Let me have an andreil thought here:

Neil thinks he's good at reading people but he's really only good at recognising anger and hostility. His survival has always depended on being able to immediately clock if a person is an immediate danger to him.

And Andrew only communicates through violence and hostility. It's the only thing he knows will work. Every interaction is a fight for him, and anything less translates to being vulnerable. That's why we only really see him switching to neutral late in TKM when he's alone with Neil.

That's why I think Neil didn't clock that Andrew was into him for so long. He didn't think to look past the obvious hostility Andrew was displaying (which he does even with people we know he cares about).

Sure, Neil knew he could get away with more shit than the others when it came to Andrew, but he never knew why.

And as soon as Neil finds out that Andrew's into him, he switches gears. Andrew is still on his shit but now Neil has the right lense to interpret it correctly. Now he knows what to do to get on Andrew's wavelength, and most times Andrew doesn't need to be neutral and therefore feel vulnerable for Neil to understand him.

That's why they work. Only Neil is fucked up enough by life to not only understand but accept such a rough form of love language.

theory as to why the Starflight cutie cuff is grey

So, out of all of these weird little bracelet buddies, Starflight has the least accurate colouration by far. He sticks out like a store thumb to be honest. Just look at him.

In my opinion, this is because Starflight is based on his graphic novel design, but this went south in one of two ways.

ONE: the light grey colour was the closest match they had available

(they might've cheaped out on fabric)

So the manufacturer tried to match his graphic novel design, where Starflight's scales are noticeably lighter than his near black overscales. They tried to replicate it, but the closest shade of grey (that didn't look too much like Morrowseer's design) was very light. Thus, the difference was exaggerated, and now Starflight is grey.

TWO: it's based directly on his appearance on the dragonet prophecy graphic novel colour

Evidence provided for this could also be used to back up the first claim, showing the difference between the two shades with the lighting exaggerating them.

On the cover for the Dragonet Prophecy GN, the dramatic lighting made Starflight's scales look noticeably grey. See the below image:

A bit less exaggerated than the plush itself, but still a bit off from his appearance within the book. It's possible the colours for Starflight's design could have been taken from here, exaggerated further by fabric availability, and boom, Starflight is grey.

(personally, I would have just made him a dark purpleish blue to stand out from morrowseer)

there's something about Buck's "is that enough?" when Eddie says that he's gonna try stick it out with Ana because his kid loves her that's always bugged me. I know its ment as like "is appeasing your kids emotions going to be enough for you to stay in this relationship" BUT when I first heard the line I heard it as "Is that the criteria? is that all you need to love someone." Because Chris loves Buck so if all Eddie needs to love Buck is for Chris to love him too, does Buck not already have that? It's like he's asking "Is Chris loving me enough for you to love me too?"
