“Obi-Wan is Anakin’s impulse control,” “If only Anakin talked about things with other people,” “If only the Jedi council was less itself,” “If only-“
All of these are wrong. If Anakin had been allowed to keep R2-D2 with him at all times, as he clearly wanted to, none of the movies would’ve happened.

Sketched this little buddy from my textual roleplay yesterday. His name is Stooge (though it's not really an accurate localization of the one slang word that became his original name) and he's a reprogrammed B1 droid. He mostly assists Tech as needed, but because he has very little RAM, he is considered more of an emotional support droid. He is sometimes used as a note-taking board.
Crosshair drew him goggles with a permanent marker. Tech is not impressed.

Caleb and his foundling
Tumblr media
Or the worst emotional roller-coaster that Depa Billabas Battalion was ever on.
This is for my "Star Wars fix it au", where order 66 doesn't happen, but Padme and Anakin still die (Rip Padme, you deserved better)
The first hours after General Obi-wan had given them the message were the worst.
The men who were made for them, fought side by side, died for them where a gun pointed at their chests.
All of them had chips in their brains that would strip them of their humanity their personhood, and their identity.
It was no wonder that the camp was in panic, no matter how much General Depa tried to calm her men down.
They were scared. Scared of hurting her and her Padawan. Scared of losing themselves.
Some of them tried to run, to be as far away from them as possible when those horrible chips activated.
Others tried to take their own life as long as they still were themselves.
It was a horrible time.
Then Caleb disappeared because the force was calling him, which made the troops only more panicked.
They were torn between wanting to go with him and being glad that he wasn't around. Both reasons were because they were worried for their little commanders' safety.
Then, a few hours later, everything was over.
Or at least, it seemed that way for all the men who only knew war.
The chancellor was the sith and created this war. He was killed by Mace and his close supporters were imprisoned for betraying the republic.
Master Anakin Skywalker fell and betrayed them. He was killed by Master Obi-Wan after murdering Senator Amidala.
The technicians in the Jedi temple created a way to block the signal of the chips, saving them from mind control till they could get it taken out.
So effectively, the war was over, they won and the clones lost most of their usefulness.
Even if they still had their personhood, they still weren't safe. Not when most of the republic saw them as nothing more than meat droids.
It was at this time that Caleb returned with a newborn and no one knew where the little guy could have possibly come from.
They were in the middle of a battlefield and the padawan couldn't have walked so far in the few hours he was gone.
The teen himself didn't know how long he walked or where he went.
He had trusted the force and the force brought him to the little baby and the corpses of his parents, who appeared to be reporters of some kind.
Cue panicked clones who just went through the 5 stages of grief and are now fearing for the wellbeing of a little thing that was barely bigger than their hands.
They just pushed away the fear of their post-war existence because none of them were trained in child care.
To be fair, the only one who knows how to carry and feed a baby is Depa, who is glad that her padawan came back without any injury.
Even if the baby (a possible grand padawan?) was a suprise.
A nice surprise that brought her men out of their fear clouded minds, but a suprise nonetheless.

divine battle
Din Djarin/Reader | 2.5k | Rated E | afab reader, no y/n, pregnancy, Mand’alor Din Djarin, pregnant sex, pregnancy related body dysmorphia, descriptions of childbirth, descriptions of pain, blood
A short wrap-up to aquae vivae. This has descriptions of body dysmorphia, pain and stress during childbirth, and blood.
a/n: The concept of Mandalorians viewing childbirth as a battle is inspired by Aztec mythology and folklore.
read on ao3
You weren’t exactly trying to avoid it, but it still happens sooner than you expected.
Fatigue. Sore abdomen and breasts. Minor mood swings. All symptoms of an impending menstrual cycle - which never comes.
You keep quiet about it at first. A visit to a med droid confirms your suspicions and gives you a clearer timeline. Just a few weeks in so far. Many months to go.
Laying on the bed, you press soft fingers into the flesh of your stomach absentmindedly, trying to imagine it swollen and round. You’d have to let your clothes out, you realize. Or get new ones. Plus all of the other things babies require.
You don’t know where to even start. You don’t have any family here on Mandalore besides your husband - no one to ask, to confide in.
Din had raised Grogu, but that was different. He isn’t a normal baby. A human baby. Your baby.
The sound of the door opening makes you turn your head to look. Din has arrived, Grogu in his arms. They had been training, based on the paint splattered across the child’s clothes.
“Are you all right?” Din questions, seeing you laid out over the blankets.
You nod. “Yes. Just tired.”
Setting Grogu down, he starts to take off his boots and helmet. “Are you sure you’re not working too hard? You’ve been more tired than usual the past few days.”
“I’m sure,” you reply. He casts you a small frown, which you can’t help but smile at. You like how his lips curve naturally into a soft pout.
Raising your hand, you beckon him closer. “Come here.”
Din obliges you, walking slowly toward your bed. He lets you grab his gloved hand, and you pull him down so that he lies next to you. You entwine your fingers with his, turning your head to look into his dark eyes.
He has such nice eyes, you think. Perhaps your baby would have his eyes.
“You sure you’re ok?” Din asks again. There’s worry in his tone, and you squeeze his hand in reassurance. Are you ok? Yes and no. You’re nervous, anxious, and so full of an emotion you can’t name that you feel like you’re going to burst.
“I’m pregnant.” The words fall loosely from your mouth. You watch his expression - eyes widening almost imperceptibly. A short breath leaves his lips.
“Pregnant,” he repeats, almost as if in disbelief. You nod. Tears prick the edge of your vision, and you’re not sure why. Hormones, maybe?
He glances down at your bare abdomen. Removing a glove, he places his palm over you, warmth emanating from his skin into yours. The two of you stay like that for several silent minutes.
“A baby,” he murmurs, and there’s so much awe in how he says it. “Our baby. You’re pregnant.” He looks up at you, and you see the loving determination in his gaze. It makes you feel braver.
“I don’t know how to be a parent,” you confess, looking for support. Din’s eyes soften, and he kisses your lips, the tip of your nose, and the sides of your eyes where tears glisten.
“We’ll figure it out together,” he promises.
News of your pregnancy is slow to travel. It’s several months before you start to show noticeably - several months before you can no longer get away with wearing baggier and baggier clothes to cover it up.
It starts with low murmurs in the palace. Idle mumbles of congratulations, which you smile at and hurry past. It’s not that you aren’t happy or excited - sometimes it feels like your heart is going to burst from it all - but you’re nervous. Having a baby is a big deal. Having the Mand’alor’s baby is an even bigger deal.
Din is your constant shadow, unwilling to leave you alone or unguarded for any amount of time. When he absolutely can’t be at your side, he assigns his most loyal and highly trained guards to escort you.
After one incident when a guard doesn’t even let you open a jar yourself, you snap. That evening you sit your husband down and explain that you aren’t helpless and that while you appreciate the concern, it’s becoming more of a nuisance than a help.
Those big brown eyes look up at you forlornly. He agrees to tone it down, pulling you closer by the waist. He kisses the growing swell of your stomach through your linen shift as you pat his soft hair lovingly. You can’t stay mad at him.
The midwives had told you that it would be normal for you to experience an increased libido as time went on. However, it was Din who was becoming more and more insatiable with each passing day. Whether it was lathing over your breasts or buried between your legs, there was scarcely a night where his mouth wasn’t on you somewhere.
Din murmurs idolization into your stomach, and you bite your lip at the feeling of his scruff on your sensitive skin. Laying you back on the bed, he spreads your legs open and kisses softly from the summit of your bump down to where you’re swollen and waiting for him. He has you coming undone with just a few wide laps of his tongue, praising you the whole while.
He tells you how good you taste, and how sensitive you are to his touches. You feel like a goddess being worshipped with how he revels in your changing body.
It helps you on the days you feel detached from yourself. You examine yourself in the full-length mirror, propped up in your closet. Pulling your top up, you cup your round stomach with both hands, turning to view yourself from a side angle.
Din finds you there, brows furrowed in thought. “Everything all right?” He asks.
“I don’t recognize myself,” you murmur. As your body changes, you struggle with seeing yourself in your reflection. It’s made worse by people commenting on how you look - how big you’re getting or how the way your stomach sits means you’re carrying a boy or a girl or whatever other wives’ tales people come up with. You’ve taken to avoiding the court as much as possible as your due date draws nearer.
Din comes up behind you and places his hands over yours, thumbs stroking lovingly over your soft skin. He places his chin on your shoulder, looking at your reflection in the mirror. You lean your head against his.
“I see a woman carrying my child,” he soothes. “A woman who grows more beautiful by the day.” He places a soft kiss to your hair, and you give him a small smile.
Something happens on the southern continent, something that his military advisors say requires Din’s attention. At first, he refuses to go, citing your nearing due date.
“Just go,” you insist. “We’ve got a few weeks left. You’ll be back before you know it.”
“I’d never forgive myself if I missed the birth of our child,” he presses. “If I wasn’t there at your side.”
“I’ll hold it in,” you counter, and that gets a huff and a smirk from him.
He grumbles but acquiesces. You wish him good luck and tell him you love him, watching him and Grogu take off in his starfighter.
You waddle back to your chambers, looking forward to getting off your feet. Everything aches recently, and resting in your soft bed surrounded by an ever-increasing mountain of pillows is all that soothes you. Din had teased you about it, feigning exasperation at his disappearing real estate, but dutifully fetched you more and more pillows.
You wince at a sharp pain in your back. It’s nothing to be concerned about, you tell yourself. You’ve got all kinds of pain, in more than just your back. It would be ridiculous if you went into labor the same hour Din left the city -
Another sharp pain and you start to feel clammy. Something feels wrong, innately wrong. The pain doesn’t dissipate, and you have to sit down on a window ledge before your legs give out.
You tap on your wrist communicator, sending a message to the med droid and midwife with your location.
There’s a dampness between your legs. Did your water break? You can’t see past your stomach, so you reach down to touch and feel faint when your hand comes back smeared in blood.
“No no no,” you mumble. “Not yet, please not yet - not right now, your father’s not here.”
Another roll of pain is the only answer, and you choke back a cry. The last thing you remember before your vision goes black is the hurried drone of the med droid arriving, and being lifted in strong, familiar arms.
You come to in a private med bay as Din lays you down carefully. He snaps at the med droid trying to squeeze in next to him, and the midwife snaps back at him and tells him that, Mand’alor or no, if he wants to stay he has to move so they can do their job.
He moves to kneel next to the bed, moving your hair out of your face gently. You sigh as the midwife injects you with something that begins to make the terrible pain subside.
“How are you here?” You murmur, turning your head to look at Din. His eyes are wide, and you can see fear in the way he searches your face.
“Grogu,” he whispers. “He started to cry, and I just - I had a really bad feeling.”
“Hush now,” the midwife announced. You looked up at her helmeted face. “You need to save your energy, young warrior.”
“M’not a warrior,” you choke out.
“You are,” the stern woman insisted. “In our culture, childbirth is conceptually equivalent to battle. You are going to fight and struggle as you labor to bring your child into this world, and if you are to emerge victorious you will need all of your strength.”
A deep ache gets past whatever pain reliever you have in your system, and you curl up with a low groan. Your hand dashes out to grab Din’s, and you clench it hard as the contraction rolls through you.
“You can do this,” your husband says firmly. “I am here with you, my love.”
It’s not a quick birth. The midwife says something about complications, but you can barely think through the pain and the instinctual need for your body to just push. Din does not leave your side for a moment through the entire process, which lasts well into the night.
At last, your screams are answered by the wail of your daughter as she enters this world, and you collapse back onto the sheets. She’s placed, wet and screaming on your chest, and you barely have a chance to croak out a ‘hello’ before your vision goes black again. —
Low murmuring, like a lullaby, draws you from your sleep. Your eyes open slowly, vision blurry, and you see a broad figure sitting next to you holding a bundle of blankets in their arms.
You shift, getting the attention of your husband. Din looks up at you, a gentle smile on his curved lips. He glances back down at the bundle. There’s adoration in the way his eyes shine, like nothing you’ve ever seen from him before.
“Your mother’s awake, little one,” he hushes. You blink, trying to break out of your hazy mindset. “Would you like to try meeting her again?”
He moves carefully toward you and settles next to you on the bed. You sit up, eyes wide and curious, eager to see the face of the child you’d been carrying for all these months.
She’s asleep, and you’re delighted to see that her lips pout the same way Din’s do. She has a tuft of dark hair, and ten perfect little fingers and toes.
“Hello,” you whisper. “Hello, Rila.” Din leans over and transfers your daughter into your waiting arms, wrapping his arms around the both of you and holding you close.
“She’s beautiful,” you say dreamily. Din presses a soft kiss to your hair.
“Like her mother,” he agrees. You glance up at him, a watery smile on your lips.
Rila yawns, and blinks, and your heart sings when you realize that she does have her father’s eyes.

i love all of the spectres being supportive of kalluzeb in their own ways
hera is obviously there to gently remind both of them separately that if they ever need someone to talk to (especially about relationship shit) she’s there. she’s especially gentle with kallus because she knows talking about emotional things is really difficult for him
kanan is maybe the most subtle of the crew, giving them smiles and nods whenever he notices they sneak away together and despite being blind he Always knows when their force signatures are more similar to rebellious teenagers than normal absolute tank zeb and stuck-up kallus
sabine does draw stupid little cartoons of them hugging or kissing on kal’s notes when they’re in meetings together but she also spends a lot of time with kallus even when he’s not dragged everywhere with zeb. at first it was just a supportive measure for zeb to show that she liked his partner but it slowly turned into her genuinely enjoying spending time with kallus. they like target practice together and playing card games at the tapcafe. the only thing that gets her mad at him is when he says she’s too young to drink and he “absolutely will not order” her a drink “missy”
ezra, unlike his master, is not subtle at all. all signs of affection between the two of them have him yelling “EW ZEB” and “GROSS” but he does it to show his support, strangely enough. due to a lack of space, kallus bunks with zeb when he comes along for missions (doesn’t happen much though) and ezra always makes sure to take holos of them snoring together to send to the rest of the crew because “TWO people snoring??? how am i supposed to get my beauty rest???”
chopper still makes snide comments to zeb but a lot of them are now threatening to tell kallus when he’s acting like a dumbass or when he’s picking on “kal’s favorite droid.” and of course when he’s not following hera he’s on kallus’s heels, bocking conversationally because kal always answers him and enjoys talking to the droid
sigh. kalluzeb and the ghost crew

The moon hung low on the horizon, casting a silvery glow across the quiet hilltop. Anakin Skywalker and you had returned from your respective missions, weary from the battles and conflicts that seemed to define the Clone Wars. Tonight, you both sought solace in the serenity of the night sky.
Laying on a blanket beneath a tapestry of stars, you gazed up at the twinkling constellations, captivated by the beauty of the cosmos. The galaxy seemed vast and endless, a stark contrast to the turmoil you faced on a daily basis.
Anakin's eyes, however, weren't on the stars above; they were fixed on you. He watched you in awe, his heart swelling with a deep, unspoken love. Your profile was illuminated by the soft moonlight, casting a gentle glow on your features, and in that moment, you were the most beautiful thing in the universe to him.
Lost in his thoughts, he finally broke the silence, his voice soft and filled with admiration. "You know, Y/N, I've seen countless stars in my lifetime, but none shine as brightly as you do."
You turned your head to meet his gaze, your eyes locking with his intense blue ones. His words caught you off guard, and a gentle blush colored your cheeks. "Anakin," you replied, your voice tender, "you have a way of making every moment feel extraordinary."
He reached out and gently traced a finger along your cheek, his touch sending shivers down your spine. "I can't help it," he whispered, his eyes never leaving yours. "You're the most incredible thing I've ever known."
Your heart swelled with emotion at his words, and you couldn't help but smile. Anakin's charm and intensity had always drawn you in, and tonight, beneath the starlit canvas of the galaxy, you felt a deep connection that transcended words.
As the night wore on, the two of you shared stories of your missions and the challenges you faced, finding solace in each other's understanding and support. Anakin's laughter echoed through the quiet hillside as he recounted a particularly amusing encounter with a droid army, and you couldn't help but join in.
The moments of levity were precious, a reminder that despite the weight of their responsibilities as Jedi and soldiers, you were still able to find joy in each other's company. Under the vast expanse of the night sky, it felt like the galaxy had granted you a brief respite from its turmoil.
As the hours passed, Anakin's gaze never wavered from you. He admired the way your eyes lit up with enthusiasm when you spoke about your passion for diplomacy and negotiation, and how your determination shone through when discussing your duties as a Jedi. To him, you were a beacon of hope and inspiration, a force of nature he couldn't resist and wasn’t going to.
At some point, you both lay down, side by side, your fingers intertwined as you continued to stargaze. The conversation gave way to comfortable silence, a shared appreciation for the quietude of the night.
Anakin broke the silence once more, his voice a soft whisper. "Y/N, I know we face so much uncertainty and danger every day, but the terrible agony im in when you are not near goes away as soon as my eyes see you. In the horrors of what we may or may not do in batter… when i’m with you anything is possible. I love you."
You turned to him, your eyes locking onto his, and the world seemed to fade away. You were mesmerized for his way with words, and how he would always know how to make you feel loved and appreciated. "Anakin," you replied as you look at him with all the love in the world, your voice filled with sincerity, "I love you too, more than words can express." You smiled as your thoughts gathered around one very specific… You can’t believe you are so lucky as to have him as a partner.
In that moment, beneath the starry tapestry of the universe, your love felt like a force of its own, unyielding and eternal. Together, you found strength, love, and hope under the stars, and for as long as you gazed upon them, you knew that no matter the challenges ahead, you would face them together.

Bad Batch -- Actually Probably Not Spoilers?
But Just In Case:
Like, for plot reasons, I see why they couldn't do it. But my biggest (and possibly the funniest) peeve I have with Bad Batch is this: Canonically, Tech is some kind of master hacker. Can forge chain codes after learning about them five seconds ago. Hacks battle droids -- presumably, you know, SECURED in some way -- on the regular. Masked a ship's signature or whatever. Calculates percentages of plans' successes on the fly while hanging upside down from a screechy flying reptile. Has zero fear (except when Omega is driving the Marauder or someone is doing the Wikipedia entry who isn't him) ("it's not affecting life support. We're fine"; riot racing; everything he's ever done). The moral heart of the Batch pre-Omega ("the systematic termination of the Jedi was a big one for me"; "I understand. I do not agree with you"; "of course we are a family"; "we have not always seen eye to eye with Crosshair but he is our brother and we do not leave our own behind"; but has no issue being pragmatic when it's called for (see: Cid, riot racing again, missions for Rex, interruptions thereof, etc.). Seriously. Wack job of a man. Crazy. Strict moral code arranged almost solely around his family that absolutely nobody sees coming and that, specifically, does NOT preclude massive destruction, property damage, and lethal measures. Ridiculous man. Homeschooled. Genetic Mandalorian. COMPETENT. (Usually.) Bona fide, literal, genetically-engineered test tube genius who is also biologically nine years old. Has no concept whatsoever of overkill. Point being -- he is EXACTLY the kind of person I would expect, once it sunk in that: 1. They are no longer Kaminoan/Republic property 2. They are, in fact, on the run with fam + new baby and - cranky but nonetheless beloved sniper bro who picked a terrible time to be stupid And 3. that "money" is now a thing they must Account For.... Give him two days to study finances, economy, and the various mafia; send him on a weekend trip to Nal Hutta to observe gangs, and hey presto -- the Hutts? overthrown in a year. Black Sun? Under new management. Pykes? A thing of the past. The Senate? Convening emergency sessions to discuss Where All the Money Has Gone. Palpatine's Secret Slush Fund #43? Drained. Hemlock's Science Budget? Currently funding the clone rebellion. ISB 401ks? Being used to pay someone to "retrieve" (read: kidnap) Crosshair from Rampart. Cad Bane's baby-stealing revenue? Currently outfitting the Marauder with gold plating. My point: WHY ISN'T TECH HACKING STAR WARS ATMs Story would have been over six episodes in. Tech would have foreclosed on the Palace; the Death Star would have fallen prey to insurance fraud; Omega would have grown up with more gowns than Padme. The Banking Clan bows to their new and, uh, eccentric overlords. Wrecker has thirteen new Z-6 cannons. Echo has thirteen natborn employees and is thoroughly enjoying himself. Hunter took an actual shower (still didn't get a new bandana). The Empire is turning over the empty coffers and shaking them out, wondering if they have rats. Mas Amedda is standing on street corners with an upturned hat. Crosshair is happily occupied with suing the Kaminoans for emotional damages. The end

Laser Tag
Tumblr media
HELLOOO
I have so many ideas and so little motivation LOL but im here with a cute story
premise: you do laser tag with your kickass android boyfriends
Warnings: CUTE, fake violence, cursing maybe, bullying of tween boys mayhaps, but its because they were rude, name calling, kissing, you shoot people with lasers so a lot of that language, spelling errors probably, slice of life
Connor, Nines and Sixty x reader
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Were really doing this" Nines sighed out, shutting the car door with a harsh click.
"Yes indeed" you spoke up, excitedly jumping out of the vehicle and giving a smiling Connor a small thank you for holding the door open. "You agreed to itttt" you sung out, bumping into the tall android, who rolled his eyes with a smirk tugging on his lips.
"Its gonna be fun" Sixty called as he came up behind you, clapping Nines on the back, which sent the surprised droid forward a few steps. Nines looked up and sent a death glare in the smug androids direction, who just shrugged and put his hands in his coat pockets.
Your group was currently in a damp parking lot downtown, under a rainy sky, making your way to the thrilling new date idea you had come up with recently.
Laser Tag
"I have been increasingly interested in this activity ever since you brought it up a 2 weeks ago my dear" Connor turned to you as he spoke, gently taking your hand in his and continuing on, not noticing how the action made your ears and cheeks red. You chuckled in acknowledgement to his comment and nuzzled deeper into your big puffy jacket (that you totally had stolen from Nines, not that he minded) and your group continued on to the main building.
Walking in, you noticed the whole building was themed like a medieval castle. It had tall spires and walls made to look like an old brick structure, and there were decorations of large colored flags, along with laser tag posters.
"This is impressive for a children's play place." Nines announced, also eying the interesting architecture. You smiled at his words, and continued on to the front desk, with Connor trailing right beside you. You appreciated him coming with you, he always did ever since you confessed that you weren't exactly the best in social situations. You got really nervous and choked up, which made everything awkward. He was very kind and understanding when he heard this, vowing to help you when he could.
You put on your nicest tone and greeted the employee. He stopped typing, and deeply sighed before addressing you.
"Welcome to the Zap Zone, how can I help you." he drawled, eyeing you and Connor with a wary look. He paused upon noticing Connors LED, which was peeking out from under his beanie, before looking down and seeing your held hands. The man looked back at the pair of you with a raised brow.
You pretended not to notice the employee's judgmental look, but it did give you pause. Your thoughts started to psych you out, before you felt a supportive squeeze to your hand in an attempt to calm you. Your emotional support Connor was reminding you that he was there to help. You cleared your throat before continuing.
"We have reservations for 4 people and 1 game? It should be under the name "Connor Anderson" rocking back and forth, you watched the man expectantly as he started typing on his computer. He then clicked on something, before reaching under his desk and bringing out a hand full of colored cards.
"You guys will play in the purple game. It starts in 10 minutes, and lasts 30" he explained, handing you the cards. "Did you sign the wavier online?" you nodded and he seemed to let out a relieved breath, grumbling something about the forms taking forever.
With the interaction coming to an end, you and Connor turned away from the desk, and you handed him his card. He slid it into his pocket, and pecked your forehead with a smooch as he did so. You giggled at the ticklish kiss, and noticed Sixty and Nines walking up to you two.
"We found lockers, you can put your bag in there. But watch out, there's some tweens stalking the area" Sixty explained scrunching up his nose before turning around to look behind his back and towards an arched doorway.
"Copy that" you winked, before stuffing some items into your bag and organizing the contents inside. You heard a scoff as you felt someone look over your shoulder and into your bag. You quickly shut it, before turning around to face a certain android.
"Its so unorganized" Nines sighed out, rolling his eyes as you playfully gasped, holding a hand to your chest. "I have a system!" you laughed out, shoving his shoulder while he smirked.
You walked past a giggling Sixty on your way to the locker, giving him a quick shove too. You started into a breathless jog when you heard him shout "hey!" but you were already gone and laughing,
After putting your stuff in a locker, and seemingly avoiding the teen boys, you came back to the main area and saw your boys sitting on a couch in the corner. They were conversing amongst themselves, before stopping when they saw your approach.
"Whatcha guys talking about?" you sighed out, plopping down on the old couch beside Sixty, who wrapped an arm around your shoulder the second you were settled.
"Game plans. I think we should go for the high ground" Connor grinned, looking like he was enjoying making up the plan. You nodded your head at the idea, looking up to the celling and squinting your eyes, trying to think of a strategy also.
The speakers suddenly blared through out the building, and you jumped in Sixty's hold. He rubbed your shoulder as you settled down, and you felt a little embarrassed for getting startled so easily. He just chuckled.
"Purple group, you start in 4 minutes, come to the counter to register code names" the tired employee from before spoke into the speaker, before it clicked off with another loud beep.
"Codenames?" Nines questioned, getting up from the couch and adjusting his clothes. You bounced out of Sixty's grip and stood up, basically vibrating from how excited you were.
"Codenames! You get to choose a cool name for yourself." you explained, before walking with the group to stand in line to register.
"Ill just be Nines, or RK900" Nines annouced, rolling his shoulders.
"Are you cosplaying as a boring person?" you frowned, punching his arm lightly. "You have to be something fun! Like....." you put your head down in concentration trying to think of names for Nines.
And then it dawned on you.
The perfect name
When you finally got to the counter, you were giggling and could barely speak. Connor went first.
"Ill be RoboCop" he announced, looking at you in approval. You laughed and gave him a thumbs up, and he beamed at you.
"Ill be 69" Sixty said, smiling at the employee, who gave him a dead stare before typing into the computer without looking.
"Im....." Nines looked at you with questioning eyes, and you gently whispered to him the name you thought up, before turning back to the employee.
"Terminator" Nines said simply, looking down to adjust his tie as he spoke.
The employee finally looked to you and you said confidently and loudly for everyone to hear, "beep boop"
The employee looked at you for a second before whispering a long "okay" and typing your name in.
You looked at the boys, who seemed very unimpressed.
"It took you 5 minutes for "beep boop" Sixty questioned, crossing his arms over his chest and giving you a playful glare.
"Okay mister 69" you laughed out, shoving the android while he laughed with you.
Soon you were all being led into a dark room, with instructions and rules being read to you by a more expressive employee. You found out that if you got shot you wouldn't be permanently out, you just lost points. And you earned points for lasering someone. While you were listening, you turned to watch the boys all focused intently on the speaker, and you could see their LEDS changing color in the dark.
Eventually, you were walking down a flight of stairs and into a room that smelt like sweaty people. You found your pack, which was a vest with lights on the shoulder and chest, and slipped it on with Connor helping you clip it into place.
And then it begun.
You had 5 minutes to find a hiding place, and then the game started.
The droids had all promised that they wouldn't use their special abilities for this game, so you were all going in blind.
And it was a trip.
The space was a huge arena with hundreds of walls. There were mirrors on basically every surface, and thick smoke was rolling in, giving everything a hazy appearance and making it hard to see.
"Guys go right!" You heard Sixty yell from behind. Your group shuffled to the right, until you stumbled upon a staircase. You called for the group, and you all eventually found the top of the arena.
"Keep low" Connor whispered, crouching on your right. You said a quiet conformation, before your pack started to audibly count down, signaling the game would start soon. You turned to see Sixty blocking the entrance of the top area, acting like a guard, and Nines settled in on your left.
Finally, the pack finished the count down.
And you were off.
The boys from before instantly started screaming from below, and you looked to see them running in the maze.
And you unleashed hell.
You all fired from above, and the boys screamed louder as the continually got hit by your party. You broke into giggles when they retreated, and reached for a double high five with Connor and Nines. Nines just stared at your hand, and Connor actually high fived you.
A half-win.
You stayed up in the canopy for a good 10 minutes, maintaining your position. You got shot a couple times from below, but you were trying not to worry about the points. You were doing pretty good!
Until the tweens banned together.
You heard Sixty yell something, and you turned just in time to see him get shot a couple times. He groaned as he watched his points go down on the screen of his pack.
You let out a small scream-gasp thing and turned to run for the other exit on the level just as an army of 12-year old's stormed in.
You went down a few levels of the arena before you realized something.
You were not being followed.
Now you were totally alone, with no idea where your boybots had gone.
With no way of finding the boys currently, you wandered around a bit. Soon you were lost in the hazy maze of smoke and neon, occasionally shooting someone.
No sign of your team.
Until you heard someone yelling.
"BEEP BOOP WHERE ARE YOU"
You wheezed so hard and unexpectedly, gripping your stomach, and folding over yourself in a fit of giggles. You heard feet thundering in your direction, and someone tapped your shoulder making you look up and see Sixty breathlessly gazing at you. He nodded his head to a secluded corner, and you gave him a thumbs up while trying to calm yourself.
As you rounded it, you witnessed something great.
Nines was lying on the ground, a level below you and Sixty, firing at some tween boys. His face was fully serious, like he was on a personal mission. When the group started to run he got up, standing at his full height, and broke into a sprint after them as they screamed in terror.
"He said he'll meet us over there" Sixty leaned over and pointed to the opposite side of the arena, towards one of the spires.
"I don't know if he will, he seemed to be fully concentrated in his mission down there." You giggled, looking up at the android. You (accidently) took notice of his cute, messy hair and saw his mechanical body was breathing hard.
You looked down slightly at his lips, just out of curiosity, and they curved into a smirk as he noticed what you were doing.
"Are you guys seriously going to make-out in a family friendly laser tag establishment?" a voice cut in.
You playfully shoved Sixty away while he grumbled in disappointment, and you turned to face an unimpressed Connor.
"Nuh-uh" was all that came from you. You crossed you arms to add an emphasize on your words, but that just made Connor smile fondly.
"Sure"
So now you, Connor and Sixty were running through the arena, ducking behind walls and using the thick smoke to your advantage.
When you got to the spire, there was still no sign of Nines, and only 10 minutes left in the game.
So you all went solo.
Your remaining boyfriends came up with a codeword to use if anyone was in danger, and to make sure you didn't accidently shoot each other.
It was something very meaningful, poetic, and totally encapsulated your experience.
"pineapple"
And so, it was decided.
The plan was to find Nines, and regroup in the same spot after 3 minutes.
So you all split up once again.
As you were roaming the area, you heard the tween boys once again.
So following the voices, you found who you were looking for.
He was lying on the ground once again in a sniper position, shooting at the group.
You went up and lied down next to him, kissing his cheek. The android rumbled and turned to look at you.
"Why are you harrassing a group of children?" you asked, chuckling a little to yourself.
"They called me and Sixty "idiots" earlier" he spoke, stopping to look at you with a smirk. "They also called you a bimbo when they thought we were far away enough" he whispered, kissing your forehead.
"Ohhhhh, continue blasting then" was all you said, looking down at the boys as they yelled "gross" to you and Nines. Smirking, you nodded your head to the boys.
He smiled.
And grabbed the back of your head, pulling you in for a deep, over- exaggerated kiss.
You heard the voices grow louder from below, with the boys yelling in disgust at your smackeroo.
Parting for air, you both broke out in quiet laughter.
Finally you guys got up and wiped the grime of the floor from your clothes, Nines proceeding to say he needed to change when you got home.
Making your way back to the designated meeting place, you found Sixty and Connor fighting off some fellow adults who were also enjoying the childlike wonder of laser tag.
You yelled out a battle cry, screaming "PINEAPPLE" and joined the fight, ducking behind a wall to strike from slightly above. Overwhelming the pair, who pulled away in the end.
When you were in the clear, you turned to the androids, smiling and proudly pointing in Nines direction
"Found him"
Then the lights on all your packs went off, and that meant the game was over. You made to high five everyone, which surprisingly everyone accepted, and your group shuffled to the exit.
Outside the arena, the light from outside was like a flash bang. You winced and covered your eyes, groaning in pain.
"Aww toughn up" Sixty punched your arm, making you deliver him a dirty look.
Finally, it was time to see the scores.
"In first place.......Terminator" you read out, gasping as you turned to Nines. He just smirked and adjusted his tie, slightly glancing at the group of kids staring at him with anger.
In the end, Connor got in 3rd, Sixty got 4th, and you got.....
17th
but you had fun!
You all left in good spirits, with you regaling Connor and Sixty of what happened while you were looking for Nines.
A good day you think

Anakin & Trauma
So there´s this talk around saying that being part of the Jedi Order was akin to taking therapy and that it was Anakin the one who didn´t respond well to therapy and I honestly don´t know where to begin because this is honestly false and is victim blaming.
The Jedi Order´s Philosophy on it´s own isn´t a therapy, not even real world buddhism from which George Lucas took some narrative clues is a therapy, it is a way of life, yes, a philosophy under which it´s members WILLINGLY become a part of it but this isn´t a therapy.
They don´t address trauma, they don´t address anxiety, they don´t address suicidal ideation, etc.
In fact, while Lucas took some narrative clues from real world buddhism, we can´t truly say in good faith the Jedi Order works like real world buddhism, beggining with the fact that they take away choice from their members, they are brought too young into the fold to make a real decision over if they want to become part of their order or not, they take away their parents and cut all connections forever, that doesn´t happen in buddhism, they are openly an armed part of the state even if their functions are diplomacy, buddhism isn´t part of any state , I could go on but I guess the idea is clear.
So blaming Anakin for not "responding well to therapy" isn´t just false, it´s victim blaming, it´s willingly ignoring the context of the story.
In the story the roots of Anakin´s trauma came from slavery and the forced separation from his mother, both situations that never were addressed by the Jedi Order or by Obi-Wan in Anakin´s training, they were openly suppresed while sending Anakin the message that he was the problem for caring and fearing for his mother´s life, his mother who was left alone with a bomb inside her body in a planet ran by the mafia, this isn´t therapy, this is gaslighting.
Wether the Jedi Council or Obi-Wan were aware of it, they willingly made Anakin doubt his own reality and made him take the blame for not taking well his separation from his mother and I don´t know you but if someone, anyone, told me I had to leave my mother behind as a slave with a bomb inside her body because their physophy said so and I was their chosen one so I have to obey them I would have punched them in the face and left to free my mom, chosen one prophecy and Jedi be damned but Anakin was a child, he didn´t have the emotional and verbal skills to even express how wrong all of this was and how much harm they were doing to him.
The signals were clear from the beggining, Obi-Wan noticed that Anakin didn´t have any friends in the Order, that he mostly expend his time with droids and it was the same even when he became an adult and a respected general, can you imagine the level of isolation Anakin had to felt living inside the Jedi Order, that he no longer could relate to the people around him because they saw him as a stranger and he saw them as strangers as well?, that he had to expend his time with droids? when he used to have many friends and acquitances and people who cared about him in his planet of origin despite the horrible reality that he was a slave?, do you believe it talks well about the Order the fact Anakin had better emotional balance and support network living as a slave on Tatooine but with friends and family than living as a member of the Jedi Order?
The Jedi Order were not a supporting network for Anakin, they could not be because their way of life and philosophy openly harmed Anakin, keep him from addressing his trauma, keep him from having comunication with his mother, keep him from learning to manage his emotions without suppresing them and openly shunned him for his past as a slave in current disney canon so don´t tell me this is how a supporting network works or that Anakin was at fault for all of this.
The only person close and interested enough in Anakin to notice the dissaster happening to Anakin´s mental state was freaking Sheev Palpatine, he inmediately noticed Anakin was going to grow up bitter and resentful of the Jedi Order given how they keep him separated from his mother, he noticed he needed a friend who didn´t talk about the Jedi code every five minutes, he noticed he needed a father figure because he never had a father and Obi-Wan actively refused to be one given his beliefs and phylosophy, too bad for Anakin that Palpatine was also a sith lord who planned on destroying his very sense of self and person so he could use his power, he saw all of this happening and let it happen because it helped his cause and he could be the cool parent who lets Anakin talk about his issues without jedi philosophy as he used to do on Tatooine with his Mom and his friends while also adding some psycological issues of self worth to Anakin´s trauma under the image of him caring for Anakin´s well being. Don´t get me started on the Jedi Order allowing this for the sake of keeping a good political relationship with the Chancellor, what´s a kid well being in comparision to a good relationship with the Senate after all but this is a rant for another day.
While Obi-Wan´s love and company could and did help to weather the worst of this, the fact Obi-Wan seemed to care first because of his promise to Qui-Gon, the fact that he didn´t care for Anakin for himself when all people need to be cared for themselves at least in their early years to grow up emotionally stable, need to be loved for themselves, not just for who they are to an institution or as a symbol like the chosen one, which the Jedi Council shunned and put in doubt from the beggining anyway, even if Obi-Wan himself tried to believe in that because his master cared for that stuff, by doing this Obi-Wan subconciously send Anakin the message he was only worth to the Order and to him because he was the chosen one, if he wasn´t then he would have been left a slave on Tatooine just like his mother was, which isn´t that far from reality, Qui-Gon only got interested in Anakin for his force sensitivity, not his kindness and generosity helping strangers when he didn´t have much himself and was a slave.
This truly makes me mad because doing this to a kid isn´t just cruel, it´s abuse be it blind on the Jedi Order´s part or willing abuse on Palpatine´s part, an injustice, a never addressed injustice and even the narrative tries not to tackle this in all i´ts intensity but this is why Lucas said that Anakin was a victim and sure the Jedi were also victims of Palpatine and Anakin by proxy during Order 66 but I think fandom needs to address more in good faith that Anakin himself was their victim first if not the entire Jedi Order (and Palpatine of course) of the adults who were in charge and supposely cared for him and truly didn´t, not in the way that truly matters.
So it is any surprise Anakin wanted to leave the Order to raise his child with Padmé? because honestly I believe that in his situation that was the healthiest decision he could make without completely cutting his ties to what he loved and respected of being a Jedi, so it´s tragic he didn´t get that opportunity because the other adult in his life decided he wanted him as his weapon and manipulated him by isolating him from all his loved ones into becoming exactly that.

no because anakin was never dealt with a winning anything, my dude spent years as a slave’s kid working in the junk shop building droids as a form of fun.
i always enjoy the whole “Anakin just expected Obi-wan and Padmé to trust and listen to him?? Asshole” discourse because like… yeah??
not trying to self insert here but as a mentally I’ll individual 🫡 who in a fit of mania sometimes believes they are absolutely, 100% right and has the irrational thinking of; “im right, and you love me, you’re the person I love most, you should get it” & is totally irrationally emotional when they DONT, yeah… I GET THAT SIR!!
Even if it’s completely understandable, deep down I know they’re not at fault for not getting my own emotions, I’m in control of those — not others. I know this. Still, when my partner says something that goes against me it’s like nails against chalkboards sometimes
Again, when looking at Anakin he had nothing. He was a slave all his life, just to a different master each time. on Tatooine, to the Jedi/code, Palpatine and even to the Darth vader suit, he is never of his own free will. It was Qui-gon’s choice to win Anakin, to take him from his mother and home to what he thought would be a better life. granted it is, but he also finds himself isolated from what is imo what is supposed to be his “placeholder family”
MORE IMPORTANTLY Padmé is the love of his life, telling him that what he thinks they need, what he’s done for her and their family etc to be at peace/alive was actually WRONG!! BAD!! All meanwhile he doesn’t have any of his support at his side; Rex is off with ahsoka, obi-wan is fighting grievous on utpau meanwhile Palpatine has puppy Anakin at his every whim and call ((lets not forget that Palpatine had to have been grooming Anakin from a relatively young age)) They don’t get it, they didn’t see Padmé die before their very eyes, they don’t know what’s waiting them. Anakin is trying to save his family. Obi-Wan going against him is salt in the wound, even if Anakin himself knows it’s wrong and against the code and just completely evil.
I mean, Padmé FORGAVE him for the whole tusken massacre smh is it such a stretch to believe she would stand by his side as he waged war against the galaxy? i mean… isn’t that what love is…..? selfish, passionate, narcissistic, messy? she herself is a politician who often prioritized Anakin over her own duties I bet my man expected some “if you have a body in your trunk I’ll bring the shovel” type beat which also, i reiterate, WHY WOULDN’T HE when his wife forgave him for mass genocide, children included?,
he is emotionally/mentally fragile, he just recently slew younglings and killed Mace — you think this mf is thinking logically? Stop giving him the benefit of the doubt; he was a mess throughout the series, not once did he ever have his feet on the ground. He isn’t suddenly going to make the “right” decision, especially if it means sacrificing his loved ones. He’s an extremely flawed character, stop expecting him to make the right call.
The blocks of Anakin’s character have been set up to fall, Obi-Wan and Padmé are two of his most beloved relationships aside from his MOTHER that are completely dogging on his only hope of SAVING THEM. Anakin was never simply, “you have to do what I say or else I’ll get upset!” that’s a disrespect to his character — he can think logically. He isn’t a child. He is strategic, effective, in tcw he is the most efficient victorious warrior making Palpatine’s efforts look even better as leader of the republic. He builds droids from the time he is a young child all throughout his formative - adult years to the extent where knows how to understand their bleep bloops.
Anakin is flawed deeply, he was doomed from the get-go, never had a chance. His feelings are complex and deep and he questions the faith he swore to follow/protect. His character is so interesting to me and I have such a difficult time depicting the raw duality of man he wears on his shoulders everyday. Our desire to do good, yet to be evil; our desire to be unselfish, yet we are selfish.
This beautiful, scarred, monstrous mosaic of a man who from the very beginning, had a huge amount of pressure on him was meant to be so horribly dismantled. What other choice did he have? He is the chosen one, how could he be wrong? How could his idea of saving his family be any less honourable than the Jedi of the Galaxy?
He isn’t simply angry at them for not agreeing with him/falling with him, he feels betrayed. Personally. Obi-Wan and Padmé are pieces of Anakin, people that he loved so fiercely he labeled them as his enemies once they hurt him, he is too far gone to give them any semblance of second chances
anyways yep happy Thursday guys

*takes a deep breath*
Kallus views Hera as a younger sister and treats her as such.
Of course still upholds immense respect for her and has deep faith in her capabilities, but when she tries to do her "I'm adopting you as one of my children" moves,
Kallus performs an uno reverse by looking after her and aiding her here and there, continously checking in to make sure she's taking care of herself while she's busy taking care of others
and while doing this, he is very self aware of making sure he is also taking care of himself so she doesn't try and do it for him because she's always so focused on taking care of others already and Kanan tends to be the only other one to mutually make sure she's doing well.
Kallus is willing to do anything for Hera, sometimes to the point where even he doesn't know where his limits would be, if there are any.
Kallus is an attentive older brother type, the kind who uplifts you and remembers every little habit and makes sure you're not just physically doing well but also mentally/emotionally. And just as much as Kallus sees Hera as a younger sister, she sees him as an older brother (which brings about its own wave of emotions in her).
Kallus being the responsible type has eased Hera into an area of herself that she doesn't get to really explore. Hasn't had the chance to. Which is being the younger sister and testing boundaries.
And even though he worries when she acts rashly, he still supports her and makes sure that if she does slip, he or some else of the ghost crew will be there.
Also adding on to her exploring being her age thing/exploring not being the responsible one. Hera does that younger sibling thing where they drag the older siblings around and into chaos because "you need to loosen up, be dangerous sometimes. It's healthy to cause some chaos" and Kallus is both concerned and fond of the fact that Chopper is unquestionably her droid.

Okay, another dumb Star Wars comment I heard in my journeys in Star Wars YouTube. I was reading through a bunch of comments people had made hating on the Kenobi show (and that show is my entire heart so I was mostly doing it to entertain myself by seeing the terrible Jedi takes) but aside from all the unfortunate hate for the show I came across one person who claimed that it should have been Luke if the show was going to involve one of the skytwins, because Leia doesn’t react when Obi-Wan comes for her in A New Hope, and because Obi-Wan and Luke “SEEM TO KNOW EACH OTHER PRETTY WELL LATER ON” so they should’ve talked about how they became close.
like…… did you not WATCH A New Hope?
That’s…. That’s how they become close. 😭 (also Leia was super excited when she found out he was there so)
I think you can make a solid argument that it might've made more sense for it to be Luke instead of Leia just by simple logistics I guess. Leia doesn't really SEEM to know Obi-Wan super well within ANH, it's Luke who grieves Obi-Wan more openly and Luke who yells out Obi-Wan's name on the Death Star right before he dies, etc etc. Luke is the person that Obi-Wan has been most connected to at this point while Leia's knowledge of Obi-Wan seems to have primarily come through stories told to her by Bail and little else.
And while obviously ANH is supposed to stand on its own in building Obi-Wan and Luke's relationship, they really only get a few days together and a lot of Luke's connection to Obi-Wan seems to come from this desire to be a Jedi and the connection to his father he craves so desperately as well as just the fact that he loses everything else so his only real option IS to go with Obi-Wan. It's a different kind of connection than the one we see built between Obi-Wan and Leia in this show that feels more personal. I LIKE Obi-Wan and Luke's relationship well enough, but I am brought to literal tears by Obi-Wan and Leia's. So for people who like Obi-Wan and Luke more than I did and picked up on the extra emotional depth of the relationship given to Obi-Wan and Leia, I can understand the wish for it to have been applied to Luke instead of Leia, to bolster the already existing relationship rather than creating a new one.
So I GET IT. I don't feel the same way, the Obi-Wan and Leia relationship stole my whole heart and was a large part of why I loved that show, but I can see the reasoning for why people might feel that way.
That being said, Luke's had his turn to shine. He got an entire trilogy of films dedicated to HIS STORY and his growth into being a Jedi while Leia was primarily there as a supporting character in his story. The Kenobi show HIGHLIGHTS Leia and the growth that allowed her to become the person we know from the OT. We get to see that development happen for her and how Obi-Wan helps jumpstart it. We get to see more of what being an Organa means to her and her relationship with her parents, we get to see her love of ships and droids (clearly inherited from Bail), we get to see her passion for helping people and sparky attitude (also inherited from Bail), and the unbridled optimism she has in the fact that goodness and selflessness still exists in the world and it's worth believing in and fighting for. We got SO MUCH for Leia in this and it's about damn time something in high canon focused on her instead of her brother anyway.
So I think you CAN fit the events of the show into canon relatively easily, especially Obi-Wan and Leia having had this relationship, but I can understand people wanting more of Luke and feeling like the Obi-Wan and Luke relationship was usually more narratively relevant prior to this and was an easy place to flesh it out and explore it more in depth in a way ANH just isn't really able to do.
