Eddie is having the worst day known to man. It might qualify as a catastrophic event. Missing homework, lunch spilled on the cafeteria floor, broken strings at band practice, and that's not even touching Steve Harrington.

Steve Harrington who keeps talking to him like they're friends. Steve Harrington who has become a new person overnight. Steve Harrington who keeps making hypotheticals about time loops. Steve Harrington who is somehow the best and worst part of his day.

It was, in a word, fucked that he had to take gym a second time along with the rest of senior year. It was, in several words, absolutely fucking bullshit because he had actually passed gym the first time. Surely, his senior gym credit should still count, even if he’d treated it like office hours to set up deals with meatheads in a venue that didn’t actively put him in harm's way. Well, mostly out of harm’s way, as the blood spotting his uniform shirt can attest.

Hell, there were some days his last block gym class was the only one he’d attend. Slipping in with the bell at 2:15 in time to be the last one in the locker room and out on the line for attendance. Now he’s being forced back through it for what? No seriously, for what? Surely there was some other elective that could fit in this block, shouldn’t the second year senior get first dibs at study hall or something.

Maybe if he complains enough about the loss of his civil liberties. His freedom of expression is being taken from him by forcing him into this shit uniform. Maybe if he’s a big enough headache they’ll just let him leave. He’s learned the rules to enough of these little sports, there had to be a test he could take to prove that he doesn’t need to be a walking target on a volleyball court.

Not that he thinks Jenny Marshall meant to peg him in the face and give him a bloody nose, but the sentiment stands. Between the shorts and the blood he looks like a sad shaky shelter dog or something.

There are, of course, some fringe benefits. Eddie may have to wear the signature Tiger green, but so does Steve Harrington, who definitely has the legs for the outrageously short gym uniform they’re forced to dress out in. And if he’s going to keep looking for that silver fucking lining like he promised Uncle Wayne he would; thanks to Jenny Marshall he gets to ride the bleachers and watch pretty, pretty Steve Harrington bounce around in those shorts for the rest of class. Maybe a more bronzed lining than silver, Harrington hangs onto the sun warmed summer glow even with the October chill creeping in. Freckled thighs with nary a tan line in sight Eddie lets himself wonder if the rumors that had circled the big 18th birthday bash are true: when Harrington’s not in the swim team speedo he doesn’t swim in anything at all.

The volleyball net that Steve is playing at, floppy and torn, is more of a suggestion than a barrier. Now that Eddie is benched, it’s Harrington’s five against Hargrove’s four. The tides haven’t changed in anyone’s favor.

Billy had placed himself across from Harrington at the start of the game, his patience rewarded now as they rotate positions and the King is once again opposite him in the front row. That not-barrier doing all it can to keep the two a foot apart, Hargrove pacing in the eighteen inches of space his position in front of Steve allows. Jenny and her nose killer serve send the ball over to Hargrove’s side of the net. They get it up in the air again and Hargrove smacks the ball down hard between Steve and Sarah Smith. 

It hits the floor with a thwack that makes Eddie wince. Almost drowning out Billy’s mean little laugh, but there’s no missing the smug look on his face. The far too proud of himself smirk he sends somewhere to the left of Steve. 

It’s for Steve though. Definitely for Steve.  

The usurper to the throne, Hargrove has been sniffing for weakness that Eddie was pretty sure wasn’t there. The closest Harrington has ever come to failure was last year’s attempts at Nancy Wheeler, one he seemed to give up as soon as it started.

Tommy H. would be the reason, if Eddie had any guesses. He tried to base an NPC group around the Harrington court once. Tommy a loyal knight to a mostly inept king. Tommy who sidles up close to Sarah, despite his own maiden the Lady Carol playing one net over, smirking the same smug smile as Hargrove -- maybe another weak spot in the Harrington reign -- he says something loud enough to embarrass Sarah if the way she flushes and scurries closer to Harrington’s side is any indication but not enough for Eddie to make out.

He never did get the character balances to work in the game. He scripted and broke down motivation and drive but every time he just couldn’t figure out what Hagan did for Steve. Couldn’t figure out why Harrington kept his so-called friends around.

Gym takes too damn long to end. Or maybe it ends too soon. The final bell that releases him from his prison like Cthulu from the deep is buried quickly under the ringing in his ears as Steve Harrington is calling his name. Resignation fills his spirit, but when the King beckons you wait.

1- When did you start playing Choices? What was the first book you played? 

I started playing in 2016, I can't remember if I read Endless Summer or Rules of Engagement first, but I ended up deleting the app after like 2 weeks cause I couldn't stop buying diamonds 😅🤦

I re-downloaded it about, ohh idk 2 years ago?

2- When and why did you join Choices fandom?

I joined the Fandom specifically on Tumblr and specifically for It Lives Within, which happened to come out right after I read the first two books 

3- How did you pick your blog name? 

I always try to seem cool and mysterious when I meet people irl, and then as soon as I open my mouth, I ruin it with some niche trivia or something, and they say,  “Oh, so you're a nerd.” 😂 Can't tell you how many times this exact phrase has been uttered to me. 

4- Pull up the first post in your archive, and tell us about it!  

This is the first Choices related post I made 😂 I was just thinking about the concept of what if characters make terrible decisions cause they're controlled by a player who is out of diamonds lol I was going to do a whole series of them (next was going to be lotr “fly on eagles to mordor?” *30 diamonds* or “simply walk”) but got lazy lol

5- Do you write fanfiction, create fan art, or are you one of those really gifted people who do both? 

Only art. God, I  WISH  I wrote too. I've thought about trying cause I have so many ideas floating around in my head, but at the end of the day, I'd rather spend my free time drawing. 

6- How long have you been creating for Choices and for any other fandoms?

For Choices, since early 2022

For other fandoms, since well, forever, but I only started posting around 2017/18

7- What is your favorite Choices book, and what is your favorite Choices book to create for?

Favorite Choices book is probably It Lives in the Woods. All of the characters were so interesting, I never got bored reading it, and it had an incredible twist that made sense but I still didn't see coming. 

Favorite to create for is probably Blades of Light and Shadow though because I am such a sucker for the fantasy aesthetic.

8- Share your first Choices fanfic or fan art that you posted with us. Do you still like it, or would you change it if you were creating it today?.

This isn't the first Choices art I made, but it IS the first I actually shared

And honestly, I DO still like it because I still remember the way I felt absolutely POSSESSED while drawing it (I hadn't drawn anything for *months*). I would definitely change the background, though. Those trees look like shit, and they're not even the correct type for the kind of forest they're in. 

9- What is your favorite piece of fiction or art that you created? 

My favorite Choices art I've done is probably this piece. 

10- Do you have a fic/art that you didn’t expect to be well received, but it was? What about one you expected to do well but found it could use a little more love?

I definitely didn't expect this one to do well at all as it was so hastily drawn

And I was sad this piece didn't get more love, it was such a dope scene and I was so excited about how the sword turned out

11- If you could only draw one style or type of art for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? 

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the question right, but if I had to pick like a specific type of art, it would be digital, and I would want to do fan art. I have a hard time painting anything that I don't already have a deep connection with (so original art with no story behind it is usually a chore for me), and digital art is just so incredibly convenient and not messy and so so versatile. 

12 - Do you ever recognize yourself in any of your MCs or in your writing?

Because I use fiction as a way to safely process trauma/ grief/ other big emotions, each MC I make has a small part of me, whichever part I feel the need to explore at the time.

There's an amazing quote by Patrick Rothfuss that I feel explains it perfectly. 

It's from Wise Man's Fear

“These folk knew all about death. They killed their own livestock. They died from fevers, falls, or broken bones gone sour. Death was like an unpleasant neighbor. You didn’t talk about him for fear he might hear you and decide to pay a visit.

Except for stories, of course. Tales of poisoned kings and duels and old wars were fine. They dressed death in foreign clothes and sent him far from your door. A chimney fire or the croup cough were terrifying. But Gibea’s trial or the siege of Enfast, those were different. They were like prayers, like charms muttered late at night when you were walking alone in the dark. Stories were like ha’penny amulets you bought from a peddler, just in case.”

13 - What element of writing/art do you struggle with most?

I have a very difficult time making the poses seem natural and flowing. My all time favorite art is Baroque/Renaissance style and how fluid the poses are, how soft the skin looks, how delicately it's all done. Obviously, I will always have my own style, but those are things that I so want to incorporate but never seem to get quite right, and it drives me crazy 😂

14 - Do you have any neglected work you really want to finish?

Not really. I mean, I have a ton of unfinished work, but as soon as the window of inspiration passes, I just can't get myself to care enough about it to finish it (insert Jake the Dog, “now it's gone, and I don't care about it anymore!” )

15 - If someone you know in real life (who isn’t involved in fandoms) asked to see your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you show them first? 

I would, and have.  I typically show them whatever most rendered recent picture from my Instagram because I don't post any nsfw there and usually try to post only my prettier work for this specific reason haha. (As opposed to here, I post everything here, ain't NO ONE from real life invited to see my tumblr 😂)

16 - Are there any writers (published authors and/or fanfic writers) who influenced your writing or art? Are there any artists that influence you?

Writers: Brandon Sanderson, for sure. He's the reason I got back into art back in 2017 ish. His stories are just so emotional they push me to create. Same with @saibug1022, there is always at least one scene from every story he shares that I desperately want to draw to try to capture the emotions. 

Artists: God, sooo many, here are just like my top 3 favorites and their instagrams.

Obsessed with her unique style, and specifically the way she draws eyelids and noses

The way they draw those dripping, glowing wisps. I stare at their pieces for hours (no lie) trying to dissect them stroke by stroke to figure out how they do it.

Their art has a delicate whimsy-ness I would SELL MY SOUL to achieve 

17- Which one of your creations would you like to see a fiction written about? 

JC, this is the shit I DREAM of.

Definitely this one.

This little comic means a lot to me. 

18- Do you write original fiction or create non-fandom art? 

Very rarely, but I do, every so often. This is my favorite original piece.

20-  What other hobbies do you have?

Gaming, singing, walking through the Cemetary with my wee daughter, reading, that's about it 🤷

I really wanted to say that I don't believe in “good” art and “bad” art (just ethical vs non-ethical). That being said, I know what it's like to hate your art, like soooo intimately. Hey! Your art is super dope and I really enjoy seeing your concepts come to life!! I especially like the design of Daph, I don’t know how to explain it but he gave me queer vibes immediately and its awesome.

So I honestly believe that your webtoon when it drops will garner massive attention. I’ll definitely be reading! With that said, I read on your carrd that you’re not a fan of ppl drawing NSFW art of your characters or erasing their identities. I dont have any intention of doing that, but i wanted to know how you’d regulate that if your comic gets big— i mean your YT shorts have millions of views. Theres bound to be a few fanartists that don’t read your carrd and make nsfw fanart anyway. I feel like that would be a daunting task to take on. Have you dealt with that kind of stuff already?

Hi! Thank you for the ask! :D Those were my boundaries before my videos started getting more views. I didn't even think of making TIOS a web series before, so it never crossed my mind that my OCs would end up with a variety of interpretations from thousands of people. It's a weird and scary feeling, but it's something that I'm trying to get used to. I don't mind the different interpretations at all. I appreciate that TIOS scratches some people's brains. So, the boundaries on my Carrd will eventually soften once the webcomic is out. Like you said, it is a daunting task to regulate. However, I still keep the boundaries up on my page in the hopes that some people will read it. While I know I can't avoid the possibility of their identities being erased or NSFW content being made by others, just the thought that I can mitigate some from reaching my personal timeline and notifications is good enough (aka, don't tag me). I like maintaining a safe distance from fandom-related stuff to still see TIOS as the OCs I've known and loved for years—their creation in the first place was solely for my happiness. :]

I did hear about this! (for tl;dr Ice Adolescence has been officially cancelled.)

I have so many thoughts about this. First off, DAMN. Because getting to see what made Victor who he is was really cool and exciting!

But.

Russian skating has been plagued with doping scandals, and the Kremlin are invading sovereign countries and committing war crimes in them. I'd not be comfortable watching a movie about a Russian skating hero given what is happening there, which is not only broadly bad but specifically bad in skating. And that's not even mentioning Russia's disturbing (and escalating) record on LGBTIQ+ issues.

Second, it's been hard to be a Yuri on Ice fan in most spaces, because so much of what we see on social media is Mappa Where is Ice Ado?! and that gets really exhausting. It's hard to look for cute art and fun stories and meta about a series I adore when I have to slog through so much complaining and hatred of a series I love because the movie was indefinitely paused. Hopefully now that there is an answer, fans who are still creating and still trying to show their love for the incredible 12-episode gift we got of the original series will be what we see when we search the tags.

And finally, I'm originally a fan of Inuyasha. Inuyasha got a sequel, and the build up and hype coming into that was high. We got to see InuKag kid?! AHH! And then... the series arrived and (to put it lightly) did not meet expectations. And it caused an eruption of discourse in the fandom. Lots of creators left because they were being demanded to take part in ship wars and pro-anti wars and threw up their hands. So we left feeling less love for the original series based on the disappointment (and frankly, tomfoolery) of the fandom.

Am I disappointed? Yes. Because I love Yuri on Ice. I love Yuuri and I love Victor so so much.

Will this announcement do anything to reduce my love of Yuri on Ice? Absolutely not. It gives me more drive to create for the series, and to build their little world for myself since I now know that those 12 wonderful episodes (and amazing audio drama and manga!) might be what I get, and they can serve as a foundation for building my own little wonderful Yuri on Ice world with words.

"Fuck yeah, Mark Lee is a perv...and so am I because I'm pitching a tent just looking at it." Haechan said.

You pulled your jeans up, "Okay gross, anyways I'm a little nervous because it's not like a small little cute one it takes up half my ass."

" He's gonna love it! It's pretty colors too, and it goes nice with your skin complexion. Your ass is fucking beautiful y/n, you'll be fine!" Haechan waves you off trotting in your kitchen to get another snack.

"Lemme facetime Jaehyun, he's like a pro Ass man." You said.

A few rings and your met with Jaehyun face shoving some food in his mouth, "Wassup Twin."

"Hiii Twin, okay jae I need your opinion on something. And it has something to do with my ass" You say. Jaehyun gave you a suspicious look raising one eyebrow pausing to eat his food.

"Okay are you with anyone?" You questioned him.

"Yeah I'm with jungwoo, are you with mark?" Jaehyun answered.

"No, Haechan."

"Are you trying to get me caught up in a affair scandal?" Jaehyun nonchalantly said.

"No! Just listen! so, I got two butterflies tattooed on my ass and I wanna know what you think and if mark will like it." You explained quickly.

"Show."

Simply with that command, you showed the small portion of your ass to Jaehyun.

"Oh shit, that's fire you should definitely get it." Jaehyun says.

"Yeah I did, right here." You said with an obvious tone.

"WAIT THAT'S REAL?!" Jaehyun widen his eyes getting closer to the camera.

"Yep!"

"I said I got it tattooed."

You giggled at the slight glitch in his voice from the bad internet wherever he's at.

"Sorry, I'm high right now- but that looks dope, it fits your booty so nice I don't know how to explain it." Jaehyun complimented.

"Can I see?" Jungwoo chimes in.

Jaehyun asked you again if he could see, you nodded and Jungwoo took a look.

"DAMN! That's really nice."

Jaehyun agreed with Jungwoo, "Mark might have a heart attack seeing it, he's gonna love the fact that you have butterflies on your ass. He's a perv."

"I SAID THE SAME!" Haechan also chimed in putting his hands in the air.

"I don't know if I'm liking yall calling my man a pervert even though it's true but that's besides the point." You chuckled.

Jaehyun sipped on his drink, and with that you said your farewells to him and jungwoo before ending the call.

"So now do you believe me?" Haechan raised his eyebrows with folded arms.

"I guess so."

"Now can we go to the mall like you promised? I'm starving." Haechan rubbed his belly.

You nodded grabbing your keys, Haechan jumped off the couch following you like a excited puppy.

You came back to your house with haechan following suite with all your bags in his hand, he struggled getting inside the house.

"Uh.. a little help?!" Haechan cried out, you opened the door up more letting him inside.

You saw Mark and Johnny standing in the kitchen looking at Haechan struggle with the heavy bags in his hands.

You placed your small purse on the counter, also watching the poor boy struggle.

"Here let me help you." Johnny suggested, he picked up 2 bags placing them on the counter as well.

Haechan could finally lift them up on the kitchen island.

" Hi love, You must've had fun today." Mark scanned you up and down admiring you before pulling you in for a kiss, resting his hand on your hip.

"I did, I very much did. You know how it goes, Haechan kinda lost in a game of rock paper scissors." You said, Mark replying with a soft 'ahh'.

"Never EVER have me keep your girl company while you are gone, NEVER EVER." Haechan huffed and puffed aggressively trying to catch his breath.

"They weren't even that-"

"Don't." Haechan put a finger infront of Johnny's face.

"You got alot of stuff baby." Mark rubs the dip in your back.

" It's not even that much, plushies, some clothes, lingerie, other accessories, hair products some are mine some are yours." You said.

You knew that smirk anywhere, Mark knew what time it was once you named Lingerie.

"Don't you have like alot of lingerie already?" Mark questioned.

"Not when you keep ripping them up." You say grabbing the hair products out the bags.

Mark only shyly laughed before slapping your butt, the pain from the tattoo and the slap only reminded you what you had to do today.

"Ahem! We are still present!" Johnny excused.

At this point all of you and Mark's friends knew about the tattoo except Mark.

"Now that I've caught my breath, I want to leave." Haechan announced.

Johnny was ready to go as well, "Oh I didn't bring my car here because I thought it would be a good idea to walk and burn some calories, so you're driving me home."

He explained to haechan as he grabbed his phone from the counter.

"I guess I'm just everyone's slave around here." Haechan said.

"Guess you are." Mark gave him a sheepish look tilting his head.

Haechan gave him the middle finger before exiting the house, "Night lil bro" Johnny closed their front door.

After a little silence, Mark's attention suddenly shifted towards you, beginning to feel nervous you poured yourself a glass of wine.

"So about these lingerie, you gonna try them on for me?" Mark questioned peeking through the bags.

"I mean, if it makes you happy." You smirked drinking your wine.

Mark looked at you trying to read your expression, he felt as if you're hiding something from him with that slightly mischievous grin on your face.

"What's wrong baby? Is there something on your mind?" Mark gripped your waist kissing down your neck.

"I have a surprise for you." You said.

"Hmm? A surprise?" Mark continued to place kisses on your neck and collar bone.

"Yeah take a guess, even though I know you Won't ever get it." You say with full confidence.

"You got new toys?"

"Nope"

"You have a costume in there?"

"Nah"

"You got nipple piercings?"

"No, but not a bad idea.."

"Oh my god..." Mark finally let's go of your neck, looking down at your stomach.

"Oh my god you're PREGNANT?!" Mark nearly squealed in excitement.

"What? No!" You said.

"Oh..." Mark pouted rubbing the back of his neck.

"Good to know if I was you'd be excited, anyways I'm gonna reveal it to you. Follow me" You said.

You led mark to the bedroom, Mark slapped your butt again.

"Mark stop it's a little sore."

"Still? It's been 2 weeks since then, I couldn't possibly have smacked it that hard"

"You're more heavy handed than you think you are." You simply replied, you lead him inside the bedroom.

He started lurking around to see if the present was perhaps in here, you ordered him to sit down and he did so at once.

"Did you get a whip?" Mark guessed for the several time.

"No, I'll be right back."

You went into the bathroom with a new pair of lingerie, you slipped the set on. It was a pastel blue color with lacey material.

"It's totally a costume, babe you literally could've said I was right the first time."

You walked out the bathroom then you hid yourself behind the bedroom door frame, " are you ready?"

Mark replied with a simple yes and you stepped out with a exaggerated pose, Mark definitely was excited but not all that surprised considering you've worn many lingerie around him.

"Oh shit babe, you look so sexy" Mark said, he walked up to you snaking his hand on your waist squeezing the love handles.

"This isn't really the surprise though," You reminded you kissed his lips gingerly, "I'll give you a hint it's on my body."

"You got a clit piercing?" Mark questioned.

"No! What is with you and piercings? Is it like a kink?" You asked.

"I don't know it sounds like something impulsive you would do." Mark shrugged, you only smirked.

Mark grabbed your ass again, he maneuvers his way behind you and then you grinned even wider. His idea was to start teasing you but his eyes were glued to your ass once he saw it.

"Dude..." Mark paused his entire world stopped to look at it, "an ass tattoo.."

You looked at him over your shoulder biting down on your lip with a grin, "Do you like—"

"AN ASS TATTOO?! SHIT THIS IS GORGEOUS!" Mark exclaimed, he kneaded your butt in his hands just staring at the art.

The smile on his face was like a kid in the toy store, this may have made him fall even more in love with you.

"I got it a day ago, I had asked everyone if you think you'll like it. I was nervous about it, I already liked it." You explained.

"You like it, I fucking love it!! This is actually so hot of you," Mark paused for a minute, "wait..does that mean haechan saw your ass?"

"Uh yeah? Jaehyun saw, johnny, jungwoo, Yuta, Jaemin, and Jeno y'know all the ass guys." You clarified.

Clive Update: Pride Edition!

It is a pleasure to be on the blog of somebody so "hip with the times". Personally, however, I would suggest that my students enjoy Professor Gible's teachings a bit more than my own! Ha, who could compete with such an esteemed professor? I have heard your class described as "gas" many times, however. Is that good...? I believe so. Anyhoo, on to our first question: What does "Pride" mean to you? Pride, to me, is a feeling of warmth. A sort of "you made it", if you understand? Some of my students may know this already, but I come from quite the tightly-wound family of Dragon Tamers. My path was quite clearly laid out for me--and then I ran away, saying I was going to make a living from music, of all things! And that freedom saved me. I certainly wouldn't have met dear Brassie without it! So I'm proud to be in a place where I can be myself, whether that's artistically or in love! How expressively put! Though inquiring minds wish to know: how long have you and Brassius been together? Roughly five years--which is more recent than some of you may believe, I am sure. However, even for the most artistic of us, matters of the heart can be difficult to parse! I still tear up a little, remembering that... wonderful time in muh laifh... Luckily (and obviously) Kamala saved her.

And i don't know why people complained about her powers and why they were changed. They look so f-ing cool. They look cOSMIC!

The tendency toward excessive stimulation is seen everywhere. Entertainment that once satisfied people now excites nothing more enjoyable than boredom. The theatrical pages of the daily papers tingle with such words as "tantalizing," "suspenseful," "breathless," "terrifying," "explosive." Recently one particularly spine-chilling number at the local bijou advertised itself as "the world's greatest horrorama" and promised that the jaded citizens who came to see it would find it "a billion-shock monsterpiece." This kind of thing in varying degree is found also in our automobiles, furniture, books, art, music, clothes, and gives evidence of mass emotional dope addiction in an advanced stage. My words are addressed to regenerated souls who are humble enough to be willing to learn and hungry enough to want to. I have not the dimmest hope that any politician, economist or advertiser will heed my warning even if what I write should by accident fall into his hands. The inhabitants of Vanity Fair are not likely to listen to the words of a Christian. They are under the control of "the carnal mind [which] is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be" (Romans 8:7, KJV). But the Christian needs stimulation. x-posting this from my Discord Server (The Swamp, we have a website) because I really need to complain about X-Factor (2020) and what it did to Daken and Prodigy, but Daken specifically (since I'm making his guide right now).

So, I'm finally reading X-Factor (2020) in its entirety. And the fucking CRINGE:

Pokemon??? Leah REALLY? It's like she was just "He's half Japanese, this is something he'd know." HE'S ALSO LIKE 72 YEARS OLD LEAH.

Also David Baldeon's art is fucking dog shit and is part of the reason I Didn't Like Rikki Barnes.

I just. Like sometimes. Sometimes this is decent. Maybe even good. But it does not outweigh the amount of times I had to fucking pinch the bridge of my nose and SIGH.

Suddenly Himbo. Is standing before me!?!?!

I can't decide if Williams's Daken is better or worse than Remender's. He's supposed to be this really smart articulate guy who becomes stabby. Yeah he's a flirt, but Christ Alive he's got more game than this.

Leah's made him into a bad slut himbo bi stereotype. Fucking GROSS.

In my favourite characterisation of him, written by Marjorie Liu, Daken is like, really smart. He loves poetry and books. He keeps his distance from other people, but occasionally when he's flung into a romance he has these moments of vulnerability because he so desperately wants to be loved.

That him spoke to me. The is he evil or the product of all of his trauma him. It was always so murky.

Later when he becomes Laura's family and then eventually Gabby's family he sort of got happier. They love him and he loves them. Their family bond sustained me so so long of Daken being relegated to the background of a lot of Laura and Logan's issues.

But in X-Factor there's like this whole part where Daken ignores Gabby to get with Aurora and then GABBY FUCKING DIES. And tbh I don't think I'll ever forgive Leah Williams for that. I have a lot of feelings about this character because for a huge chunk of his books I love him. He's just the right amount of morally reprehensible with softness toward the people he cares about.

And when Logan comes back into his life, he starts to see that he can be more than just a weapon. More than something people use and discard. It takes him awhile and a lot of advice from Logan and Laura but he gets there.

It just fucking sucks that his "getting there" is this X-Factor comic. Leah Williams is the epitome of "this premise is dope, but the writing makes me want to throw myself out of a window" And I was headcanonning so hard that Daken is Aro. But what Leah is doing with him now feels very not Aro and very Not Daken.

was so excited about the prospect of him on Krakoa and being on a team with Prodigy and even that sucks. They're constantly at each others throats.

And then in this same comic is when David and Tommy get together and it is the DUMBEST FUCKING SHIT. I was seriously so disappointed. As you can see I'm really fucking upset over this. It feels like setting bisexuality back a hundred years. Like yes, Daken is a slut. But he's not fucking stupid. And he's capable of being monogamous.

And David isn't this uptight little turd. God I'm so annoyed. Who gave Leah my favourite bisexuals to ruin.

Like X-Factor does have some decent moments. Bringing Sofia back and solving her murder was decent. I think it's issue 5. But every single comic Daken even so much as speaks in I am full of murderous rage. This is my meow meow. My stabby murder boy. Just because he can't kill anymore because he'll get yeeted off Krakoa doesn't mean he suddenly become himbo supreme, the leader of all himbos. i would rather read the ENTIRETY of Tini Howard's Excalibur than accept Leah Williams's Daken as canon. I would rather tell people Christopher Cantwell's Iron Man is my favourite iron man run. I'm also REALLY annoyed the werewolf baby I named August is named Amazing Baby in this like it makes me so fucking mad.

What do you want to see in the remastered Pocket Mirror? Any particular art features or story elements that the original felt somewhat lacking in? Do you want more specific character content? Should fans be excited in your humble opinion?

i'm... not sure actually?? i always completely immerse myself in it when i watch/play, so i haven't really thought abt it. maybe some extra scenes/clues that piece together the story as a whole, maybe some more character interactions with completely new dialogue. i'm mostly just ecstatic to see the upgraded architectural design of the maps and areas, but... maybe we'll get to see some new CGI? i really want to see Fleta's area the most, she's my fav but that much is already obvious lol.

but, remember when the astral shift originally had said pocket mirror would have voice acting, but there... really wasn't any in the end, aside from giggling sound effects and laughter? imagine if the remaster actually had fully voice-acted lines. it isn't going to happen, but it'd be pretty dope... :')

should fans be excited? i... guess so. maybe. i'm not qualified to judge. astral shift team sure is taking a long time to finish goody two shoes though (without much to show in the way of updates in either tweets or streams), even if i stopped hyping myself up for any new content to avoid potential disappointment. 32. Day Dreaming x NxWorries (Anderson .Paak + Knxwledge)

Man, first off, thank you for those of you who are truly seeking out all the aspects of this project. I don't know how long the internet will last, but for those seeing this 5, 10, 15....(or even 30!?) years into the future, thank you! If my wife or my children are seeing this, I love you and appreciate you for putting up with my madness during this period. See, 32weeks was all about pushing myself to my creative limits. I took a simple concept and turned into an artform. Think about it, right now, TikTok is bursting with the green screen idea: reacting to a video, or sharing controversial info, or wholesome content, with the person in front of/on the side of/stitched in, etc and the green screen is an element blending the two visuals together. Mixtapes have been around for well, probably since the conception of Hip hop. I took both entities and came out with this. A visual mixtape, set up as a presentation, with 32 tracks, released on a weekly basis...and staying on schedule. HAHAAHAHAHA!!! That is bizarre! I was able to (almost) share how these images appear in my mind, and how I relate them to the music. I used all true stories from my life. Pieces of my childhood and adulthood that I have never really shared with others...like real talk, #20, that was something I never knew I would ever be able to talk about. And as you know, this portion of the 32weeks era is over, but there still more writing to do.

Ok, so I came across this instrumental after writing, I think the 29th(possibly) verse. I heard it and knew this would be number 32. NxWorries is the collaboration of Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge. Their "Yes Lawd!" album is soooo fire. Like real talk, I knew Anderson .Paak has some dope instrumentals. Oxnard, Malibu, Ventura, are filled with wonderful productions. Knxwledge's beats just hit different. Like, Suede, or Lyk Dis, or Livvin, or omg....H.A.N.(if you are unfamiliar...go hear that right now lol). These instrumentals have that smooth old school but modern feel. But then, Daydreaming drops. 💥Like I said, I knew this was the one. I needed to find the instrumental immediately. All I kept hearing was 🎶32 weeks...🎶This verse pretty much wrote itself. It's literally the closer. I wanted listeners to feel that excitement, the raw feeling, of a burden being lifted. We know the feeling of saying you are going to do something, and then actually following through. During the live period of 32 weeks, whenever it all felt overwhelming, I would play this song as a reminder that it is going to feel amazing to finish this. That gave me more fuel to continue on.

As a songwriter, I learned in this process that I can truly write a song about anything. Overall, I can take a feeling and put it in sound for a listener to digest. I faced the fear of my art not being good enough. I faced the fear that I may have to do somethings, hard things, on my own. I faced the fear that I will overlooked, and ignored. I faced the fear that I was no longer relative to my community (in regards to making music that matters). I faced the fear that I can't learn skills. I faced the fear of showing more darker sides of myself in my lyrics. I faced the fear of opening up to my listeners. I faced the fear of acknowledging death (still uncomfortable, but less anxiety). I faced the fear of my endurance, that I wouldn't be able to actually complete a feat a large as this. I faced the fear of comparison...that the real competition is with myself. I had to learn that I can't watch what other artists are doing and judge them or myself. That practice is dangerous to my mental wellbeing. I killed that distorted thought(and I continue to battle that distorted thought) with these truths:

1. The internet(specifically social media) can make anyone seem like they are super successful, happy, and etc. 2. Everyone's path is different and is autonomous to each individual 3. I work a full time job and found joy in creating and just want to share it with others 4. "It just doesn't matter", straight from Mac Miller's Faces/Bill Murray's monologue from "MeatBalls". I learned that whether something good or bad comes from this project, whether people hear my music or not, whether I live or die, Whether I change the world or not, it just doesn't matter. Once I remember those ideas, I kill the intrusive enemy of most humans - comparison.

Again, I appreciate you spending this time with me. I hope you enjoyed the experience. I encourage you to share the mixtape/blog/videos with people you think would love this. Or with the people that the songs remind you of. I am honored and grateful that you chose to experience this with me.💙💙💙

33. Cross The Globe x Lil Durk ft. Juice Wrld

I'm not sure what exactly to add to this post....let's start with the instrumental. As aforementioned in the blog post for week 23: Stand By Me x Lil Durkft. Morgan Wallen I go into my first encounters of Lil Durk and his Album "Almost Healed". I state in the post that I would tell you more about my feelings about "Cross The Globe". First off I want to say R.I.P. to Juice Wrld. I was never a huge fan, but....dude slaughtered a track on the "Into The Spider-Verse" Soundtrack. I love most of the songs on the soundtrack but Juice Wrld and Seezyn's "Hide" is f*cking catchy and has high replay value. Also, they play this song in the movie at a very vulnerable moment. Miles feels discouraged and with the song in the background.... just gives me the chills. I learned pretty quickly that Juice Wrld is really good with creating those singy/catchy hooks because he definitely killed it on Cross The Globe. So when I came across this song during my re-listening to the album, that beat swooped me up. I think, that was when I knew that this song would be the one I explain myself and the reason for the mixtape. This is also around the time I knew that there would be 33 verses instead of 32. I have mentioned Dante Alighieri's "Dante's Inferno"/The Divine Comedy throughout the project. During the writing the phase I had just picked up the inferno, or was wrapping up the inferno. Trying to incorporate some of wonderful messaging that I received. The Podcast, "Dante's Divine Comedy" by Mark Vernon was/is a major asset to understanding what the hell (hell...hahaha, get it?) you're reading. Also, I was 32 years of age approaching 33, add in the literature references and you have a few metaphors/entendres. I was very inspired by Alighieri with the whole "Cantos" ideas as chapters and seeing that each verse is a chapter of my life, whether past, present or future. I think the first lines I wrote were:

"documenting life just a novel, it is written/approaching chapter 33, 33 degrees. That's a third of the perfect work, Divine Comedy. Watch the Divine work through me..."

I really wanted to highlight the fact that this project contained a lot of honesty, alot of vulnerable moments, and shame. There are many situations that I had locked in my pen, due to fear of the judgement. As an adult I was able to knock down that barrier. I know how much I have worked on myself over the years. I know that I made a lot of mistakes, and being able to share them with others will ultimately release that shame/guilt possibly helping the listener. I struggled for years wondering what to write (due to what I just stated). I don't want to be the cheesy holier than thou emcee, I don't live street life, I don't have money to ball, and I am happily married and have two kids. Limiting myself in this way really slowed my mode of creativity. I am so grateful that I finally got to the point that I can just express my cringy past, talk about the work I do on myself, and find joy in my craft! I don't know what else to say so I am going to hop off of here. If you are reading this I want to say thank you! I appreciate your time, and attention. I hope something I say/write intrigues you, motivates you, or moves you. If no one has told you today that they love you, just know that I do, and I always will.

Hi Janus, how are you doing? I was wondering, how do you feel about a date with Logan. Say… tomorrow? I’ve been working on my teleportation abilities so I could bring you somewhere for the day and then bring you home again at the end.

It’s long distance so I could bring you pretty much anywhere. The beach? A fancy restaurant? The Natural History Museum in London? Skys the limit!

"Oh hello there dapper fellow" Janus greeted as he noticed your bright eyes curiously looking at what he was holding "I'm just doing horrendous really" He said sarcastically "I'm helping Remus with some planning for his art which is just incredibly boring you see"

They were holding a piece of cardboard next to another while Logan glued them together. Before Remus had gone to get the testosteron syringe ready he had written out all his various art ideas on paper and spread them out across the floor to get some sort of organisation of them.

For some of the more complicated installations he was trying to make mini models of them to get a feel for how it'd look and Janus and Logan had offered to help.

Logan held up a finished cardboard room and said in a deadpan tone "This is the model for the goop room"

Janus added in a villainous tone "It's THE goop room!! Muhahaha!"

You continued with your message and it got a little chuckle out of them.

"No I would absolutely despise the idea of a free date with Logan tomorrow. Hate that guy" They hit their arm against his shoulder and asked "Are you up for it?"

"As far as I am aware I am free yes" Logan eyed you up and down "By working on your teleportion abilities do you actually mean....putting jet engines on yourself..?"

"Darling you can't just go around asking ghosts if they use jet engines"

"I thought estrogen pills would look all cool and clue like in the matrix" Remy interrupted before you had time to say the rest of your message "It's still pretty dope though"

"And what's more dope than pills!?" Remus bounced after them "Fucking SYRINGES!!! AHAHAHAHHA!!! Log can you help me so I properly inject it?"

"Of course"

While Logan showed Remus how to inject his first dose of t Remy sat down next to their partner Janus. They swallowed the e pill with a glass of water before saying a lighthearted "Ta-daaa!!"

"Can I kiss you?" Janus asked to which Remy nodded.

He leant over and kissed them. He noticed them scrunching their nose and wiggling their fingers in excitement.

"I can't wait till it feels so like natural we don't even have to like verbally ask before kissing" Remy whispered out to him.

"I can't wait either"

"I can feel my mustache growing already" Remus loudly announced.

"Well it doesn't exactly go that quickly but soon enough" Logan replied.

Remus flapped his arms around while smiling so wide he was practically shining. He moved to hug his friends which only resulted in him, Remy and Janus all getting tangled into a hug on the floor.

Even when he got up he kept nudging his head against Remy's cheek while holding his arms around Janus.

You finally got time to finish your message which made Janus and Logan look at each other with shocked looks. They hadn't expected you to have gotten That good at teleporting.

"...I've never been to london" Janus suggested while looking to his boyfriend.

"I have heard that the natural history museum does have some fascinating exhibitions"

"BONES! EPIC BONES!!" Remus added in.

"That too. I have always had an affinity for dinosaurs"

"Seems like we could go for a day trip to the London museum" Janus said.

Without anyone seeing Remus glanced to you and did double thumbs up. You turned your eyes into the shapes of thumbs up as a response.
