An ongoing list of ACOWAR grievances I'm keeping track of while I read (because there's too many to make a post about all of them) pt. 2
I'm on chapter 15 now and feeling the urge to complain again so here we go
1) the writing is way too overdramaticized. Like every other paragraph is some remixed version of feyre going "I wondered whether it would be eggs or bacon for breakfast. But when I looked at Rhys I realized that he was giving me my own choice. My mate, my high lord. In our home. With our family. Every thing was always my choice" and its CONSTANT, LIKE OH MY GOD GIRL SHUT UP
2) every thing about Lucien's plotlineand the elain mating thing. I HATE this subplot with a PASSION
3) feyre immediately fucking rhys when she got back instead of going to see her sisters
4) feyre and rhysand acting like they've ben separated for forty centuries instead of a month
5) the contradictions about how the high lord thing works. Like it was established that its a government position given to you through basically fate and being chosen by the cauldron or whatever which is why siblings kill each other for a chance for the throne and yet they just went to a priestess and swore feyre in as high lady?? It makes her title not feel real like it's purely ceremonial. It doesn't even make sense that she would be able to be HL of the night court as she has no more ties to that court than she does any other court. Is it because she's mated to Rhys? I don't understand the HL lord at all, it just keeps changing
6) the fact that Feyre, Rhys, and Cassian tell Lucien about their tragic backstories and everything that's happened to feyre at the NC and he just immediately does a Feyre™️. Like he's suddenly "Oh yeah you had a horrible childhood and took feyre into your found family without letting her explore relationships outside of the IC, that totally makes up for all the evil shit THAT IVE SEEN YOU DO WITH MY OWN 2 EYES. wow i cant believe youre not evil even though you killed 50 winter court children and sexually assaulted your mate and mind raped her constantly to get her to like you"
7) the way they're treating Nesta. It has been a MONTH since she was stolen from her home, brought amongst a race that she is terrified of and THAT ENSLAVED HER PEOPLE, and was forcefully turned into ONE OF THEM and the IC is acting like she's being unreasonable for not wanting to talk to them or to mate with Cassian. WHY THE HELL WOULD SHE EVEN BE THINKING ABOUT CASSIAN RIGHT NOW?? WHY THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL BAD FOR HIM? Instead of him worrying about how his mate is doing regardless of his own comfort he's like WOE IS ME, SHE DOESNT WANT TO FUCK ME?????? GET OVER IT ASSHOLE?? WHY IS FEYRE EVEN LETTING CASSIAN COME NEAR HER AND ANTAGONIZE HER?? DOESNT SHE LOVE TO FLAUNT HER HL STATUS AROUND?? THIS IS THE TIME TO USE IT, PROTECT YOUR GODDAMN SISTER FROM HIM? ITS SO OBVIOUS THAT SHE DOESNT GIVE NEARLY AS MUCH OF A SHIT ABOUT NESTA AS SHE DOES ELAIN!!
8) the fact that sjm didn't keep cassian's wings shredded. Him learning to live with that would have been a badass character development but now sjm doesn't want me to have good things
9) the mating bond in general. I think it could be a potentially good plot device but no one ever employs it well and sjm is definitely the most egregious with it
10) the fact that the ic never gave consequences for their fucking actions. Feyre dies in acotar? Turn her into a fey and give her ALL of their powers. Stealing a precious artifact that they didn't even end up needing and getting a bounty on their head in the summer court and then getting that court invaded? That's fine because feyre is SOOO brave and says things that are common fucking sense which makes her SOOOO smart so we obviously need her as an ally so we'll just rescind the blood rubies. Getting the spring court sacked? That's fine we didn't like them anyway. Rhys and feyre's bond gets snapped? Well they didn't know about our super secret mating bond that is actually the only thing that gives our characters chemistry so we still like each other. Rhys causes irreparable damage to every court for 50 years and kills 50 kids? Well that's fine he was being held hostage and hey! We don't know he actually killed those kids 😡 Feyre, a 20 year old girl who's been fae for like 6 months and training for even less goes up against thousands of years old beings? She beats them effortlesslessly! Rhys gets sexually assaulted for 50 years! Well he planned all of it so it has no negative consequences on him. Cassian gets his wings shredded? Well he worked really hard and they're fixed now 🥰. Rhys FUCKING DIES?? Well that's no problem, tamlin can just resurrect him, nvm the fact that there's no reason why he WOULD. like no harrowing situation is ever interesting cause we all know sjm isn't actually going to do anything to the ic
11) "my mate" STOP SAYING IT PLS IM BEGGING
12) "males and females" STOP SAYING IT PLS IM BEGGING pt. 2

Hello Double Life spoilers, Finale edition because I’m scrolling through the tag and have many many thoughts still
I fully had anticipated that the final pairs were going to be Grian and Scar, and Scott and Pearl.
The last green lives this game, the duo that agreed the first game ended in a double victory no matter how that cactus ringed fight ended. The two who worked in sync so effortlessly, many thought there was major communication issues because they just did things without constant consultation.
Then one of the last to turn Red. The pair that stuck to each other throughout nearly the entirety of Last Life until it was too dangerous too. Who worked so well together in the past, people were excited to learn they were bound to each other, only to realize that they didn’t feel the same way
Pearl who did so much to antagonize Scott. The constant powdered snow, the cacti, all to make him anxious and panicked. But Pearl who never wanted to die. Who never wanted to really take a life from Scott. Pearl who tried to give the chest plate back when she realized Joel and Etho were about to actually kill her over it, but spoke up too late. Pearl who created a hound army, for a variety of reasons but there’s no doubt protection was among them. That many wolves, the only mobs that will actively fight in your defense. Keeping her safe as she went after the others, keeping Scott safe as the wolves took the brunt of the hits and dealt the extra damage needed.
Scar, who is all charisma, luck, and skill hidden so smoothly under the first two traits that it’ll leave others genuinely speechless. Scar who has constantly been underestimated due to his accident prone habits, who has been known to lose lives and drop to red quickly. Scar who has always managed to talk his way in circles so smoothly and easily, without hesitation he’s able to waltz himself (and very often his allies) out of so many certain death situations. Scar with the uncanny ability to hold that last life with an iron grip, escaping near impossible situations repeatedly much to the surprise of others
Their partners who swore up and down that they would be their downfall. That carelessness would be what takes them out in the end.
Grian, who sought the alliance of a secret soulmate because he felt stuck with his soulbond. Who seemed to forget Scar’s capabilities whenever he took damage. Grian who we heard sigh and complain multiple times over his fated partner. Who banned Scar from the Ancient City after Grian had experienced the Warden himself.
But all because he panic’s easily compared to his soulmate’s seeming nonchalant-ness. Grian who tries to seem logical, but acts on emotions more often than not. Grian’s able to talk, and give a good run around, but we’ve seen how easy it is for him to fall back and let Scar handle that while Grian snoops around instead.
Scott, who pushed Pearl away the moment they saw each other. Who chose his own soulmate with Cleo to defy the rules of the Game once again. Scott who made a secondary Ranch to “test” the love and bonds of the other pairs, only for it to be set up to sow the seeds of doubt and distrust among the others. Who got so used to Pearl’s antics he didn’t even think twice about setting his spawn in Bdubs and Impulse’s house for when she inevitably got him killed. Who didn’t really team up with his given soulmate until it was just the four of them on Yellow.
Grian, who let his stubbornness get the better of him again. Who tried to send the warden up on his own when it didn’t work the first time. Who seemed dead set on getting a warden to the surface. Grian who didn’t just follow his soulmate out of the ancient city. Grian who lost their last life, at the end of the day, all alone in those crudely dug out tunnels. Screaming apologies to a Scar who couldn’t hear him, who died alone and confused in the woods looking for Grian so they could go out together in a fighting blaze of glory. But Scar ended up just falling off of his horse, staring at the full moon instead.
I can’t help but wonder if my prediction could have been right had Grian just let the Warden be. If he had given up on that trap idea and gone to Rendezvous with Scar instead. Would it have been the Desert vs the Stars? Or was it always destined to be the dysfunctional divorcée’s, with the probability that they would have turned on Scar and Grian before each other.
This series was so much fun to watch, and I hope they had fun filming it. I am sad my prediction wasn’t entirely correct, but I’m not surprised that it came down to Scott and Pearl, despite the games being completely unscripted, they always manage to be poetic that way
(Common disclaimer of this is just how I’ve viewed things, and at the end of the day I am well aware it is just a bunch of good friends playing block game and being dramatic about it. I swear this is all done with a very light heart lol)

So, the idea of WHY Koga went from having the little ponytail to no longer having one hit me like a truck. As far as I know none of the events have Koga explain why he no longer had his ponytail from first year into his second year. But actually it's a lot easier to theorize than I think. Sure, he may have cut it to just cut it. But also could've done to cut more tied to his old idolizing of Rei
We know in his second year Koga became very frustrated with Rei acting like an old man. We know Koga used to highly idolize Rei while he was that rocker bad boy. So much so, Koga wanted to be like him. Though, it left Koga with a very messy persona that was all over the place. In his second year, Koga tried to become exactly like the Rei before in an attempt to remind Rei who he used to be but also was very irrational and would let his anger get to him, as seen by his first year we know naturally Koga is very excitable, just right now it comes out in the form of anger. He can be easily teased this way, which is how Rei tries to calm him down. Koga clearly had a short fuse that always needed directed somewhere to calm him down.
While it's hard to just stop suddenly idolizing someone, Koga's annoyance over the switch potentially played its part in the cutting of his hair. What if he had only grown it out after seeing Rei the first time at the Live House? Thus, when he no longer wanted to JUST idolize Rei, wanted to properly play & sing with him, Koga began to make a shift in his personality to try to be like a cool, bad boy rocker. Imagine his shock the first time he'd see Rei again when their third year began. Like that first time must've been such a blow that cracked Koga.
He might have irrationally gone and had the long mullet he'd been working on growing out cut off. He internalized a lot of his true emotions, no longer wished to outwardly idolize Rei, and entirely flipped himself over. Koga wanted to act out, cause a scene, be wild and do whatever he wanted. But from time to time his true nature still seeps through. The entire year he's like this. His long hair gone, and his persona completely twisted. He was no longer acting like the wide eye puppy chasing Rei down to be with him. Instead, they were right there together, but Koga barking in place.
It takes a while for Koga to come to terms that Rei is Rei no matter what, even if it took until the Repayment Festival, that Rei and Keito brought back DEADMANZ for it enough to annoy Koga once again. Internally, Koga is very much attached to their group. Rei, Kaoru, and Adonis with him. He'll more than likely never think about growing his hair back out since there's a mutually growth between Koga and his understanding of who Rei is on a more personal level than just Rei's life. Growth between Koga and Rei all together. It is very noticeable how LESS the two antagonize each other, and the mutual bond in place in the recent era.
Just like with Kaoru & Adonis as well, there is a strong mutual care over Koga because they all know how excitable and emotional he naturally is. How easy it is for Koga to hyperfixate & forget to examine the whole picture. It's a level of care that Koga finally opening up during the Repayment Festival brought.

what do the malfoys think of reina and her family? and whats their stance on vytarian magic?
Went ahead and divided it into different sections since I wanted to include some info on Reina's family for context. Short versions included under each section cuz I can never stop myself from rambling lol
The Caelestis Clan
Tumblr media
In short: An ancient and powerful clan known in both magical and non-magical worlds. Many elite families tried to form connections over the years. Also, pissing them off is a very bad idea.
--
Reina is part of an ancient and powerful clan known as the Caelestis, with their origins tracing back as far as the ancient Roman Empire. As practitioners of Vytarian Magic, they were equally powerful and skilled Mages. The family's influence was known in both magical and non-magical worlds thanks to all of their achievements over the years, so many elite families from both worlds often hoped to form connections with them.
Although the Caelestis were mostly Purebloods, they didn't believe in the supremacy nonsense to the point of looking down on those that did. From the early 70s to late 90s, the only living members of the Caelestis were Reina and her father Rolando. Unknown to the public, most of the clan had been wiped out back in the early 50s as they had fallen into corruption. Rolando was spared since he was a newborn. The family expands in 1994 when Talbott marries Reina, and in 1998 with the birth of their quadruplets Corvo, Ava, Raven and Altair.
Reina had been advised by her father to keep her clan's origins private, which is why they went by Cortez in the first place. It was to help avoid unwanted attention. When Merula discovered this secret during their 3rd year, she made it public in an attempt to ruin Reina's reputation. The intent was to reveal how someone of her status was willing to associate with Muggleborns and "Blood Traitors", but it instead achieved the opposite effect. For a brief time, many elite families tried to earn Reina and her dad's favor, with the Malfoys being no exception.
Malfoys
In short: Little Draco ends up bonding with Reina when they meet, which Lucius sees as beneficial to forming connections with her family.
Tumblr media
Like several other Pureblood supremacist high society families, the Malfoys saw it best to keep their more critical opinions to themselves for the sake of forming connections. Also because it was unwise to piss off a family as powerful as the Caelestis. Certain people were noted to have suddenly disappeared in the past when they said the wrong thing.
They believed that the clan's open acceptance of those "beneath" them was due to being products of their environment. Rolando was adopted and raised by a Muggle and "Blood Traitor", and in an environment like Crystal Beach where it was normal for them.
I haven't played the 'Meet the Malfoys' SQ so I'll be going off just the initial meeting at the start of it. Lucius wouldn't antagonize Reina like he would in-game, and instead be as respectable as possible. While she'd see right past this, she'd go along with it for the sake of keeping things civil. No use causing unnecessary problems.
She would still bond with little Draco after he becomes fascinated with her magic, as she understood he was a product of his environment and a brat at worst because of it. Draco genuinely looked up to her, which his parents saw as the perfect opportunity to win the family's favor.
Views on Vytarian Magic
In short: They view it as an amazing power that's being wasted on people they see as beneath them, not counting the Caelestis family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not counting Draco, the Malfoys are one of many that view this magic as an amazing source of power that's wasted on a community like Crystal Beach, which is also the only known place in the world where it's taught. They feel it'd be far more beneficial at the hands of someone like Voldemort, who they feel is more worthy of such a power.
Despite the Contract System and rules of the magic put in place, it hasn't stopped others from trying to find ways around that to get that power for themselves, be it directly or indirectly. After befriending Reina, Draco genuinely wanted to learn it. On one hand, this was a great opportunity to be in good standing with the Caelestis family. On the other hand, it meant a potential clash of their respective beliefs.
Vytarian Mages pride themselves on rejecting elitist and hateful views such as Pureblood Supremacy, while the Malfoys embrace this. They feel that if they allowed Draco to learn that magic, they'd run the risk of him rejecting their beliefs or even distancing himself from them. No high society connection was worth that risk in their eyes.
Although Reina and her dad strongly dislike Lucius and Narcissa for good reason, they keep that to themselves for the sake of civility. They don't hold anything against Draco for the obvious reason that he's just a little kid, and as a show of good faith, gift him his own Familiar and Infinitus (spellbook) with his parents' permission.
They also allow him to keep in contact with Reina due to seeing her as a positive influence in terms of status, completely unaware of the positive impact she'd have on him and the person he'd become.

Wolves are (NOT) Scary Chapter 5
Pairing: Werewolf!BTS X Female human reader
Genre: Fluff, smut, angst
Warnings: People are being big meanies in this chapter :( and there’s a very short description of ‘medical gore’
Word count: 2,144
Summary: All Y/N wants to do is find her creativity and motivation but she finds 7 werewolves instead.
Author note: Hi guys! Welcome back to the shit show. This is the quickest I’ve ever followed up after a chapter. I put in work today and yesterday at the local coffee shop. This chapter is brought to you by sugar cookie lattes and Red Bulls with strawberry syrup and cream.
I also just want to say thank you so much for all the love this fic has been getting. You don’t know how much it means to me. I used to write years ago for a different fandom and I stopped because my insecurities about being a bad writer got too loud.

~3 years ago, wolf pov~
“Why did he get to be the dog? That’s not fair!” Jungkook yells pointing at Taehyung still in wolf form laying on his back giving the maknae smug looks. He’d been telling all of them in their minds through the mate bond about how good Y/N’s tummy scratches were.
“She hasn’t met Tae before. Plus knowing you, you’d probably end up humping her leg and scaring her off.”
“That’s not true!” Jungkook shouts in outrage at Yoongi.
Namjoon sighs pinching the bridge of his nose, already getting a headache, “Hyung, stop antagonizing him.”
Yoongi just leans back in his chair chuckling. They pulled all the tables in the dining area together to brain storm what to do. All of their wolves were getting antsy over having one of their mates walking around untied. Although not rare it is unusual to have a human mate in a pack. Let alone a mate show up after years of a pack already being formed so it’s not something they were prepared for.
“I say we just tell her.” Hoseok says, “Rip off the band aid.”
“And have her run off? No way! Absolutely not!” Jin exclaims loudly.
“Well I don’t see you coming up with anything.” Hoseok growls at the oldest wolf, annoyed.
Namjoon was getting increasingly stressed because out of all of them his wolf was freaking out the most constantly telling him he needed to find her. He was getting ready to snap at all of them to be quiet and let him think when the door chime went off. He could have sworn he locked the door and flipped the open sign.
“Well hello puppies. Long time no see.” A sickly sweet voice called out causing a whole chorus of growls to be set off. The loudest being from Taehyung still in wolf form. The woman just smiles while the black cat sitting by her legs rubs it’s face with it’s paw unbothered. “Calm down guys I come here with the nicest of intentions.”
“What do you want, Witch.”  Namjoon spits out venomously.
She puts a hand to her chest in mock offense.,“Not on first name basis today? You wound me Joonie.”
Witches and werewolves are on shaky grounds with each other. There is a lot of prejudice towards werewolves  from the magical community due to them being perceived as monstrous brutes that rely solely on pure instinct. Witches were seen as stuck up and obnoxious because of their entitlement.
“You didn’t tell them I met that poor girl you were lying to today?”
“ You let Y/N talk to Yuna?!” Jimin shouted at Taehyung causing him to turn human to defend himself.
“What was I supposed to do? I’m the one who was forced to be a dog!”
“Oh my,” The witch giggled looking at her cat. “If we’re gonna be naked you might as well come out Ryujin.”  A puff of black smoke filled the room and a very naked young woman with two cat ears and a tail appeared where the small feline feline once stood. A red collar with a shiny pink crystal pendant was adorned on her neck.
“Wow Cujo, I didn’t know you were packing that much.” Ryujin purred looking Taehyung up and down. His face turning red he moved to stand behind Jimin’s chair to have some sort of modesty. He of course was naked because he rolled out of bed and transformed before getting dressed for the day. Some of guys were looking away from her, Jungkook especially who was staring at his hands in his lap as if they were the most interesting thing in the world.
“You should get used to it. You’re gonna have a woman among you now.” She said crossing her arms in front of her breasts.
“How do you know about that?” Namjoon questioned earning him an eye roll from the shape shifter.
“You seriously think we can’t see your soul bonds? Guess you can’t expect wolves to know anything. Even about themselves.”
“Now now Ryujinnie, no need to be mean.” Yuna says petting the fluffy black ears on top of her familiar’s head. “We’re not here to cause trouble. I promise. We’re here to help you with your situation.”
Yoongi scoffed and said, “How can we trust anything you say?”
“You can’t!” Yuna laughed cheerfully clasping her hands together, “But you have something that I want so I’m willing to set our differences aside. Think of it as ‘I scratch your back and you scratch mine.’”
Everyone looked at Namjoon to see what he would say. He didn’t trust Yuna as far as he could throw her, but he was curious to know what she had in mind. “Fine, I’ll hear you out. But you need to say what you want first before I consider it.”
“Oh goodie!” Yuna exclaims causing some scowls to be thrown her way. “All I want is for you to make me 200 cupcakes for my sweet Ryujinnie’s birthday party.”
“That’s it?” Jimin asks in disbelief.
“For free and I need them by Friday.”
Jungkook’s jaw drops, “That’s two days away! We’d have to bake and decorate non stop until then!”
“That’ll be expensive, we’d have to close down and use tons of ingredients!” Hoseok said looking at Jin.
“There’s seven of you, you can do it.”
“And what exactly would we get in return?” Namjoon interrupts before anyone else can start shouting.
Yuna smiled, “I happen to know two potion recipes that would help you, one that strengthens the urge to complete bonds and one that makes someone more likely to accept new information.”
“That sounds kinda rapey.” Taehyung frowns.
“No, it’s not like that at all. It doesn’t take choice away it just helps to keep the freak out to a minimum. Love potions are what you’re thinking about. I refuse to do them because they take consent away.” Yuna explains quickly. “You have no idea how many witches come to me thinking I’ll help them with their unrequited love problems. I’ve been hexxed multiple times because people can’t take no for an answer. Poor Ryujin was turned into a dog last year!”
Ryujin shivers in response, “It was the worst week of my life. I dunno how you flea bags live like that.
Namjoon sits quietly for a few minutes weighing out the pros and cons. “How long will it take you to make them?”
“I currently am low or out of everything I need. A lot of stuff isn’t shippable like green skink feet and water deer fang shavings, because they’re very expensive and you can’t count on the post office to not lose your package. So I’ll have to travel to Seoul to the main magical warehouse to get them. After that it’ll take a month for them to ferment and be ready.”
“A month? I thought things like that work as soon as you make them.” Taehyung asks.
“This isn’t Harry Potter,” Ryujin snaps. “Potions need to mature otherwise they don’t work as well.”
“Think of them like a fine wine, they get better with age.” Yuna adds.
Sighing Namjoon got up and offers his hand to Yuna, “Deal.”
Shaking the werewolf’s hand excitedly Yuna pulls a piece of paper from the bag she was carrying. “Here’s the flavors I want, I’ll be here to pick them up at 6:30 pm on friday.”
“And you better have them all ready or I’m neutering that one for ruining my birthday.” Ryujin points at a still very much exposed Taehyung who cups himself at the threat to his manhood.
~Present Day~
“YUNA!” Taehyung bursts through the glass door with enough strength to almost shatter it. “YUNA WHERE ARE YOU?!”
“Yah! Why are you yelling?” The witch calls from the back room of the herb shop.
“It’s Jungkook, he’s gone feral! Namjoon is handling him now but when we left he was having trouble. Yoongi got hurt trying to control him. ” You quickly explain.
“God damnit, I told him not to drink too much at a time!” Yuna mutters before guickly striding through the shop grabbing different herbs and shoving them in a glass jar.
“What did you give him?!” Tae shouts while following her around.
“He wanted a natural kind of pre workout so I sold him some ‘Hercules root’ mixed with a tiny amount of wolf’s bane.”
“Wolf’s bane? I thought that was poisonous to werewolves?” You ask.
“Ryujin watch the shop!” Yuna calls out before following you to the truck and getting in. “Not exactly, it just gives more power to a werewolf’s inner wolf. The more you drink at a time the more control you lose. Many weight lifting werewolves use it to help train. I explicitly told him to only drink a shot glass of it once a week!”
“Can you fix him?”
“Yes, now hurry!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The drive to the campground is normally an hour from town, Tae made it in 20 minutes. The whole ride Yuna was in the backseat muttering words you couldn’t understand over the herbs. A flash of red came from her hands that turned them into a thick black liquid.
Pulling up you could see that thankfully they got Jungkook back under control, this time four of the guys had him pinned. He was still thrashing and roaring like a wild animal, snapping his jaws trying to bite Namjoon. Yuna jumped out of the truck and ran telling everyone to get off him. As soon as Jungkook got loose he lunged at Yuna who didn’t even flinch. When he got a few feet away from her she raised her hand to him yelling “Down!”
Chains raised up out of the ground and caught him forcing him to the ground. He was snarling and trying to get up but failed miserably, it seemed that the more he struggled the tighter the chains wrapped around him. The witch then snapped her fingers and the liquid in the jar came out of the jar and forced itself into Jungkook’s mouth and down his throat. Immediately the transformation light flashed over him.
Yuna made the chains disappear and a very confused Jungkook sat up and looked around at the aftermath. All of his pack members except for Yoongi were in human form and clearly had bruises and cuts. He could then see Yoongi in the background laying on his side shivering.
He was in a daze until Yuna slapped him across the face and made him look at her. “You idiot! I told you not to drink more than a little bit at a time!”
“I just wanted to see if it would work better if there was more.” Jungkook muttered starting to tear up while looking at the ground.
“What did he drink?” Namjoon asked.
“A special concoction for exercising that contains wolf’s bane.”
“YOU GAVE HIM WOLF’S BANE?!” Jimin roared storming towards Yuna before Jin held him back.
Yuna sighed and explains “It’s perfectly safe in small doses. I gave him specific instructions. It’s not my fault he didn’t listen.”
“You almost killed us you fucking meathead!” Jimin spits at Jungkook who was hiding his face in shame.
You looked around and no one was moving to comfort him. You start towards him when Namjoon calls your name in his ‘Alpha’s voice’ telling you to leave him. Giving him a defiant look you ignore his order and kneel down to hug your mate who buries his head in your shoulder, sobbing.
Yuna walks away from you two and kneels over Hoseok and Yoongi, whispering incantations while running her hands over his wounds. The crack of his broken bone moving back into place was loud and made everyone flinch. Soon he was back to normal, even his ripped ear was fixed.
“He’s gonna be sore for a few days, make sure he takes it easy.” Yuna tells Hoseok who nods at her before looking back at his passed out mate. She turns back and looks at the rest of the pack who were giving the youngest wolf death glares. “Please don’t be too hard on him. It was a mistake.”
She looks at Taehyung, “Lets get back to town. I’ll be taking Y/N and Jungkook with me. I need to monitor him for the next 24 hours.”
The alpha wolf just nods as he watches you and Taehyung help Jungkook up and into the backseat of the truck.
When you jump in you go to buckle his seat belt but he moves and lays his head in your lap sobbing and saying “I’m sorry” over and over again. You make quiet shushing sounds and run your hand through his hair trying to calm him down. You catch Taehyung’s gaze in the rearview mirror before he starts the engine. The hour long trip felt like it lasted a lifetime.
ASK AND YE SHALL RECIVE!!!!
HONESTLY, SAME ANON!! I HAVE A BIG FAT CRUSH in Cater’s Sisters and Ace’s Brother (and Sebek’s, Azul’s & Deuces mamas) 😭😭😭
Sorry, but I'll do a hard pass writing for Kalim's mansion-full of siblings 🙇‍♀️ (plus I don't think Crowley would let 30+ kids-teens-toddles-babies come into NRC lol, maybe just the following 3 after Kalim) BUT INSTEAD!!! I hope you like the bonus character~
LOL THE FIGTH TO FIND OUT WHO'S BROTHER IS THE BEST, A CHAOTIC BATTLEFIELD FILLED WITH BABY PICTURES AND ANECDOTES OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CUTE/STUPID/HEARTWARMING THINGS ALL OF THEM DID
-- -- -- --
MC attentively watched as skilled hands mix card in different flashy ways, while Ace sat beside them with a bored and irritated look on his face.
“This is your card!” The older redhead took a random card and showed it to MC. Sparkles shone in their eyes as they smiled a big bright smile, amazed at the card trick.
Ace interrupted the moment. “Oh, yeah, duh! The easiest trick there is! You just had to cast a simple spell that allows only your eyes to see which card [Name] picked highlighted in red!”
Big Brother Trappola looked at his sibling with an unamused face, MC mirroring the look at having their momentary joy crumbled like that. “Sure, a simple trick, but it was I who taught it to you. Don’t forget little Ace! You’re always following my steps~”
The heart suit boy sighed exasperatedly, shaking his head and looking some other way.
“Ah, he definitely is following a~ll your advices, Big Bro! Ace is always mentioning how you taught him many useful tricks for life!” MC became a little tattletale to antagonize their friend.
The Hearstlabyul student tensed, blushing as he looked at the other two. His sibling smirked, “Really now~? Oh, I didn’t know you loved me so much, baby bro! Say, [Name], let me tall you all my favorite stories of Ace when he was little! I even brought our old photo album for you to view! You can keep it if you like~” The aforementioned photo record appeared, “Look at this one! Ace used to wear his tighty whities like a superhero mask!”
At that, the 1st year tugged his friend away from his mischievous older brother, dragging them far away from his influences.
~°~  ~°~
“Cay-nii! Look look! We found your cute little friend before we could find you, and they were so kind to bring us here!” The younger of the two Diamond sisters waved at her brother. However, her arm remained linked with MC’s.
Cater looked scared, despair quickly painting his face. All his attempts to hide, ruined But now that his sisters had MC in their arms... He couldn’t run the risk of them embarrassing him in front of his crush.
“A-Ahaha..! Yeah, look at that..!” The orange haired boy awkwardly laughed, approaching the menace that were his sisters (with a cute, clueless MC between them).
MC spoke up with that bright smile on their face, "Your sisters are so lovely, Cater! I wouldn't mind having siblings as nice as these."
"Oh if only you knew, little Prefect." Cater though to himself.
The sisters looked at each other, then at their younger brother. "Is that so, [Name]-chan~?" The older one inquired, words drawled out in a playful yet dark tone. Oh no, Cater tensed at what they were planning.
Acting quickly, the girls dragged MC over to one of Heartslabyul's many couches. "You're always welcomed into the family, [Nickname]-chan!" "To show you you're a Diamond now, let us watch some of Cater's old baby pics! He was the most adorable little brother back then!"
The Heartslabyul student hurried up to his siblings, trying his best to ruin their "bonding" activity.
~°~ ~°~
The evening was nice, warm with a comfortable breeze... The surprising thing was that MC shared many laughs with Sebek and his siblings through the day.
They were nice, very nice! The girl was intense like their friend, while the boy was tamer, on the shy side.
They shared many stories about their family life: the fishing trips to catch salmon, what their parents were up to in the clinic and the new patients they got to work with (quite a colorful array, one must say), life in Valley of Thorns, tales of their magical awakening and how Sebek threw up when his magic woke up, funny stories of childhood games, and thought MC many songs!
With how much they butt heads with Sebek, MC wholeheartedly welcomed this wonderful day filled with happiness, shared with their friend and his siblings!
~°~ ~°~
A Magift practice match supervised by Leona
MC sat on the sidelines, a bouncing wolf pup sitting on their lap. The small child marveled at the highspeed tricks and plays of both teams. "Big Bro Jack!! Go go go, Big Bro Jack!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, cheering her brother on.
At their side, an embarrassed sigh could be heard. Jack's little brother, who held striking resemblance with him (specially with that attitude), tried to hide away from onlookers' eyes after his sister's cheer.
But then...
Jack snatched the disk from the enemy team, sending it flying through the air with a mighty powerful flick from his magical pen and--!
"SCOOOOORE!!!!" Both young wolves screamed in happiness, tails wagging a couple times as their adrenaline kicked.
Leona laughed at the reaction. "Not so indifferent now, huh, squirt?" His hand ruffled the wolf boy's hair. The boy blushed at getting caught cheering like that.
A sudden snicker startled the siblings as they looked at the hyena beastman. "You resemble your brother a lot. I'm sure you could become as good of a player as Jack some day."
The little girl gasped in amazement, siblings looking at each other with excited sparkles in their eyes at the compliment the older of the two just received.
"Ah~, they're just as adorable as Jack!" MC gushed internally.
~°~ ~°~
"Trey-nii!" "Big Bro!" "Trey-Trey!" Many voices came their way, sounding excited about finally getting to see their beloved brother once more.
Trey chuckled nervously, "Here we go..." Suddenly, MC saw three little kids glomp their friend. Two hugged his legs while the other climbed up to cling to his torso.
"How have you been, big bro?" "Have you made friends?! Many friends?!" "Do you have sweets? I smell cake!" "Your house here looks funky!" "Can we go inside the big house, Trey-Trey?!" "Can I pick a pretty rose, Trey-nii? I really want a pretty rose!"
They fired multiple questions at their 3rd year friend. So young, so curious, a perfect embodiment of childhood...
MC giggled, "You never told me your siblings were so inquisitive. It's so cute!"
Their attention immediately turned to MC. In a hurry, they let go of Trey and approached the magicless human.
"You're a friend of Trey-nii, right?! Right?!" "You're pre~tty, no wonder Trey-Trey likes you!" "Hey, hey! Do you also have a big house like big bro?!" "Do you have any siblings? I wanna befriend my brother's friends' siblings!" "A pretty person like you deserves a pretty rose... Trey-nii! Can we pick roses to make a crown? Plea~se?!"
"Now now, let's not overwhelm [Name] in our first meeting, yes?" Trey's call silenced them in a second. "I do believe you must first introduce yourselves before asking so many questions to a stranger, don't you think?"
The trio looked to the ground and fidget with their clothes. "Yes, Big Brother Trey..."
The glasses wearing student shot an apologetic look to MC. "Why don't we go inside and get your introductions done, as well as your questions answered, over a slice of tart and a cup of tea? Sounds good? Maybe you can meet some other friends of mine, too."
The kids perked up, happy smiles brightening their faces as they nodded and took each of Trey's hands. The remaining child looked at MC, who smiled and stretched their hand for them to take before making their way into Heartslabyul dorm.
~°~ ~°~
"My Ruggie really did that?!" The old woman was surprised, wrinkled face showing her emotions.
MC affirmed with their head, "Yes, he's always helping me forage for herbs and tasty plants to use for meals! Really useful for cutting off expenses. He even taught me few recipes with said plants, recipes taught by you, Miss!"
Ruggie's grandmother smiled proudly. "He's such a nice soul, isn't he? Always bringing cans of food when he comes visit us to ensure the little ones back home have something to eat." She held MC's hand in both of hers, using the one on top to give the prefect's a couple taps.
"You treasure those recipes with your life, young one! And please," Her eyes were so gentle as she looked up at them, "Keep an eye out for my Ruggie, yes? He tends to overwork himself. Please, fulfill my role while I'm away from him, make sure he eats and sleeps well, that he stays hydrated and relaxes his mind. That is all I could ever ask from you."
MC's heart contracted with adoration at how kind this old lady was, a beautiful old soul still full of vigor.
They nodded, squeezing those calloused yet warm hands of hers.
Meanwhile, the eavesdropping hyena sniffled at the sweet moment between his grandmother and friend. He was deeply touched.
Two peopled he held dear to his heart were getting along swimmingly! More over, they just showed him they care equally as much about him as he does for them.
A Hero Protects His Own - Part 1
Ao3
AU is by @ryssbelle I just write for it!!!! Go check them and their awesome AU out!!!!
..........................................................................................................................
Loud.
It’s loud and the camp is overwhelmingly tense as Legend screams harsh words in a language Twilight doesn’t understand. The others sit in silence, either burying their heads in their hands or trying their hardest to ignore it while Sky stares cold and impassive at the vet.
He shrinks back into his hood.
He’s fought the worst of the worst; monsters, evils, shadows and nightmares from realms beyond what the others will ever know, but somehow hearing his brothers screaming at each other like this is what it takes to make him shiver and shrink back.
Or maybe it’s the steel in Sky’s eyes.
He’s tried to separate them, tried to stop Legend antagonizing the Chosen Hero, and for a while he even thought it worked! Sky and Legend had bonded some after what the three of them refer to as “the bunny incident” Legend with a fierce blush and Sky and himself with grins and teasing. The vet would tease them, stand at their side and back them up, and they would do the same for him. That’s just the power of secrets, sharing them makes you closer to other people.
But then they’d been dropped in Legend’s world. They’d come to the veteran’s Hyrule and spent a day at his house and gone out to the forest with Ravio to investigate something strange that the merchant had seen. When they'd come to the cozy cottage, Sky had been teasing Legend and receiving playful jabs in return, but the next morning when everyone woke up there was stone cold silence between the two, Ravio overcome with nervous energy that, to their collective shock, had earned him some rather sharp words from the Skyloftian when the merchant had gotten them lost in the woods.
From there it got worse.
Legend and Sky are almost always at each other's throats now, icy blue and raging indigo burning into each other as Time has struggled to keep them separate, neither willing to explain their spat and Ravio to overcome to even attempt it.
The bunny merchant clings to Warriors even now, their scarves wrapped over the both of them and tying them together as Warriors paints the merchant’s nails, speaking softly and recounting adventures the two had apparently shared in an attempt to distract him from the shouting that fills the camp and the heated stares being shot between two heroes.
Sky’s hand grips the hilt of the Master Sword where it lies in his lap and Legend’s fist at his sides while he stands over the older hero, face twisted up in an ugly expression as he spews words Twilight knows he doesn’t want to understand.
“Make it stop.” Four whimpers, head buried in his side as the smithy’s shoulders tense further with each word. “It hurts.”
“Guys-” He tries, he really does, to be firm, but when there's so much anger already in the air, he knows that yelling will only do so much good, and when Sky’s sharp eyes meet his, usually so gentle and dreamy but now flashing with lightning and shadowed in thunderclouds, it’s all he can do to keep his voice low enough to not worsen things for Four.
“You’re hurting Four.” Time scolds.
Legend’s mouth snaps shut, Sky’s hands twitching as the two both look over the miserable bundle against his side.
“Fine.” Legend snaps, crossing his arms and looking away.
“Apologies.” Sky nods.
It’s easy to believe Sky will be a king one day when he acts like that. There’s no doubt that their usually sleepy friend can rule and command when he sits poker straight, actions clipped as his words and tone deep enough to rival times when he speaks. Gone are the gentle words and reassuring smiles, instead replaced with regal nods and flashing silver eyes. The war cape that usually warms shivering heroes on cold nights is a cape, and the halo cast over the Skyloftian’s honey-hair is a crown in the firelight.
Twilight has to shift in his place.
Thank Ordonia the two both have a soft spot for the smithy, otherwise they’d be here all night! And, while he loves the wolf that nestles inside of his heart, he also hates how the wolf’s senses affect his own. Legend’s shrieks might be annoying to the others, but to himself and Four, they’re agonizing.
Then again, he has to muffle a strained chuckle as Legend stomps past on his way to his bedroll, which is as far as possible from Sky’s without Time raising his brows, rabbits do scream rather loudly, don’t they.
“Are they done?” Four’s eyes actually have tears in them when he looks up, face flushed and miserable as he peeks up out from under the tail end of the wolf pelt.
“Yeah.” He has to keep his voice low as he answers, Four’s headaches are well known to be absolutely awful, and he can’t help but gently pet the smithy’s hair in an attempt to comfort him.
Baby.
Twilight has to stop himself from rolling his eyes. Four’s nearly an adult.
Baby. The wolf in his soul rumbles, and Twilight has to mentally restrain himself from pulling the little smithy into his arms and absolutely suffocating him with his fluffy pelt and arms as he holds him as tight as possible. He thinks Four once explained why they want to squeeze babies and small things so much, but he can’t be bothered to dig through all of the smithy’s rants about Hylian behavior in order to remember it.
It was something related to eating though, and the thought makes him wrinkle his nose.
“Good.” Four sighs, flopping fully against him and tugging the pelt over his eyes. “They do that again and I’m gonna slap them both. Jerks.”
A laugh rumbles through his chest as the wolf growls in approval.
Fierce baby. The Wolf laughs.
He’s close to our age. Twilight reminds himself. He jist looks small and young.
Never mind that the smithy has his childish moments, eyes glimmering red and warm as he laughs along with Wind as the two watch some prank or another play out. It’s always hard to tell if Four is just laughing at their misfortune or if he’s the reason for it and is reveling in his genius, because when questioned the smithy always looks so childishly innocent or entirely unimpressed. It’s a difficult thing to pin the blame on the smithy, and they’ve all quite given up. Except Sky.
Sky, who can read Four like a book and is currently shooting worried glances in the smithy’s direction, all fire and rage gone from crystal eyes when the Skyloftian catches sight of the smithy curled up beside him, only his legs and stockinged feet visible beneath the pelt. “Is he okay?”
Twilight nods. “Exhausted, fightin’ a bad headache, but he says it ain’t quite a migraine.”
The other hero nods with a wince. “You got him then?”
Oh definitely. This is his little brother! Of course, he can take care of him! “Yeah.”
“Okay.”
He’s feeling guilty.
They are close, he prob’bly just wants to help.
“You good, Sky?”
Crystal blue meets his slowly, a pained smile on his brother’s face as Sky settles down on his other side, reaching over quickly to gently pat Four’s knee before answering. “Yeah. Legend just-” Sky answers, running a hand through his hair with a huff of his puffed-out cheeks. “Vet’s a Hylia Blessed piece of work somedays!”
Laughter spills from him this time, and he can’t stop it even when Four pokes his side irritably. “That has got to be the nicest way I’ve e’er heard someone call another person an ass! Did you just say ‘Hylia blessed’?”
Sky rolls his eyes. “I love Legend same as any of you guys, he’s just...” Another heavy puff of breath, one that he didn’t know Sky could even manage with his asthma, billows out, ruffling the Skyloftian’s bangs as he motions to where Legend is sat with his back against Warriors, Twilight would almost dare to say that the vet is pouting as War reaches over to gently ruffle the vet’s hair fondly while Ravio chirps something nervous and encouraging at him.
“He can a bit difficult.” He finishes, but Sky shakes his head fiercely.
“That’s not it! I deal with difficult people all the time! My best friend was the biggest ass I knew before he stopped trying to one up me and started to actually help. I can handle a bit of sass and snark, I mean, look at us!” Sky exclaims, motioning to the camp and everyone in it.
“Keep it down!” Four hisses. “Headache!”
“Sorry.” He choruses with Sky as the smithy glares up at the both of them before retreating back underneath the protective shade of his wolf pelt.
“It’s not the grouchiness, or the snark.” Sky explains softly, blue eyes pained as they glance at Legend. “We’re just. We have very different opinions about some things.” He’s about to say something when Sky cuts him off, eyes glistening softly in the fire as he stares across at the pouting vet. “I get that he doesn’t care for the goddesses. I’m not happy with it, but I can respect his opinions; they’re valid as much as mine are, and he has his reasons to feel the way he does. But some things-” The Skyloftian shakes his head fiercely, eyes going stony again. “Some things aren’t open for discussion like faith and beliefs. Hard, cold facts can’t be denied, no matter how much Legend would like to.”
There’s a bite in Sky’s voice again, and it makes him flinch back. Beneath his pelt, Four’s fingers clench his tunic, the smithy stiff as a board again. He sneaks an arm around the younger hero, squeezing gently in reassurance as he follows Sky’s gaze to the trio opposite them, where Legend is glaring at a laughing Warriors while Ravio giggles softly along, the three melting back into their seamlessly antagonistically friendly behavior around each other.
“Legend’s smart. But he’s also blind.” Sky bites out bitterly. “And it’s just gonna get him hurt.”
He’s about to ask what Sky means, but at that very moment Wild jumps up from sitting beside Time, ears pricked and eyes wide as a hoarse-shout rings from his cub’s throat. “Monster attack!”
Monsters.
The growl rumbles in his chest as he pulls himself to his feet, Four following with a groan and Sky already sprinting across the camp with the Master Sword drawn and in hand.
The monsters are on them before most of them even have a chance to draw their blades.
Mindless beasts swirl about, blocking his vision of the others as he dances through them, fending off any headed towards the suffering smithy while simultaneously trying to carve a path for himself and Four to where the others are.
“Eyes out for the black one!” Warriors voice rises over the din of blades crashing and monsters squealing, all of the playfulness of the moment before replaced with the practiced calm and clipped tones of a soldier.
“Aye Captain!” Wind shouts back, followed by Wild and Time, the only one’s accustomed to a soldier’s commands, as they thrust themselves into the battle.
The monsters swarm thicker and thicker, but in every spare second, he keeps his eyes open, searching the crowd for the black lizalfoes that’s been the source of so much of their trouble lately. Nothing can be seen save monster after monster of the normal sort, their blood streaking red across the dirt, thin and weak as bodies fall with more ease than any of their previous battles.
“These ‘blins are red blooded!” He calls out. “Keep your guards up! They strong one’s are prob’bly holdin’ back!”
The Ordon Sword sings through the air, but despite his own warning, the monsters are already starting the thin. More stream in from the forest, but they runabout wild like any old ‘blins and lizards, none of the intelligence or strength of their corrupted cousins making an appearance so often recently. The same can be said of the black lizalfoes; no one can spot it, there’s no flash of black in the crowd save for his own pelt as he spins and stabs, dancing easily along to Warriors’ side.
“Any sign?” The captain pants out, parrying an enemy blade and thrusting forwards to skewer the moblin before him.
“None.” He heaves back, raising his shield against his own opponent and pushing back against the spear that embedded it inside. “Have you seen Four? I lost him in the mob?”
The words are hardly out of his mouth before a scream, all too harsh and broken sounded across the field. “Sky!”
Midnight meets royal blue as soldier and rancher lock eyes for all of a moment before swinging out with all their might at their enemies, razing them low and clearing their vision long enough to stare over the field.
Four is clutching at his sword arm, eyes wide and staring as they looked to where Sky has been cast onto the ground a few paces away, thrown by the force of a blow that no doubt had been headed for the smithy himself. No ordinary monster could land a blow on Sky unless he was rushing to someone else’s rescue, and the guilt already filtering into the smithy’s eyes was all that is needed to confirm the thought.
The Master Sword lies on the forest floor, to far from Sky for the knight to grasp it as he pulls himself to his knees, enemies already baring down on him from all directions.
“Sky!” Twin voices shout.
Flying-Heart!!!! The Wolf screams inside of him, pushing his feet forwards to charge to Sky’s side.
Red flashes before him, swirling fabric, the color of aged blood and wine, a hood like a poe’s drawn up over a being’s head, a single blackened hand reaching out from beneath, red swirling over clawed fingers as Sky’s breath comes heaving from his lungs, side bleeding from the blow that had downed him.
A voice, neither high nor low but pitched in such a way that none could hear quite what was being said, murmurs something as the power on the blackened hand pulses.
Monsters rage around the hero and poe-like being, but none step closer to Sky, although their eyes trail to him eagerly every so often when Heroes, desperate to save their brother, aren’t hacking through their numbers.
A moblin rises before Twilight, blocking his vision for precious seconds before a roar built in his chest and his sword cleft the being in two. The second was enough though. Sky’s scream sounds over the field, harsh and grating and agonizing! The wolf throbs inside of him, tearing at the walls of his mind as he attempted to press through the creatures keeping him from his brother.
“Get back you-” Legend’s words are cut off sharply by Time’s scream of rage as the biggoron sword swings and fells three monsters at once. The Master Sword gleams in Legend’s hands as he launches himself at the being, teeth set and eyes flashing as he swings down, making the red-cape dart back as the pink-haired hero came to a halt between hero and monster, Sky’s weakening breath ringing over the field.
The vet’s eyes flash to meet his for only a moment. “Kick ass! We need to end this!”
A firm nod, the wolf is already raging inside him and he gave it full control as his blade and shield fend off and fell enemy after enemy, their screams and blood running over him like the air itself, so little he cares for them. His only job now is to beat back the monsters, give Legend space to work, keep Sky safe.
Beat the monsters.
Give Legend space to wreak havoc.
Protect Sky.
Beat the monsters.
Give Legend space to wreak havoc.
Protect Sky.
Beat the monsters.
Give Legend space to wreak havoc.
Protect Sky.
Like a dirge of war, the wolf’s thoughts swirl with his own, red clouding his vision as the Ordon Sword severs limbs and head and cleft bodies in two. Feet dance the war stomps of bloodlust as eyes flash with the golden of the wolf.
“Portal!” Wild screams over the din of the monsters falling. “Hylia’s!” His pup sounds strained, rage and terror mixing in a cocktail of fury as arrows plunge into the enemy and weapons fly loose across the Champion’s personal battle space, an area where even the monsters drew back in fear while the rest of the heroes give the youngster ample space to cause chaos.
Sure enough, the portal’s golden power is sweeping across the field, the faint brush of feathers over their cheeks and shoulders and the whisper of warmth and honey as the goddess’s strength flows over the field.
“Legend, watch out!” Hyrule’s cry cuts through, and Twilight only has enough time to see the blackened hand swing forwards and catch hold of Legend’s tunic before the golden glow of the shift swept it all away.
50 Season 3 Predictions!
I’m bored and the Stargirl fandom seems like it’s in a bit of a lull in the off-season, so I’m cultivating fifty plot point predictions for season three! I’m ranking these roughly in order from things that will almost definitely happen to things that I don’t really think are going to happen but might be fun! I’m going to update these predictions the day before Season 3 premieres, and use it as a sort of Bingo to see just how much of this season that I can predict properly. If you want to, let me know what you think about my list, and make your own if you want!
1. The season premiere opening flashback relates to Todd, or at the very least, some nefarious shenanigans at the Helix Institute
2. Crusher once again takes it upon himself to be Pat’s personal trainer
3. Rick manages to either fix the Hourglass or create Miraclo, but with more features than the original Hourglass, making him the new and improved Hourman
4. This is only after an outing or two where he tag teams with Beth because by himself, without his strength, he has to rely on strategy, and charging into battle without thinking led to some (off-screen?) horrific consequence
5. Cindy and Yolanda continuously try to one-up each other in the first fight/mission the JSA goes on this season
6. There are multiple lunchroom scenes that exist solely for the purpose of setting up drama (a vague prediction but I am expecting some kind of spectacle to go down in the cafeteria at some point, potentially the first episode, since it is tradition)
7. Beth helps Rick look into colleges (and Rick decides to be a Chemistry major, Beth Comp Sci/Pre-Med double major)
8. Jennie is brought back into the fold because she and Courtney just so happen to be investigating the Helix Institute at the same time (since Mister Bones seemed like he had some interest in Blue Valley)
9. Rick and Beth have a scene that gives more than just some Hournite crumbs (most likely, Rick asking Beth to this year’s homecoming dance?)
10. On that note, a Homecoming Episode (registered trademark)
11. Courtney and Cameron are hanging out together, but instead of Courtney having to bail due to JSA business, Cameron leaves for some reason (ISA-adjacent? Just his grandparents? Something I’m not thinking about?)
12. Either that or Yolanda and Rick notice the two of them hanging out and very rudely insert themselves, antagonize him, and make him storm out
13. OR he sees Cindy being buddy-buddy with Courtney and second-guesses his relationship with her (is this really three predictions or just one? Does it matter? Fifty predictions at this point kinda seems like it’s going to be impossible to reach)
14. The Gambler comes back to take over the American Dream, or at least reclaim his position as CFO (I’m like 80% sure I saw him in the premiere table read photo)
15. The Shade helps the JSA practice a theoretical fight that they might have against Obsidian and absolutely wipes the floor with them
16. Starman briefly takes over from Pat as the major role model in Courtney’s life, but does something horrible that leads to Courtney asking him to leave Blue Valley
17. Obsidian serves as a minor antagonist throughout the first 75% of the season and decides to join the side of the JSA during a time where they direly need a change of tide (and an emotional confrontation with his sister)
18. Jakeem and Mike decide to form their own rival teen superhero team that gets called on a lot for petty jobs at first (like the cliche getting cats out of trees, but with STRIPE or the Thunderbolt)
19. Zeek is the unofficial sponsor of whatever this team decides to call themselves, and becomes the Thunderbolt’s best friend (sorry, Jakeem)
20. Solomon Grundy makes a late-season appearance, but does not remember Rick at all, which makes Rick emo
21. Beth’s parents design new costumes (that will not be seen until either the season finale or Season 4)
22. Cindy and Yolanda bond over the trauma they have experienced from their families, but Yolanda is ultimately not able to forgive Cindy
23. Charles McNider is barely in this season physically, but radios in via Beth’s and his goggles regularly
24. Crusher and Paula try to convince Pat and Barbara to tell Courtney to let Artemis into the JSA
25. Cameron appears on the Whitmore-Dugans’ porch with the legitimate interest in seeing Courtney but Mike answers the door and has PTSD from his Eclipso vision
26. Rick is able to become an emancipated minor, leaving his Uncle Matt’s household for some crappy apartment (maybe in that living room area of the Pit Stop)
27. Cosmic Staff lore finally drops (Ted Knight appearance?)
28. There are more Golden Age JSA flashbacks, but Starman is less mean to Pat in them, since these flashbacks are told from Sylvester’s perspective
29. The JSA once again experiences a schism this season, but instead of members being out of commission, the group fractures into two (and they potentially fight each other)
30. Crusher and Paula hunt down the recruiter that told Artemis that she couldn’t be in the Big 10 and beat him until he agrees to give her a second chance
31. Mike has a retrospective heart-to-heart with the Thunderbolt about why their situations might have ended up working out for the better
32. Barbara and Cindy expand upon the little moment they had in Season 2, and Barbara becomes an adopted wholesome mother figure in Cindy’s life
33. There is an official rite-of-passage moment in which Sylvester observes Courtney and the JSA doing something he and the Golden Age JSA could never work out/achieve in their prime, and “Starman” by David Bowie plays
34. There is an Icicle-related flashback that either shows how the Mahkent family line(s) got their ice powers OR
35. Parallels the funerals of Christine and Jordan Mahkent (and maybe a grandparent should one of them not see the season finale?)
36. Pat once again does not get to fly STRIPE this season
37. Somebody’s parent gets kidnapped this season (most likely Beth’s)
38. Artemis gets a training montage with her parents, and gets a codename (I don’t think it’ll be Sportsmaster II or Tigress II, but something different)
39. Jennie exhibits some kind of plant powers, potentially teasing Rose Canton (not in terms of her being a major player in a future season, but just acknowledging that that is her and Todd’s mother)
40. The Shade joins the American Dream because why not (legitimately I don’t know why he’s going to be in this upcoming season, like I don’t have any idea what plotpoint he will be important to besides maybe knowing about Mister Bones)
41. OG Wildcat’s son (Thomas Bronson?) is somehow related to the Helix Institute plotline
42. Mike builds a STRIPE suit of his own (more reminiscent of Blue Beetle, perhaps) and gives back the original suit to his father
43. Should Courtney and Cameron have to fight each other this season, it ends with Courtney kicking Cameron in the balls while he is monologuing (as to be comic-accurate)
44. Alex Montez is slightly relevant again in this season, but in a way that has nothing to do with the comics (since they aren’t going to do Eclipso again)
45. Cyclone is teased towards the end of the season (or perhaps they would wait to include her, if they do end up including her, in the event of a college season?)
46. Mister Bones reforms by the end of the season and sets up Infinity Inc. as a partner team to the JSA, based elsewhere in the country, most likely in Civic City (and maybe sets up a spin-off?)
47. Courtney accidentally loses Doctor Fate’s helmet (did she even take it in the first place??? Or is it still at JSA HQ???) and it winds up with a teacher
48. Courtney ends up creating some kind of memorial for the people that Blue Valley lost over the course of the past three seasons, potentially building it in the JSA HQ
49. The season ends with one of the cliffhangers being Pat and Barbara telling Courtney and Mike that they are going to be having a baby together (Patricia Dugan, future Starwoman should Stargirl ever tackle a time travel/future season)
50. The villain that is teased for next season is Johnny Sorrow, potentially working with Cindy, Cameron, and Artemis (but honestly who knows what the dynamics of the kids are going to look like by the end of next season?)
Let me know if you agree with any of these predictions! Also if you want to talk to me in-depth about any of these, my asks should be open, and I am always in the mood to talk somebody’s ear off about Stargirl!
Submitted prompt: Bonding over traumas
Edited slightly. Mainly adding stuff in for Danny because I love him.
Since is canon that Danny Phantom can travel dimensions, i just thought about something.
Like we all know both Marinette and Danny have issues, right?!
I mean Adrien also have a few, but they’re mostly forced considering he barely has a role on the history and even when he appears simpatetic to others, is only when is convenient, so he doesn’t strive to make friends, he only really focuses on romancing Ladybug, so…
In one of his travels, Danny could accidentally enter the wrong hole or being sucked by it, so he ends up in Miraculous Ladybug universe. Where the heroes are fighting an Akuma. Like right now.
Of course, Chat Noir goes on to do his “usual thing” (purposefully antagonizing the Akuma and not caring at all about potential damage from this), making Danny confused. He jokes around while he’s fighting ghosts, but not at the expense of beating them. Not if it means putting people in danger!
Fortunately, Ladybug catches onto this, so she deals with the Akuma quickly (she’s sort of grateful Danny appeared, as Chat Noir was making it harder to defeat) and grabs him away. (he’s slightly grateful for this)
Both ignore Chat Noir pouting of annoyance, and Danny watches as she uses the cure with a certain fear, since he doesn’t know what’s happening. She explains what’s going on, with him adding his parts of the story, and the two bond a bit. (they’re both screwed up kids, who really needs some therapy)
Thus, as soon as they manage to bring him back to Amity Park, they think that’s the end of it.
However, those incidents continue to happen so often, and Marinette already has a cup of hot chocolate for him every time he’s near her house.
So, the two just chill around and vent to each other, whether she goes to his dimension via Kaalki, making sure Tikki is given to Fu if there is an Akuma, or he goes to hers, doesn’t matter.
The two are allowed to just be teens and talk with someone about their own issues and are happy with that. They don’t understand everything the other is going through, but they understand more than the rest of their peers, and it helps.
It comes to the point where Danny’s friends are used to Marinette suddenly appearing to help them with a ghost or receiving actual good food, instead of the “food” Danny’s parents give him and Jazz. (irradiated, reanimated turkey, anyone?)
Alya does miss her friend when she disappears off by herself every now and then, but except Adrien (who was never that close to Marinette herself), her classmates understand she wants to be alone sometimes.
Of course, they still expect her to help them with their problems, and Ms. Bustier is mad that her role model is mostly gone. The same is true for the Parisians, considering that the new Ladybug hero who takes over for her when she leaves isn’t how they’re used to, so she receives a bunch of criticism.
Chat Noir himself often chastises the new hero as well, demanding for his Lady to come back and not leave.
The Ladybug hero is annoyed by Adrien’s antics, but she wants to be helpful, and fortunately she’s one of the few who doesn’t view Ladybug as a messiah, and thus is able to have a proper view about everyone else. She knows Marinette needs a break, and that Marinette’s job is full time, hers is only for a few hours every now and then. She’s happy to help, even if it means she has to put up with Chat Noir’s constant whining.
While spending time with Danny, Marinette gets a new perspective on her relationships, and learns how to make them better.
She explains to her classmates that she has trouble saying no to them, because she doesn’t want to disappoint them, because she thinks they’ll stop being her friend. She spent too long being bullied by Chloe and having her drive her friends away, Marinette became a people-pleaser to try and stop it, but now she can’t stop. She worries they’ll hate her if she doesn’t help them all the time.
Her classmates apologize for putting pressure on her, however unintended, and promise to find other solutions before they come to her for help, and assure her that they won’t stop being her friend just because she can’t do a favor for them.
They respect her boundaries, and stand up for her when Ms. Bustier continues to pressure her to “set a good example”.
Marinette is happier since she met Danny, and her relationships and her mental health are better too. She gained a friend, and now she and her other friends are closer than ever, even if they don’t hang out together as often.
The only one not happy with these changes are Adrien, and Jack and Maddy. Being around someone who has a good relationship with their parents, and fresh eyes to see his situation, has made Danny realize just how abusive his parents are, and he’s started to openly rebel against them, drawing attention to how little they seem to care about their children’s safety and wellbeing.
Even Jazz is shocked by some of the things Danny starts drawing attention to–she knew her parents weren’t great, but she grew up under their abuse too, so some things she just took for granted, would never have glanced twice at.
She thought all big sisters had to feed their little brothers or else they wouldn’t be fed. She thought all big sisters had to act as a parent to their younger siblings. She thought all big sisters were forced to grow up way too fast just to make sure their little siblings grew up at all.
Tucker of course shares all of this with his parents, since he had no idea it was so bad, and neither did they. They talk to Sam’s parents, and the teachers at the school, and eventually all of the responsible adults end up calling in Amity’s version of child protective services, who move Jazz and Danny into their custody, and prepare a case against Jack and Maddie.
Sam eventually forces her parents to let Danny and Jazz stay with them until an official foster or adoptive family is found, since they have more than enough money and space to accommodate two more teenagers, and Jazz isn’t old enough or even remotely ready to handle the responsibility of becoming Danny’s guardian.
 Shockingly, Mr. Lancer eventually steps up to adopt Danny and Jazz, and though Danny is at first worried about the idea of living with his teacher, Mr. Lancer turns out to be really fun and cool when he’s not handing out homework assignments. He even plays the same online games as Danny, and is better at it than Danny. As an adoption gift, Mr. Lancer crafts some powerful weapons and armour in the game for him, Tucker, and Sam, and helps Jazz get started, since, now that she’s not playing the role of parent, she has enough time to actually be a kid and enjoy herself for the first time since she can remember.
She and Marinette have a lot in common, though they haven’t hung out with eachother to realize that just yet.
Because of a chance encounter, things change in big ways⏤
And all for the better.
regis and angouleme mentorship-friendship-parenthood masterpost
(notes under cut)
canon interactions
their first interaction is that regis, in an attempt to stop geralt from accusing cahir of treachery, accuses angouleme of lying, who appears and tells him not to accuse her... and her typical nicknaming all adult men “uncle” to annoy them follows. [1]
also from when they first meet, angouleme rides regis’s mule, draakul. it is sort of suggested that she took the ride without permission (as normal equines cannot stand regis’ presence, so why would he give it up?), but on the malheur pass, angouleme rides draakul again. with character development and trust, it may be inferred that upon this second time, she took the ride with permission.
jana komárková (whose work might be counted as canon as the official illustrator of the czech editions) drew regis protecting angouleme when geralt and cahir fight (although her regis design is debatable, heh)
regis does not understand angouleme’s usage of swearing, but takes up using her funny sayings, such as “look at what the cat dragged in,” amongst others. (this can be seen as similar to a father emulating teenage slang he heard from his daughter - to be annoying, or genuinely because he thinks they are nifty)
angouleme approaches geralt and regis as they are speaking together in the palace rose gardens and bothers them with gossip. regis does not rebuke her or show signs of annoyance, and responds to her gossip with seriousness.
angouleme and regis take turns informing geralt about milva’s recent life events concerning her refusal of the baron’s marriage proposal
regis defends angouleme when he did not need to from fringilla when she antagonizes her [2] and probes her for information about geralt. regis interrupts fringilla and begins to argue with her, which presents considerable risk for him as she is a sorceress and demonstrates, even within the conversation, that she knows him to be a vampire. [3]
similarities which bond them
turmultous youth, cruelty, loss and regaining of ‘humanity' [4]
addictions which dull their pain and numb them to the loss of their friends [5]
similar relationships to alcohol [6]
similar mannerisms in conversation; talking about unrelated topics when unprompted [7], and requiring someone to remind them to return to the topic at hand to refocus
for some reason, falling to stakes as a common motif [8]
bridges to cross
regis has achieved peace and acceptance already, angouleme is still surrounded by chaos and violence
regis focuses on helping others; angouleme focuses on annoying others. but they each do both canonically [9]
what can they learn?
angouleme could learn peace, humanity, acceptance. this would be a step in the right direction for her to re-learn how to treat herself and others with kindness (though i think “learning respect” would be a little much, and something she doesn’t need). regis is a healer, so being alongside him would allow her to heal from pain and focus on regeneration, life, instead of the violent and dark past... she also could learn about not defining herself as what others might see her as, instead determining her identity for herself [10]
regis could learn the capstone of humanity, fulfilling his character arc - as humanity is defined by mortality, parent and child dynamics. vampires do not have anything like parental guidance, so this is a uniquely human concept. it seems to me that in a company set out to rescue a daughter, it would be grand if he should come to personally understand what the concept of a daughter is
general thematic contrasts
the sage and the student, the wise and the ignorant (but as it turns out, the teacher becomes the student...)
the past and the future (meet together in the present)
the dark and the light (regis is dark-haired, angouleme is light-haired, they also have night and day motifs)
why regis and angouleme, specifically?
considering regis’s dark past and struggles with addiction and violence, i think he would understand angouleme well. the stupidity of youth... but also the value of it, why it can’t be discarded or shamed...
additionally, regis is a vampire and not beholden to human worrying and fussing over a child, which angouleme would find to be suffocating (for example, geralt or milva would forbid her from participating in dangerous activities, but regis may just shrug and think it would be a good lesson for her. of course, this means that he must learn the human way to parent, which is to keep your child out of danger). this would make regis a good confidant for angouleme, who may not want to tell geralt or milva about dangerous activities for fear they would ground her or worry
angouleme is exceedingly straightforward and regis is extremely philosophical which results in comedic exchanges
“child befriends strange otherworldly being” is always a great dynamic.
[1] one of the prominent themes of interactions in the witcher is when a parent meets a child which they will later adopt, but they meet on the wrong foot and dislike each other in the beginning. you can see this with geralt and ciri as well as yennefer and ciri.
[2] i characterize fringilla’s behavior in this scene towards angouleme as antagonizing her because suggesting that she unwillingly became pregnant isn’t a simple joke when one considers that fringilla is much older than angouleme and also angouleme is a csa survivor. to clarify, i don’t think fringilla is a bad person for this, but she went “too far” in the joke, as this may demonstrate that she is not close enough to angouleme to understand when she is comfortable and when she is not
[3] speaking of his nightly activities, as well as calling him only by his last names, which he tells no one, suggesting that she read his whole name from his mind. regis also mentions earlier that in order to stay safe in toussaint, he must ‘stay away from sorcerers,’ and he is clearly doing the opposite here.
[4] regis was not born with humanity, he had to learn it painstakingly after centuries of his only thoughts being of blood and parties. angouleme had humanity but lost it as she became a bandit and has been living ferally, her only thoughts of survival and a next meal.
[5] regis lost all of his friends slowly when he became so unpleasant to be around and focused on his addiction. angouleme lost all of her friends slowly as they were killed off by the law or unspoken events
[6] regis states in baptism of fire that it did not matter who they drank from, as long as there was hemoglobin. angouleme states in lady of the lake that you can get drunk on cheap wines just as well as you can from expensive ones, and you puke the same as well...
[7] angouleme speaks about how mining operations work in the north case mines, much to geralt’s annoyance. regis speaks about logging operations in angren, much to everyone’s annoyance. regis speaks on about his backstory in baptism of fire (his past). angouleme speaks on about her plans for a brothel in lady of the lake (her future).
[8] regis was punctured by stakes when he was killed. both fulko artevelde and nightingale threatened to have angouleme gutted on a stake
[9] regis annoys geralt in baptism of fire multiple times, especially when he comes back for the fish soup scene. angouleme helps geralt when she makes her character debut and informs him about schirru’s plot.
[10] as it relates to regis saying that many would see him as a monster, a blood-drinking fiend... angouleme expects geralt and cahir to admonish her for her use of fisstech, and is aware that others see her as a no-good criminal. she could learn that all there is to identity is self-determination. also i definitely mean this manner of ‘determining your own identity’ in a transgender way thanks for reading
How i want to rant about the TBB writing
So after gathering my thoughts, but still unable to truly reel in my feelings about this season of The Bad Batch ( especially the finale ), i figured i would chime in on how i see things.
Tumblr media
Starting with the glaring obvious: Crosshair!
They have done him so dirty. Seriously dirty. If they wanted him to become the villain in the story, that is alright, I can accept that and love my villain all the same.
But the whole set up on his character has been that of someone who needed something badly, was searching for something while maintaining his snarky and crude personality. All the time they have been keeping us guessing on when the chip would fail on him and when he would realize what was happening.
All the signs are there that he still has his chip, despite his claim that he had it removed long ago.
Now we have seen him turn against his brothers and choose to join the Empire. He then slowly began to show the signs of not wanting to kill them and actually wanting to reunite with them. Rampart wanted them as his prisoners and probably used for the cloning under the Empire and then killed, while Crosshair had his own plans. He missed shots, seemed more conflicted then ever, had headaches and then the engine blasts to the head? Sure thing his chip would malfunction and then when they got him, his brothers would remove the chip and yay ! Reunion.
Instead, we get angry Crosshair still offering his brothers the chance to join him with the Empire, sent Omega off to safety and when he realized that would not happen he was left behind again. This guy has been chasing his brothers and tried to reunite with them, he killed his own squad, minus one with his old trick with the reflector disks ( did you see he carried them again after they killed off the training droids? ) and he did what he could to safe his family, including Omega and AZI! Again still showing so many signs of still having the chip and also being so very torn and hurt.
If they do not use this all and have him completely redeemed soon in Season 2 so that he can be reunited with the Batch, then sorry, the writing team has chosen the easy way out in writing.
Echo:
Almost nothing came from our sweet Echo in the final finale. A few words and actions and that is it. Now this is a man who has suffered more from the separatists ( now Empire ) then any of them and he KNOWS how it feels to be used and abused for the skills you posses. Yet this man has been shoved to the side and made into someone you can make fun of because he is "more droid then man ' . He would have been the perfect man to bond with Crosshair and help him see things for what they truly are and how he can get passed all that. But no, keep the one man who could do such things as a form of comic relief and handy tool.
Wrecker:
Seriously?????? Blaming Crosshair for not searching them out? He had his kriffing chip Activated! He knows damn well what that does to you and how you react to it. Hell, Crosshair said the Soldiers follow orders line again! Sure it missed the Good, but he probably thinks he is not as good because he lost his gamble there, but still! He grabbed for his head and all his actions were that of someone with an active chip and Wrecker does not even consider that? Wrecker would be the one to bond over the activated chip and the guilt that came from it! but noooo, he just blames Crosshair and that is it. Again.... lazy writing!
Tech:
He has been the most objective in things and has explained how Crosshair has always been Crosshair. That he understands him but does not have to agree with everything he says or does. The thing that is missed here? Simply his deductions on how despite his claim of removal, there are too many signs of the chip still being there and even if the chip was removed, Crosshair seems to be brainwashed and has been going through hell, not even counting his injuries! Again, better writing then most of the other members, still missed opportunities!
Hunter:
The leader that seems to be made to only focus on one thing: Omega. Somehow he is the one to be shown as the Dad and the leader who leads only to what he deems most important. Sure he is making difficult decisions and he has some nice speeches and what not, but there is still a lot lacking here and a lot missing. He was shown searching for the scar, yet no comments what so ever on them. He decided to take the unconscious Crosshair with them and then gave him the choice to join them again. But seriously, did he think it was all just easily done once they got out of the water and he had his little speech about betrayal? With his heightened senses and leadership skills, he should have been the one to tell the others not to antagonize each other until they left Kamino and gone into safety. He could have offered Crosshair a ride off of Kamino and then work on keeping their brother safe and with them. Oh and did he really not think about AZI? The droid that was with Omega from before they were all created and who is a Medical Droid? The Droid that could have information about the chip and about Crosshair? Again, more then enough potential but the writing seemed to focus only on Dad Hunter and not Leader and Brother Hunter.
Omega:
Omega has been the most consistent in the entire season. A child that has left the only home she has known. the kid that has found her family and wants to keep them all together while they travel and adventure and try to carve out a living together. I expect to hear more about her creation and what she knows about Nala Se and the plans in season 2 and to see more of her and AZI working together as the medics of the group.
I expect to see more from AZI when it is powered up and that , unless the memory banks are wiped, we will hear more about Crosshair and possibly other clones that made it out and that are on the run for the Empire.
Oh and when they all pulled guns at Crosshair? That was the point he probably thought, F*** it, you do not even trust me when i work with you. None of them seem to think he is under the chips influence, they just take his word on it that it is removed and that is it. Especially for Hunter, Tech and Wrecker to not even give him the benefit of the doubt and just judge him there and then? They know him better then that !
To me the writing team will have to seriously work out the deeper layers here and actually make it a better story for them all. The redemption through death is far too easy as an escape from the story for Crosshair or any of the others in TBB and for Crosshair to end up being a true villain? Far too easy as well and too lazy.
I know this was a long rant, but i had to let it out!
I have spoken.....@loth-wolffe@hellothere-generalangsty@nahoney22@moonstrider9904@uponrightful@cyroku@catbustours@chaoticvampirejedi
Pairing: TOS!McSpirk
Summary: Spock takes the time to examine his thoughts (and feelings) towards the Enterprise's captain and chief medical officer. He decides the most logical course of action is to address his findings.
Rating: G | Word Count: 1862 | also on ao3
Spock had long since learned not to say thoughts tied to emotion. Such ruminations had to be examined critically and in such a time and location so as to not interfere with his work. Only in this way could he put logic first, by making a habit of it. He was not sure if this was the process other Vulcans applied, but it was the one that worked best for him.
He knew he was successful when he was able to apply this method around members of his family; with positive emotions and negative. Only in absolute private he might tell his mother he loved her, tell his sister he missed her, or tell his brother that they were still, always, family.
It was best not to think about the emotions that came up involving his father. Or the feelings around the fact that his family was two and a half parts human and two and a half parts Vulcan. Of not being a whole.
Those walls had begun to slip, of late. And that was because he was faced with emotions that were not tangled up in his Vulcan upbringing. Feelings that included a sense of being held together, a chance at healing his two halves.
Which brought him to the matter at hand.
"You're you, Spock!" Leonard snapped, though the anger was not directed at Spock himself. The doctor was pacing about Jim's quarters, while Spock sat at the Captain's desk observing him. "You're not broken! All you have to do in this life is be honest with yourself."
Spock raised a brow. "Is this a time for the old anecdote, physician heal thyself?"
Leonard managed to scowl deeper. "Damn it, man, at least I'm trying. Talking about these sorts of things with someone you trust and care about is important."
"Is that not what I am attempting to do?" Spock asked. Before Jim had been called away to deal with a potential issue among the Enterprise's current guests, Spock had gathered both Jim and Leonard together with the purpose of working through a line of thought that had followed him around for the past 30 days.
Leonard deflated a bit, rubbing his hands together in a nervous manner. Spock attempted not to stare, as the emotions that evoked were ones he had not yet begun to speak of.
"Do not worry, Leonard, I will not continue until Jim has returned," Spock said in a tone he hoped would be reassuring.
"How am I supposed to do that, with you calling us by our names?" Leonard protested, now tossing his hands up in the air.
"It is a personal matter, so it would be illogical to use your professional titles."
"And that's why I'm nervous! Last time you had a personal matter that you had to involve me and Jim in, you were dying or your father was dying." Leonard didn't return to pacing, instead, he crossed the room and kneeled beside Spock. His blue eyes were wide and filled with concern.
"My apologies. I did not mean to raise alarm," Spock said, reaching out towards Leonard. He wasn't sure what he'd do, but he needed such dramatics to end. It brought an uncomfortable warmth that was tempting to lean into. To drown in. “Please, stand.” Spock stopped himself before he actually could touch Leonard’s elbows.
Leonard seemed to take a long enough time pondering this request as to border on his usual teasing. He finally stood, pressing a hand against Spock’s knee as he did. He settled then into Jim’s other chair so that they were now directly across from each other. “So you’re not dying.”
“Not that I am aware of. Though as my doctor, I believe you are to give me such status updates.”
This returned Leonard to a... huffier state. “I’d be able to do that if you didn’t lie to me.”
“Vulcan’s do not lie,” Spock reminded him.
“Oh really? Then it seems like I’ll need a copy of whatever definition you’re using for the word.”
Jim returned to catch that last exchange. “Gentlemen. I see I haven’t missed anything.” He was smiling, coming to lean against the partition that divided his quarters.
Spock found himself calmed by Jim’s presence. “The Andorian ambassador is settled?”
“Yes, Scotty was able to change the climate control settings for her quarters to something comfortable,” Jim said, as he looked from Spock to Leonard and back. “Where were we?”
“Spock was telling us something that is a “personal matter",” Leonard provided. “I’ve got him to promise no one is dying.”
“Statistically in the breadth of the universe and even just among life as we know it, at this moment-”
“Shut it!” Leonard’s tone was supposed to be sharp, but it was too rounded by his own laughter.
“Very well,” Spock turned towards Leonard, both eyebrows raised, and remained silent.
“Jim, look what he’s doing now!” Leonard complained, leaning closer towards Spock, as close as he could get with the desk between them.
Jim’s laughter filled the silence, and he crossed the room to sit on the corner of his desk. “Spock, Bones, come now.” His face was in that easy grin of his, the one Spock associated with times when all was well. “Spock, what did you want to talk to us about?”
Yes, the mission at hand. One that he had set for himself because, given the nature of their work and luck, it seemed best to share his thoughts sooner than later. Spock had planned the words he would say carefully, trying to predict what response he might get. He would not call himself nervous, as that emotion tended to be one of the most illogical.
“Yeah Spock, sorry,” Leonard smiled kindly, leaning back again. His foot nudged Spock’s under the table in what must have been encouragement. Leonard rarely apologized for their mutual antagonization of the other, another sign he was taking this seriously.
“It has come to my attention that I hold you both in strong regard.” Spock thought that was as good a place to start as any, even as his practiced words seemed to fall away. He should have written them down... But that would have no doubt brought Leonard’s amusement and possibly ire. “I also know, while it is not the practice on Vulcan, for many cultures it is customary to let those you care about know of your regard towards them.”
Both Leonard and Jim were silent, which was not one of the responses Spock had anticipated. It was Leonard who finally spoke and said, “Are you sure you’re not dying? Because you just admitted to having an emotion. Several, in fact.”
“Indeed. It was our last away mission that brought me to further examine my feelings towards both Jim and yourself.” Spock had been the one, after 27.8 frantic hours, to find and rescue the captain and chief medical officer. Between coordinating the rescue effort, Spock found his thoughts consumed with things he wished to tell them both. “I... care for you both. My existence is greatly improved by your presence in it.”
He hoped that they could understand all he was not able to say. ‘Don’t leave me, I need you, I missed you, I-’
“Spock,” Jim’s voice was soft, and when Spock looked up at him, so was his expression. “I feel the same.” He then looked towards Leonard, and Spock followed his gaze.
Leonard looked between them both, and his blinking grew more rapid. When he finally spoke, his voice was rough. “Damnit, I don’t know what I’d do if I lost either of you. You’ve both managed to pick up my pieces and put them back together. I can’t remember the last time I felt complete.”
Of course, Leonard, who was better with emotions than either Spock or Jim, would put the words to it: that there existed between them something that exceeded a friendship bond. They had become family. Partners. A tension settled then, the question -
“What do we do?” Jim voiced it. “It’s not as if we can stop going on dangerous missions. That’s not the life we signed up for.”
“I know neither of you could be happy sitting by,” Leonard agreed. “You’re explorers to your cores. And someone who asks you to change your very nature isn’t worth keeping.”
Keep. Spock turned the word over in his mind. “It seems that what is in our power to change is the parameters of our relationship.”
Jim let out a breath that sounded like ‘yes.’
“If you’re suggesting what I think you’re suggesting, that’d be against regulation.” Leonard pointed at Spock. “Would you be okay with that?”
“Affirmative.” Spock had to focus to keep his tone even. This was not one of the outcomes he had let himself ponder. His desire for it would have become overwhelming.
“What about the ol’ needs of the many over the few?” Leonard said, and Spock knew he wasn’t arguing because he was against the possibility now hanging heavy in the room, more tangible than it had ever been before because it had been named. Leonard was making sure Spock was sure; that he was comfortable.
“You are both professionals, whom I trust not to let the personal adversely interfere with the running of the ship.” It was an easier answer than he thought. “I even theorize that such a change in our relationship could improve personal performance.”
“Now that is a theory that I want to test.” Jim moved to stand, so he could face them both fully. His smile was back and wider than Spock could recall seeing it. “I’d like to very much.”
Leonard was smiling now as well. “Why am I surprised that this has been the weirdest way I’ve ever been asked out?”
“Come on Bones, for science,” Jim’s eyes twinkled, and he reached out to catch one of Leonard’s hands. “But more importantly, for... love.”
Spock watched the way their fingers fit together, and almost missed that Jim had spoken the final unspoken word. He looked back towards their expressions, before standing himself and coming closer, to stand between them both.
“Of course I will,” Leonard said. “Spock?”
“Affirmative,” Spock said again, and added, while carefully watching Leonard’s expression. “It should prove fascinating.” Before Leonard could offer a retort to that, Spock held out his index and middle finger to him. A gesture he knew the good doctor had picked up the significance of.
Leonard’s eyes went wide once more, but he didn’t hesitate before reciprocating the gesture. Once he had, Spock felt a wave of affection he could not pinpoint as his own emotion or Leonard’s. Spock then offered the same to Jim, who looked like he had been given a gift to rival his captaincy of the Enterprise.
When Jim’s finger’s met Spock’s, the three of them stood visibly connected in a way Spock knew their lives had already long been. This, then, was proof that he would not lose them. At least, not without making sure they knew what they meant to him.
It spoke of a new beginning, a new adventure, shared between the three of them.
Hugo Lives AU Headcanons
Just wanted to share some headcanons from my Hugo Lives/Best Music Teacher Scarlemagne AU. Some of these might become fics at some point (a la A Gentler Night), but most are just fun little ideas. This post is pretty long, so headcanons are under the break.
Hugo spends season 3 in a more humane cell. The cell used in the actual show is nothing short of a literal torture chamber. No bed, no toilet, no privacy, no enrichment, no access to water. US solitary confinement cells still provide access to bedding and hygiene facilities, and even those are deemed inhumane by human rights groups like Amnesty International. In my HC, he instead is housed in a converted studio apartment style dwelling in Timbercat Village. The windows are covered with the same (presumably plexiglass) material that the cell in the show was made of. There’s a bathroom, a bed, and access to fresh water. There’s a sort of visiting area at the front of the cell with more plexiglass providing a barrier between the visitor side and the interior of the cell. There’s seating on each side of the barrier and a table on the visitor side. The barrier has a slot like the one in the show, but instead of being used solely for food, visitors are allowed to also transfer small items (e.g. books, puzzles, clothing, a certain star blanket). Items too big for the slot require approval from at least 2 out of 3 of the following individuals: Kipo, Lio, and Yumyan (Molly inherits Yumyan’s vote after he’s cured). The first large item to be approved is the electric keyboard Song gave him in It’s a Trap. In my HC he gets it a lot earlier. Kipo points out that he was more open to communicating when they played the piano together, so it’s given in the hopes that it’ll help with rehabilitation. He also has sound cancelling headphones to plug into the keyboard because having to listen to banjo makes him extra irritable and harder to deal with.
The Oak family spends way more time together. The family dynamics shown in the first 2 seasons are mostly put aside in season 3 in favor of the cure plotline, and I think this was a real loss. We got a little bit in Song ReMix and Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing, but I wanted a lot more. Inspired by @editoress , Hugo and Kipo jam regularly. She brings a guitar and they play and compose together. For Hugo, it’s the one bright spot in his incarceration. For Kipo it’s fun, but also how she tries to reach him. He’s more willing to talk when there’s music involved, though he still shuts down at certain topics. They also play board games with Kipo moving his pieces for him. Kipo has suggested he play with others as well, but he doesn’t trust anyone else not to cheat. Song listens in all the time. Both when Hugo and Kipo are jamming, or when one of them is playing on their own. She and the rest of the Oak family slowly build up an informal sign language for her to use. Some of it is based on ASL, but much of it is unique to them given their rather unique situation and Song’s extra limbs. The first thing she signs is ‘I love you’. Lio visits Hugo in the hopes of patching things up. I won’t go into too much detail on this one as I’m already writing the fic, but Lio goes to visit and they start to hash things out. The process long and difficult, but they make progress. Lio and Song both take an active roll in reining Kipo in when she tries to take on more responsibility than she can handle. Kipo is all too eager to play savior, even when doing so puts her health and safety at risk. Lio runs interference when the mutes are asking too much of her and Song has been known to pick her up and place her in front of her room then sign ‘sleep’ when she’s been awake too long.
Hugo is injured the crash. I already wrote a fic about this, so again: not going into detail. He survives with a few busted ribs then spends his recovery with the rest of the Oak family. He initially stays in the hospital, but eventually moves with the rest of the family into a restored house.
The Oak family finally gets to live together. After the series’ end, the humans (and any displaced mutes) pick out houses on the surface. These houses are then fixed up by the Timbercats. Song and Kipo choose the family’s house together. Wolf really only cares about having reliable shelter and Lio is just happy to have the whole family together. There’s 3 bedrooms, so initially Wolf and Kipo share out of necessity while Hugo’s using the third room. He moves out a couple months after recovering and into a Victorian-style mansion in what used to be one of the wealthier neighborhoods of Las Vistas. As much as he enjoyed spending time with the family their tastes just aren’t as refined as his and he needs room for his baby grand and a proper art studio. After Hugo moves out, Kipo and Wolf still share a room. Lio and Song make it clear that they can have their own rooms if they want, but they both express that they’d rather stay together. Until they decide otherwise, the 3rd bedroom is used as guest room/informal music studio.
The family has weekly game nights. Friends can come too (Benson and Dave are regulars), but the core group is the Oak family. When they have too many players, they’ll pair up in teams. Wolf and Hugo are not allowed to be on a team together. They did that once while playing RISK and not only utterly destroyed everyone else, they started acting like supervillains. They took it way too far.
Lio and Hugo reconcile… eventually. Even after the progress they made during season 3, things are still rough between them for a while. Hugo remains somewhat antagonistic towards Lio for much of his recovery. He does try to be better, but his default reaction to emotional discomfort is to verbally lash out at others and, given their history, Lio makes for a tempting target. Over time, and with a lot of work, the antagonism fades into good-natured ribbing. Hugo still crosses the line at times, but isn’t as slow to admit to fault and apologize. Every now and then an argument will break out. While Hugo isn’t as obstinate as he used to be, there are still times when he gets defensive and escalates rather than accept that he may have gone too far. The relationship is still pretty strained by the time Hugo moves out, but having his own space allows him and Lio to find a sort of balance. They can see each other whenever they want, but also have distance whenever they need it.
Hugo becomes a music teacher. The idea was Kipo’s. Given his love of music and how good he was with the mute kids, it just made sense to her. In a rare moment of agreement, Lio and Hugo both point out that most parents in Las Vistas would probably object to a former dictator (who may have mind controlled them) teaching their children. Song eventually comes up with the suggestion to start out giving private piano lessons. The parents of the mute kids he played with back at Timbercat village have formed a grudging trust for him, so they might be willing. Hugo exclusively gives private lessons for about a year. His students love the lessons (even when he gets a little manic) and their parents come to see him in a new light. Over that year, word of mouth reaches most of Las Vistas, and the idea of him teaching at the school becomes less and less objectionable. The school initially hires him on a part-time basis to test the waters, and he’s okay with that as it leaves him plenty of time for his private lesson students. Music and band rapidly become the most popular classes among students, and the school offers Hugo full-time hours. He accepts, but only at the start of the new school year. He adores his private lesson students and doesn’t want to just drop them. He gives extra private lessons in the months leading up to the new year, making sure each kid is confident in their abilities before they ‘graduate’ from his tutelage. At each kid’s final lesson, he lets them know that they can come by every now and then if they have questions or just want to jam. Every single one of them takes him up on the offer. The whole Oak family is immensely proud of Hugo, but none more so than Lio. Lio was the one who taught Hugo to play, and it was their favorite way to bond back in the old burrow. Seeing Hugo pass along the gift of music and get so much joy out of doing so makes Lio happy and proud in a way that makes his heart feel so full it might burst.
Wolf and Hugo bond. Neither one of them is initially thrilled to have the other as an adoptive sibling, but during Hugo’s recovery they begin to realize they have a lot in common. Mostly a pink-haired sister and taste for violence, but every relationship starts somewhere. After the RISK incident, they’re thick as thieves. They both still prefer Kipo over each other, but they’re partners in crime now. They continue to bring out the worst in each other.
That’s it for now! I have more, but I’ll save them for another post. This one is already super long.
title: just keep breathing
fandom(s): fallen hero rebirth/retribution
pairing(s): wei chen x sidestep. ricardo ortega x sidestep. wei chen x ricardo ortega x sidestep. ricardo ortega x wei chen.
playlist/song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMkz9JF7teY
rating: t+
summary: maybe it’s not about fixing what’s broken. maybe it’s about starting over and creating something better.
warning(s): pre poly relationship, comfort food, pining, mild spoilers for the alpha build, angst and hurt/comfort.
Listen.
I played Fallen Hero Rebirth and rated it a solid 9, and the story initially left me crying my eyeballs out but mildly confused, wanting to understand things. So I replayed and replayed and replayed. I picked up things and the clues started fitting together. I paid for the Retribution alpha build and I’m still crying my eyeballs out at night over it but I wanted resolution. I wanted to give (one of) my character(s) a light at the end of the tunnel.
So this is what it is. Or an attempt at it because FHR is really quite dark and not for the faint hearted. Those warning tags are not for show.
Sidestep’s name is Tyndall Bowman in this one.
~
It happens on a Sunday. The last weekend before a new month started, technically.
Ortega frequently visits Chen’s apartment and brings food, lightly ribbing the other man for his lackluster kitchen space. Chen’s routine response becoming less and less exasperated each time.
You think that he not so secretly fears that you’ll both starve or subsist off canned food and cheap takeout. ...Which probably isn’t a far off assumption, considering the implication day one of your temporary living situation.
It could be considered sweet, if it wasn’t so very funny. (You had to get your kicks somewhere).
Your legs are still broken.
Progress is frustratingly slow.
You’d tried to move to a schedule of crutches-only by the second week out of sheer boredom and the flat look Chen had leveled in your direction caused you to nix that idea stat.
There’s a tension between Chen and you now.
Not to say that there rarely isn’t tension, but that’s usually due to an aftermath of an argument. Now? Now, you’re aware of him. Aware of him in a way that you’d only been aware of Ortega.
Fucking hell.
Someone’s knee brushes lightly against yours, breaking you out of your reverie. You glance to the left and catch sight of Ricardo watching you with soft, worried eyes. Chen also watching, but less obvious in his concern, features more stoic, controlled. The three of you are in the living room, they are siting on the couch, you’re in your wheelchair.
They probably asked you something and you were zoned out.
The lie is on the tip of your tongue, “I’m fine,” you mumble and grip your bowl which has half melted blueberry swirl ice cream and salted caramel cheesecake. Sweets are your kryptonite but Ricardo has pulled out your top favorites...
“You’re fine?” Ricardo scoffs, his tone skeptic.
A muscle jumped in your jaw. “Yep, just fine,” you reply, using your spoon to scoop up some ice cream, take a bite and enjoy the flavor. Refusing to give an inch and let him win.
The two of you had played this game many times, too many actually, and it usually ends with you being the one to fall for the prodding, and then you get angry, lash out.
Walk away.  Only this time you can’t.
Another scoff. “Typical. You do this every time, you know.” There’s a surprising amount of bitterness in Ricardo’s voice now.
“Ricardo,” Chen starts to interject, the strain clear in his voice. “Tyndall. Stop.”
It’s too late though.
Placing down the bowl on the nearest surface, freeing up your hands, you clench then unclench your fingers, trying to avoid cracking your knuckles. “And what about you, then huh, Saint Ortega?” The sneer on your face is ugly. “You’re always on about me being honest with my feelings and talking, but the truth of it is, you’re just like me, or worse!”
Ortega looks dumbfounded. As if he can’t believe you’d dare to throw the truth in his face like this, so obviously. He recovers quicker than you’d like, much to your annoyance, though. “...Maybe so,” he acknowledges, his voice softer. Enough to lull a more gullible individual into complacency or just anyone not paying attention. You know better. “That’s a topic we can revisit in a moment. I’m more curious about how long the two of you expect me to play the idiot here.”
Unwillingly, your eyes dart to Chen’s, then away.
Not focusing on any particular point in the room. Does Ortega know that you’re Mastermind? Since when, and did Chen tell him? Or is he bluffing right now and he doesn’t know? Is he talking about something totally different than what you’re thinking about?
Quick! Think up an appropriate answer and throw him off the trail!
“....I don’t....know what you mean.”
That’s not what you should say!!
Chen sighs deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose.  He looks pretty much done with the both of you right now, not that you can blame him. “Be clearer, the two of you have a propensity for telling half truths which leads to the majority of these absurd arguments.”
Ricardo winced and you feel the sting from that particular burn as well.
“In response to your statement, though, no one is expecting you to play the fool.” He looks a little nervous, guilty. “ I... We’ve kissed.” There’s a pinch to his brow, the tips of his ears turning pink. “That wasn’t an example of being a good friend to you, kissing Tyndall and murkying the waters further when I knew the two of you were...” There’s a pause as he tries to find a word for what you and Ortega shared before you and he tentatively stopped antagonizing each other and bonded over Spoon.
You snorted, lips twisting into a wry smile, “The phrasing of that sentence makes it sound as if I found it a chore to kiss you or something.” Chen cuts you an admonishing look which you temporarily ignore as you turn to glance at Ortega who’d been watching the byplay between you and Chen with an unreadable expression. For the nth time, you wish you could read his mind, and at the same time, you’re grateful that you can’t.
“...He’s right though. It was an epically shitty thing to do, kissing your oldest friend, who’s probably had a crush on you since he’s met you, while we were kissing. Totally and unnecessarily complicated.”
He just looked at the two of you for a moment. Then Ricardo sighed heavily, running a hand over his face, wearily. “Esto es un desastre.”
You say nothing, staying quiet because honestly, you agree. This is a mess, and it was poorly handled, on all sides. You’d already spilled the beans about Chen having a crush Ortega before it got to this point because you sincerely thought the conversation should have come up properly over seven years ago, your ‘death’ should have been a nonfactor.
They likely would’ve been a couple already if they weren’t such obtuse idiots.
“Okay... okay...” Ricardo seems to have come to a conclusion. He nods resolutely, turning all his considerably intense focus onto Chen who seems taken aback by it. Leaning forward into the other man’s space, slow enough that it’d be easy to shove him back, but of course Chen doesn’t. Ricardo’s hand went to the nape of his neck, lightly urging Chen forward, the other man obeying that silent request, and in the span of a breath, they’re kissing.
Your don’t avert your gaze, as much as you want to.
This is a private thing, you shouldn’t look, shouldn’t stare like a pervert.
‘Isn’t this what you knew would happen?’ Of course, your brain isn’t nice.
This is what you wanted right, for them to get their act together.
Humans falling in love with each other is normal and acceptable. (Although your education depicted of men and women falling in love, primarily). It happens all the time.
Such emotion is a luxury a Re-Gene cannot afford, nor can they sincerely feel it, that’s what you were taught on the Farm. So resistant to the idea of going back to being treated as an unfeeling thing, your re-education had been particularly brutal.
“Whatever horrible thing your mind is telling you, it isn’t true.”
Once again caught off guard, lost in thought, you’re unprepared for Ricardo to kiss you. He tastes faintly of blueberry swirl ice cream and sweet tea, and maybe it’s your imagination, but maybe even a little bit like Chen. It’s that stray thought that has you jerk your head, trying to turn away from him. “W...what the hell, asshole?”
He snorted. “You know you sound really cute when you curse.”
Baring your teeth, you snap, “Tomber d'une falaise!” Although the idiot clearly didn’t know what you said in French, basically telling him to fall off a cliff, it didn’t stop him from dramatically clutching at his chest, as if he’d been stabbed in the heart; he could probably guess it was at least an insult.
“Stop teasing him, Ricardo.” Chen admonished. Ricardo mock pouted. “I mean it. Can’t you see that he’s overwhelmed?”
“I am not overwhelmed!”, you vehemently protest.
“Out of your depth then,” Chen countered and before you could complain that it was pretty much the same thing, only with differing meanings, he continued on, “What our resident idiot is clumsily trying to show instead of explain, is that he wants both of us.”
“If you want a threesome, fine. It’ll have to wait, as I’m a bit physically impaired at the moment.” You’re almost surprised by the bitterness in your voice.
Chen stared at you for a brief moment and then he braced both hands on either side of your wheelchair. Heart slowly turning over in your chest, oddly feeling as if you’re caught in the gaze of a hunter, you stubbornly keep eye contact for a second or two, but can’t maintain it for long. That doesn’t stop him from murmuring in your right ear, “Stop being so stubborn. Stop lying. You want this. To be in a relationship with both of us.”  A brief pause. “Correct?”
Fucking hell...
Swallowing thickly, wondering the logistics of how that would work out. Wondering if you were about to once again make a horrible mistake. Then again, since you’d come back to Los Diablos, since Ortega found you again, that’s all you’ve been doing so far, haven’t you. Making mistake after mistake after mistake.
“Yes.”
As Chen’s left hand buried itself in your curls, taking control, tilting your head back, idly you wondered if the next time you hit the ground, if it’d hurt less. This is after a freefall into madness, it feels like, and twice as foolish. Yet you surrender, and you stop thinking, enjoy the kiss.
Hello, it is Galaxy here.
Today I am full of bitterness, so in order to properly get it out of my system I'm going to outline how I would rewrite My Hero Academia season one.
Real quick, I want to say that I'll be keeping any canon ships or romantic interests despite what I personally ship.
Here we go.
The Galactic Season One Rewrite
Episode Four: The Entrance Exam
This is where the changes start as I don't have any problems with the first three episodes. While the first change is minor I feel like it would be an improvement.
For awhile, Aoyama is featured prominently that I would understand if people thought he was going to be a prominent character. While this boils down to lack of foresight (in the beginning you don't really know who you should pay attention to), it will be a small change.
Instead of all those Aoyama scenes, we'll have Uraraka take them over. In these scenes Uraraka should be shown saving others. This is to give the audience a hint at her ambition to become a rescue hero and her selfless nature.
Episode Five: What I Can Do For Now
This is where the changes really begin.
There are no notable changes at first, Iida properly introduces himself to Midoriya and Uraraka shows up excited that Midoriya got in. We have our cute Izuchaco moment.
Aizawa gives his iconic introduction, and everyone is outside ready for the quirk apprehension exam.
Our next change comes to the fact that Aizawa is fully aware of All Might watching. I think this is canon, but I want Aizawa to dwell on why the top hero like All Might is interested in a simple quirk apprehension test.
The next change is minor, but the Aoyama scene here is replaced with an Asui scene. In canon she is partnered with Iida in the fifty meter dash. Asui clears the fifty meter with a single leap. Iida still beats her with his quirk, but he is rather impressed by her display of jumping power.
At the ball throw, Aizawa is surprised when Midoriya recognizes him as despite being well known in the underground he is still an underground hero with no publicity.
Then, I incorporate the trauma Midoriya 100% has from being isolated from his peers and being treated unfairly by his teachers.
Aizawa criticizes him, but this time Midoriya gets a flashback to a faceless teacher criticizing him for antagonizing a star student like Bakugou. Midoriya starts to tremble, and Aizawa instantly stops. He recognizes the signs of a panic attack, and All Might's stressed out body language.
Aizawa, as the experienced teacher he is, changes his tactics instantly. While still blunt, his tone is softer when he explains that Midoriya needs to learn quickly that destroying his body all the time is only going to make him a liability and end his hero career earlier than it should.
Midoriya, now able to refocus with a new hope that if he takes Aizawa's advice he will listen to him in the future regarding other problems. Midoriya does his one finger throw. Aizawa is impressed with the creativity and notes All Might's surprise as well.
Episode Six: Rage You Damn Nerd
Uraraka and Iida are thrilled that Midoriya has seems to have Aizawa's approval. Bakugou then rushes Midoriya like he does in canon. When Aizawa wraps his scarves around Bakugou, he remarks that Bakugou will get detention for unsanctioned quirk use.
Both Midoriya and Bakugou are surprised, which unnerves Aizawa as he pulls Bakugou back. Aizawa then reveals the ranking with Mineta in last place this time. He says Midoriya got ahead with points for creativity. He reveals the logical ruse he employed, then leaves with Yaoyorozu remarking she already knew.
As another minor changes I want the girls in Class 1-A to be amazed with Yaoyorozu's placement. I also want Bakugou to attack Yaoyorozu out of no where because he believes she is another bug he can simply crush. Yaoyorozu disproves this as she quickly makes a shield to protect herself.
Aizawa gives Bakugou another detention leaving Bakugou and Midoriya confused once again.
(Full Admission: I wanted a cool Yaoyorozu moment to cement her as the most powerful student in 1-A).
Aizawa writes Midoriya an absentee note so he can see Recovery Girl about his finger. As Aizawa leaves he is confronted by All Might who calls his bluff on having an expulsion record. Aizawa says that the quick thinking of Midoriya was what kept him in Aizawa's class. Aizawa then criticizes All Might for already having favorites as he noticed the number one hero's interest in Midoriya. All Might panics that Aizawa has figured out the connection already, but Aizawa just tells All Might that playing favorites causes bitterness among other students.
Everything is the same with Iida and Uraraka catching up with Midoriya and the three walking home together. 1-A then goes through the day until fundamental hero lessons. Everyone has their original costumes as the support course hasn't been introduced yet.
Everything goes like normal.
Episode Eight: Bakugou's Start Line
As soon as Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, and Bakugou come out Aizawa's scarves come out to wrap around Bakugou. 1-A and All Might are surprised at Aizawa's sudden appearance. Aizawa says he is going to expell Bakugou on the grounds of assaulting another classmate with the intention of severely harming them. All Might stops this, admitting that he should have stopped the fight when Bakugou was gearing up his gauntlets.
Aizawa takes a deep breath, and says that Bakugou is able to stay in the hero class for another day but will be suspended, no longer having a seat near Midoriya, and will have his gauntlets revoked until Aizawa says differently. Aizawa drags Bakugou away to fill out the proper paperwork.
The other teams do the exercise as normal, and Yaoyorozu files a formal complaint regarding Mineta. At the end of the day, Midoriya does not tell Bakugou the secret of One for All. Instead, Midoriya watches Bakugou walk away for his first day of suspension surrounded by Iida and Uraraka chatting about the excercise. Midoriya does the ending internal monologue about how he learned the difference between friends and torments.
With these changes, I would rename the title of the episode to The Line Drawn. In a reference to the fact that UA and Aizawa will not put up with Bakugou's bs like his former schools.
Episode Nine: Yeah, Just Do Your Best Iida
Now it is time for our first rapid fire changes.
It is the first day without Bakugou in class, which means the USJ Arc will not include Bakugou at any point in the story.
Todoroki and Bakugou's seats have been switched, so it is time for some awkward conversations between TodoDeku.
Iida tells Uraraka and Midoriya that Aizawa and his brother were school friends so he tries his best to remain professional.
Yaoyorozu is class repersentative, while Midoriya is the class vice repersentative. After Iida calms the school down, Midoriya intends for Iida to take his position. Yaoyorozu is concerned she did not handle the situation as good as Iida, and Iida takes the class repersentative role with Yaoyorozu as his vice. This will start Yaoyorozu's confidence issues.
Since Bakugou is not on the bus, this scene is dedicated to Uraraka who is excited to have Thirteen teaching them. Uraraka says she is a huge fan of Thirteen, and hopes to get an autograph afterwards if she has the time. She also reveals her motivation to become a rescue hero.
Thirteen is agender.
Uraraka fangirls while Thirteen is talking.
Episode Ten: Encounter With the Unknown
Aizawa does not hesitate to leap into action when the villians show up, and shows off his amazing abilities as a pro hero. He shows off the abilities of the capture weapon.
Thirteen is ready to evacuate the students, but Kurogiri warps over like he does in canon, and this time it is Kirishima and Mina who attack him without hesitation. This is to cement Mina as the most muscular of the other girls, and her and Kirishima's role in each other's lives. The attack didn't do anything when Kurogiri warps the other students away from each other.
Everything continues as normal.
In Summary of the Student's Locations:
The Entrance: Uraraka & Sero & Iida & Sato
Ruins Zone: Kirishima & Mina
Flood Zone: Asui & Mineta & Midoriya
Mountain Zone: Kaminari & Jirou & Yaoyorozu
Fire Zone: Ojiro & Hagakure
Landslide Zone: Todoroki
Squall Zone: Tokoyami & Shoji & Koda
As Hagakure joins Ojiro in the Fire Zone, she uses the flames as a source of light to reflect. Once she blinds the villains, Ojiro takes them down.
As Mina joins Kirishima in the Ruins Zone, she uses her acid as a way to trip up villains and uses her reflexes and dance moves to annihilate the chameleon villian Bakugou originally did.
As Shoji joins Tokoyami and Koda in the Squall Zone, he uses his quirk to locate Koda so Tokoyami can protect him.
Everything continues as normal as all the teachers show up to finish off the League of Villains. All the teachers get their moment.
Episode Thirteen: In Each of Their Hearts
After our neighborhood detective reassures all the students and we get the cool still shots with the gold lighting it is time for what I was preparing this whole time for.
Aizawa calls All Might and Midoriya to his hospital room and lays down that he has figured out that the two are connected somehow by their quirks.
All Might and Midoriya are shocked, but considering they are backed into a corner they tell Aizawa about One for All. After Aizawa chews All Might out for not telling him that one of his students only recently got a quirk, he says he'll have to give Midoriya extra lessons so his body is strong enough to handle One for All. Aizawa also puts together that if Midoriya didn't have a quirk before than that means he was quirkless. Suddenly, everything makes sense to Aizawa about the BakuDeku relationship.
The final small change is the next day at lunch, Uraraka brings Asui over to Midoriya and Iida. She wants to thank Midoriya for his quick thinking, and says that she and Uraraka bonded over wanting to be Rescue Heroes.
Summary of the Changes
Bakugou realizes he isn't the best anymore, and starts to face consequences for his actions.
Aizawa knows about One for All, and Midoriya has two father figures in his corner now.
The Girls of 1-A get more screentime to show off their potential to be heroes.
The Background characters get some extra scenes to show off their potential to be heroes.
Uraraka gets prominent character moments.
A good chunk of the class is biracial.
Changes That Didn't Make It
Aizawa Backstory moment where Aizawa would erase Kurogiri's quirk only to be freaked out by a familiar bone structure taking form.
Jeez, that was brutal for my fingers, but that is how I would have wrote the first season of My Hero Academia. I plan on continuing, but I think I'll be splitting posts up into arcs now because doing a whole season was a bit too much at once.
Plus, there are a lot of changes I'll be making with the Sports Festival Arc.
