My hopes were dropped even lower tbh
Hot take, but I don’t like the personality they’ve given Peach. She just feels like a cookie cutter tough woman character that you see in like every movie now a days. It feels like they didn’t put any heart into her. They just made her a tough woman lead and called it a day. She’s more than that you guys common!
Peach is already full of personality, why change her? She’s sassy, she’s classy, she’s emotional, she’s unique. Why changer her? Why make her dress up in armor wielding an axe to go fight Bowser? That’s not what she’s like, If anything she’d strut out there in her dress and all to go fight Bowser.
Here’s an idea you guys, keep Peach the way she is in canon. Why? Because that’s the personality she’s had for years. It would also make her much more interesting in the movie. And get this! We already love canon Peach.
Aside from that. I wasn’t a fan of the whole go-cart thing, it felt out of place for what the rest of the trailer looked like. But idk maybe it makes sense in the movie. Jeez, there’s a lot about these trailers that I don’t like-
BUT, I can say that I LOVE what they seem to be doing with Mario and Luigi. Mario reaching out and grasping Luigi’s hand, that whole scene makes me think that we might get some brotherly moments between the bros. Which I am all for!

The things I had in mind was if Mario and Luigi are in a public place, Mario would try to keep people from interacting with Luigi. Like, if someone tried to talk to them, Mario would step forward and do all the talking and answer questions on Luigi’s behalf. 
If Luigi just needs some time away from all the noise. Mario will find a way to get him out of there, even if it means he needs to cause a scene to allow Luigi to escape unnoticed.
Sometimes though that doesn’t Work. Sometimes Luigi cant get away or his anxiety just keeps rising.. if that happens Mario will discreetly hold his hand, and squeeze it tightly. Just knowing that Mario is there usually keeps him calm enough that they can wait out the stressful situation and get away.
Now when they’re in private? Luigi’s anxiety is a lot easier to deal with.
Mario can openly hold Luigi’s hand and comfort him without any risk of judgmental stares. Mario can talk to him in what ever language he wants because no one can hear them. Usually Luigi just parks somewhere on like a couch or a bed, gets some water and they ride the out anxiety together.
Heh, and here Mario thinks he’s not the best brother he can be, smh.

I have some ideas in mind for those actually! Although they’re not super ironed out..
The Shy guys might be this spooky tribe in the woods somewhere. They don’t work for Bowser, they just kind’a do their own thing. And I imagined that they’d be cursed, or at the very least people fear them because of all the horrors and death that seem to follow them..
The chain chomps were supposed to be giant hunks of metal, that Kamek used his powers to cast a curse on. This curse brought them to life. The curse of hunger.
The Piranha plants are supposed to be just a rather dangerous species of plant that live all over the place. But Bowser feeds the ones that grow near his kingdom. Thus making them bigger.. and bigger... and bigger. Until their roots are strong enough that they can relocate themselves where ever they want..

They are all Bowsers blood children in my AU. And they have no role in his army or anything like that.
My idea is that there is a hidden home/castle somewhere on Bowsers land that is guarded heavily by Blue shelled Para troopas. In this home is where his kids, Kamek and Kammy all reside. Where they are kept hidden and safe from anything or anyone that might try to harm them.
I don’t have any plans for them in this AU, although they do exist!

Daisy and Peach think the Boos are little pests. They cant actually really hurt anyone, but they love to sneak into their kingdoms and scare their civilians. Super annoying 🙄
As for if you’re not scared of them, they might be offended or upset. In which King Boo well.. he doesn’t like people makin his Boos upsetti spaghetti

I imagine the Toads know of the Mega mushrooms and can tell them apart from regular trees.. but I doubt they would have a way to move the wild ones since they don’t have Yoshi’s anymore. So they probably have a garden of Mega Mushrooms somewhere in the kingdom just waiting to be tested on.
Buuuuut, they were saving those for another day. Assuming just by size alone, that they weren’t safe to test within Kingdom grounds.
That’s when Mario and Luigi would stumble upon one in the woods without knowing what it is and.. I think you know the rest XD

Some of the Boo might be offended to an extent. Like what, we’re not scary to you? Huh? Why aren't you scare of us??
But also some of them might be flustered or surprised. If someone came in and just gushed about how cool they were, they might be inclined to show off a bit. Maybe try to make even scarier faces to look cool.
All in all, I think they’d spare you, and let you leave the Mansion unharmed out of flattery.

Ah, unfortunately Mario only gets his Tanooki abilities when he consumes the Tanooki leaf Power-up. And the form he gets is 100% the animal form. He cannot change it to be anything else.
Without the Power-up in his system, he’s just good ol Mario :/ he doesn’t get the privilege of having just the tail and ears at any point XD
(And also, if you spelled it right- yes and no. The real world animal, Tanuki, is how you spelled it. But for some reason Nintendo spelt the Power-up as “Tanooki”??)

Either they throw so many fire/ice balls that they eventually just, use up all the flowers power..
Or, they take a huge blow of physical damage, and the fire/ice flower consumes all of its remaining energy trying to protect them from the hit.

Yeah, it was pretty rough. There were two whole days where Mario was too cold to really do anything other then sleep. And even after he warmed up.. he was too exhausted to move, so he just kept sleeping.
As for the toads.. I think Toadsworth would have been pretty upset at the scientists. And he would tell them that they needed to pace their research better as to not overwork Mario.
He also probably wanted to be present for more of the testing. To insure their hero’s were being given proper treatment. You know, he wanted them to be treated like hero's who were graciously offering their bodies for scientific study. Not guinea pigs.

I don’t actually know anything about the paper Mario games.. and I didn't have intentions to bring any characters from the spin off games into the AU. Excluding well known spin off characters like Waluigi and Wario of course,
Basically, I don’t know anything about Mr L. And considering if from the paper Mario series.. he might not have a place in the AU..

I gave my Patroclus curly hair and, as a fellow member of the "naturally curly hair" club, I wondered what it would be like to come back from the fight with some parts covered in blood. Really, in Patroclus' place, I would look forward to a bath at the same time as I would regret in advance the amount of time I would spend just on my hair (and in his case, a beard too). That's why he looks so sulky here lol
Armor
I remembered that Achilles' second armor (the one made by Hephaestus) was highly described, but I didn't remember the first one. So I went back to the scene where Patroclus wears it (Book XVI) to get a clue and there is a description, although short: the breastplate was made of bronze and had stars, the ankle cnemides were adorned with silver, the helmet had a horse's plume and the shield was huge. It's mentioned that Patroclus also took a bronze sword with silver ornaments, but I cannot say whether it belonged to Achilles as well. The Iliad clearly says that although Achilles is primarily a spear user, Patroclus did not take his ash spear with him because of the Achaeans only Achilles could lift it (it was a gift from Chiron to Peleus). As you may have noticed, this still leaves a lot of detail out, so the rest I made up from imagination.
I'll make it clear now that none of the armors in my drawing really matches Mycenaean times, they're more like "resembling" Mycenaean times. But in my defense: I've never seen anyone use the Mycenaean armor design when drawing the Trojan War characters either! In theory, it would look like this (although obviously we consider that this piece is old and has already been greatly altered by external conditions until it was found):

So I tried to improvise to still get something close to the things I found, but that's it: I still doubt that my drawing is accurate, so let's use artistic freedom.
I was a little inspired by this vase, taking the Mycenaean tunic from it and the clothes decorated with fringes. Another site has attempts at reconstructing Mycenaean armor, which is convenient. Even more convenient is that the site indicates by name who is wearing whose armor (it also has Agamemnon, Odysseus, Diomedes, Hector and others from armies instead of specific characters). There are two versions for Achilles, but both are Hephaestus' armor, so neither is what I was looking for. I used a little of each for inspiration.
However, I still simplified the design instead of copying the reconstruction because I'm not much for drawing very detailed things. I'll probably change it more often, since here I only managed to draw the chest part due to the framing and the pose. And because it's after a battle, not even the helmet is present. So, I didn't do the entire armor design all at once, but rather "chopped it up". Result: I can't guarantee that I will keep what I already have because I don't know if it will be harmonious with the rest when I design it.
As for Achilles' hairstyle…well, truth be told! I've seen male characters being represented with a bun, as is the case with Apollo, but there is a catch: these representations of Apollo do not follow the Mycenaean period! From the Mycenaean period, you can tell that men had long hair, but I imagine by that they mean something more like at most chest length (average, at least). But my Achilles has hair so long it almost goes down to his butt. As a bonus, it's voluminous! It's a very impractical amount of hair, it can't be left loose. I could make a ponytail like Patroclus' (there's even a representation of Achilles with a ponytail), but I think with that size it wouldn't be enough because it's still easy to get in the way, so a bun and an accessory that helps move the bangs away. Of course, this would conflict with the helmet, but that's precisely why it's a low bun. From the images I saw, this part of the head was uncovered.
As for Patroclus, we have no description of an armor he wears other than Achilles' as far as I can remember. In other words, his armor had to be entirely invented, but I still used the same sources to get an idea of how to do it. I admit that I considered doing something generic for him, with the internal justification that he's neither a prince nor a king, so it wouldn't be so unrealistic and I would save time on this drawing too! But then I thought to myself if it would make sense with Achilles' character to not find a way to put Patroclus in a good armor and I came to the conclusion that it wouldn't make sense, so here we are. It took some work, but I'll tell myself that my man Patroclus deserves his non-generic armor too. And since he also has long bangs, I also had to add something to keep it out of his sight.

Some concepts and ideas for Castor and Ronan’s story called Starchild. Some of these are… hard to get to drawing, specifically Ronan’s younger siblings, might redesign them, but they’re all very young. Ronan left to join a crew so he could make money for them while his parents physically can’t work, and he made sure that his 12-year-old brother is very helpful. Then some random character ideas. A first mate on Castor’s pirate crew, two important characters named Rigel and Esther, castor as a young boy, and random scene ideas I have.
There’s a lot of crap I’m rambling about under the cut so go there if you want to know more about the characters, lore, and spoilers
I also have an idea of a deity or something of the sorts. It’s bascially a “Star God”, something with incredible power that was given to them from the heavens, and it is responsible for the starchildren that have shown up around the world, hence why this series is called Starchild. The whole thing around the Star God is a mystery, but people do know it exists thanks to the star children. This is a little dark but some explanation on Starchildren:
Starchildren are born every few hundred years or so, it’s unknown how often a starchild is born, but people believe that starchildren are the star god’s children, and that when they reach a certain age, they are sacrificed to deal with all the problems the world is having. They believe that if a starchild is not sacrificed, demons from hell will arrive to destroy the world. I hinted at this on my last post, but starchildren turn into strange creatures, the main one being the Leviathan. There’s also the Kraken and the other one who’s name is so complicated I’m not even going to bother with it dhskdbsk.
Long story short, the whole thing is a lie. Starchildren have incredible power when they become adults and are “awakened” as Starchildren. They remember the person that gave them that power (the Star God) and their purpose, which is watching over the people. However, centuries ago, someone in high power believed that Star children were too powerful, and out of fear, he came up with an excuse to kill starchildren before they grew too powerful, because no one should be more powerful than him. So they killed starchildren when they were young and weak, hiding behind the excuse of it being a sacrifice to the world or something, using the blood to cleanse the world and keep the demons at bay. That way, if the starchildren escape, and inevitably take on the role of “deities”, people will believe that the demons have arrived to punish them for failing, and will try to kill the awakened starchildren.
Starchildren cannot escape their fate, however, because they cannot hide unless they are far away from people. They have blue hair that shines in the darkest fog, blue hair that cannot be hidden, and a star birthmark somewhere.
I suppose there’s no reason to hide this now, but Castor is the starchild of this era, originally called Orion, but he changed his name for safety. He ran away when he learned that he was going to die, trying to escape on a boat. The people almost caught him, but the kraken appeared, seemingly saving his life. As Castor tried to hide from people, he tried to hide his blue hair, but it constantly shines through whatever he hid it in. The best he could do was to wrap it up and put a thick hat on, which helped, but even so, you can see in his wrapping the blue hair. He tried to dye it, hide it in mud, even shaving it, but the blue cannot be covered up, so hiding in plain sight was nearly impossible to him. He left to sea to avoid people, but accidentally became captain of the pirate crew. He’s a very jaded man who is intimidating and skilled in sword fighting. People respect him as a captain, so he is in high status on his ship (obviously 💀). Problem is, there is a very, VERY high bounty on the star child’s head, so even the most loyal crew members may turn on him if he is found out.
Castor trusts no one, but he seems to have a soft spot for Ronan for some reason. Even when he eventually finds out that he is the starchild, he can’t bring himself to kill him. He’s just a boy…
Obviously, Esther and Rigel are starchildren as well. Rigel is an ancient starchild, who lived a good life before the starchildren sacrifices. He roams the ocean, punishing anyone who threatens the innocent or disrespects the ocean. There were a lot of starchildren too, but the creatures of starchildren were hunted and killed, leaving Rigel, Esther, and Castor the last three starchildren. Esther was a starchild who escaped the sacrifice, who is far more cruel and jaded than Castor, and when Castor is “awakened”, she goes after him to use him to punish everyone.
Rigel is that turtle Whale island thing, Esther is the kraken, and Castor turns into the Leviathan.
The star god is no benevolent being, and is not a god at all. He’s a regular human who got magic from some meteorite, idk, there doesn’t need to be any specifics lol, and he grew immensely powerful. He resides away from the ocean, but he is not a good person. He’s greedy, selfish, and does nothing to help the innocent starchildren he “created”. He would love to have the starchildren to do his bidding, but if they die, it’s no matter, cuz he doesn’t need them. Idk maybe he’s not greedy lol. Either way the star god is not a good person, but I kinda want the star god’s role to be similar to Davy Jones in pirates of the Caribbean. There must always be a star god.
Anyways I hope that all makes sense 💀💀 Ronan is just there, being roped up into this nonsense, but he’s a good boy with a good heart and wants to help the starchildren, and he and Castor grow close.

Sly Cooper: Bentley, Asylums, and Disability Representation in Video Games
Revisiting a Classic old series, we analyze the portrayal of Disability in the #SlyCooper series and how it portrays Bentley who uses a wheelchair as of Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves.
Some Excerpts:
There are two villains I want to discuss people might not think of in the context of disability--The Contessa and Arpeggio.
The Contessa's levels are my personal favorite in Sly 2, so anything I say here is with love but these ideas don't come in a vacuum. Aesthetically it's a mix of a prison level, a haunted ghost setting with mystical elements, and most importantly is an asylum drawing on a number of tropes surrounding the allure of a haunted asylum.
The next villain I want to talk about is Arpeggio. He runs into a common pitfall in that he's the disabled villain. He's an engineering parrot who cannot fly and seeks to reassemble Clockwerk's body to claim it as his own and achieve the immortality that comes with it. The important element is how Arpeggio's villainy is intrinsically linked with his body and his disability.
Oftentimes, able bodied writers will write a villainous disabled character where the concept of being disabled is so burdensome and awful to the eyes of an able-bodied audience that they will do anything and immediately jump to evil in order to not be disabled. You can see this in how a lot of the dialogue about or with Arpeggio reviles in how pathetic he is and how the story frames his inability to fly.
There was a promotional comic that came out as a midquel between the events of Sly 2 and 3.
Throughout all of Sly 2: Band of Thieves, things spiral badly out of control, the Cooper gang's plans fall apart, and they often have to improvise, barely succeeding in several of the levels and flat out failing in others. This game is a ride.
Many articles, discussions, and posts about Bentley as a disabled character often reinforce a harmful and ableist belief that he is a good disabled character because he is a genius able to engineer a solution that doesn't allow his disability to "slow him down." Whether explicitly mentioned or not, the discourse surrounding Bentley repeats this narrative in some way and falls into a line of trying to exceptionalize Bentley's actions.
Sly 3 does reserve its most overt ableism for its villainous characters in Don Octavio, Muggshot and Captain Lefwee. But scenes like this are still reliant on the helpless disabled person trope at Bentley's expense, where he's literally kicked to the ground and stripped of his autonomy to center the agency of an able bodied character.
The game doesn't try to act like Bentley can do better if he just pushes more and tries harder. There are things he can't do and it's frustrating, but they celebrate his strengths in what he does.
It doesn't tokenize his disability and the final villain has a confrontation with him entirely because of his relationship to the Cooper family, a fight that Bentley is initiating, not Dr. M.
If nothing else, I hope this video gave some food for thought regarding how a lot of disabled people are portrayed. I don't claim to be the arbiter of all things disability, but hopefully it'll give more insight into what games and media in general can do to improve in its storytelling.
It's a shame that the Sly movie or a TV series never came to fruition because it'd be a great opportunity to portray a disabled character, actually consult and include disabled people in the creative process and make something really memorable.

He has seen death ample times in his millennia’s worth of existence.
He has witnessed the grief and wallowing of thousands of souls that enter his halls.
He has even found beauty in it. Death, that is. The release of responsibilities. The fierce, icy grip that would soon lead to peace.
He admired it, he envied it.
And yet. . . The day that Námo perceived your final moments, he found himself unable to function. Unable to speak, eat, sleep.
Countless times has he seen death, and yet nothing shook him more to his core than the sight of you laying there on the battlefield. Your body painted with crimson and your eyes shut. That beautiful face of yours so serene despite the wounds that littered your fána. For a moment, he may have considered the possibility of you simply lost in slumber, if it were not for the scene of chaos that carried on around you.
That is what his world had become, chaos. The realisation that he could not protect you broke him in several ways. He knew that this was unstoppable. He knew that this was fate. But what the Vala also knew is that this was cruelty in its finest. For The One to have shown him such horrible imageries — of the person he holds dear no less. . .
Námo was in a state. To know that your end would not be a peaceful send off. You would pass away in the heat of battle, the day of Dagor Dagorath. He will witness your death and yet, despite all his power and might he will not be able to reach you.
For the first time in his entire existence, he wished to listen to the whispers. To defy the very law by which Eru governs. To escape the loop. To break the will. The sight of you laying there on the ground was simply too much to bear.
It keeps him awake for weeks.
Months.
And worst of all? He finds himself drawing away from you. For whenever he sees your face, images of that fateful day to come plague his very eyes. He cannot move, cannot speak. He is ill with anxiety. Choking on the bitter reality.
He shuts you out.
He shuts you out, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Even when his mind screams at him. Reminds him that this is the route that his Creator has set out for him, he still continues. He isolates himself from you. Like a puppet on the strings he obeys and is pulled in the direction of this unwarranted fate.
It matters not how much he tries to fight it. Nor how much he wishes to scream until his lungs pour with crimson as he curses the name he has only ever known as holy.
And it is not until you are lying there on that battlefield. Peaceful amongst the chaos. Unaware of his wailing agony and his desperation to get to you. To scoop you up in his arms and savour your warmth. To whisper into your hair and kiss your lips one final time
It is only then that he truly realises the meaning of the word doom.

So some folks say Jess is out of character here. And that is valid—I can totally see it. But I think there’s room for another interpretation here (as usual with Succession’s writing!)
Let’s rewind a little bit and see where these lines end up in the course of the scene (because that was my first question when I saw this—“where does this happen?”)

Kendall has made it clear (“not going to let her up”) that they’re having this talk whether she wants to or not. But Jess has already made her decision. Like so many other instances, Kendall is too late. The die is already cast. This relationship has reached the point of no return.
She presents her speech that she’s prepared, trying to navigate this with resolve—and to end on a good note. This is not a “fuck you, I’m quitting speech.”
But what type of conversation does this end up being?
Kendall becomes increasingly desperate (all happening within an hour of his breakdown with Rava and the kids) but Jess is resolved. He wants her to answer his questions (Juliana Canfield has said Jess is not the type to speak up about things but that she’s “starting to pick up on [being feisty.]” — as she mentioned in the Vulture article right after America Decides premiered.
She’s making a tough decision, but she’s still avoiding “getting into it” while also not sugar coating and saying “it’s not Mencken! Don’t worry!” She’s toeing the line—and doing a fucking professional job of it.

Part of jess’ job is give Kendall answers, especially when he pointedly asks her questions. But here we see her dodge them repeatedly, with half or vague answers or she chooses to not answer them outright (like when he asks “what exact role” was she moving on to). Again, she doesn’t want to get into it, but she’s also not going to lie. She also now does not owe him answers.
Jess is navigating this extremely tough conversation because she does care about Kendall but she’s taking care of herself. (JC said on twitter:

She’s being careful to not answer questions and she knows Kendall is starting to spiral (because she knows him really, really well.) she’s reading the room; he is not (or cannot).

So here we are—we see him inquiring about whether she likes him (as he mentions he likes her three times) as a question in a long string of questions as he spirals and tries desperately to hang on to, as Jeremy Strong said, his “safe space” that he’s found with her. He’s doomed to lose her as his fights this mortal wound.
We also see her cite the “hard time” as something of a general reason for her moving on. Because her answer to “do you like me” is YES, but she knows she can’t say that now. If she does, he’ll use it as a way to try to convince her, to draw out this awful conversation minutes before his father’s funeral.

And he collapses into himself, throws his shades on to hide his emotions and lashes out at her for doing exactly what he asked her to that morning, which was tell him what the meeting was about 😩.

デジモンゴーストゲーム#36ご視聴本当にありがとうございました!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for watching Digimon Ghost Game #36. This was the most titanic task I’ve been assigned in my admittedly short career. I handled 24 cuts of layouts and I think 14 cuts of 2nd key animation. I feel bad for leaving so much extra work, but the deadline was way too tight for me to be able to draw the remaining 10.  This time around I won’t post gifs of my scenes because it’s a whole 1:20 minutes of animation :’v But if you are curious I handled the bit when Kiyoshiro is being turned to stone, all the way to when the debris from the fight hits around Ruri. The more action packed portion of my section even made it to SakugaBooru if you wanna take a peak and don’t feel like watching the whole episode. I want to thank everyone again for your support, and as always some longer thoughts after the cut! Another thing I’ve been meaning to say is that my inbox is always open if you are curious about my work and all that good stuff.
I cannot even begin to describe how stressed I’ve been. I was constantly rewatching the episode preview just to have something to watch. There was only one time where we got to see the finished episode before it aired, and I understand it, it’s sensitive information, and they can’t just send it to any freelancer, even if not maliciously that kind of stuff can leak easily, but the problem on my end is that I’m left not knowing how my cuts will truly look. As you may know inbetweens are the drawings you add to your animation to smooth out the motion, but in anime production inbetweens are handled by a whole separate team, you can draw guides for them (both charts, and rough drawings), but since it’s not really your job, it doesn’t factor in the time that you have for said work. I drew as many IB guides as I could on what I considered the most important cuts, but a bunch of other ones I just did my best guess at what good timing and spacing would be. I still don’t have enough experience to do that in my head without seeing it, so there’s always a chance that a cut won’t look the way I imagined.  I was desperate to know if my cuts looked good, and I think they mostly do. I think that animation is my current skill ceiling in terms of action sakuga. It obviously could’ve been better, it always can, but at my skill level and within the deadline, I’m definitely more than satisfied. If you read my reflections after episode 18 you’ll recall that I was feeling depressed because I didn’t know if I had blown my one chance to draw a really cool action scene, but this time around I was given that chance again, and I tried so hard to not squander it. Maybe it’s weird or even immature, but I like being complimented for my work, so I wanted to draw something that was worthy of compliments. I’ve gotten a lot of impostor syndrome these past 2 months, this industry is just filled with so many incredible artists, and I can’t help but feel that I skipped so many steps that would’ve given me a more solid foundation to stand on, but at the end of the day, given the right circumstances, I can produce good work, and I’m happy about that. Oh also this episode was my first episode working as a full time freelancer on Digimon Ghost Game! So at least for the foreseeable I will work on 1 episode of Digimon every month-month and a half, so you haven’t seen the last of me there. Thanks for reading and for all the support, cheers!! ✼ How did you come up with the idea for the October EBG? How far in advance do you start planning out the general plot?
i had a few one-liners ideas in my notes when i signed up for the ebg, so I when ying (@/i23kazu) assigned my bias as childe, i just yoinked one that seemed fitting.
honestly, i wasn’t even sure if i wanted to do another storyline for this ebg at first. i even had a poll and while most urged me to make a storyline and do whatever will make me happy, there was also a significant amount who said otherwise. but in the end, i thought about it again and i decided to fuck it and do what my heart wants.
i couldn’t plan that far in advance considering ying only announced the assigned bias the day before ebg, so quite literally these were the ideas i jotted down after i settled on the ‘plot’:

besides that, at this point i only knew i wanted to do something with polls and ciphers — that’s it. i had no concrete ideas or anything.

really close, i guess? i didn't really have a 'clear vision' or anything, just the general plot and wishing that people would send in asks haha
general rule of story telling is to start it slow and make it accelerate and peak near the end, so that’s what i did with the hints and story progression. and as for the hints, it would have to be vague at first (let people guess and theorize and go down the wrong path) and gradually i just started making it clearer/obvious as it goes.
✼ Since EBG is an interaction heavy event, were there any particular asks/events/interactions that took you by surprise (either in a good way or bad way)?
i didn’t expect people to like coviello hsdlkfjklsdf
but honestly, every asks i received in my inbox feels like a surprise gift for me. because even for my friends, i had no idea what they were going to make their characters do.
✼ What was the most challenging part about this EBG?
1 - writing coviello simping for childe 😭 i just cannot simp for this man.
2 - coviello’s snarky & blunt replies — i am a person who tries to be as civil and polite to people unless they pick a fight with me, so it takes me a while to come up with an answer.
3 - lastly, as usual, having to pump writings & drawings consistently for 7 days straight took its toll on me. i said it before on my first ebg and i’ll say it again. i have no idea how i managed to do that and i’m not sure if i can do it again hskdjskd
✼ What was your favorite part about this EBG?
everything, i think. the interactions, the anticipation of waking up and scrolling through the replies section, the excitement when replying to asks and getting bursts of ideas on what to write and draw.... gods. it's so much fun.
but i guess if i have to pick it would be seeing people reblog coviello's story quest. it was a whimsical project that came to me at.... day 3 or 4 night, as i laid in my bed before sleeping. i had the idea and jotted down the narratives and sketch directions while crying (oof). sketched & edited it for the next few days, and made it just in time for the last day.

post talking about the ending of live a live. dont wanna put that much effort into formatting (carpal tunnel my beloathed) but this is for the scene post sin of odio fight. long post under the cut. may or may not format another day.
gonna preface this by saying even though oersted blames himself for *all* of what happened, i don't think he's fully correct in that assumption. hindsight is a bitch to deal with. you see things you couldn't have noticed in the moment.
i feel the different protagonists all had good points, even akira. though he was pretty harsh with it, he did have a point somewhat. i'll discuss that in a later paragraph.
going in reverse chronological order here, so starting with cube: despite not saying anything, cube's actions can speak on their own. cube may not have gone through the exact same things oersted did, yet they can still show compassion. and it's implied that even if cube didn't go through anything bad in their chapter, they can still sympathize. you, too, can still sympathize or show compassion, even if you haven't gone through trauma yourself.
akira's message isn't "oersted can only blame himself for everything." though his anger likely gave that impression to some. rather, it's that only you can decide your own actions. and others can decide theirs. it's impossible to truly control another's actions. straybow couldn't control oersted, he couldn't force oersted into committing regicide, or becoming the king of demons.
you cannot force another to take a particular action. and i think straybow tried controlling oersted too, not just alicia.
there's caveats to this, mind you. having a choice doesn't mean much if your options are limited. i still believe oersted didn't see any other options between "live completely isolated from the rest of humanity" "turn self in and get executed, likely in a brutal manner", or "shit guess i'll be the demon". who knows, maybe the minister was serious when offering the throne to oersted. but if oersted took that offer, then the message of the game would fall on it's face.
have i mentioned i'm applying these as real life lessons, yet?
because i am.
i think people are drawn to certain fiction for a reason. a lot of it can teach you important lessons for your life. it's usually not as obvious as a character directly telling you "accept others, kids!" but just because it's not directly shoved into your face, doesn't mean it's not there.
regardless, moving to masaru. he talks about ambition, here. it doesn't have to mean muscle strength for everyone. rather, it could mean physical skills. it doesn't matter how good at something you become, whether it's wrestling, or acrobatics, or modeling, or drawing. it will mean nothing if you surrender your identity to it.
i think oersted lost his sense of self during his chapter. existing purely for other's validation, or having your identity depend on other's perceptions of you is a miserable feeling. i've been there. so i've firsthand experience of how relieving it feels to become yourself again.

Ah, my most recently posted meresino work! 💖
I kind of ended up answering both questions in one go, but tl;dr: the trickiest scene was Orsino's love confession, given that it's based on a shared history that's only shown in snippets within this work. And insofar as anything I write is ever meant to be instructional, I wanted to share my understanding of the similarities between Meredith and Orsino. More broadly, I wanted to explore how things don't necessarily happen for a reason, how we as people often craft narratives to make sense of an arbitrary and unfair world. And yet, we also can't forget that there are people who benefit of from our suffering and oppression, but the system is deliberately designed to hinder us from accurately identifying the culprits.
The Long Version
The love confession took several rewrites, and truth be told, I'm still not 100% satisfied with it: I wanted there to be a bit more of a transition from the preceding paragraph, which is more focused on physical chemistry.
At this point, I could probably write Meredith and Orsino fighting and/or fucking in my sleep, but genuine emotion is still a bit more tricky, because neither of them are well practiced in allowing themselves feel any sort of attachment, let alone express it. With words.
That being said, Orsino has had the better part of fifteen years to dwell on his regrets (all while watching one of the most important people in his life become progressively angrier and more bitter), and most importantly, he's always been a bit of an optimist! Whereas Meredith is, uh, not.
Also, because I could talk about the parallels and contrasts between them for days, I see both Meredith and Orsino as characters who are defined by their boundless capacity for love. On one hand, Meredith loses everyone she's ever cared about but yet cannot stop herself from wanting to protect those in her power at all costs (but that's a meta for another day). And then there's Orsino, who remembers little of his life before the Circle, who pours so much of himself into advocating for those around him. But nobody ever really shows him that same level of care and devotion back. His best friend as an apprentice dies in part due to how much she misses her family and wishes she could see them. And while Orsino can objectively acknowledge that that's fucking awful, he can't personally relate, because there's nothing for him outside the Circle. The Circle is all he's known. TL;DR BUT basically what I am getting at is that with the love confession scene I wanted to convey two things: 1) the concept that it's often easier to love than be loved 2) and that for a brief, fleeting moment in time, Orsino was the most important person in Meredith's world, and he's never going to forget that he actually mattered to somebody. Given that this is my 'technically canon-compliant' verse, I just love the inherent tragedy of shared history drawing two deeply fucked-up, traumatised people back into each other's orbit, and them both being destroyed by the thing they fear the most (love, and being loved in return). Meredith tries so hard to save a city that is beyond saving to the point of actively hastening its destruction. And Orsino (at least in this 'verse), desperately needs to believe that Meredith can change, because what does it say about his worth as a person if one of the few people who has ever made him a priority is capable of such cruelty and hatred? How is he supposed to reconcile that? The Last Straw is in a way, the last straw for so many of the characters involved. Anders blows up the Chantry, murdering the Grand Cleric to remove any chance of compromise. Whatever one's opinion on Anders, it's irrefutable that his intentions were to start a war, or at least to shake up the city so much that people simply couldn't coast on the status quo any longer. Anders deliberately eliminates the last person in the city Meredith felt any shred of accountability towards. And in the absence of that accountability, she takes out her rage and her fear and her guilt on the last group of people she feels she can actually DO anything about: the mages, and more specifically, her mages. She doesn't even DO anything with Anders. For all intents and purposes, she turns to Hawke and says, 'You deal with your problem mage, I'll deal with mine'. Meanwhile, Orsino is facing the horrible consequences of his own failures: there was a part of him that genuinely thought he could stop Meredith. That if he tried enough, if he loved her hard enough... And he realises, too late, that it isn't going to work, that it was never going to work.
And that's also why I think he gives up (gives in) in the end. Even if Hawke helps him, there's a moment where he's confronted with the sheer magnitude of what he feels he's allowed to happen, and it's just... too much! And it was all for nothing, too, because there's absolutely no way Meredith is getting out of this unscathed. Orsino can't save his mages, he can't save the woman he loves, and in the end, he can't even save himself. ... Anyway, so that's that on how this is a story about the sheer destructive power of positive emotions, especially when one is trapped in a system that is deliberately oppressive.

Thranduil and Josie Part 50- By the Power of 3 x's 3, Make Him See
(I have decided I am going to start putting summaries at the beginning of my chapters. Enjoy the big 50!)
Summary: Thranduil fights with his inner demons stemmed from guilt....and jealousy. Haldir and Josie experience Thranduil's wrath of the curse he placed on Haldir. Thranduil feels the repercussions of it. Legolas tries to help you, but is he getting too close? Did I mention Thranduil feels the repercussions?

Legolas made sure you got back inside safely and then bee-lined right for his father in a not so pleasant manner after you informed him that Thranduil's curse on Haldir was irreversible. Now he wished he had gone with Haldir to Lorien. As much as Haldir made Legolas wish he could put him on mute at times, he loved him and would lay down his life for him, as Haldir would him.
He found Thranduil at his throne, sitting and drinking his wine as Legolas walked up in a huff.

"I know why you have come, I could hear your rants a mile away. As I told Josephine, there is nothing I can do, so there is no need for another conversation to take place about....him." Judging by Thranduil's tone, he was still bitter at Legolas for drawing his weapon on him and was not about to apologize to Legolas for returning the favor.
"His name is Haldir." Legolas sneered.
"You tell me this as if I am supposed to care."
"You did once. There is a reason he was made my Guardian."
"That was centuries ago, before he coveted my wife and had his way with her or has that slipped your mind?" Thranduil was now annoyed and came down from the throne to refill his glass. He had drank many and knew he would not be going back up those stairs.
"You must move past that and your anger of him before something happens you cannot take back." Legolas adamantly said.
"You presume to give me orders?!" He said as he swiftly turned with his newly filled cup.
"Merely a suggestion. You above all know black magic is not to be used as you know of the consequences, why would you risk that? It is also your own rule! You have banished many elves from this Kingdom for it's use, Gausyr, remember him? My mother even...this is a lack of hon..."
"Your mother was banished from here because she was a whore!" Thranduil snapped cutting Legolas off mid sentence. This was now a nerve Legolas regretted striking.
"Thranduil!!!" you gasped as you stood at the bottom of the enormous circular stone platform, then came jogging up, stopping directly in front of him as his eyes, his oh so beautiful eyes delved right through yours into your soul.

'No matter what you think of Morwen, you should not speak such words to your son!."
"Good evening to you also Josephine." Thranduil replied and turned for another glass.
"So this is what you do? Not even an hour ago, I told you to find a way to fix that curse or there was no fixing us, and you sit up here and drink?"
"Ultimatums. You know I do not answer to those, for anyone. I have given you your precious charm from him, what more do you demand of me? I am certainly no....hero." The sarcasm pouring out of his mouth was on overload. You could tell he had plenty to drink in just the past hour. The art room scene obviously set him off.
"Are you really going back to all that time ago? I called Haldir that because that is what he was. He saved me from being r@ped by Alfred. But I also called you that first, at our wedding. How easily you forgot that though. And what I demand, is that you try to find a way to undo the curse instead of sitting here drinking yourself stupid, and to maybe give a shit about me...."
"Josephine...it seems I should be asking that of you. But all I hear is his name, and now you threaten me with our marriage over him? And what do I see just earlier? You and my son in each others arms."
"Adar!! She was upset and not to be outside, so I went to comfort and protect her. Why would you say such a thing!"
"Thranduil....you're kidding right?" you said shaking your head with a shocked gasp.
"Do my eyes deceive me? I certainly have not had that much wine." Thranduil snarked.
"Oh my god...it will never matter what I do. I..I have done everything in my power to show you how much I love you and it is just never fucking good enough. We renewed our vows, not even a week ago and here we are. I defended you, I poured my heart and soul out in my vows, I cried with you! My god I am carrying your child and you haven't even apologized for your treatment of me when you believed her to be of evil, which is the entire reason our marriage is threatened Thranduil, not Haldir!"

"Yes...you defended me and even banished him from here, and yet HERE HE IS AGAIN in my halls, as if he had done NOTHING. Have you forgotten who's Kingdom this is!" Thranduil shouted.
You jumped as his words echoed through the caverns and ran away in tears. Legolas glared at his father.
"Well go on. Go running after her. I can see it in your eyes that you want to." Thranduil ridiculed.
"It should be you going after her, not I." Legolas then turned and did just that.
Thranduil was fighting a war inside of him that he did not know how to fight. A great warrior he was but not of this nature. How he wished it had been him to save you from Alfred.... He had not been the same since he found out you were with child and a huge part of that was because of how he treated you and he had not a clue how to make up for that. How do you make up for calling your own child an abomination to your wife's face? He thought.... And you not forgiving him was eating at his very soul. To have hurt you that bad, he just could not deal with, in a normal way that is. Quite frankly, your love scared the hell out of him. It always had......
Legolas checked your old room, his room and his father's but you were nowhere...inside. He began to worry and went to the front gates. "Guard. Has the Queen been through here?"
"She has Prince Legolas. Outside down the trail is where she went."
"Why have you allowed this? You are under strict orders from the King not to let her leave."
"My Lord, I attempted to keep her inside the gates, but she threatened to kick me...well...there, if I touched her." He said in embarrassment as he pointed to his groin area.
Legolas could not help but snicker, then composed himself. "I understand." he said holding back a grin. He then armed himself and went to look for you.
You walked down the winding trail of the forest in the front of the Kingdom sobbing, feeling so helpless. Part of you just wanted to run back inside and throw yourself in Thranduil's arms and kiss him deeply....the other part wanted to rip his pointy crown from his head and stomp on it. To avoid either situations, you came out here. Nature always helped you relax. You really wanted to go back and down a bottle of wine with him, get shit faced drunk and have angry make up sex with your King... but you could not do that now with a life inside of you, well the sex you could anyways.... She protected you, now you would protect her at all costs.
You realized you had went off the main trail and dusk was coming, so you turned to head back when you heard a noise, a cracking of twigs. You spun around with a gasp, but saw nothing. You hadn't realized how eerily quiet it had became while you were deep in thought. You were not anywhere near the dark forest so it was definitely strange. You panicked thinking of Garrett and began quickly walking, while constantly looking behind you. You heard the noise again and halted, scared to move.

A hand covered you mouth and gripped your waist tightly. Your squeals muffled through the fingers as you squirmed to get away. "Shhhh...Jo...it is I"
You froze and your eyes widened as he slowly took his hand from your mouth. You spun around. "Haldir???!!! What...what are you doing here?? You're supposed to be on your way to Lorien...and why would you grab me like that? You scared the fuck out of me!" you shouted and slapped his arm.
Something was different about him. His stance, the way he looked at you. "I decided not to go. I wanted to be here...with you." he grinned.
"You...decided not to go? Haldir, why on earth...we need Galadriel's help? And...where have you been all this time then?"
He chuckled. "I am an elf Jo..I have been out here, in the trees...watching you. Galadriel cannot help me. There is no help for me."
He was not making any sense and it was frightening you. "Watching...me?"
"Yes. You are so beautiful Jo. I have missed you." he smiled and walked up to you, peering down into your eyes. "Have you not missed me at all? My touch..." he whispered as he stroked your cheek. "My kiss..." He leaned down and laid his lips on yours. For just a few moments you allowed it as it felt nice. His tongue then entered your mouth as his kiss became intense and he pulled your hips against his raging hard cock.
You began to push him away. "Haldir! What are you doing!" you gasped trying to catch your breath. Then you noticed it. His sweet blue eyes, were black as coal. "Your....eyes..." you whispered in shock.
"They are only for you my Jo. I want to make love to you again, right here, right now." He moved towards you and you stepped back in fright. "Jo, baby...do not be afraid. It is I, Haldir?"
"You are not Haldir..." you squeaked. You tried to turn and run, but he grabbed you up from behind and laughed, groping at your breasts, then pulling your dress up and firmly rubbed your cunt. "Haldir stop!!" you yelled as you fought to free yourself but he was so strong.
"Stop fighting me Jo, it will be so much more pleasant not only for you, but for me." You gasped at those familiar words and gutted him with your elbow. He released you and you spun around with full eyes. "P..P...Peter?"
"Ding ding ding, what do we got for her Johnny?" he said with a large grin. "Oh how I have missed you baby. We have a lot of catching up to do, I mean, since I was eaten by spiders. It is so surreal being in this body, not bad, except it had to be one of these pointy eared freaks. Seems he's well equipped where it counts though. SO, whad'ya say babe, right here, up against this tree?" He went to touch you and you sliced his face with your fingernail. This enraged him. Slap! is all you heard ring through your ears and your face stung of fire as you fell to the ground. You held your cheek and began frantically scooting away from him. He bent down and forcefully swiped you up as you kicked and screamed but he stifled you with his hand over your mouth again, then shoved you against the tree face first. With his other hand, he undid his pants and lifted your dress. "I am going to remove my hand and if you scream...I am going to shove my cock, or this cock I should say, into a very unpleasant place. If you don't, then it will be much easier for you. Your choice. Yes?"
You nodded and he slowly removed his hand. "Haldir." you whimpered. "I know you can hear me, please don't let him do this, fight him."
Peter chuckled. "Haldir cannot help you. I have complete control of him. Do you really want to make me gag you?"
"Haldir please!! You love me, you would never do this."
"Ok, now I think I am going to be sick. Let's keep the L word out of this...He couldn't possibly love you that much. You aren't worth a thing, except for that nice tight pussy." His words were making you sick. It was Haldir's voice and body, but it was entirely Peter inside of him.
"Haldir...I...I love you...." you cried. Peter's grip suddenly loosened but not enough for you to escape. He began to blink as if he were trying to focus.

"What do you mean it is not him?? Am I not looking at Haldir? Who just appeared to be tryin to..." He couldn't say it. "I heard you scream Josie?"
You were slightly hyperventilating. "It is the curse! It's....Peter..."
Legolas's eyes grew wide. "I..I believe you. Guards, take him quickly to the infirmary, tell the healers to secure him."
"Restrain him?? Legolas, he is injured!"
"Yes Josie, but we do not know if Peter is gone. It is for theirs and his own protection. We must get back. I am sure my father has now heard this from my thoughts, or even Haldir's and is on a war path. I have to make sure Haldir is kept safe."
Thranduil....he caused this. You didn't even know how to feel at the moment. "Jo..." Haldir lightly whispered with his eyes now of their sweet sky blue again. "I...I would never....I could not fight..."
"Shhhh." you said against his lips as you looked into his tear filled eyes. "But you did fight...I know you would never do this to me...I do not blame you. We are going to help you. I will be here with you OK?" you said as you held his cold clammy hand.
"Legolas...is he going to be alright??" you asked in private.
"I did not aim to kill him. I expect a full recovery but it will be some time. Hopefully, the curse has ran it's course and Peter is gone. I will monitor him."
The guards carried Haldir off and you followed closely with Legolas by your side. They took him into the infirmary and Thranduil came rushing in. "What is the meaning of...." and he came to a screeching halt when he saw your face. "Josephine..." he whispered with large eyes and walked to you, slowly bringing the tips of his fingers to your bruised cheek.
You cried as he lightly touched you. Not from physical pain, but a pain inside you of utter disbelief. "You..." you managed to speak in a low whisper. "You caused this...you and your black magic. Are you happy now?? Haldir is badly hurt and I...I was [email protected] none other again... than Peter. A very dead Peter that possessed Haldir's body..." You were shaking profusely and Thranduil could not speak, only stare at you with the worst pain he had ever felt, besides when he had believed you were dead.
He finally found words. "Josephine...I never would have wished this.."
"But you did...by cursing Haldir, knowing damn well black magic will come back to you by the power of 3 times 3...and boy did it sure ever. You really topped it off this time. It's like, just when I think you cannot sink any lower, you do. Will you ever hit rock bottom Thranduil??? Haldir will be cared for here and I swear to God, you will stay away from him and let him heal...and right now, you will stay away from me...." You then walked away and went into the infirmary. Legolas gave his father a pitiful look and then followed you.
Thranduil was left in the dark halls all alone with what he had done. Had he finally hit rock bottom as you said? He knew not what to do. The look in your eyes crushed him. You were almost violated in such a horrific way and he did not know how to process that because he unknowingly set it into motion.. Had he now lost you forever?

The healers worked at removing the arrow and sealing the wound, constantly pouring the magic waters over it and making him drink the water as well. He flinched in pain as they worked while keeping his hands bound together. Your heart was breaking for him as you stood where he could see you. Thranduil wanted to do something, but he knew he could not heal him because it was his own magic he used against him, and one's own magic cannot be used against it's own. . The same thing happened when Haldir was speared by Maldyr's sword in the dark caves. Thranduil's magic would not help him because of the curse he had placed on him using none other than, his hourglass as he had did this time. Thranduil slowly retreated down the long empty halls with his tail tucked between his legs.
Haldir's pain became so much that he passed out. You broke down crying and Legolas pulled you into his arms. He did not know what else to do. He felt horrible that he had to take such drastic matters, but he had to stop him from hurting you. "My Lady...an ignorant question this may be, but...are you alright?" You pulled your face from his neck and wiped your tears, nodding. He saw your bruised cheek and melted. His hand came up and laid softly over it as he peered down into your eyes. Thranduil could have healed it but he was certain you did not want him to touch you. "Bring the healing ointment." Legolas ordered to one of the elven healers. It looked like a crushed mess of berries, but you knew the foods here had their magic just like the water. He poured some water into it and mashed it up some more, then took his fingers and gently rubbed it over your cheekbone. You winced. "I..I am so sorry my Lady...I do not mean to hurt you." he said in panic.
"Legolas...it is alright. I will be fine."
"Will you?" he asked sincerely because of what you just endured.
"I will if you stay with me. I do not want to be alone, and I cannot face Thranduil...I just cannot..."
"Of course my Lady. Whatever you require, I shall provide to the best of my abilities." You didn't even mind him calling you that anymore because the sweet term of endearment made you feel better, cared for....Haldir was now finally resting peacefully but they would not unbind his hands and also had his body strapped down. You felt that Peter was gone, but they had to be certain for all's safety. "Come...let me take you to get some rest. Haldir will sleep from the pain elixir's he was given. I will check on him frequently and the guards will be outside his door, along with a healer remaining inside his room.
You didn't want to leave but agreed. You trusted Legolas more than anyone at this point. You told the healer that if Haldir awoke, to tell him you would be back, and also to come notify you. She bowed her head to her Queen and then you left with Legolas steadying you along the way as you felt quite weakened from exhaustion, mentally and physically. You went into Legolas's room and immediately broke down, falling to your knees in quite a hysteria. He knelt down and squeezed you tight. "What am I going to do Legolas?" you sobbed onto his chest.
"I do not know my Lady. I wish I could do something. How about you go take a relaxing bath in the magic waters and I will go back to check on Haldir."
"Just as long as you come right back."
He could see your hesitance of not wanting him to leave. "I will be quick my Lady.."
He left and you did as he suggested. The water felt amazing and it certainly helped you relax after all you just suffered. You washed off the berry mixture on your face, and the bruise was almost non existent. You got out and pinned your hair up, then put on a robe. You felt somewhat better, at least physically. When you came out, Legolas was already back as promised. "Haldir is still resting peacefully. He most likely will not wake till morning as the remedies he has been given are pretty wicked." Legolas said with a grin. "Even if Peter were still there, he could not surface through that."
"But he could when the drugs wear off??"

"Let us hope not. If so, he is still restrained and we will figure out a way to help him, if it comes to that. Please try to relax."
"I really do not know what I would do without you right now Legolas Greenleaf."
He stared at you, then reached for your face. "You...seem to have missed a spot of the berry mixture." he softly said as he rubbed it from your ear onto his thumb, then he brought it to his mouth and licked it off. "Delicious." he said as he gazed at your ear, then suddenly looked in your widened eyes. "No..I mean...the berries...oh god.." he turned away with a hint of berry color now shading his face. You slightly giggled and touched your ear in embarrassment to feel of any he might have missed.
"I think I am in need of sleep. Legolas...will you lay with me...I..I mean lay beside me." God now you felt quite idiotic, but Legolas took it with a grain of salt as he was always so calm and collected. "I am just afraid to be alone, even if you are right here on the floor."
He understood. "Of course my...Josie. I mean just Josie." he said as he rubbed his eyes in confusion to his own words.
You got under the covers, facing away from him. He removed his boots only and laid next to you, on top of the blankets. As you relaxed, drifting off to sleep, your hand reached behind you and found his hand, entwining your fingers through his. His eyes widened but he kept his hand there, and lightly squeezed yours.
Throughout the night, Legolas did as promised and kept checking on Haldir, who was still sound asleep like he knew he would be. He finally was able to fall asleep himself just before dawn and he went into dreamland. What he dreamt of he certainly did not expect nor ever think of in his waking hours. You had turned over towards him, staring him right in the eyes. "Legolas, I wish to feel your lips on mine. I am so lonely. Please..." your voice echoed over his face as you were only inches from it. He could smell your breath, it was something of which he has never breathed...so mesmerizing, calling to him in a place deep inside his pants. His hand caressed your face as you moaned his name. His mouth lowered and his lips almost touched yours...then he awakened with a gasp and saw that you were face to face with him, but sound asleep. He also noticed his manhood was hard as hell and it throbbed in pain. He felt so utterly ridiculous for having such thoughts...as his thoughts asked him why? He snuck out of the bed and went to the washroom where he had to release himself or he would have unraveled right there beside you. As he came almost instantly, by his own hand, his mind swirled with visions of you that he did not mean to have. But they were there...why, he asked himself again, as the last pulse spat from his cock. Now he felt extremely guilty. He let himself soften and went back to lay by you, on his back, staring at the ceiling in disbelief of what just occurred. This has never happened to him, not even with Tauriel. He felt so intrusive yet you knew nothing of it....He blocked it out of his mind and let himself fall back asleep.
You awoke and immediately got dressed, and left to got to Haldir's side. No one came for you in the middle of the night so you assumed all was well. You walked in and saw Haldir sleeping peacefully and your heart melted as you went to him, tears falling, and lightly stroked his face. As awful as it had been for you, you couldn't imagine what it was like for him. Legolas stood in the doorway watching. He never realized how deep your feelings were for Haldir until this moment. But he also knew they did not compare to what you felt for his father. He snuck back out undetected, and went to look for Thranduil. As pissed as he was at him, he knew he did not mean for such a thing to happen. He knew that you knew that too deep down inside.
Thranduil was who he was. Set in his ways of thousands of years. He had never experienced anything like you. As you sat and looked at Haldir, your mind drifted to your one great love. Even after everything, you still loved him immensely, More than cín own cuil (More than your own life.) He was a bad habit you would never be able to break. An addiction. A love so rare that only happened in fairy tales. A fairy tale you were living in. Could you forgive him for this? You knew in your heart you could and would. You and he created a beautiful life, but that is not why you would forgive him...it was because your heart was his and his yours. Neither would belong to another. You loved him long before this...even long before you knew he existed. You felt a sudden need to go to him, regardless of everything. A rare connection you both shared.....
Legolas walked in to find his father passed out in his chair, most likely drunk as he has been for days now. But as he went closer, he saw the hourglass on the floor under where his hand hung....shattered. He must have fallen asleep and dropped it. "No!!!" Legolas shouted and ran to his father.
Arwen told all of you back in Rivendell that when the beholder of the hourglass places a curse on another, the curse affects that person but also with consequences that come back to the beholder.... breaking the hourglass when there is a curse on it, brings the curse back solely to the beholder 3 times 3. This is the price of black magic. As Thranduil told you, it is never free. Thranduil received his karma by what happened to you....now he is receiving it 3 fold from the hourglass being broken...
Legolas pulled his limp father's body to the ground and checked his pulse. It was barely detectable, but still there. You entered to witness this. The panic, the fear, the other indescribable feelings that coursed through you were just that.... indescribable.. You saw the man you love lying still on the floor with Legolas hovering over him crying..........as you heard the crow outside cawing 3 times.......

This episode sucks rotten eggs.  In the movie, Goku turned Super Saiyan Blue to show Frieza his full power, and then Frieza responded by transforming into his new ultimate form.  In Dragon Ball Super, that moment is spread across two episodes.  Goku turns Blue in Episode 24, and the ““cliffhanger”“ is him asking Frieza to show his stuff. 
So you’d think Frieza would open the episiode with his transformation, but he doesn’t.  He talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and then he finally transforms in to Golden Frieza.  While this is going on, Jaco tries to take some photos, and he insists that this is for his report to the Galactic Patrol.  Bulma asks what will happen when he submits the report, and he says the Earth will likely be designated a hazardous zone and the GP will destroy it with a missile.  So Bulma stomps on his camera.

Then we see Jaco with another camera.  This is the “highlight” of this half of the episode, because at least something is happening here.

Now that we’ve finally got Golden Frieza on the board, let me take a moment to critique his design.  In this scene, he actually looks.... pretty cool!  Honestly, this might be better than he looked in the Resurrection F movie.  I think the trick is to stick closely to the Fourth Form Freiza design, and to add plenty of highlights.

Also, he looks pretty fucking sweet when he’s got the aura effects.  They put some red into it and it’s very pleasing.  He actually looks like he’s made out of gold.  When he’s powered up, he looks like hot gold.

The problem is that, most of the time, Golden Frieza winds up looking like this.  Without the shiny highlights, without the fiery aura effects, he looks like a bootleg Frieza action figure that got the wrong color scheme.  All the yellows are pale and brown.  He looks like he’s made of mustard, or baby food, or Super Saiyan 4 Goku’s pants.  He looks like shit, figuratively and literally.

Anyway, they fight for a little bit, and then we cut to Beerus and Whis heading for Earth to collect Bulma’s sundae, but they run into Champa and Vados first. Beerus gripes about him trespassing in Universe 7, when Champa belongs in Universe 6, but they end up going their separate ways.

When Beerus arrives, Jaco asks Bulma to take a picture of them together, and she realizes that he was lying about using the photos for his official report.  He just wants these for his personal scrapbook.  Okay, but if that’s so, then why did he say all that crap about the GP destroying the Earth?  I’m pretty sure he has two cameras because he uses one for work photos and one for personal photos. 
Also, now that I’ve read the Jaco manga, I’m finding all these Bulma/Jaco scenes really irritating.  Isn’t Jaco really powerful? Like, not on the level of the Z-Fighters, obviously, but he dropkicked a rocket away from a city.  Yet he allows Bulma to just manhandle him throughout this arc. 
What sucks is that this whole Res F business is supposed to be a nostalgia trip to the fight on Namek, and the one (1) thing they managed to successfully carry over from those days was all the pointless filler scenes where Bulma complains a lot to fill time.

Back to the fight.   Oh, wait, this fight looks like diarrhea.

They did a great job re-debuting Golden Frieza, then immediately backslid in to the same shoddy visuals.  So much of this show looks like a bad flash animation.  It’s pathetic.  You can accuse me of cherry-picking the uglier screenshots from the episode, and to be fair, I am kind of doing that.  There are some more on-model screenshots in my folder.
The point is that it keeps switching back and forth, and the ugliest stills always come from action sequences, or when a bunch of characters are standing around, which is like 80% of this show.  When it’s characters standing in a group, you’re given plenty of time to stare at the crappy drawing and notice how crapy it is.  When it’s Frieza hitting Goku in the A-plot, the crappy drawings all work together to make a really weak animation that detracts from the story that they’re trying to tell.

The one sequence I’ll praise here is when Frieza descends upon Goku as he lies in a crater.  It’s a pretty simple shot.  They just to a bird’s-eye image of Frieza and shrank it to make it look like he’s floating down to the ground.  They make it a little blurry as he goes, to imitate the way he’d be out of focus in a real-life camera.

The reason I’m impressed with this is because usually Dragon Ball Super will do a shot like this by drawing the character smaller across multiple cels, and each one will get crappier as the character gets smaller and smaller.  It’s like someone at Toei finally realized it was 2016, and they can use computers to solve these kinds of logistical challenges.

oh my god i forgot abt cabbage man being introduced in omashu. he was at the gate but he didnt' say anything! i was waiting for that scream. hopefully next time
oh is this jet. at first i thought it was haru but the shorter hair. sokka's immediate disapproval. this is jet huh. ok. ok i see you

OH they're putting this kid in the first season < i said that they looked it up and they do visit the northern air temple in s1. the fact that he and assumedly his father are in omashu instead is. hm. a choice.
jet also being in omashu is weird considering they made it a point to say there's no fire nation presence in omashu. what business does he have here. like why. that's his whole thing. hunting soldiers.
teo's design is sick tho, love the hair. love the goggles. thought his father caused that explosion but if not that was a weird way to show katara and aang are benders.
OH ok now i get it. jet and co are bombing parts of the city as a way for the ppl to rise up. trying to drag omashu into the war. i do like that if that's the case. good angle
i!!!!!!! don't like mai's hair. are they like space buns? what was wrong with her original hair? they had that sort of ornate hairstyle down for suki's mom. i like thalia tran's voice but the hair is rly throwing me off, not to mention the scene they're all introduced in is rly dark for some reason????? if it's colored black i cannot see it.

i don't rly have full context so idk that i can give a complete opinion based on conjecture. the significance behind having teo and sai inhabit the northern air temple was about sharing culture and more than just idk... sai giving weapons to the fire nation to protect their livelihood. like that is a part of it, sure, but by removing the setting, it's taking away a lot of nuance the whole situation had.
jet and co being behind the bombs makes sense but idk in what context. if they're tailing fire nation spies outside (outside???? or does omashu having a woodsy side to it where they've set up camp and i just missed it?) the city to eliminate them, then why also bomb them inside the city? that part to me still seems like indiscriminate attacks meant to incite the army to fight. but i will hold back bc i dont wanna give these writers credit if thats not the case and its smth stupid instead rhgowhgqeg
speaking of stupid. can we live in an era (as someone who knows very little about showrunning) where actors voice if something pertaining to their character is bad or doesn't make sense. didn't emilia clarke wander around london or whatever in absolute turmoil bc she hated the ending for her character in game of thrones but in the end she still went thru w it bc what else could she do. i wanna live in a world where an actor reads a script or tries to act smth out and stops and goes no. no this is stupid i don't like this he would not say that. and it like, have weight and significance?? like if bad writing exists, instead of letting it slide, can ppl in the making of the show voice their opinions? if smth is bad then it's bad.
this is all bc of the senseless iroh pushing zuko to the ground and drawing attn to himself scene at the end of e3. like why. the gate was right there. no one was checking faces. cover zuko's head again and run out in the crowd. do anything aside from the needless sacrifice like what was the point, whyyyyyy, i don't understand.
(this was an interesting mashup episode but tbh all i was thinking thru watching it was 'wow! ppl who get into atla thru the netflix adaptation r gonna be so confused when they watch the cartoon and learn jet and teo are introduced at different points of the season from each other and omashu. completely different points. omashu is first half, jet is middle, teo and sai are end. not a bad thing it was just jarring to think abt.)
once again i do not like anything they've done with iroh's character.
idk i'll probably go in depth next episode when everything hopefully gets explained better but. maybe bc they're making atla into a drama instead of the action/adventure it was originally, they feel like everything has to be "dramatized" and it's sucking the soul out of the show? the comedy isn't there really, which is a shame. atla's comedy is like the golden standard of cartoon kids-rated comedy. i would've loved to see them get into omashu by disguising aang and katara running with the absurd surname and that whole element, instead of sneaking in with jet with what tries to be humor maybe but falls short of such. this show needs to be funnier to be successful in my eyes.
also i know i said this last time but i wanna say it again re: the change in genre. taking this show from a global journey adventure serial and trying to make it a drama is removing a lot of what made atla work so well. there was so much planning and nuance in everything, and it worked bc of the genre it fit into. trying to slice and dice certain elements of a season to fit a not even 8 hr runtime isn't great to begin with, but like. you can make the show more adult-oriented without changing what it is at its core, y'know?
now that there's definitely gonna be a good chunk of next episode also set in omashu, i rly hope there's some nod to haru and that it's not smth they cut entirely. tbh, i said everything connects throughout atla's three seasons, and this rly makes me wonder if they get a s2, what they're planning on doing then. i thought before this came out that if they were gonna cut anything, that i actually didn't care for jet's episode that much, but if you cut out jet, then you get rid of one of the more iconic scenes of s2, if not the whole show, where he's being brainwashed by the dai li. everything connects. the friends you make along the way come back to lend their assistance. i really hope the rest of what they'll do with omashu is decent and not wasted time.

COMMISSION BATCH 5 IS OPEN!!
The previous batch is done, but money is still tight, and I need to keep the funds coming. I will take a short break after the opening of the coms, but I will be accepting commissions orders during the break. I just wanna take care of some personal art. I enjoy drawing for you guys and being both generous and experimental, but rent fund is important, and I can only offer so much at a time. I am still close to landing full scale employment, but I am not there yet.
I know I added greyscale to the line art, and I love doing that. In my regret, made the choice to make greyscale a seperate item rather than something I randomly add to the lineart tier. I am sorry, but rent money is important. Living in CA isn't cheap.
I appreciate your understanding and I am sorry for the inconvenience. I love you guys and I love drawing for you all. And if I could, I would draw for free, simply because I see art as a hobby rather than a profession.
Though I will still offer a 15% discount for anything sumo related, since that happens to be my selling point (i tried fighting it, but there is no escaping where I started).
Even if you cannot afford, You can always help by spreading the word and reaching a larger audience.

-overcomplex drawings (they take significantly longer than they should and I prefer to risk drawing complex stuff on my own time) -Gore (Which leaves hard vore out of the question) -Abuse and cruelty art (Things like rape, abuse, or degradation.) -Slob or uber immobile fat. -Capepunk (Modern "realistic" Superhero genre. I just don't like the current modern superhero genre and its oversaturation.) -Certain Copyrighted characters and IPs (There can be some exceptions) -Other people's OCs without their permissions (There is drama around it. Dont drag me into any more drama.) -Characters that are or look underaged (I have the FBI on speed dial) -Diapers fetish (just...just no) -Political art (Should I even need to explain why?). -politically incorrect shit (You are more mature than this.)
To order to order a commission from me, You need something of a social media presence. at least a DA, Twitter, or most importiantly FA, that you had for some time at the time of ordering a com. This allows me to screen for security purposes.
I will not be accepting commissions from:
-Newly created FA or social media pages, be it burner accounts or whatever. -social media individuals that have a significant degree of controversy within the last year or so. I want to avoid controversy. -individuals under the age of 18. -Individuals that have a habit of hiding their behaviors behind "muh free speech." I would rather be with mature people thank you very much. -MAPS (should I even explain?) -People who make their political views their own personality (I dont want you as my customer base anyways)
The second thing to fill out a google form, this has everything you need to make an order from teir to whether you want the com to be nsfw or not.
Major thing to note: Do remember that I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. So my apologies in advance.
Lastly, If I approve, I will send you the invoice. I am a Pay-upfront person, so that means if you want your slot in the queue, you need to pay upfront and that is strictly invoice only.
When you Order from me, you agree to the written agreements stated above and any violation would bar you from any future coms. Standards come first over money.
