He lets Deuce hang around still because he knows that he’s too scared to ask you out in front of Grim and Ace.

He acts like he has no intentions in asking you out but it gets more obvious since he gets a little bit more possessive when around upperclassman.

He tries to act slick but he doesn’t do a very good job at it. He gets you something very simple and just acts a little bit meaner.

Deuce Spade

He spends so much time agonizing about it. How should he do it? Does he get flowers or chocolate?

He ends up getting both but he’s embarrassed to walk out the dorm with it because he knows everyone will be asking and teasing him about it!

He can’t even keep it in his dorm room because he’s in the same room as Ace. Ace is the reason of all his problems at this point.

If Cater finds out, then everybody is gonna know. He manages to hide it under his bed but now he doesn’t know how to bring it out without getting caught. He brings it out to you early morning.

It is very obvious to a lot of people. Him generally just being flustered around you is the dead give away.

He definitely would jump anybody that would dare to ask you out as a joke since highschool boys always do that. You don’t deserve that treatment.

Cater Diamond

He doesn’t act that out of the ordinary. He’s not the type to suck up to someone even for Valentines Day.

He keeps asking you if anyone has asked you out or if you plan to ask anyone out. Even if you lie, he’s gonna find out.

He doesn’t feel threatened when anyone asks you out because obviously you’ll end up picking him!

He doesn’t get something too fancy but definitely still flashy like a huge bouquet. He’s so shameless when he walks into the dorm and he’s like “yeah this is for them!”

Trey Clover

He tries to stay on the down low about it. He knows that Cater will be asking and bothering him endlessly.

“Oh, Trey~ I see that chocolate. Who’s it gonna be?”

“Ahah, it’s a secret.”

That’s all he tells him.

Trey acts pretty much normal besides those small moments he suddenly gets bold with his affections. He acts like nothing happened after.

He doesn’t really get concerned with other people. You can do whatever you like and date whoever you like. However he will promptly drag you away whenever someone he particularly doesn’t like shows up.

He’s cute with his gift too. He made you a small chocolate lava cake. And you already know it was absolute divine.

He also gets you roses, very generic but special because it’s Trey Clover!!

Riddle Rosehearts

He’s panicking help him. He doesn’t know how, when, what to do on Valentine’s Day. He doesn’t have a clue. I feel like he’d ask you over text because he’s confused.

He looks up what to do and he concluded that he must throw a special party for Valentines Day. It’s not mandatory, only for you it is.

Cute little party and everyone is like “this is so stupid” while they look at Riddle who is head over heels in love with you.

At the end of the party he asks to kiss you because— you’re supposed to do that? He’s so cute and nervous fwiegdidjeb

Leona Kingscholar

He will be so unintentionally extra about it. He doesn’t really ask you really he just claims you as his valentines without saying anything.

He also scares people away to the best of his ability. Unfortunately there are some people that won’t back down.

At some point he just taunts them.

“Go on give them your chocolate. I’m telling you now it’s just going to be a waste.”

He can be a little bit evil but like that’s okay.

He gets you something a little bit too extravagant. A normal person would never spend that much on some flowers. He wouldn’t usually but he knows it’ll make you happy and that’s the tradition of Valentine’s Day.

Ruggie Bucchi

He gets a little nervous about this. Usually he would just snatch a little cash from Leona but it just makes him feel stupid. He actually works very hard for some money from little tiny jobs at the side.

He would get you some flowers but that feels boring to him. He wants to stand out. After much trial and error (and many guides), he managed to make a flower crown.

He feels a little bit embarrassed if anyone happens to walk by and see him working his butt off but proud he finally got it.

He tells you to close your eyes and he quickly places it on top of your head. He will not let you take it off for the whole day.

Okay with all that hard work, you gotta go out with him. He begs please

Jack Howl

He’s just polite. Valentine’s Day is the day of love. A lot of people thought he wasn’t gonna ask anyone out. He made gifts for all of this friends.

He did his little research on what to get you. He had to stalk you a little bit and he eventually found something for you.

He doesn’t like asking directly. It’s more endearing if he gets it based off of his own observations and knowing you.

He’s so sweet. Ace was definitely keeping an eye each of the first years and Jack somehow went under the radar.

He even writes a letter. It’s a little bit sappy and a little bit embarrassing to write but he would never say that out loud.

Floyd Leech

Why is he actually so considerate though. His gift is actually the most thought out one. He doesn’t really wanna buy chocolate and some flowers.

He buys you some snack you actually like instead of basic chocolate. And he will rub it in that he actually knows your preferences to anybody else that gave you a gift.

Very much cuddly even if it’s a bit annoying. He will hold you down and not let you leave. But at least he’s not choking the air out of your body.

He goes back home and gets a few things. He will monopolize your time as much as possible. No, you don’t have to meet with your stupid friends right this moment. Just wait he wants to show you his memories in grade school!

He’s cute so cute with how he approaches you. He invites you over and he’s shows off the flowers he’s been growing. He asks you which ones you like and of course he gives them to you in a big bouquet.

Oh my god he might die. He has it all planned out but he doesn’t know how to execute it. Jade and Floyd hear about his problems and offer to just do it for him but that’s pathetic on his part.

He’s pathetic either way, sorry man. His plan was to invite you for dinner but it ended up sounding like—

“I invite you to dinner at Mostro Lounge. Yes on February 14th… Yes it’s free of charge. I-If you don’t want to go then you don’t have to go but— wait no you HAVE to go!”

He’s such a mess. He has helped many people out in a romantic sense especially on Valentines Day however he can’t even help himself.

i realized i suggested tori deciding to get with obito after the cave incident, but also that in reborn au she's actually already dating itachi when that happens. so consider

tori has been dating itachi for a few months (more if you count when she was dating him unknowingly) (her life is... dumb?)

she gets trapped in a cave by Some Guy and minato bans her from seeking vengeance

in reborn au she gets itachi to go freak out That Guy and is satisfied, but in THIS au everyone is more toxic. she has "destroys village out of affection" on the table as normal human behavior. she wants blood. she deserves blood

tori: can you BELIEVE itachi won't kill a singular guy for me obito: lmao tori is it really that big a deal? just kill him yourself tori: but it was :( tori: a cave :( tori: where i doubted anyone at all would ever help me again :( obito: obito: obito: okay FINE i'll kill him

tori breaks up with itachi specifically to seduce obito

This guy had questioned himself maybe three times in his life before he met you

He thinks he's an above-average dude on his humbler days. He hates acknowledging his oopsies because the consequences scare him, not because he thinks they make him a bad person

He adores you, you keep the world in perspective for him, and he knows how important that and the way you've helped him grow is

But he subconsciously contributes to your struggles at first. Any unique trait is teasing material to him, it never occurred to him that the stuff he comments on might be sensitive for you

Until the day he notices you change your appearance and have a hard time responding to him

Why did you change your clothes to hide that part of your body? Why don't you take credit for your work any more? Why don't you believe him when he compliments you?

When you manage to tell him, he feels awful about it. He doesn't know what it's like to be insecure, but he does know what it's like to want somebody's approval and acceptance

It'll take a while, but he'll prove all the doubts he caused wrong and then tackle the rest. How is he supposed to shine without you as a light source anyway?

ATSUSHI HERE WE GO THANK YOU FOR HEARING MY PRAYERS

Favorite thing about them: HIS SELFISHNESS. It's so so delicious to explore. Can you imagine a protagonist that saves others not out of simple good will, but because of egoistic self-preservation motives? It just feels counterintuitive for me lmao, and I found it quite messed up when I first watched the anime, but now it's so compelling to explore. His whole “everything I do is in order to gain the right to live” is crazy fashinating. Because lol, that's entirely nonsensical to me! There's no such thing as “gaining the right to live”; all humans, every person in the world is inherently deserving of life. All. No exception. So there's no level of “weak” or “worthless” that would make you lose that right. The fact that's it's a vision so distant and absurd from mine, idk, it just makes it very compelling to explore? “What if there was a little fucked up guy who believed the right to live had to be earned” just sounds like a very interesting premise.

Least favorite thing about them: When I first watched the anime, I think I found him low-key annoying? I just... Don't do very well with self-deprecating people and people who complain a lot in general, I usually suffer in silence and tend to (wrongly) assume others should do the same (this probably makes me sound pretty mean, I swear I try to be understanding irl). However, it doesn't bother me as much anymore, I simply think it's more of a distinctive trait of the character that makes him multilayered and unique. As of now, I can't think of anything I don't like about him if not the fact that I wish he'd rely on Dazai and others in general a little less. I know that has to do with his lack of self-worth, so maybe it makes sense,, but as of now he feels kind of stuck. I just wish we'd see him grow more on that front.

There may be better ones, but I really like the delivery of this one.

brOTP: KYOUKA AND ATSUSHI they make me go insane. Already talked about this in the Kyouka post but just to reiterate: in my headcanon Kyouka really is the only person Atsushi feels genuine, selfless affection towards. It's very sweet. They're siblings. Kyouka's happiness is really important for Atsushi. They really do have that feeling of people who got out of an abusive environment learning what normality is supposed to be like together. I also really like how they compensate for what the other lacks, be it decisiveness and coolhead for Atsushi and empathy and positivity for Kyouka. Although plenty shipping them romantically, I really like platonic sskk and atsulucy as well.

OTP: I really like sskk eheh. I think they're neat. There's a thousand and one reasons why I find them pretty great. They're objectively the only reason why I got invested in bsd as well as the only thing that has me keep up with the franchise to this day. Right now, I feel like the one thing I really appreciate about them is how you can be the worst person in the universe and still somehow be loveable to someone. I think it's sweet. I also find it very fun and enterataining to explore their various soulmatism antics. They're both very complex and multilayered characters with something deeply wrong with how their minds work that makes them very fun to analyze both by their own and in the complexity of their relationship. Their collective story arc and canon relationship progression is extremely engaging and nice to follow, too. I love dazatsu and atsulucy as well!! Both were ships I wasn't particularly invested when I read the manga for the first time, but really grew in me in the last six months or so. I really dig akuatsulucy as well!!

Random headcanon: He really likes reading. There's some real meta-analysis to be made here I actually had written this is probably not the right place to talk about, but in a work that's all about literature, he's the character who reads.

Unpopular opinion: He's the hardest character to write / characterize. That's why people should probably go easier on other fans when they mischaracterize him. He's just very multifaceted and genuinely hard to get. I keep seeing people being like “Stop babyfying Atsushi he's an independent adult!!” then turn around to say “he can't be shipped with Dazai because there's too much unbalance of power :// [somewhat implying Atsushi can't make free decisions for himself]”, or “Stop making of Atsushi a soft baby who never did wrong in his life!!!” then turn around to say “Atsushi is the happy puppy of the agency who gets treats and pats from everyone ^^ ” like. At least to me, a lot of people's arguments sound self-contradictory all the time; but that doesn't mean people should stop having fun and characterize the characters as they like! Just, let's stop being mean to each other and try to be a little more accepting towards others' takes, shall we? And yes that also includes letting people find Atsushi annoying if they find him annoying (although like, I've NEVER found anyone call Atsushi annoying ever, so really, what remote fandom spaces is everyone visiting? Why are you looking for clothes (good takes) at the soup store (Tik/tok I assume?) ).

Tips (sort of?) for any ana's out there

lots are probably no brainers, so this is especially for beginners

1. you can turn basically anything into a low cal meal by cutting back the portion size.

example: about a week ago, I wanted a sandwhich. one slice of bread was 96 cals, 1 tbsp of mayo was 100 cals, one slice of chicken was 85 cals, and pickles were 5 cals. that was way too many calories for me in one meal. so, instead, I split everything up. I split the bread in half (48 cals) the mayo into 1/4 tbsp (25 cals) the chicken in half (42.5 cals) -and the pickles like normal, (so, 5 cals). that's now a total of 120.5 cals for the sandwich instead of 286 cals. I do this with all of the food I eat, and it's especially helpful if the diet you're on only allows for 100-250 or so calories in a day.

2. drink lots of water on an empty stomach.

this will help boost your energy and metabolism, and it can also have long term positive affects on things like hair and skin. along with that, it can make you nauseous, which will make you not want to eat.

3. DO NOT start fasting unless you're already either good at fasting (e.g. bc of a religious thing) or already can go a day only eating 100-200 cals.

if you're just starting out, you're not going to be able to start fasting right away because you're not used to it yet. fasting when you're not ready will just increase your wanting to binge, which'll just mess you up.

4. if you're feeling like you want to binge, watch mukbangs/freaky eaters/1000lb sisters/etc.

freaky eaters personally helps me the best, because it's gross as all hell (hence the name). watching people eat tons of disgusting foods, especially in incredibly large portions, always ruins my appetite.

5. find low cal food that you actually enjoy.

in order for you to actually start making progress, you need to find stuff you LIKE. if you're eating food you find gross just because it's low cal, you're gonna quit. you're gonna not ever feel satisfied, and you're going to give into your cravings. there are many many many ana/low cal recipes and foods that you can try. find some low cal foods you like and stick with them. it can be something complicated but low cal, or even something as simple as cucumbers.

6. like the above, find workouts/exercises that you like as well.

there are many workouts on ed tumblr that are very enjoyable, but you can also try simple workouts on youtube (personally, I usually do growwithjo in the mornings and night and during the day I go for a run/bike ride/etc). depending on how many calories you're trying to lose/a specific area of your body that you're trying to get skinnier/ you can google specific's and find a workout that matches what you want. reminder though to go easy at first if you're not used to working out. if you do three intense workouts in a day you'll be burned out and sore before the week even ends. ease into it.

7. if you have a specific craving that you just can't get rid of, eat a tiny bit of seasoning related to it.

(sorry for the janky ass wording, but) example: if I really wanted like.. mcdonalds fries, I would instead go to the kitchen and eat a little piece of salt. same goes if I'm craving something sugary. I can go and just eat a couple tiny grains of sugar, etc. I don't know about anyone else, but this almost always gets rid of my cravings.

8. back to the exercise one, I highly recommend getting a jump rope.

you can get a jump rope for like a dollar at pretty much any local store. if you can't get one at a local store, you can get one online. they're fun, incredibly easy to do, and they burn lots of calories in short periods as well as working your whole body.

9. continuing on with the exercise, make sure you are doing yoga/stretching out after exercising.

try to do at least simple stretches (butterfly, neck roll, touch your toes, etc.) before and after working out. it'll help you stay stronger/do better during your actual workout, as well as help prevent you from getting sore/pulling a muscle/etc.

10. keep an ana journal.

organize it however you want to. it can be written like a list, diary, bullet journal, whatever you want. they're incredibly easy to do, literally just get a notebook and document all your stuff! they're very fun as well as a great tracker for all of your progress. I write down everything I ate that day, how many calories in each, my weight at the beginning vs. end of the day, how much water I drank, how much exercise did I do + what kinds + how many calories did it burn, etc. it's also very fun to read back through it after a while of keeping it and seeing how much progress you've made.

Something that make me curious about blot(part 1)

I have already mention in my previous post about blot. But there's actually reason why i was curious by Vil's blot data in ch 6

First of all, the thing we know about blot is mainly from what people said or when we see the character interaction talking about blot.

This actually make me curious of what Idia's and S.T.Y.X found about blot that isn't shared with the public?🤔

We know that depends on how big the magic gems is and maybe also how powerful the gems is affect how fast blot is accumulated. This is shown mainly in vargas camp story(both the one with athletic or cultural club)where they used the gems fairly fast when used their magic but when something like that would not be too hard if they have their pen they usually use.

Blot itself also affected mainly by emotions, especially dark emotions like envy, anger, hatred, etc. We know that to make blot vanish we need to eat, and get rest or basically just relax and just forget the stress you have in your head and body. This actually make me question-

How much a blot can be accumulated to be considered "normal"?

Because each of us can have different blot accumulated that we thought are normal but other would thought it was only very little or a little too much to others. This is where i wonder what Idia mean by "normal" for Vil. It is normal for human? Or for people his age? Or for people in situations? Or other things? I would also want to know about leona and jamil if they also have emotional distress inside or not even if they know it's a fake.

The reason i say for human is because we know that the magic pool for each race is different. We know the most who have the most magic pool, the beastman and the human race is actually was shown to be similar in so many ways except for the animal trait for beastman, so we can assume they have the same magic pool for each individual or maybe beastman is a little higher. For merman, we never have a really canon say in-game, but from what ldia said azul tend to preserve his magic, because his magic pool. Of course it can be just because azul not really work his magic really much when he is child unlike riddle that's why riddle have more but maybe they have more and it just riddle that have more since..... you know his mom.

And regarding magic pool, we know from recent event that there is a flower called firelotus(the flower rollo grow(idk what the jp name is)), and what if that firelotus and blot working in the same way? So when they're meet they either cancel each other or one of them going to survive but not too long? Because technically blot is kinda like dark magic and normal magic is white magic like usual magical world theme where the dark magic(or in some called miasma(?)) actually shown to be bad for plants and human, while white magic is usually help plant and people alike like how normal magic is like fertilizer for the firelotus and how we can use magic for our need.

Also i wonder if S.T.Y.X actually have record of how much blot can increase depending on what emotion the user have. I'm going to use the NRC pen for the gems example for this. Like maybe if you feel betrayed the blot accumulated in your pen fill the 1/10 of the gems, or when anger, you get it into 1/20 or 1/25 of the gems, or something like that.

That way we may know how the overblot feelings when they fought the fake vice leader, kalim and ruggie. Like if the increase show how much we distress, or guilty. The one known to show this is azul and riddle by not only their face but also their data. For the other three they have normal blot accumulated data, but what if their data is actually show an increase but because their usual accumulated blot is low compared to how normal blot accumulated is, their increase was thought as something completely normal but they actually show distress? Or maybe one of them lie about their emotion to even their own self? This is why i want to know about their usual data vs emotional fight data(that's how i name the battle with the vice)

I have another theory about blot and firelotus regarding overblot but it will be in the next post since it may be a bit long to discuss

Mmmmmm, I've already went over a lot of my general consensus for their powers (that isn't spoiler-related, anyway -> check the Elemental Compendium tag!) and Nya's powers are of course related to Wojira........so! *claps hands* Let's talk about something else!

Let's talk....Elemental Attunement.

Elemental Attunement (noun): Essentially, it is the level of compatibility a given Master has with their Element, effecting their overall connection with the element itself, and their overall ability to maintain control of it at a given time.

As we know, every Elemental Master is always going to be 1:1 with their Element, regardless of how they attained it or inherited it. The only thing is, there's no way to determine just how attuned (read: compatible) they will be with the Element. Your son could inherit Water and be nothing "like" water at all. You could willingly pass it onto the least compatible person in the world without even knowing. And this is why, when Elements are "cut from the compass" they're more liable to manifest in someone with a high level of attunement with that particular Element to restart the bloodline. Wind isn't going to re-manifest in someone better suited for Earth, for example.

And, on top of all that, there's the rather common tendency to fluctuate—sometimes you can be vibing with your element just fine, and other times it can feel having like a stranger in your own body. But, most of the time it's all in the individual's mindset. Some Elemental Masters gel very easily with their Elements. Some...have to really work for it.

Essentially, it's not really something that has any true impact on the overall plot, hence why I haven't gone into detail about it beforehand, but if you've been reading between the lines you'll notice that I've used it to explain some of the...quirks a few characters have (primarily for Jay, but also Nya, Skylor, and a little bit Jesse) yet this concept applies to all EMs.

There are two degrees to Attunement: Natural Attunement, and Fluctuation Tendency. Natural Attunement is, of course, how naturally attune one is to their Element by default. Fluctuation Tendency is how often the level of attunement tends to change. Masters more confident and comfortable with their Element fluctuate less; Masters that struggle to see "themselves" within their Element or have reservations will fluctuate more.

And, as a final thing, this is all independent of whether or not True Potential has been reached (as it goes back to the 1:1 thing).

Anywho, let's dive into some fun specifics!!! Yay!!!!

Kai: Mid Natural Attunement, Low Fluctuation (Overall Average: 60%) Kai's Attunement level has the (almost) unique aspect of being affected by having two Elemental parents—he may have inherited the Element of Fire and identifies well enough with it, but being descended from Water as well "dampens" his attunement to Fire *ba dum tiss* This is reflected in how Sadness is the biggest trigger for his Outbursts, as opposed to more...fiery emotions. But, more often is able to maintain his connection to Fire than to feel disconnected from it, despite having his moments.

Jay: High Natural Attunement, Low Fluctuation (Overall Average: 99%) Jay's Attunement level is ridiculously high, above normal amounts, which is why his Element manifests in ways when he's not even thinking about it (sparks flying off him, flying/teleporting just on instinct, etc). Plus, his constant high level of Attunement allows him easier access to his Derivative Elements (his speed/evasiveness, unpredictability, Thunder Scream, using that random ass Wind Move), which the others have yet to even consciously attempt, let alone succeed with. The downside is, of course, going too overboard saps a lot of his energy far too quickly, to the point of nearly being inconvenient.

Cole: Mid Natural Attunement, Mid Fluctuation (Overall Average: 75%) Cole is very inclined with his Element as his mother was, give or take a few points of weakness, but it's circumstances that tend to make him feel disconnected from time to time–his fear of falling, turning into a ghost, being trapped in Vengestone, etc. Basically times when he struggles to feel the support of the earth. He does fluctuate when he's feeling emotional as well, especially when he's feeling particularly bad about himself (and then it becomes harder to utilize the Earth Punch/Lava Arm ability along with Vibration Tracing)

Zane: High Natural Attunement, Mid Fluctuation (Overall Average: 85%) With Zane being more or less powered by the Element itself, his Natural Attunement almost reaches Jay's levels, although he does fluctuate a bit more than Jay does, mainly due to very specific uncertainties or letting his emotions get the best of him (which as we now know, Zane feeling too emotional weakens his connection to Ice). One reason his Psychic Ability doesn't kick in all-too much (as opposed to his mother being able to call on it at will) is because of that decreased elemental connection.

Nya: Low Natural Attunement, High Fluctuation (Overall Average: 40%) Like Kai, her attunement is also affected by hereditary factors. Unfortunately, she got more of the Fire genes than the Water genes despite inheriting Water, hence why her Outburst trigger is Frustration, and why it takes her so long to reach her True Potential when she struggles so much to see the Water-qualities within herself (even if others can). (And this is also why she basically has to shred her entire sense of self to even get close to mastering NRG Mode—but, you've seen Seabound, you know what happens)

Lloyd: Full Attunement, Zero Fluctuation (Overall Average: Infinite) Lloyd is always completely attuned to his Element/Essence, whether he likes it or not. Even while repressing the Green Element, that only heightens his attunement to the Golden Essence (or vice versa), so he's not really escaping anything at all (and King, if you're out there, this is basically the reason for that "Golden Kick" maneuver snksnksnk). Losing direct access to one or both would definitely start to fuck him up, however.

Jesse: High Natural Attunement, High Fluctuation (Overall Average: 50%) Like Lloyd, has a nasty habit of repressing his element whether he realizes or not, all in an attempt to appear more "normal" and "palatable" to people. But unlike Lloyd, this artificially lowers his own level of attunement... which is essentially why he doesn't have full access to all his powers (on top of his "incomplete" Potential, though that has a few other factors in play as well). If he embraced Surprise completely and had his Full Potential, his Attunement levels have the potential (ha) to match Jay's, honestly.

Skylor: Low Natural Attunement, High Fluctuation (Overall Average: 30%) Masters of Amber tend to have a naturally low attunement level anyway, given that Amber is an artificial elemental to begin with. However, Skylor's specific level of fluctuation is very high thanks to a variety of factors I can't discuss yet, but it becomes a good thing for her as it allows her to better connect with her Element over time (which eventually raises her average, and lets her control Amber at its base as oppose to requiring another Element to do anything at all).

But yeah tl:dr; how connected/disconnected an EM feels to an element can and will have an impact of how much mastery they have over their powers in a given moment, and why some EMs seem to have better/stronger/more immediate control than others.

Things were not looking good for you. You had got too confident, thinking you were safe when you didn't run into dozens of armed men seeking to kill you. Maybe Hydra really was dying. Maybe the information you got was wrong. Whatever it was you were already there so you stayed to scout the apparently abandoned base of the criminal organization for more information about their plans or hideouts. You thought you were being careful, but apparently you weren't being careful enough. You see, the thing was that you should have been attacked by what was left of Hydra's army. Your information was not wrong and you had been naive to believe that it was. And now you were trapped in a building you were not familiar with surrounded by skilled assassins who had been trained in that very place.

"It's not looking good out there," Sam said, analyzing the images red wing had of the building. All the exits were blocked and there were more than a dozen armed men standing between you and the extraction point.

"Did you call for backup?" Natasha asked you as she helped Bucky block the door, the only point of entry to the room you were hiding in.

"I did," you nodded. "But I don't think they can make it in time. There's a dozen of them and just four of us." Not to mention you guys were running out of bullets. There was no way you could fight your way out of there and waiting for backup wasn't an option, Hydra agents could attack you at any moment.

"This is my fault. I should have known they were setting us up" Bucky complained in frustration, kicking the first thing that crossed his path. You understood why he felt responsible for what had happened —he had a lot of experience with Hydra—, but you also understood that it was normal for him not to be his normal, paranoid self. A place like that triggered a lot of painful memories that affected his judgment.

"It's everybody's fault. We're a team" you assured him even though you knew that your words probably didn't have a big impact given the extreme circumstances you were in.

“What do we do now? I’m low on ammo and I doubt they’ll just surrender and let us go.” Sam spoke, keeping calm and taking control of the situation. Someone had to do it, otherwise you would just stand there waiting to be killed. The four Avengers gathered to analyze the images that Red Wing had obtained from the outside, desperately looking for an easy way out that would involve the least amount of fighting. You were in a complicated situation, but if you were smart you might make it out of there alive.

"The south exit appears to be the least guarded of them all" you pointed out. "We need to distract the guards so we can sneak out."

"Yeah but how?" Sam said and the room fell silent as everyone thought of an escape plan. A crazy idea popped into your head then. It was crazy and dangerous, but maybe it was crazy enough to work.

"I can buy you guys some time to escape," you said, picking up your gun and counting the bullets you had left.

"What? No, that's crazy!" Sam flatly refused. There was no way he was going to leave you behind.

"I can distract the guards in the corridors and give you a safe passage to the south exit. You can take the ones at the door and run to the jet" you explained your reasoning. You were aware of how dangerous it was and that there was a high probability that you would not survive, but someone had to sacrifice themselves for the rest. It was more than clear that the four of you could not get out of there alive. You just hoped you could take many Hydra agents with you before they captured you. If you had any luck maybe they would torture you for a while for information, giving time for the backup to arrive to rescue you.

"I should be the one to do it!" Bucky offered. "You go with them, I'll clear the way."

"We didn't go through all that shit to get you back and fix your mind for you to die in here, Bucky," you told him, refusing to let the same men who had tortured him for so many years win in the end by taking his life.

"Are you sure?" Natasha asked you, looking at you with sadness and concern. She didn't like your plan at all, but she saw no other way out.

"I'll be fine" you smiled at her, even though you weren't really certain about it. "Just make sure to come back for me. With more agents this time." Whether you were asking her to come back to save you or to retrieve your corpse, neither of you knew.

As Bucky moved the barricade on the door and everyone got into position you took the opportunity to pull out your phone. You didn't have much time and there was something you wanted to get off your chest in case that was really the end for you. It was an impulsive decision, but at that moment you needed to confess your best kept secret to someone. So you looked up Wanda's contact, your best friend in the whole team, and typed a quick message.

'Wanda, if I don't make it back tell Steve that I loved him all along'

You sent the message without checking it twice, fearing you would regret it if you did. That's why you didn't realize that the person you had sent it to wasn't your friend.

"Are you ready?" Natasha asked you, her voice firm but quiet. You looked up from your phone to face her, handing it for her to take in case you were captured.

"Yes," you nodded, giving her a weak smile before hugging her goodbye.

"Be careful," Sam pleaded as he pulled you into his arms.

"Hang in there, we're coming back for you." Bucky patted your back, which to him was like giving you a hug.

"Could you guys do me a favor?" you said and they nodded. "Could at least one of you look at me like you were gonna see me again?"

"See you in a bit." Natasha smiled at you.

The events that followed were a blur of actions. You left the room with your gun in hand, running through the corridors making as much noise as you could to lure Hydra's agents to you. It didn't take them long to find you, in a matter of seconds you had five men running towards you while shooting at you. You didn't have many bullets so every shot counted. You tried to use every surface in your path as cover, getting a head start so that when you could shoot at them you didn't miss. You managed to get rid of them fairly easily, earning only a couple of scratches from the bullets that had grazed your skin.

You were gaining confidence. Suddenly the idea of escaping from there didn't sound so far-fetched. You only had three bullets left, but if you were smart you might be able to sneak through the building undetected, at least long enough until backup arrived. You were looking for a place to hide when you ran head-on into a Hydra agent. He was alone, the only thing standing in your way. You raised your gun, aiming it at his head to get rid of him for good. And then BOOM.

The shot echoed throughout the building, only it wasn't your gun that had fired. Your hands traveled to your abdomen where they made contact with a warm, thick liquid running down your skin. Looking down you discovered it was blood. Blood that poured from the gunshot in your abdomen. You tried to continue, power through the pain until you reached a safe hiding place, but as soon as you moved your legs collapsed. You fell to the floor, your gun flying across the hallway out of your reach. Your vision blurred, the dim light that illuminated the building hurting your eyes, forcing you to squint.

The last thing you saw before you lost consciousness was a group of Hydra agents approaching you. You felt them grabbing you and no matter how hard you tried to move to escape, you could not. Then everything went black.

Steve was putting on his suit, preparing to go rescue his friends, when he felt his phone ring, warning him of the arrival of a new message. He ran to grab the device, thinking it would be a message from one of his friends giving him some news about the mission. And it was, your name was glowing on the screen of his phone, only the content of the message was not at all what he expected.

Steve's heart stopped as his brain tried to process your words. You loved him. You had loved him all this time. You had loved him all this time he had spent repressing how he felt for fear of rejection. And now you were trapped in a building surrounded by Hydra agents who wanted to kill you. You didn't think you were going to make it, that's why you had sent your confession to Wanda - well, you had tried to send it to her. The thought of never seeing you again made Steve's heart drop to his stomach. He couldn't let that happen, especially not now that he knew how you really felt about him. He couldn't lose you.

The rescue team made the trip in record time. When they arrived, Steve discovered that Sam, Bucky and Natasha were safe, waiting for backup on the jet. However, you were nowhere to be found.

"They have her," was what Natasha replied when he asked about you. His friend kept talking, explaining the details of the mission and how they had ended up in that mess, but Steve didn't listen to her. All he could think about was the immense danger you were in. He barely took time to think of a plan of attack, running into the building without much thought. He was glad he had brought Wanda with him as he watched her use her powers on the Hydra agents that attacked them at the entrance, finishing them off in a matter of seconds. They didn't stand a chance against the witch's powers.

Steve left Wanda, Sam and Natasha to secure the building while he and Bucky went in after you. Together they took out any Hydra agents that got in their way with ease, asking them about you and shooting them when they didn't give them an answer. Steve was beginning to panic, they had gone through most of the building and you were nowhere to be seen. He feared for the worst, thinking they had already gotten rid of you or taken you somewhere else to do who knows what with you.

But then he saw you. You were being carried by a group of men who didn't hesitate to drop you to fight him. You weren't moving and Steve noticed a red stain on the fabric of your suit. Seeing the state you were in only enraged him more, which led him to finish off the Hydra agents much faster. Once everyone was safe he ran to you.

"Y/N, can you hear me?" he said as he inspected your wounds. You had bruises and scrapes all over you, though without a doubt the most alarming wound was the gunshot on your abdomen. You seemed to have lost a lot of blood, your pulse was weak and your skin was pale, but you were still alive. "Stay with me, I'm gonna get you out of here."

Bucky helped him carry you to the jet and once you were properly settled he piloted it back to the Avengers compound. Steve stayed by your side the entire trip, tending to your injuries as best he could with the resources he had. He was the one who carried you to the medical wing of the compound and only left your side when you went into surgery, leaving the doctors to save your life while he waited outside, pacing back and forth nervously.

Steve knew you were strong, that you would fight to get through this, but that didn't make the situation any better. He couldn't lose you, not now, not like this. You couldn't leave this world without giving him a chance to tell you how he felt about you. You had to know. He needed to tell you that your smile was the most beautiful smile in the world, that you brightened his day with your melodious laugh and that there was no other person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He needed you to know that you grounded him, that your friendship was what gave him the strength to rebuild his life in the uncertain future he had woken up to. He needed to tell you that he loved you too and that the only thing that stopped him from holding you in his arms and kissing you until he couldn't feel his lips was the fear of rejection, the uncertainty of not knowing if you would feel the same.

But now because of that message everything had changed. He knew what you felt and he desperately needed to tell you that he felt the same way.

The first thing you noticed when you opened your eyes was the bright white light illuminating the room. It hurt your eyes and made it hard to adjust your vision, forcing you to inspect your surroundings with your eyes half closed. When you tried to move you felt a stabbing pain in your abdomen that stopped you immediately, letting out a grunt as you brought your hands to the injured area.

"You gave us a real scare." Steve's deep voice startled you. Looking up, you discovered he was sitting in a chair next to the bed where you were resting. "How are you feeling?"

"Like I was hit by a train," you answered honestly. Your body felt heavy, your muscles tired as if you had run a marathon. "What happened?"

"You got shot... It was bad, you lost a lot of blood... you were in surgery for hours" he told you, leaning towards you. One of his hands brushed yours, the contact awakening a tingle on your skin. It was as if he couldn't bring himself to take it, his hand hovering over yours as he decided what to do. In the end he ended up entwining his fingers with yours, his eyes resting momentarily on your joined hands before returning to your face. "I was really worried about you." You could tell by the seriousness in his voice that he was being sincere. He still sounded a little scared and worried even though he had you by his side safe and sound.

"You won't get rid of me that easily," you tried to joke to ease the situation, however Steve's expression didn't change.

"Why did you do that?"

"They needed a way out of there."

"So you offered to sacrifice yourself to save the others?" Steve wasn't necessarily angry, but he wasn't happy either. On the scale of all the lectures about being careful on the battlefield and thinking before you act that he'd given you since you'd joined the Avengers, you'd had worse.

"Someone had to do it, we were all gonna die in there otherwise" you shrugged.

"It was reckless!" he exclaimed, unable to believe that you didn't see the gravity of the situation.

"I'd say it was kinda heroic," you muttered, feeling small under Steve's intense gaze.

"You almost died! if I got there a few minutes later..." He couldn't finish the sentence. He didn't want to think about what might have happened if he didn't get there in time to rescue you.

"But I didn't die! I knew you would get there on time." Whether on the battlefield or in your personal life, Steve was always there to save you.

"So what was that text you sent to Wanda? Because it felt a lot like a goodbye to me."

You froze, your eyes wide open in surprise. She told him?

"She told you?" Your voice was barely a whisper, waiting in horror for Steve's reaction to your true feelings for him.

"Actually, you did," he said and you looked at him in confusion. "You got the wrong number."

"Steve, I..." you started to say but didn't know how to finish the sentence. Your mind was blank, your brain frozen in fear. Fear of rejection. Fear that you had ruined your friendship with Steve forever. Fear of the inevitable change that would come with the revelation of the truth. You felt vulnerable, your heart exposed in a way it had never been before. The next words out of Steve's mouth would seal your fate. You could be the happiest person on the planet or the most miserable, it all depended on whether Steve reciprocated your feelings or not. He had too much power over you at that moment and you hated it.

"I love you too" he admitted without giving it a second thought as he saw the terror in your eyes. However, your brain wasn't able to process his words in time.

"I'm sorry, Steve. You weren't supposed to find out this way, I don't know what I was thinking when I sent that text to Wanda. I-" you rambled on, apologizing in anticipation because there was no way he would reciprocate.

But then his words clicked in your mind.

"Wait, what?" you asked, confusion replacing embarrassment in your voice. Steve let out a chuckle, finding the surprised expression on your face adorable. He didn't understand how you could find it so incredible that he loved you, to be honest, he'd never been very good at hiding it.

"I love you too," Steve repeated with a charming smile plastered on his lips. "And I would appreciate it if you would stay out of harm's way before I can take you to a proper date."

Ahri and Xayah falling in love with Reader

Because Ahri and Xayah always deserve more headcanons. Also, be prepared for an Ahri x Reader One Shot eventually!

Also, they really need to put my precious Xayah and Ahri in more trailers smh.

By the way, I am thinking of *possibly* accepting League of Legends x Reader requests if anyone would be open to it, but that’s a maybe.

Notes: You know the drill. Implied Male Reader, but can be read for either gender, touch on Ahri’s past but mostly fluffy goodness!

(Also, I was legit just finished with this only for me to lose nearly all of poor Xayah’s section, so if it’s a bit weird it’s probably that. I do like how it turned out despite that as I love her and wanted to make it the best I can, but I may re-do it or add to it)

Ahri:

-Ahri is a sharp woman. In fact, no, that’s an understatement. She is so aware of her emotions that the Nine-tailed Fox is more or less aware of her feelings for you straight away, she also knows why she feels this way, and she curses herself for falling in love again when she already killed someone close to her, and she promised herself to never fall for someone again until you, someone who was nice to her despite everything, even when you found out who she really was and got to know her and made her heart that she promised will never open again... open again.

-Everytime you come near her she freezes for a few seconds before relaxing. She’s scared. Actually, she’s low-key terrified. She probably doesn’t know what to do for the first few days when she realises her love for you, alternating between being oddly affectionate and teasing, to being... strangely silent. Not to the point of being rude, but enough to let you know that something is off. During the silent times she’s thinking what it’d be like if she just... ran away whilst you were sleeping. You would be hurt most definitely, yes, but then she at least would know you’d be safe from her. Is it a bit selfish? Quite possibly, but she wants the best for you. Yet, whenever she resolved to leave, she takes one look at your face, and all of her will to leave vanishes.

-Eventually though, she has to face the facts. She loves you, very much so, and she cannot leave. At first she just settles for pining far away, content to just be silent about her affections for you and if you open up to her? That’s great! However… that lasts for a solid day or until someone dares flirt or even be kind enough that it can be mistaken for a romantic gesture. Possessiveness takes hold and she has to hold herself back from snapping the poor person’s neck.

-This this leads to one thing, Ahri deciding to win your heart for herself, and I can safely say that this girl is going all out. At first she thought she can just use her normal charms, but after thinking about it, it… didn’t feel right. She charms those she doesn’t care about and throws away, she wants to court you instead, show you how she feels in a human way. This leads Ahri to scour about how to show someone you like them, and that leads to quite fascinating results.

-You best be prepared for flowers, so long as you aren’t allergic, the ones she gives most are Red Roses, showing Love, but also Delphinium, showing ardent attachment. She also turns up her teasing, but her words and less inclined to make you embarrassed, but instead leave you blushing. Ahri knows just how beautiful she is, and she definitely uses it to her advantage. She also takes plenty of interest in what you do, and definitely wants to learn it if possible!

-She’s a huge romantic, though she won’t admit it easily, so her deepest desire is for you to confess to her, but honestly? The more her love for you grows, the more she doesn’t really care about whether you confess first or not. If she sees that you do like her, or at least has strong grounds to believe so, then she definitely cracks and spills her love for you. How much she adores you, how you always help her feel better when she’s down, and just how deep her feelings are for you… before, with your permission, promptly connecting her lips with yours, and when you finally confess to each other properly? She’s over the moon, and though it may take her a bit to fully come out of her shell and get rid of her worries, she loved you more than anything, and would do anything it takes to make sure you’re safe and happy.

-Just a small bonus, but she definitely dreams of having a family with you, with the two of you just living together in a cozy little home with a few children, but that’s something Ahri only wants to do when everything is sorted and she can guarantee control over herself.

Xayah:

(Look at Xayah being silly and adorable, I legit love her so much-)

-This girl is super in tune with her emotions, and the first emotion she feels is definitely surprise. Like, the Rebel definitely didn’t expect to fall in love. Sure, maybe somewhere down the line when the Vastaya are freed and she accomplished her dreams, maybe then she can settle down, but before that? She never dreamt of it.

-Part of her is scared at first. She has made plenty of enemies, Zed being a pretty good example, and she’s worried you’ll be targeted. Still, despite everything, Xayah is far more willing to accept it than Ahri. Whilst she does stop speaking with you for a day or so, the next day she’s back like nothing happened, crossing her arms and talking and joking with you like nothing happened and soon, everything is back to how it should be.

-Xayah is still Xayah, fact is she can be cold at times and you two still clash despite everything, but it has been starting to become somewhat clear that you have an almost calming essence on the Bird Vastaya. You two balance each other out surprisingly very well most the time, and this causes Xayah to fall further in love with you. She wants an equal in a relationship, and that is definitely what she sees you as.

-Xayah is way more patient than Ahri though, and it is important to note she doesn’t go by Human mating rituals. Instead, Xayah follows her own feelings, and instead goes by how Vastayans court (even if you somehow turn out to be a human, in which case congratulations!) She doesn’t parade her feelings for you, but they are there if one looks at them.

-She takes special interests in what you’re interested in as well. She often just sits down with you and just… listens. She doesn’t interrupt unless it’s to ask a question, and even then it’s an interesting point. She loves watching you talk about something, anything, you find fun, something you’re passionate about and she can’t help but smile really.

-One of the biggest turning points in your relationship is when she gifts you a feather of hers. Sure, she claims it’s just a good luck charm and in that essence she isn’t entirely wrong, but this is a big deal. A HUGE deal, as it essentially means she’s, for the first time, proclaiming she has intentions to get together with you romantically, though she does play it off. Not only that, but… it is nerve wracking for her as well, though she’d sooner toss herself down a ledge than admit it. Expect most Vastayans to cease flirting with you, and some may even try to push you two together! Of course though, there are still a few outliers, and should anyone hit on you during these days, it’s when Xayah gets mad, real mad let’s just say.

-Eventually though, everything clicks into place. She doesn’t say anything, content to instead have you come to her eventually and question her. This… is when she admits everything, and it’s also her lowering the walls she built. She confesses how she didn’t expect her to fall in love this early, how annoyed she felt when she saw others flirt with you, and probably more. The Rebel eventually does ask where this leaves the two of you, whether the two of you will be together, and when you smile and confess you love her too… She smiles a loving smile, aimed solely at you.

-“Alright then, Mieli/Miela (My Love), let’s sort everything around so we can look forward to out future together, alright?”

i just had a dream about the super mario bros movie

It was surprisingly good -- in fact, it's probably my favorite Mario movie. It starts out as an adaptation of the original game with all the old characters and everything (except Bowser is played by Jack Black), but then after they escape from the castle there are some weird cuts that imply the real story has started happening already. The cuts don't necessarily make sense narratively, because what we're seeing seems to be taking place before anything else; I guess this is part of why it reminded me of Inception.

The plot involves Mushroom Kingdom being invaded by bullet ants, who have been trained to do their work by flying bullets. These Bullet Ants are actually dark magic users who were originally going to invade Flying Island instead, but it turned into Mushroom Kingdom when something went wrong. So now there are these guys whose whole thing is flying around shooting stuff at people, except it works on mushrooms too? What happened here? And how did the bullet ant magicians get the idea for this if they were really planning to go somewhere else? Who knows! Anyway . . .

Mario gets mind-controlled by one of them so he flies off like a regular bullet, which makes him look kind of threatening until he lands back down whereupon everyone thinks "oh yeah this guy will totally save us" even though this particular Mario does not seem to know much of anything besides making fireballs at enemies 10 feet away. But anyway it's fine because eventually things start working out and also you realize that the way the bullet ants fly isn't exactly normal, since they can hover and rotate while moving forward, sort of like helicopters. They've apparently gone through the trouble of designing special helmets with these abilities and training many other little creatures called "helmet fairies" to help out. This might sound dumb or ridiculous but somehow it didn't come across as such in context. Maybe because it made perfect sense once you realized how well everything fit together. Also, they used lots of low-quality CGI, so it seemed less lifelike than the classic Bullet Ant designs would suggest, which helped reinforce this feeling. Somehow this worked in favor of the absurdity rather than against it.

The film ends with a fight between Mario and Bowser, who is more powerful than ever thanks to having learned to control the power of gravity. He still uses his hammer and chain whip as weapons, but now those also affect the ground beneath him, including sending giant chunks upward to crush anyone below him. The rest of the final battle takes place inside a cave with no light source visible above, and our heroes keep getting hit with big rocks and knocked backwards, etc., until finally they find some lightning bolts and use those to defeat Bowser and thus set themselves free. Now they go home happy knowing they saved their kingdom. At least, unless you count Super Luigi as a main character, in which case they never left home to begin with, so why should they celebrate? All very mysterious. Either way, the world feels better. You feel glad for everyone involved. Even Mario himself looks satisfied.

screw it have the cosmere/transformers thoughts that plague me

spoilers ahoy

i'm willing to bet that whatever Adonalsium was, Primus and Unicron may be vaguely similar entities depending on interpretation. obviously the cosmere belongs exclusively to the Shards, but if it's a dwarf galaxy, then perhaps, just perhaps, Cybertron's galaxy could be its neighbor

(please picture Adonalsium and Primus studiously ignoring each other across lightyears of empty space bc they have their own problems thank you very much that other god over there is minding their own business)

Unicron may not have been strong enough to eat Adonalsium straight up, given that we know he can be defeated by Primus/various forces vaguely allied with Primus. but the scattered, weakened Shards warring with one another... hmmm the cosmere might look like a nice snack now

IF we go with the understanding that they are similar but alien entities to one another, then would there not be an entire system of "investiture" equivalence for Cybertron? you've got outliers and point-one percenters, you've got the Primal artifacts of great magic power, you've got everything about the Allspark, the Spiritual Realm Well of Sparks, the various properties of energon and sentio metallico and transwarp energy, etc. i'm willing to bet that there's an entire Cybertronian paradigm to realmatic theory that could be explored by perhaps a very very lost member of the Seventeenth Shard that has a similar setup but different power source to the cosmere

and if that's the case, could Transformers even intersect at all with the cosmere's magic systems, when they run on their own system? could they absorb or be affected by investiture if they're full of energon and powered by a spark? would they be immune to any invested influence, but likewise be unable to use their own outlier abilities on an invested object, or a Shard-influenced or Adonalsium-created thing?

i'm not going to touch on Era 3 or 4, there's already so much to explore with "low tech" cosmere lore that i feel like bringing in computers and spaceships would just blow my mind and provide so many cool alt modes for Cybertronians to scan.... (that said i really need to read TotES)

spren manifest as metal in the Physical Realm. is a Transformer spark simply a powerful spren manifesting/forging a metal body in the Physical Realm?

is a Transformer's frame simply really fancy Shardplate?? (and didn't Brandon say that it would be extremely hard but possible for Radiants in Shardplate to combine?? helloooo gestalts)

could a Cybertronian bond a spren? would it function like a Headmaster/Targetmaster binary bond or like a proper Nahel bond??

would the Magnus Hammer be able to influence the Stormfather?

also coppermind Matrix. it's orange and everything

yknow that TFP episode where Optimus was dying (as usual) and then the hammer remade him bigger better faster stronger? something something he's a Returned (even moreso if you consider he's canonically one of the reincarnated original Thirteen)

actually i think i could argue that anyone upgraded to a Prime by the Matrix is a form of Returned

would LOVE to see a shade from Hell react to a Transformer. likewise would love to see anyone in the cosmere deal with an undead mech, be it ghost, Terrorcon, or Allspark-fueled

i think kandra wouldn't be any more gross to the average Cybertronian than any other organic, they're all made of meat and bones and recycled organic matter anyway. they'd probably think of kandra as organic Mutacons?

they'd probably find the color draining effects of Breath very morbid. after all, their own corpses go grey. it seems fitting

would cold constructed mecha be reforged into their spark-determined true form given enough investiture?

could a Shardblade cut through Cybertronian armor? assuming a mech is forged from cybermatter/sentio metallico, the metal flesh of a living planetary god, i'd like to think that may register... a little bit special, in realmatic theory

even if their armor was just normal metal, how much aluminum is in their makeup?

and if a Shardblade can slice through, would it deaden the limb or just cut it in half?

relatedly, could an Allomancer burn shavings from a mech's armor? if they're made of cybermatter instead of regular metal, what kind of effects would that have?

could an Allomancer steelpush off a mech?? would this mess with their internals? how precise could an Allomancer get with what particular body part/how deep into the frame they're targeting? a human weighs nothing next to a mech, but could they take one down by steelpushing the circuitry of the processor?

could energon store stormlight? or does it already have its own "investiture" equivalent as crystal blood of gods

photonic crystals can store sparks, so could they capture a spren?

Lockdown would collect Hemalurgic spikes

Sebarial and Swindle would be instant besties

Nightblood and Starscream. picture it

would Kelsier punch Rung

the Ghostbloods would try to take advantage of sudden giant alien metal warriors showing up out of nowhere. i'd like to think it would be a comedy of errors in miscommunication and accidentally thwarted plans until Kelsier throws up his hands and decides to call it quits on these guys

Soundwave would visit Roshar and have the same "it's the most beautiful music in the wooooooorld *sob*" breakdown as that one G1 episode upon hearing the rhythms and tones, i think he'd absolutely be able to hear them naturally

and if you read this far, the real final reason i've thought so much about this...

i literally just want to see Hoid have to deal with any Cybertronian. i seriously cannot pick a favorite individual or scenario. Hoid ending up on the Lost Light? Hoid plopped on Cybertron and anointing himself Prime's Wit of the functionist regime bc by god they need someone to knock them down a peg? Hoid discovering a frozen Skyfire or Megatron on some cosmere planet? Hoid collecting minicons? Hoid adding another esoteric power to his list and getting possessed by the Cube ala RotF?

omg omg ok i fucking love u.

first and foremost, for anyone non-chandler reading this, we need to establish that there are a lot of antisemitic stereotypes when it comes to vampire tropes. the greed, the lust, the seduction and immorality- all of these stereotypes have harmed the jewish community and, as we know, davey is jewish. it’s important to keep this in mind when moving forward.

when i think of david being a vampire, i don’t think he’s necessarily evil or a monster. i think he would be very low-key about it actually; he doesn’t draw attention to himself, he doesn’t like extravagance, he doesn’t live in the past- david’s philosophy is to change with the times and keep his head down. other vampires are very stuck in their ways, but i think since davey was turned when he was so young, being eternally 20 years old to him means that he needs to fit in with the current young adult generation.

like the tropes, though, he’s more of a nightdweller, BUT i don’t like the tropes that say vampires die in sunlight. personally i like it better when sunlight is just vaguely uncomfortable and unpleasant; davey prefers night time and has really sensitive skin.

ok chandler we already talked about this but: david always has his fangs out. they aren’t retractable. the thing is that humans will look at him, and they’ll see the fangs, but they won’t notice them. i like my vampires with a little bit of mind control so davey just,, controls everyone around him not to notice them, whether he realizes he’s doing it or not. he veils as a normal human but when humans look at him, they’re drawn in because something is off, something doesn’t feel right, something doesn’t make sense with him- but they can’t put their finger on it. it adds to the mystery that follows him around, though humans are naturally inclined to search for what’s different about david because they’re basically, on a biological level, prey.

speaking of the mind control: david survives on human blood! but he doesn’t kill his victims often. he uses the mind-control-mind-warp-whatever-you-want-to-call-it. none of his victims remember what happens. on the rare occasion he Does kill it’s only someone who 1) pisses him off really fucking bad or 2) someone who is a “bad person” by david’s moral standards.

i feel like davey would be a really good ghostwriter, so that’s how he provides for himself; writing all night, staying in all day unless he just wants to go out,, it’s a lonely life, but it’s not terrible. he specializes in historical fiction period pieces because he Knows the history and can provide a really authentic retelling with niche details that would otherwise need a lot of research.

as far as a vamp goes, he’s very fashion forward but still pedestrian. some of the others he knows would be the ones to wear full early-19th century garb in public, but if davey isn’t wearing jeans and a hoodie you’ll find him in trousers and sweaters. he’s just a very chill yet lightly academic dude.

mans has like 9 bachelors degrees because he knows how to manipulate the paperwork to get into universities with a new identity each time (and even if he didn’t, he could just mind-warp the registrar and boom! he’s in a degree plan). he just likes learning and if he’s gonna be on earth for a very long time he might as well make something of it

i really think that he’s kind of lonely. he has casual friends at [insert whatever university he’s conned himself into this time here] but nothing really,, substantial? so jack is the first and only human he meets who really has an affect on him romantically.
