Au where everything is the same except instead of Snape hearing the prophecy it's regulus but because he isn't a shitstain(tm), he immediately tells Dumbledore what voldemort plans to do not because he has a massive crush on james BUT BECAUSE KILLING PEOPLE IS WRONG SNIVELLUS!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE ONLY SAVING THEM TO WIN POINTS WITH THE GIRL WHO YOU USED A RACIAL SLUR AGAINST!
Cue various shenanigans where everyone still thinks regulus is evil but he's actually just anxiety ridden gay twink who can't say no and was forced into joining a cult by his parents who is trying his best to keep the love of his life(james), the love of his love's life(lily) and their child alive because he just wants james to be happy whether it is with him or not and if that means betraying a dark lord who literally holds your life in their hands and spying for dollar store Gandalf then so be it!
Bonus points if it ends up being jegulily

harry potter is so funny honestly bc ultimately yes it’s just a fairly run of the mill middle grade mystery fantasy series but the thing that really sets it apart isn’t the magic, it’s that it’s a series starring only jocks.
like there was a whole house for the smart kids and not a single one of the main characters was in it. blows my mind that there’s a whole bit in one of the books where harry is gifted a mysterious potentially dangerous enchanted broom while there is a suspected murderer who is thought to be actively trying to assassinate him and when hermione is like idk maybe don’t just immediately use the potentially cursed mystery gift he low key goes ballistic on her bc he cares more about getting to play with cool sports gear more than he cares about, like, being alive. and the book fully supports him in that!! the narration is like, isn’t hermione so crazy for that. she should’ve just let him play with his new sports stuff. how dare she imply that this mysterious object that was given to him from an unknown sender might be tied to the larger plot against harry’s life despite the fact that that’s the main conflict we’re dealing with rn.
idk it’s just so funny to me that hp got such traction with nerds when the entire series is actually just about exploring the question “what if the meathead star athlete of your high school tried to solve mysteries. and also there was magic.”

Queen of Tears is so interesting cause i've never dealt with two really complex leads like this in romcom (i mean it is funny)
i've said it before but Haein and Hyunwoo know each other very well but don't know each other at all (i don't know if i've ever seen communication issues this bad).
Losing the baby clearly drove them apart. She blamed herself and put up high walls. He wears his heart on his sleeve and cried over it. We can argue that he should've comforted her in that moment but at the same time she clearly knew he was upset so why didn't she go to him? Haein thought she had no right to grieve and consequently Hyunwoo thought she didn't grieve at all. The moment where they needed each other more than ever- the moment they should've been together they both fucked up.
The core of the issue is that they can't read each other's mind, this is literally said at the beginning of 6- they love each other dearly but also tripping over each in the process.
Outside of Hyunwoo jumping up and down at her diagnosis and faking his way into her will (which was painfully cruel and soooo funny) It's very clear that this is a two person game. Although I always interpreted Hyunwoo's joy as the same as the mistress of a wealthy man who is just waiting for him to die so she can get the money, (it's mean but most times the master either sucks or he's naive as hell and she has no reason to mourn) and at that point Hyunwoo's in the same situation.
Why didn't Haein defend him in front of her relatives? Why scold him publicly in front of the employees? She does a lot of things behind the scenes but good intentions can only go so far if object of those affections is ignorant of the full story. The same thing happens in episode 6, she is trying to protect Hyunwoo from her family but without telling him so he is ignorant of the big picture. Why wasn't Hyunwoo honest with his feelings? Why is he always assuming the worst when she never explicitly says something? We see he tries to talk to her (it fails) but his fear of upsetting her leads him to do otherwise cruel things to keep her happy.
Which is also why the divorce paper is so interesting. That paper was one of the best things he’s done. He was completely justified in writing that. It breaks Haein's heart but severing ties like that was way healthier than him forcing himself to stay in this marriage and pamper her with fake love.
One thing I will admire this piece for is the role reversal, like i'm seeing so many typical fl tropes on Hyunwoo and ml tropes on Haein. You ever read one those isekai or time reverse manwha's were the fl goes back in time to get a divorce but falls in love with her partner again? yeah this is the same exact thing.

“I’m gonna give you a chance to run, and go tell every single person who you know about what just happened today. I want you to tell Rat, I want you to tell everybody. This… this is what I’m capable of now.”
Crappy drawing I made as quickly as I could, I dunno exactly all the lore in the Content SMP but one too many @doctor4t videos has done this to me and my curiosity—

sending this to both you and arson because I want multiple opinions: in the theoretical finitar mpreg fic does fintan or dimitar get pregnant (asking for a friend)
I'm thinking Dimitar. My thought process is that while elves seem to be similar to humans, and therefore their limitations are slightly tied to human biology, ogres seem more varied and you could more easily explain a male pregnancy--this is, of course, if you were to do a non trans mpreg situation. However, if you were to make either of them trans this is less important, but I wanted to have some options
I'm also thinking that, to be nice to them, an ogre would have an easier time being pregnant with a half-elven baby than an elf would with a half-ogre one. Though you could also argue that since this is a mixed-species baby perhaps it's strenuous either way, should that be the route you want to take
Another thought: I'm presuming (perhaps incorrectly) that this is happening when Fintan is no longer a councillor but Dimitar is a king. In which case Dimitar being pregnant creates additional tension because he's a public figure, he can't hide it forever. Especially since he doesn't wear clothes. Could have a period of hiding the pregnancy, then of hiding the other parent because if the council found out he was pregnant with Fintan's kid? The guy who'd killed one of their councillors and was terrorizing their world? Could completely jeopardize their newly found peace, and he doesn't want his people at risk.
But if that's not the route you want to go, Fintan would be a great option for a secret pregnancy/baby because as someone disconnected from larger society, he doesn't need to be in the spotlight. He can stay in hiding until baby is born and then they can keep baby hidden.
So really either one works in different ways, but for some reason I'm leaning towards Dimitar. I think because it's less stereotypical or less expected, and that makes it more interesting to me. Hope that helps!
