Cookie Run (Simp Reader AU - in which we got a thing for Pure Vanilla Cookie....)

You were a simp.

Dote.

That was it.

No joke, you were a simp.

A terrible, terrible simp cookie who was lucky their name was Reader Cookie (yes, R. E. A. D. E. R. As in reading a book) and not a Simp Cookie. Oh Witches, imagine how awful it would be when someone just called you, "Hey, Simp Cookie! Who are you simping for today?"

Dear Witches. You were so glad your parents named you something else. Even though you were not a bookworm.

Then, one day, when your nameless village once again was attacked by a horde of cake hounds, you were tending one of the injured villagers when for the first time in your life, you met an angel.

He came with a worried frown and in rags. Not really an attire for an angel, but eh, his cute face and attitude covered for it. It wasn't actually love at first sight, per say, but you totally descended to him when he first showed his extraordinary talents in healing. He called himself as Healer Cookie.

Okay, you admitted, you loved his magic. At first.

You tried to get close to him to see what else he could do. What can he bring more to the village. What he could offer. You both got closer together, closer and closer every time you visited him and every time he greeted you with a heartwarming smile.

Then, that very same smile attracted you more than his magic did.

To be honest, you didn't know how you could fall for that charming smile. Why did you see it as charming anyway? His face was half bandages and you didn't even know his eye's colour for the Witches' sake!

(You imagine his eyes will be as warm as his smile—Reader Cookie, no.)

But dang it. You can't control your beating heart. You can't control redness on your cheeks. You can't even control how to act properly with him like a cool cookie! Even that Gingerbrave fella acted cooler than you. And he was a cookie with the simplest design you had ever met! (Sorry)

You only realized you had fallen for him when you tried to be on par in him. Not in magic, since you sucked at it, but on strength. Black Raisin had always complimented you for having one of the fastest reactions and strengths in the village, despite having a name like Reader Cookie.

But you... you never see it as something great. All you ever see was a better chance of surviving. Because you lived in a nameless village, filled with cookies who had been trying to survive after the Dark Flour War. Black Raisin was one of the greatest warriors in your village, better than you. But even she used to have two arms.

You thought Healer Cookie would be like you, hiding in the village and only come out to heal. But he wasn't like that. He was better. Way better than you would ever be.

He fought against cake hounds bravely. He never complained when he healed more than ten cookies in one go, even when he looked closer to crumbling himself. He prioritised other, unlike you.

Seeing him like that...it stirred something in your dough.

You wanted to be someone who was in equal as him.

So you joined Black Raisin in her daily training. She seemed surprised, but welcomed you with a huge grin. It was hard since you got to balanced it with your gardening activity while keeping out from cake hound, but it was fine.

Slowly, confidence built up inside you. You felt healthier, energetic, and kept up on a positive vibe. You also felt confident in life. Many cookies, including Black Raisin had been praising for your change in attitude. You were rather shy, but you glad you did.

You nearly forgot the first reason you changed if Healer didn't come over and praised you too.

(That day, the whole village witnessed your entire countenance turned strawberry red. More than Strawberry Cookie herself)

Oh, Witches, he was praising you! He said he was glad to see you happier and more healthy! Oh, Witches, you nearly crumble to the ground by his smile alone. Forgot about Black Raisin's tiring training and your garden, his smile alone was deadly enough!

His praise added a lot to your confidence. With that confidence, you agreed to join Black Raisin's scout to scout the forest.

Perhaps that was what made you agree to join Gingerbrave in his adventure. That, and because you heard Healer was going too.

Eventually, the whole gang learned Healer Cookie was the assumed dead Ancient Hero — Pure Vanilla Cookie.

Holy Witches.

Hey, at least you were simping for a cookie that many people had been simping for. From what Wizard Cookie once mentioned (how he even knew this?), Pure Vanilla was one of the Ancient Heroes with the biggest fan club (no wonder Healer froze when Wizard told them, poor guy)

(Wait, did that mean you had a whole club as rival?)

("Whose the other Ancient Heroes with the biggest fan club?" Gingerbrave asked the Wizard Cookie.

"....Dark Cacao."

Anyway, Healer was Pure Vanilla all along. It wasn't like he did that on purpose. Guy got amnesia for the Witches' sake. And now Dark Enchantress also revived, a cookie with daddy's issue joined her group along with other crazy looking cookies and you starting to simp on Pure Vanilla harder after seeing him in his proper king attire.

Because Holy dough.

He looked great in those.

That hat...those porcelain robes fits him perfectly. If his attitude was what made him an angel, now seeing him with the royal garb and his eyes open (two colours, he had two colours eyes) he looked like an archangel.

He could kill you with his staff, and you would thank him.

He was cute, and charming, and beautiful—

"Stop simping, Reader, and help me over here!" Wizard yelled, barely able to push back a cream wolf.

"Ah—," you snapped out of your thought. Dang it. You had been simping again.

With red tainted cheeks, you charged towards the canine that had been aiming your friend and cut them with your sword. The battle ends when you hear Gingerbrave's victorious cheer. Wizard sighed, shook his head, and clicked his tongue underneath his scarf.

"Seriously, Reader? He isn't even with us!"

You huffed, arms crossed. "He may not, but his smile," you placed a hand on your chest, "forever remain in my heart."

Wizard gave you a disgusted look. Strawberry sighed and Gingerbrave laughed at the usual demeanour.

I mean, who can blame you?

After all, Pure Vanilla had one of the biggest fan club in the Earthbread.

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.

I always wondered why they don't nickname Chilchuck to "Chil". Because Chilchuck is quite a long name, it's way easier calling him just Chil. And then this.

It's all the opposite of how it would normally work. Usually, people call each other by their first (or second sometimes) names, but when they're called by the full thing... it means either nothing good is happening, or they're being called in a formal way.

Isn't imposible to think that the party actually called him Chil, since it's his first name and a nice nickname for him. In fact, they probably did, and Chilchuck told them they shouldn't call him that and explained why. They stopped calling him Chil, and accepted calling him Chilchuck for the rest of their lifes, apparently. Actually, we don't see anybody calling him like that until...

Laios tries to get his attention with something that normally would. Calling him his first name, something that he told them specifically not to do doesn't even makes him flinch. And then he's sure that Chilchuck is out of it and proceeds to intervene.

It's such a subtle detail, I don't remember if they call him "Chil" on other panels, if they do, reblog with evidence so we have all the oficial Chil moments here.

Bearded Vulture Eglazine is Missing

Eglazine was born at Parco Natura Viva in Italy in 2020 and released in the wild later that year in the French Massiv Central. Since then she flew all around France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.

As of May 2023 her GPS has stopped sending signals and we have no information on her status. Her last know position was in Normandy. Neither her or the tag have been found. This is a call to all vulture lovers, birdwatchers and photographers to keep an eye out for her and help search for Eglazine.

But HOW Do I recognize Eglazine?

Eglazine is currently in her sub-adult phase, which means she is transitionig her plumage. Black head with some possible white feathers starting to show up, gray-brown body plumage, on her wings she had 3 bleached feathers as of her last sight but more could be present now, she has a PVC ring argent color with the code ET.

If you happen to find a Bearded Vulture that seems to possibly be Eglazine please share informations and photos to the Vulture Conservation Foundation at [email protected]

Best case scenario she just lost her GPS Tracker while molting her feathers, in the worst case scenario...

hi again, im gonna link the KOSA masterpost and try and get the kosa tag to go on trending, we need more people to talk about how dangerous KOSA is and can affect all of us. If we can get the tiktok ban tag to trend, so we can with the stop kosa tag.

(Which again it won't, we need to keep speaking up about it.)

basically my standards for gay/trans media these days are that it has to be something i'd still enjoy even if none of the characters were gay or trans. bc otherwise the whole thing is a waste of my fucking time. in 2012 i was so starved for gay representation that i'd consume anything that so much as mentioned queerness just to feel less alone but that's not the world we live in anymore and i don't want to go back to that world and i would be miserable continuing to pretend that gayness is the pinnacle of good writing in 2023 it feels so.... gross. i like being spoiled with a rapturous amount of gay content to choose from and plenty of the gay content i DON'T like is beloved by other queer people and i don't have to love every gay narrative or pretend to. so i'm no longer touching any shit that doesn't do the kind of cool storytelling that compels me. i did my years in the trenches.

#unlikely to ever finish aftg partially for this and partially bc i really only wanted to participate in fandom and #my experiences with the fandom and its discourse put me off it like. yeah actually i dont want to be involved with any of this #eta: please don't tag this post q slur. i'd rather you simply didn't reblog it.
