Last night was a fucking fever dream. I laughed so hard until I cried and I woke up with a massive headache.
But I'm finally able to talk about what the problem is and people have already picked it out. Mainly when it comes to the red team.
They took a group of rper and forced them to play RUST, if you don't know what Rust is. Your YouTube algorithm isn't fucked like mine. It basically a game where no one wins. The whole point is that you build a base you farm materials for your base and you raid other people for their materials. That it's there is no end goal, but people sweat at that game.
An that's what Purgatory is, instead of each team going off to build multi bases, they have one home base. Instead of setting spawn points they only get one spawn point. An when they die their stuff stays on their body for anyone to take just like RUST.
The problem is they want player conflict, and for it to be something different and new unlike the leisurely life they led on quesadilla Island. They want that conflict that beautiful fitmc, where he turns back into the hardcore 2bt2 player and now that just everyone's problem.
I'm specifically going to look at the red team because they decide to put all the Lore heavy people together and they stuck survivalists with non players/builder. Charlie, Jaiden, Baghera are all pretty casual players. An Carre is never coming back after yesterday, if he does hell has frozen over.
Now I can take or leave whether the red team is cursed or not. I'm sitting directly in the middle of yeah it would be too obvious that red is cursed. Cause they legit have admin fucking with Philza. To it would be ironically funny if it was just the red team. Philza being the one to make the team curse cause the narrative has been beating his ass.
Anyway- the first thing that would have to be changed is the system of which people gain point. They want conflict, fighting is the best way to do that. Make it so killing people is gives you more points. But in turn you have to turn up the specialist factor so people don't just go on manhunts. You have to make it so if you are gonna go out into the world to kill. The world has to be beating your ass to make it fair.
This is the only way you can allow survivalist characters such as Philza and Cellbit to survive is by forcing them to make homes and equipment to survive natural disasters and other players. An you gain more by adventuring around as well. Movement should be awarded.
It's no longer race to the top of a volcano to turn in quest. It's now, race to the top of a volcano while it's erupting, to turn in quest to get equipment.
This allows players like Baghera, Jaiden and Charlie to focus on more homestead task. Building, food supply, and mining material. To make it so that if you can't turn in a quest you aren't fucked. I'm assuming the admins want NO working together with other teams. They want them to suffer thus we gotta rearrange with that suffering means.
For instants: If you build a base whether that be underground or not. You can be subject to raids, which means you actually gotta plan and hide your shit. If they find it oh well.
Your base can be destroyed but hard to craft items such as let's say enchanting table and villagers are a no go you can not take them or destroy them. Anything that would destroy a player morale shit like that is a no. We want it to be something you can work back towards and think about how do we make this thing better.
Natural disasters are more common than the minor problems, the your inventory moving on it own is less, and your controls swapped are less. We change that too, every 2 to 3 hours the weather changes. And it stays that way for the next 2 to 3 hours. In game or out would be up to the admins.
Task still exist, global still exist, but now it's a race to the top. The only time you can turn anything in is during a Natural disaster. Once a player picks something up. From their turn-in they become immune to damage certain amount of time. Then it's a free for all but that gives the turn in team time to run.
An once they enter their base they are considered safe. You have earned supplies for your team, immunity from raids and a shit ton of points. That's for the team who turns it in first.
Player can still turn in task and earn suppliers. That supplies is limited but even if your last you still get something.
How do you stop people from camping someone base or Gobal.
Easy, immunity for the team to do turn in first last the whole day until the next day. Where it loses its effect, that gives the team time to move their shit if they so wish or be ready to defend.
Global is even more easy global is locked until it is time and 2 if an admin catches you camping any where near it. You get one tapped don't be a camper.
How to stop people from camping others bases. (I think that just falls under don't be an asshole. An maybe making a shield around the spawn point with an area of effect could also help.)
I didn't want to complain and not give like legit fixs for the problems they have. Cause it's one thing to scream and say stuff is broke and it's another to actually come up with ideas to fix it.

hii!! i just wanna say your comic and starspeak lore are SO cool omg!! the way you incorporate the essence of the starfolk culture into their language is incredibly creative and very fitting auauagahsahdbsnsnn <3
i'm pretty interested in all the grammar of the language!! i think you mentioned that there's a question particle that kind of works like mandarin chinese, do other final particles exist? little tone indicators in the language seems like it would help mutual understanding between a bunch of mystical star-beings :0
also, if it's been developed yet, how do verbs work in this? granted, i don't know a lot about greek/latin languages or if you're basing the grammar off of them too, but does it lean more towards romance language's crazy conjugations, or a simpler "subject verb noun" structure?
sorry if this is a lot haha i know the language is still a wip, but it's such a cool concept! i think languages are really interesting and the way you incorporate it into kirby is so mmbdbbrnzmxfh✨✨
alright, this one took me a very long time to get to (because i knew it would be long and i've been working on it on and off for a while) and i'm so sorry! thank you so much for your patience veve! and it's been a little while since we've had a starspeak post so let's go!
(i will preface by saying again that the language is still very much a wip which i could change at any time, and that i'm no trained specialist; i'm just doing this for fun and there's a high chance i fully have no clue what i'm talking about 😅)
Tumblr media
❓ i'll start with the easiest one of these and go for the question particle!
i think that Celestials are not often doubtful or questioning things, but when they do the particle is an opener rather than a sentence-final (such as ma (嗎/吗) in mandarin chinese). it otherwise works extremely similarly in that it is tagged on to turn a sentence into a question.
so the most common starspeak question particle is tc, almost a mouth sound than a word. the letters are a combination not often used elsewhere in their speech patterns, which i like to think also wraps back around to them being fairly certain of most things they open their mouths to say.
tc is predominantly used when seeking clarification about someone else's experiences, which is probably one of the more frequent times they wouldn't know something in (self-presumed) absolution.
combining it with some other things we've learned; épios (see) and eu (you) we can ask someone what they're seeing presently, where the target of the speaker (eu) is in active possession of the seeing action and vl is an active tense:
"tc vlépios eu?" // "(what's) seen (by) you?" // "what do you see?"
unfortunately in the conlangs current state, moving things around even a little bit throws out the meaning of sentences a lot, which is something i could probably iron out more with significantly more time 😅 "tc eu vlépios?" for example would be closer to "you're seen?" and "tc vlépios-eu?" would probably be like.. "what sight possesses you?", which is... still kind of the same i suppose but it's just an unnecessarily intense way to say it 😂
🥰 okay! question particle done and it was not actually the easiest but anyway; onto the personaliser! "ki".
i'm not 100% sure if this sort of thing exists in other languages or what it might be called to begin researching, but it's ostensibly a way to turn an external item or concept into something internal or individualised
asté (star/s) for instance is a very overused word in their language, understandably. you can use it to refer to gaseous bodies, other Celestials, other non-Celestial beings, or even a specific individual rank within a relationship system. ei asté applies an amount of ownership over the star/s, but still does not make them an individual in their own right. you would most likely use this if you happened to be carting around an actual giant flaming ball of gas
ei astéki however immediately makes the star something more personal, a little soul-deep. maybe it's a warm light inside you, or maybe it's the beating heart of another living being. dropping the 'ei' you could use this as a nickname, though it'd be kind of like calling someone 'person'.
"ei astéki skotei koris eu" // "my stars dimmed lacking you" // functionally just a really big ham "i missed you"
🤏 alright rolling on, last one: a diminutive. this one's easier i think; maybe i ought have started here. oh well!
like it says on the tin, this is to make things small and/or cute! the particle is ró and it is usually tacked on at or towards the end of a word. much like in english i think this is usually done affectionately. though it could be done a little pettily or rudely, being small in size is significantly less of a negatively-judged-concept by Celestials than being low in brightness.
here's some examples, probably the easiest way to go about this one! all of these are actively affectionate, not unlike a pet name?
moiydísró - (small) cheeky one astéróki - small star (personaliser; makes this a clear nickname) ei Vaýtitaró - my little gravity
💬 and then to wrap up, this last part about verbs and conjugations!
answering this one with complete confidence would require that i were a bit better at this and had it more fixed and figured out, but i'll do my best!! i'm not really basing the grammar off any one language in particular (I only use translations to form a rough sound/word and go from there), just kind of what feels like the right sort of vibe.
because i was just doing this for myself and for fun i didn't start out with any rules, just rolled with what i enjoyed! if you were doing conlang more seriously i think it would help to set those rules up at the outset 😅
in its present state, my starspeak seems to me to be a topic prominent language with less individual conjugations and more modifiers; including significant reliance on sentence order and word placement
so instead of having many different words for see (seen, saw, to see) it's more about the placement, word combinations, and other modifiers;
ei épios - me see (a request, often used in place of 'wake up') vlépios ei - seeing by me (active tense added by vl but it's not strictly necessary) eu épios - you see (the speaker sees the target) épios-koris eu - without seeing by you (sight possesses a term for "lack", so the sight itself is lacking. "you don't see clearly", ostensibly.) épios ei prioto - seeing by me before (i saw it earlier)
this is sort of a necessity because right now the overall variety of words is limited; both by the earliness of its development and also because i think that this is a species that might not have needed a lot of words.
maybe they moved the same few hundred words around and minced them up in new ways rather than making lots of new ones. maybe they might have communicated through body language as much as with words (despite how much galacta knight clearly loves the sound of his own voice) or maybe i'll change my mind and they'll be a talkative bunch and we'll have dozens of new words soon 😂
anyway, i hope this is a ~fun and cool answer~ that you will enjoy despite its incredible lateness and sprawling length!! thank you so so much for asking me about the language; as you can tell i dearly love to talk about it despite its nebulousness, and i'm sorry it took me so long to get this out!

GUESS WHOSE BOOK ARRIVED TODAYYYYYY SO NOW I GET TO POST PICS!!!!
This is To Hell and Back Again, by dear dear @perexcri. Cover design by @byierficrecs (thank you SO much for letting me use your design!). Binding by me!
I'm not in ST fandom, but I had the pleasure of skimming this fic while I was typesetting, and can I just say? I'm rooting for these kids SO hard. I'd go to hell and back again for them--[GUNSHOT]
But in all seriousness, Leah's writing is whip-smart, sincere, and funny as hell. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is a fan of these crazy kids. Her ao3 is a veritable treasure trove of excellent byler stories, which you should absolutely check out right now go do it!!!
As usual, process chatter and more pics, under the cut! <3
WORD COUNT: 144k
FONTS:
Title: Hellprint
Heading/Chapter Headings/Spine Titling: Norwester
C4 Summary: Roboto Condensed
Main Body Text: Garamond
COVER MATERIAL: Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte, printed on my Epson Ecotank (more on that later baha)
HEADBANDS: Trebizond silk thread in the colors Garnet and Black
EDGE PAINTING: Acrylic paint in Crimson and Black
TITLING: Red iron-on foil for the text and white HTV for my maker's mark. Cut by Charlotte, my Cricut!
BINDING:
This was my first go at a German Bradel binding! I've seen lots of Renegade folks use this method and am so psyched I got around to trying it myself. I modified DAS's approach a bit and tipped on endpapers instead of sewing them in (there were a lot of new things to learn so I decided to shelve sewn endpapers for the next binding XD). I also only had 2.0 mm bookboard instead of 1.0 mm, so instead of layering two of the same boards like DAS did, I instead used one 2.0 mm board and one very thin piece of cardboard to create the groove for the hinge. The original article that DAS bases his video on actually uses boards of two different sizes too--a "thick" board and a "thin" board--but I still want to experiment with DAS's way of doing it, especially since I think it'll be easier to do cutouts on thinner board.
As far as matching the groove with the hinge, I think I did pretty okay for my first try! One board is definitely better fitting than the other though baha. There's always room for improvement, but hey that's where half the fun is anyway (and also you can't tell after the case-in whew), so I'm not stressed about it :D
Tumblr media
COLOR SCHEME:
Nearly all of my design decisions for the color scheme were based off of @byierficrecs's gorgeous cover design! They were so generous in letting me use their cover and answering my questions about fonts, for which I can't thank them enough. And with so many wonderful elements to work with, it was so much fun to tease out the elements I loved from their work!
I decided to keep with the theme of red/black, which I also thought was fitting for a ST fic set largely in the Upside Down. Thus, black painted edges with red vines, as a kind of inverted, "upside down" continuation of the cover:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even the thread I used to sew the signatures is red/black! :3 (please also ignore how the picture of the textblock is not focused on the actual textblock ajsldkfjs it was very late when I took that photo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
COVER PRINTING:
This was my first time printing a cover on my new printer (!!!), and BOY oh boy was it an adventure. Figuring out the dimensions took a second, but not as long as it took me to figure out what settings produced something I was happy with. Behold, all my test prints:
Tumblr media
Very long story short, let's just say now I understand why being a prepress color specialist is literally a career you can have in publishing LOL.
Also, for some reason I could only sometimes get the bleed to work? Basically what I ended up doing was painting over the parts where the design didn't quite extend over the turn-ins, using with the same black acrylic paint I used for the edges. You can see this more clearly in the photos I took of the groove, and the endpapers covered the messy bits when I cased in:
Tumblr media
THE MAIN INGREDIENT: LOVE
Finally!! The most important part of the process!!! HI LEAH ILY!!!! This fic is special for a lot of personal reasons, but chief among them is LOVE!!!! Your A/N's made me tear up when I first read it, because AH! You read my words of love!!! And went and wrote hundreds of thousands of your own words of love!!! And now I hope I've given that love back once again :3 And on and on we go, ad infinitum, until we are relieved of the curse of literacy and greet whatever comes after all this, thanks be to Todd. But until then, I'm so glad I get to shoot holes out of bagels and scream about radioactive tumblr posts and cry over fake people with you, friend :] Truly, peace and love on FUCKING Planet Earth. We are making it and we will all go together when we--[ANOTHER GUNSHOT]
I'm so excited to see where we're going, and what other stories we have to tell. But for now: EEEEEEEE YOU WROTE A BOOK!!!!!!!

I'm planning out an Honour mode run(which will also be origin Astarion run) and I was wondering if you have any tips for it? All my characters will be multiclassers and I'm planning which weapons and armor to use, but I'm just curious what someone with probably one thousand hours in the game thinks could help
Ironically, I just this week beat the Honor Mode with a friend of mine, hee hee.
Alright, so here goes!
My Personal Team Comp
Paladin/Fighter (My buddy)
Paladin/Fighter (Astarion at first, Minthara later)
Storm Sorcerer (Karlach for me but it could be anyone, really, I was just trying to get the dating achievement- Karlach is actually a terrible Sorcerer because her race gives her smite spells...which she can't use effectively, as a staff user...)
Ranger/ Rogue/ Fighter (Me)
Reasoning:
Two frontliners is always good, to keep the aggro off of the squishier half of the party. Plus, the melee classes get to hit multiple times, which is just, insanely good, and lets you destroy targets. Paladin is obviously the most broken class, but a Paladin Fighter is a great multi class for Action Surge and Battle Maneuvers! Make sure to grab Disarming Attack and prioritize stealing weapons so enemies can't hit you very hard anymore!
You might want to have some kind of Rogue, for sneak attack, and disengage potential as well! Good for long range picks, and quick killing of high priority targets. Plus, two frontliners make it so you always have advantage.
And you of course need an AOE spellcaster of some kind. I think the Warlock is pretty powerful, mostly because of Eldritch Blast and Hunger of Hadar cheese, but the Sorcerer is the strongest magic caster with all their excellent Metamagic passives. They can also regain a lot of spell slots and have a ridiculous DPS output. But Hunger of Hadar is an excellent spell; it is without question the BEST AOE spell in the game.
The key to beating BG3 in any mode is to make distance.
Force your enemies through tight choke points stuffed with magical obstacles and just pick them off as they try to get through.
Hunger of Hadar is broken because not only are they blind, but they're also SLOWED and you get ADVANTAGE on them when they're in it, AND it does damage, AND as I mentioned before, you can throw them back INTO it when they try to get out with Eldritch Blast, which is also just excellent for throwing enemies away from you.
So Sorcerer or Warlock are excellent choices, but I personally have more of an affinity for Sorcerer.
Now.
Why Storm Sorceror specifically?
Because they get the best passives. People say Draco Sorcerers are the best, but their passive is only helpful early on. The Storm Sorcerer passive lets you cast FLY as a bonus action every time you use a level 1 or higher spell! The disengage potential is critical for Honor Mode, plus it's great for just repositioning whenever you want. Plus you get excellent passives like Heart of the Storm, AND you get immunity to multiple damage types, instead of just one!
Why the Ranger/Rogue/Fighter?
Check out this guy's comp, which I used. It is insanely powerful.
youtube
You can dual wield two one handed crossbows, and just SHRED everything you come across.
I was literally playing with two paladins and I WAS HITTING HARDER THAN THEM.
Ranger gives you dread ambusher, then you can hit TWICE as a melee class, which the Rogue doesn't get, and then you can get Action Surge, and do it all over again, PLUS as a thief subclass, you have two bonus actions, for your offhand attacks!
It's honestly broken as fuck, and it's perfect for the long range, disengage potential.
Now you have my suggested comp. Keep in mind that you can have just about anything you want, but remember, two frontliners, at least one magic caster with dps potential, and then the fourth should ideally be a long range specialist.
Now then...
I recommend you pick the Dark Urge.
Why?
For a million reasons.
It is MUCH easier to 1v1 Orin in the end rather than kill the whole Temple and deal with her bullshit Unstoppable nonsense.
You want the deathstalker mantle, which is insanely good for rogues, and everything in general
You WANT To kill Isobel so you can have the Slayer Form, which will get you out of tight spots, plus it makes Orin even easier to deal with.
You also want access to Bhaalist armor for accepting Bhaal as your master.
Also, you want to accept Bhaal so you can get Power Word Kill, a very useful one time use ability, which can uh, hint hint, be used on the Netherbrain to end the game very quickly
You also want to have the Bhaalist buff, which helps you crit more during the final battle.
But this now segues into...
Equipment
Now, if you're the Dark Urge...do not kill Alfira.
Knock her out every day in Act 1 until Quil Grootslang takes her place!
You want the robe Alfira will give you in Act 2 for saving the tieflings from Moonrise! It's called the Potent Robe and it's GREAT for sorcerers! But you can have both it AND the Deathstalker mantle so long as you're vigilant and knock her out every day!
Just be careful, because Arron will kill you if he catches you! So try to knock her out in one hit, if you can. Put the game in turn based mode, if you must! Or use sneak attack.
Other equipment:
Spellsparkler! Insanely broken for Sorcerers and magic missile users. You can use it till the end of the game.
Make sure to get the staff Lorroakan is hoarding inside Sorcerous Sundries! It gives you Kereshka's Favor, which is excellent for Storm Sorcerers.
Also make sure your final feat as a Sorcerer is Dual Wielding, because if you dual wield that staff AND Cazador's staff, you get the abilities of both staffs! You can also use something other than Cazador's staff, and use Arcane Battery twice! So you can cast something ridiculous like, say, Disintegrate, more times than should be allowed! Also, there are like, two amulets and one staff that will allow you to regain spell slots! Make sure to gather as many as you can. Sorry I can't name them off the top of my head... I know one is a pearl necklace that you can buy from Omeluum, one is Caitlin's staff, and the other one you can get from the Warden in Moonrise...make sure to grab them so you can restore spell slots. Oh, also, if you do the House of Hope...you can grab the staff that's in his secret treasure room! Which is also great.
Make sure to buy the Risky Ring from Araj! It gives you advantage on EVERY attack, it just also gives you disadvantage on all saving throws...but if you give it to a rogue, and they have the deathstalker mantle, then they don't have to worrry about being hit ever, lol, plus they have sneak attack ALWAYS. no allies next to enemies required!!! it's a broken item, so definitely grab it from Araj in Act 2!
If you have two heavy armor wearers, use the mold from the Grymforge Heavy Scale mail twice. Make sure to then replace one of them with Ketheric armor later on.
You also want the aformentioned Bhaalist equipment. The Bhaalist amulet is great, as is the Bhaalist armor you can buy from the dragon seller in Sarevok's chamber.
Speaking of Sarevok, kill his ass! You want his excellent sword and helmet.
If you're feeling brave, kill Ansur too, because his helmet is awesome, as is his sword, but be careful! That lightning bitch is an honor mode run killer! I've almost lost two runs to him.
Even though he's hard, I do recommend killing Raphael! The Constitution amulet, the gauntlets of hill giant strength, and the staff in his treasure room are really worth it.
And uh.
Yeah!
Good luck!
Let me know if you have any more specific questions, and trust me.
I know...way too much about this game.
But this is just my starting guide!!
I had a blast in Honor Mode, I bet you will too!
Oh.
And don't kill Gortash. Not because he's my boyfriend or anything, but because, he's not really worth fighting, especially not for the loot he gives you!
If you must kill him, do it at the Morphic Pool instead of Wyrm's Rock!!!

how do u think the savanaclaw boys would react to the reader cooking some traditional/comfort filipino foods for them while they're sick or smth?? stuff like sinigang or tinola or arrozcaldo yk??
• Tastes from the far East •
My utmost apologies for getting to this late it's graduation season and I'm a tad busy dealing with papers and school transferring TwT. This req definitely helped me unwind before the big day ;D. Even had to ask my brother for help because his favorite Food is sinigang.
Serving them something from home:
Tumblr media
There's a very faint feeling in my chest that he'd like our tomato sauce dishes. Afritada, Caldareta, Menudo, Mechado etc. He's someone who doesn't like vegetables but I feel like the sauce/broth used in the aforementioned dishes would somehow overpower any other veggie present that and- Savory meat 🤤.
In the case that you do serve one of the above while he's sick, I'm partially certain you can sneak the carrots into his system but that's just me most likely hidbdkf
Leona would most likely be against eating them in the first place, especially with how they look. It's not that he looks down on the dish/es it's probably because he's more used to another sort of mix from the afterglow savanah. Even then you'd have to shove the spoon into his mouth in order for him to eat said food (don't worry you didn't forget the rice)
Ever since then he had a very distint memory of the taste, remembering how foreign your recipe was yet it wasn't so otherworldly to the point of alienating. On the contrary it was an ironic nostalgia he can't pin point but suffice it to say he's mood isn't too bad as it was the first time.
"What? You honestly think that's enough to get me full? What do you take me for, Herbivore?
Be careful of feeding him other ulam tho TwT. Tinola, Sinigang and Bulalo are clear enough for him to turn away from the complimentary greens. Perhaps tomatoes aren't a bad part to his diet tho...
Tumblr media
Undoubtedly the most appreciative, at first glance he comes off as just grateful that he doesn't need to spend any money or effort for his meal (sick or not). I'm pretty sure Ruggie himself is a hidden specialist in concocting delicious food from the most simplest of ingredients. So it's easy to picture him being somewhat astonished by Tinola and how tasty it is despite the few ingredients you used.
You could've been a bit fancier to be honest, but you had to purposely leave out a few ingredients due to the short notice. Then again you'd be caught dead if you dare remove the malunggay leaves. Regardless— Ruggie doesn't seem to mind, to him it was a good meal and the way the broth complimented the subtle flavor of the chicken and greens *chef's kiss*
He's cheeky enough to joke about cooking that food again for him next time. In the case you do entertain his lighthearted request he doesn't turn down the serving. And now that you've had time to actually prepare for it the dish is finally complete in its contents.
He definitely spits out the peppercorn, tried biting it the first time thinking it'd taste a bit differently with your foreign dish but no it's just the same annoying piece of dried crop he's accidentally chewed as a kid in the market.
"Oi it tasted fine without it the first time!- maybe leave it out next time? Eh? Well yeah there's a next time-"
Worry not about the tedious preparation, the more times you do it the more willing he becomes in assisting with the gathering process. If you're both dedicated enough, you'll reach a point where Sam has your order of ingredients memorized and prepackaged.
Tumblr media
I'm gonna take my chances with Jack. You feed him Paksiw na Isda and he's opened a whole new alley of culinary pallete. Before even getting him to eat the dish he's turning his nose away from the smell of fish and..vinegar? Yes he's questioning it-
He's sick, but his sense of smell is painfully hyphened and the aroma of vinegar isn't exactly helping his nasal health- the look on your face was the only thing that got him to open his mouth when you spoon fed him a portion of the salmon within the dish.
His ears would twitch in different directions but eventually he opens his mouth for another bite without any other word whatsoever. You'll have to take this as your sign that he did indeed agree with the odd combination (as odd as it is to him.)
Then you serve him Sinigang the next day, he's slightly taken aback by how different two sour dishes can be despite both being, well, sour. Yet he somehow prefers the latter soley because he cam bare the scent a bit more.
"Look you really didn't have to... it's a nice change though and well- I think you're holding back."
He was partially right- you did held back after his first reaction to your paksiw dish but you started a routine of experimenting other ulams for yhe first year. By the end of the month he's likely made a verdict of what's his favorite but he'd keep it to himself. After all you looked quite happy cooking your native dishes.

❛ they die for love, you kill for it. ❜ / chris & josh
I'm too sick to look up the meme - Still Always Accepting Tho - @muutos
Tumblr media
How ironic to hear those words coming from Chris's mouth. How pointed it was to watch his best friend shy away from his bedside and keep his focus anywhere but on him. Did he realize what he said? Really? The depths those words have and the spell they cast over Josh? Or is he flippant when he says them? Just pretty words to call him a murderer? He laughs after taking a moment to rearrange his thoughts. He's sore, it hurts when the sound rumbles from his mouth and yet he doesn't stop it. It's a bitter, hateful sound.
"I killed because they died for it."
Except he hadn't killed anyone. No one was accepting that at face value. He had played the game far too well and when people started dying.. He had motive and there were all those mad notes and plans that seemed to scream his guilt. He didn't know if the others were talking about the monsters in the woods and mines. He didn't know if any of them knew one of them was.. But that didn't matter. His parents didn't believe him and he's positive the cops didn't either. Even though he had came back with a hitchhiker riding his body and a specialist had to be called in.
Joshua Washington possessed.
Another laugh. "It was an excellent day for an exorcism."

(Rambling on our System Dynamics)
It's kind of funny to say, but our system literally isn't doing any targetted system / DID work in therapy and havent since like, November 2022. Having hit functional multiplicity and having established an incredibly self reliant and internally strong dynamic with one another, we really have no need to specifically work ON our DID and rather just need to work WITHIN our DID. Our current (and technically old) therapist is trained in dissociation, but compared to our previous therapist who was a dedicated specialist, he is far more generalized and better for helping us in life and so that is what we've been doing for the past eight months.
Beyond context of the side fact that we live "as multiple people" and have a unique way of having to navigate our mental health and life as being many parts, we really don't think, talk or work specifically on DID and its really not something we really actively consider with how much of it just "is" part of our life.
We still do have PTSD and all, but a lot of the shit we've been through has been satiated or honestly healed over that we don't regularly have large scale symptoms unless we specifically sit on it. We are much more concerned with our day to day life, gender shit, adjusting to full-fledged full-time adulthood and figuring out what we want to do with our fully fledged and finally free wingspan that all of the DID stuff is feels a lot like talking about living as a brunette or some shit.
Honestly a lot of it stems to just kind of going back to square one with DID and going back to really just.... not fixating so much on the details of it and learning to be comfortable focusing on day to day life as your various selves and leave the internal shit to whatever goes on there, cause honestly - you lived and survived not knowing of it or not being overtly / constantly aware of it before figuring it out, and while it is important to approach it in the right way because often back then there were issues that could be addressed, you can go back to just living life and letting the DID exist in and around it - it just takes a lot of learning to self trust
Like I'm pretty sure its apparent from this blog, but all of us just kind of exist and do our own thing and while its undeniable that we have DID (I mean look at Riku and I) and that is obvious and overt in this blog, we aren't really frequently too hung up on the "Oh wow" and "Oh no"s of DID.
Like yeah we probably have a butt fuck ton of trauma holders and fragments we aren't aware of, yeah we have a whole side system probably that we don't know of, but they are both 1) dormant and 2) something our system can very easily handle and deal with regardless of how bad it is because the parts that keep an eye on those parts are chill and we have a way of doing things and experience of doing things that just work.
We also have basically thrown out most role labels save for Host, Gatekeeper, and Trauma Holder unless its for communications sake cause those are the only real big information defining terms really. Riku and I play roles as large caretakers and protectors as do almost every part because thats kinda just how we've fostered trust and care with one another.
It's not really a "role" anymore to be a caretaker or a protector cause its not a job or anything anyone is assigned to do or anything. We don't protect or care for eachother as an internalized job or function or anything, we do it cause we can and someone we care about needs it.
The labels really just don't make sense for us at this point anymore and honestly, in hindsight, I think they pushed a sense of learned helplessness for Riku and other "protected" parts and pushed burnout for the parts doing the protecting (also Riku ironically)
Riku doesn't need protecting anymore than anyone else on a day to day and when they do need protecting, they don't need it in any unique manner than anyone else in a hard time. I don't need someone coddling my emotions and telling me what I feel and comforting me on a day to day more than the average person, and when I do need some emotional support - it again isn't anymore than any other person who needs help in a hard time.
Likewise Lucille isn't someone who doesn't need someone to watch his back and protect him sometimes cause he isn't this special diety that can fix everything, he's a guy and thus why he has Ray covering his back. Ray is our FBI agent Omnipotent God Gatekeeper and he likes to look like he can fix everything but its a fucking meme in the system how the dude is always like one precise poke away from being a mess which is why Lucille has to cover his back.
Like everyone in this system is Just A Guy even if they aren't Just A Guy cause we are all fucking stupid and amazing in extreme and astounding ways. All of us are stupid on our own and need care and protecting from time to time in unique ways and the COOL thing is that we are all stupid in different ways so theres always someone to cover for the other.
We long long long since threw out primary protector, that hierarchy was stupid and led to conflicts with Aderis and Lucille. Then we just threw out caretaker and protector cause everyone is one.
Like honestly, I feel a lot of those roles add social status and class to a system which - if you know me - I fucking hate that shit and I think we should all just give what we can and take what we need as we need it. Assigning anything but the bare necessities that serve to describe unique responsibilities FOR the whole is just a lot of excess and extra shit.
Host - A leading part that fronts regularly and is responsible for guiding the system to a life that is good for the whole
Important due to the fact that his takes up a lot of energy and time and limits the amount of internal attention can be put to the system + lack of "RAM" to actually juggling the deep intricacies of DID; Designated Leading Role
Gatekeeper - A part responsible for Information TM
Important because they Do Things and Manage Things and are the Things tying the system together to keep shit stable
Trauma Holder - Not actually a role but a notation label to notate a part that needs particular consideration when being interacted with - similar to a "disability" label
Important because this label distinguishes parts that need special accommodation beyond the reflexive base line and would benefit from having a mentor to go to when trying to learn to reintegrate back into life and develop themselves beyond their trauma
And for the record - since someone might look at our definition for trauma holder and compare it to us saying that no part has unique need to be cared for or protected in our system - "trauma holder" does not inherently mean "need to be protected and cared for" - I'm a trauma holder and that's not a label I've outgrown despite also being a 'mentor' (anyone who hangs around a trauma holder in a dynamic where they might be a mentor - this is not a permanent role) role for other trauma holders. It means that other parts need to make accommodations for me to help enable me to do my best job and work in the system which those accommodations primarily are minding my triggers. Same thing applies for Aderis who is an "Elder" (I guess that's a "role" we use, but its more so a nickname for the parts that have a lot of experience as old-in-day protectors that have been around for a while).

Greenhouse au!
Basically, Hermitcraft is just a giant greenhouse that Xisuma owns, his father used to own it but gave it too him. And a lot of plant people take refuge there, some leave and some stay, but at least X has a bunch of friends!
Every plant hybrid has their own section of the greenhouse so they can grow whatever they like! And btw, the greenhouse is fucking huge, like, bigger than the industrial ones lol. Some of the hybrids like staying near friends, some like being alone, some don't mind either!
All the plant people specialize in different plants, they can work with almost any plants, but usually make a strong connection to one or more specific kinds.
Also, they basically look normal other than some have black eyes, and have plants growing out of them, usually the ones they specialize in!
Scar, a specialist in Bluebells, who like Cub, a Phalaenopsis specialist, is also part vex.
Mumbo, a specialist in black roses and daisies, no one knows how they're black, not even Mumbo.
Grian, not as much a plant as he is fungus, specializes with The Prince, Honey Mushroom, Chicken of The Woods, and the Fly Argaric. He can also work with molds and almost all decomposer plants.
Cleo specializes with Selaginella lepidophylla, and Italian Cypresses, she is also a zombie hybrid, which they personally think is ironic.
Joe is a poetic one, so of course he specializes with Laurel trees it's a joke only he seems to find funny, or maybe very few understand.
Doc is a creeper hybrid, due to an accident he also has cybernetic prosthetics, specifically, his right arm and the left side of his head! He specializes in Bryopsida moss, also known as True moss, because he is truly the best. [It was originally Java mos, but that's an underwater moss lol]
TFC specializes with Eryngos, which he finds pretty. :]
Ren is a dog hybrid, so it's only fair that he specializes in Anethum Graveolens and Nasturtium, he says they smell good.
[That's all I have for now! Hope you guys like, if you ask about someone who wasn't mentioned, I'll tell you what I think they would specialize in!]

PT2: MOON SUFFERS IN SILENCE:
《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《
Thank whatever god exists out there he's not allowed to leave the hospital, because if he was, he'd have no excuse not to go to the funeral. At least, not in his eyes.
The family was in pieces over it. They cried over his body for hours and had to be forced to leave by security. The father couldn't believe his ears. He thought it was fine. The night before he had just talked over the phone with his son and his doctors.  His heart seemed stable. He was in good condition. What happened? Why hadn't he been informed of any complications?
His mother was worse for wear as far as Moon's heard. Refuses to leave the house, only gets out of bed to go to the bathroom, eat, and sometimes go to Markis's room and just lay in his bed for hours on end.
His sisters were pretty much taking care of themselves and each other while their parents, moreso their dad, made funeral arrangements. The middle schooler had to walk across the street from her school to his so she could collect certain documents and other items. She cried when the school administration gave her her brother's notebooks he left in his locker.
It was a bright, sunny day when they actually buried him. How ironic. Such perfect weather to bury your child in.
Despite being his murderer, Moon couldn't help but wish he could've said goodbye to his best friend one last time. After, that night, he quickly replugged the machine and left the room to inform the doctors of Markis succumbing to his disease. The doctors and nurses rushed to the scene. They demanded to know what happened. He explained to them that Markis knew he was dying quickly, and ordered him to hold his hand and stay with him while it happened, so that's why he couldn't inform the doctors. And you know the most messed up part? They believed him, just like that. If he's ordered to do something, he has to do it. He can't control that. He's just a machine. He can only do as he's told. It's not his fault the kid died. And he lets them say these things right in front of him, perhaps either out of comfort of not having to take responsibility for his actions, or out of fear of being outed as a liar, because Moon isn't stupid.
If anyone ever found out the truth, he would have to be decommissioned.
A caretaker killing a child?! And it expects us to believe he made it do it?! Straight to the scrapyard for Moon! And he'll be replaced with something new, something that they will put through even more tests than him so they can deem it "less dangerous" for humans. He didn't want that to happen. So he won't say a thing about it.
No one must ever know.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey, you think that his death was a little, I don't know, unexpected?"
He catches his breath.
Two doctors, Dr. Marshal and Dr. Okiyati, walking down the hallway. Are partnered often. Probably are partners. He's seen them before, neurologists. Working away at brains and why they seem to fail you at the worst of times.
It was Dr. Okiyati who spoke first.
"Well, yea" replies Dr. Marshal, "most deaths that take place here are unexpected, aren't they? Poor souls don't even get to see their parents before they go."
"Well, I mean, yea, but, don't you think he went rather, erm, quickly?"
Now Dr. Marshal stops to look at his partner confusedly. "Dude, what are you talking about? The cardiologists said that he was expected to go anytime now. Is it really that shocking?"
Yes, thought Moon in his head, it shouldn't ever be this easy to discuss something like that.
He was in an office tending to some work in his headpsace by filing some of Markis's data in the archives. He wasn't moving, and his head was down, so anyone could assume he was just powered off to conserve energy for today. Not that it mattered much if he powered down or not, they said whatever they felt around him.
"Look," says Dr. Okiyati, " you might not think anything of it, but the vascular specialist told me that there was evidence of suspension of breath. You know what that means, right?"
Moon thinks he's gonna be sick.
"Okay, so the kid tried to kill himself, but it obviously didn't work thanks to life support."
"Exactly, so what went wrong this time?"
Moon panics. He knew someone would think it was suspicious, but he didn't think he'd be caught this quickly.
"...dude what the hell are you on? The kid's heart failed him, that's that. Nothin we can do about it now. So come on, we gotta take care of the patients we still have."
"Alright, alright."
And so they end the conversation there and move on. Completely ignorant to the emotional turmoil Moon is having right now.
He swears up and down he was relieved, at least, he thinks that he should be relieved. He didn't get caught. He wasn't going to be decommissioned. Yet.
...so why was he not happy?
Why does he feel this way? Like things just aren't right?
...because they aren't. Because after last night, nothing will ever be the same for him.
Because he realizes that he wants to get caught. He wants someone to take him away and decommission him for what he did. He knows he deserves it. So why won't he tell them the truth? Why won't he just get it over with?
...
...
...
Because then where would Sun be? Without him?
Where would all the other children, the ones he's supposed to make better, be without him?
Would they be better off? The hospital could always just order another robot caretaker to be built upon hearing of what really took place that horrible night. Sun probably wouldn't be able to look at him anymore.
...
But he didn't want Sun to hate him. He didn't want to leave him behind. He didn't want to leave the kids - his kids - behind.
So that's that. He's a selfish liar. That's just who he is now. Before that day, he could look his little friends in the eyes knowing he was a kind guardian to them, a gentle soul who would help them through long recoveries. Now he can barely meet them knowing how easy it would be to bring about their demise. But he can live with it. He can live with the guilt. As long as he can live this sweet dream for just a little while longer, he'll be okay. If someone discovers the truth, than that'll be it. He won't deny it. For now though he won't say a thing. Just to keep his happy life here normal.
He doesn't have to tell anybody anything until they finally suspect him.
No one. Has. To know.
《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《》《
TADA!! THE BOIS MOST SADDEST MOMENTS, FINALLY RELEASED OUT INTO THE WORLD! Now i actually gotta start making a storyline for this au lol
Wu Zetian: Steel/Fire specialist
Kingambit: Her first ace. It was originally a Bisharp but it evolved when she became empress. Of course I had to give her a steel type because it's the equivalent of her dominant Qi and this is the one I think fits her the best with the emperor theme and warrior look.
Iron Moth: Her second ace. First because I think one of her main type would be fire, and this Pokemon perfectly fills the futuristic/robotic vibe of the book, as well as being a butterfly.
Salazzle: Fire type. Female only species of dominant and powerful women with a harem? How could it not be on her team?
Ninetales: A pretty obvious choice I know but since she is literally compared to one in the book I think it would make sense for her to lean into this image and have one.
Empoleon: I didn't want to give starters but sadly this is the only steel/water type that would represent her water qi so I had to adapt. And there is still a reference to an emperor so it's not a bad match either.
Steel Silvally: Another steel-type and I mean, he completely matches the futuristic aspect of the universe so it was only logical that I gave one to the characters.
"Shared" Pokemons: basically, the ones that do not belong only to her
Molters: I don't like to give legendaries but in the context of Iron Widow the Vermillion Bird could be considered as a legendary Pokemon in an AU so I'm gonna say that she shares it with Shimin and later Yizhi.
Rayquaza: The equivalent of the Golden Dragon that she shares with Qin Zheng and of course I had to give them the most badass dragon of this universe.
Li Shimin: Fire specialist
Ceruldege: His first ace. It's a fire type and it looks like the equivalent of an heroic form so he has one (obviously).
Mega Charizard Y: His second ace. An embodiment of fire power and impressive design, I couldn't not make him a place in the team.
Houndoom: I like the idea that his team would be composed of "scary" Pokemon, that he deeply loves and even finds cute so I thought a litteral hell-dog would quite fit him.
Hisuian Arcanine: Still in the idea of "mean looking dog" type, I chose this one because it's also a reminder of his secondary qi, and to be honest I just this this Pokemon fits his vibe well.
Talonflame: The closest Pokemon I could find to a phenix that isn't Molters. Anyway, he is a fire bird type so it's a match for me.
Fire Silvally: I HAD TO give this one to one of the characters, it just fits the futuristic/robotic aspect so much and I don't think I need to explain why I chose a fire type.
"Shared" Pokemon:
Molters: He was the only trainer of Molters at first but then Zetian arrived and they became co-trainers. Later on Yizhi came too and now they are a trio of trainers (Molters is in heaven now that he has three humans to take care of him)
Gao Yizhi: Grass Specialist
Gardevoir: His first ace. A fairy type but honestly? I couldn't find a Pokemon that fits him more than this one.
Lurantis: His second ace. A grass type looking like it will heal you but also kill you because it doesn't take shit from other people? They are a match made in heaven.
Serperior: I know i said I didn't want to give them starters but since the other two have one it's only logical that our rich boy has one isn't it? Anyway, Serperior is the one among the grass types that I think fits his vibe the best (rich man has royalty looking Pokemon)
Leafon: Of course he had an Eevee when he was young and it became a Leafon when he grew up. Yes it did.
Flygon: I really struggled to find a ground type that would fit him in my mind and Flygon was the one who did the best job at that so he's in the team now.
Shiinotic: A mushroom Pokemon with spores? You are in the team now. Plus the fairy type totally fits Yizhi in my mind sooooo......
"Shared" Pokemon:
Molters: It was Zetian and Shimin at first but now he's in the trio so it's his Pokemon too now.
Depression smacked me across the face in the last hour upon realising all the things I won’t be able to do for a month because of my surgery.
I mean, I know I need it, I chose to have it. My mum and the specialist made it very clear that it was my choice. I’m in constant pain and can’t enjoy the things I love doing because of it, writing becomes a chore, gaming mind numbing, and don’t get me started on actual chores!
Vacuuming brings about a dull throb, and that’s to say nothing about mopping. Ironing and washing aren’t too bad, but it still hurts. Dishes are kinda a relief because the hot water soothes the constant ache, but it hurts like a bitch afterwards.
But I won’t be able to hold my little girl for weeks, she’ll be so confused as to why I won’t give her hugs when she asks for them. I won’t be able to help around the house and it’s the only thing that makes me feel useful since I don’t have a job and I’ve been trying to get one forever!
Fuck, I’m just…really lost. I’m gonna go through with it, but it’s not gonna be pretty, mentally wise. But maybe if I keep writing (with just my primary hand) I’ll feel better?
Let’s hope so, I don’t want to go back to the me from 2020 who saw nothing but a hopeless world and wanted nothing else but to leave it.
what happens when they get there?
Broceliande ran the southern border of the Amory Nature Preserve like a winding concrete line in the sand. Jack knew from experience that just a few yards into the rows of ancient, white aspen trees that lined most of the neighborhood, there was a tall, chain-link fence with barbed wire around the top. The only way to get in - if you weren't supposed to be there - was a remote spot along the fence and a pair of wire-cutters. He knew that from experience, too.
Lost in thought, he stared deep into those trees as Tristan hummed to himself and stood to pedal over the next hill.
"Where are we going anyway?" Jack asked, jostled into wakefulness once more by Tristan's struggle against gravity. "I mean, not that I don't appreciate what you did back there, but-"
"But you think I'm taking you out here to murder you and dump your body?" Tristan glanced over his shoulder and regretted it.
Jack was pointedly avoiding eye contact.
Wrong thing to say. Obviously.
Tristan's cheeks burned, and he shook his head, the word "stupid" bouncing around the apparently empty interior of his skull. "Um, well, we're actually going to go see a friend of mine?"
Jack nodded but said nothing.
Then Tristan hung his head forward and focused on getting them both up the hill.
After a moment, he felt the load on the bike lessen significantly and looked back to realize Jack had gotten off and was jogging alongside. "Is everyone your friend?" he asked, keeping pace easily.
Tristan wasn't one to ever struggle for words, but he felt like he was suffocating as he said, "Look, if this is about," he gasped, "what happened back there-"
More gasping.
"I just happened to be riding by and thought you might need some help. Okay?" He took another big gulp of air and shivered dramatically. "The Amory's give me the creeps."
As they reached the top of the hill, Jack slowed to a stop, and Tristan practically fell off his bike. "Oh, thank you!" Letting the bike fall to its side, he flopped down on the side of the road and rolled over on his back.
"You weren't kidding when you said that you were out of shape," Jack snorted and paused to roll up his sleeves.
Autumn was well on its way, but the summer heat had yet to break its iron grip on the Meadows. As he tugged up the sleeve of his ruined button-down, Jack studied the bite mark on his arm. He could remember the terror of the chase, twisting his ankle on a root, falling and raising his arm to stop the teeth rushing to close around his throat.
His doctors, along with a specialist they called in for the investigation, confirmed what everyone had assumed. It was a canine's bite, either a rabid stray or perhaps a wolf, but that hadn't changed what Jack saw.
Shielding his eyes from the white-hot midday sun, Tristan peered up at Jack, awash with sepia tones and the fading green of late summer. The blood on his arm looked fresh, and Tristan felt a pang in his chest. "That looks gnarly. And it's still bleeding?"
"Yeah, sometimes," Jack muttered.
Whether they believed him about another person being there at the scene of the attack or not, the very real matter was, his wound from the bite had hardly healed in the time since the attack. Jack was pretty sure that, at least, was not normal. Eventually, they would have to admit that it might not be the only thing strange about this case.
But Jack didn't think that even he was ready for that.
Tristan sat up, blue hair falling in a sweaty, chaotic cloud around his head. "Look, man, I know we don't know each other that well-"
"Oh, you mean how we were lab partners in chemistry once, and then you decided we were best friends?" Jack offered, one bushy black eyebrow raised, skeptical with maybe the barest scraps of amusement.
Grinning, Tristan shrugged. "What can I say? I bond quickly!" Then he got his feet underneath him, a marvel of engineering with legs as long as his, and stood. "But seriously, I think this other friend of mine might be able to help you with your-"
Tristan freed himself from his jacket and gestured at Jack's arm first, then, slowly, the rest of him.
"-problem!"
Jack glared at him, mouth drawn into a slant. "Somehow I doubt that." Then something behind Tristan caught his eye.
"Trust me, Mrs. E is going to know exactly what to do about this," Tristan told him as he tied the sleeves of his jacket around his waist. "She's amazing. My sister told me all about how she..."
Tristan's eyebrows shot up in surprise as Jack lunged forward and clamped a hand over the other boy's mouth. "Sshh!"
Frowning, Tristan searched Jack's suddenly frightened face. He made a vaguely quizzical noise as Jack searched the trees somewhere behind him and continued to not explain himself.
Finally, Jack whispered, "No sudden moves. Don't turn around. Don't argue. Just get back on your bike, slowly, and I'll push. Got it?"
Tristan just stared for a moment before Jack's expression changed from fear to annoyance. Then nodding frantically, Tristan took Jack's hand from his mouth. Jack took a step back and kept his eyes trained on whatever Tristan wasn't meant to see.
He stooped to pick up the bike and swung one long leg over the back. He kept his eyes on the road beneath his feet, but his ears were trained for even the smallest disturbance in the sunny forest around them. Whatever it was, it wasn't making a sound.
Jack waited until Tristan was sitting before he gave the other boy a shove from behind and pushed for a few breathless, weightless strides. With his bandaged hand, he caught the shoulder of Tristan's t-shirt and hauled himself back onto the bike behind him.
The added push along with gravity helped them pick up momentum quickly, and they raced down the hill at break-neck speed. Tristan leaned forward over the handlebars of the bike, and Jack followed suit. The wind rushed past his ears as he dared a glance to the side of the road.
Something was following them through the trees. Big and brown and moving just a fast as they were. Jack watched it weave through the aspen trees like threading a needle, each turn quick and precise. Certain, effortless. It wasn't struggling to keep up with them at all. It was simply keeping pace.
Toying with them.
"Gunna need you to really lean into this coming curve!" Tristan shouted over the sound of the air whistling around them and the wheels spinning on the pavement. "When I say so- Now!"
They leaned to the side and the bike whipped around the turn in the road. The force caused the back wheel to skid just an inch before they balanced themselves again and snapped upright. Jack scanned the trees once more and let out a strangled gasp. The thing in the trees had angled itself closer to the road.
It was coming for them.
"How much further?" Jack shouted into Tristan's left ear.
The other boy's head jerked to the side as he trained his eyes on a passing mailbox, and shouted back, "Should be just around the next bend! Get ready!"
They leaned into the next turn together. The world swirled around them, but this time, Jack's focus was on the creature getting nearer and nearer through the trees. One good leap and it would be on them. Teeth and claws and glowing eyes. He gasped as the bike skidded out from under them and both boys went rolling. First across pavement, then gravel, then grass.
When they finally came to a stop, Jack expected the beast to be on them at any moment. He heard the sound of feet approaching through grass and leaves, the heavy panting of breath, and he rolled onto his back to throw a handful of gravel up at the first thing he saw.
Hazel Espinosa flung her arms up to deflect most of the gravel from going into her eyes and stumbled back, spitting dust and shouting, “Hey, hey!”
Iris ran to Tristan and helped him to sit up. "Honey, what happened?"
Jack whipped around to look behind them, convinced the wolf he saw was just beyond the edge of the yard. Tristan's bike lay in the ditch in front of the house, the back wheel still spinning wildly. The road where they'd come from was empty. Staggering to his feet, he searched the trees, this way and that. Still nothing. Just rows and rows of aspen and pine, sun beams filtering down to green grass and brown needles.
"It was there!" Jack twisted his hair in his fingers, jaw hanging open in shock. He swung back around to look at the three people watching him like he was the wild animal about to pounce. "I swear!"
Tristan studied Jack for a moment and nodded. "I believe you." He cocked his head toward Iris. "Jack Halley, meet Mrs. Iris Espinosa, and her daughter, Hazel. They just moved here."
Crossing her arms over her chest, Hazel regarded Jack. "And you just crash-landed in our yard."
"Wait," Jack squinted against the light of the sun and the heat of Hazel's vitriol, "you're the two that were at the motel!"
Tristan's eyebrows shot up, though one was currently bleeding from a cut that had only just missed his eye. "Oh, you've met?"
Iris bobbled her head from side to side. "More or less." She brushed grass and gravel from Tristan's mop of blue hair and tugged him to his feet. "Let's get you boys inside. Pretty sure I remember unpacking the first-aid kit already."
Hazel scoffed, "Mom!" and Iris ignored her.
She turned her gaze in Jack's direction and sighed. "And we can discuss your monster once I get you both cleaned up. How does that sound?"
Without waiting for an answer, Iris helped Tristan hobble towards the house, and after a moment, Hazel and Jack begrudgingly followed.
While in the forest behind them, a woman slipped out from the shadow of one of the older pine trees. Smiling to herself, she pulled a coat of thick brown and red fur from her shoulders. Her heart still raced from the thrill of the chase, blood pounding in her veins. She watched the four figures retreat into the last house at the end of Broceliande, then turned and sprinted for the fence.
World building is one of the best parts. Heres what happened when I mixed Comics canon with OC'S Time travel world building
--
Red became a Carbonelle (and sort of adopted into it) family hired help (sort of) when she helped one of his ancestors through a world changing vision. Well, his world, and yeah she knows how to deal with those very well, she's a trained calculator assistant. She was trained by another family, because the heir also could calculate, so she's like family inheritance sort of.
Surprisingly she's pretty cool with that. It means money, food, medicine, all for the cost of doing a job she usually likes. Especially if the principal is a friend (which patrons go out of their way to make happen. Undying loyalty is up for grabs here, and a well trained specialist)
Tony gives her a lot of freedoms that she wouldn't have without him.
Maria Carbonell was into biology and genetics. She figured out how to make surrogates viable, and looked a lot into DNA, wanting to get the healthiest baby between her and Howard. Because they were older, there was a greater chance of something happening (which is probably why they had so much trouble with Arno in cannon) , so she changed the Odds.
She also asked her younger friend and lab partner carry the child for her. Amanda Armstrong agreed, and they debated baby names. They eventually decided on Anthony.
Two years after having Tony, Amanda Armstrong had a natural child , who through the power of other worlds changing the DNA makeup, was a girl, she named Maria Armstrong.
Unfortunately she lost her fight to her Hydra boyfriend Jude (she's a shield Agent, and thought he was too) and they got captured.
Tony stark was four years old at this point, and had made his first circuit board, and they wanted a genius child of their own. They have stolen some of Maria's research, and the unused eggs, and Amanda has another of her boss-friends child, Arno Stark.
So Arno and Maria grow up with a shield mom captured, and a Hydra dad. Arno is intelligent, but also kind of going crazy because he doesn't know how to deal with Calculations. Maria A is kind of learning on the job through trial and error. It's not enough to help Arno from going into the crazy, but she learns some coping strategies for him.
Amanda has the mixed bag of raising her friends child alongside her own, she's just pretty upset that her friend and Tony aren't in her life.
Now I need to do some math to figure out when Tony inherited the weapons company, cannon says his parents died at age 21,  or that he inherited at age 21. He would probably be in college at a much younger age and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with honors at the age of 17, and has three doctorates according to the comics. It also says he became iron man at age 23.
So there's some timeline issues to work out .
Still after the winter soldier killed the elder Starks (and stole a lot of research) they used Arnos sperm cells on eggs they had from the black widow, and in true mad scientist style, had Maria C be the surrogate. Much to their discomfort, it's like having your brother's child.
They picked a girl, feeling it would stabilize better, and reduce the chance of an unfortunate recessive gene showing up.
The child Eleanor Amanda Stark, did have Calculations , but Aunt Maria had learned how to assist from Arno, and as a result, she was a lot more stable.
We have a few things to say to them get the f*** away from him you're in trouble oh Tommy f sees you they also eat them up so have a nice day
Abomination and She Abomination
We have a lot of businesses that we're signing off on today and to ourselves and a lot of people are getting laid off and fired and a lot more than anticipated they just simply don't want to work. And they see it too they have to go after one of these actual class A ships and to attach the stone and make it interstellar. And it's going to ruin them but we need it we need to actually stop them from bringing things and we need a lot of troops and we need a lot of people to sign on right now this is the push and I put it out there this morning this is a big push and I tried it a graph on the Manning chart I sent it to our people they said this is the time when we need the most and they start to get people together they showed where we were. We also have companies to lay them off from and there are several of them that were laying them out from today huge companies and yeah this town is full of nutcases they don't seem to care.
*Kaiser Permanente and that meeting is today was not yesterday it was a preamble meeting and the final meeting is today made a lot of stuff to iron out it's a huge firm 50% of the world's hospitals and medical Care outpatient and emergency outpatient facilities emergency rooms that are standalone specialists and so on are from this company and we are taking it over a Lock stock and barrel. There's tons and tons of people needed and we're hiring like madness it's global and we have about 50% of it in and we need the rest and we do have a meeting at 2:30 p.m. Eastern standard Time but it is earlier 11:30 a.m. in Los Angeles California that's where it's best
*healthcare systems also is very huge and it didn't did not go off yesterday but it's going off today and it's going off per our requirements to lay off all of John remillard's people and bja and those types completely from every position there is and they're already evacuating and leaving but they're sticking to the hospitals and they will be forced out but they refuse to leave they're going to the morgue because of what they're doing. And most of them acts are going to leave too and they said it we have no reason to stay here if you're going to handle it and we do our own anyways so a lot of people who are miscellaneous will keep society going and appearances and we need that pretty badly too and it will work and it is going to head and that's how it's going to look because it is going ahead. This is an international firm and we have half of it in and the rest of it is going to come in today and it is tremendous it's a giant company it's huge in the effort is enormous it was sick of these idiots walking by and flipping us off saying we're doing the job for them they show up there and they're rude and their assholes and they sell sorts of stuff and a criminals and the ones who speak up and say things like this a****** just sat down we take away and we arrest him and he goes to prison and doesn't come out it's happened tons of times to them today. So gigantic company our son has had many brushes with them and several hospitals once we take those hospitals over we're going to take the money from the people that did it all of it and pay him and we're going to make them know that it's a hospital doing it and now we have a game he says and it is the game it's a good one because it will clear the rest of the idiots out of there the max will end up fighting them.
*Aetna health it is a giant company yes it's 10% of the world and the sun is in it it's taking over most of it and we're using it and the other day we fixed something of our sons I'm going to fix more of it because they keep screwing around with it and yeah they were screwing around with the records so adding that credited it because they found out that the employees of their own were doing it and the max approved that yeah and they wanted it and it went forwards and the idiots started attacking Max and whoever looked like Max and they got hit very badly and they're getting hit today and the woman who signed them on is protected by the max she did a good job and they see it and he said it's a risk but we have to do it and he helped to do it and they were amazed that he's going against these people all the time he says they don't seem to have any idea about society even if you want to leave and stuff and you don't know that it's explosive and they started to say it's actually true and some of them have some really weird comments to make, there are three hospitals that incarcerated our son against his will that this firm was running St Elizabeth was one and the small one in Los Angeles and the the one you know downtown Los Angeles actually that's a small and then teeny one in the low desert and those were hell and lady who signed on our son wants to put it back in there and she's going to hell but she has to fight everybody off and the max who did it who were there not being commended no it's ridiculous behavior and doesn't do anything for them but he says is if I get an opportunity to hit you and self-defense you ain't coming back to her and that's the name of the game who else most of these women are very sick and see now and she is sick
*Blue Cross Blue shield once again had a son in several hospitals and a bunch of them pretty much Marlboro hospital I Worcester UMass hospital, and the westboro state was the state of Massachusetts who were suing them for a ton of money and the federal government is coming down on them as they should and the place is practically gone and Worcester State is part of that organization and we're going to take the building and we're going to fire everybody they're doing that soon within the next few days then we're going to put them all into a mental hospital and stop feeding them and stuff I don't think they'll just sit there and ride it out he'll get their plans and information they'll have meetings and tell them we're taking it they'll have fights and all sorts of nice stuff that they plan to do to our son. Once we own the facilities we're going to pay our son and take the money from these people who are assholes make sure they know it. And we're going to make them pay them pay him and we're going to show that it's them and they're going to have to defend themselves you're doing that with a bunch of them and there's a big push to try and get them to Utah and tonight is the bridge no it's tomorrow night and we have the paving in and it still start flying the stuff in by the time we fly it all in and hook it all up so we just decided to lift it in and you have an accident you just fix the payment and I was going to do it anyways I said I was going to do it but he says sometimes say sit on it or I wasn't sitting on it we're going ahead with it but he didn't know so good so pushing everything in there I said be open Friday not stuff going in and so he gets it now can I get a little messed up these people enforce it. You know when the brain stuff today when they when they really thinking clearly they properly identify boats before our son has a chance to look at it so they can say it like little kids is damned annoying these people are massively annoying and they pay through the nose for it. He says I'm building a coast guard vessels or not it depends on whether you want to survive or not I can stop the monsters out there by eating them and becoming huge and pulling your s*** out.
This company is responsible for most of the hospitalizations they are doing them in Worcester and Boston and several of them okay Marlboro and Worcester and St Elizabeth in Boston and there were a couple more and they were responsible and we are suing them for it and we will own this firm we are scheduled to sign off on it tomorrow and we will take over and start to take the money and take them down in order to get them the money and all the idiots who are flipping the bird will have to pay the price even if they have an excuse. Apparently they're unaware of what an incinerator is. This is a big company okay it's another 10%. Oh really it's about 20% and they lost tons of shares and people use the hospital treatment as the excuse and they are going and they're doing themselves they beat each other up and Kaiser Permanente was sitting alone they started beating them up recently and that's about 80%, now there's two more did a pretty big and one put him in the hospital recently in Sarasota and we're going after them and it's the hospital group that's mentioned in Florida all the time
*Bayside regional health and actually the names when you go into order mean something in their plan and what we say is well you know your plan is exposed and you're getting ruined they don't get it now we're going after this company seriously and the other companies are going after them for starting to go after the others and they say it's your lawyers and stuff like that but they know it's a ride so they're choosing to ride and then they get they're getting written back now finally Bayside regional is coming apart they don't have much to it because they're all very very stupid and they're weak and they Mumble and they walk around and they're senile and it's not going to take very long. This is one of the two here in Florida and it's getting beaten up pretty good because he moved next to a different the other one which is a different name and his mom went to that hospital and they've been threatening our son with it the whole time
Thor Freya
It is the end of the line and it ends with mac and he's getting the s*** kicked out of him for doing it and he kind of knows the name is going to look it up because they're blocking it
Welcome to the future
Tumblr media
For my first post here, I would like to remember one of my first experiences on the internet. Back to 2000-2002  (Yes, I'm old, ok? You can find grey hairs on my beard), when the internet was dialed, I remember surfing on loads of bloggers, most of the time, about my idols, in an international reference, we can say, Westlife. Hmmm, no judgments here, ok? Everybody has their own guilty pleasures. Leave me alone with mine. LOL And also, at that time, all bloggers used to have personalized backgrounds. The heads and footers used to be covered by their favorite artist, or tv series, films, or Japanese animes. Anyway, all the layout was thematic. And I wanted the very same thing. Why not? That's how I learned photoshop that time. I wanted to have a banner, a signature personalized with my idol's images. So, then I did it. Was it good? Definitely not, but it was my first contact with layers, with transparency, fonts, cutting imagens and backgrounds. The introduction of how to do everything by yourself in life, also known as Youtube, still didn't exist to help me out. I had to figure it out on my own. But then, even though my terrible design was ready, I didn't know how to apply it on my page. How? How could I make a Jpeg image show up on an online page? No idea. So, loads of other bloggers, made by designers, used to put available some free templates and sell others more complex. I used to download them and read a lot of information on how to change the html in order to use my pictures or add a bit of my style. Did I succeed? No… unfortunately, not. So, I've never been the 15 years old blogger that I intended to be. Probably the Internet didn't miss that much though.
Now, here I’m, almost 20 years later, and learning html, the code that, basically, started with the internet and it's still used in most websites on the Internet. It's kind of ironic and interesting at the same time. But one thing I say, I'm already able to edit  templates and set up with my Westlife design. Can I get an Amen over here?! Hehe =D
All this introduction is to say that I was reading a post from Adactio blog, saying that today, 2022 is the distant future. That's all because back to 2008, even some years after my failed experience with blogspot, an editor of the HTML5 at the WHATWG at the time, Ian Hickson, in an interview with Hixie, mentioned the date 2022 as the milestone for having two completely interoperable implementations.
And now, we can see that nothing has changed much in this aspect. And I’m having the opportunity to understand the same technology that I tried 20 years ago in my life. It's kind of funny to think how some things change drastically and others no so much, probably, because useful and functional things should come to stay and just get improved, as it seems to be html. According to the Adactio post many specialists made some predictions based on this 13-14 years ahead, which would be now, 2022. Some of them didn't even believe that the web would still exist. Others were quite accurate when they visualized most people accessing everything on a smartphone, but the most relevant observation might be from a random reader of the blog in 2009, Jonny Axelsoon, who said: “The world in 2022 will be pretty much like the world in 2009.” Well, in terms of web, and html he was right. In other aspects, like people's minds, he was a bit wrong, hopefully, I guess. But, 2022 ideas, morals, concepts, will have to be for another post. It's way too wide to approach here and I might not have psychological enough for that. As I just said on the title of this blog “If you look at it too closely, no one is actually normal”.
