Soda grew up in a very poor family with just his mom and sister. His dad (mother's boyfriend at the time) just... walked out and never came back. His sister has a different dad than him and his mother got a lot of shit for it. Despite all that, he grew up fairly happy.

Scientists use inorganic zinc-based compounds to vastly improve the capacity of sodium- and potassium-ion batteries.

Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are, by far, the most widely used type of rechargeable batteries, spanning numerous applications. These include consumer electronics, electric vehicles (e.g., Tesla cars), renewable energy systems, and spacecraft.

Although LIBs deliver the best performance in many aspects when compared to other rechargeable batteries, they have their fair share of disadvantages. Lithium is a rather scarce resource, and its price will rise quickly with its availability decreasing.

Moreover, lithium extraction and improperly discarded LIBs pose huge environmental challenges as the liquid electrolytes commonly used are toxic and flammable.

The shortcomings of LIBs have motivated researchers worldwide to look for alternative energy storage technologies. Sodium (Na)-ion batteries (NIBs) and potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) are two rapidly emerging options that are cost-efficient as well as sustainable. Both NIBs and KIBs are projected to be billion-dollar industries by the end of the decade.

Governments across the world, including that of the US, Austria, Hong Kong, Germany, and Australia, are promoting research and innovation in this field. Moreover, companies such as Faradion Limited, TIAMAT SAS, and HiNa Battery Technology Co. Ltd., are investing heavily in this technology. Both Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited and Build Your Dreams are expected to introduce electric vehicle battery packs with NIBs soon.

Unfortunately, however, the capacity of the electrode materials used in NIBs and KIBs still lags behind that of LIBs. Against this backdrop, a research team led by Professor Shinichi Komaba from Tokyo University Science (TUS), Japan, has been working to develop groundbreaking high-capacity electrode materials for NIBs and KIBs.

In their latest study, published in Advanced Energy Materials on November 9, 2023, they report a new synthesis strategy for nanostructured “hard carbon” (HC) electrodes that deliver unprecedented performance. The study was co-authored by Mr. Daisuke Igarashi, Ms. Yoko Tanaka, and Junior Associate Professor Ryoichi Tatara from TUS, and Dr. Kei Kubota from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan.

But what is HC and why is it useful for NIBs and KIBs? Unlike other forms of carbon, such as graphene or diamond, HC is amorphous; it lacks a well-defined crystalline structure. Additionally, it is strong and resistant. In an earlier 2021 study, Prof. Komaba and his colleagues had found a way to use magnesium oxide (MgO) as a template during the synthesis of HC electrodes for NIBs, altering their final nanostructure.

The process had led to the formation of nanopores within the electrodes upon MgO removal, which, in turn, had vastly increased their capacity to store Na+ ions.

Motivated by their previous findings, the researchers explored whether compounds made from zinc (Zn) and calcium (Ca) could also be useful as nano-templates for HC electrodes. To this end, they systematically investigated different HC samples made using zinc oxide (ZnO) and calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and compared their performance with the ones synthesized using magnesium oxide (MgO).

Preliminary experiments showed that ZnO was particularly promising for the negative electrode of NIBs. Accordingly, the researchers optimized the concentration of ZnO embedded in the HC matrix during synthesis, demonstrating a reversible capacity of 464 mAh g–1 (corresponding to NaC4.8) with a high initial Coulombic efficiency of 91.7% and a low average potential of 0.18 V vs. Na+/Na.

The team achieved remarkable results by incorporating this powerful electrode material into an actual battery. “The NIB fabricated using the optimized ZnO-templated HC as the negative electrode exhibited an energy density of 312 Wh kg–1,” highlights Prof. Komaba.

“This value is equivalent to the energy density of certain types of currently commercialized LIBs with LiFePO4 and graphite and is more than 1.6 times the energy density of the first NIBs (192 Wh kg–1), which our laboratory reported back in 2011.” Notably, the ZnO-templated HC also exhibited a significant capacity of 381 mAh g–1 when incorporated into a KIB, further showcasing its potential.

Taken together, the results of this study show that using inorganic nanoparticles as a template to control the pore structure may provide an effective guideline for the development of HC electrodes. “Our findings prove that HCs are promising candidates for negative electrodes as an alternative to graphite,” concludes Prof. Komaba.

Shaping hard carbon to obtain exceptional large-capacity electrodes for sodium-ion batteries: It is possible to incorporate nanopores in hard carbon by using zinc oxide as a template during its synthesis. In turn, this could make NIBs viable for practical applications, such as the development of sustainable consumer electronics and electric vehicles as well as low carbon footprint energy storage systems for storing energy from solar and wind farms.

It’s that time for more Poe headcanons! More bullshit because I miss my tiny boy!

Aoyama: one of the only 'normal' smelling ones. he defs uses french parfum but also he probably smells like heated metal and cheese all the time. Energy doesnt really have a smell til it interacts with gas so i think he probably just smells like however he wants to.

Mina: IM SORRY TO SAY BUT MISS MAAM IS STINKY AS HECK. mina is an acid producer and therefore smells acidic--and going by what we know of acid, she smells PUNGENT. dairy-like but also sour. BUT her body is probably evolved to be antacidic and she's a gymnast. after reading like, 2 research papers, gymansts chalk (magnesium carbonate) neutralizes acids (caus its 10.5 ph) and so i think while she does kinda smell, it wouldnt be AS bad even if she's training. its possible for her to wear perfume if she wanted, since usually they're around the 7 pH range.

Iida: ok i had to wiki this but i dont think he smells like much? he faintly smells like exhaust--but when he overuses his quirk and inevitably combusts whatever engines he uses, the chemical reaction creates sulfur which would make him smell like rotten eggs. otherwise he smells like orange juice (his choice of 'fuel'), sweat, and cologne.

Uraraka: I think she just smells like mochi lol. gravity doesnt really alter her body so i think ochako's normal--if a bit sweet bc she generally seems to like sweet stuff in canon

Ojiro: OK HES JUST GOT A WEIRD LUMP OF FLESH ON HIS BACK FOR A TAIL THO LIKE?? IDK HE SMELLS NORMAL?? maybe a bit like spray-on shampoo and deodorant, but that's it. does a third limb of pure muscle smell like anything? no? godspeed, mashirao, godspeed.

Kaminari: he smells like ozone. He's probably crazy static since he generates the electricity inside of him constantly and is canonically a terrific electricity conduit, so unlike aoyama he'd definitely smell like frying electricity. also. (minor manga spoilers) he bathes enough to be able to call midoriya stinky, so he definitely has basic hygiene. other than that i think he smells like sweaty leather bc of his hero costume and candy.

Kirishima: not quirk related but he probably just smells like sweat. and like, meat. maybe dirt. i love this boy but i'm also a sheeple bc i believe in the hc that he smells like axe body spray. and really good conditioner bc of how fucked up his hair would be by now if he wasn't taking very good care of it.

Kouda: smells like animals. like. bunnies and hamsters and birds and stuff. its not bad per se, but he definitely smells like he's constantly hanging out with the city's local rodent and avian population. other than that he probably just smells neutral/like nothing, since that's more approachable to the prey animals that he seems to favor.

Satou: baked goods and candy.

Shouji: I think Shouji is probably the most hygiene-conscious of all the kids in 1-A. Because of the amount of open/accessible body parts like eyes, nose, ears on his limbs--he probably takes very good care in showering and all that stuff to prevent random infections or just generally damaging any of his senses. Dude's chill--smells like mild soap and laundry detergent.

Jirou: Ah, not gonna lie she probably smells a bit like burnt electrical wires. She's a bit like Kaminari in terms of smell, except her's have that more 'metallic' and burning sharpness whenever she uses the stunning part of her quirk. Other than that... probably also leather because of her hero costume, or just like the inside of an instrument shop (wood, ivory, brass, etc.)

Sero: Packaging type. you know when you pull like, a large strip of tape and--? yeah? that. smells like tack. other than that, excellent hygiene! bergamot and pine or whatever.

Tokoyami: he smells like bird, but only faintly. dude mostly smells a little musty caus he probably never airs out his room. Dark shadow is described like "dark energy" which, similar to aoyama, kaminari, and jirou, probably makes the air around him smell different bc thats gas interacting with energy. Aside from that, he most likely smells neutral. (... maybe with a bit of leather and metal because thats just how his fashion probably works)

Todoroki: Sweat, but not like, a lot. He definitely doesn't smell bad after battles because steam kills bacteria like, fairly effectively, and would eliminate most foul odors. I think he'd smell like Expensive herbal soap or whatever most of the time. He doesn't seem like the type to be unhygienic.

Hagakure: ????? fuck dude she probably tries her best to smell like nothing, caus if her whole schtick is being invisible then its probably best if she just smelt like nothing. imagine being a villain and then promptly getting kicked in the nuts by a gust of wind that smells like strawberry peach.

Mineta: i cant explain it but just... warm grape juice. his... orbs. have oily/sticky like substances to act as adhesive and ill be damned before u tell me he doesn't smell like anything even remotely artificial-grape-flavoring adjacent. he also smells of like,, axe body spray but stronger.

Yaoyorozu: herbal tea on a normal day. most likely the digestive kind just because i think thats the most practical tea to have with a quirk like hers thats reliant on eating large quantities of food. other than that, i think she smells like basic weaponry-grade materials like iron, polished wood, copper, and gunpowder.

Bakugou: stinky boy. canonically, his hygiene's great but that's likely for a reason. he sweats a lot and excessively, and while his sweat is described as 'nitroglycerine-like' it doesn't mean it smells like caramel. the common description for nitroglycerine according to the brittanica encyclopedia is that it's toxic and has a 'sweet, burning taste'. the sweet scent is described as sharp at best--so while its totally okay if you wanna think of his sweat as caramel-like, i just wanted to clear up the misconception that thats what it factually is. ASSUMING his sweat still has a similar molecular makeup to nitroglycerine and has nitric dioxide, it would smell sickly sweet, if slightly neutral due to the nature of sweat itself being odorless when clean. other than that? bkg is definitely just a smelly, smelly boy. smells like sun and smoke and teenage body odor and burnt plastic.

Midoriya: SMELLY STINKY. deku sweats like, a lot. not only does ofa expend a ridiculous amount of energy and probably strains his muscles like crazy (forcing him to expel all that lactic acid in the form of sweat), but he also spends a lot of time just outside in general. science slightly aside, deku smells a lot like grass and dirt and just,,, the outdoors in general. he, like kaminari, smells very strongly of ozone (clean, chlorine-like) because of the sheer amount of energy output OfA has. Not expounding past the manga, Black Whip is described as a quirk that produces tendrils of pure black energy. This probably creates the same effect/smell as an area struck by lightning.

10 unpopular opinions about Horde Prime

Uh boy! @entrapdaknation I thought you’d never ask :D

(I do have a lot of hc’s about Him)

1) My first unpopular opinion is that Horde Prime is not an eldritch monster. The way I’m personally envisioning him is that used to be a person once, a mortal. He didn’t steal a body, the clones are what he used to look like. He had been a brilliant scientist that figured out how to transfer his mind to a new body and as such He discovered immortality. Since dying is part of the “human” condition, the loss of mortality means He lost one of the fundamental “human” experiences with it.

Death is sort of the finish line for all of human experience if you think about it and eliminating it removes the motivation for a lot of things. Mortals have a hunger for experiencing things because of the ever present deadline over our heads that makes the time we have in this world precious. Horde Prime, or whoever he used to be, by eliminating that made it so that with unlimited time, every second became essentially worthless. He has all the seconds in the universe theoretically. He could procrastinate and take all the time he’s ever wanted do something up until the heat death of the universe if He so pleased. Without mortality, the fear of a deadline no longer motivated Him do certain things. This produced an alienation from his own species, it made his experience so far removed from it that in time, he saw himself as a distinct and different entity from his originating species. He was no longer running the same race as everyone else, why bother keeping up the pace or even running at all? With this break in the pacing of his life, connecting to any “mortal” became useless as well, since every connection this Newly Immortal Prime would have made would be transient and these connection were destined to fail because of time. Mortals died, Prime did not. In time, he would have grieved over and accumulated so many losses that he would have stopped trying. Why bond with Mayflies?

Even his own created brothers died in time (he didn't want to create a rival, they were not granted his immortality) so why bother relating to them anymore, they are specs of dust in his lifetime. There is no point in naming them anymore, so many of them have lived and died, their existences meshing into each other. They stopped being brothers and started being tools, there to serve a purpose. That is all an immortal Prime would have needed of them anymore. Connection then loss, new connection and loss compounded over time until it hardened Him not to even attempt it at all anymore.

Prime is a unique creature and as such, he is so desperately alone in his experience the disconnect between Him and everyone else was a rift widening with each passing lifetime. No one else can relate. He could no longer connect to anyone since functionally speaking, he no longer had anything in common with anyone. He has no peers and NO Equal. He tried to do relieve his solitude by creating His clones; at least those had parts of Him in common but their mortality made them transient things, ephemeral. It was even more jarring to see something that has your face but is still just as alien, had an experience so differing from Yours. They made Prime feel even more alienated. So he decided they should have no experience at all…

By becoming Immortal, Prime froze his natural evolution at the point where he became immortal. In his experience mortals lived, died, changed throughout their lives whilst he became this fixed point of the universe. To make matters worse, it is suggested that he loses memories upon swapping bodies and we get to my second unpopular Prime opinion:

2) Horde Prime has dementia. He is not a creature that was born immortal, he made himself immortal (Altered Carbon style) and as such is not adapted to it. Biologically his brain can only contain the experience of one lifetime and when he switches bodies, a part of his life has to be left behind. In time he has left so many things behind that it becomes strange to wonder what Prime even is anymore. It becomes one of those “ship of Theseus” paradoxes. He changes bodies, in times loses memories… Is even the same person anymore? All of his former experiences are stored in bodies bottled up on the ship, he only keeps what is relevant each time he moves on to a new body, the details of his mortal experience become less and less relevant and so he discards those too eventually. With each transfer Prime loses himself. In time, he forgets why even started this conflict across the stars or what his original name was when he was mortal. He forgets having ever been mortal at all. His memories of the past have been copied, transferred, corrupted, copied over whilst corrupted... It was so insidious that He didn't realize it was happening at first. It took time for him to realize something was off and to realize that His memories are losing quality or are misshapen... there is a dread there, to not know what is real and what has happened... He embraces denial and repeats to Himself that his memories are accurate and he Knows all and Sees all. His recollections are what happened. He wills it so! He declares it even though he is aware that different copies of that memory exist in the Hivemind and that his memories have mixed and mashed together, some recollections are isolated, disturbed and broken, the data corrupted in time, a source of confusion. He needs to believe in the veritability of his own experience for anything to make sense.

3) Horde Prime is a creature that came to being in the dusk of the First Ones decaying Empire. His planet had been conquered by them who knows how long ago but all empires fail and fracture in time, so the First Ones fought amongst each other to gain dominance over factions of themselves, practicing scorched earth tactics and leaving chaos in their wake. Mara taking their main weapon and deterrent against all out war - The Heart of Etheria - away catalyzed the decay. As an aside, I like to believe time flows differently in Despondos than it does in outer space, a thousand years on Etheria is different than however long Prime was alive. Hordak spent 20 years on Etheria but it may as well have been ten times that or more for Prime and the outer universe.

The fall of the First Ones Empire was messy and left a void of power in its wake. They used magic to fight each other and when all of that was consumed in their technology no longer worked (which is why magic is so forgotten in the present). They started fighting each other with “conventional” weapons of mass destruction leaving nothing but devastation in their wake. The former colonies fought amongst each other after the demise of the First Ones and war was followed by more war albeit on a smaller scale.

A ‘younger’ Prime would have been a creature of the aftermath of that devastating conflict, a conflict that decimated the FO and the colonies almost completely. He rose to prominence due to his preaching of “peace” and “order” and he may have even meant it.

He slowly but steadily expanded his influence over the remnants of that old Empire fighting the survivors of that conflict and gaining dominion over the “known universe”… (Known by whom you ask? The First Ones of course!)

After a conflict so devastating, many would’ve welcomed His peace. In the beginning, a lot of the worlds of his empire would’ve joined him willingly if only because he was an agent of stability.

Under Prime’s control, worlds could no longer fight amongst themselves.

In a way he kept them safe.

We can see that he didn’t chip or destroy all of the worlds under his dominion in the show.

These worlds did not need to fight their own wars anymore, Prime did it for them with his Horde of disposable Clones. In time these worlds however were turned from vassals of His to subordinates…

sooo that’s how 4) the name of the space bat species was forgotten, they were just a horde of clones… Horde Clones…And Prime was merely the Primary Horde Clone… No longer an individual.

He doesn’t remember his own name… It’s been that long and the memory of who he was and what he was called is probably stored in one of the bodies at the back of the Velvet Glove under irrelevant and outdated information. For all intents and purposes He is the face of this Horde of His… He also lacks individuality and personhood… Whereas his clones are less than people in His conception, He is more than just a person… He is all of them, he is the whole Horde… (I am legion)

Which is why 5) He stores bits of himself in each and every clone so that it is easier to access it because no one body can contain all he needs… Functionally, he exists in more than one body at the same time which is why He is convinced that he knows all and sees all because he receives input and data from his clones at all time. Virtually he sees through their eyes as well as his own. He is no longer a creature stuck in one body. He is active in all of them at all times but only takes control of them when needed. That is why the brothers are convinced they are parts of the whole… Because functionally they ARE merely parts of Horde Prime… Like each individual clone is an organ of the complex creature that was what Horde Prime had become. That is why there is no place for them to become individuals, a finger has no right to be an individual creature when it’s part of your body.

6) Prime doesn’t recognize Mara in season five at all. He never actually fought Mara but he doesn't remember that. He merely ponders whether he had fought her at some point… He doesn’t remember and it’s no longer relevant…

It’s been so long ago that Prime doesn’t even remember the First Ones anymore. It’s no longer relevant information. It’s ancient history. What he does however keep with Him is his inherent suspicion and fear of Magic. The FO fought amongst themselves using magic; his world - while he was mortal, somewhere in his formative years, had witnessed magical weaponry and it may have been what decimated his species as the FO took control of his world. (it would explain why he would start cloning... there were too few of his kind left to be biologically viable...)

He doesn’t concretely remember any of that but he still feels suspicion and fear of magic and magical weaponry which is why he fled Krytis.

7) Horde Prime wanted an end.

After so many lifetimes, even He was tired and wanted it to stop. He has lived everything, forgotten everything then relived it over and over again ad infinitum. He no longer remembered why He had started doing this He just knew He had to keep going because it had been important at some point but he doesn't remember why and is tired of it.

8) He didn’t come up with his own religion… It was something that happened…

Horde Prime was a creature so impressive that his own followers – (at first the aliens under his control…) Started worshiping Him for his many achievements and His imortality. As these people worshiped Him... their Regent... their Ruler... His own clones started worshiping Him as well, first as a great leader and then… as a God and Creator. The change wasn’t sudden. It was a process and little by little it was built over time and changed to fit the current agenda at the time… just like real-life religions, the cult of Prime grew and evolved. In time, Horde Prime Himself forgot that he wasn’t a God, all of His current and recent (and uncorrupted) memories told Him he was. It was what everybody else told Him He was.... He no longer remembered not being God which is how He started believing it Himself.

9) Horde Prime’s cruelty towards His clones comes from his indifference and not from personal evil and malice. They mean too little to Him for Him to bother personally torturing them. They are like the pencils on my desk, there for me to write with when I need them and I might rip the handle off one when fiddling with it because I need something to do with my hands, not because I hate that pen in particular but because it was there and I'm bored…

10) Horde Prime didn’t really care all that much about sending this one particular clone on the frontline to be a cannon fodder. It was one of his attendants (the guys reading things off screens because Horde Prime likes hearing his own voice) that fainted during a particularly extensive conflict which signaled that it was time to get one last use out of that body by having it fire weapons at the enemy on the frontline until it was mowed down.

He didn’t care about “worthlessness” or “defectiveness”. That event may have been important for Hordak -personally - but for Horde Prime it may have been a Thursday, who knows?

What marked the clone that became Hordak as important enough to be worth being catalogued by Prime, so much so that decades later he had a note about him in the database - (and the ridiculous DMV photo – seriously? They have their photos in the database on their profiles? They’re clones!!! They all look the same *Facepalm* why would that be in the profiles? Why the hell would they even have profiles? sigh) - was the way in which this particular little brother disappeared.

The portal event that marked his disappearance was an unknown energy event the likes of which Prime had never encountered before (or didn't remember encountering - same thing really).

It was new and exciting data which is why it was relevant and so he noted it somewhere in the ships databanks. That’s what Horde Prime had catalogued ... not this particular defective clone but the mysterious way in which the clone disappeared.

So, there we go! 10 of my unpopular had cannons about Horde Prime! Hope you like them!

Jonathan suffered an injury to the larynx from Croc which caused an external traumatic dysphonia

Neglecting the deep hematoma resulted in his permanent voice disorder

The resulting movement disorder of his larynx causes breathing difficulties

That's why, among the other obvious thing, he needs his filter - air always seems too thin without it.

Crane's first aerosol was based on Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen

The test subject's brain interpreted the increase in carbon dioxide levels in it's blood as a decrease in oxygen levels

Symptoms included fast and deep breathing and an increased heart rate and hallucinations that don't necessarily have to show you terrible things

Due to the sudden change in the body, which cannot be fully assigned, it automatically reacts with anxiety

So it mostly triggered an indefinable fear

His second gas consisted only of quinuclidinyl benzilate, which caused hallucinations

After further experimentation, Jonathan found some irregularities in the BDNF protein in people suffering from PTSD

From that fact he drew: if tweaked a certain way by some kind of chemical agent, an alteration in the BDNF levels in the basal lateral amygdala would bring up personal fears caused by past traumatic events

So Jonathan somehow combined BZ (quinuclidinyl benzilate) gas, Carbogen gas and the chemical agents that specifically could target an alter, CRH (an neurotransmitter involved in causing feelings of dread and anxiety), BDNF and created his first real fear aerosol.

1) How many complete fics/one shots do you have(that you have not published (Yet)? Nothing completely finished but two or three that are close.

2) How many WIPS do you have right now? Not including requests, I have 32 fics, chapters, or AUs actively being worked on at the moment. My mind can't stay focused on one thing for too long so I jump around to where ever the inspiration takes me.

3) Do you take writing requests or write original ideas, or both? Both

4) If you do take requests, how many do you currently have? I have 24 requests currently in my inbox but I am always open to accepting more!

5) How many fandoms do you write for? DC, Marvel, Star Wars, The Killing, and Altered Carbon. I have a few other fandoms I am considering dipping my toe into, but I need to catch up on some of the stuff I am already working on.

6) Are there any fandoms you wrote for in the past that you no longer write for? I am still new enough to this that I haven't tired of any fandom yet.

7) Do you write for ships, reader inserts or other? I write reader inserts but I do have a few ideas for OCs I am toying with.

8) Niche fandoms/characters you write for? Takeshi Kovacs (Altered Carbon) and Stephen Holder (The Killing) are the niches characters I write for.

9) Do you read fics as well as write them? All the time! I haven't had as much of an opportunity the last week or so, but I have a list of them I plan on catching up on!

10) What is your favorite genre to write for? Whump and angst.

11) What is your favorite trope (to read/write)? I will pretty much read anything. But I do love friends to lovers, sex pollen, one character saving another, etc. In writing, I love hurt/comfort.

12) What do you do to get motivated to write? Most of my ideas come to me in the shower, when I'm driving, or when I go for a walk. So if I am stuck on something, I will do one of those three. Also, my friends and followers who support me are some of the biggest motivations there are.

13) Is there a trope/genre you like to read, but not write? I don't write smut but I do read it.

14) Any characters/fandoms you want to write for that are never requested? I have toyed around with the idea of writing for David Collins from the movie The Guest. And I eventually want to write for The Boys.

15) How long have you been writing fan fiction? Since October 2021. So I am still a newcomer to the fanfic writer's community.

16) Did you read fan fiction before you started writing? Some, but only for about a month or two before I started writing.

17) Do you only post on Tumblr, or any other sites as well? I also have an AO3 account but I just post all the same exact things as on Tumblr.

18) What do you personally consider the work counts of "Drabble", "One shots" and "fics"? I understand these aren't accurate, but I consider a "drabble" under 1k. And a "one-shot" and a "fic" are pretty interchangeable to me. In me head, a fic is anything over 1k while a one-shot is anything over 1k that tells the entire story in one post (no part two or follow ups).

19) Which do you prefer to write more? HC, drabbles, oneshots/fics, multi chapter stories, other? I have found a new appreciation for drabbles lately (even though they are longer than they should be 😬). Most of my stories start as one-shots, but after I post them, I either get requests to continue it or I get another idea and they turn into multi-chapter fics. Only one or two of my multi-chapter fics were started with multiple parts in mind.

20) Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why? I never consider anything discontinued. It just might need another shot of inspiration, but I am always open to returning to something.

21) What is one of your main "pet-peeves" as a writer on Tumblr? People who are rude or demanding towards writers. If you don't like what someone writes because of the plot, direction they took the story, or the topics they touched on, then just don't read it. Just because you might not like that specific fic doesn't mean no one else will. And the people who post fics here are doing so in their free time and aren't getting any compensation for it. So if they take a long time to update a fic or post new material, please be patient and give them a little understanding. They don't have to update at all if they don't want to so just be happy when they do.

22) Do you write a particular time of day? I write whenever I have free time, but I get my best writing done after 1 a.m. When I don't have work the next day, I often stay up until 5 a.m. to write!

23) Do you listen to music, ambiance/noise, etc to write or do you need silence? I can't write while listening to lyrics most of the time, but I do love listening to movie scores or epic instrumental music to help set the mood.

24) Do you outline your fics at all before writing? I normally have a paragraph or two summary of what I want to happen, but nothing super detailed. I go where the story takes me!

25) Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day? Sometimes I will schedule it for the afternoon/evening, but often I get impatient and post it early. 😅

yeah! theres been some alterations because i wanted the kids to stand out more from their parents and cause natural conflicts so heres some new updates!

drphil is now cthulu! thought the name fit way better lol shes genderfluid and still kanayas descendant, but i love the concept of them having a rambunctious crazy kid that reflects both rose and kanayas inner crazy kids while also messing up their fancy house esp since so many rosemary kids are carbon copies of the two

i wanted obama to be more interesting too, and i think theres a lot to play with in terms of his biology seeing as hes half humanand half troll. for instance, his baby grub claws where his fingers and toes would be fell out when a trolls normally would so now he has cool bionics but hes also p sickly and has to stay in the house most of the time bc he has a very weak immune system

leslie isnt too different, just much more adhd and accidentally rough. she has a hard time controlling her extreme child strength and follows her instincts to eat aquatic life to a disturbing level. luckily for her jane is a great mom who pays for all the damages her daughter causes and is very patient with her. leslie is also very spoiled and has the Peixes Hair

mowmix is now raised by arajavepetasol! hes still a lot more chill than the other leijons but also very imaginative and is eager to become a ninja/knife thrower/artist/stuntman. he doesnt have a tail like the leijons (for hc reasons involving troll tails lol) but he has a stuffed one that he puts on so its okay

pirate and rawrxd have not changed much but they are a lot more chill than before they act like earth kids and have fun and play and dont have violent tendencies and its very foreign to vriska and terezi but pirate has anxiety and chill hobbies like mapmaking and drawing that are not like how vriska was at all and rawrxd while still the more outgoing and energetic of the two is very down to earth and friendly unlike terezi lol also she cant taste things

jeff is also pretty much the same hes just a chill guy who has crushes on obscure celebrity/character goths and enjoys crystals and witchcraft while also having to deal with switching between two very different households

and campbell soup is a very outgoing kid unlike their secluded parents who just wants to grill meats and watch barbie movies and play with their 5 cats they dont have as many issues as obama since idk what the cherub immune system is like but they do have the issue of their weird skeleton and confusing diet

but yeah thats the updates to the gammas!
