This was in 2013

Back in 2013 I was still in my denial phase. See when I was a kid, being gay was just an extremely common insult & any gay representing I saw in media was usually just "gay people are so fucking weird haha" & I was....

I was very insistent that I was straight. Like because I was conditioned to associate being gay as being a loser who gets bullied.

I wish I had watched this show back in the day.

I really did need a wake up call at that age.

But from what I see, this show clearly helped a lot of queer folk during a time where gay people weren't exactly being given the best treatment.

Not that we aren't targeted today but it was definitely way less common to see Lgbtq+ stuff in mainstream media. And I'm so glad that this show helped so many of you.

I think if I had watched this show back then, maybe 13 year old Daniel might have made better choices. But I'm glad I saw it now.

ok so

1. i mentioned about having medical issues and some people got concerned so i just want to quickly explain the thing yk; in short it turns out having anxiety can cause heart arrhythmia ????? which can be like kinda dangerous;; but like in most cases it's fairly harmless so i should be alright :] !! still have to go check it out at the hospital (which i have been sorta putting off for a while bc yk. anxiety,, lol) but like other than it stressing me out a bit, everything is relatively fine :]

2. school is kicking my ass rn 💀 have a lot of unfinished work and missed a ton of classes bc my mental health kinda sucks,, so yk it's not exactly going great lol. but uhhhhhhhhhh im sure I'll figure it out ? ig ?? ye.

3. got a small art block. well it's more like "i have so much work to do, how dare i draw at a time like this" (and then just go to sleep bc im soo stressed and overwhelmed about everything 💀) but like. I'll probably get over it soon 🤷

idk i also just feel super obligated to always post super high effort paintings if i have many followers yk? like alot of the time i just feel like my drawings aren't good enough and everyone will like despise me for it;; and idk ig i just need constant approval for everything i do for some reason sjdhjshd. ik it's like. a really inaccurate and terrible way to look at it but i just can't rlly help it;;

4. i would like to formally apologize for barely responding to literally anything. like. im so sorry dudes;;;;;;; unfortunately i have. very intense social anxiety and literally do not respond to anyone ever. (/srs it's like. a genuine issue in my life. whoops) but like i feel super bad about it bc i don't want to seem like i don't care T_T cuz lik e. i literally read every comment, message, tag, etc. and they always make me so so so happy ;;;;; like i routinely show screencaps of random comment to my friends gush about how nice they are 💀 idk point being; im a loser, i love all of you and it blows my mind that anyone cares about my silly drawings for a p much dead fandom lol.

Im gonna section this off because I wanna say it’s been like a good 1-2 years since i’ve like just infodumped as a whole

Basic Information

His name is Casper O’riley he is a trans man and he is currently 17 years of age and attends the local high school and works at a down town book store, occasionally over the summer or over breaks he’ll work at the board walk to make some extra cash, his family consists of his father, mother, and baby sister Nyneve

His hair is red and curly similar to his mother and he has partial Albinism which runs in their family, the Albinism consists of his face and hands mainly his fingertips, the Albinism spreads up from his cheek over his eyes and into his hair making part of it pale as well as his tanned skin.

He is autistic and has Kleptomania syndrome which sometimes effects his everyday life, he can shift through three main points of verbal standards those three being selective mute, verbal, or overly verbal which shifts with overstimulation, under stimulation, and mood (like me).

His interests range mutually from Horror games/movies/media to music and art he has similar music taste to me such as: The Garden, Radiohead, Alex G, Mitski, Tyler The Creator and Sweet. (i wanna say the current year is around 2013-2014 just for accessibility)

Background Info

Casper started off as boardwalk buddy that sorta stuck with the group, the introduction wasn’t the best as when they first met Chris had called Casper a girl resulting into a very angry 6 year old right hooking Chris in the jaw, along with a very loud “I’m not a girl!” From Casper who was very upset

Chris went crying to his mom with a black eye and face full of tears with a very guilty but still fuming Casper trailing behind him to say sorry

After that It was really just history, took that kid a good 2 weeks of hanging out with the family to realize they were vampires, did he know exactly? No, 6 year old Casper had other things to worry about then knowing what exactly his friend was but as time grew he did come to realize his best friend was a vampire.

Extra/current

Casper didn’t really care that Chris was a vampire that ate people, I mean he can’t hate Chris from being born that way and he definitely cannot hate him for what he has to eat. I mean everything alive has to eat, it would be unfair and hypocritical to hate Chris for sucking on human blood, he can’t really control that can he? No.

Now I did say he was Chris’s “boyfriend” but it’s more like… Chris has a big fat crush on Casper and Casper is too oblivious to know as he’s busy with school, work, and being a stupid teenager

He mostly occasionally flirts Casper just to get hit with the good ol’

“Hey that’s cute and all but your fly’s down”

“LMAO you look dumb doing that”(affectionately of course)

So uh I haven’t posted in a hot sec huh-

Imma be real here I have no art to post cus my most recent ones are wips or sketches but I do live

Still dealing with art block digital art wise, but I have a few plans for digital art that are both a cool lil drawing of one of my characters and the other being a concept drawing for my OmenTale grillby sycamore! I’m not gonna share the sketch here cus 1 I’m too lazy to put my watermark on it and 2 I don’t feel like it (also as I type this my iPad is on its last legs of battery-)

Also my not drawing was certainly not helped by my fucking stomach bug that knocked me on my ass for an entire week that I JUST got over the symptoms for (Twas, not fun-)

But I do live, and I’m being very silly goofy over both Lycus and calamity (both whom I’ve shown here before) rn cus like yesterday I found a cool song that fit calamity if she was in love and that sparked the start of an art piece that I’m loving rn (still wip ofc) and today after hearing epic the musical will be dropping the ocean saga on the 25th of December I went down a mini rabbit hole of listening to what parts were given and found the underworld snippet then dropped everything giggled an audible gremlin giggle kicked my feet and sprinted to the info dump channel in the friends rp server I run just to brainrot over this

and it seemed like no matter what you did, things wouldn’t change.

it was on your mind 24/7, even thinking about it during outings with zen.

you two would walk around the city, visit public gardens, sightsee in the countryside.

but all to no avail.

you couldn’t help but kick yourself down constantly, wondering why you were lacking inspiration.

had it been something you did before? or perhaps you’re becoming brunt out?

the possibilities were endless, but they all didn’t feel accurate.

you loved making art your entire life.

it had been your dream for ages.

so why was this happening?

your inner frustration was coming to a visible point, as zen noticed and questioned you about it one day.

he had taken you out to the place he always went whenever he was struggling.

the place in the mountains many people neglected to visit.

such a shame really, as the area was blessed with comfort and positivity.

he figured to take you here after taking a notice of your feelings since the morning.

leading him to quickly change that day’s plan from the statues downtown to his safe space.

it wasn’t until you two arrived to the destination that he finally questioned you about it.

ever so sweetly, as to not discomfort you, said “are you okay? i can tell something’s bothering you”.

you were too caught up in your own mind and disapointment to realize that your emotions started to reflect in your expressions.

hence why his question caught you off guard.

the last thing you wanted to do right now was worry him, yet clearly it was already too late.

with your silence continuing, he added onto his previous questions.

“you know you can talk to me, i hate seeing you in distress”.

there was no use in lying and saying you were okay, you were already too far gone for that.

taking a breath, you respond saying “i can’t find any inspiration for my art”.

quickly looking up to meet his eyes, hoping to see a sign of approval, you continue “it’s.. so exhausting and frustrating to be so lost when trying to pursue my passion”.

you examined zen’s expressions as he looked down from the fence the two of you were standing at, his face radiating with sympathy.

looking up to meet you with a smile, he said “i understand. i’ve reached many points like that in my career so far, but”.

he takes a breath to straighten his shirt, continuing “it all get’s better soon.”

realizing that the words he had just spoken wouldn’t actually impact you, he rushes to rephrase his sentence.

“i mean, it’s easier than it sounds. but there’s inspiration in everything. in your old artwork, in the words we speak, in societal beliefs, in our hearts deepest desires, this list goes on”.

he got you thinking, but he hadn’t finished yet.

you weren’t paying much attention at this point if you were honest.

processing his words took up most of your brain power in the moment.

making a mental note of following his advice for later, you decided to redirect your attention back to him for a quick second instead of letting his words become background noise.

you heard “but i’ll always be there to help you, please remember that. i want you to become successful in your dreams. i know you have the inspiration in you”.

you were at a lost for words.

quite frankly, part of you wanted to break down then and there.

you had been so overwhelmingly stressed and exhausted for so long and to finally hear some good advice made you feel as if god had come to save you.

as if to thank him for his efforts, you embraced him, looking down over the city as the birds passed by in several forms.

yet during all of this, you managed to muster out a “thank you”.

and while you couldn’t see it, you could feel a smile creeping up on his face when the movements transferred from his face to your cheek.

you didn’t know how much time passed, you could only assume it had been an hour or so.

although there was little conversation being made from time to time, the majority was spent basking in each others bliss.

although your art block wasn’t solved immediately, it was enough for you to have regained your hope.

motivating you to push forward.

I have no idea what I’m supposed to put in this, but! My name is Spencer (at least that’s the one I’m trying out rn, but it’s comfy I like it) and I use he/him pronouns. I’m 5’10ish & I currently have black hair that I dye from time to time (probably going to dye it red next). My hair is like...a little past the top of my ears, but it’s an undercut (think Kenma with black hair ig). I have really thin brown eyes (a lot of people think I’m Asian I’m not lol they’re just hooded). I’m not exactly built thin but that’s something I’m ✨insecure✨ about so we’re not gonna get into that lol

Personality wise,,,idk I’m 90% self-deprecating and the other 10% is sarcasm. I’d like to think I’m a pretty creative person although I’m extremely logical. Creativity is more for fun vs logical on a day-to-day basis if that makes sense?

I used to be really athletic but I started doing other things and since then that’s kinda dwindled away. However lately I’ve been trying to kick ✨depression✨ in the ass and get back into being athletic and stuff. I’m learning how to box and a few friends and I want to take up volleyball when it gets warmer. I used to be a soccer player though and I want to start doing that again, too.

A lot of people tell me I’m musically talented. I like to think I am on a good day, I guess (I’m bad about describing myself lol sorry). But I play a little piano and ukulele but I play guitar & sing mostly.

Even though I try not to be I’m super competitive and legit subconsciously turn everything into a competition, but I try to stay lighthearted about it. Even though I come off cold to people when I meet them (RBF + introvert yikes) I really care about my friends and wear my heart on my sleeve even though I try not to show it.

first off, your writing is yours, and - especially in fic - there isn't necessarily a type of 'good' writing, just different skill sets! for instance, i find that my weak point is dialogue, while im great at worldbuilding + emotions. another writer might be the opposite, but it doesn't mean my writing is 'bad' and theirs is 'good' or the reverse, simply that we have different strengths! as you grow as a writer, you will find your strengths and learn to grow them, and your weak points! there is truly no standard, so don't put yourself down!!

moving on to more advice however - (EDIT: theres a tldr at the bottom because sorry, i rambled a bit!!)

1. write. it doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter when, it doesn't matter how! I have written fics on sticky notes in the middle of class (whiskey peak chapter of esom) on discord in the span of a few hours (make a choice (turncoat hero)) and in my notes apps (the ace/yamato fic i posted)!! if you learn to write anywhere you please, this will keep ideas from leaving your mind, and allow you to get into the zone that there doesn't have to be a set time to write!

2. length never matters for a fic. If 100 words is all it takes to write what you want to write, then 100 words is all it takes! don't let the general adoration for long fics to scare you off from writing, and write what you're comfortable with. I know writers who only write chapter fics, and writers who will only write one shots (then there's me, who tries to do both at once lol.)

3. when i am lost with the plot of a fic, the first thing i do is draft an outline of what i want to happen next. this is just a simple bullet point outline, in the general fashion of, say

- luffy gets a different hat post pirate king

- monkey steals hat

- luffy calls for zoro

- zoro sleeping?? sanji kicks him then fight

- the monkey is revealed as the red haired pirates monkey

- shanks shows up "miss me anchor?" party time

brief, follows a simple set of actions, perhaps one or two lines that i thought of while writing, and gives me a skeleton to follow so that when i lose myself in a fic i know where i can go next. Some people find it useful to do this at the beginning with a super detailed plot, and others never write a outline at all! it depends again on how you grow as a writer, so don't be afraid to try different things out when you approach a fic

4. stuck on a part? writer block? can't focus? get up drink a glass of water, and get back to writing! i find this helps me get refocused on writing when i am stuck, a little body 'wake up' as you will.

5. never EVER delete a scene from a fic. never. NEVER. move that scene to another doc, put it in a 'scrapped writing' folder, idc, but never delete it entirely. it helps you grow as a writer, and you can always put the scene back/reword it, etc. i cannot count on my hands how many times i have reworked a previously scrapped portion of a fic and came out the better for it!

6. having multiple wips is okay!! celebrate it even!! i always have at least five docs for five separate fics up on my computer at all times so i can shuffle between them when writing and write what im inspire for in that moment. its okay if you never make headway on one of them, as long as the ideas keep flowing

7. want to get something out quick? word wars are your friend - set a timer for 15 minutes, and write as many words as you can. this is especially fun if you have someone doing it with you, so you can compare counts at the end and share your story!!

8. writing, like all art, takes time. and, generally, there is a chance you will write faster when you first set out to write then you will later, because later, you will be more conscious of your word choices and be more deliberate and careful in your plot, rather than just churning out works. It's okay if you don't churn out 5k a day - writing is not an obligation!

9. have. fun. im serious! write what you want to write, even if it seems no one will love it or like it or want to read it - write what brings you joy, what makes you smile, even if it's something that's been done a thousand times before!! this is what fic is, for your own personal enjoyment. Additionally, do not be discouraged if there's a low amount of reviews for something you put your heart and soul. it sucks ass, yes, (i have a couple fics i love which have only gotten like, a quarter of attention of some of my other fics) but ultimately, the idea you wrote down is one you want to see in the world!! it doesn't quite matter what anyone else likes.

10. grammarly, word counter, word, etc - anything with a spellcheck is your best friend, and will generally catch things you miss if you cant find someone to proofread for you. additionally, if you want to be more critical of your fic, look for friends tto give constructive critcism, but know that you absolutely do not have to accept it from any stranger online unless you asked specifically for it.

11. fanon is fanon and popular headcanons are popular headcanons and both are absolutely not canon. you do NOT have to follow it if you do not want to.

12. read!!! i read a lot of fic, a lot of published books, and each has something i really enjoy and apply to my own fics.

13. to reiterate again just... write. write and write and write. i have over 300k posted to ao3 rn, and more in my docs. you will not improve your writing to any standard that you set for yourself unless you write!! always practice!! learn from your mistakes!! grow!!! you will improve with time, i promise, just go out and write what makes you happy anon!!

tl;dr have fun, write a lot wherever and whenever, and write for yourself before anyone else. you will improve with time as a writer the more you practice, and it doesn't ever matter how long your work is.

I am so nervous to see what’s in this episode.. what if Klara kicks Ludde off the team because of his injury? We know they have scenes together this season. What if she thinks he would cost her money or is a liability? 🤔

1. Felicia’s saved name for Jack in her phone… sis why don’t you block his number??? Same as when she went off on Ludde in s2 about him liking her pics, girl BLOCK HIM!

2. Ludde just straight up said he’s quitting hockey… I didn’t expect it to end this way, clearly from my note above. I’m glad to see his friends being supportive and in a different light than they usually are. Aw this is sad lol

15. What if when Michael found out Petra was still in love with Mats, Michael left? Felt like he couldn’t compete or whatever? If I was Petra, I would be probably in the mood to whoop Michael’s ass right about now. Amie is not letting Petra explain anything. She just knows her as being over protective so it “has to make sense”. But baby girl, how did he even get your phone number??? Let’s start there.

16. Alva with this acting sis goo head girl!! This break up is so laughable though 😭 Ludde is breaking up with Felicia like he done found some coke she hid behind their picture frame or something?? He can’t communicate for SHIT! I guess Felicia was suppose to be some kind of mind reader?? This is just ridiculous 🤦🏾‍♀️.

17. Oh this arrogant prick. The jealously of this guy right now. I swear if they don’t let Elias put actual hands on him, there will be a problem. This has to happen especially to someone deserving. Elias is walking around with pink eye and this dude is looking like this? Jack is the roach that gave birth to a jack roach army that name brand raid just can’t get rid of. i am tired of seeing him

But let’s be serious about what this asswipe is about to do. He is about to let the flood gates open. And this isn’t just about Felicia or Elias, the whole family. So we could possibly find out about Mats and Jack’s dad. Wild theory, the woman Felicia saw her dad with could possibly be Jack’s mother? The woman was said to be Leila’s bff so idk. *In hushed voices *

"Team Gama, have you completed the task?"

*through the intercom*

" Yessir, we have removed all the enemy's weapons. "

" Good. Now stay at the back and terminate any enemy fleeing from the front. We'll now attack."

"Actually I would like to send the rest of team gama to help at the front. The two of us can surely handle here."

"Fine then. I know I don't need to worry bout you two." the squad leader replies without hesitation.

" Roger that!"

The squad leader puts down their walkie talkie.

"Team Beta, ready??"

"Yessir!!"

"Okay 1, 2.....and 3!!!"

BOOOMM!!!

The sound of a grenade is followed by the sound of people screaming and panicking. It signified that now the enemies were alert.

"THROW THE SMOKE GRENADES!!!"

A wave of grenades land on the enemy's territory. The grenades start emitting smokes blocking the enemy's view of the troops invading.

The squad leader signals the troops to move forward with their hands.

Everyone quickly marches towards the fog determined to kill and not to get killed. Soon the sound of guns being fired fills the silence of the night. The air is now tainted with the smell of blood and gunpowder.

A panicking man comes running out of a door only to be greeted with smoke and zero visibility. He sees a flash of purple sweep through the smoke and the next thing he knows, he couldn't breathe. He slowly moves his hands down towards his abdomen which feels abnormally warm. When he lifts his hand again, he sees his hands are tainted with blood and soon his head touches the ground.

The girl with purple locks takes out her walkie talkie as she walks past the corpse.

"Block one cleared. The enemies are escaping from the back. Team Gama take action."

"Roger that."

" I think the squad leader needs to be more aware of her surroundings." The red-haired boy winks at Uena.

"That's why you always have my back." She winks back at him.

"Block one cleared. The enemies are escaping from the back. Team Gama take action."

"Roger that." The black-haired girl with a pixie cut puts down her walkie talkie. "Ok bitch this time I'm gonna win for sure. Mark my words."

"We'll see." The blonde girl raises an eyebrow and starts moving ahead as she lifts her rifle near her chest.

A man comes running from behind a building but soon sees the two and tries running back. The blonde places her finger on the trigger, ready to shoot.

"BANGGGG!!!"

The man's body falls lifelessly on the ground. A pool of red slowly surrounding him. The girl with blonde hair realises that she hasn't pushed on the trigger yet.

"Too late sweetie. Gotta speed up or you gonna get killed at this rate." The girl with a pixie haircut blows the smoke away from her gun as she speaks.

Another man tries attacking her at the same time but before he knew it her sword pierces right through his abdomen and the person behind him.

"THAT'S 4/1 !!! YOU SURE YOU GONNA WIN ??" She shouts to Xan at the back.

"Fuck you bitc- BAAMMM!!!" The bullet pierced thru his skull.

"You speak too slow." She says as she slightly pushes his head with the tip of her boot and his limp body now falls to the ground.

She turns around but a bullet goes right across her vision and pierces the left eye of the man just beside her who was ready to hit her with a scythe.

The man dropped cold on the ground.

She looks in the direction from where the bullet came. It was from a building a few meters away.

She talks into her intercom with a nervous smile, "Didn't that nearly kill me, babe?"

"BITCH IF I HADN'T DONE THAT YOU WOULD BE DEAD BY NOW!!!! AND WOWWW I DON'T EVEN GET A THANKYOU !! "

"I'm sorr-"

"YOU KNOW WHAT ?? GO KEEP FLEXING YOUR MOVES. I WON'T SAVE YOUR ASS ANYMORE SINCE IM NOT EVEN GETTING A THANKYOU!!!"

Xela relaxes as she realizes it's just her dumbass squadmate.

"Weren't you supposed to be with the others?"She asks him.

"Those two dumbfucks wanted to play their stupid games again and sent the rest of the team to the front. I knew pretty well that the front didn't need that much help so I decided to protect you instead since you'd be alone."He replied as he casually sat down and drank the energy drink that Xela had kept for herself.

"I'm sorry you don't need to worry about me. No enemy can ever find my hideouts." Xela gives a cocky smile.

"OH really??" He raises an eyebrow. "Then what about them?" He points behind him.

Xela's vision follows the direction of his fingers only to see a pile of dead bodies laying coldly on the floor.

"Are you sure no one followed us?" The man asks breathlessly.

" Yes, no one could ever find that tunnel." The other one replied.

"We need to soon report it to our headquart-"

The man stops mid-sentence as they hear a loud noise coming from above them. No doubt it was a helicopter.

The man beside him takes his head out of the window to look at the helicopter but as soon as that, his body is torn in half by a shower of bullets. The other people inside the jeep are horrified by the sight in front of them.

"HURRY UP AND DRIVE FASTERR!!!!" one of them shouts. They all start panicking as showers of bullet start following their jeeps right behind them.

"Ahh ! 3 jeeps down!" The brunette girl shouts.

She clicks the trigger but the bullets don't fire. She realizes the machine gun was out of bullets.

"Ahh not now."She clicks her tongue and pulls out something long and large from the trunk beside her. It was a shoulder missile launcher which she modified herself to fire 2 missiles instead of one. "Comeonn baby it's time to show what you can do." She pats the long tube and places it on her shoulders.

BOOMMM!!!

"Now that's more like it." She looks at the ruins of the 6 jeeps she just blasted but doesn't smile.

"Yes, they are. Ik the major didn't approve of this invention of yours cuz he is a dumbass but I have seen how hard you worked for it and let me tell you they're awesome!! Plus this the perfect time to test them."The girl's blue eyes glisten as she hears the boy's words.

As he pushed the button, two projections emerge out from either side of the helicopter, each projection loaded with a bunch of missiles. He targets the four jeeps running on the ground. A sign 'Target Engaged' displays on the screen and the boy pushes the button on the lever next to him.

4 missiles flare through the air and hit the 4 jeeps on the ground each. It produces a huge explosion. "DAMNNNN THAT WAS FUCKING COOOL CIELL!!!" The boy shouts.

Uena informs everyone that the two did their job and now the mission was completed. Everyone sighs a breath of relief knowing that now they could return home and have a good rest.

hhhh-ewwwo? I did say I wanted to chat and I desperately do not want to do work or studies so buckle in for a long post (derogatory). 22. role model? Oh man, I don’t think I have any, like, specific ones for entire things, though I do fall in my hero-worship phaes and then fall out of them like everyone else. I think that taking an entire person and being like I wanna be like them is... not for me though. But I do look up to some people for specific things - I look up to, weirdly enough, Abigail Phylosohpytube who I didn’t watch before her coming out for her graceful coming out video though she admits that the experience wasn’t obviously as smooth. I look up to lots and lots of people for their ability to create and their art (not gonna tag my fav artists bc am tiny and do not want people to look at me, but i do be reblogging). I look up to people like ConcernedApe Stardewvalley and Supergiantgames Hades for their ability to put so much soul in their work, smth I aspire to do. I look up to @not-poignant for, among other things, their idk how to say it best, wisdom in understanding and communicating with others and with myself? I’ve learned a lot by just sort of being in their periphery and seeing how they articulate their thoughts and choose to be kind and witness other’s pain. Hell, I look up to twitch streamers and youtubers sometimes (the recent nice trait I’d like to have if I ever went into bigger content production is how ibxtoycat deals with parasocial relationship realities). 23. strange habits? Hm. I don’t think drinking tea whenever I need a pick-me-up is strange, that’s just probably forcefully assigning a British nationality to me. I think my insistence on misspelling words in a way I think is lowkey funny might be one, I say thamks bc it feels softer, or thank bc it’s funny, I say sleeb, I say finkers or tryink or otherwise replace g with k for lulz. I also don’t know if it counts as a habit but I have a small leather band around my wrist that’s been there for a year soon. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I probs have like, stranger habits but I can’t recall rn. 29. best way to bond with you? Hmm. Well, if you show initiative and are explicit about wanting to spend time with me, that’s already a big chance of me spending time with you. And then if our interests match and I don’t think that you’re like, young in a way that automatically puts me in a position where I don’t feel comfortable really being myself around you bc in my head I have to look out for you (it has happened with two of my friends, sigh), and we regularly spend time together, voila, friend acquired. It simultaneously doesn’t take much and takes a bit to be my friend and bond with me - it’s easy af to become a casual friend cuz I’m always open to new people, but there has to be a level of trust to become like, a close friend. Respecting my boundaries, talking shit with me, being explicitly committal about wanting to bond with me are big steps that way. 31. what outfit do you wear to kick ass and take names? Uh, I don’t do neither, but a current fave that is reasonably badass is my black tshirt with like, a ritual circle and a deer skull. V edgy, 10/10. I also used to have like a real edgy tshirt with a jester and some dice that said the game of life, but I threw it out bc dysphoria. or maybe I put it at the back of my closet along with one other shirt In Case I Get Top Surgery so I can wear them then. 34. advertisements you have stuck in your head? Many, such is the nature of advertising, alas. I have managed to avoid most of it tbh though, so the only place I am forced to sit through ads so they stick is my scrabble capitalist nightmare app where I play and always beat haha my coursemate. And they have adds for those shitty apps where you have to solve a puzzle that ends up failing in the add and like, drenching a man in green goo. I find those kinda fascinating tbh. Who plays these games? Who plays these shitty shitty games whose ad has to be “prove your IQ“ to make you want to prove yourself to play them? Oh and also, the insidious nature of ads in media I consume - the mcelroys have gotten me informed about many many things bc they do it in a funny way. Have you heard about squarespace? I also literally installed honey yesterday that I knew abt bc of the relentless adds and I wanted to save, uh, 2.50 from my minecraft server purchase (and then spent some time googling how they make money before giving up. just say u sell my data, that’s easier than not knowing what part of this makes you money). I was tired and in a weird mood, ok. 50. what made you laugh the hardest you ever have? It’s always the stupidest jokes, what matters more is laughing together with someone and getting caught in a laughing loop. I still remember laughing with my siblings until our stomachs really really hurt bc I think one of us said a rug was vomit-colored and it was funny in the moment. How many times have I laughed like that with you too, vit. I know that Laura’s one is nostrilatu, right? :D :D It’s just something that catches you off guard, I think.

58. four talents you’re proud of having? Oh shid. Hm. 1) My ability to analyze data and understand the basic building blocks of something. Makes me cool at studying and sexy at explaining things to my course-mates. 2) Not a talent more like a skill that I’ve worked hard on through therapy - but my inner positive voice/healthy parent is very strong and automatic (something I was sure would never happen). A good example is me going out for a walk, my phone dying so I can’t listen to music, when I went in my head “well I can always make music in my head. do-do-do *drum sound*“ and I could feel the wave of self-reprimand cresting but before I could actually hear any negative comments the positive voice said with a light of a thousand suns NO THAT IS ACTUALLY CUTE AND SEXY and just haaaaaaah. 3) I sing good. The sound of “all the way to state, all the way to state, all the way to state!” in the background as the camera focuses on Tami and Eric, watching over everything with sighs on their faces. They carry so much for this town and this team.

Oh shit it’s Bryn Mawr she wants to interview at? And omg they want to interview on the Friday of the semi-final. It’s all happening!

I really love the way they’re transitioning through this period of playoffs—the locker room updates to their progress with the radio in the background, the chants after each win — then making way for Eric dropping Tami off at the airport. Semifinals are here.

Oh God what i feel like Tim sees in “one of Becky’s regular customers” is someone he has an excuse to let out his aggression on. He’s clearly just so fucked up by his life not being what he wanted it to be—and by even the life of those he loved and left behind on the outside not being what he wants for them.

Yay hello! It’s Ella. I’m asking anonymously because Tweendeck is just my side blog and there’s no point in showing my main one. Tumblr told me you started following me with your BNHA blog and omg I’m absolutely over the moon with this fact! Thank you so much for still being interested in my art ♥️♥️♥️ But rn I’m struggling with such a huge art block and have no idea how to overcome it. Can you maybe give me some advise or if you ever went through the same shit what helped you?

Ahhhh omggg! Hi, Ella! 🥰 I'm really sorry to hear you're going through art block right now. Tbh, I've been going through a pretty severe creative block myself recently so I perfectly understand how you feel.

Firstly, allow me to shower you in positive feedback and compliments lmao. I wanted to tell you that I spent a good chunk of the morning flailing over your art with my friend @matcha-castella in discord. I linked a few of your pieces to her and she was quickly ass deep in your art tag going ham much like I was the first time I discovered your art lol.

Your art is beautiful. Everything, from the way you draw poses and expressions to the povs to the amount of depth you achieve in your shading is sooooo viscerally stunning that every time I see something you've drawn, I spend at least five or ten minutes zoomed in on the image admiring every minute detail. You achieve a mood with you art that I find incredibly rare, and that's the ability to make me feel like I'm sitting in the room with whatever character you draw. I can feel their mood, read their body language, and be fully immersed in every single piece you've drawn.

I know it sounds like I'm waxing poetic here, but I'm dead serious lol. I wasn't joking at all when I said your art adds ten years to my life every time I see it. I am a big, big fan of you work and first and foremost, I want you to know that. I don't get the chance to leave a whole lot of in depth comments on artists works because I always feel like I'm being weird by doing so lol, but I have so much respect and admiration for not just the skill, but the time and the effort and the emotions artists like you put into your creations.

You are amazing and your art is amazing, and I appreciate you sooooooo much 💕 Thank you for sharing your beautiful art.

As far as climbing the mile high hurdle that is a creative block goes, in order to overcome it, I usually have to force myself to. That sounds a lot more brutal than it is, but that's the gist lol.

I'll usually sit back and begin working on something with absolutely no plan and no foresight whatsoever. I usually don't even plan on posting it anywhere. I'm just creating for the sole purpose of doing so. That's how my icon came to be, actually.

I'll doodle, edit, write drabbles, or just dick around in photoshop and pray that an idea strikes me in the process. Sometimes this works immediately and I end up with something I'm really proud of. Other times, it takes a number of tries before I finally get the creative juices flowing again. It relieves a lot of pressure because regardless of whether or not I'm happy with the end product is irrelevant because I went into it with no idea, no plan, and no sense of 'I must create this thing!' looming over me. If I end up dissatisfied, I can always try again the next day and that sense of whatever I'm making not needing to be perfect or even cohesive really helps me overcome a lot of my creative blocks. It gives me freedom to experiment and explore and fuck up lmao. Which in turn leads me to finding solutions that work and ideas flowing along with said solutions.

If this method fails me, I'll seek inspiration elsewhere. I'll either go over the series pertaining to the content I'm trying to create again, or I'll dabble in something else entirely. I'll do things I enjoy that free up my thinking space and force me to focus like reading fics or playing video games. That way, I can at least go into the creative process with a fresh perspective.

Bouncing ideas off someone else is another thing that really helps me. If I throw an idea out for something, and someone comes at me excited about that idea, I'm suddenly a lot more motivated to try and make the idea a tangible thing.

These methods aren't foolproof by any means, but it's what keeps me in the creative groove. Or forces me back into it at any rate lmao.

As far as advice goes, I feel the best advice I can give is don't be so hard on yourself. All creators go through blocks. It sucks ass, but it's all a part of the process. Try not to stress yourself out by focusing on your art block and turn that focus to other things that make you happy. When you feel up to it, keep creating and take breaks in between as you need them. Try and fail and try again. So long as you keep creating something, anything, even if it's weeks or months in between your attempts, you'll overcome that block eventually.
