ANYWAY driving home rn is making me think of the frosts on a road trip and here's some IMPORTANT THINGS FOR CS STANS TO KNOW
Winter is the driver
She drives with the windows down, hair flying, shades on rain or shine
Blaise LOVES being the passenger
He is so chill. He leans back, has his shades, is navigating, he's living the life
Eggs on Winter when she gets pissy at bad drivers
Fiera in the back: RAM THEM
Jacqueline in the back back: YEAH RAM EM
Fiera listens to music and chills in car rides. This surprises everyone, Fiera included
Fino plays animal crossing in the car
He shares an island with Jacqueline!
I think I am going to curse Jacquie with my motion sickness
Unless she takes fae gravol she's having a Bad Time
BUT if she sits in the very front she's good and is mistro of the music
(that's why Fiera has her own music, she also Does What She Wants)
JACK. I think he avoids road trips with the fam but when he is with them he will steal Fiera or Fino's middle seat and banish them to the back bc OLDEST RULES
They make a fuss but don't mind! If both twins are back there it's a fucking party seat
(also there's six of them so they do indeed need like a van)
Anyway Jack and Blaise chat the entire time. ENTIRE TIME
They're just like yap yap yap yap yap
And everyone is like "y'all are too much"
And then Jack takes over the aux/faetooth and he and Blaise sing along to EVERYTHING, top of their lungs
Their rendition of Carol of the Bells is impressive!

the older i get and the closer i am to reaching 30, the more the people around me try to deny me my age. it’s a constant ‘oh you’re just turning 29 again teehee 🤭’ or ‘dont tell your SO that, he’ll leave you for a younger model 😉’ and i just???? hate it?????????
i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.
so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.

Little Big Changes ✂️~
———
CONTEXT~~
A long forgotten short comic I did for pre-totk/post-botw domestic zelink
I love Zel’s hair symbolism especially after altering her status as a “princess”and becoming a Hateno grade school teacher. She’d most likely still maintain some insecurities but that’s what our lovely knight was made for <3
Semi-connected to my previous Signing Link headcanon, Link speaks here for the first time post-Calamity and gets super self-conscious. But of course Zelda doesn’t mind and is happy that Link growing more comfortable after the events of breath of the wild

The Creator's Guide to Comics Devices is OPEN!!!
comicsdevices.com
An online library of visual-narrative devices that are used in the medium of comics and other sequential art.
Happy Halloween! I'm really excited to be finally launching* what is maybe one of my most ambitious, largest work yet.
This online library is the next phase of a research project that began in May 2020, when I first mused on how comics as a field doesn't have a resource that catalogues devices used in the medium. Like, theatre has devices, so does literature, and film! So why shouldn't comics?
I always had an interest in comics studies and analysis. I love reading, making and thinking comics. However most of my knowledge was intuitive - I learned comics from osmosis and experience. This is true for many of my peers. Speaking about comics as a creator is hard, because we don't have a robust system of language. When we had to speak, many of us tend to reach for the language developed for film by film practitioners. If there is language specific to comics, it's either scattered in multiple blogs or hidden away in academic journals.
The Comics Devices library is meant to aggregate everything and everybody into a single hub! After exploring some multiple resources, alongside some original, independent research, here is the first edition!
* The Comics Devices project is still a work-in-progress! It's not final, nor will it ever be. This is why I am seeking contributors to help build this library. Translations, comics examples, etc. There is a lot of work to do! If you are interested, reply to this post or submit an expression of interest on this page.
Have fun everyone!!
(Now time for me to melt x_x)
