it and the bakery behind. Traveling and living in various places. Sometimes for months, other times a year. 

He moved to Toronto at 27 and was still living there when he recently decided to take a trip. One that got him stuck in Huntsville.

When I was a kid I got a case of the 24-hour flu like clockwork evey Christmas. Like, it’d hit around midnight, and I’d be barfing and sipping generic Sprite until December 26. It went around the family every holiday, we’d all get sick at the same time. 

Looking back, I’m sure that everyone who brought dishes to my family’s Christmas Eve potluck cooked their food very safely and in a clean environment.
